✓ Good way to track and show off your tripThis app is a great way to show off and track where you have been/where you are going. Videos and photos upload easy and you show off your profile to others. A couple of bugs in the date/time section of each trip that need resolving to make your trip accurate. Hopefully the app gets more popular and the network of travellers grows.Version: 28.1

✓ Blind person’s perspectiveHi I am blind and I use the VoiceOver screen reader on the iPhone when accessing the app. Some of the app is quite accessible and I can access the information using VoiceOver. However there are a lot of unlabelled buttons and I’m having to swipe and a lot to find information to experience can be improved for blind screen reader users..Version: 69.0
✓ It's ok.I downloaded the guide for Rome, IT hoping to get some good audio guides for different sites in the city. Sadly, most of the point of interest didn't have audio and those that did were 3 min intros that I could have just read on signs/online. One of the audio guides actually said you can learn a lot more if you take a tour in person...The map of the sights was helpful but otherwise it doesn't provide much addition info. Personally, I wouldn't have spent the money for this guide if I had known what I would get..Version: 2.1.4
✓ Inaccurate, no response from AndyBased on what I saw and the support I received, I wouldn’t spend the memory on this app if it was free. I definitely wouldn’t spend $$ for this! I was able to download one city guide for free, so I picked Savannah, GA, which I know well, to get a feel for the quality of the guide and to see how it matches up with my tastes. I didn’t see anything special- you would get the same recommendations from TripAdvisor, yelp, or any of the free guides out there. What you *wouldn’t* get is recommendations for restaurants that closed several years ago or bars in the “food” category (I mean, you can eat the drink garnish, I guess, so technically it’s dinner?) When you sign up and download a city guide, you get an email from “Andy” that tells you to call, text or email him back. I tried this to see if there was a way to suggest corrections, but never got any response..Version: 3.2.0
✓ Disappointing Travel App for the moneyIf this were a free app, I would rate it higher. However, you need to make in app purchases for either individual cities or a larger fee for an annual unlimited access I purchased access to only the Washington DC travel pack. I was very disappointed to have spent $10 for a an app with little information and virtually no useful information that one would want to know or need to know while visiting a location. For example, each of the museums and government facilities has their own security standards, screening and what you are permitted to bring in. Trip Scout provided none of this information. In addition, the app only provides a brief overview of the site and then refers you to an outside website. You could do that on your own, get better information, and save yourself some money!.Version: 2.9.0
✓ IcelandI can only speak to the Iceland guide. I bought the app as part of my trip planning and thought it would be helpful for navigation. I found the content had a lot of gaps and felt kind of random. Sites that were included linked to nonexistent third party content. Ended up using google maps for both content (checking out reviews and posted pics) and navigation as cell/data service was fine. Cross referenced stuff using trip advisor and created starred places and was good to go..Version: 2.7.1

✓ Bait and switch audio tourUPDATE Jun 14th: Thank you to Tripscout for your response. I appreciate hearing you are working on making it easier to communicate. For point #1: I wish I could upload screenshots to show that even today I still see listed at your web page for the Krakow tour that an audio tour is a benefit so I am keeping my rating the same. For point #2: it is great to be reminded that my credit card is safe. ORIGINAL REVIEW I am looking for an audio tour of Krakow and found TripScout lists one at their website in their web page for Krakow. I was directed to download the app, and was excited see positive reviews. But after downloading the app, then paying for the Krakow tour, the app says there is no audio guide for Krakow. There is no contact info anywhere to directly reach TripScout, so I am left to ask here: why do you list an audio guide, take my money, then tell me there is no such guide? It now worry that I have been scammed and will have to monitor my credit card transactions. I did not want to write this, but I see no other way to 1) try and reach TripScout; and 2) warn others. I will update my review if I hear back from them. In the meantime I am out $$, and still in need of an audio guide..Version: 2.8.1
✓ Terrible“Add place” search shows incomplete results so you need to manually go to another search bar, find whatever destination / place you’d like, then “bookmark” it. Only after this you can go back to your itinerary and add the place. Still, I insisted and built my itinerary this way. After working for a couple of hours, when I added another place I LOST all my itinerary. Gone. Wasted hours Not recommended at all.Version: 73.0
✓ Promised a lot turned out inaccurate and genericI was looking forward to using trip scout as I travel a lot and hoped to find places I’ve not been/seen in some of my favourite locations. What I found however is very generic recommendations not for the actual place I’m looking for but the nearest big city. As an example Napa returns searches for San Fran instead of Napa and Napa Valley whole Encinitas shows San Diego and surrounding areas with no actual Encinitas recommendations. In both whole search could have easily filled with so much to see and do in the area itself that I feel people who actually don’t know that are missing out. I’d love you guys to consider accuracy and specificity more in the future..Version: 25.0
✓ Started great but glitches and won’t download audioThe app started out great but after purchasing the London package, I found that the map view (supposedly available to view without cell data) flickered in and out when trying to view individual sites. Then I found that the audio guides to each site stopped working. I could listen again to descriptions I’d already listened to. But no new ones could be listened to. Even when I returned to WiFi these remained unavailable. I’d seriously consider holding off until these glitches are corrected..Version: 2.8.1

✓ Great app but now just an errorGreat app that I used in the states however after buying three of the cities for japan day one of the trip comes and I get “a server with the specified hostname could not be found.” Error when I try to sign into the app rendering the app useless. ✓ IcelandI have only used this for Iceland. I was expecting much more detail. This seems to only cover the major landmarks and destinations, leaving out many other significant points of interest. The information on each place is very limited with only one picture provided and a short description. For $9.99 I was expecting a lot more information and details. I wish I could have my money back because this is useless to me. I’ll just stick to trip advisor and my Lonely Planet book which actually has useful details to guide me along my trip and cost about the same..Version: 2.7.1
✓ Insane Amount of NotificationsThis app has a lot of good content, but the amount of notifications this app spams you with is absolutely insane. I heard a lot of good things about this app, so I just downloaded it the other day and I’ve been immediately bombarded with 30+ notifications per day. I just looked to see if there was a way to personalize what kind/how many notifications you get and there doesn’t appear to be any options for it. It’s either you get spammed with notifications all day, or you don’t get any at all. Or you just deselect a bunch of things that you’re interested in, but that totally defeats the purpose of the app. I don’t think I’ve ever left a negative review on here before, but I expected much better from such a highly regarded app..Version: 64.0

✓ DisappointingBought this for an upcoming trip to Copenhagen. I was disappointed to find that the information provided for many spots was a copy/paste from sources on the web that I had already read. How is this their “team of local experts?” For each spot just one photo and little information then it just sends you to Foursquare for more info. Just use Foursquare or Yelp. Not worth paying them to compile info available on the web. Some of the information is wrong as well. How can a new Copenhagen travel guide have NOMA in the old location still? On top of that the interface is clunky with the spots showing large thumbnails that are difficult to select and some map controls overlapping so you can’t select them. Maybe this is better for Larger US or Euro cites but a waste for me..Version: 3.1.0
