✓ Trial and Error GameplayBadland 2 feels like a real missed opportunity. The ability to move left and right is welcome but you still cannot explore levels at your own pace with the screen automatically scrolling instead, often rapidly. During gameplay deadly obstacles tend to appear quickly leaving little time to react, and so the game is very much based on trial and error. This is fine at first, but finishing levels on the tenth restart (if you're lucky) is not particularly rewarding in the long run. In Badland 2 knowing what's coming feels far more important than skill. There are some neat little puzzles scattered through the game but you're given next to no time to solve them before you're run off the screen. As a result I found myself stumbling across solutions which is far less rewarding than taking a little time to think it through. Overall this is a beautiful game but it is very much more of the same and I didn't find it as impressive as it was in 2013..Nocturne1612Version: 1.0

✓ Great game but a little disappointedI got the first game and it was great there were lots of levels, a level editor, and local multiplayer. 5/5. Sadly the second version was very disappointing. The first game had set my expectations super high but this game lacked the local multiplayer and level editor. Although the online multiplayer is a great idea there should have been an option to join an online server and either compete in a race or versus over real-time. I played this game a lot and got thru all levels in the first game. This is too hard for a casual player, especially one whose never played and might not know the joys of the first game. ✓ Good but could be greatWhile I do love the entire BADLAND series. Two just seems a lot like one. Yes there are different things and actions you can take I just felt like there could have been more. Especially since when I originally started playing any of the badland’s it was totally free. I don’t feel like you should have started charging for 1, fine for 2 since it’s always been .99 cents. But you shouldn’t charge people for something that was once free. And since you charge the .99 cents for badlands 2 which I gladly paid bc I love your games I just felt like there could have been more to the game is all. Maybe some small 3-D actions or modes and possibly a bit of a storyline to the game or clones. I’m not sure just something lol. In closing, the game is definitely worth the 99 cents and it’s very fun and there’s a lot of the original fun from badlands 2. Except for the fact that it doesn’t have an editor, I get that it might be hard to get the camera stuff down, if you need help with the camera, take an example from Mario maker 2, they’ve made it possible to do what you’re wanting to do. ✓ Good game, but....I liked the original badlands, however it was mainly for the coop which was more fun. To be honest, the single player here is pretty fun, and I don't really mind the speed at which the screen is moving (don't particularly understand why it's an issue), while I also think that single player is actually very fun. HOWEVER, I much prefer the original badlands because in this there is NO COOP, which was the main selling point of the original game :/. ✓ Beautiful graphics, terrible gameIt looks amazing but plays terribly. It's like flappy birds with nice textures. Basically have to keep the bird from touching the ground. Would have loved the game if you could play at your own pace or even if there was some sort of free mode, unfortunately the screen moves too fast to enjoy any of the scenery and it seems the only challenge is getting through the obstacles in time. There is no puzzle element to it as you just have to guess because everything moves too fast. ✓ Missing editorOkay, so this is of course an amazing game, adds more to BADLAND 1, but it doesn’t have an editor. I realise that an editor would be more complex than the original, with the levels going up and down, rather than just always to the right. There are liquid physics and more complicated backgrounds, and other things. BUT: it would boost sales for sure! You could add it as an in-app purchase, and I’m sure that I, and many others, would pay 2 or 3 dollars for a BADLAND 2 level editor. Thank you for such an amazing game! ✓ High cost, Lack of contentThis game is ok, I bought the first badland and it was great! 4 person local multiplayer and a huge campaign, and then I buy this, $9 Aus, and I get 3 days, which have around 10 levels in them, and then there's multiplayer, which only has you competing against the ghosts of other players and trying to beat times or clone counts, that is not worth $9 dollars, I know more content is coming soon but this is just unacceptable that we get this little content in a brand new game, and the fact that we no longer have content from the PREVIOUS game, WHY WOULD YOU TAKE OUT LOCAL MULTIPLAER AND CO-OP? BADLAND 2 retains the same magic from the original except... There isn't as much content. When I first saw this game it was about $9:00 and when I bought it it was around $5:00. This game misses out of the chaotic and hilariously fun multiplayer and co-op but I think are a lot of people are missing out here is that there isn't going to be a local multiplayer in BADLAND! The single player lets you move left and right which means you have to use the right side of the screen for right and the left side for left. This mechanic is also basically useless in the game because of how little you will be using it; oh and when you do need to use it you completely forget about it! This doesn't really feel like a sequel, it feels like an unfinished game unfortunately. ✓ Age mover is dumb, impossible, and worthlessMy complaint is that the 40th level, Age Mover, is impossible. I’m at the checkpoint where a wheel is moving across a span where it shields you from lasers, but lifting it up at the second point is next to impossible. ✓ Been with this game for years but...So I’ve been with Badland since I was a kid and I love it so much, now I know you get this a lot but PLEASE make a level editor. When it first came out for 1 I was super excited and got it the second it came out, and I just came back to this game and found you you made a second game so I got it, played the first world, then got disappointed from the lack of one. ✓ Frustrating horror showThe game could be enjoyable. It's not. It's an exercise in unmitigated frustration and rage. The developers (whom I have come to loath) have made a game that looks very pretty, but they're all clearly arch sadists/masochists for conceiving of levels (in the later stages at least) which require pixel perfect placement... it's an IPHONE...and psychic powers of prediction, with no way near enough save/waypoints. ✓ Original was betterThe touch system in this is un usable. Feels like u programmed it for force touch which is horrible and non responsive. After playing original for hours. I cant stand more than 5 minutes of smashing my phone in order to move. Sorry but the sequel is a bust. Nice try with going left but it doesnt work on forced movement games. ✓ If you’re intoGames where you die over and over again and keep repeating it until you finally beat the level, then you’ll love this game. Not my cup of tea. I don’t mind problem solving if it takes me two or three tries to get through, but this is the type of game that requires you to die a million times by way of trial and error just so you know where the obstacles are and what they do. I still give it three stars for the nice visuals and the fact that I understand these types of games are practically their own genre.
