Hard sellThe app is a good idea and concept, however I have been put off by the hard sell approach.. Why they don’t offer a 14 day free trial, without having to subscribe is beyond me.. Obviously after 14 days you would have had adequate time to play with and also explore all the features.. Then once you are completely hooked, then offer the subscription @ £9.99 per month.. Not everyone wants to go through the rigmarole of entering all your details, only to discover it’s not what you are looking for, and then have to cancel you subscription.. come on guys; quality sells itself, not clever marketing hooks.. 👎.Version: 1.18.2

Je veux me désabonner j’ai jamais voulu de cette application.cimment ce désabonnerJe ne suis pas intéressé commence se désabonner.Version: 1.26.1

Multi device useHave a subscription. Works normally on the iPhone Impossible to use on iPad: keep receiving notice to « suscribe » in order to access most features, even though I already have an active account and subscription. Would consider this as a deal-breaker if does not get fixed....Version: 1.31.0

Search filters are goneThe single greatest feature of this service (for me) was the fine grained search, and it appears to be gone now. I want to search for “Asturias”, tap “works” filter those results by composer (Albéniz), then see all arrangements, then see specific recordings. As it is, the search just returned everything with “Asturias” in it with different arrangements being different works. Honestly if I can’t search like this, this billing cycle will be my last. Also, please don’t even show me search results that aren’t available in my country. Also, please add a queue feature..Version: 1.35.2

Now it crashes repeatedlyUpdate - after latest update the app crashes any time you search for anything. I even deleted the app and reinstalled. Same result. There is a major problem with it when you have to start and start a track. I’ll have to stop the music for a few minutes while I have a conversation with a coworker (I stream to a Bluetooth speaker in my office) and when the conversation is over I will hit play. It will usually start the track over again or it will leap ahead arbitrarily to another track. Otherwise I love this service and am happy to pay for it. It fills a great void for classical fans..Version: 1.23.4

Great idea shame about realityWonderful idea and lots of good things about this app. Unfortunately it’s confusing to use - searches for whole pieces of music bring up selections over and over again, and there is nothing to point you towards the full piece. Shame I would have paid for it if it were functional..Version: 1.18.5

Would give youA higher rating. But your replies from listeners are years old and you do not have any updated messages from other people who listen to your app.Version: 1.49.3

Great collection and curated playlists.Hello, IDAGIO is a great tool and music service that provides that user a range of different high quality lossless recordings. The music is updated regularly and new recordings are available instantly. However, the app needs a bit more work, it is not very user friendly and has bugs that needs fixing: - You cannot reorder songs in a playlists you created. - There’s not shuffle option when listing to songs anywhere, songs play in the order they are in, and you always have to choose the piece you want to listen to. - You cannot choose songs to play next or put them in queue. - There’s no option to choose ‘next similar song by different player’ just like in the website. This is an excellent option that is missing from this app. - Text is a bit small and hard to read, especially of performers’ names. Can be eye straining sometimes. - Music stops playing after you receive a phone call. - There are internet connection problems, especially when streaming on cellular network. Suggestions for Review: - Please add a Dark Mode option. The menus can be too bright, especially when browsing at night. - Can you please add the option to have the album’s artwork appear in the music player, instead of the composer’s picture. This is very helpful when choosing between music pieces by looking at the picture than just reading the recordings names. - Can you please add Force Touch support for supported devices. Thank you..Version: 1.21.8

Great collection - software needs some workThe collection is great and the interface is fantastic designed to find classic music! What I find quite find poor is no gapless playback between tracks. This is so essential for classical music. Buying recently an NAS Synology Server, the cheapest, I could easily set up gapless playing using their apps provided for free. And I enjoy gapless listening of my music collection on the go streaming from my server at home. It can’t be so difficult. On the other hand I notice the IDAGIO app does often forget the position in the track when you interrupt playback even for a short while. In summary, while some aspects are good, there is a clear lack in some essential feature..Version: 1.24.3

Was great until it stopped workingNo longer plays from Apple Watch. It launches, lets me choose the genre but just won’t play..Version: 1.26.1

IDAGIO app doesn’t work on iPad or iPhoneThis app doesn’t work properly. If you start listening to a piece at track 1, it will then play alternate tracks 3, 5, 7 etc. If you select track 2, it then gives you tracks 4, 6, 8 etc. IDAGIO don’t deny this error, but refuse to prioritise solving it. Nice app otherwise, but this makes it unusable. IDAGIO got back to say that this is what happens with a free subscription, but I was in fact paying for the so-called Premium service. So I can’t change my conclusion above..Version: 1.32.0

Great music library, horrible user interfaceHalf the functions (queue track, shuffle etc.) don’t even work. The app just shuts it self and freezes all the time. Created playlists gets put in jumbled orders for no reason. Only using it now because there are no alternatives. Can’t wait till Apple comes out with their classical music so there’s an actual decent app with a tolerable user interface. Two stars because of good search categorisation..Version: 1.46.0

Version: 1.30.0

Disappointing sound qualityI got so excited after reading the reviews about Idagio. Unfortunately the sound quality is just not up to it and even choosing the highest level of quality there was still audible noise. Any radio streaming results in better quality. If this was a free service I wouldn’t mind but not paying what they ask unless this can be resolved I’m afraid..Version: 1.20.2

Extremely disappointedBad, bad, bad idagio - poor customer experience. DO NOT Make me enter payment detail to access the so called free trial period - this is not free!!!.Version: 1.21.6

Could be excellentThis app is PERFECT for classical lovers but the only problem is that you must pay after the free subscription is over, which is the only downside. The problem with this is that I could easily find all of these songs on Spotify, for example, in which Spotify allows me to listen to music for free and it’s far more convenient. I love this app and it has a lot of potential but at this time, I’m going to find another music app instead that allows me to have the free listening (I don’t care about the ads, tbh). But if money is not a problem for you, then give this app a shot!.Version: 1.26.1

Frequent stops and many “non-starters”The idea of classical focus streaming is good and I like the way I can search recordings by composers, soloists, ensembles and many criterion that none of the other popular streaming services can match. The lossless streaming is also nice. However, the connection issues are very annoying. Usually, after a couple skips to find the right music for the moment, the app will be stuck at time zero, with the loading/connecting icon spinning forever. Once this happens, you will not be able to play any other work as they will also be “non-starters”. Only killing (swipe up in iOS) and restarting the app could fix this. Also, the music might suddenly stop in the middle of a piece for no apparent reason sometimes. Also, as someone already mentioned, there is no easy way you can see the album cover when you are playing the music. The only time the app shows the album cover is when you actually play the “album” instead of a piece you located through search. I am not sure about future generations but most of us today still identify certain recordings by the album covers. There is no point showing the same Beethoven’s portrait when I go through his piano sonatas from various performers..Version: 1.23.6

Interface hard. Not intuitive at all. Pick tunes by color just dumb. No “Home” icon. No “Contact” that is easy to find. Apparently made for folks who already know classical music. Not for anyone wishing to learn more. I give up. Too hard. UPDATE. After posting, got suggestions from Idagio on how to better use interface and learn more. Appreciate the guidance as the entire reason I subscribed was to become more knowledgable in an area in which I am admittedly ignorant. Could still use a “Contact” link so users could ask questions. And a “Home” link. I only received the guidance because I wrote negative review. Also, not all music at same volume. Will have to turn some up to max to hear, then turn down next piece as it is blasting..Version: 1.48.7

Cancelled the sub months ago, so why the funny business?Cancelled before the free trial expired - 6 months ago. Yet today I suddenly received a notification from Idagio, and when I clicked to read the notification a track started playing. Why? I should have remembered to delete the app after cancelling, no doubt. Nevertheless, re-activating it without my consent is not on, as far as I'm concerned..Version: 1.46.1

UnsubscribeBeware, very difficult to Cancel!.Version: 1.21.3

AirPlay Volume Control and PDF RotationDisappointed that when I adjust the volume on my iPhone that it fails to simultaneously adjust the volume of my Sonos speakers when playing music via Airplay. This is the opposite behaviour when using the Apple Music app. Please update asap. When reading the enclosed CD booklet the app only allows you to rotate the orientation by 90 degrees. Please offer both 180 degrees and 270 degrees since some users prefer to use their devices in a different orientation such as myself who has a disability. Thank you..Version: 1.48.2

UntrustOffer free 14 day-trial. First day: Listen 30s and then quit. Next day come back it requires payment to proceed. You liar!.Version: 1.21.0

I can’t openI use Apple Watch 5 but when I decided to listen to music the application is close every timee I didn’t reach to music.Version: 1.25.1

Only provides excerptsIf you life snippets, then okay, but this does not play entire works. Very disturbing to listen to..Version: 1.48.2

Don’t try the free trial. If you try the free trial by giving them your credit card, it is impossible to cancel the subscription and your credit card will be billed. The cancellation process goes in an endless loop and you will not be cancelled!.Version: 1.43.1

Outstanding collection of music, but ….The software functionality is poor. - If you leave the app running on the iPhone while you sleep and wake up the iPhone in the morning, Adagio restarts automatically and forgets what you were listening to and where you’d got to - so if you’re watching a collection you have to start from the beginning and listen all the way through. Challenging when it’s a few hours of music. - If you close the app in the middle of a concerto and come back later, there is no “continue listening list” In fact, that happens even if you don’t close the app - etc..Version: 1.48.2

MisinformedI downloaded this app because the ad offered classical music without needing to subscribe. Yay! After I downloaded the app, I discovered there is a streaming station of classical music that is ongoing and totally out of the user’s control. Anything else in the app requires a paid subscription. I might as well listen to the radio. Deleted the app..Version: 1.26.2

Needs refinementThere’s no app I use more in a day than this one. But because I’ve used it so much, I’ve noticed a lot of issues. The app is very unreliable. It would work, but then the next time the app crashes, more so when on Apple CarPlay. There was a time where I was in the middle of nowhere with no reception and the app wouldn’t let me access my downloaded tracks. Made for a long and boring road trip. Customer support has been extremely quick to reply and very helpful, however, I would appreciate if they could fix these inconsistencies. I’m running the app on an iPhone 12 Pro Max.Version: 1.41.0

ShuffleGood app but really needs a shuffle feature for playlists etc.Version: 1.25.1

It’s not FREENot free.Version: 1.26.4

I like the service, but the apps fall shortThe iOS app is missing some important features, such as the ability to create a play queue on the fly by swiping for “play next” or “play last.” I’d also like to see track timings without having to actually play the track. I share the common complaint about the way this app handles - or doesn’t! - album art. The interface is a frustrating mix of tiny type and white space. The Mac app is a huge mess in that respect! It’s also hard to see which track on an album is playing because there’s a barely visible thin black bar on the very left edge of the screen that (for me) tends to disappear into the bezel on my black iPhone. I think the search on Idagio is more powerful than Primephonic’s. I really like being able to filter search results by performer, conductor, etc. But for now, the UI shortcomings will have me sticking with Primephonic..Version: 1.28.1

Not worth the (now significant) extraI have tried a direct comparison between IDAGIO Premium+ and Apple Music across a range of classical music with Bose and Sony headphones and Sonos speakers and the difference in quality is negligible. Hardly worth the extra price. As a trained classical musician there is far too much intellectual snobbery here and unless you listened to classical music 24/7 not much added value. The software interface is also weak. At least CarPlay works ok. The recent massive increase in price of the Premium+ service merely accentuates the downside..Version: 1.36.0

Great music, terrible featuresThe music itself, the database, the search filters and the sound quality are great and just what I wanted. Unfortunately the playlists and features, or lack thereof, is awful. In this day and age to not be able order items on a playlist, reorganise playlists, add whole albums to playlists etc is simply poor. Who knows the exact reverse order of tracks they want on a playlist before they start creating it, really? Update: apparently you can now order single tracks within a playlist, but you still can't change the order of the playlists themselves or change the order of any other collections I.e. recordings, albums, tracks. It's basic stuff..Version: 1.34.2

Glitch - my entire playlist was deletedNow there is 0 song in that playlist - gone!.Version: 1.48.7

How is this different from Apple Music?Hi - a question - How is this different from Apple Music?.Version: 1.23.3

Sonos creaksGreat but. I understand the lack of search on Sonos , because the search on the Idagio app is better , taking in work and performer for example. But WHY does Sonos not show the RECORDING ART WORK while It is playing ? You have the art work , it shows up, then disappears as the work plays. I do not want generic portraits of the composer. I want to see the album. And no I do not want to play my music solely by airplay which sidesteps the great aspects of the Sonos system. Either you are a Sonos service or you are not..Version: 1.38.0

DisappointedIntegration with the app and Sonos is not good enough searching in the app is not seamless with my favourites so I need to search twice when out and then again when I return home. Bluetooth at home with Sonos does not seem to have the same quality. At the end of the trial I will decide to return to my current HQ quality classical music provider..Version: 1.25.0
