I AM BLOWN AWAY WITH FACTOR!!I must first preface this review by saying I am a very picky with any sort of food let alone “pre-made” meals, but I have to say the meals that you get when you order factor are absolutely delicious! I mean they have blown me away, I didn’t think it was possible to get pre-made meals delivered to my house that were this good! My fiancé ordered the first box and I kind of turned my nose up at the idea of pre-made meals because on my head I was thinking it was going to be glorified TV dinners from when I was a kid. Oh how I was mistaken!!! From the first meal we heated up we’ve been hooked! I look forward to picking our next 10 meals to be delivered because the food is always fresh and prepared to perfection! The sauces and spices used to prepare these meals are obviously made with quality ingredients! I cannot say enough good things about FACTOR! ✓ Great food, easy to use, non-cancelableI’ve gotten 4 factor boxes, and it has all been very delicious!! There’s lots of variety, and it is as fresh as they promise. I’ve also frozen meals and those have reheated just as well. The app is very simple to use. You cannot cancel a box after it’s been ordered (it will auto order on a specific day depending on your delivery schedule), so you do need to be on top of that. It’s easy to skip a week in the app, but you have to remember to do it. I’m not the kind of person to want to order this ever week, so I wish there was an option to turn off the auto-ordering and just order it when you want. I’m finding that a lot of the weekly choices contain chicken and there’s a few too many pork options so I’m finding a lot of hits and a few misses. I’m ok with the size since I’m trying to lose weight but my husband feels he’s not getting enough food. The taste is nicely seasoned - no need to salt or pepper. Also this is a great way to stay in a calorie deficit. ✓ Saved the DayMy husband broke his leg. As our main family chef life looked grim until I found Factor. The meals are wonderful with large portions. My husband is much better, but we are going to keep using this service. Love how you can change the number of meals per week since we have a college student who visits during the holidays and between semesters. We find Factor to be a cheaper option than eating out or using DoorDash, plus you receive “real” food. The only suggestion I have is to add more meals to choose from or to allow participants to select from all meal choices each week. The meals are heavy on the side of chicken, but even before using this program we ate a great deal of chicken so this isn’t a great concern for us. ✓ Pleasantly surprisedI’ve tried most of the food delivery companies. The Blue Apron type ones didn’t work because it cost the same as takeout, and I still had to cook and clean! Plus it wasn’t single person friendly. Freshly was ok. It was better tasting than frozen tv dinner, but it still wouldn’t pass as restaurant food. The selection got stale quick and with only one or two new ones coming once in a blue moon. I put off Factor for so long and glad I tried it after receiving a good coupon in the mail. Every single meal was amazing and compared to a fine dinning or specialty Cheif meal tastebud experience. ✓ Healthy, easy, and it tastes really goodI started a Factor subscription because I wasn’t eating very well, I was eating a lot of fast food and just restaurants in general most days and not always getting enough food. I switched to Factor, and so far the only problem I have with it is that they seem to be primarily focused on losing weight, so it’s not a ton of food. I still find it filling but I do find myself getting hungry sooner than usual with regular meals. Additionally, they don’t really season the food very much but it still tastes very good after I season it myself. Overall, the food looks disappointing in the container, looks great when it’s done and tastes even better. I wasn’t planning on losing weight and was actually disappointed in the meals due to how they looked and the cost. Then I tried one and was astonished how good it was. ✓ Factor is the BEST! Especially for KETO!I have tried several other meal services. I found the cheapest meal prep kit times to be a lie. I have worked as a line cook. Worse yet, sometimes excluded an ingredient. (Not often.) But potatoes and carrots are so cheap that it explains why the cost is so low. I tried Cook Unity as a heat and eat meal and their flavors just fell disappointingly flat. Their portions were a tad bit larger but who wants to pay for lack luster meals?! Some people may think the carb count of Factor meals aren’t as low carb as they would like. Honestly, I was one of those. BUT, I would rather have one absolutely delicious gourmet meal a day and eat bone broth, salads and all the no carb things we’re supposed to do to make this work with my macros. It’s worth it! It did arrive in a hard, well packed box, extremely cold, food placed between two large blocks of gel ice. After seeing local stores in a frenzy of throwing food away after a night without power in freezing temperatures we decided to try the food we finally received instead of just dumping it. ✓ Best Ever Meal Service for Busy FamiliesWe have tried other meal service kits…Hello Fresh and Blue Apron and as busy working mom I was frustrated by the work I had to do to unpack, wash, chop, dice, slice, separate, season, and cook meals. It was taking nearly to an hour to cook dinner for me, my husband and daughter and another hour to clean up all the bowls and pans and plates. Well I had had ENOUGH when a friend mentioned she hired a personal chef to prep weekly meals for her family. I saw Factor’s ads on social media and they looked good so I gave them a try. It saves me a lot of time and the food is really good(I’d give food five stars, but I’ve had a few hiccups for how much money I’m spending). Only heads up or suggestion I have is careful when you select your meals because more than just your preference shows up on the list. For example I put my preference as “keto” and I assumed I would have all those options on my meal list. I did see all the keto options plus all the others, so when I made my first selection for meals for the week half of them I couldn’t eat because I noticed they were very high in carbs. I went to write an email about this problem, but there was no email listed for me to contact them. The only other thing I’d say, is the meals are very good but most are fairly high in salt, I know this probably helps them keep and with the flavor, but slightly lower salt would be preferred for myself personally. ✓ October 13, 2022My first box from factor arrived two days ago and I eat my first meal last night. All I can say is wow.! I had this surgery “ Lipectomy Abdomen Infra umbilical panniculectomy ‘, and I bought a blender and my husband bought a few vegetables and I eat some of his meals and I knew that I was barely eating and when I did eat if you got a pizza or whatever and I thought I got to gold. Metal. No.. in order recover from the surgery you have to eat, healing foods. And I know I was barely eating where I was in the wrong things most of the time.. so I found factor with the most AMAZING ingredients that would heal my body. All I can say is wow. Again.. and congratulations factor you are going to rule this industry with this food. And you’re awesome customer service and your great. And to all of you out there, I highly recommend this. Even if you’re on a diet and you need lower calories if that’s your need.. the only thing I’m gonna do is I’m gonna call the company and ask if I can order asparagus. ✓ Picky Husband Loving Factor MealsMy husband has never been the type of person who lives to eat. He eats almost nothing all day while at work and has very few dinner meals that are his favorites. Ever since we started ordering Factor meals, he has started eating a much wider variety of food. There has not been any meal he didn’t like and because the dish is on the smaller size, they are perfect for him. He eats every part of the meal, even whatever is on the side despite not usually liking that side. The variety each week is perfect for us and it ends up being worth the cost since there is virtually no waste. I originally ordered our first factor box just to try them out but now we are on our sixth or seventh box and will continue to order indefinitely. ✓ Good-but pricing scale needs adjustment!A lot of coworkers & I use Factor. I like its convenience as both someone who works full time & is in school & cares for their health, as I don’t have a lot of time to meal prep and if I don’t, I won’t eat. I also like the options to switch it up so you don’t get the same thing every week, though I feel the choices in the vegan/vegetarian category can & should be expanded. My only real complaint would be the cost breakdown. I understand the (sort of high) pricing of 62 & change for 4 meals a week, when you take into account fresh ingredients, paying the employees, etc. But then on top of that to charge $11 for shipping….brings my grand total to about $18/meal for only 4 meals. This just isn’t affordable to someone in my position.
