Stash: Investing made easy Pros

Love StashI joined Stash in 2016. They have made so many improvements over the last few years. In my opinion, this is a great app & bank for younger people to learn and get started investing. Using the Stash tools will teach not only the younger generation but anyone the basics and more of the stock markets and investing. The round up program is a great tool. The one I use is the stock purchase plan when using their debit. I also love the fractional purchase option. Set up a regular deposit weekly or monthly and purchase your favorite company without thinking about it. Before you know it your at 10 shares then 25 & up. Check in on your portfolio anytime. I gave Stash 4 stars just for the reason of there is some companies you can’t buy at this time but that seems to be penny stocks. Also Stash doesn’t have some abilities for the market like options, buying margins but I don’t think you need that on this platform as it’s more for newer investors. Also their transfers of money to your regular bank shouldn’t take 3-5 days as well as the sale of stocks the proceeds shouldn’t take as long as they do. It should be instant. But that is me being picky. I highly recommend Stash!.Dak442Version: 3.0.4

Great learning tool for new investorsWhen I first started I had little to no success in the market. Basically, I knew nothing. But after reading about how STASH helps us retailers and using their education blogs I was able to start actually earning and grow my savings. So I am putting a regularly scheduled amounts into both a retirement plan and personal account along with any disposable income I have. Their is a “smart account that STASH manages it. Mine earns well enough but I’m optimistically cautious about that account. I rarely withdrawal any cash as it’s a savings account. I have learned so much from them that now I can look to more aggressive investments within the app for faster growth, high risk investments. I have even learned about crypto currency and trading in that world too. I haven’t seen STASH get involved with cryptocurrency but as a result of my education from the STASH I have been using their strategies in the crypto market with some success. I have enjoyed the last 2 years with this app and it’s my go to for most of my questions. I feel I still have much to learn and this app helps. I have recommended this app to many people and they have enjoyed it as well. Anyway that’s my two cents. Good job stash team!.DrStonesVersion: 3.0.34

Stash: Investing made easy Cons

Horrible Customer ServiceThis app was great AT FIRST! Everything seemed fine, I invested in some stocks and had about $25 in my portfolio. Then I decided (since I felt a little more comfortable) to transfer $25 to my portfolio and reached $50 in my portfolio. I used my $25 to invest in some more stocks but the next day, all my investments were gone and my portfolio was back down to $25 and I actually lost money because all of my returns from the investments were gone. I called Stash and they said that the transfer was cancelled. I attempted to redo this like three times but every time “my bank” supposedly cancels the transfer. I don’t understand why this is happening and customer support didn’t help me at all. They just kept telling me that the stocks “were not mine” to begin with. So if they’re not mine, fine. I don’t want them to be anymore anyway. This app is a joke, I read reviews and more people are having issues like me. Someone suggested Robinhood so I’m going to try them now. Bye, Stash, I’m out! ✌️ By the way, I forgot to mention. Even after closing my account and selling all my investments, Stash still managed to charge my bank account $6 for I don’t even know what. But that’s funny how they can charge me for their BS but when I want to transfer money to invest, it always get “cancelled”. Seems a bit weird, right? This company is a scam. Seemed like a great idea but it’s poorly executed. Hopefully other companies are doing it the right way..Lifted CEOVersion: 2.9.0

Stupid MeA friend referred me to Stash and I signed up thinking that it was a good way to invest. I set up auto Stash and they were taking $5 a week out of my account. I’ve been a customer for about six months and would periodically check my account balance to monitor growth. I checked today to see what was going on and realize how low my balance seemed in relation to the amount that was coming out of my account. What also caught my attention was that my account said that I had $113 in cash and I thought that was strange since the money was being invested. Stupid me I didn’t realize they were charging me a monthly fee and not actually investing my money. They only amount invested was $25. The CSR I spoke to said that since my money was not invested, I had opened three investment accounts and only one was being used, the fee was $9 a month. I was hopping mad. If Stash could select the investments for the first account why couldn’t they do the same for the other two. I told her that I did not know anything about investing and was under the delusion that Stash was auto investing for me. They put the rest of my money into an account and were holding it like a savings account. My monthly “investment” was for $20 and Stash has been paying themselves a fee of $9. Needless to say I requested that the account be closed and my money returned to me. I wouldn’t refer anyone to them..Shellyf51Version: 2.9.53
