✓ Not free-play friendlyWas fun around stage 1 and 2 but difficulty suddenly sky rockets. The units don’t get explained well enough at the purchase screen so once you buy something and it doesn’t suit your play style, you’re strapped for cash unless you pay money. Even then, you don’t know exactly how strong the unit it when you are paying actual money. It’s all very “loot box” orientated and I find myself not even doing any stages at the moment and just watching the ads and waiting for the daily boxes to open for free for selling power ups for money which is not exactly enjoyable. Recommended for people who are willing to spend real money or have to be super patient..Version: 2.3.1
✓ Alright gameQuite a fun game, the only thing I can think of worth putting it in a review is how the game becomes try hard after a certain point, levels become too hard and there is nothing you can do about it apart from putting your own money into the game so you can buy new characters, upgrades and stuff I got admit it was fun at first but it become really frustrating after a certain point to just try hard the same level for 10 times because you can’t get pass it. Apart from that the game is still good I think it d be better with like different kind of game modes but still I d say give it a try.Version: 3.8.7
✓ Absolute garbageRe write cause you developers are clearly incapable of thought. Why do you even have a unit count. It doesn’t matter what number you attain you can’t pick anyone. 100 full points and no units pop up. Then your units are so stupid they just stand there. ✓ Absurd pricesThe game itself is really fun, I quite like it and think the way the troops and zombies are balanced is perfect, however the price for items and ingame money is absurd, it costs 20 GBP for 625 green cash, micro transactions keep the game alive I know but these prices are absolutely absurd, and it’s the same for buying units with the normal game currency you can earn, they are so absurdly overpriced that you would have to grind and save for a long time to even get one new unit, leaving little other option than to buy the currency with green cash. I love the game, I think it’s charming and I wouldn’t mind spending money on it, but the prices for things in this game are far from reasonable, I would say they would have to be at least cut in half before I start to buy anything.Version: 3.8.2
✓ Fair but i have a problemI like and enjoy the game. But i have a problem. The games shows that something is wrong and displays red text across the screen. This stops me from playing what I believe is an online mode but as far as i am aware I cant play it. Looking at it yes it says you have to make a game center account. But due to some complications with my old Game Center account being hacked or taken by someone i cant make a Game Center account. I have one but its not working and its been a full year of constant trying and troubleshooting. But that’s enough of talking about that, the problem is not being able to access a big part of this amazing game. I love it but the timer on the fuel is a bit harsh and not at all fun especially the limit of fuel you get is 20 you can only play the game for 5-6 minutes then you have to wait 1 hour till your full on fuel. If you could please add an option to either upgrade the fuel or remove the timer and give us some way to earn fuel through missions (side missions) rather then buy it, would be nice. Otherwise the game is good bit difficult to gather supplies to get 3 stars on stuff and its making me want to delete the game because the fuel situation, i do want to keep playing so i can have something to look forward. I give this game a fair 3 stars, i will write a better review when this game has gotten the updates that will improve the experience of this overall great game. ✓ A few annoyancesThis game is really fun to play. I’ve downloaded it and I’ve gotten to stage 3 so I believe I have enough play time to form an opinion. This game is great, but there are times we’re I seriously debate getting rid of it. It is really annoying trying to get a good push going for it to only be destroyed within seconds because a random horde came with no indication. Often it’s at the very beginning of the fight which is an almost instant loss if you don’t have strong troop out capable of taking out 4-5 running zombies which is also virtually impossible to do because it takes ages for your “courage” to rise unless you get lucky from one of your troops getting hit and dropping more. I would enjoy this game so much more if I had the ability to actually stand a chance in a fight rather than instantly losing without even being able to send out more than 2-3 troops..Version: 3.6.3
✓ It’s okay, I guessThis game is a really fun and cool game, and you can try and kill zombies to advance to other levels, and get higher up in the stages. I am at stage 7 with a lot of strong troops, and I always battle to get more money and cool stuff. There is one thing I don’t like about this game though, and it’s got to do with the red barrel. Whenever I used to put the red barrel down and click it, it would explode and there would be fire on the ground, killing zombies that are not fire proof. The stupid thing for me is, mine doesn’t make an explosion. When I tap on a red barrel, it will just say ‘bang!’ And kill 1 or to zombies, which is not what I expected, because it made me lose a lot of times now because the red barrel WAS very important, but now it is some stupid thing that ruined the game for me..Version: 1.7.1
✓ Another good game ruined by in-app purchaseUntil chapter 4, it is somehow playable without spending any money. However, after that you basically need to purchase. You cannot gain gold if you are not winning a match, so you cannot upgrade any units. Even though you somehow upgraded your units, now you need to upgrade the bus to upgrade them even further. My level 5 units deals 20 melee damage and 12 gun damage, and enemies are multiple 720 hp fat zombies, plus their base takes years to destroy. At the same time, 10th of my bus hp is gone if i take one hit, and that is automatically 2 out of 3 stars even though I manage to win. I understand that the developers wants money, but this is way too much. At least make them playable… what a shame..Version: 3.6.9
✓ Alright but frustrating asfTips n guides are helpful but if you don’t get a good start the rest of the game can be a boring grind just saving money for class 3 items. Killed my starting game and now am paying for it in later game. Also to purchase one guy is so expensive at least throw some crates n fuel + more money in for purchase cuz I’ve wasted 8$ so far an didn’t feel rewarded enough to even consider buying another! Plus buying gold isn’t worth the money. ✓ Last update made it too hardWas loving the game for about a month to the point where I even spent money on the game but the last update has made the game about 10 times harder and it feels like a pay to win game unless you grind out supply missions endlessly. ✓ Desperately needs AI balancingI like this game. So much that I want to complete the game to its fullest extent by 3 starring every level. This is basically impossible. Because of a skill gap? No. Because the zombie AI is ridiculously random. Dogs for example, either die easily by actually attacking your summoned units or they just attack your base instantly resulting in an immediate 2 star. It has nothing to do with the timing of summons, I’ve played the dog and runner levels enough to figure out that the AI decision making is completely random. Which poses a huge problem when a dog spawns within the first couple of seconds and decides to ignore my defending units. There is no way my defending units can intercept fast units as they move side to side at a crawl. I give up. I’m not going to sink an hour of my life playing the game for 10 seconds at a time only to have to restart the level again by watching 30 seconds of ads. In fact this has made me fed up with a game I found pretty enjoyable. But until zombie AI becomes more consistent or unit movement is able to make up for a lack of AI, I feel very uncompelled to return to the game..Version: 2.6.2

✓ Fun game but major grindThis game is fun and I’m a huge zombie fan. The concept for the game is great and I love working to get a new character, but it’s extremely difficult without paying real money to get in game currency. I don’t mind going back and grinding older levels I have played, it’s fun I think. The levels do get pretty difficult quick which is fine but to upgrade your character as well as your bus for the amount of coins you get with the levels that you CAN beat. Can being the key word, makes it just a strenuous grind with not much reward. As I said love the grind that’s the point of the game but the characters become weaker with each level because the monsters are very OP in hordes. So again level the characters and bus to upgrade the characters further, but not enough coins given. I would suggest other goals or achievements to get coins other than just trying to accomplish to get as many stars as you can because after stage three it gets hard to get three stars on most levels (if it can even be beaten). I’d suggest reducing some zombies hp or just simply adding more levels to give the players chances to level some characters and the bus. The game is great and I love it but not perfect. If there were chances to receive more coins by grinding or any other manner I’d definitely give the game 4 to even 5 stars..Version: 2.6.2

✓ AnnoyingI’ll be honest it’s a fun game up to a certain point I would probably say stage 3 or area 3 only because you don’t really need heavily beefy guys to get the job done. But after that the difference in the stages is huge my guys take 2-3 hits before they die as before I would only need to take about about 6 hits. But there is an up side I guess you could call it if you don’t want to spend really money on op characters is to not play the game for a few weeks but come back every 6-8 hours and collect your time quest to get items to buff up your guys’ll even having a chance at surviving. As you can tell this is annoying not to mention if you want to level up your profile to be able to level you characters up you need exp which you get a decent amount. around 50 and up respectively when you clear a stage but once you complete the stage and do the same one again you only get 1-3 exp which is a huge problem because you only have so much gas/energy to do them the coins you earn is the same way..Version: 3.1.2
✓ Needs a rework, kinda.Most main campaign matches rely on RNG, you could get a multitude of scenarios based on the position of the zombies and whatever your troops decide to do. Other game modes can be easily exploited using the Grenadier, especially in Skirmishes, in which it becomes a matter of “oh my grenadier missed that guy, I’ll just simplay place him in a different spot and ban, problem solved”. The art style is one of the things that keeps me coming back to it, I only wish that the devs gave us more information regarding all of the characters, maybe add more to the story, something like that..Version: 4.0.1

✓ Sad pay-to-win / play.The game locks you into a slow crawl of progress or even downright forcing you to be stuck unless you throw money at it and even then you wont keep up to the players that do especially in pvp. the “coin chest” you can open slowly goes up in cash. the games difficulty levels seem to have no real affect on the actual difficulty of the game. i really wanted to like this game, but after playing it everyday for 2 weeks 3-4 each session the game has made progress almost impossible. i generally do not leave app reviews, but i am because its a game i really wanted to like, and when the app store and moba market is all about pay-to-win and cash cows, i was hoping this was different it’s sad i was wrong. do yourself a favour check out Kairosoft games..Version: 3.7.3
✓ Fun but not funOverall this game is amazing, it’s fun to play and the story is interesting, the only problem is the money making, in order to unlock new characters you need to make tons of money but when you play old levels you get almost nothing, and you cant make money from events because you need the characters you want to buy in order to do them, I understand it’s suppose to be about grinding but it just gets boring really quick one I get to the last few locations.Version: 3.5.0
✓ Needs some improvementNot to bad of a game. Needs some improvement on the “Hero” AI and level difficulty. Easy don’t always mean easy since you can fail every easy level, nightmare can be easier than easy levels. When you summon the hero’s they can and will ignore zombies that’s already attacking your bus, and sometimes enemies will already destroy your bus before you get a hero out. A rework of the enemy and hero pathing needs a rework, but it’s a mobile game so things like that won’t get fix since their main focus is on the store and not game play. Many of the events can’t be completed unless you have maxed out characters and the bus maxed out so you’re must ignore those until you are maxed out and even when you’re maxed out they still can’t be completed due to the impossiblely hard difficulty that’s in the event. The developers won’t respond to any complaints you have via Reddit or email. Okay game needs vast improvements though. The developers wo t respond to any complaints.Version: 3.8.4
✓ Too luck based and grindyMost of the coin income comes from watching adds. Finishing levels literally gives you no coins and new characters cost a lot of coins so its quite grindy. Also the game is luck based. It really depends who’s character gets into the attack animation first. For example in pvp my “builder” character goes up against a lower level “builder” and you would think i would win cuz my character is stronger yeah well the game is autistic and makes my character just stand there and the enemy’s character starts to melee my character to death while he's just standing still doing nothing..Version: 2.2.0
✓ Needs some changesIt’s a very fun game when I’m able to play. You get an amount of gasoline that allows you to play each mission. When you are out of gasoline you can watch videos to get more but eventually it stops you from doing that. So you can only get so much gasoline without spending $3.00 to get more. Next when you beat a mission you get coins. These coins are in game currency that allow you to access the market and buy things to upgrade units. Each mission gives you a solid amount when you beat it for the first time. You also get the option to watch a video to gain extra when you 3 star it which is fine. What’s annoying is when I get to missions that ramped up in difficulty very quickly and my units aren’t Aton enough but I can’t just play older missions cause they don’t give the same amount they used to once you beat it. So I have no coins and all I can do is play old missions for scraps and maybe get enough to level up every other day or waste all my gasoline losing the battles in the harder area. ✓ Dead ahead is a developer dead game...I made a review before but it seemed to have been deleted instantly. Before you download this game, expect to not see any updates or new content. The game quickly becomes bland and boring as no new abilities or balancing is being added. It’s been years now and there hasn’t been a unit update. ✓ A great game ruined by Privacy IssuesSo the game is a fun spin off on the tired oversaturated category of zombie games. In essence it a tower attack/defence game but with amazing intuitive art style. But it’s all let down by the MANDATORY privacy consent form you MUST AGREE TOO in order to play and removing your ‘consent’ Denys your ability to play this game (even if you’ve sunk money into like I have) until you once again agree consent. Also finally to add insult to injury. Video advertisements will always play of full blast despite otherwise having your phone/tablet muted, thus leading to awkward encounter when playing in a public place! ✓ It’s fun but resist micro-transactionsTop gameplay, animations, fun strategy game in short bursts because of its hindered fuel resource system; but its brilliance is limited by its suggested paid progression. Just take your time and play at a steady pace - if you blow a lot of cash early on you’ll soon find out you’ve wasted your cash. Just take your time and enjoy the journey, just like the Walking Dead. ✓ A heads up for everyone: THIS IS A PAY TO WIN GAME! ! !IF YOU HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH PAY TO WIN THEN YOU DON’T EVEN NEED TO READ ANY OF THESE, JUST PAY. At first few level you can still get resources through watching ads, but once you reached level 8 everything started to get harder and harder, and every level in this game is getting crazier, it’s going to make you think maybe it’s something you did wrong, but it’s not! And finally you will find out there’s no more missions you can even survive over 60 seconds don’t even mention passing it you will realize that you have to pay to get better units and more resources to move on, couple hundreds of coins you get through watching whole bunch of ads won’t help at all because you can’t even pass any missions anymore, and everything in this game is more and more insane! Now there’s two way in front of you, either you start paying real money for better game experience or you delete this thing. ✓ Improvements on currency and gasolineThis game is great, it plays well, the cutscenes add a lot of storytelling, and the art style is really intresting but my biggest gripe about this is how you earn coins and getting fuel. You need coins for tons of stuff in this game and there not a whole lot to get if you don’t wanna repeat the same level over and over again, and even when you do you only get 4-10 coins when getting new units can cost thousands of coins and upgrading the units only one level can take hundreds. Even the events and pvp aspects require lots of grinding and patience to get decent money out of it. Also the gasoline. You can only play 10 levels with a FULL gas meter so I think that you should earn some gas when you beat level to even it out or use less when you want to retry a level or better yet make the maximum amount of gas you can carry larger like 50 or 60. I understand it’s a free game and money needs to be made but these aspects make the game downright boring and angering to play. I really hope these could be improved upon in the future.Version: 3.6.3
✓ What a shameGood concept but far from amazing. Energy regen to use more units is painfully slow, stacked with the regen time 30 seconds plus to use your “better” units? How does that work? just forget it. Some Zombies are stupidly fast moving and OP, (appear to be faster than what your bus can travel) and the humans can’t move quick at all! It’s very annoying when you’re trying to 3 star a stage and the Zombies seem to ignore your front line of units and head straight for the bus, conveniently when your energy is spent! If you want to succeed you have to turn to the Micro transactions which ironically aren’t micro at all, way too expensive for a mobile game. ✓ UnbalancedObviously pay to win. I know devs need money as well, but come on. Some missions are impossible to finish even on normal difficulty because the units cost too much and do little damage, they are extremely easy to kill, the basic units are crap and take too long to build when you have a large group incoming. The “courage” generating is trash, and does not accumulate faster if you have more units out. The bus is incredibly easy to destroy and the "zombie wave" is crazy overpowered leading to nothing but frustration when that machinegun guy lasts for literally 2 seconds. Shameful.Version: 1.9.2

✓ Game reviewGame is good, nice animations and idea, however you’ll soon find a wall you’ll hit, after playing for so many hours. You can do anything because your troops aren’t strong enough to continue and you’ll have to grind over and over and over again or pay real money. But the biggest frustration is the fact that you can make a unit and if two zombies come the unit will let one pass. This is extremely frustrating especially when aiming for 3 star on the missions, trying over and over again but as soon as 1 zombie gets a hit on your bus, say goodbye to 3 star which you need. When 3-4 zombie dogs spawn and you only have enough money for 1-2 troops you can see where the game mechanics fail to deliver a viable defence system considering they allow the zombies to pass. Overall nice game and a new fresh idea, but the repeatable ad watching and horrible AI in the units make it a cringe to play at times..Version: 2.6.2

✓ New item system ruined later levelsSo two years ago, I got this game. Back then there has not been updates for two years, levels were fair and somehow grindy, but I still managed to beat all but last level in three stars with no purchase in a fair time. I have no idea when the major item overhaul was made, but now position 7 and 8 are totally ruined. You see zombie-pedia in game but they no longer mean anything, since zombies now also come with levels, and in later levels zombies generally have double or triple the stats as stated in pedia. While I fully understand new item system makes the game much more deep, later levels fail to retain in good difficulty. You have no chance with position 8 unless your deck is good to a point that you destroy previous ones easily; I grinded a level tagged “normal” in position 7 but in fact, giant blues almost beat me, it was because late game wave was too easy to defend (the witches) compared to blues, and by that point no more blues come, that I beat that level after late game. And this is considered a “normal” level. This is already an insult to old players and frankly, nobody will pay if levels come in such an unfair stat. If the devs are reading this: rebalance your position 7 and 8 levels, make more events separately that provides challenges, we appreciate this game of quality, but we refuse taking insulting unfair difficulty. ✓ Good game but pay to win/ make progressIt’s a good and fun game. But the flaws are the paying part. Which is support by the low income or coins and especially cash. Pay to win characters. Pay to make progress. This game requires time and patience. And progress will slow down and the gameplay when you hit a certain point. As things get more expensive to upgrade. ✓ Ads keep freezing game.Spoilt by ads that don't close after watching them. I can't even click on the ad itself to go to the ap store page for that advertised game. I have to close down the app completely to get off of the ad screen and when I start back up none of the bonuses have been applied. Please fix this.
