Dexcom Clarity for Negative User Reviews

Sensor life.I am currently going to replace my forth sensor failure short of it’s ten-day life. Although the DEXCOM tech people have been absolutely great with replacing them, this still a somewhat disturbing event. It is now March 29 (my current sensor was due to expire on March 31 at around noon); I started using the DEXCOM system on February 2 and in this short time experienced four sensor failures, it seems a bit much. If I’m doing something wrong, I can’t imagine what that can be, it’s not rocket science...you stick the sensor applicator to you and push the button. I even apply an overpatch. Simple. This all being said, with the exception of the above, I’m very satisfied with the DEXCOM System and it's potential to help me with my diabetic problems. All DEXCOM techs and personnel I speak with on the phone have been great. Will call again here shortly......Version: 2.8.1

FrustratingApp is very helpful for diabetes management WHEN IT WORKS!! I’ve had this app for months now and I have yet to be able to successfully login in on the first attempt!! Dexcom, why is this such an ongoing issue??.Version: 2.5.2

Works but poor iPad supportThe app does a lot right, in particular the option to link your data to your healthcare provider, GMI reporting and more. I’ve found this app to help me my manage my T1D and improve control. Downside is there is no real support for iPad. The app appears to be optimized for iPhone only. The biggest problem I’ve had is it nearly always takes a full 24 hours to calibrate new sensors with results varying from 30-50 mg/dL from my meter throughout the day and night before finally settling down. New sensor days almost always feature “sensor night” where I’m sure to get false alarms on both highs or lows. While Dexcom is good about replacing failed sensors, I’ve had multiple failures over my first nine months and they take a long time to deliver replacements. I’ve experienced 40 minute wait times for support but that seems to have improved recently. If you happen to be near the end of your supply and have a sensor failure, that can leave a gap in coverage. I’ve also had a transmitter failure which not only left me without coverage until a replacement transmitter could arrive, but this wasted the sensor it was paired with..Version: 2.14.1

Great information but.......I love this app, used it all the time to track Average +/- the Standard Deviation. However, for the past 5-6 months I’ve been unable to use it, login information is not recognized. Called tech support several times to work with me resetting the password, etc. but to no avail. Periodically use the website version but that too has been difficult, at times. I have found the given information is extremely useful keeping my A1C around 6-6.5.Version: 2.2.2

Doesn’t workWhat’s the point of an app that doesn’t work? Was very excited to see my data, but couldn’t get past the login screen which consistently pops up as “invalid token”... very disappointing. How else am I supposed to see my trend graphs?.Version: 2.5.1

Does not work!Suddenly not working at all !.Version: 2.21.0

Login doesn’t work in Canada!!This app has me so irritated 😠 I’ve followed all steps, downloaded, re-downloaded, checking country/region. Tried on web browsers, it’s ALWAYS the same response- username/password invalid!! No it’s not!!! My endocrinologist wants a detailed graph of my my readings from DEXCOM G6. Can’t get those sorry. PLEASE FIX THIS APP!!!.Version: 2.20.0

Frustration since last app updateSince the the last update (2.23), I have lost the “glucose management indicator “ all it says in that space is “ not enough information “. I found that information helpful to me. Have tried calling Dexcom, but ended the call since the person kept asking for the same information again and again. Yes I have tried rebooting my iPhone, have deleted the app without any luck. Help I want my GMI back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.Version: 2.23.0

Clarity did not work at allGot Dexcom last week. Clarity won’t log me on. Dexcom app working fine. Clarity website logs me on. Clarity app won’t recognise log in or password. I’ve deleted and reopened the app, restarted phone before and after. Spent an hour on call to technical support, troubleshooting, but nothing worked. Technician said he would escalate it and call back but never heard anything. Still won’t work. Miss the previous graphs that LibreLink has very much. Dexcom seems more accurate but their app is sadly poor in comparison to Libre..Version: 2.22.0

Time for the Canadian Dev team to pull up their socksSeriously we are still only supporting 14.1? This is something that each of us pays thousands of dollars for and we are lucky if it is updated on a quarterly basis, meanwhile the US counterpart is frequently updated..Version: 2.14.0

Problems updatingI seem to have consistent problems with the app not updating to show my recent data. I also seem to have persistent connection problems with the Dexcom app itself. When I had my recent hospital diabetes appointment my consultant was unable to view the last few months of data. I’m using an iphone and finding clarity and the dexcom app really frustrating..Version: 2.22.0

Login still doesn’t workI’m not sure if the developer was only thinking of American diabetics for this or not. I can log into the online version easily but this IOS app never recognizes my username..Version: 2.11.1

Does not workDoes not work. Does not even allow you to login. You would think an app that’s been out for so long in the states would work in Canada.Version: 2.4.0

UnreliableMy sensor regularly stops working. Sometimes before it quits I’ll get an alert that my blood sugar is dangerously low. I used to believe it and eat sugar to raise my blood sugar to soon realize after checking my meter that the sensor was just faulty resulting in 300+ blood sugars. Now I manually check it when it goes low just to make sure which is a hassle. I’ve been using this for years and have never went one full 10 days without the sensor malfunctioning. It seems like with as much as they charge for this device, they could make it work properly. Or change the name from continuous glucose monitor to works when it wants to monitor..Version: 2.12.0

Lack of events on daily reportsIf I view or print out daily reports it doesn’t contain all of the daily events. Why? It contains three columns of information that take the entirety of the page and won’t continue onto a second page if need be. I offer two solutions. First, have 3 columns take up the left half of the page and have another 3 take up the right half. That will double the amount of events on the same page. Second, allow a second page of results. Continuing to add pages will allow an unlimited amount of events being displayed. Obviously having a large amount of events shouldn’t be the normal but when it happens I should be able to review the ALL of the data. Especially if I’m running a weeks worth of reports to investigate highs in the early morning. Those will be the ones that are missing from the reports..Version: 2.16.0

It’s a mobile version. Very outdatedIt’s basically the mobile app which is pointless. An ipad version would be incredible and accessible for many - there’s no reason to not have developed it already. Considering it’s 2022 and how popular Dexcom is you’d expect that they’d have an iPad version. Very outdated. Dexcom, please make an ipad version!.Version: 2.17.0

App doesn’t work in CanadaI can log in online but can’t use the app! The app says I have the wrong credentials!? And even if I try to make a new account on the app it only allows you to select the United States as an option to make a new account! 👎👎.Version: 2.19.0

BuggedDoesn't let me log in.Version: 2.13.0

Terrible nowI used to love this app, but then something changed. Maybe an upgrade? Recently, rather than just opening up when I clicked the Clarity icon, I was asked to enter my user name and password. Nope. I was told either password or user name was wrong. But I used my IPhone password function. But I persisted. I used the “Forgot” password or username feature. Using one I was able to get a code from Clarity. But the code didn’t work. Using the other option, no code. As I can’t use the app, it deserves ZERO stars. Can someone explain why an app that refuses to work deserves a ONE star rating..Version: 2.24.0

Still doesn’t work in CanadaStill doesn’t work in Canada !!! Why not? Take it off the Canadian App Store then..Version: 2.16.0

Can’t signup ? Worst app ever!Don’t allow sign up..Version: 2.22.0

Can’t login.Doesnt work in Canada..Version: 2.14.1

Slow, illegible and redundantThis is a ridiculously unnecessary app needed just to view your food and medication entries and even that it can’t do well. There’s still no log for your food and medication entries so if you want to see anything resembling a logbook of activity, you have to load the excruciatingly slow “reports”. The reports are minuscule PDFs for your phone. (PDFs do not belong on phones!) But even if you had a magnifying glass to view the teeny-tiny reports, the daily report — the only one with a semblance of a log — doesn’t actually tell you what your entry is. You get a jumble of icons, but no details. All in all, this is a pathetic app I would love to uninstall..Version: 2.16.0

Locked out of in sign-in over tech issueLocked out in sign-in over tech issue. Tried fill out support form on-line. Fields are too short to explain even with severe run-on sentence to reduce character count. My problem is; I set up G7 app and all works well. I went to sign in to Clarity and am stuck at entering my email address. I keep my email address as an IOS keyboard shortcut. I entered the shortcut (which worked fine in the G7 app) and it did not expand. I tried to back space to fill in field manually. Backspace wont function. I tried to place cursor at beginning of field—cant place cursor. I fully closed out of app and re opened Clarity app but shortcut characters are still there. Cant fix field. So email field is filled in with shortcut and i cant make it go away to manually fill field correctly. Im stuck. This is an IT issue with the creators of the Clarity app..Version: 2.23.0

Doesn’t workThis app doesn’t work, always says my login information is wrong. I’ve been able to log in maybe once on the app even through I have no problem logging into the website. I gave up and deleted the app because it was a waste of space..Version: 2.9.0

Great concept, poor UXGood things about this app: being able to review patterns on my phone when it works. Bad things about this app: it can’t keep me logged in from one day to the next..Version: 2.4.0

UselessTo register. Too many small details in too many different locations: I gave up while using UpToDate iPhone. Poor intuitive programming..Version: 2.19.0

Good app spoiled by arrogant developersThis app, and the website app, used to display percentage times in range on both the Overview and AGP display to 1 decimal place. This has recently been changed to zero decimal places. This is REALLY unhelpful for people trying to adjust their diet and insulin dosage to improve time in range and reduce dangerous lows. Having contacted support they blamed the change on the AGP calculation providers. The AGP data providers say that their data analysis is not rounded and how it is displayed is the choice of Dexcom. It is sheer arrogance of developers who are possibly not fighting to improve their life with diabetes to dictate to users how they can view their own data. In this case they most certainly do not ‘know best’. It would not be be beyond the wit of (wo)man to make this a user setting choice, for example. Also a three hour delay in data updates seems a bit Neolithic!.Version: 2.22.0

Settings...App looks good beside the fact it thinks the year is 2029 and since there is no date and time setting WITHIN the app, there is no way to change it. The app isn’t really at fault here though, it’s the fact that Dexcom Clarity on the web also defaults to it and I can’t change it on either platforms. Great job Dexcom, can’t wait for you to overlook this flaw and make the thousands we spend on your decent equipment go to waste :).Version: 2.11.1

Not able to loginNot able to login to the App. I can go online and login, but when I enter everything at login it says not recognized or did I forget my password. New to G6, but I would be getting my next month from Dexcom if this is how I am supposed to get my data only. I will be going over to Libra.Version: 2.14.1

Needs option to add notes otherwise good. The best thing about this is the estimated A1c. I have found it to be quite accurate. There should be an option to add notes to a date range, such as when the sensor is in too deep and the readings are completely crazy. This will help you remember to explain to your Dr why a weekly report looks so bad. Other than that it provides as good of information as the sensor..Version: 2.10.0

Crashes and refuses log inOnce I’m in this app it’s great but logging in takes a few goes. And he’s im using the right details!!.Version: 2.3.2

Not worth having. This app is not worth having. Every time I try to log into this app we go round and round in circles. You can’t set up fingerprint or passcode log in like other apps either. Not that the app is ever working anyway..Version: 2.7.3

Dexcom ClarityJust started using Dexcom yesterday and discovered the clarity app today by accident and really happy to see the detailed data it provides. Will be extremely helpful in managing my diabetes. It would be really nice if Dexcom could provide average glucose for each day, as well as a 90-day one with a translation to approximate A1C number. My finger stick 1-touch reveal was able to provide my average and equivalent A1C in the comparitor with flexibility of inputting A1C from the bloodwork which provided a clear picture of how accurate the finger stick data (4 times a day) was compared to a 90-day A1C. Dexcom has so much more data (every 5 mins) and intelligence, so easy to do. Regards Amit.Version: 2.12.0

Doesn’t record very wellI really like this app when it works, but I have long periods when it shows no data. The interesting thing is that the Dexcom G-6 app also loses data, but not at the same time. I also have the t:connect app from Tandem which rarely loses contact with the CGM. I sent a request for support to Dexcom and their response was that I should contact Tandem for support. When I contacted Tandem their recommendation was to delete the app and reinstall it. This was done, but the problem persists. If Dexcom responds to this rating I would hope they are willing to step up to the plate to help solve it. After all, it is their app and their CGM..Version: 2.13.1

Reports generated in different languageThe information that you can get using this app is super helpful, but when I tried generating the reports, they were all in a different language than English. I cannot figure out any way to fix this..Version: 2.8.1

I am no stranger to technology...My 2 year old daughter is diabetic. Not only can I not easily connect her Dexcom G6 so that I can see it through the app, but it also says I’m the patient. That part cannot be edited, (it’s in the profile section) and when I input my daughter’s info so that it says she’s the patient, it tells me account holders have to be over 18. :( You should be able to easily choose who is being monitored for diabetes (especially sine I’ll be sending this to clinics) and despite me creating her a ‘dependent account’ I still can’t hook up her CGM or even tell the app that she is the patient. And they use this for clinics! And yes my phone is compatible, I have the iPhone XS..Version: 2.11.1

App won’t openEvery time I go to open the app at my Drs office, it will never open. I’ve restarted my phone, I’ve done (I think it’s called) a hard restart, where I press the sleep button and home button at the same time till it restarts, and that doesn’t work. I close the app all together and restart it, nope, nothing. I press the app, the beginning shows up, and then it just closes all together after that. This is very inconvenient just because my dr relies on it to view my numbers every time I come in, so I have to view my numbers by other means. Please fix this problem!.Version: 2.1.3

It works in Australia now 👍🏻👍🏻But still a little slow, especially to download reports. Nice to have on hand to check recent time in range..Version: 2.4.0

App is good enough for my purposes, but needs improvementThe app displays my sugar accurately enough (usually within 0-15 off) and works on my iPhone without crashing. One thing that I would like the Dexcom app engineers to reconsider is how the urgent low alarms work. I am in a situation where I need my phone turned on, but all noises and vibrations to cease. This app put my in a very embarrassing situation in front of my boss’s boss; to make a long story short I ate my glucose tablets and corrected for my low sugar before attending the event mentioned, but the urgent low alarm went off 3 times during his speech before I had a chance to turn it off. Please for the love of God let us silence those low alarms completely. I understand the liability aspect, but putting a simple disclaimer would prevent any potential law suits. Thank you for reading..Version: 2.5.1

ConnectionCan’t for the life of me get the clarity app to connect. Was fine till yesterday. Now all I get is can’t connect to notifications. Tried everything. Deleted. Reloaded. Shut down phone. Restarted. Called and was waiting for 40 minutes to talk to someone and got hung up. I am currently in the middle of a review and if I can’t send them my diagnostic by Tuesday they will deny my continuing the Dexcom system. Please help..Version: 2.22.0

International version doesn't workTrying this from Australia. Just loops with an "authentication error" on startup, despite me not even having configured any account settings..Version: 2.2.2

Poor user experienceIn order to see the data, you have to load one or more reports. This is a slow process. Frankly, I should be able to see high level trends in the Dexcom sensor app, rather than have to navigate to another app, load a bunch of reports, decide my dosage and navigate BACK to the other Dexcom app to enter my insulin amount. Dexcom needs to integrate some of the Clarity functionality with the sensor app, then trash Clarity altogether. Horrible UX design and CX..Version: 2.24.0

IPad versionIt’s very surprising that the application does not support an iPad landscape mode. it would be great to see all the date in the iPad landscape mode..Version: 2.23.0

Problem with new updateSince the new update, I get each time I open the app a warning that I got network problems and I’m not sure if it’s real..Version: 2.8.0

Notifications and alerts are brokenAs of the last few weeks this stupid thing refuses to alert me when i go low. It only works when i hit an urgent low which is insane. I have checked every setting i can, reset every setting and it still doesn’t work. Alarm volume is now tied to media controls instead of notifications which is dangerous to say the least. Whether it’s Dexcom’s fault or Apples I don’t really care, you are going to kill someone without forcing your app to override Apples settings..Version: 2.24.0

Great reportsThe reports are great, better than I was expecting. But how come the app can’t remember my login credentials from one fay to the next is baffling, and even then when I log back in again *every single time* I get a login failed error before the app actually goes through anyway.Version: 2.5.1

Needs improvement but worksThe only drawback I see but am not an expert is the pattern recognition in the app does not work at all. This can make it difficult to adjust your lifestyle and eating habits by seeing where things are going wrong. Also 7 and 14 day never shows glucose averages for that specific time frame. Devon has made a major difference in my health and I do recommend it to any diabetic looking to get life under control as a diabetic..Version: 2.21.0

Great App......But can you not make it universal - this would be great taking in to account the screen real-estate on the iPad?.Version: 2.2.1

Not bad for a startIt’s a mobile version of what you get on the website. You can see all your reports, but they seem to be generated info a pdf-like format so you have to zoom in and out to see them. Could be a bit more mobile friendly. I was somehow logged in automatically, I’m guessing it’s because I have the G6 app already installed, but it would be nice to get that information, just so it doesn’t seem like my data is available to anyone without logging in :) All in all, a good start, easier way of getting to your clarity data. Hopefully we’ll get more usability updates in the future!.Version: 2.2.0

Awful app constantly crashingAwful app constantly crashing and loosing signal. Crashes on the message screen after opening and the green continue button you can not click on. It just shows green on the button without the word continue. Forever loosing signal when my mobile is next to me and and with half a metre of the Dexcom one sensor..Version: 2.23.0

2 AccountsWhatever you do, do not make 2 accounts! I’ve been trying for YEARS to get my dexcom clarity to work after accidentally creating a duplicate account and have connected with their support team multiple times and no one has been able to get my clarity app to work with my dexcom app. It’s sad because when I’m able to upload my numbers, the clarity is so useful! I don’t want to be dependent on charging an additional device aside from my phone to keep track of my blood sugars so it’s very frustrating..Version: 2.20.0

RubbishDoesn’t hold critical information seems stuck on figures since I started on dexcom can’t or won’t update and doesn’t show any patterns really disheartening when you have in range bloods all day but doesn’t work on today’s current data..Version: 2.21.0

Can’t loginIt wants me to check off boxes it won’t let me check off 😡.Version: 2.24.0

Less data available in recent updateI used to really love to review the AGP report from the Clarity app because it had detailed information regarding time in each blood glucose range. A recent update simplified the time in range information to be basically the same information on the summary. I used to see the actual percentage of time in each blood glucose range to the tenth decimal. Each .1 of a percent is 1.5 minutes! Now the AGP report removes the less than one decimal information. For example the old report would say 0.2% below 55 mg/dl now it would just show <1 for the same data. Why can’t I have more detailed information on the AGP report anymore? I love the app but liked it better when it had more of my data available to me. Hopefully this can be brought back. I already completed a support ticket right when the update came out thinking maybe the data just got moved. I learned then that the data I was looking for was removed not just moved. The change was a choice made by the developer. Per the suggestion below I put in another service request. I also removed a star because I doubt doing the same thing I did before will change anything..Version: 2.21.0

CrashingTried logging in, every time I put in my username and password it crashes.Version: 2.24.0

Laggy and awful to use.It could be so much better! The app is slow, it takes ages to load if it even works at all. The login process is time consuming and laggy. I tend to avoid using it at all and stick to diasend as it just works. The reports however, are valuable so id love it if I didn’t have to deal with the horrid login each time..Version: 2.11.1

Doesn’t work in CanadaThis app only allows American users. It would be nice as a Canadian to be able to use it but I guess we can’t. To bad..Version: 2.13.1

Always logged outThe app is always logging users out. I don’t know if it’s on software updates, or randomly, but having to log back into this app every 2-3 weeks is super annoying..Version: 2.24.0

Doesn’t workBroken! Won’t let you login with correct credentials. The desktop version is awesome but this version doesn’t work..Version: 2.2.2

Not impressed.I have had a decent few months using the Dexcom clarity app. A while ago now the app signed me out and I have been unable to retrieve my account since then. I’ve rung up, I’ve used the live chat, I’ve tried to reset my password but haven’t received the correct link to reset it. It has also told me that I don’t have an account with them even though I’ve received emails. I’m so confused and I’m not sure really what else I can do. Please help! Thank you! My name is Mary..Version: 2.23.0

IPad Support? Nope! Useless features? Sure! The useful bits of this app would be perfect for native iPad support for the same reasons you don’t usually paint or write music or essays on your phone. I want to see everything. Instead I get to see very little. I have no idea why the "percentage while you were in range metric" is even there, much less why it gets top billing. I think it’s worse than useless in the same way frequently measuring how much you weigh gets in the way of losing weight. It doesn’t tell you what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong. It doesn’t help you understand how to do better. It only needlessly adds complacency that you are doing good enough or anxiety that you aren’t doing good enough. It doesn’t tell you why your diabetes does what it does which is kind of the point of a continuous glucose monitor..Version: 2.5.0

This is too complicated for a phone appLots of reports that you can’t read on your phone. Even though they claim to have an app for Mac they don’t. Only for the iPhone. And you can run reports all day and never be able to compare two data points from two different days e.g. 9pm Thursday and Friday. Not being able to see more than 24 hours of data points is ridiculous. Why gather all this data and not allow the user to see it. The UI on both the G7 and the Clarity app need to be available for the Mac and all of the data needs to be available as well as be able to be seen clearly. Not a fan..Version: 2.23.0

Come on Dexcom! This is the iPhone version of the app - in other words it uses a small part of the middle of the screen on an ipad, including offering me a tiny keyboard to type on. Given the high cost of the product, please Dexcom make the ipad app suitable for an ipad so I can actually see what I’m doing. While we’re here, please consider ipad versions for the G6 - there’s nothing on the App Store currently. Thanks!.Version: 2.5.2

DishearteningThe day to day recording is okay, but I find it frustrating that an above goal reading at midnight is 10% lower by morning. This means that a high overnight affects the previous day’s performance as well as the current one. Why can’t the readings be finalised at midnight every day? This drop overnight can be the difference between exceeding or failing to achieve his daily goals and is very disheartening when it’s the lattter. Trying to encourage a teenager to manage his bloods is hard enough without the system you’re using making it harder. The app won’t show any data for the current day until at least early evening anyway so it obviously cuts off at some point, why not at the end of the day, I.e. midnight?.Version: 2.22.0

Somehow not getting dataI am on my 4th DexCom sensor. The DexCom app is working fine. I downloaded the Clarity app fairly soon after getting my first sensor, but have found it useless. When I check the Summary area, it says “Not enough data available” no matter how many days I choose. When I check Reports, no matter what I choose it says “This report could not be generated.” Clarity app is apparently not connected to the DexCom app or the sensor, and I have not been able to figure out how to get it connected. I might as well delete it..Version: 2.22.0

BadBad.Version: 2.8.0

Can Not Log InI’ve been able to log in to the Clarity “.eu” web portal with the account I created for my G6 and all my data is there but the app’ simply returns a wrong log in information error. I’m in Canada. ( sigh… ).Version: 2.8.1

CanadaMake it work in Canada!!!.Version: 2.15.2

Dexcom ClarityI live in Canada and can’t log in. It doesn’t give an option to choose Canada..Version: 2.20.0
