Simply Piano: Learn Piano Fast for Positive User Reviews

I just started and I already know so muchWorks so good.Version: 6.2

Love this app!I’ve been using this app for the last year (during the UK lockdown) and I’ve found it absolutely brilliant. Although the cost is something that most probably aren’t used to, you can definitely see why it is worth it once you’ve experienced the app. My justification was that only a couple of in person piano lessons would have cost just as much. I can use the app whenever I want and practice as much as I want to (which is daily at the moment!) It has encouraged consistency in my daily routine and I’m finally happy to be able to feel more confident in reading sheet music again. The customer service has also been excellent, helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this app and will be re-subscribing for another year soon!.Version: 8.5.19

Could be betterIt’s a real good app but why the subscription? You buy the yearly pack or whatever, two months later your grandpa is jealous, it’s like you pay a buck or whatever and you learn quickly a nickel’s worth if you will, I just don’t understand why you pay what you do. But anyway great app.Version: 9.0.3

1 year of using appMust have app! I Started using this app 1 year ago. I had some familiarity reading music from playing instruments during my elementary-high school days but after 20 years of no playing, I was very rusty & had never played piano before. After 1 year of using the app I am confidently playing the piano with both hands. I am not able to practice every day and very often I can only get 10-20mins in 2x/week. I know I would be even further along if I had more time but I am impressed with how much I accomplished & owe it all to Simply Piano!! It’s amazing that I can learn at my own pace and don’t need to leave my home for lessons or have someone come into my home to teach me! Theres a wide variety of songs & I enjoy the challenges that are added every so often too. The Disney & holiday challenges had such fun to play songs!! I look forward to seeing where my progress is at in another year. My 6 year old son is also learning piano from the app and can do so on his own with ease. We plan on trying to learn guitar w/the app in the future too! I Highly recommend this app for any adult or child who wants to learn or needs a refresher!!!.Version: 9.3.2

Great app, however...(App developer please read to the end) The app has been instrumental in getting child to practice more. She started learning to play the piano earlier this year and she became rather good at it quickly but after a while she became bored with and it was a struggle to get her to practice even for 10 minutes. Piano became fun when we discovered this app and she easily goes for up to an hour before I drag her away from the piano! The result is that her piano has improved a lot (according to her teacher) and she now enjoys it. This is great however there is a problem in that the app only allows my login on my app. I try logging into my wife’s iPad so she could use the app on there but it wasn’t possible. I’ll be travelling for a few days and I want her to be able to continue where she left off on her moms ipad. Is it possible to login on a separate iPad? I’ve got a 3 month subscription and it will be a waste if it can only be used on a single device!.Version: 6.3

This app is amazingIf you are not very confident in singing or playing instruments this is the app for you. It helps you learn notes and chords and I always love to sing along to the songs that I know. When I saw the add I new it looked like fun because I had never played any instruments before piano. So I asked my mum if I could buy a keyboard but my nan had a old one that still worked. When finally my mum and me went to pick up the piano and my mum downloaded this app. Then I was playing it for days and days and I never got bored. My mum bought premium. Premium allows you to play way more songs and it is so fun!! There is also different learning areas like pop chords 1 and essentials 1 which they make you learn new songs and learn new notes and chords. What I really love is when you play a song and you finish it it tells you how many notes you got out of how many notes there are in the song and it also gives you stars out of 3 and it is just so good for kids and adults!!!.Version: 8.5.5

The best app for piano learning but..I personally love this app so much but what I have experienced is like sometimes you play the wrong notes but like it doesn’t correct you play the wrong sometimes happens so if you play the role night then it said is correct so it doesn’t listen very wellAnd it’s like so annoying but other than that this is a very nice app to learn piano and I do piano and I have learnt more more songs from this app I love it a lot but to make it even better I think that it’s a listen carefully because like when you get it wrong it was correct in sometimes you’ll be wrong about it you’ll be wrong and then you’ll be at corrective you just play the wrong song so I think this should be fixed. Other than that this is a really nice app.Version: 8.5.20

Great Family Learning ToolWe got this for my daughter during covid19 lockdown. She had just started lessons with a teacher (4sessions). After 8 weeks she can play along to so many songs. She loves the challenges and the sheet music. She would play 5hours a day if she was allowed to. Lol. The practice mode is brilliant, especially the ‘wait’ option in there. Added bonus is we all have a profile and can learn at our own pace. It’s so worth the $$ and would recommend this to any family looking to learn keyboard..Version: 8.2.4

Wonderful Learning tool!I have been using this app since March 2019 from the beginning of lockdown! I started from zero knowledge and it has taught me so much and I can read music and play songs now and continuously improving…still have a long way to go…but loving the journey 😆😆😆Also I want to say they have an amazing team of developers and behind the scenes administration people that have been so helpful and fast in solving any issues I have encountered. I wholeheartedly recommend this app… It’s so satisfying learning something new in your own surroundings, in your own time and at your own pace! I look forward to many years ahead of using this app! Please keep up the amazing work guys I really do appreciate everything you do and offer on this app!.Version: 8.8.2

Honest reviewThought I’d write a review as I’ve read a fair few reviews complaining about issues such as note recognition, pricing etc. I’ll grant that note recognition can be a little off at times, especially picking up a certain note within a chord, however I’d highly recommend you connect your keyboard to your device using a Midi connection which, for me at least, eliminated this issue. If you look at this course as just an “app” then yes, it will seem expensive. However, if you look at it as I did (a step by step tuition on learning a musical instrument) then it is absolutely value for money. There is a huge amount of content. Courses are well laid out and you have the ability to play songs at slower speeds if you choose in order to learn at an easier pace. Challenges and new songs are added frequently and there is a good, helpful community of over 120,000 users on social media. A lot of time and thought has gone into this course and I think the price more than matches the effort the developers have put into it. A piano teacher would cost far more and I honestly don’t think I’d have advanced as I am or maintained my interest using one. This is a fun method of learning. And you DO learn. Thank you for reading..Version: 8.2.3

AmazingSimply piano has actually saved me. How, well it all started when I was doing piano lessons and I was getting a bored because i wasn’t playing my favourite songs and I eventually quit. My mum inspired me to play piano because she was a great piano player and as it turns out piano is good for my learning and my brain. When I first heard about simply piano on a add I was delighted. “What if I download this app I thought to myself, an then it hit me. After all I wasn’t going to let go of the piano touch! When I joined I could play tones of songs and so much to pick from. my first song on the piano journey was bad guy and I was so happy….. I WAS SAVED 😀😀😀😀😃😃😃tones of joy filled my ears Thank you for everything simply piano Yours sincerely Matteo.Version: 8.6.0

Got to learn fur Elise and simple intermediate songs in jsut 4 weeks of playingI don’t know why there’s so much hate around simplypiano. I got to learn the basics of left and right hand and simple techniques of thumb stretching and thumb under and fingers over. Literally this is such a good and cheaper than 20 dollars per hour sessions with a teacher. In 2 weeks, I got to learn from c position, f position on the right hand and left hand. I spent maybe 3 hours everyday for the past 5 weeks now and can play really nice songs. Just need to practice my timing and all that. I’m 17, Norma average joe. What I dislike about the app is where if the app doesn’t catch the key you play because you’re playing a chord or multiple keys, it doesn’t catch and frustrates me sp much that I break my hurt my hand by smashing my keyboard but that’s about it. It catches simple keys but when you’re playing like 5 keys at the same time, it has a hard time catching it up..Version: 8.5.31

Amazing appSo I just started playing this it’s really fine but at the same time a little bit hard but you should definitely try this app it is amazing I have it’s like a little bit ago but it was hard for me but now I’m seven and I was six when we first got it and I really love it now it’s amazing I had another one but then it start to not work so then I wanted to try this again and I’ve been playing for about 15 minutes now and I already love it so this is a very cool app you should definitely get it at first it will be a little bit frustrating but then you would actually be able to do a lot of stuff like it’s difficult and then you get used to it and then you will be able to do it so I recommend you to buy this app like it is amazing like when I first started I didn’t know how to play it but now I do so it’s really amazing is it home to me only in 15 minutes so you should deathly get this app and if you were kid reading this you should show your mom and you should deathly get it like it is amazing when I first started it was just difficult but then you’ll get used to it so you should get it this app is amazing🤪🤩.Version: 8.3.0

Love itThis is the best app for learning the piano/keyboard from my experience. in 2 hours l learnt to play songs with both hands. I am really grateful this app exists because I have always wanted to play the keyboard. and for the people who forgot to cancel the trial... that’s your fault. l read some of your reviews, but it says clearly “start free trial and subscribe” when you start it. so yeah and if you do want to get the free trial, yes, cancel it before it ends then..Version: 8.5.23

Fantastic but maybe needs a little changeWe brought this for our 6 yr old daughter. We have paid for the yearly subscription, yes at first I did think it was a bit pricey but private lessons would cost a lot more. The deal is if she is still sticking to it after a year then we will get her one to one lessons. She does 30mins 3 times a week at least. Within 1 week she is learnt to read the music sheet. It’s fantastic. However the only gripe I have is that I wish there we more “nursery” songs for children to learn like twinkle twinkle, row row your boat etc. And also to have to letter of the key they should be playing not just the number of the finger as this is what she tends to remember not that it is E she says 3. Other than that she is doing really well and enjoying it. With what she has taken in in 3 weeks I can’t wait to see how much she learns..Version: 8.0.1

Amazing and fast to learn, but…So I think this app is amazing for how much easier and more enjoyable it is than any other alternative that I’ve tried, and it’s been really easy for me to learn and how fast it goes though. I do have some problems I want to point out though, such as sometimes when I get introduced to something, they don’t explain it before first showing something sometimes, and it isn’t much of a problem for me at least, but it can make things more difficult sometimes. Also sometimes when I’m playing, the notes will automatically think they heard me play when in reality I didn’t, and it just skips notes and I need to skip ahead to keep playing, and it gets aggravating for me because I want to be able to do lessons on my own pace, and this bug isn’t very helpful. Idk if it’s something wrong with the calibration if I’m able to change that, or if it’s something else. Either way, this app is still very cool, and it has made me very happy to finally start learning piano again, and is also in general making my life more pleasant especially in the time I’m in school, making me feel more confident in my schooling. Over all, an amazing app, with its every day bugs that can be fixed..Version: 8.6.4

Excellent learning toolSo I learned how to play the piano very basically when I was at school. I’ve always had a musical ear and picked up reading sheet music particularly easy. These skills have been found again with the use of this app. Genuinely so easy to use and fun. This app helps you enjoy playing the piano while actually learning a thing or two. There is a small issue with the microphone not always recognising the sound as I’ve seen in other reviews. Also the practice mode would be great to be able to turn off completely. As a person who sorta knows a thing or two practice mode of me isn’t necessarily required at my level and therefore would be great if you could stop it popping up every couple of times “notes are being missed” due to the mic not recognising them..Version: 6.1.10

Motivation to learn pianoThis app is simply a motivating tool to learn piano and it works pretty good. I had a little problem with recognition, not enough to complain. Choses of songs to practice are great and you feel like a rock star on Essentials 1st level, because you already got to play Imagine. The system is neat. Each chapter teaches you a new skill and very visual concept of it makes me motivated to get all notes right, so I get stuck hours playing same song until perfection. I also try to play sheet music for beginners and oh god, how boring those are, so I switch to the app. There are few minuses... Sometimes I feel that finger positions are odd, but you can go ahead and figure out the way you can play it more comfortably. I would like to be able to see songs as a sheet too, so it’s easier to learn them by heart. Otherwise, this app is great. It’s a bit expensive, but teacher would cost much more. I think if I ever get to a higher level in the app and then go to the classes it would be a perfect way to polish my knowledge, but at this point I do feel that I am growing with every lesson I take! Great job.Version: 7.0.11

Simply Fantastic!I am in my upper 60s. I had never learned to read music, and I am an adult beginner at piano. I have told people that I am “an eternal beginner..“ I have taken about 3 spurts of lessons off and on, but was frankly not self-disciplined enough to make myself practice. Yes, I worked full-time, had 6 children, and on and on. In January of 2022, Simply Piano was promoted as a top-rated educational app in an Apple email. I took the bait and went for the free 7-day trial that was offered. In no time, I was completely hooked. I considered that the annual rate was less expensive than taking piano lessons from a piano teacher. I could practice any time of the day or night and for as often, as long or as short that I wanted. And from the get-go, I felt as though I was accompanying actual singers and music! The app really makes learning fun—almost gamifies it! There are songs one can play along to, and in-app sheet music. There are scales, and workouts. And their chat support is AMAZING! Can’t recommend this app highly enough! Thank you, Simply Piano! You’re heroes to me!.Version: 9.1.9

This am amazing appThis app is awesome. It teaches you amazing songs and the courses are are like actual piano lesson from my point of view.I take piano lessons but I should have got this app because it didn’t waste any of my time and I what I learnt in 1-2 years I could’ve learnt in not even a week. I am now learning more things that lessons would have waited a whole 6 more moths at a max. When you read you probably think that because it is faster it is not that effective but you are wrong if anything they are more effective. They don’t waste your time like I wrote before and they videos along the way to show what you need to do when you learn something new, you can hit pause at anytime when you need to and when you do they have options for instance if you wanted to hear what you are playing if you need to slow the tempo down and a whole lot of other things and this is just the courses. You can unlock sheet music play songs and when you go to play a song the app gives you an option to practice it as it helps you break it down..Version: 8.4.4

Great App RecommendedThis is a great app to learn piano I only just got it and I can’t get away from it! There are so many great songs that you can play on there and you can even play some songs after you have learnt only a few notes! I have played on it for ten minutes and I can already play Bohemian Rhapsody(Shortened). It’s really really great and it’s given me something productive to do after school and other things instead of me going straight on my IPad and being lazy for the rest of the day. You learn so quick and it even gives you demo Videos which is really great because if you are confused you can refer back to the video. I recommend Simply Piano if you are struggling to learn. Thank you Simply Piano you really have boosted my piano skills already!.Version: 8.5.6

Great App!This is a very good app! Yes you have to pay, but still it is worth it! I learned very fast with this app I would definitely recommend it. It explains clearly and it teaches you new things! It’s cool how it actually listens to the device and understands if you get the wrong note or not. Again great app keep it up 👍.Version: 6.3.8

My favourite appI have always wanted to learn piano and after 14 months of using Simply Piano I can play at an intermediate level. The course structures are so enjoyable and you can start playing songs you love at a basic level from the start. I’m pretty staggered at the amount of reviews giving one star ratings because you have to pay. What planet do you live on? Do you work for free? If you don’t want to pay then move on. I can only imagine the costs of licensing the rights to the huge library of music within the app. You also get access to Simply guitar. The cost off this app is a bargain compared to face to face lessons and I highly recommend it for both value for money and effectiveness..Version: 9.4.26

Love this app but there’s a problem..Hi! I’m Kaitlin and I love playing the piano. Ever since my dad got me a keyboard, I wanted to learn new songs and learn new notes. And then I kept seeing Simply Piano ads on every app I played. So I decided to check it out. And then my dad got it for me. So I started learning new notes and then I finally was ready to play the song I chose to play. But then it said I need a TRIAL. And then I got annoyed. And then it said that there’s a 7 day free trial and then the other two trials DIDN’T HAVE A 7 DAY FREE TRIAL!! And those trials cost SO MUCH MONEY!! In the ads I see, I believe that people get paid to say good things about Simply Piano. And this app is great! But still, SO EXPENSIVE! 🙄😔 Now my parents don’t want to pay and now I can’t use Simply Piano anymore. In my opinion, I think that this app should be TOTALLY FREE! That would make mine and my parents life SO MUCH EASIER! But now I can’t use the app and I’ll never find a good enough app to learn piano like this one. I just think that it should be free or very cheap, so at least I could use Simply Piano, be happy, and have my parents pay for a trial that’s cheap. So, that’s all I have to say. Thanks for reading! 🙂.Version: 8.9.2

For the person who “forgot” to cancel. It’s not even SimplyPiano fault you lost your money. It’s meant to take your money if you don’t cancel in time, there is nothing wrong with that. Don’t just blame ITunes when you FORGOT to cancel. There is a lot of people that worked hard on this, so you SHOULDN’T say those rude things about the app. They are not stealing your money, they do this automatically because they think that you agreed to learn on the app. You could have just told them nicely about it and they will return your money back..Version: 8.2.12

Good app for learning pianoIt’s only for beginner and intermediate piano learn but it’s fun to use and will get you started give you a good base to begin your piano learning journey. I think the best thing about the app is it will make you want to play and try so you don’t give up on learning in the early stages then when you are done with the app you can go to another app like flowkey or tomplay, buy music books or get a piano teacher because simply piano will give you the basics of playing and keep you motivated so practicing becomes a habit and when you out grow the app you will want more. In terms of helping people learn piano it’s a good app. But technical stuff musicality and theory it has next to nothing no tempo, dynamics, no pedal work, no slurs, or style markings, not even triplets or dotted notes so what you can learn on this app doesn’t prepare you for reading more than basic beginner music. You will look at sheet music and wonder what are all these marking simply piano didn’t teach me any of these, but if you want to quickly learn basic piano in a fun way simply piano does do that well. I say that it is worth purchasing because it does help get you into playing and wanting to play..Version: 9.4.24

If I could I would rate this 20 starsIt’s one amazing app I started off with the odd chord or two on piano I did’nt really like it but mum insisted and after a month I was playing styles. I AM 11! For me to have learned that much and have also had fun doing it you guys have done above and beyond to make this a fun experience THANKS😉.Version: 8.5.5

Amazing, but I’m unable to play more. This app is great for beginners and I highly recommend it, however if you’re not wiling to pay money you won’t be able to even finish the basics course. To engage in the last session of the first course and anything after that you must the premium/a member. The first few sessions are very helpful but everything after that is payed members only meaning once you complete the last free session you have to pay for the rest. You should definitely download this app! If you’re willing to pay yearly or monthly, feel free to do so. If not, just try it out and see if you like it. If you still don’t want to pay, you might have to search for any other app, unfortunately. Sorry for making this sort of long.Version: 6.1.9

Love this app! Pls add these below if you canLove this app, take my money as it’s so easy and simple to learn piano! Love the list of songs and the function to actually read the real script! But as I need audio to learn, may I please ask if you can add in the music note that you expect me to play in those songs (even before all those exercises/ training 1&2 before playing a real song) I just need to listen to get it...I keep playing the wrong note and can’t relate the song. And if possible, can you add in the function that I can drag back to the part I played wrong, instead of playing the whole song. I want to keep practicing the part I played not as good before playing the whole one again...if that make sense. I will keep playing :) thank you so much..Version: 6.2

No Regret At All (Really Great App)Technically, I would just rated 4 stars for this app since there is always room for improvement. However, I rated it 5 stars for a very personal reason. I learned to play piano on and off throughout my childhood but gave it up during my mid teen. Thinking I will never be able to play perfectly, I even began to hate the instrument since it kept reminding me that I have no musical talent. I even tried to avoid anyone who can play like my friends and cousins (when they play). However, I have come to realise that nothing is actually stopping me from finding musical talent but myself. So now almost 28, I decided to start again through this app. I initially hesitated due to the price and that often times, subscriptions are hard to cancel. But surprisingly, I have come to love it. Now playing it almost everyday whenever I can, the house is filled with simple melodies. I don’t mind not becoming professional as long as I can play for my parents, especially my father. He has always hoped that one day, his children will touch the keys again. I recommend this to anyone who are struggling to reconcile with piano and music. Keep the app running for old iOS please!! Some of us still use old iPads. ❤️🙏🏻.Version: 8.3.0

SuzieLove this system. Like the rapid progression. I don't want to procrastinate just keep moving forwards. With in 2 months I was able to play simple arrangements that I have never seen before. I'm 8 months along and still loving the program. Well done Joy Tunes..Version: 4.11.1

Fantastic!I love this app. I had some lessons over ten years ago but didn’t get very far. Been using Simply Piano for about 18 months and can actually play songs that are more than a few bars. Plus they’re modern ones, not the same ‘old’ stuff that you find in books. Also it gives you different course paths to take, you can go the ‘traditional piano’ route, or you can go down the pop keyboard road. Classical course are optional. I know some people have a problem with the price it really isn’t all that expensive. Yes $100 may seem like a lot at once but it is really a bargain. When I paid for lessons with a teacher, $10 per half hour lesson, $100 for 5 hours teaching. Here it is for the whole year and you can play as much as you want! Plus you have access to music for modern songs. Plus a whole library of sheet music to access through the app, and they’re constantly adding more. It is cheaper per month than a subscription to Netflix. As for not picking up notes sometimes, yes that happens to me. I use an electronic keyboard. I just change the “piano” I’m using to one with a stronger sound, only occurs on some songs, the rest of the time I do what I want. This really is a great app for someone learning. Truly lots of variety, and it’s constantly expanding. Though yes I agree, more Australian artists please..Version: 8.4.2

OMG! Obsessed! Perfect for adult beginners!I can’t speak highly enough of this app. The lesson plans are so perfectly assembled for beginners and make progress so attainable. Everything is ordered so well that I constantly feel challenged, but not overwhelmed. Anyone who has wanted to learn the piano, but never been able to make it happen this is absolutely the app for you. I’m using it with a 90 year old acoustic piano and (so long as your piano is concert pitch) the note recognition works great. The subscription did seem a little steep at first glance, but after getting hooked during the free trial I realised the value included. So I asked my family to gift the subscription for my birthday. Loving it, and driving my husband crazy. 😜.Version: 4.14

ReviewHello JoyTunes! At first, we began with Simply Piano free version like every person. Always had second thought on premium. Well, my sister was like, “Can we get SimplyPiano? “ and I was like, uh? Well, the thing is, Simply Piano premium includes Simply Guitar too! So I really like that and getting premium is a really good idea I think. Well, depending on your interests though as Ikm more of a piano person. One of my favourite things is as I have learned the basics and harder stuff like, that somewhere else I found Simply piano more better so I do suggest like, to learn that stuff to enjoy it in like, a better kind of way like yeah. Well, I am currently wanting to play “Fur Elise” and I am. Fun. Premium is very well, and I suggest you to get it IF you really have high love for it and do it most of the time, like DONT let it sit around. Love how if we have questions we have a person to help and answer! Happy customer! Mel Updated: Can you do SimplyDrums?.Version: 8.5.32

Truly amazingTo be honest I downloaded this app just for the free trial, because I couldn’t believe that people like myself with no previous musical history could read music and play within two weeks as was claimed in the ad. Well, here I am over a year later, impressing my friends, but more importantly, really enjoying playing and practicing when I’m on my own. At the age of 53, it’s great to know that something like this is not beyond me, as I hadn’t really been exercising my brain and learning anything new in quite a while. It’s such a lovely pastime, and quite life changing. If you’re considering it, give it a shot-I’ve no doubt you’ll be surprised!.Version: 8.5.20

This app is an absolute stealI bought this app because Covid lockdowns forced a suspension of lessons with my kids’ piano teacher. We paid her $60/week. With this app, the kids are learning faster, they’re more engaged with practicing at home, and my wife and I have even picked up practicing our own rusty piano skills. It’s brought joy to the whole house during quarantine frustrations. At 1/20th the cost of in-person lessons, I’m not sure we’ll ever go back. There is one thing I really don’t like about the app. it’s not enough to warrant stripping off a star, but it is worth mentioning. A lot of the songs have an accompanying drumbeat track with a tempo that is completely mismatched with the music. This causes unnecessary frustration because you have to mentally block out the drum track rhythm and follow your own, because if you follow the rhythm, you’ll fail the lesson. In a way, it forces you to focus and tune out distractions which adds to the challenge, but it should be an option to turn it off. All in all, if you have a piano and want to improve your skills, this app is a no brainer and more than worth every penny..Version: 8.2.11

Amazing!!!This app is so amazing I tried this app and guess what! In less then a week trying to practice I’m already a pro at this!! You guys try this app out but I might give you a paying thing but try the 7 day free trial even if I is over you will still have the AMAZING technique and skill so you guys reading this please download this app and if your interested in piano this app is PERFECT!.Version: 8.5.19

Great App, 5 star Quality, Complaint Reasons! 😶Some people complain about the money, others complain about when you click the right thing but it says wrong, people complain about glitches, BUT I know the reason for these, The app is for pay, because if it was all free then the creators won't have made any money by making this app, that's why people make apps. And it's optional if you don't wanna pay then don't play, because they made this app to provide learning, and to make some moolah. The sound problem is the sound in your house, I found out about this when I was singing to the song and accidentally forgot to play a note, it counted as right, or when I played a note correct my brother was yelling (for no apparent reason) so it drowned out the sound and I got the note "wrong", they use this with recording so that the app can hear if you got it right or wrong, that's why it's there. And dude, stop complaining about "glitches" it's your internet, I've been playing this for almost 6 months and ZERO glitches ZERO bugs so stop complaining it's your internet get it fixed for God's sake. So this is a great app, and now you have reasons for them, not the game's fault..Version: 8.4.0

Best appI am a musical person. I do musical theatre, sing in an award winning youth choir and i have played things like recorder in a club when i was in primary school😂. I dabbled in piano when i was like 9 but i never played anything properly, it would just be melody lines with 1 finger on 1 note at a time. I used to listen to people who would play the piano (not amazingly, but better than i was) and i would think, "Wow, I could never play that,". Well now I believe i can. I started playing again in January of this year, i couldn't remember any basic chords i had learnt or any of the notes i had learnt to read in sheet music. Now, I can play several chords, read music, play my favourite songs, all because of one app. I can now play the things i thought i never could. It is expensive.. but it is totally worth it! In my opinion, it is better than having in person lessons m as you can play whatever you like, whenever you like. I haven't gotten bored of this app and because you can see a set path it helps me know what i am aiming for. Sorry if this was a bit of a ramble, but this app is 110% worth it..Version: 8.9.6

Simply piano is awesomeI love this app before I did not know how to play piano and now I am pretty good.Version: 8.2.6

BUY NOWThis a great piano app. It’s definitely worth it. We payed for the year subscription as this was like a substitute for piano lessons. It listens to the notes you play and, yes it does sometimes get it wrong. But no app is perfect! On day two I had already learned my G major cord, C major cord and D major cord. On day three I learned my E minor cord. If your worried you’ll only learn with an app don’t be! Simply piano sends you sheet music to practice with. If your experienced and don’t want to use it you still should as it gives you millions of different songs. Simply piano also offers you a free tutorial bit to decide if the app is for you. A quick warning: SimplyPiano is money. But it’s worth everything you pay for it. I love SimplyPiano and you will to. Please get it..Version: 8.5.31

Perfect for beginners (and so much cheaper than piano lessons!)I can’t express how much I am enjoying this app. I have always wanted to be able to play the piano and after a couple of months on the app, I find that I can read and play (basic) sheet music! I am a complete beginner and have very little musical talent but have been so many times where I’ve said to myself, “Oh my god, look at me! I’m actually playing the piano.” The app is simple in design and the gamification of it means it’s a joy to play the piano. In addition, the creators regularly add more songs to play and there are some great community challenges you can participate in. I’ve joined the Facebook group, which has provided me with lots of motivation to practise as well as given me a place to ask any questions I have. There are some reviews on here complaining about the price, however, it is significantly cheaper than piano lessons would be. Others critique the lack of theory being taught. Simply piano is not for players who wish to become experts- there are better resources out there for those at more advance levels. However, if you are like me and you want to progress as a beginner to get to a point where you can play the piano for your own enjoyment, then this app is perfect for you..Version: 8.2.4

Great for beginners of all agesGreat app for learning. Huge song selection to learn. My 7year old loves learning and is at the keyboard all the time pushing himself to learn the next chord. I’m really enjoying learning too with the app too. Fully recommend getting a midi adapter adapter for older keyboards that don’t have USB. You’ll need a lightning to USB adapter too. Lots of complaints about the price, taking people by surprise, but it is fully worth the money. No need for a piano teacher!.Version: 8.2.3

Amazing app that keeps you motivatedThis app is especially good with a digital piano and a midi connection, this makes the note recognition 100% accurate which is fantastic. One suggestion, if there could be a “concert” mode where it follows along with your playing like in standard listen mode, but is forgiving on some levels of mistake such that you can hit one or two wrong notes and the app accepts it as a valid note and continues along with the song. I like to use the listen mode all the time so the music scrolls along at the right pace, but when I inevitably hit a wrong note it force me re hit the correct key. That’s fine when practicing, but when playing a piece for someone else it throws out the song timing, it would be better if it just continued along as if I had played the correct note. You could maybe make it continue along if you’re out by one note, or one key wrong in a chord etc. Other than that I guess adding more new songs more frequently would be my other request, but overall this is a 5 star app all the way!.Version: 8.9.14

Read before you purchase app!I think it’s good to warn people that whilst this app is awesome and is fantastic at teaching piano, that sometimes the app does not recognise notes accurately. The solution to this for many people has been to buy a midi adapter and connect it to their keyboard (as said in this Facebook community). This is something the app developers should work on and fix so people with pianos (not keyboards) can still use the app for every song and trust that the app will work effectively. However besides this bug, this app truly is fantastic. I used to play piano for 7 years as a kid and always struggled at sight reading and now as an adult have picked up the hobby again and am loving it. The app is training me to sight read - something I loathed and struggled with as a kid with an awesome teacher..Version: 8.2.4

The only thingYou are in a good place to be safe and you can always call me to let me know when you’re back in town so you can get a good day and I will be back in the next week or two weeks after you are done with the day off you go.Version: 8.9.23

It’s a good appIt’s a good app, and I really like it, but sometimes it doesn’t pick up the notes. I guess that’s normal since it’s just an app and it doesn’t have really good ears like us humans. But anyways it’s a fun app, but I do still get frustrated because I really don’t think instruments are my thing, but it is important to play one in life so I chose piano. I just get frustrated because I miss like 3 notes while playing a song and get put back. It’s a bit annoying. Also on the notes for like a normal lesson or practice it won’t show the number of the note above it sometimes so I don’t know which one I’m supposed to press so I guess it expects me to memorize it but I forgot cause I have essentials || in my head now and like a bunch of other stuff so I forgot essentials |. But it’s a good app. I just don’t like the hard songs and all the stuff I’m supposed to remember :( I just like playing the easy fun songs just for fun or making up my own and just playing with it. But it’s fun and I’ve learned a few fun songs. So that’s what I think about this app..Version: 8.9.15

It is greatI only started this app a few hours ago and I already know so much it is amazing. I love how they gave me a little survey at the start and it asks stuff like my experience playing and what type of songs I would like to learn. To any parent's that are thinking of downloading this for there kid, than do it because it is fun to learn. I definitely recommend. But I do think that they could add one thing, maybe they could add a little video at the beginning on how to use the app. I mean it is easy to use but there could be little kids using the app that do not exactly get it but I guess that there parents could help them. Any ways it is an good app to use and thank you for taking your time to read my review on this. I hope every one has a good day 😁😄👍🐠🎹.Version: 8.5.20

Very Useful and CuteI really do love this app! It’s cute and useful and it’s designed beautifully. The lessons are good for beginners and it’s easy to use. The only reason why it falls short of five stars is for two reasons: the fact it doesn’t register the audio of my keyboard very well and makes me do practice mode even if I’m hitting the correct keys and that since the keyboard used in the app is 49 keys long and mine is 61, the placement of where my hands are aren’t the same as on the app. For the last thing, I know it’s out of my control the number of keys on the keyboard, but it would definitely be easier if there was a setting you could change where you could say how many keys your keyboard is. The way the app sets you up to learn is by your thumb being 1 and your index finger being 2 and so on, and on my keyboard it’s in a very uncomfortable and awkward position to play in and I bet the people who are in the same position as me can agree. Also, I have tried turning my phone’s volume down and the things the app suggests but it still tends to be a bit glitchy. Other then the two little things the app is good at what it does and I recommend it for beginners :).Version: 7.2.8

Simply Piano is great! ( true review )If you’re looking for a review that tells the truth, I suggest you look here, I saw way too many ads for me to not to get simply piano. I really wanted to learn piano and I would play the same songs everyday that I learnt off a video but when I got this app I could play a whole variety of songs! I got simply piano and my parents were unsure because the price was pretty high for a year. They thought it wouldn’t be worth it. I started and well what do you know. I can play everything! There are challenges, songs, and a whole library where you can search up any songs and it will be there ( popular songs ) all I’m saying is get this immediately if you are looking to learn piano. Make sure you get a keyboard or piano before you play. Thank you simply piano! I will never forget my time on this app..Version: 8.9.8

Good gameI love the game it’s epic and so fun learning piano although I already know the tunes such as Beethoven one. The game teaches u loads the videos are good guides and tutorials A thing is that I don’t have the subscription and u have to pay just to learn a tune like people can’t pay for it and people don’t want to pay just for a tune they may not be able to afford it so maybe u could plz either lower the price or just put it free because people say what kind of thing they like and want to learn like you just have to play the tune once and that’s it people want to do what they enjoy I have so much to explain about this but I just can’t but I hope u see this and do something about this From the piano CEO.Version: 9.5.13

Love it!I have just started learning the piano using Simply Piano just three days ago after years and years of delaying. I’m now 28, knew zilch about sheet music/chords/keys and I know how to play a few basic songs now! I love how the app really goes step by step. Anyone can benefit. Highly recommend!.Version: 8.5.13

Good app but can’t do muchI downloaded this app so I could learn how to play the piano but when I found out it cost money to play single song I was devastated because this was the best app/thing I have ever used to play the piano. My hand was cramping for the first song thing but then when I realised I couldn’t play the song I felt like I had just wasted my time..Version: 8.6.9

Awesome funI have played the piano from an early age but taught myself. I started this app from the basic level and have loved every moment. I just want to go on and on playing. Lessons are simple and intuitive and really fun. Love the way it is set out. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to learn the piano. Side note: I am dumbfounded when I read some of the negative reviews where people have complained about having to pay. Do you think this is a charity? Do you complain when you have to pay a tutor? This company is charging rightly for a service! Why would you expect to pay nothing when the company has invested time and money to provide an excellent product? Seriously ridiculous..Version: 6.0

I love this appOne of my 2020 goals was to learn the piano. I started using this app at the end of last year. Now I am playing and singing songs! And I’ve finally been able to learn and remember the notes on the bass clef!!! The lessons are well structured and scaffold your learning to build up your ability and confidence. I LOVE the beta section. Great selection of songs across many genres. I love that they are displayed in sheet music form, but you have the option to learn each section separately before going back to playing using the sheet music which helps you develop your skills reading sheet music. I also love the Facebook community. Great way to get support when stuck or share your successes. Impressed that the developers are regular contributors in the group, too. They listen to feedback and I love their video tutorials. I highly recommend this app. Well worth the $$..Version: 8.2.1

Really bad-DO NOT DOWNLOAD-its the worst game about piano:(I liked the game at first but then when i got to the full song on there i had to spend lots of money! This is a scam game!do not install this app!if you can put 0 in this I’d put a 0!id give it a 5 star if you would make it free!i am still super mad about this though! You actually have to spend money for this!its horrible and i am disappointed about that happening!i say make it free!when i finished the G Notes i had to pay 164$but i don't have money so this app is the worst!i hate it so much! That price got me frustrated because my dad would not get it!please lower the price to this: 3 months should be 10$,6 months should be 16$, and 12 months should be 22$ only.i am super frustrated and if not lowering the price this is going away to the delete button. >:(.Version: 8.5.22

The best paino app everItsiiss.Version: 8.8.2

AwsomeI am only 11 and I have this app on my iPad. It is amazing how you can learn piano that quickly! I had no experience with piano, but with simply piano I could play my favourite songs! Even without the full year you can still learn lots with the first lesson!.Version: 8.2.2

First ever app reviewI had to write this review because Simply Piano has helped me achieve what I didn’t think I could do. I’m a 43 year old that has never learned a musical instrument or how to read music. I’ve now been using the app for just on 7 weeks (maybe 4 hours or so a week) and can play with both hands and read and play songs like ‘Over the Rainbow’ and ‘Perfect’. The app really builds you up from the basics in a way that is achievable and confidence-building. Although the available songs are a bit poppy for my tastes, there are plenty of fun classics for children and oldies alike. If you ever have put off learning piano (or an instrument) because of fear of failure give this app a try. Use the free version for a week and then decide. The 174 Australian dollar investment for an annual subscription is paying itself off after 7 weeks. Happy playing!!.Version: 8.9.2

1 reason why I like and dislike Simply Piano.Hi! I’m here today to tell you why I like and dislike your piano learning app called Simply Piano. 1: I really like how it teaches kids, and parents how to do their dream of being a piano SuperStar! It’s so amazing! I love seeing my kids smile playing the piano everyday. I don’t have to force them to learn, they just go on it everyday! It fills me with joy. Thank you for making this app. 2: I don’t really like how you have to pay money to play the songs. I mean my kids can’t play songs but they learn everyday. Please do an upgrade, so that people that want to learn their favourite songs, can do their favourite songs. But pass that aside we have some happy things to think about! Thank you for making this app! 💖 From your lover, Amy. PS. Please make another app like this! ❤️.Version: 8.5.20

PLS READ Perfect at first, now RegretI have seen thousands of ads about this app and I decided to try this for myself when I got it I immediately fell in love with it . it was everything I expected and a better . It was perfection . But then I started learning chords on the piano . It taught me well but when I played it on the piano it kept saying I was wrong, even when I was playing it correctly . All 3 or 4 keys at the same time with the same amount of force and at the right keys and position. It even shows me where on the piano I'm supposed to play the chords . But no it kept saying I was wrong and it wouldn't let me move on . And when I was actually wrong it said I was right . this mainly happens when I'm using both my left and right hand to play chords . If I'm playing the right cords with my right hand but the wrong key with my left hand then it says I'm right . Now I purposely played the wrong chords to see if it says I'm right and it did . We payed a YEAR trial for this app and I have already sent a message about a month ago and never got an reply . I haven't been playing for longer than a month now, and I'm PAYING for this . If you can't fix this then at least give me my money back . Thank you ..Version: 6.3

Great, but one issue.Hello, there is an issue I have been experiencing with this app. When I play one note, it thinks that the note I am playing is another note. It makes using the app quite difficult. Also, all of the videos it makes you watch, are all with a piano. I use a keyboard, and it doesn’t have as many keys as a piano. Please fix this, and I will be able to go back to using it regularly. 🙂.Version: 8.2.15

Amazing!!This app teaches me how to learn songs after every note faster and easier than my real piano teacher dead.Version: 8.2.13

Good appI am a kid so I don’t have much money. So my piano teacher recommended simply piano and I begged my parents for it. And they were like: sure if you use it so I tried it and it’s a really good app and all those people who gave it a 1 star rating are being a bit harsh but when I got to the lessons it was really boring how long the stages were and I ended up just playing the songs and the stages were way to easy for me and still are even tho I’m on intermediate 3 so maybe make the stages shorter but otherwise I really like it..Version: 9.3.2

WayneI love the piano and have always wanted to learn how to play yet it has evaded me for 40 years. However, under Coronavirus lockdown, it was my intention to use this app as an introduction to piano for my children and despite their limited interest, I am hooked. It’s been just 10 days since I started and already I am playing along with much loved pop music tracks, hardly note perfect but the practice modes which break up and slow down the piece work well for me. Having covered the essentials I have unlocked a catalogue of pieces of music I can play along to, many of which have been simplified to suit my level of ability. This app is helping me to achieve a life long ambition and I can’t get enough of it, much to the dismay of my wife 😉 😂. Oh and I have not had any issues with the software identifying the notes which I play, if anything I am quite impressed with the accuracy..Version: 8.2.4

AwesomeHi, I downloaded this app and at first I was a bit bummed as you had to pay to do more but then my mum decided I can do it and the premium is amazing! I’m having so much fun🙃 The only thing that bugged me was that the purchase did not show up for a bit and I had to contact simply piano because the premium had not shown yet but I think it was a bug so other than that simply piano is a wonderful app 😊👍.Version: 8.6.7

Love the game butFirst of all, this app is amazing, it really helps you about your basics and learning something new about music. I love this app but the thing is. Whenever I play my music, the chords and the singular notes not really doesn’t work. I’m saying that whenever I play correctly but sometimes, the iPad or the app can’t really translate it. Other than that this is app is very good but for now, I’ll leave this with 4 stars..Version: 9.2.1

Great way to learnI love this app. I downloaded it in March at the beginning of lockdown and try to use it every day. I did learn the piano as a teenager, but found it difficult then and only retained tiny % of that learning. This app made it so easy to learn and now feel confident playing quite fast pieces with both hands. I found it best to go through all the songs available in a level before moving up, as sometimes at the up of a level the skills and muscle memory aren’t quite there. Also the notes down always pick up, but if I turn down volume on the app and keyboard up a touch they pick up fine. This is probably a technical issue on my side, as it does recommend using with headphones. The new addition of the sheet music course is a great idea, as the moving notes is a bit lazy and I was worried about that when moving onto using sheet music. But I’ve tried a few of the songs and I needn’t of worried. Anyway, great app. The cost may seem expensive, but if you feature in the each face to face lesson with a piano teacher would cost you around £20 or more, it’s well worth it!!.Version: 9.0.6

Amazing 1000% worth itI would love to spend 2 hours daily in it. I started with curiosity. My wife bought a piano. She never really used it. I decided to give it a go I purchase the subscription in 2019 now I an finishing intermediate and practicing almost every day..Version: 8.10.1

Great for beginners but needs improvementThis app is great for people who are new and willing to play piano, it gives great step by step, reminders and an amazing list of songs. The problem for me, is that I want to skip the basics because I am already in 4 years of piano so I had to go over the basics and waste 10 minutes just to unlock the songs. Also, I know that simply piano adds songs every week but right now I’m on the 7 free day trial thing so I can’t really try out the new songs, but please add an advanced section because everything is not my level, it’s too easy. I understand that this is a paid app because it easily helps beginners form their journey to become a great pianist, but other people have been reviewing bad ratings because it is paid, and they want it free - I kinda agree but it’s also kinda worth it. I don’t want to be harsh but if simply piano doesn’t add harder songs, I’ll probably delete the app so that means this company will make a bit less money because I was actually expecting more and already planning to pay for the app, but I think I might’ve changed my mind. PLEASE TRY TO ADD SONGS MORE OFTEN! Even though I do know that songs take a while to make, just even 1 new song everyday will make a change. If this updates, I will pay and give it a full rating. Please know that I am actually giving out my personal opinion and how you can make it better, and that it’s actual advice if you want to improve the app..Version: 9.4.4

Questioning This Download Just A TadI’m really sorry to complain, because I can understand that some things aren’t avoidable. But I guess I should jump straight in. So, I downloaded this app after seeing the ad maybe a million times. I open it and I just created an account and a profile. Not bad, right? I do an entire lesson, and I am already learning a lot. Then before I can even finish it, it offers me the subscription. I just x-ed out of it thinking that I could just continue without the full version, but no. It won’t let you do ANYTHING. This is so disappointing, because their competitors, Ultimate Guitar are already doing way better. Ultimate Guitar, which has a piano feature, is cheaper and is useable without the subscription. Additionally, the addition of a placement test might be helpful. Other than that, I have no complaints and I would like to congratulate the people at Simply Piano on a successful app, just maybe you all might want to work on making it more affordable and useable in a limited version for those of us not looking to spend $12-$20 a month on an app. (Also, this is coming from an almost 13 year old who asked her parents for this and that said “Absolutely not! That’s the most ridiculous price ever!”).Version: 8.6.6

MUST READ 5⭐️This piano learning app is so amazing because it actually teaches you how to play the piano before you even know it and allows you to play so many songs to keep you entertained as well as showing you on the way some of the piano history that you need to learn to keep interested and grow as your knowledge. Even if you already know how to play the piano with so many different courses to learn, it always teaches you even more and keeps you challenging yourself with different songs and levels. I would recommend this app to any child or adult that is looking for a way to entertain themselves, do something useful on their device or find a new hobby, this app is simply the best as well as keeping it’s original name as Simply Piano. Yes, it might have a fee that you need to pay on the journey but it is very worth it as it teaches you way more than you actually think you can learn from an app. This piano app is worth so much as it also gives everyone who plays courage and helping you to actually be proud of yourself and embrace your skills..Version: 8.6.4

Awesome AppThis app has been amazing for our family. We originally bought a 3 month subscription for my 7 year old daughter. By the end of the 3 months our whole family are all into it with their own profiles so we renewed for a year. We all love it and are learning a lot. It is definitely worth the money and I rave about it to everyone!.Version: 8.4.2

Great app but some small problemsThis is an amazing app because it actually teaches you piano but there are some problems . But I’ll talk about the good stuff first, it’s an amazing app and so worth it, usually piano lessons can be really expensive. The simply piano price for a year in the app is really worth it because you can actually learn piano, I really recommend but I have a few minor problems, one problem is that it doesn’t frequently remind you about your posture and and you hands being curved while playing. Another thing is that it always expects you to know how to play the piece almost immediately after only a little practice, so I wish it would give you a little more time because as a beginner it’s a lot to take in. I love this app because there are so many songs to choose and it teaches you all the things you need to know. Overall I REALLY recommend, don’t hesitate buying the subscription because it’s so worth it.Version: 8.8.2

Thank You...Played the Piano, and percussion from like 5-14 years old.. then nothing after that.. 42 now.. forgot all music reading and was always too intimidated to learn again.. didn’t have $25 to shell out a week for lessons nor the time with my career and two little kids.. stumbled across simply piano one weekend w my out of tune acoustic piano.. a week later I had the full digital set up w a Yamaha delivered so I could get the correct feedback from the app.. a week later.. life changing.. I’ve always had music in my head and wanted to be able to just play along with songs and read music... this app is amazing.. with patience and lots of repetition it’s all coming back to me.. I never would have got this with lessons because I don’t have the time.. going at my own speed at 5am before work 30 minutes... I couldn’t be happier now.. Piano is meditation.. if your not present when you are playing it can go south quick... lol... looking forward to the process... enjoying every moment of the journey back... thank you Simply Piano.. you’ve created pure magic into people’s lives...!! 💪🏽❤️🎹👍🏽.Version: 8.0.2

Terrific starting pointI auditioned a number of learn piano apps — like Goldilocks looking for the right fit. Simple Piano’s design and personality struck the right chord. (The music wordplay just writes itself here, folks!) I pair my app lessons with some heavier theory learning found in a Hal Leonard book for adult beginners. And after four weeks, I able to read basic sheet music and play tunes that actually sound something like the source material. It’s amazing. What really makes this app shine are all the little gamification surprises unlocked with a subscription. All of which keeps you engaged and motivated to continue learning. You get weekly theory emails and practice pieces. There’s a smattering of digital sheet music to noodle with. A holiday music challenge opened up to tie in with season. And now I progressed far enough to access their PLAY beta - a real-time feedback sheet music library that grows each week, and features tunes from a wide array of styles. Will it replace traditional lessons with a teacher? No. But if you’re goal is to get familiar with this beautiful instrument and make music, you can’t go wrong with downloading this gem..Version: 8.5.3

I like it.It goes a little fast but that might just be me..Version: 8.2.3

THE BEST WAY TO LEARN PIANO!Hi SimplyPiano crew’ I love this app I have learnt so much and I am really looking forward to being able to show my friends and family I personally think that the app dose need some changes such as learning multiple songs at a time but I understand that not everyone wants that right?….. ok anyway I would definitely get the app I love it and I am addicted to it it has been the first thing I do when I get my iPad because I love seeing that there are apps that actually help you with it not just telling you what the notes are but it’s practise instead of having to learn it all by yourself!! So if your reading this and you don’t have the app then I would get it if I was you🎅🏻 Santa says so.Version: 8.8.2

AMAZING! One little concernWow! Simply Piano is AMAZING!!! It is awesome! This app is perfect or any age which is great! Do you love Taylor Swift? Yes or no you can find any artist or song! If you can’t find a song you can request your song or artist when you try to look it up. I have been using Simply Piano for about 2 years now. It has kept me company in lockdown and any time. Anyone out there who wants to learn an instrument PICK PIANO!!! Piano is an awesome instrument to get you started! I really hope you choose it :). One little thing that I picked up though… sometimes when you are in a lesson or playing a song it will pick up random sounds and will think it was you. It isn’t that bad but in songs it will really throw me off. Thank you for creating this app!!! :D.Version: 8.6.4

AMAZING! But one suggested.( ◠‿◠ ) I loveeee this app. It’s amazing for all levels of piano players. I’m only 10, and I started about a year ago, but then my keyboard broke, and I got a new one for Christmas , and completely started over, now I just finished Essentials 3. But anyway, here is my suggestion, caould you make it so we can skip the reminder? I just started Intermediate 1, and I have to do left hand reminder, right hand reminder, left hand flash cards, right hand flash cards. And I JUST finished Essentials 3, and it’s so annoying when I already know all them, it is useful when you haven’t played in a week, but not if it’s five minutes after you finished the previous stage. But overall I would HIGHLY recommend getting this app, if your seven or up, I think it would be good, my little brother who is six, is struggling, but that’s not the app. I think smaller kids just don’t have the attention spand to play it. But if you have a keyboard or piano, and, well it’s COVID. So you can’t really get lessons, download this app! Though, you do have to pay money to unlock all the courses, you get to play the beginner course, and the payment isn’t really unreasonable for what the app gives. Over all, I give two thumbs up 👍 👍.Version: 8.8.2

AwfulI went on to it, thinking I could learn some songs I’d wanted to play. It said by the end of the course I would get to play perfect, by Ed Sheeran. First it showed me the first five notes. I’m already on grade 1 piano so it was easy, but I played it anyway, so I could get to the actual songs. When I finally got to the song it told me I had to pay £6.99 a month just to play that song! AND when I was doing the basic five finger exercises it kept telling me I was playing it wrong when I clearly wasn’t. This app is FAR to expensive and very awful, as it tells you you get it all wrong when it’s obvious you don’t. Try the app if you like but if you aren’t prepared to pay lots of money you are wasting your time..Version: 8.1.1

This app changed my life, please read.Oh my God, I can’t believe how much this app has changed my life. To be honest, when I just saw the ad for this app, it said that one day benefit better. After a month… After a year… And I was like, I’ll download it, but only because I know it’s not gonna work. (If that makes sense) so I downloaded it! And I thought in my head, it’s just an app it’s not gonna teach me how to play. And after one day, I had already learned piano basics! I was really surprised. And, for Christmas, I got a really great present. My mom bought the one year subscription for this app! I’ve only been playing for a week now and I already know how to sight read. You might be thinking, how did this change my life? Allow me to explain… So I take voice classes, and I do voice competitions. End of this year, I could only be in the competition if I knew how to play piano. And I could proudly say that I can play piano, things to this app. Honestly, I don’t know what I would do if this app didn’t exist. I cannot explain how grateful I am for this app. It sparked a new passion in me, and now I can do so much more. To the creators, if you’re reading this, thank you so much for making this path. I just… I’m so grateful. Thank you thank you thank you! To everyone else that’s reading this… Get. This. App. Right. Now!.Version: 9.3.6

Comment from a seniorThis learning program has been fantastic for me. As an older person ,77,I did not think it would be for me. However I’ve loved the selection of areas in which you can make progress. I started just prior to the lockdown so it has been an opertune -excuse the pun - time to make gains. Some more introduction advice would have been useful but I can now find my way around the areas available which provide great variety..Version: 8.2.5

Really well done!I really wanted to learn the Piano, and I’d seen ads for this app, so I decided to give it a go. I paid for the year, and was so pleasantly surprised at how fun the lessons are. Usually when I start things, I find it hard to keep going, but I keep wanting to come back and practice with the app! Thank you so much! Would highly recommend..Version: 8.1.1

Cool app, would be cool to see features addedI played piano a little bit but never well as a kid, my boyfriend plays really well and has a keyboard that connects easily via bluetooth to the app which is awesome. I LOVE the play section that unlocks after a few courses , it would be cool to be able to isolate hands with feedback while looking at the sheet music. Sometimes it’s nice to practice at my own pace but with the feedback that you have hit the right notes. It would be cool if you did offer a reasonable monthly subscription, I did email about this but the price was £25 per month , in the end i’ve paid for 6 months and will hopefully get my money’s work and see if i need a few more months or not after that or if i can just buy a book once i have refreshed sheet music. If it was a monthly £8 like netflix i’d be more willing to commit to it rather that the full amount coming out at once. Overall it’s super fun and i like the style of the app more than the others I tested out in terms of how it teaches how to read. The design of the app is modern compared to others too! But yeah defo needs to be able to isolate hands for the play section at least!.Version: 8.5.30

This is the best! Download simply piano todayI know lots of songs already by the first hour and even my cousin loves it. She has an account too, but this is a bit expensive when u like, get it for good. This is so good but one thing. I really wish u would give us the choice to play anything on touch screen so I don’t always have to play on the piano cuz I’m not always with it. Apart from that, so good! The best!😁.Version: 8.9.11

SimplyPianoHi its me, I have been playing piano with amazing teachers for 5 years and I wanted to be challenged at home with piano as well. I was very exited to try this app, but after I re-learned C D E F and G I was this close to playing my chosen song when the app then tells me that to play songs I have to pay over 100$ a month to play all of my favourite songs. I gave this app 5 stars for trying so hard to make the perfect app and for coming so close to it. I just think to make it easier to get lots more people to get the app, I think its a nice idea to make the monthly fee to play all of your favourite songs a little bit cheaper, perhaps around 5-$15 is a reasonable price. In conclusion I would strongly recommend this app to younger children that have never played piano before and are willing to pay a monthly fee to play songs..Version: 8.9.1

AwesomeAwesome but you have to pay Totally worth it though.Version: 8.2.3

Fantastic app - a few suggestionsI’ve had a really fun time learning piano for the first time using this app, so thank you to the developers on an amazing product! It’s hands down the best premium app out right now and I think it’s worth the cost (considering how expensive actual piano lessons are). I only have 2 suggestions/small criticisms: - You really do need to use a USB/Lightning cable camera adapter otherwise the app will confuse some keys it hears (usually one octave higher). I only discovered this by doing a google search - so maybe you could put this information somewhere in your app? It seems a lot of people are having this issue as well. - This might be a personal preference, but after a couple of courses, the finger numbers above the notes started to really confuse me, and I would have much rather preferred the notes themselves above the keys from the start so I could learn properly. Maybe this could be a setting to change according to preference? Other than that, perfect app. I’ve recommended to family and friends :).Version: 8.2.5

Fun but ragingSo I chose the blue path, and when I was trying to play somewhere over the rainbow, it legit wouldn’t show the notes and when I tried again it somehow thought I needed to play the 16 steps again before playing the song. Developers, if you read this, please respond and PROMISE me you’ll make it so if you’ve already completed the steps and are on the song and you exit or it glitches, you don’t have to go through complicated and long steps. I JUST WANTED TO MOVE ON, ITS NOT THAT HARD, THANKS FOR NOTHING. Besides from that, I recommend you Simply Piano. It gives you a very confident boost and a very good start. Even if your just doing Simply Piano for fun, and you don’t want to learn anything, you are. I’m up to F position, I take piano lessons, but none as good as virtual lessons. Well, technically, I do have virtual lessons because of the big fad sickness, COVID-19, but I mean not talking to anyone or being corrected to harshly or having homework. Oh, the homework is a bonus. Well, in my opinion I have homework from an APP, but that’s just me. And if you want homework from Simply Piano, try everyday at 3:30 reading sheet music. Anyhow, very good confident start, and I hope you respond to my raging. This is getting pretty long so imma end it here. But listen to me..Version: 8.5.5

It’s okThere are sooo many adds about this app saying that it is free, it is not free because you have to pay huge prices for just one app. I really wanted to download this app and was really exited but once I downloaded it it asked me to pay? But the thing I really like about this app is it actually listens to you play and at the start once you first download it, it lets you learn three notes even if you didn’t pay and also play two short songs. I really want to use this app everyday but I can’t because it’s my dad who has to pay. I’ve asked him quite a phew times for this app but he says there’s too many adds on it and costs way to much for just a piano app. I agree because it is just one app? I understand that it has a really good rating and actually teaches you really well and that’s why I WANT IT!! But I can’t. Maybe you could put the prices down a little bit and don’t make there as many adds! Thank you.Version: 8.6.0

Great but can be frustratingI have enjoying using this to learn to play piano, and it has greatly healed, but as someone who has musical experience this app creates an major issue for me. As I am playing the practice pieces and the notes will also play of what I am to play, they are always a beat behind when I am supposed to play. This creates a major challenge when trying to learn something new as you are now having to not only focus on the positions/notes/rhythms being taught, but you are also having to use part of your focus to try and ignore the same melody you are trying to play being played a beat behind you. For me this is causing me to constantly mess up as I keep trying to play with the beat playing which puts me behind in my tempo, or it causes me to completely mess up a portion because i am trying to play what I see while hearing a different melody playing which ends up confusing me. It’s not bad once you know and understand what you are playing, but as a beginner piano player, this is very challenging and honestly becomes very frustrating when I keep messing up simple parts because I am hearing what I should be playing also playing in my ear a beat behind..Version: 8.5.20

THE BEST!It’s been a few hours and I already can play with both hands! I’m a kid and I thought this would be a challenge (it’s my first time playing piano) but this app made it so simple! Hence the name simply piano! I am shocked how far this app has got me, I can sort of ready sheet music, but that’s fine because I’ve only been playing for a few hours! I really recommend this app to anybody! You’re never too old or young to play. It gives help to anyone. If you’re a beginner, experienced pianist, or you know a bit or anyone! This is the app FOR YOU!.Version: 8.5.7

I LOVE IT 😻Okay so i used to have this app and you used to have to pay if I can remember correctly. Then as an advert came up I said “I think I remember this App”. So I thought well I can’t remember what is wrong with this so I re-download it and then just as I was downloading I remembered what was wrong with it but I decided well let’s just see if it’s changed and it has changed you don’t have to have a subscription and it really helps with the keyboard I done a 10 minute workout and then a five minute workout in the end I was brilliant and I was trash in the beginning I love this app. I really recommend getting this app! 😃😄😁😆😀🤩🤪🥳😜😝😛😋. Now I’m going to go back on the app and practice some of my keyboard 🎹..Version: 8.2.13

Amazing :)After watching some of the simply piano ads, I thought that there was no way that ANYONE could learn from just an app. But, however, back then I was wrong, I got SimplyPiano and it actually taught me! I was so impressed. Now piano has become my favourite thing to do. I am actually really good at piano now, and so I thank you guys for that..Version: 8.9.25

Best app everThis app was good but when I first joined I had some glitches with vip. When I wanted the vip it didn’t give it to me and it had already taken my money. Then when I started to play I learnt my first song so fast this app is highly recommended to little kids and adults I am only 10 years old and I have been playing this app since I was 5 years old so 5 years now. I love this app so much it’s the best. The first song I played on simply piano was a classic all time favourite it was thunder. This song got me to learn the piano so fast. But again I had to sign up for some vip that happend 5 years ago and it is still telling me that. But luckily I have vip and have beenlpving this app. If you get this app make sure if you want to by vip wait a bit till you have done your tutorial and have played a few songs first then by the vip. And when I say vip I mean primiuem. So yeah this app is the beat. Thx so much for making it I hope you can make a app for the people who don’t have a piano but still wants to play it..Version: 8.1.1

Dyslexic help pleaseHey so I have dyslexia, and it was really really hard for me to learn how to read when I was younger and I’m experiencing the same thing with learning the piano and that’s why I never learned it when I was younger and stop taking lessons and this app has really helped in a lot of areas and it’s almost perfect but please I really really beg of you simply piano team to put in a one color line somewhere in the notes to help differentiate line 3 and five out of the others because my eyes and mind gets so so confused on where the note actually is especially now that I am in essentials 2 and there’s way more notes now if you could have that toggle feature somewhere I would really really appreciate it doesn’t have to be a drastic difference it just Has to be enough difference for my mind to not start scrambling all the lines in notes together into one and to create some contrast and if you could change it also to the finger position having the letter next to the number too if you could have that as a toggle on and off that would should be a tremendous help because I really understand where the C and D key are don’t need help anymore with that but the rest I do. would love if it could gradually disappear as I got more comfortable and made the piano 2nd nature.Version: 8.7.5

Really goodSo in 2020 I started doing it at first it was really hard but as I warmed up to it I got really good I had been doing at my nanas house and when I finally got a key board I learned to play all these songs using simply piano I really recommend this app to people trying to learn piano.Version: 9.0.0

Not sure if this happens to anyone else but…Once upon a time, I was doing a piano lesson at school with my piano teacher. One day she showed me the simply piano app, and from the first day I adored it! It was fun, simple and helped me learn a lot more than I was capable to from sheet music, before my piano teacher got the app,I saw the adds and thought, well, it’s not like it’s a really fun, is it? So I would highly recommend downloading it with your piano teacher, as it is quite expensive… However, not every app can be perfect. I’ve read some of the reviews and my one isn’t as bad… But I have anger issues… And either the app isn’t listening or it’s my iPad! I keep playing the correct notes, and it goes to red instead of blue! Like why!? And because of my anger issues, please if it happens to everybody , fix it, otherwise… Give me a good solution. I don’t want to make another hole in my wall. Please answer me! PS. It’s ok if it’s a problem that’s to hard to fix or if your really busy. I think I can live with it, but if you can, can you please fix and answer. Thanks, - Girl that’s just really wants to play piano.Version: 8.7.1

Affordable and interactive!Although I really don’t like all of the songs offered (because my children shouldn’t listen to some of them) I do admit this app has been really great for me personally. I was about to hire a piano teacher and found out it was $50 per session for my little family. If I would have gone through with it, would have been $1200 per year for 2 sessions per month. I came across simply piano randomly while looking for piano lessons online, and after session 1 I decided $150 was way better than $1200. Best part is that after I learn something I can practice what I learn with my children and they in turn can start their practicing on the app separately from mine. If you add up the costs this app is 100% worth it. I do wish they offered more child friendly or non lyrical songs on here. It would be nice to have a choice to learn more classical music vs modern, I’m a woman of faith so it’s hard to listen to some of that stuff. I just turn down the volume and go for it though just to get through. Hoping in the future they are able to offer different options for those who don’t like that music in their home. Modern or Classical options please! I keep reading reviews that comment everything’s expensive for subscription- please read my review again. An actual teacher costs far more!.Version: 8.5.16

It makes me learn a little bitI don’t know but the plans are expensive.Version: 8.2.3

Fun while you learnThis app is perfect if you just want to have a little fun while you learn a new skill. The star system and feedback on notes missed and timing issues mean you can really challenge yourself every time you sit down to play. I don’t think I’m ever going to be a concert pianist but that isn’t the point of this app. After 4 months of practise 3 or 4 times a week I can confidently play along with songs and I’m starting to confidently use sheet music. This is something I would never have achieved just learning from a book. It certainly works well through a midi connection to my IPhone but it also works without, though it isn’t as accurate. I paid for the annual subscription and I’m really glad I did, I can history say I’m not getting bored of this, I suspect I’ll be renewing my subscription next year too. Simply piano is the best decision I’ve made in a long while and has changed my life for the better..Version: 8.2.4

Great AppI think this app is definitely worth getting. Just over $100 dollars for one year is very good value for what it provides. I especially enjoy the sheet music feature, there is so many options and songs to play- each having multiple levels of difficulty. Great app - highly recommended for anyone wanting to learn or continue to learn piano..Version: 9.0.0

Very good app but problems are driving me crazyI started playing piano for two years and a half and I have a teacher that comes to my house but because of the Coronavirus she can’t come and a few weeks later my mum told me too try simply piano I have seen dozens of different ads but I knew the app was for beginners but when she gave me this app I chose the right section for me. This is a great game but the problem is I go bonkers when it doesn’t work that well because sometimes when I do chords it only gets one note from the chord sometimes and also it misses some notes that I play and because of the frustration I sometimes slam my hands of the piano and iPad and start winging but other than all this I think it is a great app and I recommend it too lots of friends and family. Good job :).Version: 8.2.2

UmmmFirst I just want to say, I love this app and it taught me so much but the problem is that whenever I hit a note in a song, it says it's wrong but it isn't. It happens all the time and it's then very hard to make any progress. I should know that I AM hitting the right note because I do Piano lessons and I know how to play Fur Elisa. I hope you can fix the problem because If you can then I will make this 5 Stars. Thanks. Just saying, my piano is tuned and I looked at people in the critical section and they are over reacting and think stupidly. Don't listen to them! It takes a lot of money to make a quality app like this and they are not being grateful for the people who take hours to make this. Simply piano, I give you my full confidence and I predict that soon enough, this will be one of the best apps in the world and all the hate rs are going to be feeling guilty. Sincerely yours, CoolgamerAlex.Version: 8.0.1

Great app, easy to learn, Two hands in hours! This app is great! I used to know one note. Middle C. Now I know the names for heaps of the keys and have learned all my favourite songs. I could play two hands in hours. Now I can read sheet music easy. The music sheet library is handy, and I can look up heaps of songs. Easy to learn with this app, with many courses, through the basics, to the advanced major and minor chords, and the classic playing..Version: 9.1.3

It’s good but is not the bestSo I have learned a bit of piano before, so this was a bit easier for me. I just got through all the essentials and it was good but there were just a few things that frustrated me. In some songs you had to keep playing the same not over and over again and it wouldn’t pick up the sound so it took me awhile to pass it. Honestly with this app it depends how much patience you have with it. Sometimes it works really well and on other parts, not so much. I think there should be more songs, like maybe some more video game songs or something different. I will continue to use this app though and try to learn the most I can from it. It does teach you things and pretty quickly too, but I guess that’s because I used to play like a while ago, and already knew how to do some stuff. For me, it was a good reminder of all the stuff I already learned with my piano teacher. Besides the fact that it couldn’t pick up the sound I was playing sometimes, it was alright. I think if you had the patience to learn the piano, and didn’t care if there were a few flaws with this app, then this would be pretty good..Version: 8.2.3

Been wanting to learn for 14 yearsWhat can I say. I’ve been trying to learn how to play for 14 years. I’m now playing on the 14 year old keyboard I’ve been dreaming of playing. I’m now playing with two hands and can read music. This app is more than worth the money. I’m on a free trial but will defo be signing up. I’ve even brought myself a upgrade. Thank you to the app developers. This is more than easy to follow and I’ve even got three profiles set up for my children to learn in which my 7 and 13 year olds have come on leaps and bounds and can now also read music thanks to this app. I don’t usually write reviews but this is more than worth five mins of my time. I’ve only had the app 5!days and before that I couldn’t even read music or play with two hands. Love this app the best of all time..Version: 8.4.7

It’s good but needs fixingGrowing up I never really was interested in playing instruments, but using this app has really made me motivated to playing the piano and also perform in front of other people too after playing the BETA. Without a doubt one of the most worthwhile apps I’ve used on my iPad. However, one complaint I do have with this app is, when I go to play a song whether it be the BETA or the courses, after I finish the song, it completely crashes and takes me back to the menu screen. This happens 90% of the time. In the BETA this is even more gutting since, it doesn’t tell you how you did before it crashes so you do all that work for pretty much nothing. Please fix this so I can continue to play these songs without this happening..Version: 7.2.8

I LOVE THIS APPI love this app this app is the best for young players and for people with no experience it is very easy to play and I love the song selection ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.Version: 7.2.6

6 Months of PracticingI’ve had the app for 6 months and I can read music and play with both hands which I could not do before! My brother bought me a piano for a birthday present as he knew I wanted to learn and this app has been so good! As soon as I unlocked the sheet music it has been hard to get me to stop playing. It’s amazing how quickly your brain learns the notes etc as I find myself not even thinking when I read the sheet music, I just know what to do. I love it and I love being able to practice whenever I want and not rely on physical lessons. 100% worth it!.Version: 9.3.6

Fantastic learning app!Oh my, this app is amazing! It really helps you learn your piano even of your have never played before, it will help a lot if your not perfect at piano, or just a beginner. I really recommend this for people who haven’t had a lot of experience going to piano teachers, so this app is perfect for those not so good piano players! Amazing and Wonderful app!.Version: 8.10.1

It works for me.I am 67, with no musical talent. A few years ago I tried to learn the piano using a different app, Piano Marvel, and weekly lessons with a teacher. I made a little progress, but after two months I gave up. I had spent a lot of time with the app and practising from sheet music, but my progress was very slow, and getting slower as I was given more difficult (but still elementary) pieces to play. Then the lockdown was imposed so I restarted Piano Marvel, no private lessons of course. I soon remembered why I gave up Piano Marvel. My ear for music is not good enough for that app, I cannot identify and distinguish between chords, nor repeat a pattern of notes from memory. I am sure that to be a good pianist these are basic requirements, absolutely essential for progress to the higher levels. But I am not aiming to be a good pianist, I just want to be able play the piano confidently, read music, accompany songs and enjoy myself. Simply Piano is great fun but challenging, and I love playing along with well known songs as I make progress. I am really glad I found it, since it has been a brilliant way to spend the lockdown..Version: 8.2.6

Amazing app 100%recommend!I got this app for my nine-year-old daughter Maggie, I was dubious about whether I would get my money‘s worth but was incredibly surprised and delighted when she is still completely committed three months later and playing at a standard I never would have believed so quickly! The app takes beginners in a fun way with great modern songs through learning the basics of piano, starting simple and building with two hands very quickly, sharps, flats and chords. It’s super interactive, never boring, lots of Gamification and reward, but also checks in regularly that the students can read from straightforward sheet music. It’s a joy to watch her progress and she loves it! I wish this app had been around when I was learning piano 30+ years ago!!.Version: 8.9.8

100% recommend you download!!This app actually helps kids/teenagers/adults learn how to play piano. At first I hadn’t known whether this was a good choice but within the first day I had known how to read mild music. It’s offers are unbelievable and completely awesome. I also completely love how after long breaks have been taken it gives you the option to back track. After about a month of a little break as I was busy I had decided to check SimplyPiano again and play for a little while. I had picked up everything as if I hadn’t stopped. SimplyPiano helped so much with the process. I played for so long tonight, I was addicted it’s so awesome. SimplyPiano not only teaches how to read music but offers to play it for you before you get your chance. To help with timing of specific notes. It’s a complete help and I really hope that anybody who really wants something to help them learn complex piano will consider this app. I don’t understand how everybody is upset because you need to pay. IT IS WORTH IT! SimplyPiano is one of those apps where paying is the least you can do!.Version: 8.5.23

AwesomeSuper awesome app!! Very helpful and fun! The only thing I would say is that it can be a bit too fast when you in the beginning of a level and you get to the point where you have to play with the music and voice for the first time because some songs are pretty fast. Other than that I love this app!.Version: 4.11.1

This is an excellent AppThe new family accounts are great. Check the reviews. Most poor ones are about people making the purchases by mistake. Not a reflection on the app... and tbh... still a lot cheaper than going to lessons; or if you still want that 1-1 tuition this will help you progress faster so the tutor can spend time teaching the finesse to playing. A great app..Version: 7.0.2

This is the way to learn piano! Why? Because it’s super fun and it’s easy to learn! U can learn so many popular songs like dance monkey or a classical song like fur Elise. That’s why it’s AWESOME! And people are making so much of a big deal about price, well I think it’s totally worth the money. It’s a lot faster than a tutor. Well I spent a little to long on the piano everyday but it’s fun!😄😄.Version: 8.1.1

Love this app, from an 11yoHello! So as a kid I used to be really passionate about piano, but I didn’t know how to play. I didn’t have a piano in my house, but I would always fiddle around the the one my grandma had. She thought me how to play things like Old McDonald and Heart and Soul, and I was pretty good. Soon, she got me my own keyboard which I really thank her for. However, I had no idea how to play the piano except for the songs that I had only memorized! I remembered an ad that I saw for this app, and immediately downloaded it. I finished the basics course and I was very excited, but then I realized there was nothing I could do for free. I convinced my mom to buy the 1 year membership, and I’m so happy I did! Because even though it’s kind of expensive, it definitely works awesome. The only problems I have is that 1) sometimes if I want to sing along to what I’m playing, it picks up my voice instead of they keys and marks it as wrong, and 2) if I’m not wearing headphones with my IPad, it will pick up the noises from the music and instantly get it right even if I didn’t play anything. Those are just minor problems, though. I LOVE THIS APP!.Version: 8.5.6

Absolutely superbI’m so impressed by this piece of software, I’ve tried learning the piano a number of times on my own and always found trying to say enthusiastic really hard. By contrast I’ve been using this for a month now and I’m already years ahead of my previous attempts. The way it builds up the steps needed to play each song, and the way it gradually increases the number of notes and positions is very cleverly done. I do highly recommend users buy a midi compatible piano/keyboard and suitable iPad adaptor, my pianos a good 10 years old and the iPad USB 3 adaptor works great with it. The midi interface drastically improved my experience and means every note I play is now recognised, allowing me to aim for 3 stars in the songs section without the frustration of it missing notes I did actually play. However, the mic listening feature is definitely great as a starting point, without it I wouldn’t have been pulled in by such a great app..Version: 5.0

Team Work makes the Dream workI Personally Believe Simply Piano is Spectacular! It is a fun way of learning some exotic songs and learn some helpful tips and tricks along the way. The only thing that disappointed me is it doesn’t always read the note I played and I have 4 years of experience with a piano so they say you learn how to play in a couple of days but I found it took a little longer to gain experience. Thank you soooooooooo much Simply Piano! This past few months I have improved immensely! This app intrigues me, Inspires me and encourages me to play more. I have achieved a SPECTACULAR Goal, of being able to play “Over the Rainbow” I have always wanted to have sharp skills and be able to play authentic songs! I Love this app!!! #SimplyPiano.Version: 7.2.8

Great app!Hi! Just wanted to reach out and leave a review on your app! First off, IT’S AMAZING. Before SimplyPiano, I had tried many different piano classes but they were always way too complicated and I never really got the hang of it. Then (after hearing dozens of ads about it) I decided to try SimplyPiano! It’s so easy to start learning, with instant feedback, lessons, video tips, and of course the spacious song library and the sheet music section, Play. SimplyPiano has really helped me to become confident in my music skills! Overall it’s amazing! But... there are a few simple things that could change and then I would change my rating to 5 stars: 1. Fixing the bugs (yes there are heaps that I have noticed) 2. PLEASE MAKE THE APP LOAD FASTER (I know this may be tricky but, honestly, when I only have 5 minutes of piano time, it nearly takes up 3/4s of the time actually loading up!) 3. Please, please make an actual update log! This sounds stupid but I am someone who loves looking at the latest update logs, but with SimplyPiano‘s, it always says the SAME thing all the time (since the big redesign). This is such a small one but it would help so that people like me know what’s actually new, not just some reoccurring ‘template‘ all the time. That’s if for now! I’ll probably edit this as I think of more stuff to add, but... Thanks for making this great app, and if you could fix all the minor issues I listed before it would definitely be a 5 star rating!.Version: 9.1.10

Great appSeems a bit expensive compared to many apps but it is well worth it in comparison to the price of piano lessons! Me and my 9 year old boy are really enjoying it. Practice whenever and loads of songs to go at once you get the first few notes down. It really is teaching us piano and it’s fun too. Up to five people can share the same app and pay just once. Great app well worth the money. One suggestion, it would be good to have a flash card option from the main screen to make it easier to practice, and also something to help learn the note names, not just where the notes are on the keyboard. This is more transferable to other instruments if the notes names are consolidated. Can you do Simply cello please! 😀.Version: 8.9.2

Amazing app to learn Piano!!You can get the 7 Day Trial for free and then it’s $120 for the whole year. Just cancel the day before the subscription starts so you don’t pay. Remember, piano teachers charge up to $30/hour. I’ve already played for 3 hours. You’re saving a TON of money getting this app. If you want free lessons, go on YouTube. This app has a ton of lessons. Someone had to put all their time and effort creating this for us so of course they’re going to want compensation for that. $120 a year is $10/month for all the lessons, so get over it and do it! It’s simple to use, a wide variety of songs and great teaching technique. Best one hands down. I’ve tried Yousician and as easy as it was to use, you don’t learn the notes like you do in this app. The song variety and leveling structure for this app is fantastic..Version: 6.2

AmazingThis app is amazing and is perfect for beginners. it's amazing practise and makes the piano easy to learn.Version: 4.11.1

4 and a half 🙂🙂🙂This app makes piano very easy to learn and you don’t have to pay but sometimes it goes a little to fast and it gets pretty hard in the beginning but I very much like and appreciate this app because it’s makes piano so much easier from the comfort of my own home and I can take a break whenever I’d like! I recommend this app to anyone who has seen and played piano you do not need to know how to play but you need to know what to expect. And for goodness sake please do not play Christmas songs that is out of my opinion just play them from your phones!🤩😊.Version: 9.0.1

I’m forgetting about getting piano lessons now!Ok so if you are like me and have been looking for someone around your area that teaches piano but they are too overpriced or you simply just can’t find anyone who is professional enough please just stop and get this app. It’s only like $10 USD a month and teaches skills much faster than finding an expensive piano teacher who will just keep teaching you the basics for months. This is like my 5th or so day playing and I’m surprised to say I can already read sheet music very well and I’m already playing whole songs with both hands. Don’t listen to the reviews that are complaining about the fact that this costs any money at all because this is teaching things that you would usually have to pay a TON more to learn. It is incredibly cheap and works wonders. Like I said, stop waisting your time looking for piano teachers because this app will probably teach you better than a teacher could believe it or not. 100% 5 stars!! I wish I could give more!! I am so thrilled that I can finally play my piano after years of wishing I could!! I definitely see myself using this app for years instead of ever getting in person lessons!!! Never been so satisfied with an app in my life there are like no flaws!!!! :D Happy piano playing! ❤️❤️❤️.Version: 8.7.2

I love it butttHello this app is amazing and very much worth the money I love it but I think that you should allso get a real person to teach you if you are wanting to be more of a professional pianist! I recommend it so so much you really should get it it does teach you everything about piano lessons but if you put that you have experience playing the piano then it will not teach you basics because it thinks you now how but if you put that you have no experience at all then it will teach you the basics and some songs I think you should get the app it is so cool.Version: 8.2.5

I’m enjoying the app BUT...I’m enjoying using this app and use it every morning as part of my daily routine. The progress is is good in that I feel challenged but never overwhelmed, lessons are presented in a simple and intuitive manner to make sessions productive and fun. My main complaint however is that the microphone often struggles to hear when I’m playing correctly, particularly in lessons requiring 4 or more notes to be played simultaneously. I’ve turned up my piano and turned down the app but still find myself repeating sections I’ve actually managed correctly because the app didn’t pick up what was being played. I have subscribed to the service as I do feel for now that it’s a well designed course and useful to me as a newcomer to this instrument. I’m just really hoping that a future update will be able to rectify this issue sooner rather than later. So recommended app though be prepared for a little frustration along the way..Version: 4.11.1

Forget about piano teachersHonestly, If you don’t need someone to hold your hand for you to practice and you are a self motivated person this is simply perfect. If I was a piano teacher I would be terrified what this app can do for my job. I have never thought learning sheet music would come so easily and being able to practice through popular songs from Beethoven to Taylor Swift to Greatest Showman and so many more is extremely motivating. Apart from how amazing the content and teaching methods are even the graphics are just perfection. It’s cartoony in a way that doesn’t feel childish at all. I’ve read some negative comments about app not being able to properly recognize notes that are played on the piano, just increase your instrument’s volume and decrease your phone/tablet’s volume and you’ll be fine. Seriously five stars are not enough for this app..Version: 7.0.4

Request for refundHi there, I did not know where else to contact you guys so I am doing it here. My son apparently had made a subscription for a three month premium access to you app. This was done with out my permission and had only recently found out my going through my transaction history. I would really appreciate it if there was some way for me to get a refund of the money used for the subscription. Thank you..Version: 8.4.4

Great App - Recent Updates AsideI really recommend this app for anyone wanting to learn piano. Importantly; the subscription works with apple family, which is convenient for our 4 member household (mum, dad, son, daughter) to use our own devices. I’ve gone from 0 to a relatively casual player in only a few weeks. Fair warning, however; recent updates to the app do result in a frustrating experience. It’s no longer a majority hands-free, rewarding session. Im forever having to interact with the touch screen to dismiss notifications, and video lessons, or the constantly repeating “sending friends invites” page. Honestly; i only last one or two of these notifications before i quit the app and stop playing in frustration. Most importantly; the children were able to setup and do lessons whenever they wanted. Now an adult has to help, and none of these interactions create value. Tedious is an understatement. Please revert these changes, or make them optional in settings (and default to disabled) And please consider some kind of tag or icon for lessons that are non-pinao-interactive, but require touch to complete, or display a “skip” button for their entire duration. 4 stars otherwise. Definitely a 5 star without this above problem..Version: 9.0.1

So fun - lots of Christmas musicI honestly can’t believe I can play piano with two hands now. I’m nearly done with essentials 3 and it’s amazing how much I’ve learned. I really love being able to read and play regular sheet music (it’s included within the app), which was always my goal. My only hesitation on recommending this app to everyone are some of the music choices. I’m not religious but there are a lot of Christian songs to work through, carols especially. I don’t mind them, as I know them well and that makes them easier for me to learn, but if you’re not Christian or don’t know carols at all it might be a barrier to you. One more note, the further I get in the course the more I’m wanting a keyboard to plug into (I’m using a real piano). I feel like sometimes it can’t “hear” the notes when I’m playing 4 at a time for example. This is something that Simply Piano acknowledges but I feel like I got quite far without one. As for the expense, my whole family is using it and we’re now playing lots of sheet music. Other sites have sheet music for about $5-6 a song. I think for all of us using it and getting sheet music it’s a great deal..Version: 7.1.6

Great learning experienceAfter 3 months of using this app every single day (even if it’s only for 5 minutes) I can really hear progress. The note recognition is pretty accurate, the music choices are varied, and the difficulty level ratchets up at just the right speed for me so that I keep improving without becoming disheartened. If I have a criticism it is that the scrolling music doesn’t let you look ahead more than three bars at a time, but then again that makes it a bit like sight reading practice. I should say that I played trumpet for years so I could read treble clef already, and I suppose that’s an advantage over a complete beginner. But I think that if anyone were to give this app some regular practice they will see startling progress..Version: 8.2.4

Anyone who says that this is a bad game is a liarFirst of all people say that you have to pay money and you don’t it’s actually free. Second of all I came into the game not knowing where middle c was i’m almost completely done with that game and to meet that’s kind of sad but like and now I can play songs by Beethoven I can play a song called fur Elise and it’s really difficult but I can do it because of simply piano it’s just the best game ever and if you want to learn how to can a duet like you have to do it. also you have to trust me on this one there are no ads no ads at all but there’s just nothing there’s no ads. OK now I’m gonna tell you what you do in the game so there’s like stages and the first stage is essentials one then Essentials 2 the essentials 3 and then after that something interesting happens you get to choose what you want to do you can learn classical music or you can learn chords to play all kinds of music I personally do classical first and I would do that because it kind of set you up and the chords can get boring quick and frustrating quick but just like take a deep breath and remember this review when you wanted to when you wanna quit anyway bye for now..Version: 9.1.2

Hmmm, not that badI may be wrong but I’m quite sure that I am hitting the correct keys. The thing is that Simply Piano is miscalculating the keys I press when I do my left and right keys at the same time. They keep saying I don’t do my Cs properly and highlight it red. Maybe you could fix this? In the training it is SO laggy. And why are some songs so sensitive? I hit the right keys and what do I get? One star! Great experience getting ONE STAR. (Sarcasm)Great piano app besides that though, highly recommended.😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁.Version: 8.5.5

Musically Challenged and LOVE this app!The story of how this app came to be downloaded: I am not a fan of downloading apps or paying for apps, but here I am. My kids music teacher had them practicing Christmas songs to play for their recital on a keyboard that sat in my kitchen. I was amazed how fast my 7 year old and 10 year old were catching on, but me playing the piano seemed very far fetched as I never played instruments. Enter COVID. I was bored beyond belief and needed to diversify my daily activities. This app flashed as an ad on Instagram. I figured, “If they can do it, so can I” and pressed download. I have been practicing for the last 5 weeks, 4 times a week for 30 minutes (read: 1 hour…I lose track of time sitting behind the piano and while I don’t really have an hour to spare, now it’s less time scrolling IG and more time playing the piano). I somehow know how to read the notes and shockingly figured out how to play the basics. If I can do it, so can you!! My husband said it no longer sounds like I’m banging at the keys and when I’m learning songs and now they start singing along as I’m practicing. 🤯 This will be the biggest accomplishment I never set out to have, but here we are..Version: 8.9.1
