✓ Just ok, bad for factoring even with premium.Was having trouble with factoring so I came to math papa for help. It did help with easy factoring problems, I just used it to check my work. But when I got into harder stuff it wouldn’t show steps even with premium. For example I would type 16x^2-40x+25 and then it would just give me back 16x^2-40x+25= 16x^2-40x+25 then just give me the solution without steps. I even had premium on too, it’s kinda sad because of all the apps I thought that this one wouldn’t swindle me. Anyways, I stopped premium uninstalled and found a better app, that showed me step without paying extra (Symbolab). Kinda disappointed, expected better..Ë G GVersion: 1.4.3

✓ Worst app everLet’s look at what positive reviews in the app store look like. Clash of Clans is as of writing the top grossing app in the App Store. They have an average rating of 4.5 stars, in a system where 5 stars are pretty much impossible. They have 12,790 ratings across all versions (all the numbers in this post are for all versions). Of those 12,790, 10,049 are 5-star ratings, or 78.6%. On the other side of things, 449 people gave it a 1-star rating or 3.5% What this means is that 78.6% of people felt that Clash of Clans couldn’t be a better app, and 3.5% of people felt that it couldn’t possibly be any worse. So that’s what some good review stats look like. Yo’s stats… not so much. They have an average rating across all versions of 3.5 stars – not so bad really. ✓ Wow.... I can’t believe it 😦So I’ve used this app and it is VERY helpful. But... I was working on math one day and entered an equation into the app and it told me the answer. But I didn’t understand how to get that answer but OF COURSE. Like all the rest! Math Papa HADDD to make a premium version and NO. I’m NOT paying $120 per year on an application that would allow me to see the step by step version. That is completely unnecessary. I get it... they need money. But $120 a year???? Seriously??? ✓ I shouldn’t need to search if there’s a solution to this issue if there’s no answer...When putting in exponents, only one number or variable can go up there, such as 3^4 or 3^x, but not an expression like 3^x-1, which is necessary for solving geometric sequences algebraically to find if a given number is a term of the sequence. Instead it will put input as 3^x then subtracted by 1. I went on the FAQ support for MathPapa but found nothing on this issue. Great app for Algebraic calculations. ✓ Absolutely horribleI dont do reviews AT ALL! This is my first review. Let me start by saying this calculator is one of the best. It absolutely carried me through middle school. However, there’s just one problem. The subscription to get the steps to your problem. The subscription you have to pay to get the steps to your problem is $10. A year? No. $10 a month. Let that sink in for a second. You can be paying $9 a month for a Netflix subscription, but instead, i have to pay $10 a month for a calculator so it can show me the steps to my problem... Do the developers here see the problem with this horrible price tag? I understand you guys need revenue and all, but please lower the price tag and cut it by at least half. $5 a month seems more reasonable. I mean i just cant believe it. I can pay $9 a month for Netflix but i gotta pay $10 a month for a calculator? Now unless this calculator does all my problems correctly without me lifting a finger and shows all the work and guarantees me an A+ on every math test i do and gets me a scholarship to Harvard, there is no way I’m paying $10 a month for this. ✓ How could you Papa?I am currently a seventh grader and have loved this app, which has helped me tremendously in algebra. But today I was doing math homework, and I checked one of the problems, which turned out to be wrong. I went to click ‘show work’ so that I could figure out what I did wrong, but I noticed that instead of ‘show work’ the button said something about needing a subscription. Of course, I checked it out to see if I wanted to sign up, but $10 a month for a calculator? Seriously? I would be willing to pay 1 or 2 dollars, but 10? Make your prices more kid friendly, and you’ll have a hit. Everyone can afford a couple dollars out of their allowance, but 10? My whole weekly allowance is $10! ✓ Ok App. Photomath seems to be a better valueI signed up for premium status to get the unlimited solving steps. I decided to cancel because the steps shown do not match the method my daughter is learning at school. There’s no button to suspend or cancel your membership. There’s no account information button. There’s also no account password restore links either. The app functions like it should for math though. ✓ Great Start but room for improvementI looked at several algebra solution apps and this one is better than most and I did buy the subscription after trying it out. I need it to check my daughters homework when there are particularly tough questions involving fractional negative exponents. Here are the list of improvements that this app needs and some of these might be a deal breaker. - There is no “clear all” to rid of the equation you just calculated so you need to delete one character at a time before you can enter a new equation. With the addition of a “clear all” key, I would have added another star to make this a 4star app. - It is hard to enter radicals with different index. You need to enter is as a fractional exponent - After you enter the exponent with the up arrow, you need to come back down by touching the lower section on the screen and it can be a little temperamental. I wish the up arrow key lowers automatically like a shift key rather than a caps lock key..NctrevVersion: 1.4.2

✓ Y tho?I USED TO really like this app. It really helped me with math. Like A LOT. But then there was a study a guide. And there were questions I didn’t understand, and my answers were completely different from the calc’s. And when I wanted to know what I was doing wrong, but you have to pay for step by step. That’s ridiculous. Ur a calculator. Just solve the problems and help us understand how you got the answer. Why do we have to pay for it now? Math Papa, you shouldn’t have done that. I’m really confused. I’m supposed to be ur grandchild. Don’t make me pay to understand things. Plz stop this foolishness because u don’t know how close I am to deleting this and giving u an even worse review. ✓ $10 monthly is a bit of a reachThere’s no way I’d pay that much to learn step by step, tho it’s a nice app and it does help you. I was ready to pay until I read that it’s monthly, I think that’s ridiculous. Google has many that don’t require a monthly sub to get step by step, even free. So having an app on your phone vs having your safari open for step by step. Maybe make it a one time fee instead of monthly. It’s not Netflix. ✓ Needed Money?This app was undeniably the best app for when I had trouble with math, but now I could just say it’s another calculator in a sense. With the instalment of “ new”premium features you now have to pay to see how to solve the problems step by step. That in itself wouldn’t be so much of a big deal if it wasn’t for the fact that the cost is almost 10 dollars per month!? This app is still great for getting answers to problems but that’s about all it’s good for unless you want to pay a monthly fee to learn something along with it too.
