✓ Super accessible music makingThis is a very slick app with a quick and intuitive UI. Perfect for quick ideas and jams. My only wish is support for microtonal scales!.Adz32Version: 6.0.9

✓ Almost PerfectAuxy Pro is probably the best Digital Audio Workstation for iOS I’ve used, and it even rivals some computer DAWs as well. It is extremely powerful but simple-to-use, its User Interface & Workflow is intuitive, its sound library is ENORMOUS, and I love how you can tweak & change every sound. You can even import & export to other major DAWs, like Ableton Live & Presonus Studio One, and you can also use your own sounds & samples as well. But, I still have some qualms & suggestions for improvement. An Undo button: When you’re mixing your tracks, you can sometimes ruin your song without realising until later. But with Auxy, you can’t undo anything, so you have to do it all again. So I think a multiple undo button would be really useful. 2. A Mixer: In Auxy, when you’re mastering, you have to change the volume of each track individually & with a bit of menu diving. So a one-page mixer which is easily accessible from the main screen would save a lot of time & energy. 3. A Keyboard: So when a tune pops into my head, I always figure it out on a keyboard. And I think a keyboard in the note editor (maybe with a record function) would be nice. 4. Vocals: For people who make songs with vocals, it would be useful if you can record & import audio that’s longer than 8 bars. (Another nice little touch: when using the pitch changer fx, it would be nice if it showed you what note you’ve changed the sound to (ie. +C# or -Ab). 5. Lastly, the Subscription Service: I think this is the most crucial point, & where you’ve shot yourselves in the foot. The current subscription requires you to pay £60 a year in order to access the full sound library and some extra things, but a lot of people (especially those who earn a little or no income) couldn’t justify spending that much A YEAR. I know you have to pay for making sound packs, keeping the app on the App Store, and of course you need to make an income, but I think there are better ways of making it both affordable for everyone & yet still be able to support yourselves. So here are some ideas: A. Make the full features cost a one-off payment. I like how Auxy is free to download, so you can see whether you like the UI & workflow before paying for anything, but the demo pack needs to be a bigger selection of sounds. And instead of having a subscription, have a one-off payment. Why? Because you can get other good music production apps for a fraction of the money you pay for Auxy EACH YEAR, like Cubasis (£48), or Korg Gadget 2 (£38), or even GarageBand (which is FREE), and if you aren’t making enough money, why not make a Paetron account & ask people to support the project. I’m sure people will be much more willing to give, rather than you taking their money. B. Keep the subscription, make the demo pack bigger & individually price soundpacks. If you can’t afford to make Auxy a one-off payment, individually price the soundpacks (relative to their size). That way, users can pay for only what they want & need. And people who want to use the whole sound library can pay the subscription. There also should be a bigger demo soundpack, and new users should have a credit-style system, which means thy have 5 or 10 credits to spend on the soundpacks they want. Sorry this review has been long & wordy, but I hope it has been insightful, and will give you some ideas to make Auxy even better. ✗ Innovative but crippledThe workflow and approach is something that other app creators should take heed to, but unfortunately it’s not a professional tool due to being limited to using only their own sounds which are not to everyone’s taste. Needs to be a huge variety of sounds in order for that to work and make original music and import our own sounds. The main gripe is a pay monthly subscription to music making. It simply doesn’t gel. I may go a month without making music using apps. Fortunately I have hardware which I don’t have to pay a monthly subscription. You get my point, the concept stinks from the buyers perspective..WozzaaVersion: 6.0.6
