Not free...You basically can’t do anything..Version: 6.0.0

$8 monthly SubscriptionSubscription is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of..Version: 5.4.0

Not free! There’s a subscription to use the majority of the instruments.Version: 6.0.9

Was good but changes should be made to the new versionThis used to be the best music production app I had. I loved auxy studio because I could make whatever I want and I didn’t have to pay unless I wanted a larger variety of sounds. But now it costs money to do everything from using the original sound pack to editing your loops. would not recommend, unless they make a second app that is the old version of auxy,(or auxy lite)and then if you want to use the large variety of sounds that they have now you can get the full version and subscribe to auxy studio..Version: 5.0.0

Lost them all…It’s a cool app and it’s fun to use, but after deleting it for some space i lost all of my projects. that’s my fault, but i’m surprised we can’t make any auxy accounts here to keep our projects in the cloud :( pretty bummed..Version: 6.9.3

On the topic of subscriptionsI understand that you need to make money somehow, and I’m okay with you wanting to charge a subscription, but please state in the app description that the subscription is required to use the app. Having users download the app without being aware they need to pay to use it feels a bit scummy. TLDR: Subscriptions are okay, but the fact that it’s mandatory needs to be stated clearer..Version: 6.0.2

I am sure it has potentialThis app definitely has potential but you cannot do anything for free except for play 2 drum solos..Version: 6.0.9

Used to be goodI’ve know this app for 3 years now. I’ve made some nice thing with it. Now, I understand that money is needed to keep Auxy going, but I can’t even add/make anything anymore. What kind of a free app is that? I got back after a couple of months only to not be able to edit my other tracks or make new one because it asks for subscription... sad..Version: 6.0.0

This app is garbageDon’t get this unless you’re willing to spend money on it. It only has 3 sounds you can use(would never recommend in 1,000,000 years).Version: 6.6.9

Simple yet deep, but some design issuesInterface is beautifully simple and easy to use. The few sounds I heard were good. Nice that you can both create loops and then also string the loops together to create a song. Don't like the subscription idea though - just let me buy sound packs. There will be time I won't be using the app, so I don't want to be paying for it when I'm not using it! And I don't want to have to start and stop the subscription over and over. Also would want it to communicate with/record other music/audio apps on my device like other apps can do (like GarageBand). (Update in response to dev response): ok then if not selling sounds, what about either selling app up front (instead of free) or limiting features (like the ability to export audio/project and set volume above a certain level) until user pays an unlock fee? Second update responding to dev: you could still limit the app and then have an in app purchase to unlock everything. Or go the old route and provide a free limited version and a full version you pay for..Version: 6.1.2

Needs better upkeepI’ve used this app for around four years and it has been one of my main tools for music designing. I have always liked it and have gotten quite a bit out of it. It truly makes music making fun and simple. However, the app, much like almost every other app on the store, has a subscription, which it didn’t, when it first started. By now, I’m not surprised and am fine with subscription based apps. But, when the app first started the subscription setup, I’m FAIRLY certain that it said it would release a sound pack every month. And it feels like that isn’t the case anymore. Even then, though, it wouldn’t be a big deal, if you got unique sounds out of every pack. But, when you start to feel like a new pack starts to sound almost identical to past instruments in a different pack, that’s a problem. All in all, it’s a GREAT app but, I feel like it may be taking advantage of its success and delivering less than what it is worth. With that being said, change isn’t impossible and the future of “Auxy” can still shine bright as long as the developers keep carrying its torch..Version: 6.0.9

It’s good but...It would be better if you didn’t have to pay for it 🤷🏽‍♂️.Version: 6.0.3

AwesomeSo when are we getting a free/one-time payment version that doesn’t lock basically all functionality behind a paywall? There are so many other DAW apps out there that at least only cost a little to use. A subscription for some amateur audio software that might not even be used all the time? What a joke..Version: 6.0.9

Not bad, but really needs to add a whole lot more soundsI’m paying for the sub and it’s a really fun app with a lot of potential, but it has not added any new sounds in what seems a very long time and it’s very limited in the sounds it has to offer. Which also means nearly every song or track has a similar sound. It needs a catalogue of synths, chords, voices, presets etc..Version: 6.9.5

Why SubscriptionThis was a great app before they implemented the subscription service. Yeah it’s only a few bucks a month but that adds up to 50 bucks a year. It’s a horrible way to charge for a product like this. It’s not like it’s Adobe creative cloud level software that is ran by professionals bringing in revenue. I would happily pay upfront for the app. If you look at other music apps that don’t cost 50 bucks a year that still have a lithe library of sound and more features it just doesn’t make sense. It’s borderline shady in my opinion because if you wanted to use this for the next 10 years you’d be paying nearly 500 bucks. You can buy full featured desktop FL for that money and it has life time upgrades. If you planned on using this for a life time you could end up spending thousand of dollars. Just for a step sequencer and a couple thousand sounds. As I said I really do like the app and I used it a lot before the changes. There has to be a better way to bring in revenue. Once in a while I get the urge to use the app and reactivate my subscription but the thought of paying for the rest of my life just doesn’t make sense for something this small. Maybe if it was a pro level app with a ton more features being implemented but it’s a simplistic step sequencer with limited effects..Version: 5.2.1

Hungry money appI deleted your app and why am still notified about your stupid monthly subscription?.Version: 6.0.9

Innovative but crippledThe workflow and approach is something that other app creators should take heed to, but unfortunately it’s not a professional tool due to being limited to using only their own sounds which are not to everyone’s taste. Needs to be a huge variety of sounds in order for that to work and make original music and import our own sounds. The main gripe is a pay monthly subscription to music making. It simply doesn’t gel. I may go a month without making music using apps. Fortunately I have hardware which I don’t have to pay a monthly subscription. You get my point, the concept stinks from the buyers perspective..Version: 6.0.6

Sooooo badIt just puts you in a black screen and expects you to know everything.Version: 6.9.3

Everything is PaidI have watched many videos on how this app functions and it looks like a great app. The problem is that once you download it there are no free features. To do anything other then download the app you have to pay..Version: 6.0.1

Subscription model for access to instruments is a joke. Not a funny joke. Bye bye Auxy..Version: 5.0.0

Good, but should be paidIn this app you need a subscription to use most of the things, so it may as well be a paid game..Version: 6.8

Used to be free, now it’s a subscriptionThis app has gone way downhill. It’s not like you get much new stuff anyway. Why pay every month for something that used to be free..Version: 5.2.1

ONLY SIX TRACKS?!?!?!?I have previously wrote a review with five stars, but the new update? Now most of the demo tracks are GONE!!!! Now I only have 6-10 tracks! Please bring back the demo tracks! I don’t want to keep reusing the same sounds!.Version: 5.1.0

Subscription systemGreat app, but I absolutely hate the subscription based model. For the love of music, let me pay 50$ or whatever price you want and be done with it..Version: 6.6.6

SubscriptionThere always has to be subscriptions ina apps nowadays.Version: 6.0.9

Used to be good, don’t think it will be again.Like other people have said, to my surprise I had lost my once favourite music app. I may not have used it as much but it had some great sounds I could use for free and make on the go. Now Auxy like many other developers I’ve found have been centred around money. I understand money is needed to keep them going but they become to engrossed in it. I came back to listen to my old songs to find I had to download them, even worse they were locked and I now had to pay a subscription to access the sounds I had already used and had been free through out this version and the old Auxy. Now all I’m left with is 8 random sounds which sounds like the app should just be bought instead of being a subscription. I understand there are over 4000 sounds but the least that could be done is giving previous users the original sounds for free. You can’t just be given a car for free and 20 years later the person who gave you it wants you to pay. Doesn’t work like that..Version: 5.1.1

So good, no family share featureThis is one of the best apps for making electronic music on your mobile device. I’ve used it for years to sketch out songs for myself and other clients. Whether you want to export the midi for the performance or the audio, it’s very usable. My biggest complaint is that my kids are very musical and love using this app. The developer will not give new users the ability to use the old starter sounds like they used to. I’m grandfathered into that. But I cannot share that with my kids. After multiple failed attempts at trying to get the original sounds available for my kids, they refused to budge. I have purchased a couple sample packs that are great. If I had to pay $20 for this app and all the original sounds, I would as long as I could share that basic portion of the app with my kids. I’ll change my review if they can accommodate my needs and others like me..Version: 6.7.1

Subscription? Are you kidding me?I downloaded this thinking it was going to be the usual kind of thing: get the basic functionality for free, pay for “in-app purchases” if you want to do anything useful. Fine. I would even willingly pay $30 for an app like this. But after downloading, a message pops up, telling me I can use it free for 7 days, after which it’s $7 per month. If I was a professional music producer using this in my work, or used it on a daily basis, it wouldn’t be so bad, but the app is advertised as being fun for the casual user, i.e. someone who might pull it up every once in a while for some noodling around and then forget about it for a few months. Months during which I’m shelling out $7 and getting nothing in return, unless I keep canceling my subscription. Seriously? Either let the user know this app is aimed at pros/serious users, or sell it at a more reasonable price for casual users..Version: 6.6.9

DisappointingThis App was great until we needed to subscribe for the basic sound packs. On to the next one..Version: 5.2.1

Why is it not compatiblePlease make it compatible again for older devices I don't understand why you needed to make it incompatible for older devices I can deal with lag please I am into lots of music making and this new update seems essential for me but I have incompatible devices (iPhone 5c and iPad mini 1) thanks for your time and please take this into consideration. Thanks!.Version: 3.0.0

Unusable without subscription,The demo content is very minimal. I despise the subscription model for this sort of app, so uninstalled..Version: 6.1.2

Can’t make a projectAlright Auxy I’m giving a 1 star cause idk how good the app is but I’m not able to import any project (I did the steps correctly) or add an instrument by taping '+instrument' whenever I tap it it gives me only two options 'restore purchases' and 'start 7 day trial' I don’t use money for any app if I can’t import/make a project then there’s no point in having the app please fix this.Version: 6.0.0

Do not download if you want a mobile music creating appI’ve heard that this app used to be good but you get nothing without wasting money and every time there is a review similar to this they avoid the main point, you can do nothing without spending money on the subscription.Version: 6.8

Yet another pay monthly model…..Why am I paying £60 a year or £600 a decade for this, it should be a one off payment of maybe £5. I never end up owning the app because apparently it’s priceless. Stop ripping people off with this payment model..Version: 6.9.1

Mixed opinionsI have mixed opinions about this app. On one hand I think it’s really great and cool, but on the other hand there’s a lot of stuff that I don’t like about it. Things I like: It’s fun and simple to use and easy to create really nice songs. The songs that come with it are pretty cool an offer A wide range of sonic possibilities. Things I don’t like: it’s based off of a monthly subscription instead of a one and done purchase, which irrationally infuriates me. There’s no midi functionality so you can’t use external synthsin your projects. You can’t do real time playing with a keyboard, because there isn’t one. If you could at least consider changing these things it would be greatly appreciated..Version: 6.6.5

NOT FREEAll you get is 2 simple drum kit Not even a single instrument Unless you sign up for 7day free trial and pay then afterwards Garagebabd and Zenbeats are still the only real useful free daws on phone These kids wanna make money for something that other apps do a million times better for free Aint happening.Version: 6.1.1

Too expensiveI loved using this app before the subscription model arrived. It was fun and quick to use with pleasing results. However I can’t justify £4.50 per month for a fun app. I hope this trend for subscription based apps is short-lived as it’s just too expensive for most users..Version: 6.0.7

SoundsNeed to add more sounds because all my songs are starting to sound the same even tho I have bought all the sound packs. Also the sounds packs are way too expensive when you hardly get any new sounds and they all end up sounding the same.Version: 4.1.3

Another truly solid app required by subscriptionsMake no mistake … this is a really good app. I applaud the effort. However, like so many other apps, greed will drive it into the ground sooner than later … which is sad. Subscriptions for these kinds of apps are an App Store cancer. Look no further than the version history … people are expected to pay $5/mo or $45/year (before tax) for tweaks and fixes that should be included in the price of the app. Subscriptions should pay for NEW content and features *every* month — not to fix or tweak aspects of the app that should be fixed to make it work as expected. Again - this is a truly great app. However, I will not use it because people shouldn’t have (or be expected) to pay for the SAME features over and over and over again. **Note: Some months have included awesome news content/features. But for a subscription based app, brand new content/features should be added every single month. Otherwise, subscriptions take advantage of people who don’t (or forget to) cancel and end up paying for the same features repeatedly. When I subscribe to a monthly magazine, I get NEW content every month … not the same articles with spelling and grammar corrections along with a few new articles every 2-3 months..Version: 6.6.6

£60 a year to use it anyone? Nope, me neither thanks. The only thing you need to know is that there are better and cheaper apps out there. Garageband, Thumbjam, Groovebox, Launchpad, Odesi etc.Version: 6.0.9

Terrible. There is no copy paste for midi. Half the buttons aren’t very responsive. After using Fl studio on PC and Caustic 3 for mobile I think this app is terrible and the people saying it’s 5 stars don’t have a clue what they are talking about..Version: 6.8

Please read thisI’ve used auxy for a while and i like it a lot, it’s very easy to make simple trap or hip hop beats, but making beats that i want to hear is very hard using auxy. Adding vocals, adlibs, or maybe even custom sample packs and free sample packs should do the trick. Not all sample packs should be free, just have a few. And maybe even upload your sample packs for other users to use. Overall, I enjoy using auxy, I just think it can be improved..Version: 4.1.3

There isn’t even a crash...Auxy used to be great, but the subscription update has made it really hard to use it without paying for basic stuff. The drum kits were good, albeit simple, but the new ‘make your own’ drumkit is marketed as freeing and creative, but has actually limited possibilities more - the default drums have to be purchased! I feel like the app has regressed, and lost sight of the original idea of “anyone can make music”. Now, you have to have a wallet. 😤.Version: 6.0.9

Subscription...deletedShame.Version: 6.0.7

PAY TO PLAYYou have to pay for a free trial.Version: 6.0.9

Why the @#$&@*$ it’s not freePlz make it free.Version: 6.6.5

Great app for beginners, but quite expensiveI’ve never touched any music making software and found this really easy and intuitive to use. I do feel like it is quite expensive for what you get though. A one time purchase option, or the ability to partially use it for free would be great..Version: 6.1.2

Foolish subscription service>be me >use auxy on ipad for almost 2 years >auxy announces paid iphone app >buy it day one >app goes free >feel foolish for buying the app >continue making songs >app goes subscription based >lose access to basically all of my projects because the sounds i used got locked >sadge.jpg i honestly don't care that you guys went subscription based, i use fl studio now, but i find it scummy to retroactively lock my old projects behind a paywall, not to mention after i bought auxy previously. kinda WeirdChamp.Version: 6.6.5

Another subscription… really?Let me just get to the point, ok? Cool. So I get the app thinking “OH WOW FINALLY A NORMAL MUSIC APP WITHOUT A FRICKING SUBSCRIPTION” BUT NOPE, every app I get is just subscription after subscription after subscription and so on. I wish the App Store would go back to the old days y’know with Angry Birds and Where’s My Water or apps that just give you adds and you don’t have to pay for anything, but for some reason people don’t like that way any more and they want money FASTER. Okay I get it you need money, I’m a 13 year old child so I know how that feels. You probably think I’m being sarcastic but no, I have to buy my own toothpaste, my own toothbrush, my own soap, my own clothes, my own school supplies, and the list goes on. So anyways, don’t recommend this app unless you’re fine with buying the subscription Has potential ngl.Version: 6.6.5

Deleted immediatelyWho told these app developers that the subscription model is the way to go. Who in there right mind will pay £5 per month for something when a one off payment will get you much more in far better apps …………….AVOID…………….and force them to change ..Version: 6.9.5

Ableton opThe workflow of this app is amazing and I wish more apps were like it (including ableton) However, whenever I try to produce anything it sounds like it’s chatting to me in ps1 hagrid, can’t even handle making basic tearout and people expect to be able to make a decent track on it? In conclusion… ableton wins, even if its workflow is worse than yours, sound design not found, 404 ting n that.Version: 6.8

Not enough free stuffIt’s cool and all but you can’t really do anything without a subscription so please add more free stuff.Version: 6.9.1

I was going to give it a mid review but the creators couldn’t shut their mouthsSaying that their mid garageband copy couldn’t be a one off payment is a complete lie, and when somebody makes a good argument about how garageband has more instruments, more features, is generally better and is free they just say “have you even used the app” yes i have, for the past 6 days i’ve been making at least one song a day and they all sound the same because you gave me 5 decent sounding instruments and 2 good ones if you want to be a competitor, do better instead of being so incompetent you make an app that is only popular because some rich kids don’t even know what a chromatic scale is.Version: 6.9.5

Developers too focussed on soundsI’ve been an Auxy user since the original app. Auxy has come a long way however the developers seem to be focussed on sounds rather than usability. The app is excellent! But it could be really incredible with some more care taken to user experience. I’ve been trying to get the developers to reintroduce a core function that they removed during the abandonment of the original app (to be able to loop the playback of the current bar during pattern editing) but they haven’ - it has been around 4 years and still no fix. Why is this so important? Edit... Stop button... Play button... Edit... Stop button... Play button... Edit... Stop button... Play button... Edit... It gets really tiring and the feature was there originally. Can’t wait to see it returned..Version: 6.0.1

TrashCan barely do anything without a subscription and it costs a lot for what it’s worth.Version: 5.2.0

Needs more Bars in the InstrumentsI can put in a 30 second sample “recording” into Axy but there are not enough bars within the instrument when I select that recording to play the entire recording. So there needs to be more bars within the instrument like there is in the scenes to allow for the entire recording to play through. But that being said I feel like I should be able to put an entire song that I wrote on my guitar into Axy and add drums and melodies to it, it shouldn’t just be limited to 30 seconds either. If I was able to put an entire song that I wrote into Axy I would be giving Axy 5 stars..Version: 6.7.1

DisappointedBeen a little while since I’ve used this app and wanted to open and play some projects created in 2018, which is when I first got the app, it seems now that I can’t. I take it since there has been some updates the app has changed, so that all the basic features that were once available have been taken away and locked behind a subscription. I wouldn’t have minded paying a once of price for additional packs, but paying for a subscription for something that only gets occasional use, isn’t worth it. Very disappointing, although upside is I get to free up some space on my device by deleting this app for something else..Version: 6.1.2

Was a decent app now it’s a rip offSo I’ve had this app for a few years so I can casually make beats. Bought a few of the packs at the time before they updated everything over a year ago. As the app has stopped doing these wild updates I noticed that all the packs I bought have now been switched over to subscription based models. It’s pretty upsetting that I’ve spent over $30 in packs and now I have to re-subscribe for things that were not detailed to be subscription based. This app literally did what adobe did but worse with the subscription mode because the app really didn’t actually improve any functionality in fact I would argue that they’ve scaled back really giving more tools to users. There’s still no import vocals and now only 1/6 of all the songs I’ve been making over the year work now because the packs for sounds are locked because of this subscription model they’ve implemented. I don’t recommend anyone to make any real investments into this app. It’s fun to play around with but this app is missing that professional quality in a finished song and just sprinkled with audio sound packs you have to resubscribe for every year and they’re not cheap. Good luck with this app. I will never ever ever use this app again because it’s now a rip off..Version: 6.0.9

PLEASE READ👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇Your app was good in the beginning good beats not divers but good beats I made some very good things with it but after a year or 2 of having it so 2017 or 18 your beats weren’t even beats it was just like 2 drums or 2 beats and it wasn’t good anymore and all your beats are extremely electric there is really no diversity in your beats but you still have provided me good beats If u would like 2 hear what I made with their beats go on Lwills on soundcloud and look at my early songs now I just DJ coz of how bad there beats are 👍🏾 Don’t get if u are new.Version: 6.1.2

My review of AuxyOkay, Auxy is a decent app but my problem is I can configure the packs that the developers provide, but to create a new project the developers are pretty much making you pay a subscription in order to create a new project from scratch, unfortunately due to this issue I deleted the app and I will not be installing it again if this problem does not get some form of a resolution. I have no problems with ads and in app purchases but to pay money every month to create a new project is killing the purpose of the app in some ways, some more than others. Auxy developers please find some sort of resolution..Version: 6.0.2

Used to be GreatI really like this app, however since they made premium $7 a month it makes it unaffordable for the people they are trying to sell to, because this is just an app I doubt many people would with the money would get premium because there are many other options that in the long run would be cheaper and have a lot more to give for the price. I’d be happy to pay $2-$3 a month or have a more expensive 1 time payment..Version: 5.1.1

Subscription based usage. The app itself is really well designed and very unique in the way it functions, similar to that of a DAW (digital audio workstation) but unlike a DAW which you pay for once and can keep forever this app requires payment per month to use. I have absolutely nothing wrong with developers charging money for well designed applications such as this but subscription based? Really? Why bother to make the app “free” if your going to charge people for it anyway. It just drives people away from using it..Version: 6.0.2

Not GreatOnly good with premium, which I don't have. It's literally impossible to make a good tune as free-to-use only gives you a few types of instruments and sounds. Trust me, I’ve tried to create an at least DECENT tune, but like I said earlier, it's impossible. Definitely NOT recommended for free-to-use people. Just don't waste your time downloading this app and get something else..Version: 6.9.5

The update.I had previously been looking forwards to this update, but now that it's here I'm just disappointed. You've locked soundpacks behind a subscription service that wasn't there before, soundpacks which you used to be able to purchase on their own. If you want to add a subscription service, fine, add it. Just don't lock content that used to be available without the service too..Version: 5.0.0

ButCool update and all but, where are the sounds? Seriously, it’s impossible to make a good song without premium. Explain. Why has Auxy Original become premium?.Version: 5.1.1

ExportHow can I export something as audio and not a link to the app.Version: 6.9.3

Outdated WorkflowWould love to see this app progress in some way. Every so often I check back to see if major features have been implemented like an undo function but nope..Version: 6.1.2

Not sure what changes were made.I don’t know exactly how I was able to access all the demo sounds but that feature seems to have been removed, leaving me with only the default sounds. It went from the best music app to one of the worst because of that, I think..Version: 6.6.1

Still GarbageStill no midi input, years down the line here. I’m coming back every month to leave a one star review until this is fixed, it’s the least I can do for the paying users the devs are ignoring. Only takes a few minutes and it’s helping somebody. Love to the family xxx.Version: 6.9.2

Gone down completely.... don’t bother!Avoid! This was a brilliant app years ago. I purchased it and loved it. I made few projects on it. Options are awesome but as of late it’s Subscription only. Shame! Both of my sons have it and practically the app is useless once it was updated. No original Auxy sounds everything is Subscription only! I may have older version on one of my devices which I will tend to not update. Really disappointed Auxy team! Your focus is now $$$ and only $$$ nothing more. I will advise my friends and will take comment of praising Auxy on my FB page..Version: 6.1.1

SubscriptionYeah, nah..Version: 6.8

Make the free trial cheaperIt’s pretty good except for the free trial. it’s too expensive. so can you please make the free trial a lot cheaper? so I have more songs to make my songs ..Version: 6.9.3

It’s cool till you open the appThe app is pretty cool and all but not cool to the point that I’ll start paying for a subscription (especially for what the app is for....fun not actually producing music) I’d rather have ads or have to pay $10 or $20 for the full game forever. I think you would make way more money by going with the ways I suggested (because I know that’s all you want to do) considering I don’t know anyone who would pay $66 for a YEAR subscription. But what do I know?.Version: 5.1.1

Was good but forced subscription on original buyersThere are plenty of non-subscription alternatives which are as good or better. It’s a shame because this has a nice balance of simplicity and features..Version: 6.6
