✓ I would rate 5 stars but…Okay it’s a great game I recommend downloading it but please add a mode where you can play against 4 bots. It gets pretty boring going against the same expert level bot if you don’t want to play online and still want a half decent game. Besides that and the horrible amount of in-app purchases that cost the same amount as the game itself (seriously please change that) overall great game..Version: 5.2.3

✓ Amazing and very fun game but could use some new features.Lemme start with saying that this game is sooooooooo fun. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I’m also enjoying the new single player mode. One thing I would suggest is that for your avatar, add a random button so for those of us who can’t choose one can have someone pick it for us. Another suggestion is have more of a restriction on what you can name yourself. I have had problems with people having inappropriate names and I have to leave the game because I felt offended by it. ✓ Fun!!! 🐱💥🔥I definitely recommend it, totally worth the money. The only thing is I don’t like the ‘evolution vs. religion’ pack. It mocks Jesus and jokes around about stuff like the devil and hell. Here’s some ideas: Cards: A ‘nope’ card that players can play in 3 seconds or less after someone plays any card except defuse to make plays void, just like the card game. A ‘card swap’ card where the player can do a blind swap with any player. Also a ‘peek’ card where you can peek at a few cards from someone else’s deck or something. You should make a character pack with monsters like a zombie, ghost, skeleton, etc. Please pick at least some of my ideas! :3.Version: 3.3.1

Even better card game.I’m 14 even though I’m older than most people that play I played the card game since I was in 4th grade me and my family started playing it again tonight for the first time in years which made me want to get the app. Only complaint is a lot of stuff is 2 dollars and there is a lot of stuff different from the card game. ✓ Good almost great, computer cheatsWhen playing solo game the computer cheats, and not only on the most difficult setting. Countless times I’ve played the card that supposedly makes it so they don’t know which card they’re playing but they’ll always still play the card they need. But when the situation is reversed, you have to waste 3-5 cards to get to the Defuse card. Frustrating as H%#@ Other than that, the multiplayer version is a lot of fun. All the kids loved it. As well as us adults. Expansion packs are great. Would love a way to make a custom deck with cards selected from purchased decks. Or a couple ideas for special cards; a variant of the Steal a Card where the victim can protect 1-2 cards and the attacker gets to choose from the rest(Face down to him or her so they still don’t know what they’re getting). A fake Exploding Cat card that looks like the real ones but nobody knows which one is fake until picked up. When selected player puts back in deck like a normal Exploding Kitten and he or she can distinguish the fake one in the deck when getting to peek at the deck, until picked up by someone else. Very fun game. Keep the expansion decks coming as they add to the variety and make the game more re-playable..Version: 5.2.3

✓ Slightly homophobic??Hi so I love this game and it’s great and all, but I’m a bit angry right now. You know how you can choose your name and if you write something inappropriate it changes your name to something like “cuddle bunny” for instance? I put the word “homo” (as in homosexual) in my name, and it censored it? I know this probably isn’t intentional but I would like this fixed, as it is very homophobic. The same thing happened to my friend. This is probably an unnecessary detail, but someone in our game was named “U R HOMOS”, and their name wasn’t censored. I would very much like this fixed. ✓ A great game that could be betterThe core game is really fun. I played exploding kittens in real life and really enjoyed it and thought that the app would be a great way to play when I can’t bring the deck with me. The solo mode in this game is very good. The only improvement I would make to it would be to have harder modes because even the hardest bot is very easy to beat as well as to be able to change the number of bots you play against would be great. The biggest issue with the game is the multiplayer. The game requires you to get others to download the game, which would be fine if it was free, but not many people like to pay for apps and that makes it hard to play with anyone. The solution to this is simple and that would be to have a pass and play mode where you can set the number of players and maybe add a bot or two into the game. That way since I have it downloaded I can still play with my friends and they can play and think “wow, this is really fun” and maybe download it. I think that adding pass and play would make the game 10 times better and wouldn’t really cut down on sales. Over all a very good game, but it could use a couple of changes..Version: 4.0.2

However, I wish you could do offline single player, like with your own four people. I understand that’s what the card game is for, and it could be difficult because you could see other peoples’ cards. Also the see the future cards couold be difficullt. However, maybe the person that used the card could lift up the device so only they could see it? ✓ Great Game, some features you should addI love this game, it’s one of my favourite games for iOS. Even so, there is still a bit left to desire. I would like to see more additions to single player such as a tournament mode, that way people will be more inclined to play the game. You can get certain avatars after being a certain amount of tournaments. One other addition I think you should make is to have a larger single player mode. Having more than one AI playing the single player mode would be really fun. So instead of it being 1v1 it’s more like 1v1v1v1 or however many players you choose. I love this game and I will continue to support it and if Bears vs Babies ever gets a mobile port, you can count on myself and others to buy that as well..Version: 3.3.1

Two drawbacks: 1) the timer *really*gets in the way of playing with friends with a video conference link. ✓ Awesome GameThis game is awesome, and it definitely captures the essence of the real card game. It has expansion packs available, and it has some custom avatars, which is nice for the people who like that. This game is very fun and most aspects of the original game were implemented, although a few cards have changed names and functions which may confuse new players. The biggest complaint that I have seen among one-star reviews is that they added “Jesus” as a character and that somehow offends their religion. I think that is a stupid reason not to like the game and you don’t have to play as it if you don’t want to. I think those Christians need to grow a pair and learn how to be able to poke fun at their religion too. That reason has nothing to do with the game and honestly it’s good that having Jesus as a character option is the “worst” thing about this game. ✓ Pretty good...It’s a fun companion to the physical game - although I kinda miss the joy of throwing down a “Nope” card and getting into everything that involves (that’s not to say that the Uno-like “Slap” card in the app isn’t fun in its own right, but it’s just not as satisfying). The single player mode is nicely done and gives some good gameplay, so you’re not entirely dependent on others having the app to play along. Literally nothing but in game bragging rights. Being a game that I actually spent my hard earned MONEY on I truly expect more. The full game is only the paid amount, three bucks I believe, and if you really want it, expansions are available for both character pictures and card packs. If you aren’t always online, you can play against three bots or varying difficulty to unlock three different character pictures, I you don’t want to pay. This would add more replay value as there would be an overall goal to reach. Even a win/ loss counter would be great. I have purchased the party pack and betrayal pack in the game and they both make really fun additions to the game. I also really like the extra cards they added to the core deck. There are just a few things I would change. First, the app doesn’t have “Nope” cards, and they are some of my favourite cards. Also, having the Imploding Kittens expansion pack I the game would be great. It has the second expansion in it, Streaking Kittens, but it doesn’t have Imploding Kittens. ✓ Amazing!I absolutely love exploding kittens! I play it with family online and with the actual cards. I love the barking kittens and streaking kittens packs, they’re lots of fun! Sometimes I like to play online with the normal deck and then rematch and change the pack to a non free one so that others can play it as well. And it’s often an easy win cause they are new to the pack 😉 I have been playing it for a while now and it’s definitely worth it! To anyone considering I definitely recommend! That said, there’s a bug I’ve been having regarding the hardest bot on single player. I have 21 wins against it and I still haven’t unlocked the skin! I payed for the other skins (Jesus, Marie curie, Shark, etc.) and unlocked the other two bot skins. I was excited to get it but still haven’t. ✓ ExperienceI love this game a lot! I also own the game in real life. But I wish there was more reason to play it on my phone then in real life. One way to fix this is if there was some sort of reward system for how well you did in a game e.g: levelling system or an in game currency. I think when levelling up or with the I game currency you should be able to add to customisation for either your profile or even be able to customise your cards (create or use your own pictures or unlock some cool new pictures made by you guys). ✓ Awesome game. Not luck.I’ve now beat the expert level AI 100 to 36. Probably around 5 of those losses were legitimate mistakes on my part. Once you know how many of each card there is and you keep track of what was played you can give yourself pretty good odds with the right strategy. Sure some luck is involved - which is why I lost a few. It’s kind of like poker in regards to luck. Yes you can get lucky or unlucky but skilled players win more often. Playing with more people makes it harder to know what cards are left. Currently I’m an expert 1 v 1. But I’m sure a good card player could calculate odds similar to poker games..Version: 3.3.1

Dev request - Can you put a mute sound button in-game? I love the sounds but when you’re in an online game with music playing, you don’t really want to leave the game just to disable the sounds. Also in game purchases pops up every time you’re about to go into a game (there is 1 pack to choose from but the others are behind a paywall, like some of the avatars as well). ✓ Better Played With OthersI love this game in general and was so happy to get the app. The game is really fun and I would highly recommend paying for the other decks (the last one is my favorite!). If you can get your friends to play that will be cool, and now during quarantine a lot of people are playing playing the online version so plenty of games to play. DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME ALONE! You don’t need that frustration. The AI with this game is very tricky and the fact you have to win a certain amount to move to the next level...it’s nerve wracking. Before, I didn’t notice but playing a lot this week I picked up on some AI trickery. I know this sounds like a kid screaming “the game is cheating” but a few times I saw something that was very confusing or thought I was going crazy then I knew something was up when I had the ability to arrange 5 cards. I put the card I wanted first and placed the kitten next for the AI to pick up (2nd spot) and put another kitten in the fourth spot. So, first & third were cards I wanted. I pulled my card and got the one I wanted and that’s when the switch happened. The AI pulled a card and nothing happen and then I pulled a card and it was the exploding kitten....boom...game over. Total deception but why??? Glitch maybe? Fix it if so. Update: I did the 5 card switch again and the AI drew but didn’t get the exploding so I switched the top card for the bottom card and still got an exploding kitten and lost the game..Version: 4.0.2

I have bought ALL the expansion packs for the board game, and my little sister even got “Bears VS Babies” for Christmas, which is another game developed by you guys. ✓ Amazing Game, but Glitches too muchFor Exploding Kittens fans, this game is a must! (It’s far better than the version for Netflix subscribers). It’s a nice twist on the card game, but with all the features that make the original so addictive. I love the sounds and graphics. The only reason this is a 4-star game and not 5 is that way too often the app will glitch or crash, disconnecting right in the middle of a game. Too often I’ve been about to make an exciting move or been on the verge of a win, when the app crashes and loses my game. You can tell it happens to others too since quite often your opponents will just disappear mid-game, even when they’re winning. If they can fix the glitch, this would be an easy 5-stars. The game itself is really fun and addicting but I believe a lot of players would appreciate a progression aspect. ✓ Fun Game but the Robot Cat on Single-player is RiggedI bought this game earlier this week and I’m enjoying it a bunch. The multiplayer feature where you can play with anonymous people is super fun and that’s where I enjoy the game most. It doesn’t take long to find matches and most games you will face 4-5 players which is when the game is most fun. The avatars are really creative and cute. I think the basic pack comes with some good icons. I’m taking off a star because the single player campaign is very much rigged, specifically the robot cat “boss” you unlock. There were several occasions where I would play specific cards to move the exploding kitten cards to the top of the deck so the bot could pick it up. However the bot would draw a regular card instead and it would give me the exploding kitten. On other occasions the bot would have an amazing starting hand to where I had little chance of even winning the game in the first place. Not sure how the bot algorithm works in single player but it is obvious the games are clearly rigged. I mostly enjoy the other features this game has to offer. Fix your single player mode and I’ll consider changing my review to a 5-star..Version: 4.0.6

✓ Great game but some things missingThis is a great game and I have the game In real life cards are great dlc sounds good but there are two things missing first of all Your missing the nope card sure your basically already have it with reverse but it’s not the same u can’t reverse a person with a cat card trying to steal your card side note to steal a card in real life u need two second of all it’s not free and I think if it was free more people would play the game and possibly people would buy more dlc if u do this I would change to 5 stars.Version: 4.0.2

✓ Face To Face GameplayI have played the physical version and do not regret buying this version as well although I feel like I’m still missing some gameplay. I would like to see a pass-and-play mode where my friends and I can all play on the same device and take turns trying to obliterate the other into millions of pieces. ✓ Love it, but has issuesLove the game, very quick to pick up on some pro strategies to outwit opponents, it’s fun, it has some great taunts to annoy other people but.... there are still connection issues such as if someone leaves just as the game begins it can freeze the game. Connectivity issues mid game can boot you out annoyingly. I play on iPhone X and it’s great, but on iPad Air 2 the screen doesn’t adjust properly, you only see the top half of the cards and no more than 5 or 6 cards show in a row. At least on iPhone X I can see 8 or more cards in a row. I do wish there were ways of getting all the avatars as I can’t seem to get the robot cat one with the laser eyes even though I’ve bought all the in game packs available. Reading some reviews, I also like the idea of extra perks or challenges. Apologies for the negatives, I would love nothing more for this game to be tweaked and improved as i play it constantly and is one of my ultimate favs..Version: 4.0.2

✓ Great GameI really enjoy this game. It only takes a few minutes to play a round, and while mostly luck of the draw, some strategy does keep you engaged. My favorite thing about this game is that it is straight forward with payment, unlike most games anymore. There are no ads! There are no coins, tokens, etc., to play, you can play all day with the core deck. If you choose to expand, you can pay an up charge for more cards. This is actually pretty clever as it gives you an opportunity to learn the game with some basic cards and then adds some extra options later. You can also pay for different avatars, but again, you don’t have to. When searching for a game, it sometimes asks if you would like to try one of the other decks for free. The only downside to this game is that it is limited to the players online at the time. Sometimes the lobby doesn’t fill up, or when you are playing, players quit. Also, you will be booted if your phone rings mid game. I would like to see the “Nope” card from the card game brought in. I recommend this game!.Version: 3.1.9
