✓ Good app but caused a problemThe app is great and I love the idea. I will definitely be using this as I decide what school I’m going to so I can meet people. However, recently my phone has been playing audio from videos on the home page. The audio will play randomly even if I haven’t used the app at all. Even closing all apps doesn’t make it stop. It will just play the audio on a loop over and over until I restart my phone. I just happened to go on the app today and realized that’s where it was coming from. Will be redownloading this app once I choose a school. But have to uninstall for now because of the glitch..RyderbrayVersion: 2.54.2

✓ DecentIt’s both helpful and useful, but has a few issues. It never saves your notification preferences for specific channels (you can choose between all messages, some, or none), so I get WAY too many notifications a day. It’s just annoying. ✓ Bring back desktop, pleaseThe desktop version allows you so much more freedom of expression across different mediums. The mobile app is so limiting, especially since the app crashes every time I try to record video. As I plan to major in film, I had video clips I planned to put on my profile. Unfortunately, that’s not an option anymore. My friend got into college by doing that. ✓ Keep on getting ghost messagesGreat app for connecting and its how ive found potential roommates, plus i love how they give surveys so you can actually tell whether you’d be compatible, however, i keep on getting ghost messages. i would check my notification bar to see that i got a private message from someone in the community im in but for some reason, it would read that the personalized message (eg omg i love that you watch [show] its my favorite too!) is in one of the group chats. when i press the notification though, there’s no indication that it was ever sent. this is the second time this has happened, and im a little bit confused. is this a bug? thanks!.SonydotcomVersion: 4.80.0

✓ Good app, but creeps…The app is good don’t get me wrong, and it’s nice seeing people from around my hometown using the app. But I was getting messages from random bots and people asking if they could use my face for their pleasure, and I kept getting called names like “beautiful” and “gorgeous” from like 40 year olds. They obviously didn’t try to hide themselves because their bios had their age and their pfp’s looked old. I don’t recommend this app tbh….-Dog LoverVersion: 4.69.0

Update: the customer service guy works really hard and reached out several times trying to help fix my problem however the issue still exists (⭐️—> ⭐️⭐️⭐️) ZeeMee’s app structure goes like this: 1. You like a school? Cool add them, but most schools don’t have any relevant content on the app? 2. A school is interested in you? Doesn’t matter if you are! They’ll add themselves to your network and KEEP re-adding themselves no matter how many times you remove them! Whoever made this app should be ashamed to have built it in such a way where colleges are able to select students to curate data from but students are not allowed to remove that college from spamming them with useless and repetitive advertisements..Deleting my reviewVersion: 2.56.0

✓ App still keeps crashingI’ve been using ZeeMee for quite a while at this point and I enjoy using it to meet new people, but there’s always been a consistent problem with the app. It’s laggy and buggy, and also crashes very frequently. However, the crashes have seemed to be getting more frequent lately, almost making the app unusable at times. ✓ NotificationsI really enjoy using this app. It’s just I either never get notified whenever someone has personally reached out to me, or I receive a notification but the message never loads. I would start a conversation and I would be notified about the person’s response with the regular iMessage banner, I would tap on the banner and be taken to the chat and the message would never appear or load. ✓ DisappointedThe website started off really good and the format was simple and clean. Now it looks messy overall and it’s extremely uncomfortable to use. The changes on the format were unnecessary, the website was fine the way it was. Please make the older desktop version an option. I spent time on my description of myself and now it’s gone, the update ruined the purpose of this for me. I’m a Junior and really wanted to use this as a part of my applications, but now I’m giving it a second thought. ✓ Really badly formatted appI’ve been using this to try to find a roommate but multiple times i’ve gotten notifications for dms and when i check they don’t show up. It’s a very frustrating app including the “view who visited your profile in the past few days” it doesn’t even show me who and if it does it shows a requested button. ✓ Good App, Could be GreatI really have enjoyed using ZeeMee to meet other students at the college I have committed to. However, I think it could use some serious improvements. First, I think specific religions should be included in the “interests” options so we can filter through roommates who have the same spiritual views (I’m Jewish and have been having trouble finding other Jewish students). Next, I think there should be the option to select more than one major/interest in the roommate finder search function, as being limited to a selection of 2 different majors/hobbies is not enough. While the app is helpful, it’s definitely far from perfect, and I understand that, but sometimes it feels as though ZeeMee is making my ability to find similar people more difficult than if I hadn’t been using it..Ooooh aaaahVersion: 4.53.0

✓ Unavailable Send ButtonZeeMee’s send button stays a light blue (the color that means you can’t push to send, typically only this color when there’s nothing in the type field) and won’t allow me to send the messages I type. I tried restarting my phone, twice, and it stayed the same. Then I deleted and reinstalled the app, twice, and it still won’t allow me to send messages. After I reinstalled the app, though, I also can’t view any of my previous dm’s, they’re all gone, and I can’t view the social or college channels I had access to before, they are there where I can click on them, but the screen all come up as white, and have no messages. ZeeMee, you need to figure out this problem, and get your act together, please. I used to like the app, and the only problem I had was my dm’s only loading back to a certain point, but this is the second time I’ve had this aforementioned problem, please fix this, I want to use the app..SnacksophoneVersion: 4.82.0

✓ Mixed feelingsI really loved this app before it got the new layout and makeover. Don’t get me wrong it’s fine now and everything but it’s honestly more complicated and less fun. What happened to the Accepted and Attending tabs? The only thing that gives you people is for Interested. It’s right around the time that college acceptances are being delivered and i would really like to share my status with other students! I was looking forward to using the find a roommate part of this app, and now there really isn’t much I can do. I also don’t like how the groups have been dissolved into just pictures. It was way more helpful to be able to group all the extracurriculars together and now they are all mixed without a general caption. ✓ NotificationsI really love this app it’s a Great way to communicate with people who are interested in the same college as you. The problem that I have is the app is not sending me any notifications. I have checked the settings on my phone and they are set so that I should receive notifications but the app isn’t sending me any and then when I go in it’s like I’ve missed a whole conversation or people have reached out to me about roommates and it seems like I’m ignoring them but it’s like I’m not getting the notification that they’ve texted me I really hope they fix this cause it’s a really good app.BdjdbccnVersion: 4.33.0

✓ NotificationsThis app has been great so far and really allows college students to connect. However, it’s kind of hard for us to connect when our notifications keep getting muted. I personally thought this was just a problem I experienced but after asking the people in my chat, I learned that I wasn’t the only one experiencing this. ✓ Good app, some QOL problemsGreat idea, my only problems are the ease of navigation and the notifications. For navigation, you have to use the right hand bar to go through chats, which is fine, but when the only way to exit the chat is a button in the top left it become a two handed task that’s kinda a pain. The notifications problem is that it is hard to disable. Everything comes turned on, so you have to turn everything off by hand which can be a lot. There are even options that say it will modify for the whole group/app, but it doesn’t work. So unless you go through each channel, it’s either all notifs on or all off..Desdinova12Version: 4.80.0

✓ Great App, Poor Notification PreferencesFirst and foremost, I think this app is a great platform when it comes to discovering other students attending colleges and finding potential roommates. However, I have been really frustrated with the app’s notifications. I specifically went through each channel and selected the ‘no notifications’ option for each one. Less than two hours later, I began receiving notifications, and, to my surprise, the notifications were reset back to ‘some notifications’. It is amoral as a developer to reset a user’s notification preferences after they specifically ask the developer not to send them. Yes, I could just disable notifications altogether from settings, but I was hoping to still receive notifications for my private messages outside of the college channels.
