✓ On the fenceI eagerly picked this up wanting to jump in to a new adventure after finishing Secret of Mana again. The visuals are acceptable for a mobile platform but lack a severe sense of originality. When compared to something like Legend of Mana this one’s visual style is bland at best. The music and sound effects are really good. The game borrows the sounds from past Mana games like the menu effects and I do enjoy using the updated inventory wheel system. The worst part of this game so far are the consumable pick axes (mattocks) and keys. Walls and locked doors will re-seal themselves once you’ve left the screen forcing you to use another consumable if you need to go back through that way. This is very annoying and has essentially turned me off of the game. I understand this is a remake of a Gameboy / GBA game but this should have not been included in 2016..MarkokabraVersion: 1.0.1

✓ In Game glitch prevents further progress!Was originally having fun. Until I hit a point where I needed a key but was unable to get a key because I could not leave the Kett's manor to purchase more. ✓ Game can be made unbeatableWell, I hoped this remake would have removed the ways you can mess up your entire adventure, but it has kept at least one in Glaive Castle. Advice to others: keep multiple saves and stock up on key chains. Always have all the keychains. I won't bother starting a new game for quite a while but it would be fantastic if Square Enix could patch the game to add some enemies with keychain drops in the "dead zones"..MalvolegVersion: 1.0.0

✓ This game is broken period. 6 hours wasted.I got poisoned early on and it just rips through all your HP, no way to cure it early on. I died to poison and now when I try to reload my save the poison kills me as soon as I load so I can't continue at all due to a broken game. Much later I'm in a underground volcano and can't advance or go outside cause I have run out of mattock's, 6 hours wasted on this broken game cause I didn't bring more than 35 mattock's with me. ✓ Aged poorlyThis is just a port of a PSP graphic update to a beloved game boy game that has aged very very poorly. While the polygonal 3-D graphics are snazzy, and the music as awesome as ever, the gameplay and storyline of this game were really never very engaging.....or fun to begin with. Control wise, if you have an MFI controller, then it plays perfectly but who cares when you’ll be endlessly grinding against flat uninteresting monsters in order to accomplish forgettable fetch quests thrown at you by cardboard characters in a mellow dramatic, convoluted “story” so contrived and so ham fisted that it makes daytime soap operas feel like Shakespeare by comparison? The game is riddled with game ending, unsolvable “puzzles” that involve doing asinine, ridiculously cryptic tasks like: walking around two trees in a the shape of a figure 8 until a secret door opens.....at some random, undisclosed place in the monotonous, one dimensional woods, that look like all the other woods. Without a walkthrough the game is virtually unbeatable. With the look and sound being as good as it is, if this game were a completely reimagined (True Remake) of Final Fantasy Adventure then I think they could justify the relatively steep price.... but as it is? This game is just not worth the money or the time. ✓ Not worth your money at the momentThis is the first app review I've ever written, hopefully it will save others some pain. Essentially, this is a solid game with a critical flaw. To pass through locked doors, you need to use keys. Keys can be purchased at a shop, or rarely dropped by particular enemies. However, there are points in the game where you need a key, and can't get to a shop or an enemy that will drop one. If you find yourself in one of these places without a key, the only thing you can do is restart the game from the beginning as the game becomes impossible to finish. I got stuck right near the end of the game in the temple of mana. On top of this, the game overrides auto saves, so you can't go back to an older save. ✓ Disappointed in S-EI have been a fan pf Square soft for close to 30 years, since ridge racer on NES, to have a game running at 20$ to purchase that has huge game breaking bugs on a “loading screen” is unforgivable. I have went threw every forum, ive restarted 3 times, everytime i save after the Vampire battle, which is a good hour in, it breaks the save file. I expect a 20$ game to have things like this fixed immediately when it is flagged, i found out its been flagged in the forums and app reviews for MONTHS... ✓ LameI was originally very excited to see a Final Fantasy Adventures remake. I remember playing it on Gameboy and it was honestly one of the best games ever, even better than Zelda in some respects. But this is 2016, and this game was supposed to be made for current iPhones and iPads and the graphics just look incredibly cheesy, especially the backgrounds. Back in the gameboy days I know you had to lay out simple block 8x8 squares of bushes or trees for example, doing the same here just looks awful. The feel of the whole game is just completely ruined. ✓ Dead Ends.I love this game but I've noticed some serious drawbacks that needs to be addressed to improve player experience: 1. When you die. Game over. Even if there is a quick save, it will bring you back to the moment of death. So, you are forced to save frequently, and the game is unforgiving if you forget to save. 2. Trapped in the Manor. Early in the game, when Fuiji is taken captive, you are to explore the manor but unless you have stocked up on keys, you WILL be trapped and can't progress forward. There are several locked doors requiring keys and the enemies drop everything but a set of keys. The game doesn't let you leave the manor after retrieving the mirror and entering the manor's lower levels. ✓ Good but a few problemsA good story line and simple gameplay for a mobile device making it very enjoyable. However there are a few bugs such as the screen going black and getting you stuck in a location. You then have to reload the game back to a previous point. Also, sometimes your attacks don't make contact multiple times despite being in front of enemies. I have also become stuck on the final part as for some reason all my keys have been deleted from my inventory when I made it to the Mana Temple. I had 8 keys before I went into the waterfall. I have tried fighting enemies on the first floor of the temple for ages as I can't go back down the waterfall. However no enemy drops keys so I can't get through the necessary door. Please help! ✓ Game Ending GlitchListen, I buy all the Square Enix games, every single Final Fantasy and these action RPG’s as well. But this game has a GAME ENDING GLITCH that occurs once you defeat Ifrit about halfway through the game! You get stuck outside of the dungeon without your Chocobo travel back over water and continue the story. It’s a shame, because it’s a really fun game up until that point. I won’t be asking for a refund because I like to support SE and hope they bring more games into the App Store, but please fix these type of things before releasing them.
