Sweat: Fitness App For Women for Negative User Reviews

A lot of hype and money which does not live up to expectationThis program is good in essence, and will achieve some results, however it is inflexible and relies upon complete adherence to all aspects, does not consider alternative lifestyles or budgets and even often changes your timetable, number of workouts and it’s core basis. Being based on a program of three resistance workouts plus separate cardio (BBG) it randomly adds workouts without warning which is not only difficult to fit in but intensely unmotivating. Extras like the ‘Sweat Challenge’ (June 2020) are not a supplement to the program but a complete change and do not work in tandem with any current program meaning you have to abandon your timetable and progress to take part. It may also be worth noting that the famed results demonstrated on social media are the result of strict adherence to the diet plan, which may not fit with a lot of users lifestyles or budgets, and likely additional exercise. Overall, the app is not very user friendly and lacks in some of the ease of use features and seamless functionality expected from such an expensive workout program: the planner is cumbersome, the HiiT timer does not have sound to count down, limited variations are available to view. I have paid for an annual subscription but will unlikely renew, as even in the case of a positive experience, after passing a certain stage, workouts are incredibly repetitive and you would no longer need the app..Version: 5.9

Didn internet will be more helpful- beware No refund policy on subscriptionsThe app should of had different pages for the different goals of exercise you were archiving and I found that every time I went to a certain group of exercise it would suggest another exercise to try which I was getting really frustrating with, I found the recipes were almost non existent and being a celiac there were literally nothing for GF which struck a cord with me since it’s such a big thing these days. I found the clips of the exercises extremely annoying as You try to get into the zone but you have to scroll down for the next exercise, Videos and talk overs would of been 100 times better because you’re not stopping and starting to look at your phone after every exercise. I honestly felt the internet had a lot more information with every aspect of this app, I would do the 7 day trial because I would of been so annoyed if I paid a month or a year upfront as THERE IS NO REFUND ON THE SUBSCRIPTIONS!.Version: 4.0.5

Not user friendlyThis app frustrates me to no end! I have the original Kayla pdf workouts so I’m already familiar with the program and decided to try the app because of the timing feature and demonstrations of the workouts but the app is SO CONFUSING. I started my workout on a saturday but the app is set on a monday-sunday schedule. I decided to work out and record it anyway and on monday it reset itself!! So annoying. This makes tracking my progress virtually impossible unless i work out on their schedule. There is also no option to pause the workout and the app doesn’t tell you what equipment you need beforehand. So when the next workout comes up and I need to go grab that dumbbell I can’t pause the app and lose time. I also wanted to restart a specific workout because I ran low on time and I wanted to complete it but the app forces you to move on. Also during the warm-up if you don’t keep the app open the timer pauses so if you ate listening to music and forget to go back to the app it doesn’t time and during the warm up you can’t see what workouts are coming up next without exiting. This is just such a poor user experience I would rather just time it myself and cancel this subscription. There isn’t enough value here and too high of a learning curve and it just doesn’t work as expected. I’m so disappointed. The app needs to be redesigned..Version: 3.6.2

Not enough targeted on demand workoutsI really love the workouts in this app. I will be cancelling my subscription however, as disappointingly there doesn’t appear to be very many on demand workouts for targeted areas. There also isn’t a simple search functionality where one could (for eg) search “Chest” to see chest specific workouts, or workouts that include chest specific exercises. I could only actually find one on demand workout that targeted the chest. I really hope these items will be addressed in future, I would definitely return and recommend to friends. Perhaps the app is best for its workout programmes - but I have my own schedule and would prefer to easily search for, and have access to, a big variety of accessible workouts for the areas I am targeting that particular day..Version: 6.26.1

App Crashes/Will Not Open ConstantlyWhatever updates have happened recently make the app slow to open, if it opens at all, and crash without warning. I have been using the Sweat app for over two years and since the iFit buyout, the app has presented technical issues for me. I looked online for a fix to this issue and it seems to be a known issue with no resolution outside of making sure your phone is updated to the most recent IOS (which mine is). Paying monthly for this subscription, I expect the app to work when I am ready to work out. Additionally, I do not like the automatic substitutions that the app makes based on assumed equipment in the “My equipment” section. Sometimes I work out at home, sometimes at the gym. It varies as I have a little one. This feature seems to only be targeted to people who work out at the same place all the time (which I feel is counter intuitive to the purpose of the application). I LOVE the programs and want to use this app when I am ready to work out because the workout programs are wonderful and the community is very supportive. However, some technical improvements need to be made for the end user experience to be what it used to be. If this issue persists, I will most likely choose a different app for my workouts..Version: 6.40

Super expensive$20 a month is ok maybe if you don’t have a gym membership but to pay for a gym membership and this app is ridiculously expensive when there’s millions of apps cheaper that do the same thing . Katy Hearn fitness for example . $5-$6 a month would be reasonable ..Version: 4.1.4

Poor customer serviceDidn’t even have the app and money was taken from my account, I contacted them immediately to explain I signed up for a trial but never even used the app but was given a oh that sounds like a you problem. Not supporting business who are willing to take money from people. Not impressed, used to follow Kayla before she became money hungry. Too bad....Version: 3.4.4

Terrible functionalityI downloaded this app so I could continue following Steph Sanzo’s workouts after completing her leg and arm workouts before Christmas I was excited to start ‘build’ program. I wish I never bothered I have now paid a large one of payment which I tried to cancel less then 24hrs after downloading and realising the app was not user friendly. You can’t see what is in your work out so planning in a busy gym is impossible, planning your timing is also hard as you don’t no if this is your last move or you have 4 more to go and if you come out of the program to check you have to start from the beginning again. There’s no dashboard to show your last used weights so how do you no what you should be moving up from ? I’m now stuck with app for a year unable to get my money back just because I wanted to see what it looked like. Don’t waste your money!! I’ll be going back to pen and paper and down £90 for the privilege 👎 I’m sure Stephanie program is great but this platform means I won’t be following it.Version: 4.0.2

Great App but SCAMGreat app but I was using for over 3 months. With a 3 month deal. I canceled it on the APP store subscription. Then I just got a charge to my PayPal under the company Bikini Body Training Co. LTD which is this company. It’s showing up no where on my Apple account which is very Sketchy... I can’t find anywhere to get refunded. Not only that when I log into the app it says my subscription is over. I clearly got charged and it’s very difficult to find any customer service. Beware!!!!.Version: 3.5

Free trial isn’t freeDispute canceling in under 7 days I just discovered that I have been billed even though I rec’d confirmation in the app that I had cancelled the FREE trial - I even did it before because I realized I wasn’t able to find the time and couldn’t justify the monthly cost. I work. I have kids. I know with completely certainty that I canceled and got the app even telling me that it acknowledged my “free” trial was canceled - now I just discovered they have been charging me. Not only are they robbing budget I don’t have they are robbing me of time tracking down the refund. If you were proper you would make it a true FREE trail and ask for credit card info only after the trail period if someone willingly opts in and don’t cheat and trick!!!!! The customer service reply is that they can’t issue a refund because of the sneaky way they require you to opt in for auto renewal through the App Store. I canceled in app and it gave me with completely certianty the sense I had been canceled and wouldn’t be charged - after discovering I was charged they say they can’t refund. What they can do is issue a free trial and then have you opt in to pay - this is a total scam and they are thieves that created a very sneaky and unethical free trial. I can’t believe not only have they charged me I have to keep pushing for a refund. Customer service isn’t acknowledging how sneaky they are. I have 3 small children. They are robbing this budget from them..Version: 4.2.3

👎I wanted to use an app for free but as soon as I signed up it asked me to pay..Version: 4.1.4

WORST APP EVER - Stole my money - BEWARE!Stole my money. Refused to refund even though I cancelled my subscription. Totally unacceptable customer service..Version: 3.4.4

Keep getting chargedI canceled my membership a few months ago because I find it way too pricy. Even though I canceled it, I keep getting charged!!.Version: 3.2.2

Poor Customer ServiceI was charged $19.99 for a subscription after I thought I had cancelled through the App Store when my trial ended. I hadn’t used the app on over two months and didn’t even have it installed. Customer service said there was no policy in place to issue refunds which is very disappointing seeing as I wasn’t even using the service..Version: 3.4.4

Good not greatIt’s not a bad app when the gym isn’t an option, but it’s probably not a good app for people just getting into fitness for the first time. The beginner workouts are hardly for beginners, I’m a fairly athletic person, and while I hadn’t worked out in a few weeks when I started using the app, the beginner workouts were still challenging for me, it would be pretty discouraging for someone who’s actually working out for the first time. The workouts go from 0 to 100 real quick too, the progression is way too quick, one week you’re on knee pushups and the next you’re doing full push-up burpees. It would be good to see the instruction video doing the exercises at a realistic pace as well, seeing only 2-4 reps of the exercise on repeat at a really fast pace is misleading and leads to people trying to maintain the pace demonstrated while compromising form. Having said all that I did enjoy the workouts for a while, Kayla can pack an intense workout into a short amount of time, but after doing the program for about 3 months I lost interest..Version: 6.17

Great workouts, app quality needs attentionOne the one hand I absolutely LOVE the workouts in the sweat app. The PWR program is incredible and the variety of other kinds of workouts when you can’t get to the gym or don’t have a lot of time is great. I never have to think about what to do at the gym, I just open the app. On the other hand, as a software developer myself, I am constantly baffled by the number of glaring bugs in every single update on the phone app as well as the watch app. I don’t think I have ever gone through a workout without encountering an obvious bug...just an an example in the latest release, I listen to google music and every time the timer stops and the next exercise starts the music pauses and I have to hit play again. On the watch app right now, the timer display stops updating if I look at it! So it will get stuck on a number and I have to keep track myself. Then when I hit next, the timer for the next exercise has already been counting down so I have to restart the section. I wonder if what seems to be the lack of concern over app quality is just because enough people keep paying for it that they prioritize new features over bug fixes.... I’m going to keep paying for it so I guess you could argue why does this feedback even matter?.Version: 5.0.5

Clunky user experienceI’ve followed Kayla and done some of her suggested exercises so I was excited to get more in-depth tuition through the paid app but I have found it to be clunky. Lots of annoying improvements need to be made which makes this hard to work out with. For example why wouldn’t you have sirens at the end of each of the warm up exercises so you know when to move to the next? Instead you have to keep checking your phone which is really annoying. Maybe someone to talk you through the movements would be great too? I dunno it all just feels quite badly thought out. Also if you start the week on a day the planner should shift to work around you? The recipe section is pretty basic too and I find that the app crashes every now and then. All in all I am pretty disappointed. I hope Kayla goes it alone and creates something better and more user friendly..Version: 4.2.3

Could be a lot betterI really wanted to like this app but I find a lot of problems with it that are more frustrating than helpful. For one, you have to have the app open to use the timers, ie. doing the warm up or a cardio workout. I prefer to watch a show or videos when I do cardio so it was kind of annoying that I couldn’t. Also, the app crashed several times when I was in the middle of a weight training workout and when I re-opened the app all my progress was lost so the only option was to re-start the workout, again, super annoying when you’re more than halfway through the workout! Also, there is no option to swap out an exercise for something low impact. I have an injury that prevents me from doing any type of jumping and I had to research alternatives for jumping jacks, mountain climbers, etc. on my own because the app didn’t provide any guidance. And my least favorite thing about the app is that you can’t skip a specific set and come back to it. My gym is relatively busy with limited weight equipment and there were times where I had to wait almost 20 min to do a set because the app wouldn’t let me skip and come back to it. Overall, I like the concept of this app and enjoyed the weekly calendar and the exercises, but I found a lot of flaws that I couldn’t look past and annoyed me, which made using it less enjoyable. Maybe if the app was free or less than $20/month I would have stuck with it!.Version: 4.0.8

Good App but needs some improvementsThe exercises are good and there are varieties of trainers but the price paid, it really should allow the users to work out offline. It seems counter-intuitive for a fitness app to promote being able to workout anywhere but only if you have a Wi-fi connections or cellular service. A user should be able to download workouts offline or use the app offline as a feature. Also there seems to be very limited express workouts available on the “On Demand” section. the search option “On Demand” exercises are is also a bit limited in what you can search for (I.e. not being able to search for targeted areas like if someone wanted to do a search for abs, or shoulders , etc.). Another thing noticed was whenever you search and schedule an On Demand workout, the workout is added on the calendar and once that’s done, you’re taken back to the main page again and have to navigate 3 or 4 steps back to your on demand search to schedule other workouts. Wished the app was smart enough to bring you back to the screen right before you scheduled that workout instead. Overall a good workouts, but they definitely need to make some updates to their apps. Been using for a year now and not sure I’ll renewal given so many other workouts apps that would allow offline workouts..Version: 6.13

It’s fineTl;dr: if you want a boring workout with just a set of exercises and a voice telling you which exercise it is while a timer counts down, this is for you. If you believe working out is something more, I’d try Alo Moves instead. The longer you use this app, the more repetitive the workouts become. Not just within a trainer’s program, but across the board. There’s no enthusiasm from the trainers and there’s no engagement even in the pilates and barre classes, which is not typical for those types of workouts. I unfortunately signed up for annual membership thinking there had been improvements made to the workouts (what with the constant “updates”) but the focus seems to be on just adding more workouts, not adding diversity or evolving the app. I have contacted customer service but whether or not I’ll get my money back for workouts I don’t enjoy, remains to be seen..Version: 6.19.1

Can’t track past workouts correctlyI’d like to be able to add past workouts of any week on the exact day/time of my workout to track what I’ve done. Right now I can only mark my Resistance Trainings as completed and if I miss tracking one day, I have to go back to the previous week and lose any progress on the exact date/time. It shouldn’t be so complicated. I’ve been using more my Fitbit app that has this feature. I can track any type of workout any day at the exact timeframe. It works flawlessly and it’s easy to use. I’ve ended up using Sweat only for the Resistance Trainings, but I also have the PDFs so I’m not seeing a lot of added value in the app. The only added value I can see is the menu/food section which is really good. The down part is that I do meal prep once for the entire week as I don’t have time to cook separate meals every day, so I end up not using it a lot either. I also find the “share” pop-ups annoying after every workout. I’m working out for me (for my health, strength and benefit) so I don’t understand why there’s so much sharable content within the app. It’s a fitness app, not a social network. I get that there’s a “community” factor in there but maybe the pop-ups stay in that tab for the people who need that sort of motivation/engagement..Version: 4.0.8

Need to buy equipment nowI used this app a couple of years ago when I was a student because it was cheaper than gym memberships. It was good because it claimed that you could work out anywhere, and you could - most exercises relied on your own body weight/resistance. As you advanced it did seem like you needed to buy additional equipment but as I was unable to spend money I used to go back to old workouts that didn’t have these requirements. I have redownloaded the app as I did find the guidance of workouts really good. The app has changed significantly but that’s to be expected however even the beginner week workouts require you to have at least pre purchased dumbbells and resistance bands. Extremely frustrating to open the app to workout to find that I have to go out and make a load of purchases first, which is also counterintuitive to the whole point of the app. Definitely can’t “workout anywhere” anymore.Version: 5.5

Rip Off!!I signed up thinking I have a seven day free trial first before deciding if this was for me or not. I was instantly charged for a full year!! I tried to cancel everything on the app and through my Apple ID and the payment was processed anyway. I am not impressed with this at all!! I hadn’t even tried the App as I had just downloaded This is a complete rip-off and a money grab!! Please refund immediately!! I have no interest in using this app anymore now!! I have tried to reach Support for the App and they will not respond at all. $125.99 out 😡😡😡.Version: 5.4.3

Love the app, not the updateI have used this app for over a year and I am in love with it. However, as excited as I am about the update and the new work outs that came with it, I am not a fan of the new layout. It looks messy and it is more difficult to navigate. Moreover, I do not understand why it now only shows the number of the reps per side instead of the full amount as well as per side. Furthermore, the weeks of BAM after week 12 do not support the trainer audio feature, which means I have to look at my phone to keep up with the work outs, even if the yoga pose I am in means I should be looking to a different direction or having my eyes closed. This is very unfortunate, because it removes the calming effect of the work out. I really hope there will be another update fixing some of these things. That being said, I still like the app and I would highly recommend it..Version: 4.0.0

DisappointedThis app is extremely frustrating and not worth the money when you can easily go to Instagram and find a workout routine. I love that I can see the demonstration of the workout. However, it jumps immediately to the next workout with the clock still ticking meaning I’m wasting time watching what I need to do and trying to grab equipment suddenly. You can pause it, but how is that helpful to cover up the workout I’m trying to watch before completing it myself? I’m sure it’s great when you’ve been doing the program for awhile and know the routine. Also, I’d assume that while it has a trainer talking and a timer going it would notify me when 30 seconds is up on a certain workout like a plank? When I look to start the cool down routine, it just starts the workout over! The workouts are hard for beginners even though it’s ‘beginner’. I have terrible knees and I look for alternatives when it comes to knee ups, so I waste more time on the clock trying to find something else to do. “Alternative” just suggests something more challenging. You definitely have to figure out on your own how to guide yourself through the app as well as the workouts. The community board is useless trying to search for specific questions. As for the ‘progress’ not everyone cares to take pictures, it’d be great to track weight progress and measurements w/o requiring a photo..Version: 4.2.0

Cancelled and was still billedI downloaded am Don signed up for the free trial out of curiosity. After viewing the workouts I decided it was not for me and cancelled. I was very disappointed when I was still billed after the free trial. I emailed them to explain what happened and they would not refund. Disappointing 😔.Version: 3.4.4

Not freeFree to download not free to use. Subscription required..Version: 3.2.2

Abusing the systemDear App Store, Please crack down on apps like these that categorize themselves as free apps which offer in-app purchases, for which you actually can’t do anything in without committing to a 7 day trial followed by paid membership (actually the most expensive option), or directly choosing paid membership (the cheapest option being paying for one year upfront). You can’t see anything inside the app without choosing one of these options and there are no details about the cancellation process if you choose not to continue after the trial. This is dishonest and I believe it abuses being listed as a free app..Version: 3.4.2

Should be able to download workouts to use offlineI ended up cancelling my subscription because it wasn’t very accessible for me - I wasted 9 months of a 12 month subscription being unable to use in my job. I work on cruise ships where I pay $4 per hour, for internet. That makes it very expensive to use. There should be a function where you can download that weeks workouts to the app (like with Netflix) for use offline. That way I could download at a cafe in port and use in my off time on the ship. I also travel a lot so cannot use the app outside to do workouts unless I pay roaming fees for the data. Fitness on the road is SO important! ... I also wasted almost another year of subscription when I travelled for a year but could rarely use it (hostel internet and 10 bed dorms are also not conducive to following the programme!) PLEASEEEE add a download to the app function for us nomads out there! I would love to be able to follow the programme for more than 4 weeks at a time🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼.Version: 5.17.2

Please let us chose what week to doI have been using the app for around 6 months, 6 days a week. I was doing Pwr and finished week 24 and absolutely loved it however I was so excited to see the new Build program to change it up and do something different. But much to my disappointment I see it won’t let me do any other week than beginner week 1. I have been doing weight training for quite some time and want to be lifting weights more than 3 times a week like the program will let me. Also weeks 1-4 are the exact same thing which is quite boring when I am used to different things and more variety with Pwr. Please change the app so that we can chose our week or at least how many times we want to train..Version: 4.0.2

How can you not even refund people, it’s fraudIve enter the program and I really didn't like it , not at all .. very complicated to set . I wanted to get a refunds but they don’t refund our money even if you quit the program . They propose to get a free 7 days trial but they charge you almost 137$ for nothing , they said its like 9.99$/months but no they take your money and they app sucks . Its even worst then buying somethig on Wish ... im really disapointed it want my money back.Version: 4.1.4

Beware! Grossly misleading monthly charge informationI am absolutely disgusted with this app, and it’s deceiving advertising. I was interested in downloading the app so I web on and had a look at what it cost. Being a uni student I was enticed to the “$119 a year price, $9.99 BILLED MONTHLY option. I was under the impression that if you sign up to a subscription that states the yearly fee is broken up into $9.99 billed monthly then that is what you would pay. However, as soon as I put my card details in I was charged the entire $119 a whole years worth in one transaction. Their adverting is completely misleading and deceiving. I contacted their support team only to be told there is nothing they can do and that the transaction that went through was correct. I would not have signed up had it cost me $119 in one transaction. Why even both having the $9.99 in brackets BILLED MONTHLY if this is not what you are going to charge people. I will be forwarding on my complaint to consumer affairs as this is false adverting and drastically misleading the consumer..Version: 4.2.7

Iffy...I was excited to download this app as I’d seen progress photos and been following Kayla on Instagram for some time. However, I’ve been sadly disappointed in it. The UI, for me, is too messy and can get confusing. The workouts, although well laid out, I find it frustrating to have to keep pressing ‘next’ to follow the workout. My whole purpose of downloading this app was so I didn’t have to use my phone and instead, use my Apple Watch. The app doesn’t even sync my workouts to the health app let alone using it on my watch. I will say that I think having the videos on the watch is a brilliant idea and eliminates the need for a phone! What I was most looking forward to was the diet plan section of the app as I tend to nibble throughout the day and I’m really struggling to control my cravings/hunger. Again, this part was disappointing for me as someone who is on a tight budget and therefore can’t afford to eat so many costly meals in a day - it also started to become confusing and frustrating for me to do my weekly shop and I eventually gave up very quickly. Unfortunately, I feel the Nike Training app to be of more use for me as it’s more simple than this and I don’t feel this is worth paying £15/month when I can get the same for free (minus the diet plan)..Version: 3.5

“Free trial”?So I downloaded this app and cancelled after about 6 days as it wasn’t all that I had hoped. Within the app there is a button that says “CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION”, I was then charged $22 dollars. After contacting Apple support this is the answer I received: “I would like to inform you that the subscription will not cancel if you cancel within the app”. So either I’m the only one on the planet that doesn’t know this ‘obvious’ piece of information, or this is extremely misleading and basically steals your money. Just a warning for everyone..Version: 3.5.1

Workouts great, app annoyingI was doing Kayla Itsines BBG workouts, which I loved. The app is about making progress, but it doesn’t let me record my progress properly. It is just annoying. The app seems to really messed up the days I did my workouts on, and I can’t put them in retrospectively, which seems to be a recurring theme throughout reviews I’ve read. Also, I missed one workout last week, and then coming back it seems to have deleted all my previous workouts I had in the calendar under activity. Very frustrating..Version: 4.0.6

Would not recommendI started a one week free trial to check the app out before purchasing but after registering told me program starts on Monday! Also once you choose a program and wait for it begin you can’t check out other work outs and have to wait day by day to see whats on. I definitely won’t recommend.Version: 4.1.4

Gets clients by proposing a free trial but made me pay right away!Ok so I used to be on BBG BEFORE my pregnancy. I am 7 months post partum and they proposed me a 7 days free trial. (Note here that i said I used bbg before, so not a new client) Seeing as there is more than one program on this app, when they proposed me 7 days free trial DIRECTLY IN THE APP I USED A YEAR AGO (so they know im not a new client RIGHT?)- I said to myself HUM I could try the post pregnancy program... which i never did!? so I gave a try to the 7 days free trial but it CHARGED ME the 1 month right away BEFORE even telling me it was charging me, that I wasnt elligible for a free trial since I had been a client already... So I emailed the customer service, they told me apple should have told me i couldnt have the 7 days free to contact them. Which I also did and never got a damn answer from apple, i had to retry to get a damn refund to get an error message telling me I am not elligible for a refund. What a waste of energy and time AND money. I didnt even like the post pregnancy program so I CANCELLED my supposedly free trial (HAHA) after a couple days. I am beyond frustrated with the management of this situation..Version: 4.1.4

WILL STEAL YOUR MONEYSigned up for a 7 day trial then cancelled and found out 8 months later I had been charged 19.99 a month to my credit card AND with no billing notifications!!! Be aware this app is ethically corrupt..Version: 5.4.1

Great app but needs workI would love to say first that this app is like an awesome combination of mapmyrun and myfitnesspal. It gives you the option to track what you eat, gives you recipes and shopping lists, and allows you to schedule your workout week and plan your workouts. The workouts are high-rep, body weight exercises but if you do them, they’ll wear you the heck out!! My legs were more sore after the first leg day workout than they have been in quite some time. After only three weeks of training I’m already seeing results! One issue I have with the app is you have to keep it open for your entire workout which totally drains my phone’s battery. It would be great to have an option to flow through the circuits without having to pause and press on an arrow, which stumps my motivation as I’m pushing through the last few reps of one exercise and starting the next. You also have to keep the app open during your entire cardio workout (ESPECIALLY during HIIT days) and doesn’t voice how far you’ve gone, when you’re done, or for HIIT, when to work/rest unless you’re looking at your screen. This is just my opinion as I don’t like being very hands-on with my phone when I’m dripping with sweat! 😜 The last issue I have is with the mile tracking. I’ll have both mapmyrun and sweat open at the same time and sweat will have twice the mileage I actually ran on mapmyrun. Like I said before, this app is really awesome but with a few tweaks, could be absolutely incredible!.Version: 3.7.1

Crashes constantly otherwise would have been 5*Pros - love this app and the variety of workouts here. Cons - The meal plan / nutrition side is poor compared to other apps but I use this purely for the training programmes. The biggest problem I have found is in the last 3-4 weeks the app takes several attempts to open and to stay open. I have kept the app updated and re-downloaded the app but still the problem persists. It takes 20-25 seconds to open (stays on the pink screen for this period) and then it crashes and shuts down. I have to do this three or four times and today, during a workout it just shut down. Frustrating isn’t even the word. Please fix this issue - I want to stay with Sweat but will have to go to another alternative if this problem persists for another week. So glad I only pay monthly otherwise this would have been a total waste of money..Version: 6.24

Feeling discouraged and frustrated. The app overall is pretty great and has useful features, however it’s left me feeling discouraged and defeated. Well actually it’s just the one program I’ve been attempting for weeks, without being able to make it through an entire workout, that has made me feel incredibly insecure and unmotivated. I haven’t been able to get past BBG Zero Equipment “Beginner” without failing a resistance workout. I’d say I’m fairly fit and able to exercise, and I’m definitely not new to doing workout routines, however I just feel that the label “beginner” is a bit deceiving and limiting. I understand the idea is to jump right into it and push your limits, but I feel that there should easier workouts in the “beginner” program. I mean it’s all relative and maybe it’s just me who’s found the 4 week beginner program too hard, but it’s really impacted my relationship with exercise and made me begin to hate workout routines. Maybe I’m not cut out for the app and it’s just too hard for me, or maybe I’m just not disciplined enough to continue pushing. I just find the “beginner” workouts to be excruciating and unfulfilling, and I’ve had to stop midway through holding back tears of pain and frustration. This all makes me feel really apprehensive to renew my subscription when it comes time to, because I’m unlikely to continue using an app that doesn’t feel fulfilling or worthwhile..Version: 6.0.2

So sad and disappointedI was so looking forward to using this app to help guide and aide me into losing well over 60+ pounds , however when I went to sign up the wording and subscription info was very misleading and unfortunately worded terribly. I thought I was agreeing to 9.99 a month , not a paid in full charge of 135.95$ for an entire year... why put 9.99 to make people believe they’re paying monthly and then charge the full pop. I had to request a refund through Apple, and thankfully they are giving it to me but if they couldn’t I would be in a really bad position right now. Again, I’m sure the app is good and I truly wish I could’ve used it , however 135.95 I just could not swing that. Maybe try the 9.99$ ☺️.Version: 5.4.3

Dishonest and misleading when cancelingI loved that this app offered a free trial before having to pay for the subscription, because in my opinion, it’s a pretty expensive subscription. The app turned out to not be a great fit for me, so I canceled before the trial was up so I wouldn’t get charged...or so I thought. I went to “manage my profile” and scrolled down to the bottom and clicked “CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION” at which point a big pink pop-up said “SUBSCRIPTION CANCELED” and then asked me to choose a reason for leaving. It then took me to iTunes where nothing on the page indicated that I needed to do anything further. Today I saw on my bank account that I had been charged for the first month’s subscription, so I did a little investigating, and even though the app has a big pink pop-up telling you “SUBSCRIPTION CANCELED” it turns out you have to scroll all the way down on the App Store page to CONFIRM the cancellation. Yes, it’s my mistake for not reading the fine print beneath the “SUBSCRIPTION CANCELED” but I feel it’s extremely misleading and dishonest wording on behalf of the Sweat app. How about “CONFIRM CANCELLATION THROUGH THE APP STORE” or “BEFORE YOU CONFIRM ON THE APP STORE, tell us why you’re leaving.” Or even a simple “ALMOST DONE” would have worked. $20 may not be a big deal to some, but it’s still $20 I could have happily used elsewhere in my budget. But now I’m just out $20 for an app I won’t use this month. Very annoyed..Version: 3.7.1

Scam!!They have a tutorial online to cancel the app from the apple subscription but nothing in particular for paypal. I kept checking my subscription acct to make sure it has been cancelled but they fail to inform that because i paid via PayPal that I will have to cancel it on the PayPal website. SCAM!.Version: 3.5

It’s good but needs improvementI got this app bc of all the buzz and great reviews! This app is very confusing, I’m very tech savvy I used to work with computers and cell phones so I’d say I know more about technology than the average person. When you first open the app it has all these sections ( post baby, flow resistance, power, etc....) I thought I had to do all of those as part of the program. When I first signed up I chose the BBG so I was so confused as to why all these other workouts were coming up! So I figured that out and then the workout program I chose is specifically for at home where you don’t need equipment . So when it’s telling me to jump rope I don’t have that and I’m in my house, and telling me I need a bench I can’t do those workouts either. And then I press for alternatives and all of those include the equipment I don’t have too. This is very frustrating so I have to do complete alternatives. Lastly, some of these workout don’t have easier options. I hurt my back recently and some of these exercises I can’t do yet and it gives no easier or back friendly alternatives. And sometimes this is the entire workout so it’s really a bummer. I mean even if you guys included a Pilates based program that would be great for the back. So on those days I go on the Fit Radio app which is an amazing alternative and have multiple different options so even if your hurt they still have a workout for you..Version: 3.4.4
