What Dog Experiment for Positive User Reviews

Works on humans!I find it fun to use on humans! I like to try and draw people as dogs lol. It’s kind of a fun activity to do if you’re bored! Find out what dog you are! Not all pictures work though.Version: 1.2.3

Perfectly recognised my two dogs!Correctly identified both of my dogs. Amazing app!.Version: 1.0

A Fetchin Good Time! 🐶🐾This app is super cool. I've never seen any other app like this in my life. Though it's not always accurate, from what I've done, it's been pretty good. I love how you can make different scrapbooks and even test things other than dogs! If your a dog lover, then you'll love this cute and fun app, even if it's not 💯% accurate..Version: 1.0

IT'S GOOD DESPITE THE OTHER REVIEWS!!My dogs are little rescue puppies and when we got them we had no clue what they were. I found this app and tried it out and it gave me one main option as well as several others on what they could be which was great! A lot of people are complaining though. Of course the app needs to be updated, the interface is a bit dated. But the idea that the app isn't 100% accurate it ridiculous. OF COURSE IT WON'T BE 100% CORRECT, YOU'RE ONLY SENDING IN A PICTURE NOT A DNA SAMPLE! This is the best free app there is no question it gives you all the information you need. If you want complete accuracy buy the $5.99 app or get your dog a DNA test!!.Version: 1.2.3

This app was a load of fun!My kids and I had a fun half an hour with this app. It was awesome. My daughter kept trying to fool it to no avail, it pegged her as human every time... Until she put her hair over her face and wore some cat ears. It recognized the cats, too, unless the lighting and framing was bad. Sad it didn't have my American Bulldog Performance- or Scott-type dog, but too bad. Or mix breeds. It identified my dogs as AmStaff with a scary description of how strong and fierce they are (and they need to be behind a fence!) when they are the easiest-to-train and friendliest dogs I have ever been responsible for..Version: 1.0

Please bring back this wonderful app. This app is pretty good. The web version doesn't have all the fun and functionality. Please bring the mobile version back!.Version: 1.5.2

HilariousTake pictures or use photos of your friends for amusing responses..Version: 1.2

Genuinely ImpressiveAccurately guessed 4/5 dogs..Version: 1.0

Quite accurateIt's like a pokedex for dogs! haha love it😂😂.Version: 1.0

Don't judge a book by its reviewsOk, so this app isn't the most accurate. And yes, the photo function could be better. This app have had 'ruff' reviews, but none focus on the 'paw'sitive side. Maybe not all the breeds are there, but it does tell you what you need to know about that certain breed. Give it a chance!.Version: 1.2.1

Really cool app!I've always wanted an app like this. I just think the concept is just so cool and I love dogs. And it's really accurate too. It's a very well made app..Version: 1.0

🐕 Lol it's great 🐩You can't seriously think an app will guess your who-knows-what mutt accurately?? Did you expect some Houdini-magic?? And also; Of course this app won't have every dog breed on the planet. It also depends on the lighting and the angle you take your photo. Look, honestly, this is very good for an app that just analyzes your dog's photo and matches it with bing images. I have 2 Siberian Huskys and I did my white puppy who was looking out the window. Know what she got? Dogo Argentino and Eskimo Dog. That's pretty good. And I love how it gives you facts about different dog breeds! Great source of quick-information! I rated it 4 stars because my dog had a fairly thinner face than a Dogo Argentino and she had a visibly curlier tail and pointy ears. Still, Dogo Argentino and Eskimo Dog were very good and close guesses. It recognizes color more imo, to stop the 2.4 stars it could recognize bodily structure and different poses of it, too..Version: 1.2.3

Great fun for the kidsThe kids had a great time taking pictures of our dog, of themselves and us and of all their stuffed animals. The app correctly named our Labrador, a little more issue placing the more anatomically correct stuffed animals. Our favorite family photo was where it said my daughter was an Australian Shepard and my son was a sheep! Lots of fun for young families..Version: 1.0

Wow not too bad!I already know my dogs breed totally did this for giggles. This app was on point! Of course different pics of him came up with different results but surprisingly they were still pretty close. I’m happy with this free purchase:).Version: 1.2.3

Wow, Didn’t expect that tbh.I think that this app is mostly accurate. It took a while for it to get my dogs breed, but that’s because the photos had to be 100% clear. If they are a mixed breed then they are pretty hard to discover, I tried it with a few photos that weren’t actually dogs and it still gave me some results and sometimes it didn’t. I think it’s cool that this app just scans over a picture and notices features that belong to your dog, it also tells the history of your dog but some of the info is wrong. Like the height of some dogs are usually taller or smaller than the average number. it also had some glitching in the start that prevented me From choosing a photo. I recommend taking more than one image of your dog and I think it’ll be accurate. Overall, it’s good and pretty accurate. Thank you and Bye!.Version: 1.2.3

Bring back The app plsI had that before but when I checked it did END and pls START it again - Scarlett 🇬🇧🐶 PS. I love dogs pls start the app again :(.Version: 1.5.2

Love this appIt works very well :) love it.Version: 1.0

Not too shabbyThis app is actually pretty good for what it is. I was surprised to find that it accurately identified quite a few photos that I presumed would have been misidentified as different breeds. Nonetheless, it isn't always accurate, but is definitely fun to try with mixed breeds. It will be entertaining to run more photos through it to see how consistent the results are. And for those of you complaining about misidentified breeds that you think should be easy because the photo was of a popular breed like a lab, just remember that with popularity comes variations. Some popular breeds also share many characteristics with other breeds which make accurate identification that much harder. All in all, I would say it's a pretty cool app and worth trying regardless of whether you actually have a use for it or you're using it for fun..Version: 1.0

WorksWorks perfect.Version: 1.0

Love itGreat app. Surprisingly accurate!.Version: 1.0

Great for General info!I have an idea what kind of breed my dog was but could never put two and two together. I feel like this app is definitely for fun but also gives you a high probability of the type of breed you have on your hands. Just be aware not all breeds are currently available for identification so you may get an off result if you have a special or uncommon breed, but all in all I'm very satisfied!! 4 stars!! Every app can use improvement! Add more breeds and possibility for mixed breeds?!.Version: 1.0

I recommend to all!!!!This is a really fun app plus It's fun to use a picture of yourself and see what dog you are! BUT sometimes it doesn't work with pictures of dogs. Sometimes it will tell you the wrong breed instead of the Breed your dog actually is. Still I give it Five stars!.Version: 1.2.1

....LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.Version: 1.2.3

Cool applicationNice work.Version: 1.0

Dang closeI was so ready to give this app a 1 star but I decided to try again and glad I did. The first pic I did of my 10lb mini long hair Docksin came up as a Brittney I was a little disappointed but then I tried a better pic and then it gave me a Docksin. I then tried it on my Aussi and it guessed right the first time. I also for fun tied my cat and it told me nice try! This is a pretty fun app after all..Version: 1.0

Smarter than I thought it would be.Yeah. I thought this was gonna be something dumb like that old google translate for pets app. Nope! It's extremely accurate so long you have a good quality photo and you don't take a blurry picture. Lots of fun when you take a blurry picture of a human though. "I believe this is not a dog" made us crack up so much. Even though you rarely see Havanese, this app immediately said "I believe this is a Havanese." I'm really impressed. I hope to see more cool apps like this soon..Version: 1.0

Not always accurate, but who cares?I downloaded this app knowing that it wouldn't always be accurate, but I was still pleasantly surprised. Yes, it doesn't always correctly identify my chocolate lab, but it does usually at least list it in the top three options or so. But it still does really well for a mobile app, and you have to give Microsoft credit for how much they were able to accomplish. Add in things like its ability to do things like identify humans as dog breeds and other fun stuff, and I'd say this app is worth any dog lover's while..Version: 1.2.1

Solid startNice fun app, can id major breeds of dogs. It works well if you take the photo mostly of the dogs face at level with the face. Typically will id the major breed in a cross bread. I assume will improve as they add breeds to the training set (calibration), FYI not something users need to understand..Version: 1.0

Amazing app – it recognised my dog!Wonderful!.Version: 1.0

Thank you!I've been looking for the breed of my dog I rescued off the streets. I decided to test it out before a quick visit to the vet, and it was 100% accurate!.Version: 1.0

Found a different use for it.Haven't tried it on dogs yet but have tried it on people instead. Interesting to see what dog the app decides the person looks like. Brilliant!!.Version: 1.0

When you just don't know "what kind of dog is that?"I spend a larger degree of time than I perhaps should looking at dogs. Having worked in a rescue center I have probably seen more combinations of dog breeds that I thought possible and sometimes, you just have *no* idea what kind of dog is coming through the door. The ability to snap a couple of pictures and get an answer, even a percentage estimate, is a pretty cool tool. Plus if you just like snapping pictures of dogs, it's pretty good for educating too! 👍🏼🐶.Version: 1.0

Great! My dogs are all mixed and so none of the readings were accurate.. BUT THAT'S EXPECTED. Sometimes different angles would show different results but of course that will happen, it's pictures being reviewed not full analytical videos with measurements. I did also do one picture of my friend's dog, a boxer, and of course it was accurate! This app is more accurate with non mixed breeds but that should be common knowledge. As for those of us with special mixed puppers, it's still fun to see what the app will guess. I love it!.Version: 1.2.3

Witchcraft!I did a pic of my Australian shepherd and it got it right, okay cool. Did a pic of my cat and it totally called me out on it saying it was not a dog but a cat... Creepy. I then used photos from the museum of natural history in DC I took, an Arctic fox, it said it was a Samoyed which, honestly is pretty darn close. I use another museum pic of a dingo, it said it was a Sheba Inu....which again is creepy close considering this is an app for domestic dogs. It even got my bosses white lab right. Spooky good!.Version: 1.0

Years of searching what breed my dog was!!This app actually found the exact breed which shocked me! It pinpointed it! I had never known for years and almost was going to get those hundreds of dollars genetic testing kits to find out what he was..Version: 1.0

AccurateTried it on a bunch of dogs in my photo library and it’s been bang on. This is awesome..Version: 1.2.3

Very enjoyableThe best thing is that they guessed my cross breed dog and got it right!.Version: 1.0

Fun!I put pics of all the dogs I have had as an adult. This app was really accurate and just fun. It couldn't figure out what our little toy/mini poodle mix is...He wighs about 7 pounds, and they said he was a "powerful Black Russian Terrier." That was just funny. He has long legs and looks like a black sheep. But the app did get our cocker spaniel, golden retriever, corgi mix, and havanese mix..Version: 1.2.3

Best app everTake a photo of your friends to find out what dog they look like. Hilarious!!.Version: 1.0

It’s so helpfulSo I got my puppy Luna when I visited my grandma’s in the country that I’m from and from the start I couldn’t figure out what breed she was and so I been searching the internet and nothing. I gave up but When I saw this app Installed and it is THE BEST helper because I finally found out that my puppy is mix between two breeds. If your having trouble then this app is what you need..Version: 1.2.3

AccurateI have used this frequently since I adopted a rescue that was believed to be around 2 months old. The app has been consistent enough that I decided not to get a DNA test. The “not a dog” response happens occasionally, but errors are to be expected with new technology..Version: 1.2.3

Fun!Great little app and a lot of fun. It correctly picked the breed of both of my dogs (a mastiff and a Great Dane) and it figured me for a Labrador retriever (I'll take it). I was able to trip it up with a photo of my cat, which the app thought was an American Eskimo dog. Well, the cat sometimes thinks he's a dog, so close enough....Version: 1.0

At least give them creditEveryone is scoring this app so low, yet there's nothing that's ever been like it. I realize, even myself, it's not 100% accurate. But dang, think about it, this app is identifying the breed of your dog. That's like secret-agent-searching-a-database-full-of-people stuff. Plus, if it gives you different answers often..then go with the average one it picks majority of the time. I have like a miniature Black Lab that's mute. That was my guess and that's what Fetch! guesses majority of the time..Version: 1.2.1

Great intuitive appGood fun and also very knowledgeable. Accurately guessed many dogs when tested. Thanks Microsoft!.Version: 1.0

PromisingIt's a little rough around the edges obviously, but few apps have amused me as much as this one. It needs a bit of refining, but I've definitely had a lot of fun with it so far..Version: 1.0

Works on my iPad 3, iOS 9; Doesn't work on my iPhone 5, iOS 10I love the concept, but the app wouldn't work on my phone. [See my update below.] I tried to take a picture with it, to even import a photo, but no response except for a sound effect of pushing the button. I checked out the "what-dog" website that the app is based on, and that works just great. Please update this app. *** My update: The app works great on my iOS 9 iPad 3. I guess it just either needs an update for iOS 10, or my iPhone 5 is just having a rough time with it. I'm glad I could see it working on my iPad. Thanks for the great app, Microsoft!.Version: 1.2.1

Great App Love the fun mode tooThis is s great dog identifier app. I love this app, it really does identify dogs in real time and the fun mode is awesome too! Thanks so much.Version: 1.0

AmazingThis app was just great at finding the breed of your dog. It was always interesting to find out what breed my dog was and other breeds it looked similar to. It is sad to see it go, but I hope they bring it back someday. Until then, you can use the website..Version: 1.5.2

Fun little appGot one of our chihuahuas wrong, but fixed itself on the second try....Version: 1.0

Just for fun...So I downloaded this app even tho I am rather good at seeing a dog & knowing the breed....but I found it AWESOME that this app had my dogs breed listed (Anatolian Shepherd Dog) too bad tho that the app first guessed that it was 99% sure he was a Leonberger; which we often get asked if he is he's not so I reported the result as incorrect. On the second guess tho the app guessed he was 76% ASD to bad there isn't a thumbs up report button so you can tell them the app got it right.😉 Fun app tho!.Version: 1.0

I found my dog's breed!I have had my dog for almost 4 years but I never knew her breed. My sister's, boyfriend's, mom's, coworker was the original owner. We never knew her breed till I put her pictures on the app. I did a few pictures but most of them came up with Tibetan Spaniel or Chihuahua. I looked up Tibetan Spaniel Chihuahua mix and there were pictures that looked exactly like my dog. Breed tests are $50-$100 where I live so I'm glad I found her breed for free :D.Version: 1.0
