✓ One star for now...Greetings, I just bought the 125TWS and their not on here. Searched the Internet for a fix or information revolving around this and it sees I’m not the only one experiencing the fact this app is miss mine (and other types) of JBL headphones. In a time when brand and product means everything, where hard earned money is critically spent by those struggling, I thought possibly I made the smart choice going for 125TWS then say AirPods or Galaxy Buds, but I guess I thought too much :( I hope this changes. I hope I can get to experience what this app is meant to do for the consumer and maybe one day, what I was hoping to be excited about..Version: 4.9.37
✓ Needs updating - no longer works.I’ve had my JBL Live Pro 2s since December and the app has had no problem connecting to them. This week however my earphones have completely stopped working with the app, meaning I now have no option to change the noise cancelling setting. As this is one of the reasons I bought the earphones it’s very annoying that I can’t use the feature! There’s not an option to try and reconnect the earphones as the model isn’t even on the list (I’m sure it was before as they used to be connected). Luckily they still connect to my phone but can’t change any of the settings without the app..Version: 5.14.5

✓ Left earbud keeps losing volumeAs titled. Bought from Argos but since lost receipt. Earbud is clean, seated properly, Bluetooth paired correctly. I’ve reset it many times. Yet volume drops on left bud. Sporadic fault and really annoying and unbalancing. The only solution I’ve found when it ‘seems’ to be okay is if the case and both earbuds are 100% charged. All the time. Permanently. So basically need to keep it on charge all the time. Can’t return as no receipt. Contacted JBL and can’t do anything without original receipt. ✓ There ok earbudsI don’t like the fact that the earbud’s don’t switch out from one to the other. Example you could be listening to music with the left one until the battery dies . When you put it on charge and switch to the right earbud you can’t hear nothing. So you have to end up going to settings to reconnect the earbuds again in order to use the right earbud. ✓ JBL Tune 660 NC not supported?!I just got these headphones and I otherwise really like them but really disappointed they don’t seem to be supported in the app as only the Tune 670 NC model shows up. This model is still actively being sold and nothing indicated that they weren’t compatible with the app. Will my model ever be supported? It’s not left a great impression having a product missing software support like this. I get that it’s apparently an older model but it can’t be that old surely? ✓ IOS 16, initial setup of bluetooth loopWhen you first download the app its ask for allow notifications and set up Bluetooth. this is where the problem lies the Bluetooth option is not displayed under the app individual settings. Bluetooth when turned on for your phone will act as the umbrella settings for all the apps. This is where you’re in a constant loop and the app wont let you proceed through the next steps. Doesn't matter if you delete/remove ,Try disconnecting the headphones or toggle on/off bluet. You’re in a loop until the developers need to fix for ios16.6 , Which is upsetting when you need the app to help find a missing earbud. Defeats having the app. Reddit is not helpful either . ✓ Good app but missing some customisationReally love this app and it is a necessity for getting the most out of my JBL Reflect Flow Pros. The ‘seal test’ and EQ adjustment are great features and being able to change the gestures is a must. The only downside to the app is not being able to set up your own fully customised and personalised gesture profile. I rarely use Siri and would love to be able to change the long press to toggling the ANC on/off. Unfortunately, I have to go into the app to do this if I already have one ear for play/pause and one for volume. This can be a little cumbersome, especially when the app occasionally fails to locate my headphones and I have to close/reopen a couple times before it recognises them. Until they allow users to create their own gesture profiles, this app will always be lacklustre and really limits the touch function of their headphones. As a side note, I sometimes swap between connecting my heaphones and other devices which means I set to anticipate the profile I want due to being unable to change the gestures unless connected to my phone. Not a massive issues but definitely a bit of a hang up.Version: 5.9.21

✓ Good but not greatI have the JBL TUNE125TWS Bluetooth earbuds. I received them a present in December of 2021. They work well and are comfortable, I also like the charging pod. You can charge them without it being plugged in which is a plus. However the charging pod stopped working with the right earbud, it would charge the left but no the right. Had to figure out how to clean the connectors which wasn’t easy. The app does not work with this model which is also very frustrating. It would be great if there was a way to change the equalizer. And my BIGGEST COMPLAINT is that there is so way to find the earbuds or the pod if they get misplaced. There isn’t an app that works with them and they don’t have a button the pod to send a sound alert or something to the EarPods. Like a “find my iPhone” sound but a “find my EarPods” sound. Which would make it so much easier to find them. Ive misplaced one or both of them a few times and had to turn my apartment upside down to try and find them..Version: 5.7.9

✓ Flakey - Pros and ConsCons: 1. You cannot turn off gestures on the ear buds (JBL Live Pro+ TWS). Although the app gives you the option, the ear buds continue to react to touch. So if you’re exercising and get sweaty (wearing a hat) they’ll keep beeping and dropping out. 2. App frequently doesn’t respond - for some reason it won’t allow me to select noice cancelling, even though I have full charge. 3. Bluetooth interferes with some other sensors. In my case, my Polar HR monitor. I have to connect the HR monitor before I take the headphones out of the case, otherwise it simply won’t connect. 4. Continuously changing sound modes, despite selecting the option for this not to happen in the app. Pros: EQ is a nice addition, especially with iTunes/ Apple products..Version: 5.4.24

✓ Frustrating appWhy do I have to have my earbuds in to make a change to any of the settings? Seriously, I should be able to change something like gestures without having to put both buds in my ears. Samsung, Apple, and Sony have all figured out how to do this. Worse, why do my buds always default to “Ambient Aware” every single time I put them in? I hate ambient aware. I never use it, don’t like it, don’t want it. Every time I put it my buds, I have to turn it off. For the love of everything holy, JBL, make the buds default to the last setting. This isn’t 2007. No one else forces the user to start in some worthless default mode. This “feature” (bug) makes good earbuds (Tune230) absolutely unusable. ✓ OkThe app is ok, but I don’t like that I can’t set the same ‘tap’ functions for both the left and right head ear buds. I now only use the right one (I only ever have one in) since it’s what I have setup to be turned off / on. Also the tracking function is lame. I have been using earbud style headphones for a decade now and I have NEVER lost an individual earbud. I do however CONSTANTLY lose the case with the earbuds inside. Which means I cannot track them - ever. Personally, I think the case should either have its own tracking function or you should be able to activate the ear buds without removing them from the case. For me this is a total deal breaker - I would actually prefer poorer sound quality over an inability to locate me headphones. Change the settings on the headphones to “none” but mine still turn on the voice assistant when you tap and hold even though they aren’t supposed to. ✓ “Rock” solidThese are solid, nice sounding headphones. They seem to be built for abuse and they are easy to maintain. As far as controls, the button system is a little awkward but if you’re working out, you are not messing about with them too much anyway. However, they are a bit weak for phone calls. The microphone is so so and a little muffled. That aside, the noise canceling is quite adequate and the sound is good and clear whether you use the optional eq or not. ✓ Killed my $300 HeadphonesSome months ago I bought the JBL Tour One’s. Phenomenal headphones. Beautiful sound quality with great noise cancellation. I thought it was even cooler that it had an app where I could change sound settings on the headphones too. Then one day just before heading to the gym, I turned the headphones and just fine while also getting on THIS app to change some of the settings again. For the first time it said my headphones needed an update. “An update? For my headphones?” I thought to myself.. I decided to continue with it thinking it might just be a simple fix for something. Worst decision I could have possible made. The update finished and I tried to listen to music, nothing. No sound whatsoever. I turned them off and back on. Still the same thing. That sound JBL products make with the base and the guitar, just stopped completely. The headphones turn on but nothing happens. I’m genuinely disappointed and sad that I even have to write this because I’ve used many JBL products before and have always been more than satisfied. This however is a big stain on their name. I tried to get in contact with anyone from JBL but got little to no response back. So I tossed the headphones aside in their case where they’ve been collecting dust. I don’t know if they’ll even respond to this review, but if you’re thinking of using this app to pair your headphones with- DO NOT DO IT. I REPEAT DON’T. ✓ Great but!The sound quality when they work is fantastic, the but is they all to often go out of sync, fail to charge in the case, randomly disconnect randomly pause and won’t play again until you reset them by putting them back in the case take them back out again! Not sure if the all these issues are firmware based or if there are some physical elements that also need to be addressed. ✓ Decent butThe lack of customisable gestures for the touch capabilities of this device is not good. Also there is no way to deactivate the voice assistant or deselect both of them, which is both annoying and frustrating; every time I try to move my headphones with my right end I ended up triggering either Alexa or Siri (depending on the one I have selected). ✓ Charging issuesI have to quadruple check to be sure the buds made the connection to charge. I have had DOZENS of surprises when I go to listen while working and there’s dead batteries. This has gone on since about a year after purchase. It became so troublesome that I considered throwing them away. So now I have to check over and over again to see IF the buds are charging. Even when I triple check to make sure the LEDs are lit up, and I go to use them and maybe ONE is charged. ✓ These things don’t workThese headphones just straight up do not work correctly. Putting them back in the case and closing it doesn’t disconnect them so I have to manually power them off and disconnect my Bluetooth in order for the battery to not die. Speaking of the battery, even powering them off doesn’t stop either the left or right earbud being dead even after leaving them all night to charge when the case shows it has 70%+ battery. These were $115 headphones and within 3 weeks I’m seriously considering buying new Apple earphones. ✓ They’re okay headphones and appThe JBL Vibe Flex headphones I purchased were on sale. I work in a noisy lab but I can’t use complete noise cancelling. These do not stop playing my podcasts or music when I take them out. The app has a few options but no real explanation for some of them so I tried all of them. It distorts the lab noises but the sounds are still very loud. These would probably be good for working out in your own home or a quiet classroom or office setting. ✓ No functionalityThe App looks good and would have great controls for the headphones (Everest Elite 700). Unfortunately though, while the headphones connect to my iPhone without problem, the App has no control over the headphones AT ALL. The App behaves as if it is working, yet very obviously no effect is had when listening. I hope JBL fixes this, as many other users have reported a similar experience seemingly since an App update. ✓ Project Rock Over-Ear Headphones keep disconnecting while at the gymI’ve been a long term supporter of the Project Rock Headphones. I’m always in the gym and love the durability and sound quality that they were created for. I have two pair of the on-ear versions and then moved to the over-ear model. Love the design and that you can customize the size profile. However the over the ear continuously disconnect while I’m working out which is frustrating. This has never been a problem with the on-ear versions. I understand Bluetooth traffic is high at the gym…but again never happens with my on-ear Project Rock headphones or with the Beats products. ✓ Great headphones, one annoying featureI’m using this app with my JBL LIVE460NC headphones. I love the look, sound and comfortable fit of the headphones, but there’s one very annoying feature - touching the outside of the left earpad for two seconds enables voice control. The app allows you to switch between voice assistants (Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant) but does not allow you to disable or switch it off completely. The sensitivity of the earpad is high, so anytime you put on or take off the headphones, you’re likely to enable voice control. This is annoying in itself, but what is particularly stressful is making unwanted calls to random contacts in my phone. I don’t want to make calls via the headphones - ever - I just want to use them to listen to music. I have emailed the manufacturer who provided troubleshooting advice unrelated to the issue. My current ‘fix’ is to pick up the headphones carefully from the edge of the earpads and select Alexa as the voice assistant. Since my iPhone doesn’t have the Alexa app, it can’t make unwanted calls, but I do hear a recorded message advising me to install Alexa everytime I accidentally touch the outside of the earpad. I believe on a previous version of this app, there was an option to deselect all voice assisants thus disabling voice control - please bring back this feature!.Version: 5.9.21

✓ What it has works well, but it could do with more features.I'm a producer and so have a fair amount of experience in dealing with EQs, and I have to say that the EQ feature in this app, while nice and simple, isn't quite enough. What if you create a complicated EQ with several points of all different values, then discover that the entire result is too quiet? or if every point above 0 is too loud and every point below is too soft? It would be nice to have a couple sliders for volume and offset to fix that problem when it comes up. Much better than being either off or full-strength. It would also be nice to have a preset to correct for the frequency response curve the headphones already have, sort of like Sonarworks for this specific range of headphones. When I look at my phone to find out why it will say that I’m not connected to these ear buds. That are upstairs. That are in their case. On other occasions I have put the buds in their case, making sure the lights on the buds flash, and they’ve been at, say, 70% charged, and I take them out of their case for their next use and they immediately say low charge.
