✓ GREED2745 day veteran of the game here. Never been so disgusted in the games management. Constant bugs not addressed, new ones created with every big update. Now as a loyal VIP for 6+ years are now being told it is being wiped clean for a fresh system only for us to need to spend $500 US/Euro a month to get those same VIP perks back on a new format..Version: 21.1
✓ Endless, but not in a good wayIn many a great game - original 80s transformers, great graphics and fun battles. But after 3 months of play I've realised the endlessness of the game (not in a good way) and deleted. It's taken 3 months to max out my first 2 star bots, my latest bots would take even longer before they are any good this will just repeat over and over. It would literally take years to level up all the bots - annoyingly with multiple versions of the same bot at different star levels. This star system is the downfall of this game as you can't continue improving your early bots and effectively start over and over each time you get new bots - you never really get anywhere and it's just to repetitive..Version: 1.25.1
✓ Developer greed ruins a great conceptIf I could rate this game one star then I would. The only way to win at this game is to pay, and don’t expect to get what you pay for either as the developers, Space Ape, will only allow you to have a “chance of” what you’re hoping your hard earned money will buy you. Most likely you will end up spending huge amounts of real money in pursuit of a key bot but in return you’ll get countless duplicates but don’t try complaining to support (and there’s a word Space Ape needs to learn the meaning of) because you will get short shrift from them and definitely no sympathy for your issue. If you’re of a certain age and remember with happiness the transformers movies and toys of your youth then you and your wallet are the perfect target for these greedy developers. As for the game, initially it’s interesting and challenging but it becomes very samey, the grind to level up bots becomes increasingly hard work and the only way to progress is to pay, and pay a LOT of money. Additionally the game is plagued by so many bugs and the developers seem unable to resolve them, or if they do then the next update, back they come! Be warned!.Version: 1.67
✓ Medal systemGreat game, but medal system is stupid, when I attack rival bases I mainly get around 1-3! medals as a reward(which is pretty pitiful)along with the alloys and energeon(this is when I'm attacking relatively strong bases around the level I am) but when I'm attacked and sometimes lose, I lose about 30-40 medals and about 30,000 alloy and energeon which is absolutely ridiculous! ✓ Crazy UpdateSince the latest update, bots are now being removed from squads again when you use them on dispatch missions. Incredibly frustrating when you’re having to constantly remember your combinations of team and repopulate squads every time you login. No new storyline,(dead end) duplicate characters constantly, and to compensate they get turned into useless spark!!? ✓ Wasted Potential..I had played this game about when it came out then picked it up again some weeks ago. Much has changed yet there has also been very little improvement. Support is a joke, game is not time efficient, drop rates are atrocious, and now the development team is fixing to get ready to prohibit its use on older model devices like mine. I’d go out a buy a new device if I could, but it certainly wouldn’t be to keep playing this dreadful game. Space Apes, Hasbro, Activision (when they wrecked their War for Cybertron team), and a number of others (*cough*Micheal Bay*cough*) have ruined what was once an exciting and very engaging series. It was already bad enough trying to find a solid game that could be played online with others, but now I might as well just quit hoping the day will come when one is created. This game isn’t for those who don’t have the time to spend grinding a lot for resources alone and definitely not for those who don’t wish to wait weeks, months, or even years to get a combiner. Your best bet for a nice and steady strategy themed game is to play a game like Lords Mobile. At least that game’s developer takes steps to ensure everyone can play and that it remains somewhat balanced with fairly easy mechanics to learn with a much better unit/hero collection and upgrade system. ✓ Pay to win and heavily unbalancedThe game feels heavily pay to win as most of the time when you do grind to a four star it is usually a duplicate or a not as useful 4 star. The combat bots are very unbalanced as they have better stats than the outpost bots instead of scaling with the outpost level. Combiners also are relatively uninspired and with the amount of RNG behind them doesn’t seem worth it at times as most combiners aren’t good at all. The game overall has potential but the devs are just lazy and trying to exploit players for money at this point..Version: 21.4
✓ Great Nostalgic Community Based Transform’em up!The is the first online build and conquer type game i ever really got it, based mainly of my love for Transformers! 2 years I still here! Its fun for everyone, obviously you make faster progress if you invest some money! But f2p can make great progress too! The game at the weekends, the “special events” are ramped up to a harder level so you can’t move through them as fast. Sorry SA it you’ve lost your way. ✓ It’s a scam dressed up as nostalgia, avoidThe game looks pretty good but that’s just covering for all the bugs, glitches & only catering for people who spend £10k a year on it (no joke). A 5* character takes about 6 months or costs about £800, that gets you a CHANCE of getting the character you want. A 5* combat which is just a bonus you can equip will take years to save up or costs about £300 each, again, that’s for a chance. In both cases it always gives you the characters you don’t use first. The high level drop rates from the crystals it gives to save for the above were brutal but since adding the % chance they’ve reduced the drop rates. The only enjoyment to be had from this pretty looking game is waiting 3yrs for it to give you a character you actually wanted. By which time they’re almost useless & unless you pay to level them up quickly it may take years to even level them up enough to be useable. It’s a decent game.... but only if you’re spending £100 a month minimum on something that should be free or at least easier to get. If not, it becomes boring, frustrating & it’ll soon be impossible to ever catch players like me up, it’d cost £50k (again, no joke) & every minute of every day to catch up to the top players. ✓ Crashes at 6 percent.I used to love playing this game on a daily basis but ever since I updated to the new iOS version the game no longer lets me on. It crashes at 6 percent on the loading screen. I’ll happily give this a 5 star if this is fixed. The gamecenter method they tell you to do does not work either. I did that and it would just treat me as a new player. ✓ Terrible supportThe game is like many others. Build grind and attack players. But it’s beyond slow and boring. You will play for months and still move at a snails pace. The slow grind is excessive and the micro transactions are very high and constantly on your face. But I stuck with it. Recently I was banned because another player joined our clan used a cheat (which provided a small amount of rewards) immediately after joining. He was immediately booted but we all got banned. I emailed Support but they didn’t care that no one had any association with that person or wanted the cheat. I didn’t even know cheating in a game like this was possible. It’s an absolutely terrible way to conduct business. They could look at the logs and verify it. They can remove the rewards that were given (just shards) and educate the customers to notify them if this occurs. But instead they are jerks about it. Just rude and non-responsive aside from stating we cheated and are now banned. A false accusation and one sided communication. Don’t support a company like this..Version: 16.1

✓ Far from greatTransformers: Earth Wars: PROS: 1. Good roster of characters, (G1, G2, IDW, armada, and more) each with different abilities. 2. Good amount of strategy in both base building and attacking. 3. Teaming with other players in wars is fun 4. Story’s decent. 5. It’s fun to watch each characters transformation. 6. It’s fun to use combiners. 7. You can have both Autobot and decepticon teams CONS: 1. Long, boring F2P grind..(for example, the longest it will take to upgrade one building is 2 weeks, 2 WEEKS!!, and it takes forever to max out bots..) 2. Heavy push on micro transactions/Pay to win elements (I get why, but at least make the F2P grind fun..) 3. It take hours to fill up building materials 4. Gameplay never changes, it’s just attack base, attack base, rinse and repeat. 5. You need to have lots of maxed out, powerful bots to be part of the latest events, so if your a new player, well, good luck being part of the new events... 6. You can’t have Autobot and Decepticon bases/combiners, you need to make 2 accounts. SUMMARY: From someone who has a good amount of experience playing this, I do recommend giving this a hard pass unless you have endless amounts of time on your hands, or have more money then you know what to do with… (Or just play Forged To Fight, a good Transformers mobile game...(Haven’t played that Robots in Disguise game in years and haven’t tried Bumblebee so I can’t speak for those..)).Version: 20.2
✓ $$$$This Game is horrible they only want your moneyI’ve written multiple reviews about this game and they are constantly removed. If you look at other people comments you will notice that comment comes up a lot. Don’t spend money on this game. It’s a rip off. They usually give you a duplicate character that you already have and then you end up getting crystal shards and no new transformers. Think of this game as a Micheal Bay transformer movie, it looks cool but it disappoints every time. I’m at a point where I have a few 4 Star transformers after playing for years. I just got a 3 star grimlock, again after playing for years. I’m also at a point where I’m constantly attacked by people that have all their character ranking over 2000 and my resources are wiped out every 6 hours so I can’t build up enough resources to upgrade anything. My highest ranked character is just over 1000, and it’s my only character ranked over a 1000. I think you get the picture. Play for fun but don’t have high expectations. Also their support staff will just tell you we are working on fixing the issues. Again, I highly recommend you don’t spend money on this game. Also read the reviews. ✓ Disappointing Customer ServicesWhilst the game is a tight concept, with challenge and pace, the in game support is atrocious. There’s no “Contact Us” option from within the game, to cut interaction with the Devs. You also experience those Pop-Ups telling you to spend Premium currency. During one such, spending over 700 of the currency, I tracked Customer Services down via their web site. They refused to help refund the amount, despite recognising the problem. ✓ Not happyI’ve played this game for a short time. I joined a group calling them selves the Windex Warriors. I had achieved the minimal requirements that they set. Yet despite the fact that I was new to the game they chucked me out. Then tried to defend that choice by calling me a slacker. True I could have not called them jerks but to just kick me out just because I wasn’t at some sort of super level is not write. Especially when the tell in the descriptions the minimum that they expect. This left me only two choices try and download the game again and start all over as a autobot or delete it and not play. ✓ Do not buy any packsI just spent $34(NZ) on a combiner bundle which said I would get four of each set of combiners. In reality I got two bots at the level that can be used for combiners. The others were either level two or ones I already have. This is BLATANT false advertising and is also not the first time it’s happened. I will be complaining to Apple about this game because it actually goes against its anti-gambling rules as you are paying real money on the hope of getting rewards. I purchased this bundle on the idea I would be getting combiner bots and was not given anything I could use. Slog it out. It’s safer. ✓ My thoughtsSo I played this game for two years pretty consistently, most mornings got pretty high but it gets ridiculous with the duplicates, it’s hard to get enough shards to get 3 or 4 or even 5 star bots ( never got even one 5 star in over two years of playing ) after while u almost always get duplicates just gets irritating eve: if u buy shards for a certain bot doesn’t mean u will get that boy which is the stupidest thing , I really likes playing it but now I don’t even play it , last 5 times I got enough shards to get a 4* bot it was a duplicate I don’t have that many 4 star bots so seems like wouldn’t get that many dups! ✓ Used to be a fun game in the beginning before it transformed.This game was very fun when it first launched. But as it grew in popularity, so did the developers’ greed. It morphed into a gambling game hidden by the guise of transformers. It followed the same play book used by many games to get people hooked in. Establish a guild system so that people could have more of a relationship while playing and a reason to compete. Then is began a system of paying for better characters, only you were paying for a “chance” to get a better character. As the popularity grew, the chances of getting the characters you wanted dropped significantly so you would be paying money to get nothing. You don’t have to pay to play. But the game is designed such that if you want to be competitive, you really have no choice but to do so. My advice, avoid this game. It’s a gambling game in disguise using robots in disguise. There are much better transformers games out there that won’t make you choose between your pocket book and enjoying the game..Version: 1.71
✓ DisappointedOk, first off this game is kind of a disappointment. When I watched the trailer, I was super excited, but after it was fully downloaded I didn’t get much of a welcome. I have a pretty decent WiFi modem And router so I should be fine with this app, right? Wrong. It took almost an hour to load. And I am not joking, I timed it. After that I thought that would be the end of my problems. Wrong. Again. The game was pretty stupid. All you do is tell you robots to attack and then that’s it. You can’t even control them. To give an example, you send a transformer out hoping that they will go for the main enemy tower. Instead they go for a stupid little gun tower that barely does any damage😐. ✓ Bait and switch gameWatch out for this game. It’s 7 years running and tired. Devs seem to push out new content at a premium price, but new content is likely bugged. Nothing seems to work properly upon release. If and when the content does get fixed it’s typically going to be deemed too powerful and likely later to be nerfed for game balance. Problem is they will totally let you put in hundreds if not thousands of dollars into this new product just to make it not useful to advance in the game. Everything about this game is a cash grab even though it’s advertised to be all inclusive. The community is great, but the creators are all about the money. For a loyalty program they’ve decided to drop their VIP program and switched to a paid tier loyalty system. To be top tier for said loyalty will cost a monthly fee of $1000. This is no joke. The only loyalty this game has towards its community comes with the ole mighty dollar..Version: 21.1
✓ Needs fixesHi I’ve played for years now but the game is too hard. To get good bots or cons you have to spend a lot of money for crystals and the cybertron levels are ridiculously hard, not to mention to get combiners you have to spend more money to get a complete set of what team you want. To make the game better I recommend making it a lot easier and not having to spend 50$ on premium crystals to get 5 double and a one star shockwave. Not to mention that you can’t skip cutscenes so after you finish open crystals you have to sit through 10 minutes worths of dialog before you can do anything.Version: 14.0

It is essentially a gambling game if you desire to spend money. No add on to the original gameplay since game started. All there is to do is war/raid/weekend event. No log in rewards, no alternate challenges to attempt. Very boring after a while and if not for the ability to chat to other people in game, deleting game would be the better option. Artwork is great and they’ve given all the characters the right amount of freshness but kept the G1 feel. Some good game modes to keep you busy although I think they could’ve done more with the story modes but probably not enough money in it for them. Spend wise it’s not too bad offering different packs for those who want to spend big or not spend much at all. Where this game really fails is the gameplay. Weather it’s a bot/con wandering off solo in mid battle for no reason, chewing up chunks of time shooting/smashing a wall that doesn’t need to be destroyed, confusingly walking into hot zones and setting off outpost bots during war when a different path should’ve been taken, I could go on but the majority of time you lose in this game is from the shocking gameplay, and then there’s the theft that goes on in your inventory when things that you’ve never used go missing. ✓ Unbalanced.Two things you need, even from early on, to advance in this. Energon, and cyber coins. And no matter how active you are, they don’t allow you to gain either, unless you spend $. If you just wanted to play, and grind, which is what I did, at first, it would take you 3-4 months just you reach a solid level five base. A level five base, is a doormat, basically. It would take a year, to build a level seven base, which is still a doormat. This game is too tight/to chincy with rewards. They make growing/leveling up your bots WAY too expensive. Impossible to do it without spending $. It could be alot of fun, but it isn't. UPDATE: Everything in this game revolves around ‘energon’, something you can’t buy, if you’re a spender, and something you can’t possibly earn enough of, if you’re a grinder. They’ve built it so that it’s impossible for anyone to get anywhere at all. Last update: When we use crystals to summon ‘duplicate’ bots, you should let us combine them or something, not just make us rebuild the same bot from scratch all over again. ✓ UnplayableI haven’t played it in years since the issue where it starts jittering when opening it started. It can’t be opened until you open it on wifi. Then it can be opened at will for about a couple of days when suddenly you need wifi access again. Fix it so wifi isn’t needed every time you decide to add something to the game. ✓ Can’t even play it.Installed it and within minutes was hit with a game ending issue - it won’t load. It gets stuck on “installing” at around 6% or 14%. No matter how long I leave it, it won’t load. I tried contacting customer services, which are essentially non-existent. They told me to log in and out of Game Centre, which apparently should solve it. I tried that and was met with failure, and once I alerted them to it, they responded saying that they do not currently have a fix for the issue. This was 8 months ago, and when I tried to email them about an update I was ignored. This isn’t an isolated issue, I’ve seen tons of people with the same problems. And no fix seems on site, and there’s no support for people who cannot play the game. Do not install this game, there is absolutely no point because if you play on iOS your game WILL NOT load. I’m writing this review because the developers seem reluctant to offer a fix, and ignore people who have this issue..Version: 8.0

✓ Once you have to start spending money, don’t botherI play lots of F2P games, I spend money on all the ones I like, and I liked this one... at first. The first boxes I bought gave me several 4 and 3 star bots (which you need to do anything, 2 star bots get worthless pretty quickly), which seemed appropriate because they cost $20 a piece (which is still very high a price). Then the rewards just stopped coming. Since those first few boxes, I’ve bought maybe 5 more, and 4 of them had ZERO 3 or 4 star bots in them. That means $80 worth of boxes gave me essentially nothing at all worth using. They just gave me duplicate 2 stars, which convert to 3-star shards... so once you get 50 duplicate 2 stars, you get a 3-star. Whoopee. And unlike other F2P games, their free tier of rewards don’t give you anything useful. At best you’ll get another 2 star bot. You can’t get anywhere in this game unless you spend money, and as others have pointed out, if you don’t spend hundreds of dollars, you still won’t get anywhere. This game is exactly how the F2P system is ruining games. It was a decent, fun game, that ultimately was only designed to completely rip its players off. I will occasionally choose a rival player base to attack, it will fail to load, then the only thing that will SOMETIMES fix it is uninstalling, rebooting the phone, then reinstalling, and that doesn't always work. When you purchase bots at £9.99 you are still not guaranteed to get the 3 or 4 star bot that you are paying for and that seems like a disgrace. What was a great game slipped to being a good game and now it’s just a below average game. You should be guaranteed the top star bots and different ones or the full set. I’ve even emailed them about this and they just say it’s at random. ✓ Over itBe played this game since Almost day one. 6 years now, and I shouldn’t be surprised by this but everything they do is a $$$$ grab. They release titans into the game, people spend hundreds to get what they describe as end game content. The most powerful thing you can have in the game. Immediately they remove it from multiple game modes. And now most recently they nerfed it, so it useless in wars. Which at this point was the only fun part in the game. Every time a bot becomes super popular in the game and people spend $$$$$$ chasing and leveling that bot, they find ways to make it obsolete. Don’t bother talking to support, cause you get the same answer every time, “we will take it up with the team”. Guess I shouldn’t be surprised they ran Samurai Siege into the ground and are doing a great job of doing the same to Transformers. And don’t try to start playing now as a free to play player. You will need at least 3 years to catch up to mid level players let alone top players in the game. ✓ Major issue not being addressed by developers!!! Beware!This starts out being a fun game, but as you start to progress you notice a reoccurring theme. Opposing teams with bots 2x, 3x, and 4x your strength attack your base and defeat you within seconds, taking 30-40 percent of the resources you have spent hours trying to collect to do upgrades. These teams are so much stronger than yours, you have no chance to defeat them. It takes hours to regain what you lose to only have them attack again. These teams are some of the highest ranked teams out there, and some are listed on their hall of fame pages. I contacted customer service only to be told they are aware some of the highest ranking teams prey on teams way below their own level to score easy and high rewards. What is being done to limit this? Nothing. Their advice was to keep trying to try to level up. Result- hours of frustration trying to gain enough resources to level up only to have it taken by a high ranked team. This has happened up to 3 times a day. If developers don’t address this issue, don’t bother playing unless you enjoy frustration!!!?X!?!.Version: 1.64
✓ Not much to doWhile it’s fun and nostalgic to collect your favorite bots, there just doesn’t seem to be a lot to do. Upgrade a couple buildings, and wait till your build bots are free and then upgrade 2 more and wait again. Or of course but another for a couple thousand coins. Then you can build 3 and wait In the meantime, do a mission or attack another player. Standard fare time units to refill of course. Drop rates for higher than 2 star bots seems too low in my opinion. Biggest issue I have with the game is clicking the running events and always seeing its only aimed at alliances Sorry I just don’t see games like these as complex enough to really warrant voice comms and alliances, and it’s pretty discouraging that they seem to focus on that and leave solo players without much to do Ultimately turns the game into one with a limited time appeal. Once you get tired of trying to collect new bots, you’ll likely not find yourself opening the app much. Had the game a couple weeks now and already feeling it. ✓ Fun then boringThis game was fun a and all at the beginning. You got bots and leveled them up and attacked other bases for resources. But once you complete the first 2 campaigns, you need to start playing more. If not you start wasting money because at some points you need more power than you can even fit in your bot capacity. So then you need the 5 star bots. And also I don’t like the fact that you need to unlock the g1 characters. There should be one big update where everything is g1 and all the original g1 characters can be obtained. I myself don’t like the new bots and cons and the new combaticons because they look too futuristic for g1. And I despise the first character in the con faction, Bludgeon. He doesn’t even look like a g1 character. So I think that the g1 update would be awesome and hat everything would be g1. Bludgeon makes me want to be an autobot even though I want to be a decepticon. ✓ To muchThis game is a tremendous use of an individuals time, there are great aspects to the game but building up at single character can cost youTwo to 300 $ to have it done in any reasonable amount of time. And all of the effort that you’re putting into that character causes you to neglect other characters that are necessary later to bring the character you’re paying for up to the levels necessary. I think there are eight different types of consumables that you are forced to push your way through the game to obtain. If you think you’re going to be able to sit down and relax and play this game think again. You can deploy A well thought out team but that will not matter unless you very specifically target understand and go out of your way to destroy the base. It is tremendously boring to be a grown adult and be forced to use characters that are not very good so that you lose the game so that you have to play more and spend more money.Version: 19.4
