No regard for customer care.I usually don’t do bad reviews but I had a shady, disappointing experience and had absolutely no resolution with their “customer support” and need to share. I received a promo for 40% off (up to 15) for groceries, the only reason I used the app to buy groceries was because of this promo, it’s a 3min drive. The price was reduced and the promo was present during checkout then when I got charged it had no promotion applied. I was also over charged $10 with no explanation, and had two items that weren’t available so they were removed from my cart. I checked the grocery store app and the prices of every item was LESS than on uber eats so it wasn’t because of the in-store prices. They also didn’t use my account number so i could earn my points (or look my account’s order history, because how did the total increase that much with missing items? sus.) So I reached out asking why, and that I shouldn’t have been charged that much with the 40% discount and the missing items, all they refunded was the $10 add on that was added in store, did not honor the offer that was on my account. I’ve had several mix ups and mistakes on my orders which isn’t a big deal because the customer service actually resolved the issue when I didn’t get what I ordered or got a completely wrong/inedible order.. Now the $10 on my account is gone lol. Not a company worth supporting if they cannot honor what they offer their customers..Version: 6.180.10000

Awful customer serviceGot my food delivered wrong but the driver accepted the order before he handed the food to me so he couldn’t do anything about it. Phoned customer support and asked if i could get it re delivered as the food was meant to be for two people but what we received was only enough for one. we went through all the questions and he said “okay that’s all sorted your refund will be with you in 5-10 days” i asked if it was going to get delivered again and he said they weren’t able to. normally i’d just accept this and re order it but because my order included a free item which was a one time offer i wouldn’t be able to use that again. i asked why i wasn’t able to get it redelivered to which i got the response “we aren’t able to do that”. asked for a valid reason again why they can’t do it and he just said “sorry but we can’t” that’s when i asked if i could be passed to a manager to try and resolve it, and he just flat out refused and said no. i said again i want to speak to your manager to which he said they will not change anything about the outcome so i wont pass you on. i said again that im not asking im saying i want to speak to a manager to which he just said i wont be doing that today. i work in the restaurant industry so i know for a fact they can send the order back through to the kitchen. never experienced customer service as bad as uber eats. would avoid at all costs..Version: 6.204.10000

Horrible.Seriously? A problem with 3 different delivery drivers for the same order? First time, Uber driver agreed to delivering our meal, but he was over 25 mins away from the restaurant and us. He hadn’t left, so I messaged him, where he replied that he’d leave in 5mins. He never did and I did not want to cancel, as I knew he was trying to be dodgy. I called the restaurant and advised them that my Husband would come to pick up the food. This was 20mins later, mind you. Then UberEats called and said they’d assigned a new driver. We tried to message him too... and no reply. Also, did not move. Don’t know what happened but a THIRD person was then assigned and he was on a bike. He ALSO did not move. The restaurant called to say that his “bike broke down,” and he cancelled my order. I had a hungry 8 yr old child AND a 6 month old baby at home, so thank God my Husband was home to pick it up! This is seriously shameful... and not at all the restaurants fault. On top of that, Uber Eats customer service was very blunt and unapologetic. I was happy with them up u til today. This is unacceptable. Even if I wasn’t charged for my cancelled order and the complete stuff around with 3 different drivers, customer service had a job to do and they failed miserably. Mixed opinionsThis app provides a great service, especially in small towns that don’t have deliveroo or just eat etc but the biggest problem hands down is the consistent wrong orders. When I say this I mean literally something missing from 7 out of 10 orders. One or more of the items has something wrong with it or missing. They regularly forget dips or part of meals for example I ordered a 3 chicken select meal and just got 3 chicken selects and a drink and no dips nor chips! This is a constant problem and where it happens so much they won’t even refund me half the time so I just over pay for food because I don’t get the full order. Not only that but charging £4 delivery fee for McDonalds when it’s the most popular so you make the most anyway and you charge more not less. I still use them because there the only app that does this service in my area but it’s so frustrating! I have listed the problem so please don’t respond asking me to elaborate on the problem. If you are going to respond either look through my orders and refund the ones i tried having action taken and nothing happened or don’t mention my situation personally OR please go away and find a way to make the standards better and make sure the drivers and restaurants are checking the orders and if they don’t have something automatically refunding the difference or giving something better as an alternative. Never againTried Uber eat for the first time. The order took forever to be delivered and when I did get notified it had been delivered, I couldn’t find it anywhere! The app connected me to the delivery person who never answered. Left 2 messages but nobody called me back. Service is crap when something goes wrongApp and system works fine, until you have an issue with an order. I placed an order with a new restaurant. They accepted my order and then phoned me 2 minutes later to advise they couldn’t fulfil my order as they had run out of some of the food items. I didn’t want any alternatives, so asked them to cancel my order & refund me. They confirmed that I was cancelling and were not going to start preparing the order. They said they couldn’t cancel at their end, and I had to. So came off the phone and cancelled. Got confirmation that the order was cancelled and was charged £38. Raised an issue with UberEats and they’re saying that the can’t refund me because the restaurant accepted the order & we’re preparing the food. It’s not my fault the restaurant accepted my order and then phoned me to advise they couldn’t provide all the items. Restaurant were aware order was being cancelled. I didn’t receive any food, restaurant were not at a loss, and I was charged £38 for what? Gone round and round with UberEats. Like speaking to a robot online. They don’t seem to understand the situation and are stating the ‘restaurant accepted the order’, therefore it’s my fault I’ve cancelled. Absolutely ridiculous and I’m NEVER using them again. Very disappointing customer careI have been a loyal user for Uber eats for a long time now, but now I feel I can no longer continue to support a company that cares so little about its customers. I placed an order at 11pm one night and expected everything to be going as normal, 30 mins pass... a hour passes... an hour and a half passes. And I get in touch with my delivery partner only to find out my order had never been received by the restaurant in the first place. After another half an hour of my delivery partner going around town for no reason and then going back to the restaurant to check again, it was too late and they were already closed. Turns out my first delivery partner decided not to deal with this mess and pawned it onto the next, who also decided to mess me about. My order finally got cancelled at 1am after I TOLD them to cancel and I was left without food for the rest of the night (because everything is closed). If I had been informed of this straight away I could have had a chance to order other food. But no. They decided to leave me hanging. I reported this to Uber eats and they gave me some robot response saying they aren’t going to do anything further. All I wanted was to feel like a valued customer, to have a decent apology and for them to speak to the restaurant to ensure this doesn’t happen again. Beware..I’ve had mostly good experiences with this - professional drivers, reasonable prices and timings.. until today. My order went missing. After calling the store an hour after the supposed delivery I found out why. A driver picked up my meal, cancelled the order straight away, and probably ate my meal.. I didn’t get as much as a call. Ok sure, maybe there are dodgy people out there (how did he become a driver ?), but next is the process of getting my money back. There is a horrible single line field that I had to to fill out all of this in, in a horrible web view, and throughout I had no way to call either the driver or Uber to figure this out. So many bugs and frustrations it’s not worth itI used to use it all the time but getting on it again it was SO FRUSTRATED. The app it’s self is honestly trash it has the same bugs it had months ago and I can’t even use it anymore! My grandmother is ill and she can’t drive anymore so she wanted mc Donald’s (her favorite) so I offered to drive but she refused because of the weather here. I downloaded the app and made my order. At the beginning, it’s asking for a phone number to my account. I don’t have an account yet but that’s not even an option on the front page. I type my grandmothers number and to my surprise she has an account so lucky me. It asked for the password and I got it but for some reason it then bugged out and crashed my phone when I tried logging in. So I opened it again and tried to log in again, it worked after another crash when I reset my pass. I started my order and when I had been sitting there for 10 min checking off boxes just for the app to not recognize the order and bug out and I have to make the order again. I finish my order and now I’m adding my Address, after I add my address and my order it tells me It can’t deliver to my part of town AFTER I did all that. So it bugs out again and I have to reset the app. I’m done trying and am deleting the app and never using it again. Convenience not worth itSure it’s convenient ordering straight to your door but if something goes wrong you don’t get any help. Got the wrong order delivered but noticed when the driver was here. Uber eats wanted pictures but the driver had already left so had to call him back. Got pictures but the app wouldn’t accept them so I had to type something. App said someone will be in touch, 2 hours later I’m still waiting with no dinner and no option to talk to a real person to sort this out. Uber eats has fallen offAt peak lockdown I was using Uber eats every day, and it was solid, never made mistakes with the order, if certain items weren’t available they would prevent you from ordering them. However, recently this has not been the case, the last 8 orders I place were awful, several times they let me order unavailable items only to find out at my doorstep that the items were not available and I just paid £5 delivery for 2 items that cost half of the delivery fee. There was another case were the store I was ordering from charged more for a small delivery than a large delivery so as you don’t waste their time on small orders, fair enough, but they didn’t stock some of the items I ordered, bumping my order from large down to small, this ended up costing me MORE, and to top it of they removed the additional price for the small delivery from my bank account without consulting me first. This is awful because if they had I could have changed my order and gotten a large order consisting of other items, but no. I am really disappointed that what was such a good delivery service has overall cost me almost £20 in additional fees because of their mistakes, do not download Uber eats unless you really are in desperate need of local food deliveries and they’re aren’t other services available, and even if that is the case, I’d nearly recommend walking instead when you can..Version: 6.74.10000

Worst Food Delivery App EverThis past time I submitted that both my drink and fries were missing from the order. I was missing 2/3 of my order. So I rated my order and submitted that I didn’t receive those things. About a week or two later still no reach out and no refund. So I went through the help center and explained a part of it. Well your service team responded said no refund and closed the ticket. No chance to write back and I can’t make any more claims about it and there’s no where else to contact any support. Your app support is absolutely terrible. Why can I not chat with someone real time? Why can I not call someone real time? So you know what, I canceled all of my Uber Apps because you guys essentially stole money from me when the drink is the drivers fault and the sweet potato fries is the restaurants fault. You really need to explain when you’re “rating” the order that that’s not how you’re supposed to go about getting a refund. In fact rating makes 0 difference and does absolutely nothing because if the guy had maybe looked into my account he would’ve seen that I did rate my order within 24 hours of the order arriving. I did it right then and there before I even ate the sandwich which was only 1/3 of my meal. So I won’t be going through Uber for anything anymore. Could be betterOverall it’s pretty good however, I think there could be more promo codes especially when continuously ordering from the app to then get nothing in return. Or there are daily promotions that most people can’t even use such as the $20 off grocery one or $30 liquor one. Very disappointing in that aspect. Usually the refund part is very good as they normally straight up give you refunds especially if you have photo evidence. But, sometimes they won’t allow it even with photo evidence and continuously messaging the contact support about it. Again very disappointing. Last thing. I hate that you’s upped the delivery charge. It used to be so cheap for example, $1.99 to get maccas near by. But then you’s added the service fee which is actually ridiculous and also upped the delivery fees. I swear you’s used to have a maximum delivery fee price such as $4 but now there are things that are for example, $8. Extremely poor serviceI installed the app for the first time (already had an account) and had a look through my previous purchases. I accidentally pressed the order button when viewing my previous orders and this had gone through straight away with no security prompt at all. I was trying to close the app with the home button but it accidentally hit the bottom banner at the time. The order got accepted within 0.1 seconds but the restaurant wouldn’t pick up the phone at all. I called and messaged UberEats to cancel the order ASAP but this was too late. I couldn’t cancel right after ordering because the order got accepted very quickly! UberEats did nothing about this and said that they can cancel the order but not give a refund. Following this, I made a poor restaurant choice and ordered some food from there, attempting to take advantage of some discount codes I had. This resulted in poor quality food and a milkshake that was filled just a little above hallway. I complained via the app and got a response within 5 minutes saying a full review had been made and that no adjustments will be made to this order. Overall, the security and customer service of this app is very poor. It is definitely not the place to try new restaurants/take outs. If you wish to take advantage of any offers, I suggest you only use it with restaurants that you know provide a quality service..Version: 1.206.10002

Food Order Cancelled Because Driver Got StuckThis evening I’d been waiting for my Uber eats order for over an hour and then my Uber driver calls me to say the streets closed. I told him the directions to avoid the closed street which was only a 2 minute detour. Instead of the driver doing the detour my whole order was CANCELLED. Uber then called my and told me that if I wanted the food I’d ordered I’d have to reorder it and I’d have to wait A WHOLE MORE HOUR. I thought Uber was really great until this happened. Because Uber couldn’t assign another driver to my order my whole order had to get CANCELLED. This is especially disappointing when their are young kids waiting for food and you have to tell them there dinner isn’t coming. Payment wasn’t possibleA card that works on all other devices and confirmed with the bank to have funds is not working on your app. No ability to contact anyone directly about it. Extremely frustrating as I was relying on Uber eats to order birthday items as I don’t have access to a car for pick up. Maintenant il n’y a plus d’option de livraison gratuite tout le monde doit payer sa livraison pourtant les livreurs font parfois jusqu’à 4 arrêts pour des livraisons, ma commande arrive froide et ce qu’un et dit c’est qu’afin de garantir un prix le plus bas possible plusieurs livraison sont effectuer à la fois...à 3.99$ plus taxe et tips de la livraison j’estime que chaque commande doit être livré le plus rapidement possible sans arrêt ou détour de 15/20 minutes c’est tout simplement inacceptable. On ne peut jamais savoir en passant la commande si le livreur va prendre plusieurs commande ou non. Si vous continuer ce système il faut réinstaurer les livraisons gratuites si le livreur fait plusieurs arrêt en chemin pour que le consommateur commende en toute conscience de cause ou donner le choix de refuser qu’il y ai plusieurs arrêt fait en chemin. Terrible customer serviceI had a recent delivery order for some milk from the petrol station 10 minutes away. After waiting over an hour for delivery I contacted the driver and he said he was on his way. I checked the map and the driver was very far from my house and then he suddenly clicked that food had been delivered even though he was no where near my house. Was very very difficult to try get in contact, the driver wasn’t answering and Uber kept suggesting to call the driver. After another hour I was still unable to talk to a human and found out they only allow you to call their call centre if you pay for diamond service. After another 30 minutes I was finally able to get a refund although Uber said it will take 10 business days. I had to wait 2 hours just to get no milk, and now have to wait 2 weeks to get my money back. I have no way to complain about the driver who stole my order. Uber needs to make their call centre accessible to all their customers and not just those that can afford diamond service. Corporate greedI have had multiple orders arrive late and cold because of the “multiple drop off” feature. That is, a driver can accept to drop off an order before yours while still counting as your order. Apparently the driver has no control over which order to drop off first either so they may have to drive past yours to drop off the other order. Uber takes 35% of the restaurants revenue too. It’s corporate greed at its finest. Complaint system is a box-tick system, you don’t have any real freedom to complain. So now I’m having my last meal from uber, lukewarm cause I was drop b. I recommend others just call up local stores that deliver and skip this unjust and greedy corporation.Version: 1.206.10002

Run by RobotsI’ve been an Uber Eats customer for years, and obviously throughout that time not all of my orders have been delivered perfectly, which is fine. However, it appears I have had too many of my orders misdelivered or with partially delivered (something completely outside of my control). Despite paying a premium on all food ordered through Uber Eats, from which Uber then takes fees based on the heightened amount, I have been blacklisted from ever receiving a refund ever again through the platform, even when proof is provided showing the misdelivery or missing items. Support agents are only able to cycle through around 5 different responses, there is no way to escalate a case, and they will encourage you to rate the driver poorly if the VENDOR messes up the order. When reaching out to the support via Twitter, the agent threatened to ban my account if I continued asking for a refund on an order in which I received only one of six items ordered, clearly shown in the picture taken by the driver of the food at my door. The driver had even notified support before delivering the food that the entire order could not be delivered. Since Uber is the one placing the order, I cannot reach out directly to the vendor for a refund, so Uber and the vendor can simply pocket that money and give me absolutely nothing. I have had hundreds of dollars worth of food not delivered to me, and Ubers response some is an automated one; “These orders are not eligible for a refund”..Version: 6.208.10000

Payment issues unresolvedUber Eats & Rides have continued to claim my credit card is assigned to several accounts and will now not accept my card for payment. I only have one account and so their claims are untrue. The time and energy spent trying to get Uber to fix this issue has been beyond frustrating!! So I have to borrow someone else’s card for every purchase (and transfer money to his card prior, including any insufficient funds this person may already have so I end up paying more!) We spend a lot on Uber eats and rides, so this ongoing problem leads me to question the value of our regular custom. Good if everything goes smoothlyOkay so I’ve been using Uber Eats for a while now and I’ve had enough good experiences to not rate it 1 star, but when you have a bad experience the customer service makes you wanna pull your hair out. My first 2 times when I contacted Uber support for any missing/wrong items they gave me my refund for the wrong/missing items. Now they don’t bc I’ve supposedly requested help too many times. One time I ordered ice cream and I got the wrong thing and it came completely melted and Uber refused to give me any kind of refund. Most recently, my driver cancelled my order and I was told I would not be charged. However I was and after waiting 3 days no refund in site and Uber “assured” me I have not been charged even though my bank statements say otherwise. Another small nitpick I have is I hate how you can’t cancel your order without being charged. I understand if there’s already a driver on the way but if I’ve just ordered it or if I’ve been waiting for hours I feel that I should not be charged for cancelling my order. I’m not trying to be a Karen but I kindly request for the customer service to step up their game. Overall though this app is pretty good though and I do recommend it if you want food but don’t feel like getting out of the house. Customer support is horrible**update** I received a response from Apple saying the app developer responded to my review. It seemed like they wanted to help resolve my issue, but no direct contact information to get the help. I am tired of continually emailing the “help” link (which was the only contact info included in the email) and getting a different person every time, and they do not actually help me! I did it twice and no help, and that’s why I’m submitting this review. ** I placed and then canceled an order literally 30 seconds after I placed the order. The reason I cancelled was I did not see that the order said “for pick-up” and I wanted delivery. I didn’t even know that when ordering through Uber eats there are other options?? I’ve never seen that before. Anyways, they said the restaurant had already started making the order and that’s why I was still charged. This was completely false because I called the restaurant a few minutes later and they had not started making the order and received the cancellation successfully. I submitted for help through the app and I received an email that, as a courtesy, I would receive a refund. It’s been two weeks and no refund. I submitted for help again only to get an email saying they issued the refund and I need to check with my bank. My bank, obviously has not received anything. Uber is being very deceitful and likely has fraudulently received millions of dollars because of situations like this. I will not use them ever again..Version: 1.246.10001

Bad serviceOne of the first times I ordered from Uber eats, there did not seem to be a problem. Until we were assigned a driver. They driver collected the food fine and then called to tell us that he was outside. When going outside to collect, we realised he wasn’t there and by this point he had already tapped ‘order complete’ on the app so we could no longer see him on the map. He never shown up in the end so I did not get the food I order. It took so long to get through to Uber eats for a refund, as they don’t have clear contact details / no number to call when things like this happens. I did get a refund in the end but I would of liked my food! On the next time we ordered food, we were kept waiting for 2 hours before our food was delivered. On the app, it kept saying the driver was at the restaurant, then it would take that away and alter the expected delivery time to later. This happened for 2 hours and like I mentioned before, we could only contact the restaurant and not Uber eats as there is no number. However the restaurant had our food ready, it was in fact Ubers poor service. Refused To Deliver MedicineI’ve tried to use Uber eats for over three hours today to try and send medicine and supplies to someone with Covid with a no contact delivery. After waiting an hour on “order confirmed” it finally informed me the order was canceled with no explanation to why but said to try again. With no other option to send the medicine, I put in another order. This time after about 15 minutes the order had a driver assigned and they arrived at the location to work on the order. After about 20 minutes and the status suddenly switched back to “Order Confirmed”. After waiting 20 minutes I called support and was informed “we can not look into your order for another 20 minutes.” I insisted I’m trying to send someone medicine and insisting if they could look into this issue. I was assured “There was no issue as I would be refunded if there was an issue”. I’m not looking for a refund, I’m trying to send medicine to someone suffering through covid. With the support insisting nothing could be done and they could not contact there driver until 20 minutes had passed I had to wait. After 19 minutes, the order was canceled again with no info. I called back and was told that since the order was canceled there was nothing they could do. But I could certainly try to send the order again. The absolute lack of communication and need to assist someone trying to find medical aid is staggering. I will never trust Uber with my money, time, and safety again..Version: 6.115.10002

Uber fails to address their delivery issuesUber has become horrible as a delivery company I recommend no one uses them as a delivery service anymore because when they deliver for any other company such as Walmart along with apple and much more the drivers are not available like they should be to deliver those items which causes many orders with retailers to be cancelled and people have to wait 7 business days to get a refund because of it too not only that but when you order from Uber eats especially a lot of food ends up being missing if not from drivers it can also be because that app tells you that items for food that are missing in stock are available so you end up ordering those items by mistake and because of lack of communication from the app you end up with missing items because of it and when you call them multiple times for missing items their customer service center in the Philippines provide horrible customer service with many agents lacking active listening and empathy where they have bad attitudes as well too and when you want to speak to a manager because of it they make nearly impossible for you to get a manager because Uber itself does not like to address their own problems that they create for customers so at this point never would I ever want to use them as a delivery service and many companies and customers too should cut them off as a delivery service especially.Version: 6.162.10001

Overcharged me and support is entirely unhelpfulI ordered some food under a universal promotion on the app, everything went through and my card was charged correctly. A day later I noticed the order was refunded and upon going into the app, a much larger charge was “unpaid” for my order the day before. The amount due before the promotion applied. Uber Eats continued to try and charge each of my payment options for this incorrect charge, including a friend’s card. When I contacted the only support service provided - a badly set up chat system in the app - they didn’t read my messages and sent generic replies. When I finally got through to someone they asked me for proof of the promotion. Why would I screenshot or record an order that went through correctly?? I wasn’t expecting Uber to try overcharging me after the fact. The last response I got was that they were “looking into it” which was weeks ago. There is still an unpaid charge on my account which means I’m unable to order food or a ride on Uber until the incorrect charge is paid. Poor cancellation processI just order wings from a restaurant and I decided that they were taking too long since we were already 10 minutes into the preparation phase of my order. So I go to cancel it since they aren’t taking care of my order and no driver has picked up my order. So I go to talk to the terrible ai bot and decided to check my options. I say that the restaurant is probably closed and the bot says would I like to cancel for a $20 fee or somewhere around that. So I hit cancel again to check my options and I ask why am I being charged a fee and they follow up with if I would like to cancel my order, not even answering the assigned question they gave me. So I back out of that and I hit cancel order, but every other time I hit cancel order it gave me options and after I hit one of the options it would give me a yes or no confirmation, but this time it just cancels my order and decided to not give me a confirmation. So basically every button I clicked was just taking a chance whether or not a fee was at stake. So I contacted a man that worked there, Paulo, which also seemed bot like and wouldn’t give me genuine answers and repeated himself a bunch. And he said that I couldn’t do anything about it. Something similar happened to epic games where they were sued for accidental purchases, but here it was an accidental cancellation. Terrible Customer ServiceI bought a food from Subway for my lunch. It was saying that the order will be delivered at 12:20 and my lunch ends at 12:30 and I thought I would be just fine. Then 10 seconds later it said 12:35. I wanted to cancel the order because it won’t make it in time. I asked the customer service and they canceled it and did not refund my money. Even it was their fault. They told me it Will arrive before 12:30 and then they extend the time and also refused to refund. Guys trust me do not use Uber Eats. Use Doordash. I had a friend who waited for 30 minutes and no one accepted his order and he contacted the customer service and they assigned him a driver and also refund half of the payment and also give him 5 dollar credit into his account. Rewards ProgramUber would have to (BY FAR) have THE MOST un-loyal rewards program of ANY premium company in the world. I would have to say that no other company I can think of that runs a loyalty reward program that turns over a tier status every 6 months and dependant on which part of the world you live in, those price spends to qualify for status varies dramatically. Every other big company in the world who’s members weren’t able to use/gain/maintain a status were given a 1 year extension to maintain their status and even improve it. When Uber was telling the world not to ride and use their service, you still tuned everybody’s status over and gave no compassionate grounds to extend it. Your 6 month tier rewards program is a joke. You should be ashamed of yourselves in this day and age to provide such a poor and what some would say corrupt rewards program. I would have to spend up to $4,000 to gain platinum status where I am, where some countries on the other side of the world may only have to spend a maximum of half that to gain the same status. There is nothing fair about your rewards program. Here’s a tip. Sort out delivery time estimatesThe estimated delivery times are garbage. They are never accurate!!! the delivery time changes mid way through the order without any explanation and all you do is say we’ll try to be better in the future which clearly doesn’t happen. Would give 0 stars if I could - AVOID AT ALL COSTSWould rate zero if I could. Driver turned up at the restaurant which is a 5 minute drive away, picked up our food, but sat there waiting 20 minutes for another order to be prepared, to deliver on the way. Messaged him to see what was going on and was completely ignored. Our food eventually arrived in a cold, soggy mess. We tried to reheat it to make it edible, but it didn’t turn out well and defeated the whole point of ordering a takeaway. The worst part was watching the driver just sitting at the restaurant for all that time, knowing the quality of our food would be impacted as a result. Horrible customer serviceI’ve had numerous bad experiences and I’m about to try Door Dash instead. More than once I’ve had portions of my order not delivered and little to no compensation. Impossible to reach a real person to actually help. Their chatbot “people” don’t offer a satisfactory solution and you ask for a manager, they just disconnect you and pass you off to the next powerless chatbot. Most recently my order included three dinners with sides and three add-on $4 Caesar salads. We only received 2 salads, both were pathetically skimpy, lettuce had brown edges, no croutons and almost no cheese. Far from what a Caesar is supposed to be. 2 of the entrees were supposed to include sides and they were missing. I paid around $90 total for this meal including tax, Uber fees and a generous tip. We literally got only half the food that I paid for. Uber’s idea of compensation for this was to credit me $5 Uber cash and no apology. I’m disgusted. Too many other similar incidents to list here. And several times I’ve had a driver pretend to not be able to find my apartment (which is easily found on every GPS app including Uber’s), and steal our food. Uber ultimately cancelled the charge but after all the waiting for no dinner, all restaurants were closed and we were left ravenous. The service is awful and hurtfulI ordered McDonald’s last night already scared I wasn’t going to get my order because the drivers kept bouncing back and forth as to who was to pick up my order. A driver finally picks up my order and I’m relieved because it’s been a long day and I just wanted to eat. I get the notifications the drive is outside and when I go out I see that he is literally driving past my house so I try and flag him down using my flashlight and he drives away faster knowing he obviously seen me. So I go out and try to meet him and he drives off even more, which leads me to running. He didn’t expect me to catch up to him so I knocked on the window, he sees me and drives off completely. Bad customer serviceI have placed a order an a item was missing from my order I tried contacting the driver but they didn’t answer and then I tried contacting Uber eats customer service team and they haven’t gotten back to me. The customer service has gotten bad and no proper communication. Letting everyone downThis rating is purely for UberEats. The problems I have experienced every time I used this app are due to this option that lets drivers ‘make stops on the way’. Well, apparently, this seems to include going in the complete opposite direction to my house. So by the time I get my food, it’s lukewarm at best and most of the time, cold. This is not the restaurant’s fault - even though their Customer Service encourages you to point the finger at them - and nor is it the driver’s fault, because they are locked in before knowing where the next stop is. (We checked this with one of our drivers who was very apologetic). I’ve raised this issue with Customer Service multiple times, and their responsive have varied from robotic responses to borderline sarcastic. Pointing out that this ‘stop on the way’ situation is resulting in cold food was met with a response of ‘well you got your food within the delivery time’ - sure, of course I want to wait a minimum 20 minutes for my food to be delivered from the moment my driver leaves the shop because it’ll definitely still be hot by then. Awful customer service when you’ve been scammedOne time I received a fraudulent Uber eats charge and contacted customer support. They told me I had placed the order and when I told them it wasn’t in my order history because I never placed this order, they told me a family member had placed the order from my other account. The order was in someone else’s name to someone else’s address on someone else’s account as I only have one account which I remove my card details from after each order to stop anyone doing this. They refused to admit that this wasn’t me or someone I know, which meant without them confirming the order was wrong I couldn’t get the bank involved because I couldn’t prove it was a fraudulent charge. Uber eats then told me they can not issue refunds, despite the fact they had just issued a refund to someone I know who complained about a slow delivery time and have issued refunds to many people I know for small details like this. How did I get charged for a 40% tip two weeks after I placed an order?I’ve only used this app twice, but giving 2 stars because they apparently charge you for a 40% tip to your delivery driver from a 2 week old order.. I got on the app last night to search for a restaurant in my area. Before I could begin my search, the app asked me to rate my experience from an order I had placed over 2 weeks prior. I happily gave the restaurant good ratings, and gave my delivery driver good ratings as well. Then to my surprise, a notification pops up that a tip has been added to this 2 week old order. How this happened, I have no clue. I then go onto my bank statement to find that I was charged for a 40% tip on this order.. again, how this happened, I have no clue. I never typed in any tip amount, let alone authorize the app to charge a tip to my account. I reached out to customer service about this issue and was responded to with a message that said they are only able to edit tip amounts up to an hour or 2 after delivery, and that I should please be careful to check that my order is correct before submitting it next time. If this is their policy, then how on earth was I charged a tip two whole weeks after the fact?? Not only does their tip policy contradict itself, but how I was charged a tip in the first place still perplexes me. I hope my delivery driver enjoys her tip. Her service was satisfactory. Appalling experienceI ordered a McDonald’s for my family this evening with Uber providing the delivery. It took 85 minutes to deliver, all of the food was cold, and my daughters drink was missing (the restaurant’s fault for the drink). I called their customer service and explained this, only to be told that the delivery time was reasonable. They said to feedback to McDonald’s through their app. I had already done this and they directed me to Uber eats customer service. They asked me if there was anything else, so I asked them to feedback to their driver as I noticed the bag was open before they got to my door. Not happy!! Deleting the appWhen you spend over $50 on dinner, and paying for it to be delivered you would expect the service would try to get the delivery to you ASAP, so your food would at least be hot. My order was given to a cyclist to deliver almost 4km away. It took almost an hour from when it left the restaurant. By that stage my food was cold and soggy. But our house is an anomaly on their app where despite our address being on one street, the app keeps taking drivers for deliveries to another street with the implication there is access from the other street. My kids received wrong orderI have tried complaining since monday about wrong order. Uber keeps sending me to McDonald’s. Terrible customer service, wrong orders and annoying advertisingLive in NZ but travelled to Peru for a business trip and used uber eats while there for a week. For some reason I kept getting texts in Spanish with apparent adverts for Uber Eats. This continued for 3 weeks and couldn’t block the number as the number they sent from changed every time. Tried to reply with unsubscribe. Didn’t work. Contacted Uber eats customer service on messenger, they said to email. I already had but did again using the link they sent me. The texts kept getting sent so I messaged them again and they said there was no support request from me and linked me the same link. I explained that I had received an email the week before saying thanks for the support inquiry we will contact you shortly. They have not messaged me back since then and this was over a month ago. They offer priority services which you pay to be prioritised yet they don’t even take it into consideration when delivery orders. The two times I have paid for this option a driver after picking up my order has gone 30 to 60 minutes out of the way before delivering my food, which of course turns up cold. After waiting that long you can’t turn down the order as you rather cold food then no food. When you go to make a complaint you get told you are not viable for a refund. Won’t use againI’m disappointed not only with the lack of professionalism from the delivery partner I had but also from the lack of care when it came to complaints. My address doesn’t show up correctly on the Uber eats map despite entering it correctly and I made sure to write this in my extra notes so the driver would know. Of course he didn’t read this and ended up on the next road. I messaged and called to let him know he was at the wrong place and found he had dropped my food to the wrong house. He then went to get the food back from the family that had taken it in thinking it was theirs and I had to be put on the phone with this family for them to explain the situation after hearing them argue with the delivery partner for a while. I had agreed to take the food as long as it wasn’t opened and they confirmed it wasn’t. My delivery partner then proceeded to go to another wrong address on the other end of the road despite me standing outside waving to him frantically. I messaged and called and he then cancelled the order. When I tried to complain, Uber gave me an automated response saying the driver made reasonable effort to contact me but couldn’t which is an absolute lie as I have multiple phone calls to him in my phone history. Not onI suspect no food delivery companies will exist within a year, quality of service and most of the time the food itself has gone way downhill (by food I mean the handling of by the driver) NOT GOOD ENOUGH. The fact that anyone can be a driver and there is no hiring process is already sketchy as I have definitely had people steal my food and there’s almost nothing that can be done because no one is held accountable. Don’t waste your money.I am someone who used to frequently indulge in Uber eats and over the past couple years the app has become more and more horrible. There clearly are little to no checks and balances for drivers or the experience of the customer. The ability of drivers to pick up another order while actively getting yours can add anywhere from 20-30 mins to you receiving your food. I’ve had instances where drivers drive AWAY from my house after the app estimates 15-20 mins to delivery and that quickly becomes 35-50 mins. I’ve had times where my driver speaks absolutely no English, making it nearly impossible to communicate with them when I am attempting to help direct lost drivers. Times that I have been met with ice cold food that’s taken a trip around the entire city and requested a refund, I’ve been met with two options; wait 5-7 days for money to be returned to my account or Uber cash. I’ve had anywhere from 50 to 100 dollars worth of Uber cash never returned to my account. They say it’ll be instantly available but then it never shows up at all. Long story short, it’s a mess. The company clearly doesn’t care about the user experience. The picking up a second order capability shouldn’t be an option because if you’re the person getting your food 2nd or 3rd your food is coming cold, soggy, and extremely low quality. Drivers Don’t Follow DirectionsOn Uber, there are ways to give actually write feedback about interactions with drivers. On UberEats, you only have the option of preprepared feedback options to click on. I’ve had multiple bad interactions with drivers with no real way to complain other than a thumbs down. One driver delivered to the wrong apartment, I contact the driver and they refused to accept they delivered to the wrong place, talked over me when I said I didn’t receive and was just extremely rude. Very frequently, the drivers in my area do not read my instructions to find my apartment (I made sure these instructions were very detailed due to living in an apartment) and contact me for assistance finding it. This wouldn’t be much of an issue, but multiple times they were not even on my street. I’ll open my door to wave them down and I’ll see them turning the corner of the street. My instructions include to park on the lot on my street, so they either cannot read a map or did not read my instructions. I’ll then get an alert that the driver had trouble following directions and I may want to update them. There is no way to give further details to these instructions unless I go treasure map details of how many paces to go in each direction. Charged for order that never arrivedSo I’ve ordered 10+ times from Uber eats by now. I always tip drivers 20% or above. I messaged the driver, asked not to knock because our baby is sleeping, and provided more detailed instructions to find our apartment. He said he’s on his way. I see the on the app that the driver’s car is in the complex & see message that delivery is complete. I check at our door. Nothing is there. I check all the other apartments nearby & nothing is there. Driver is already gone so they did not wait like they’re supposed to. Tried calling driver 3x with no success. Report issue to chat and get told that I have requested too many refunds & adjustments to orders in the past, so they cannot give me a refund. It’s not my fault for past items being wrong or that the order never got to me despite messaging drivers to help with directions. I’m not sure why there is so much trouble finding it. There building number is a giant sign on the building. I tell them how to get there, where the entryway stairs are, what floor & letter of apartment, which is also a very clear sign on our door. I’m not going to leave my sleeping baby to wander around the entire complex at night looking for my order. This happened one time before & I got a refund. So basically Uber eats stole my money for a delivery that never got me. Extremely dishonest business practices. Horrendous / non existent customer supportHad an issue with my app for Uber eats as it duped me into tipping a delivery driver almost £10 from a large order we made. We had stated no tip on the order ( as we had already paid a service fee ) but then they contacted me to rate the meal. It automatically added a tip for the driver and as I was frustrated at all the questions and having to rate every single dish in our order, I tried to exit the process and the tip added automatically. I tried to call Uber immediately and they refuse to answer a phone call unless you have an order pending. So then I used the chat facility and was assured that this was just a pending payment and would not be taken out. More often a bag of empty promisesI used to love getting an Uber eats order once or twice a week but now I’m just continuously disappointed. The orders are either incorrect or have the wrong thing in them. I had a whole part of my order missing the other night and was quickly refunded. Having this happen ruins the excitement of what you want to get and there’s no way of knowing if it was the restaurant or the driver as both will say it was the others fault. Not to mention the sudden increase in charges such as service fees and delivery. The items already cost more than going to the restaurant yourself and in lockdown that isn’t always an option. What other charges are going to be lumped on next? Food not delivered. SCAM!!Ordered food at 6:06. Uber eats app said delivery 6:40-7. No food arrived. I ring the restaurant, they tell me the food was picked up at 6:40 (initially). Lots of problemsSo first off my account got disabled because I kept trying to log in and it would refresh and keep coming back to the log in page. Then my card apparently got disabled because it was associated with that account. I don’t really know to be honest because they were awful at letting me know what was going on or how to fix it. I tried the website they suggested to ask for my account to be active again and I had the same issues as before, the website wouldn’t actually let me log in which is just great. Then on a family members account there was an accident on the road when we ordered our food. This was completely unavoidable and when the driver was able to drop off the food 2 hours later they were wonderful. However the app was not equipped to deal with this. First off I get why you can’t cancel without having to still pay but it’s still kind of annoying that overeats kept delaying by 10 mins instead of just letting us know that it would be severely delayed. Lots of IssuesWhile the idea is great for convenience you are better off choosing another food delivery company or getting it yourself as Uber Eats will never resolve any issues you have no matter how important. On one occasion my order was cancelled through the restaurant and the money was never deposited back into my account. On a separate occasion my partner & I ordered from Betty’s Burgers and received a burger with bugs in it to which a complaint was lodged regarding food safety and while I understand this may be a restaurant problem the only response we ever received was sorry for our experience with no attempt to reconcile the situation. The most recent occurrence is that when ordering from Hello Harry we paid for a full size bottle of pepsi and when delivered all we received was a single can despite this product not even being advertised on the menu. Uber eats was once again notified of this error and no refund or attempt to resolve this mistake was made. While these are all small issues, constant mistakes like this with no care factor or follow up is just a rip off when you pay service fee and the delivery fee. Very disappointed to say the least. Intentionally Obfuscated SupportUber Eats support is, by design, incredibly difficult to contact. Help boils down to an FAQ tree with a series of very specific problems, many of which simply offer a sentence of advice, and only a select few of which will connect you to a representative, for that specific problem and nothing more. This means that, by design, most problems are literally impossible to even contact support about in the first place. This extends outside the app, as their help numbers are for drivers and resturants only, and their support email has been discontinued. For example, if you accidentally order with a payment method that has an insufficient balance, Uber Eats will only to recognise that payment method as insufficient. You can add hundreds of dollars to that card, you can delete and re-add it multiple times, you can uninstall and reinstall the app itself, no matter what you do, for a random amount of time you are simply locked out of the service; and support, again by design, allows no avenue to request help whatsoever. I think I’m done with this app finally.I’m not paying for your pass. So why do you show me all these options for free delivery? I can’t see the actual delivery price until I’m done with my order. DELIVEROO IS BETTER! WORST APP AND SERVICE EVER EXPERIENCEDThree occasions now of where my order has apparently been ‘accepted by the restaurant’ but never arrived. And don’t bother using the app to report it. All you’ll get is an automated response after waiting 2 hours for an order not to be delivered. No sympathy or compensation which is not good enough at all. If there’s not enough drivers don’t accept the order and make it look like it’s going to be delivered for 2 hours, by when a persons hunger is gone. Cancel it straight away. And to top it off there is no phone number to enquire on what’s happening with the order (very convenient for them). How ridiculous that you have to wait around for 2 hours before finding out your order is randomly cancelled on the app with no explanation?! If there was a support line to call, I could have called in and found out straight away. The whole system is crap. In this day and age how can a company operate without a dedicated telephone line. I shouldn’t have to go through the app to report the issue, only to receive an automated reply after reporting. Technology should not be replacing human interaction to this extent! ALSO this first happened during the month of Ramadan while fasting for 19 hours, I waited to break my fast with an order only to be disappointed the same way. Worst delivery serviceThe worst customer service ever. Contacted them for the first time because of a long hair found in my food. I provided pictures and proofs, they cut me off giving me £2 refound as one time goodwill gesture. Contacted them the second time for items missing and other items swapped without my permission on my groceries, once again proved with photos and receipts, took them 2 days to reply, not even well sorted. Never using againFirst time Uber Eats user today. Ordered a box of donuts from a local store to deliver for a colleagues bday in the office. It’s tricky to go out of the office in our line of work so having them delivered was an easy option. I placed the order, then saw that an Uber Eats driver had picked them up. I received notice that my PayPal account was charged. But then within a couple of minutes the driver had cancelled the order and returned them to the store saying that he couldn’t reach me. Worst Customer Service and delivery experienceI ordered my meal and was shown it would arrive in 50 - 60 minutes. An hour and some time later, I contacted uber eats customer service to let them know the food was late, but the first agent told me it was an expected delay and dropped off from the chat. Sometime later, I got through to the second agent to let her know that it was almost 2 hours and my food hadn’t arrived. She investigated my case only to tell me my driver was at the restaurant to pick up my meal. I trusted her, but when I checked the app, the driver was in another suburb. After a few minutes, I got in touch with the third agent, and he told me that my meal had been dropped off at my house, but it hadn’t. As I tried to tell him this, he exited the chat. By now, my meal was 2.5 hours late, so I got through to the fourth agent to ask them to refund my money which she did, but she also told me she would make a note of my experience. As I tried to let her know how often I got lied to by the other agents, she also ended the chat abruptly. I have had countless experiences where UberEats has delivered the wrong meals and not refunded my money! I’m truly shocked that this is allowed. Many times I have told Uber about the problem and they simply say they can’t look into the matter further. It’s ridiculous. I worry for people with allergies as a mistake in a food order could be life threatening, and UberEats doesn’t even take the time to look into the matter. Not even a question of asking for pictures. It’s ridiculous how inconsistent this service is. There are constantly problems with delivery partners and the restaurants. I’ve had drivers not show up multiple times, drop my food on the floor right in front of me, constantly unable to find my address (at many different addresses). Don’t even botherBeen using the app years. Recently I’ve had to ask for refunds or complain about missing items. But I ordered food 2 days ago from my local kfc, literally about 10mins drive. Ordered at 6.30 for me and my kids, and it gave me 7.10 expected, latest 7:35, which was fine. My driver arrived at kfc around 7.10, which was fine, but he was sat outside kfc until 7.50!! It kept coming up saying that they had multiple orders, mien was ready but they were waiting on someone else. My food got here at 8, and it must of been sat in the car from 7.10 because I was soo cold! I tried applying for a refund as it was the worst I’d ever had, I had to send a picture and a comment - which I did. They tried to deny my refund, and they had no excuse, just that they wouldn’t do it. I explained my previous account was used 3 years ago and since then I’d had to set up a new account because of forgetting my details, and I’d been using my current account for nearly 2 years. Customer serviceWe ordered food from McDonald’s with delivery from Uber eat, hardly anything came, I called customer services the first time the man who was on the phone too me verbally abused and called me a liar. When I even offered to FaceTime to show the proof of what was supposed to be in my order when he was telling me a completely different order. I asked for a manager because of this, this legal consumer right of mine was refused and he put the phone down on me. I then called again straight after to see if I could get this resolved and was met by a nicer customer service advisor but again she refused for me ti speak to manager no email or anything was given I asked for both recordings too be sent to me as this has now caused a family member with learning difficulties a great amount of stress. She denied this and told me there’s nothing they could do. So I asked if someone could email me my recordings please as I will be taking this to a consumer claims court for the stress and negligence of both customer service advisors. I regularly got discriminated against and customer service did not helpI am disabled and set my leave at door note to explain my disability and why I could not meet my drivers. Many times, they ignored my request (even though my house is a little flat on the corner and easy to access, no locked gates) and tried to run out the timer so I could not get my order. Hit or missAlot of my issues here arent the drivers. For the most part they are pretty good. Or what they are delivering is closed up in a bag and they cant verify its all there. My issues are mostly app related. Like constantly telling me if i added notes to my address it would be easier for drivers to find me. Literally am that one person that has detailed landmark instructions on how to find me. Maybe look at those notes and dont consider me having a conversation with the driver about literally anything else as they are lost. Maybe i want to make sure they actually did my drink iced this time cause for some reason the coffee place near me it does not see it as iced on thier end even though the app has it listed as iced. Today its decided i must speak spanish and changed all of my notifications to spanish. I know i order ALOT of mexican food but cmon. We like burritos at work, its a thing. We had use the APP several times and the experience is not bad, until one day our food never appeared, we found the system is so poor to solve any real problem. Here is the thing, we order some food for a birthday dinner, the driver just send one message to ask our house’s color and then clicked “food delivered”, then we lost everything. We were just waiting on the drive way, and no visible people appeared at all. When we tried to contact the service team, we were wondering if we met the AI made in a dumb quality. They said they had asked the driver and she had done every steps and so we would still be charged. But it obviously no one asked a simple question - where is the food? Maybe they don’t care at all. It’s a huge hole in the system - drivers just need to claim they follow the protocols and then the delivery is done, and no matter where is the food. No option for customer service or food.Have been a recent frequent user of the ap despite issues in the past. Tonight ordered food, payed for it, order was prepared, on the way, arriving now. I got the notification to meet when I was standing at the door. There is clear instructions saying both that I am blind and describing how to find the driveway and the house. Then the ap told me the driver had arbitrarily cancelled my order which if I wanted I should reorder in the ap. When I tried to do this I was told the balance was too low on visa bla…. So clearly the money has not yet been refunded. Furthermore the store is likely to have closed by the time I finish this review. No calls or attempts to contact by driver. This is how the ap treats the customers who pay the monthly fee to be supposedly valued. For ALL that complainYou can’t expect your food to be piping hot when you live 20 or 30 minutes from the restaurant you order from. Also, most drivers don’t want $3 for a 10 mile trip with zero tip. Just fyi it has been found that when a restaurant is backed up the food is packed BUT sits there for several minutes waiting to be dispersed to the drivers. The restaurant handling of the food isn’t the best either. 95% of the time your food is old, cold, soggy, and messed up BEFORE it is even handed to us to deliver to you 20 minutes away. BIG FACT: we can only VERBALLY confirm all the items in your order. The bags are SEALED CLOSED. So, stop blaming drivers. Call your favorite restaurant and complain to them about their food quality. Took our moneyWe ordered McDonald’s breakfast on ubereats online it took our order and the £30 out the bank we later realised the address was wrong and called the driver picking our order up she answered and pretended not to here us then proved proved she could clearly hear us then put the phone down as soon as the phone went down a new driver was assigned and he answered the phone and said he would deliver it to the right address 10 seconds later a new driver was given we called them 14 times and was put on voice mail everytime as he was on the phone to someone else so never got through then ubereats blanked and got rid of our order tracker and details and once we managed to get it back it said enjoy your order so it had been delivered but not to the right place so we went down to the address it was delivered and it wasn’t there. We’ve phoned ubereats on all phone numbers possible and we just would get the phone put down and we rang the McDonald’s and was told no food had been delivered back to them and we need to have contacted Uber however this is impossible as online there is no way of doing so. AvoidI just deleted the app. I’ve been using uber eats for years however the service deteriorated in the past few months. My partner ordered pizza, it was ready for collection for 1.5hrs, we tried cancelling by calling customer service but we were advised this is not possible and we should accept the order no matter what (it was past midnight at this point). After some time it was finally picked up. Pizza was stone cold when we received it but uber eats would not want to refund. Last night i used the app to order, i was required to place order within 4 mins to get free delivery. When i did submit my order i received a push notification that order did not go through and that i should try again in a few mins. So i did in 5 mins. To my surprise, delivery guy turns up with 2 exactly same orders and of course i was charged twice. I looked at the app and there were 2 orders on the list. However there was never any tracking for the first one and as i said i got a notification it did not go through. I refused to accept 2 sets of orders. Fraudulent AppI have been a long time user and today I have cancelled my subscription after the last 5, going on 6 hours of asking to be properly refunded for $13. I am gluten free, the restaurant did not make the order gluten free. I had to throw away the food. This is the second time this has happened. I submitted a complaint got $4 back. Submitted again, then told I was already given $4. No ubereats, I want the full $13. I sent follow up messages, ignored after 4 hours. I went to facebook. The “manager” reached out asking for a phone number. I received a call on what’s app from the UK. He was a complete jerk and kept asking for more information. Then was telling me I needed to go to WorldRemit app to set up an account and put in my bank account information. I am an accountant and worked in banking, this is literally the most fraudulent thing ever. When I was taking a moment to look over the website after receiving the email, he started getting mad at me for being difficult. Again more fraudulent behavior. I again asked why he couldn’t just refund it to my card on file and he said I only had the option of this site. Scam, scam, scam. He told me if I did not comply then he would end the call. After the call ended, I looked at the site further and it requires YOU to pay to have money transferred. Absolute joke! Nothing against the driversI have nothing against the drivers who drive for Uber it’s just a job but it’s the fact that not only is food more expensive on the app, there’s a delivery fee and now they do multiple drop offs so the food is guaranteed to be cold before it even gets to you. TerribleToday I ordered a meal of Uber eats thinking I won’t have to cook today. I then get a message telling me that my food had been delivered I check my door and nothing is there. I then go onto the Uber east app and clicked on the part where I can try get in contact with the driver via his phone number. I had called about 5 times and it kept telling the line was busy and ended the call. My friend then had enough and failed the number through her phone that had been called out in the voicemail. He picked up straight away. We then ask about the delivery he told us that it said a different number door however I checked and it said my door number. He then finally admitted that he had delivered it to the wrong address and realised it once he had delivered and didn’t bother to notify us which would explain why he wouldn’t pick up the calls through the Uber app. I then try to contact the app and tell them what has happened and they tell me they can’t do anything. I then call the main office and they tell me they can’t do anything. A few days ago I ordered food which totalled an amount of £37, the food came drenched in coke, soaking and inedible with two incorrect items. I lost two hours of my Saturday night and my dinnerI placed an order at 8:30pm to a restaurant that closes at “8:45” but I didn’t know that information at the time I placed my order. The order went through, but it kept getting delayed due to no drivers available. Then when a driver was available, they arrived at a closed restaurant and canceled the delivery, so it went to the next driver and so on. I realized what was happening and I tried to cancel my order but I was not permitted to do so without speaking to an agent. I finally got connected with someone at 10:30pm after skipping dinner completely. I wanted the order canceled, wanted to be refunded, as well as compensated for the trouble. I lost 2 hours of my Saturday night as well as my dinner. The agent said I would not receive any compensation, just a refund. Suspicious refund protocolsI ordered 3 different foods in a row and they were all cancelled after the restaurants accepted my orders—the money was paid, the restaurant accepted the order etc, and then within 3 minutes or less the app told me the restaurant had to cancel my order (probably because I’m far away and they weren’t confident they’d find a driver). I ASSUMED I would get a full refund, but the standard procedure was to refund me between 2 and 3 dollars each for these meals I ordered which were between 45 and 60 dollars. I had to realise that I only got a small refund and take the time to ask for a full refund… I ASSUMED it was a sensical system of refunds etc, but no…. One of the Uber eats workers in support told me “I’m sorry you waited so long for your food and it was cancelled” and this was a complete fabrication, I didn’t wait long at all to be notified it was cancelled, they must have imagined the restaurant made the meal up and then couldn’t deliver it, but the timing was not right for that kind of inference so I’m not sure but I think it’s not a sophisticated system. The timing of the order acceptance and the order cancellation should be a direct result of a full refund, and this is expected given the big company and tech gurus available: I had to dig through my bank statement and notice what happened and then go through effort of asking for refund-full for each individual transaction of the three and hoping it works… ANYWAYZZZ.Version: 6.194.10005

Third time wasn’t a charmI have been using this app for quite a while now, and while I can understand a missing item here and there (sometimes stuff just happens), issues for 3 orders in a row is ridiculous. Last night we ordered from the McDonald’s we always do and when the driver got here, it was someone else’s order. She had delivered our food to that person instead. When we told her the issue she said okay and then left with the wrong order so we were left with nothing. So we ordered the exact same thing with a note to the driver to double check that it was the food we had ordered before bringing it upstairs. The time goes by and the app notifies me that the food has been delivered. It hadn't been, and the driver hadn’t contacted us at all. At this point we had given up on the drivers for the night. Now fast forward to less than an hour ago and we decide to try again since it is now daytime and not at night and maybe we had just been unlucky. The driver arrives and is missing ten dollars of food that we ordered. We ask him to wait a sec while we check the bags and he runs back to his car and drives off. Then we call the restaurant and they confirm that all items had been bagged and handed together to our driver. Which certainly makes it seem that he kept one considering how he ran off. Disappointing service.Received the wrong sauces on the meals, could not eat them and was refused a refund or to rectify the situation. Ended up having microwaved butter chicken from coles when I spent $40. Did not receive a reply until 8:30 when I had ordered it an hour prior. No dinner and no word of what was going on. Imagine ordering dinner at 7 o clock when you get home from work, being told dinner won’t make it till quarter past 8 which was fine, but then when it arrives the order has something on it that you are allergic too and have not asked for. And then when you try rectify the situation you don’t hear back until just after 8:30 and the best they can do is send you a 12 dollar voucher to order food which by the way did not cover the cost of my original meal and delivery. So it’s safe to say I will never ever use this app again or recommend it to anyone. Mixed feelingsI do prefer this to deliveroo, unfortunately something needs to be figured out when it comes to messed up orders. After reading other reviews it is a prevalent issue, it is not a one off and is off putting. Not only is ordering a take away more expensive than cooking the food yourself especially now when restaurants have had to increase their prices because of the pandemic, the service charges on top of the order plus optional tipping make the experience quite costly. Of course, we as customers do have a choice of not getting a take away, but that’s not the point. If I am paying for something that’s not cheap and get an order that’s wrong it makes me not want to order again. If I order a meal box with the main ingredient being a burger and there isn’t one when the order arrives, what is the point of having the item available in the menu. Messing up dip orders is also an issue, I.e wrong dips but especially no dips. This happens so often and as others have said, the restaurant absolves themselves of responsibility just as uber does. I’m shocked with the customer serviceI’m shocked with how I was treated by the customer service after I waited 1+ hours for my order! The driver mixed up orders and ended up delivering our order to another client. A girl from the Uber Eats call centre called me saying that I didn’t need to worry because I wouldn’t be charged for it and simply said BYE. Didn’t let me make any questions, I asked her to wait cause I wanted to say something and she simply disconnected the call. I had been waiting for 1h for my order, I didn’t want a refund, I wanted them to get the restaurant to prepare a new order and give some priority to my delivery, because if I ordered again I would be depending on drivers delays delivering orders to addresses on the way (which is so annoying). Tried messaging their chat and simply no one could do anything to help, they would just keep saying that I was going to be refunded, which to me didn’t matter st that moment, I was just hungry. Dismal experiences and bad customer serviceWe’ve had several bad experiences with UberEats in the Brighton area - specifically the app itself, the link between the driver and the restaurant, hasn’t worked so twice in a row, our food has sat waiting for 45 minutes at two different restaurants to the extent one restaurant had to call UberEats support. Unfortunately, in the first instance, a Thai restaurant, the bag was waiting so long that it got wet, broke, leaked Massaman curry all over our food and then when the driver handed it over the bag split and food went all over the floor. We rated our experience and were refunded, but our dinner was already ruined. In the second instance, we were missing a burger after a 90 minute wait (the second driver also got lost, in Brighton, which isn’t exactly a labarinth), which was obviously pretty key, and UberEats declined to refund the cost of it because apparently us asking for two refunds in a row was considered suspect. Aside from how insulting that is, it’s doubly frustrating as the customer service person clearly didn’t even check the logs to see what not only did we experience serious delays and technical app issues, both drivers acknowledged issues with the food, but that in one case the restaurant had to flag this with UberEats directly as well as offering us a free burger which we couldn’t claim as it required collection. Deleted since 2020I vowed never to use uber eats again last year and I’m pleased to say I’ve followed through, and so has my entire household. The customer service is atrocious. McDonald’s delivery was the last thing tethering me to this horrendous company so I’m so glad that I can now get McDonald’s delivered for FREE elsewhere (as opposed to £3.49 when the restaurant is literally 2 minutes down the road). Contrary to uber eats’ website, the cost of delivery has nothing to do with the distance of the restaurant from your address. The deals are fake. There have been multiple times where a deal was offered like free delivery for the next 5 minutes (funny how it always runs out no matter how quickly you try to order) or a 50% discount, but the discount is never applied at checkout. No supportCome home from work and looked at my bank account to see money taken from Uber when I didn’t get Uber so I thought I was hacked, connected the Uber company and they locked my card on the Uber app so it can’t be used. So much cheaper just to go get food myselfI don’t even feel like I’m paying for a convenience anymore if it takes drivers on average, an hour to get food, even from fast food places. The extra fees are horrendous and sometimes add up to more than what I’m buying. And it means if you use the 40% off codes they basically just pay for free delivery and no extra fees in some circumstances. Additionally, TWO times now an ‘authorisation hold’ has been put on with my order. You guys never used to do this and the most recent time it wasn’t just £1, it was £56 (the same amount as my order). This meant I had £112 reserved from my bank account. The pre-authed amount was reserved for almost two weeks! I contacted your customer service and it was awful, same automated responses that didn’t actually answer my questions and just deflected the blame onto my bank. Uber is the only seller I use that has ‘pre-authorisation’ payments showing up in my account. It is very clear when you’re talking to an automated response too. Bad customer service/experiencesI normally use Uber Eats regularly, and when there are issues, they handle them swiftly. I recently had an experience that left me with a bad taste in my mouth, and it wasn’t the food. I had order food for my family and watched on the map as the driver (who was shown on a bicycle, which was a lie) drove up to my house, slowed down for a second, and then kept on driving. I went outside to look for the food as the app said it was delivered. However the driver never got out of their car or came up to my door. I have a Nest doorbell which shows no one arrived at the time of my supposed delivery, and I had screenshots showing the mere seconds between the car slowing down in front of my residence and then driving off without stopping. I also received my “delivery confirmation” picture, which was my bag of food in the driver’s passenger seat. All of this and Uber Eats customer service said I can’t prove I didn’t receive the food. And they reasoned that since I didn’t order again to replace the food, I must have received it. And now their customer service refuses to answer my messages, and continuously tries to close out the ticket without a response. Disgusting service and customer supportNearly every-time I order through Uber eats, I’m missing items. Customer service can’t resolve this, so I loose out on money! Standards of food haven’t always been great, but that’s not always down to the restaurants and stores .. more to do with the drivers who have no respect for customers! Seperate Deliveries and Wrong DirectionsI don’t understand the point in Uber letting drivers take two seperate deliveries at the same time. Mine is always second and it always comes to me luke warm. What is the point of paying a service fee and delivery fee if I’m waiting longer for delivery and having food that is colder. ETA sooo unreliable - least preferred delivery serviceCompared to Deliveroo and Foodora, I prefer ubereat the least except the other two isn’t available at one of our locations. When I work in the city which is most of the week, I never use Ubereats. Why can’t you figure out how to give some reasonable expected time. ETA will change to one minute to go when driver hasn’t even picked up the order yet? Why would it change to arriving in the one minute when it was about 5? Then keep extending because obviously if they’re still cooking, how can it get here in the next minute? Service is not the same as it used to beUber eats is getting more expensive while providing less service. I order food almost everyday using Uber eats. Most often if there is an issue, its resolved quickly at no risk to me. Today however was a different story. I ordered a beef noodle soup (Pho) and when it arrived the packaging was a little wet and when i unpack, the bottom of the soup container breaks and spill soup all over the counter. Initially Uber eats would not provide a refund saying i didn't attach an image (which i did! Delivery Partner steals ordersI’m very upset with the poor control of Uber has towards they delivery partners. have already been more than 5 times that they stolen my orders. I can assure this, because I saw they behaviour a few days ago with some people I met and they all work as a delivery partner for Uber. So; the way they do it is as follows. Customers ask for food by the app and when the delivery partner picks up the order from the restaurant, They simulate that they are on their way but then just 3 minutes before or so; they cancel the delivery indicating that they couldn’t deliver because is no safe parking place or by one of the options that uber gives to them. Or also indicate that they actually delivered the order, but obviously they do not deliver it. So, they keep the food for their consumption. I always complain Uber about that but they do nothing to solve this issue, they just answer my messages saying they’re sorry and gave me back the money. But this is not enough for me; this issue can’t continuously happen with a company that handles deliveries to people. The people who work for Uber must be honest and not commit these kinds of things that generate bad image for uber. Convenient app but could use some improvements.I have been a happy customer for a few years now but feel that certain changes in the app could have been designed and executed better. My first concern with the service is the option to include a tip for the driver before placing my order. I have tipped drivers in the past when placing my order, only to be kept waiting for delivery well past the estimated arrival time feeling disappointed with the service and tipped the driver for it. I strongly feel that incentivising the driver for their service should only be requested after the delivery has been completed. Not only that but I feel that not including a tip when placing your order discourages the driver to accept your order causing longer waiting times. My second concern is that customer service is always “unavailable” when having a problem with my order. I am always assisted almost instantaneously with orders that i do not have a problem with but need help to change my order, yet every time an order has gone past the latest arrival time slot I am unable to be connected with the support team. Misleading and deceptiveThere are several features of this app that are misleading or deceptive: (1) sometimes when I pay extra money for priority it is apparent that my driver is attending to other orders before mine; (2) Uber does bait and switch - today I searched for a particular meal type, after I’d selected a restaurant and put in my order, the app informed me that the restaurant was no longer available; (3) delivery estimates are often woefully inaccurate and immediately blow out as soon as customers have handed over their cash and locked in their order; (4) riders frequently don’t actually deliver the food - it either never arrives at all or they leave it in the lobby of my building without bringing it to the door (which defeats the whole purpose of having it delivered); (5) customer service involves an automatic decision tree that inevitably leads to Uber not actually providing any service; (6) in the rare events you can reach one, Uber’s customer service representatives frequently blame local small businesses rather than taking responsibility for issues that are plainly a result of their poor business practices; (7) Uber’s refund policy involves them telling you that you can either let them keep your money and have a credit or wait 10 days for a refund. Bad customer serviceUsually have pretty decent experience with orders. Might not arrive by the original estimated time but at least the food arrives hot or warm. Tonight had a bad experience with an order. My estimated delivery time kept getting pushed back but was still under the “latest arrival time”. The driver finally picked up my order 30-40 minutes after the order was placed. When i was tracking the driver on his way to pick up my order, it showed that he was still on his way and not that he had arrived at the restaurant and was waiting. When the estimated delivery time updated to past the latest arrival time, a note was added from Uber stating that the restaurant was experiencing delays and that was why my order was going to be late. How was he waiting when the tracker was showing him far away from the restaurant?That note disappeared when the driver was able to beat that latest arrival time by 2 minutes. My food arrived cold. If it was the restaurant that was delayed, the food would have still been warm. I contacted customer service and they says my order was ineligible for a refund. (Because it arrived 2 min before their latest arrival time???) that latest arrival time should be if the restaurant is delayed not if your food arrives cold. Delivery times often very wrongMore times than not estimated delivery times are frustratingly wrong. Whether it be in underestimating restaurant preparation times to underestimating delivery driver pickup and deliver times. Deliveries have never come earlier than estimated. And if I were Uber, enticing hungry people to order food I would be underestimating delivery times too. Even more frustrating, the app has no place to give feedback on Uber’s estimated time. Only options to give feedback and negative review on the restaurant and the driver but again no place to comment on time it took to deliver food; Taking no responsibility for their Uber’s own estimates. Last experience I paid for priority delivery, which I thought would improve times, unfortunately priority delivery only starts after order is picked up and not when driver accepts order, so I waited and watched on the “track order” feature as the Uber driver drove all around the city while the order was ready waiting on the restaurant. After the delivery I changed my my pre tip amount for driver from 18% to 15% and again no place to comment on delivery time, there were two people in the car which makes me think they accept multiple food and people orders at the same time, which in this case explains why driver drove all over city before going to restaurant. Customer service is terrible and I’ve been charged multiple timesI frequently order from Uber eats but have found lately that the drivers randomly don’t show up and Uber refunds aren’t being processed correctly. Uber commits to a refund when the order doesn’t show up or is wrong and then has so many people dealing with it to fix the mistake that they just keep making it worse and charging extra. I had been sent a message saying they were refunding me $60 for a partial missing order. They refunded $12 instead of $60 then tried to correct it and billed me $55 instead resulting in my account being in deficit and therefore can’t be used. Six different people have responded to my message all have processed different transactions $4.50, 7.50 etc none are correct and now I’ve paid multiple times for an order I only received half of and my account is in deficit. None of the people responding read the message sent or the trail of correspondence history or even looked at the photo of the correspondence I attached to the message which was from Uber. Food order wrong then no immediate helpWe ordered MacDonalds and only half the order was delivered (drinks only), leaving 4.5 year old in tears because she was so excited tracking the delivery driver, taking the order from the driver and then getting inside and finding she had no hot cakes to eat. Rang MacDonalds they said Uber driver took food without their knowledge, it wasn’t their mistake and to contact Uber. Contacting Uber - they only have an app form that you fill out and they will get back to you in 24hours. So no one takes immediate responsibility and your left out of pocket and hungry until someone resolves it in a min 24hours later. I ended up driving to MacDonalds and sorting it out, which wasn’t really a hassle after all, so from now on I’ll just save my $7 per order, go get it myself in the first instance and ensure my food is hot and correct. Terrible service from Uber staffWhile at first the service seemed good after a few months the drivers either don’t bring food or the staff at McDonald’s never properly check food.. while this service offers delivery if the food isn’t delivered yet paid for you expect your money back regards to how many times this has happened. If a driver hasn’t bought food and you call the restaurant to confirm this then a full refund should awarded that’s what’s been paid for.. yet UBER think it’s acceptable to keep your money which is not acceptable over the last few months the money they have taken and not returned is a joke. There’s no way to get in touch with UBER or the drivers. The worst food delivery appThey have the worst support team in the whole world. These people just cut around the bush and never understand your concern on using their services. If there is any inconvenience these people have no control over the situation, even if it is delivery people stealing the food, late delivery, food quality issue they just don’t care and will end the conversation without acknowledging. They have tons of internal bugs to be resolved on the app and on their back end team. I used the coupon to order food and the coupon was still active even after i used it. So i order more food for my friends and later the next day it showed i had to pay the extra amount to use the service. If it’s not better than the ones available, why would I use it?We consumers will always choose the best available options out there for us right. When UberEats came I thought of giving it a try. There was a lot of promos so I thought of ordering this Christmas. While browsing and adding items to cart I mistakenly pressed place Order (which I didn’t want because I wanted to order multiple items and there was a promo which wouldn’t apply for orders under a certain amount). I immediately pressed cancel without a second delay. Now the app says they restaurant have started preparing and order cannot be cancelled. So I have to contact customer support for that on phone. They took 10 minutes to cancel the order, then said I’d still be charged for this. Now I lost my coupon, have a negative amount in my account. Why would now someone would go back to using it!!?? Also while ordering it doesn’t even show that a negative amount is added. There’s almost nothing in the whole UI to tell you that negative amount is added until the delivery man picks up the package TBH the app UI/UX both are very user friendly and intuitive. But it takes only 1 bad experience. After 3 weeks of no refund, I followed the refund steps on the website. The first request was declined stating I wasn’t charged at all. I opened a new refund request and provided all the information required and first got told no cancellation fee was taken (that’s because I didn’t cancel the order, the restaurant did). SAVE YOURSELF, USE ANY OTHER APPI recently moved out in the middle of nowhere and my OG Grubhub doesn’t come out here. So I decided to try uber eats because they do, and my son wanted pizza. I ordered from Pizza Hut and got the discount and was stoked to get such a good deal and so we just had to wait for it to come. I checked the status a couple of times and it was just at the halfway mark the last time I’d looked but honestly I expected it to take a while bc we’re OUT here, and they also said I’d have to give a pin (therefore I’d have to interact w/the driver, which I requested-hand to hand) so I was just cleaning & playing w/my son like always. I needed to take the trash out and when I opened the door, there sat my pizza and cheesesticks, on the ground, in the pouring rain. Both boxes and their contents were fully saturated. I never got a knock, text, email, not any kind of warning or notification that it was here. I have a picture of it. And when I confront them, of course I have to talk to someone who doesn’t speak English enough to understand me, or at least pretends not to, and that got me $7 in Uber cash for a $19 order. I reached back out to them but of course, they tried to act like they were helping me by robbing me and trying to justify why. Appalling serviceOutrageous, placed an order with Ubereats last night, delivery driver didn’t even make an effort to show up, he was driving round for a while and wouldn’t listen to any directions I was giving him. Albeit our address is very easy to find so he shouldn’t have had a problem in the first place. After sending multiple texts he wasn’t answering but reading the messages, he didn’t make any effort to find us. He rang and his phone connection was horrendous and we couldn’t hear a word he was saying. After 20 minutes of waiting outside trying to see where our order was the driver gave up and essentially stole our order. This in turn I reported to ubereats letting them know we were stood outside for the whole time it said he was “here” to which we could see he wasn’t at our address on the map. They have said to us that we cannot get the money back because the Ubereats driver “followed the policy” and they take hours just to reply to emails back. You cannot contact the phone line without being charged £6 + standard rate for your phone company. Ridiculous I will not be using Uber eats ever again! I cannot believe that they have done this and they let people get away with stealing food from others £37 worth of food to be exact! What a scamI have only ordered a few times from Uber eats and have had issues with items missing but the driver is apologetic and as disappointing as it is to not get full order you get a quick refund from Uber, I just had a meal not even delivered! UberEats are ripping people offI received my order after 40-45 mins. I didn't mind the wait to be honest but when I got my food, there were TWO missing items. I quickly rang and texted the driver and he said it’s not his fault and that he was sorry about it. I asked him to double check next time if he thought that Mcdonalds in Grey Lynn always makes mistakes. So I moved on from that, I asked UberEats to refund my missing items (I was already so annoyed). They will happily send someone on a bicycle halfway across the city, get lost and then send another delivery person. Worst Customer Experience of My LifeDue to work circumstances I was at a hotel with no food options nearby. I am in a foreign country, with nothing in walking distance, no money for both food and a taxi. I dont have enough food packed in my lunchbox for the whole trip, so I have no other options but to Uber Eats. I put an order in for the cheapest food I can find (Churches). My card was not accepted. I tried several times before realizing it was my bank putting a fraud alert because they havent changed my status to always traveling. I called and got that sorted. Then tried to add my payment method back. The app not said there was an error multiple times. I reached out to customer support who told me that their policy has a daily verification limit that if reached you cannot add payment methods. My apple pay and Paypal options were not being allowed to connect to the app either… at this point I have been dealing with this for hours, painfully starving, nauseated, and it was about to affect the work trip I was on because I was getting very ill from having no food. Diabolical customer serviceI placed an order and the delivery driver never attended my property, called that he was outside my building but when I got outside there was no one there, I called him several times telling him he was at the wrong address but he kept hanging up on me, he went on to mark the order as delivered even though it never was. I called customer service and they told me to use the help section, I explained the situation to the customer service agents but they kept telling me the driver waited for me outside my house for 9 minutes and that the order was delivered, I showed them proof of the fact that I kept calling the guy 2 minutes after he called me that he was outside my apartment as there was no one there when I got downstairs, neither did I see any food at the entrance…called him 5 times but he kept hanging up, I requested a refund because I had to reorder the items but they kept refusing my refund request, also, the customer service agent I spoke with on the phone was very rude and offered no assistance whatsoever. Terrible customer serviceI had the most terrible customer service experience I’ve ever had on this app. I use DoorDash and Grubhub and never have had an issue like this. I had a driver pick up my order and when they almost arrived suddenly canceled the order. When I contacted customer service asking for an app credit for the inconvenience they told me “they have limits to their services and Uber cannot provide credits” That’s the first time I’ve ever been told a company that charges double the price of the actual order was unable to provide a credit for an extreme inconvenience. So here I am almost 2 hours of waiting and expecting my coffee after a reorder. Hopefully this driver actually brings my order cause Uber certainly doesn’t care about my inconvenience. Uber is a terrible unethical companyTwo recent experiences with uber eats show some of the ways this company is terrible for customers and restaurants. The first, the driver unilaterally cancelled the order after an hour, giving no reason, and returned the food to the restaurant: waste for the restaurant, no dinner for me. The second, the app took my friend’s order but said the restaurant had to provide the driver (without notice to the restaurant), so the restaurant made the food and waited for a driver that never came, then a staffmember had to drive it themselves once it had gone cold. HangryTonight I ordered from you and had some IT issues as my purchase would not go through. I used the chat help and waisted over 20 minutes trouble shooting with them only to be told the reason there was a problem is because the restaurant is closed even though it did not show as closed on my end. Uber cheats on driversI heard many times from drivers that they do not have trust on Uber and recently I was told from a few drivers that uber cheats on them. I wanted to share this info with you guys. 1) A driver said uber gives more jobs to new drivers and he said to me he has also proof screen shot of mobile that his income does not match with number of hours he works if you compare with same days and hours with new drivers. 2) uber cheats on estimation pick up time. This is very interesting to hear. When ever uber sends a job to driver for example 6 minutes away from rider, when you see the route through google map of waze it becomes 12-15 minutes some how in actual time. So driver has to drive more to catch the rider. Basically if uber shows the right time for picking up the rider, driver may reject the job and will not accept. This is cheeky way to deal with rider and driver. Even if driver notices the wrong picking up time and if driver cancels the job it will effect cancellation rate and in one month time driver may get suspended by uber for many cancellations rate. I hope you gets the trick. 3) uber doesn't have operator to answer the emails. Basically they have robot and computer itself picks key words from people and drivers emails and match them and sends the email. BrokenI have had a terrible night. I am a 14 year old, didn't have any food at home and my parents weren't at home. I was with my grandparents, and I was relying on this app to give is food. I live in Churton Park and for some reason only at 7 PM, I have only 7 Indian restaurants on my screen. Nothing else. Why? I knew McDonalds had Uber Eats, I would buy McDonalds but even when I searches it up, nothing came up and it said it didn't recognise 'McDonalds.' My family weren't at ALL interested in Indian cuisine and we will refuse to have it. Call me picky or whatever, but this app threw my family in a state of extreme hunger and anger. Uber Eats is by far the WORST of any of the food delivery servicesI have tried all the top food delivery services available in the Vancouver area, multiple times each. To understand more about each service in terms of: Pricing, Variety of Restaurants, Quality of Service (delivery speed, accurate order). Uber Eats is so far below any of its competitors. I’m not biased or being harsh, but I’ve been using Uber Eats for 5 months because of a promotion with CIBC. So my feedback is based on many 30+ over multiple months. The orders are consistently delivered at the “max delivery time”, 2X+ what they list as the delivery time. ~1 of 5 orders is partially wrong or completely missing items. After spending 30min-2 hrs going back and forth with their Customer Service, you’ll get reimbursed for the missing items. And maybe a $5 credit towards a future order. But the time you spent and the fact that a key part of your meal wasn’t delivered - $5 doesn’t reflect the time you had to spend, the impact to your meal (especially when hosting) and the overall frustration. AND Uber Eats fess that they tack are much higher than their competitors. Do yourself a favour, don’t get tempted by an Uber Eats promotion and stick with one of the other food delivery services. Very disappointing customer serviceHave had an issue with an order which comprised 4 items and cost around £23... turned out one of the items was cancelled (worth £3.5) by the provider. When the remaining 3 items were delivered, I received an e-mail telling me that my bill for this order amounted to £24.5 which did not make sense in any way. It turns out I was charged a small order fee of £5 while it wasn’t my fault if one item was not available. Tried contacting UberEats to ask for a refund on the small order fee, and not one person was helpful in this situation. I have just now been told that this claim is considered closed with no refund for me. I find it really disappointing that I have to bear responsibility for a situation which I haven’t chosen. It is also very disappointing to not have any phone number on which you can resolve these kinds of issues a lot quicker rather than through e-mails where the answers are generic and being repeated a few times. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone to use UberEats given that they rip you off whenever they can and their customer service is just the worst. Bad service to contact in emergencyAbsolutely ridiculous app. I ordered for the first time though had the app installed since ages and manually typed in the address that I wanted my food to be delivered and checked out. But only after checkout I could see that the delivery address was different to that I entered and was set up automatically from the time I had downloaded the app. As soon as I noticed I tried to cancel the order but I could do nothing. I was in hotel quarantine and wanted to eat something as I could not eat food I got delivered from hotel. I called the shop but they could do nothing. I tried to have chat via app but replied the msg bit late. Waited until the delivery was picked up and Called the delivery person but he could not help. I had no friend to be able to pick the food from the delivery address as all my friends were pretty far from that area. The food was delivered to that default address and got waste. The delivery guy could not help as he was new and was unaware what he can do. So he left the food in that address and I and my sister could not get that meal. Worse Automated Customer ServiceI live in an apartment complex, so I leave detailed instructions so I can meet the driver. I don’t even expect the driver to deliver to me but I’ve had drivers that have had success coming to my door. I order often not just at my apartment complex but I use to order food for my team at work and have only had TWO of the times that the driver leaves the food at another complex. Both times I didn’t message the driver because I was caught up in something and noticed they delivered and when I went outside it wasn’t there so after contacting support they told me they understand how frustrating but they cannot refund. The second time I called the driver and she told me that she was upset about how my complex is designed and had to walk up and down (never called or texted me) until she found my complex. I told her she didn’t deliver it to my door and if she could meet me so I can get the food from her. She was upset and I couldn’t understand fully so I hung up to message customer service and then they gave me the same message of “that’s frustrating, we can’t do anything about it” the first order was only like $25-30 so I let it go but the last order was over $100 incl. tip so I ended up reaching out to my credit card company. UselessThe whole app sits on a pretty awful and annoying business model, which simply makes the app a source of frustration. Ordering from the app the last few of times has been a real test of patience. You order your food, the restaurant starts to make it, a “delivery partner” selects to make your delivery. Half an hour into the food being prepared you can see the driver on the map, miles away from the food establishment, doing who knows what. One time I ordered I could see the driver actually going in the complete opposite direction, when I messaged asking if they’re picking up the food the guy dropped off, and another driver then had to be found. A couple of days ago I ordered some pizzas, and it took over 1.5 hours for them to be delivered; it was 4th time lucky with the delivery driver as 2 had to be turned away because their boxes were not big enough for the delivery (called the restaurant after over an hour of waiting to find out what’s going on). 3 one appeared on the map and then dropped off again. The food turned up cold and after we had to make different lunch arrangements due to wait time. There is nowhere on the app to give feedback about the actual concept and the fact that the process is sloppy; probably having something to do with Uber Eats making the drivers double up on deliveries or something like that. They’ll make you chose the shop etc, then once you’ve wasted ages choosing your items and doing each individual stupid “no replacement” option because for whatever ridiculous reason, it doesn’t just do that automatically once you’ve chosen it for one item, you get to the checkout and realise you’re magically ineligible for the promo they’ve been spamming your notifications with for weeks! The 50% off first grocery order with selected stores springs to mind. Why show me “eligible” shops if they aren’t eligible, even when I haven’t ordered from them before? Screw this app, it’s useless fake promos, it’s next to pointless premium subscription option (you barely save anything) and all the other crap fees they latch on at the end, everything already at a premium price on here anyway. Any of the other delivery apps are better purely by virtue of not sending false promos every hour of every day, and all over the apps home screen. Never used to be this insufferable, customer base clearly realises the other apps have a superior service. Even had a push notification come through for another app im allegedly eligible for while writing this, despite it being worthless and pointless as I have the incredibly disappointing trial of their premium subscription service..Version: 6.135.10001

Useless driverI had ordered McDonald’s and the restaurant wasn’t far away at all, but my friend and I wanted to order some (call us lazy but we honestly couldn’t be bothered walking). Driver went to the wrong street that we CLEARLY weren’t at as we were down a long driveway with multiple houses. He called me, I told him the correct address and he didn’t come. Then was told by the app that if I didn’t get it in 5 minutes I would be charged despite it being the drivers fault. I messaged him MULTIPLE times where the street was and that he was on the wrong one, but he kept sending back an automatic reply of “okay, got it!” While his location showed that he hadn’t left the wrong street yet. He finally got to us and apologised, but the food was cold because he presumed that we could walk to where he was but that was a near 7 minute walk away..Version: 6.72.10004

Shocking serviceAvoid at all costs! As soon as you have a problem with your order prepare to have a looooong fight with their customer service just to prove your point. And most probably at the end they will threaten you to close the conversation… I had a problem with receiving somebody’s else order and asked for a full refund. First they refunded me some random amount, then when I asked again for a full refund, they charged me instead of refunding. I contacted them yet again, just to be told some template about bank standard processing times, which were not even relevant, as the amounts were different. Then I had to prove that I haven’t received any refund by sending them my bank statement for the whole month… and even after that they yet again refunded me partly. When I finally told them that the service was unprofessional and their maths simply didn’t work asking to raise the complaint to their management, they threatened me to close the conversation. Ridiculous and so unprofessional, if somebody bothered to read all of conversations in regards to that order it would have been resolved quicker! But their system of closing the conversations from their side is awful, every time they want to get rid of you they close the conversation, so you can’t reply back and have to create a new one….Version: 6.135.10001

Sugar power snack instead of original mini snackI have ordered San Churro snack pack through Uber eat yesterday. I have ordered this original snack many times wether via UberEat or at the shop. The order yesterday was tasting disgusting. And was contains different extra ingredient not part of the Original recipe and order which is ( Sugar Powder). The original snack has( Mini churros, Spanish chocolate ( I picked milk chocolate), strawberries and banana) this time the box was full and covered by sugar powder. The sugar powder was the main ingredient. I have pictures and i still have the order and if you tested you will see why I’m too upset and why it’s not good to be eaten. Full refund is required and a chat with the brunch about the quality of the service and the knowledge of their staff required too. Seriously its horrible taste and order. I don’t appreciate the staff at this brunch and if I didn’t received my full refund I’m planning to go there to return the Original snack or the sugar powder snack pack unfortunately and asked for full refund. Won’t order from this brunch via uber again as the brunch and staff can be trusted to prepare the exact order and provide a quality order and food..Version: 1.160.10001
