✓ Needs updateRbi 15 had far better graphics. On this the graphics make it hard to tail the ball and it seems like the cup always goes for dives making it impossible to get to second base on a hit. Needs to be updated. How can your old game be better than this one.Version: 1.04
✓ Absolute TrashThe title says it all. First of all, the game is buggy as hell. I can't count how many bugs their are in this game. The biggest ones are when the ball is hit 15 feet above a fielder's head while the fielder is mid air (attempting to Jump and catch it) and the fielder seems to always grab it and that's only for the CPU's defense. Next is when I exit the game and come back to it later, a lot of times I come back and the base runners are removed as if they weren't skipped in the line-up (the stats show they got on base) if they were on base before I exited the game (for the player but not the CPU). Sometimes the batter will automatically be struck-out even if it should be called a ball or the batter fouls a ball. 10 minutes before writing this review I was playing this game and it was the bottom of the 9th and I had 2 outs with an 0-2 count. The game freezes up and I'm assuming because it can't handle that I would throw a no hitter (which btw is virtually impossible in this game) if the last batter doesn't get on base. I want a full refund. This game is complete garbage. The mechanics are crappy, and graphics are awful, and like I said before the game is off the wazoo with glitches. It's not worth the "$4.99". If you see a review above 3 stars, it's a rigged review (paying people to rate it well or making fake reviews themselves)..Version: 1.04
✓ Fun when it worked,I'm on an iPad Air 2, and I used to be able to play with the game freezing maybe 40% of the times I played. Now it is completely broken. Even after reinstalling it, as soon as I load into a game, it crashes to iOS menu page. Amazingly fun game, and huge improvement, but why would I give this app any more than 1 star when it's unplayable? Ridiculous..Version: 1.02
✓ Mystery Orioles graphicI was about to win the World Series. It was the bottom of the seventh and I was winning 2-1. The inning starts and there is a players who has his arms out (like how they design players) wearing a orange shirt and white pants (like an orioles player). The face was messed up. The was black hair and the rest was just pixels that were king of orange and tan. It kind of looked like it was wearing a tiger mask. When I exit the game and press continue the thing is still there and standing on home plate. Then, I abandon the game and start a new one. Again, I was winning 2-1 and at the exact same time it appeared. I CANNOT PLAY THIS GAME! I DESERVE A REFUND! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE! I PAYED FOR THE GAME AND IT CRASHES! Whoever designed this game has the head of a worm. When I bought this game, my expectation was that it would work and that I would enjoy it. ✓ Way too hard for casual playersI have not had any problems with the game in terms of crashing, bugs, ect. However, if you are a casual player, this is not the game for you. The hitting is way too hard, even on easy, for most people. Unless you really want to spend tons of time learning how to hit in this game, do not waste your money. ✓ Still some issuesI have been waiting for fixes that have not yet shown up. At times the game is jerky, it will freeze and there are jumps in the video. But I still enjoy playing..Version: 1.04
✓ DisappointedI'm very disappointed in this game. They have designed it to force you to use cut off men. This is fine sometimes, but when the cut off men are constantly in the wrong places or they are standing by home plate to cut off a throw from home and it allows a run, it is very frustrating. I like that it's more difficult to hit, but they have made throwing irritating. It seems like the people who designed the cut off algorithm and the placement of the players have never played baseball. It's very disappointing. If I want to throw to a cutoff man, I should be able to choose to. If I want to bypass the cutoff man I should be able to choose that too. I am playing the the game, not the computer..Version: 1.01
✓ Junk gameCan't stand playing this. No sound. Opposing pitchers throw you a lot of dirt balls that you can't distinguish until it bounces off the ground. Hitting is next to impossible. I especially hate those junk pitches (i.e. Dirt balls) that obviously a player would not swing at but because you can't distinguish them then you sucker for them. No real baseball game would be so full of dirt ball pitches. What a waste of money.Version: 1.01
✓ Nearly unplayable*Updated* A new bug has appeared, while old ones have not been addressed. Now, when choosing a spot starter in season mode, the game inserts the team's #1 starter instead of the selected pitcher. This causes a number of problems in season mode and highlights the lack of attention to detail by the developers of the game. I am extremely disappointed with the game and multiple attempts to contact the developers has yielded no communication. --- Despite having standard fielding controls set, the game selects fielders, often the wrong fielder, and then does not accept manual fielder changes. While computer relay men are perfectly positioned, while my team's relay men are often missing or poorly positioned. The game seems to have been programmed by someone who has never watched baseball let alone understands baseball. After two good years of games, the 2016 version of RBI is severely disappointing and I regret my purchase..Version: 1.04
✓ RBI - SubparGame needs difficulty sliders. Every neg comment revolves around Easy being ridiculously easy and medium becoming ridiculously hard the oppo way. As a former developer I can not believe there are no sliders to customize play to the users abilitie and desires. CPU vs User sliders would change this from a disappointment to a great game. By simply allowing users to change the pitch speed and fielder speed would do wonders. Also eliminate the in air controls they destroy the realism of the graphics and overall play. ✓ Too many glitchesSeveral times I've had one out and on the second out the inning ends if you have two or three baserunners you can't control only one if I want the guy on third to run home all the base runners leave and you end up getting thrown out you can't control multiple runners. A pitch which was a ball on one pro throws the exact same pitch and it's a strike too many flaws in this game you pay for something you expect it to be much smoother and much better this one is not it's very very frustrating also last update was may 2016 I think the developers have given up on this one.Version: 1.04

✓ Decently okayEarlier I wrote a bad review about this game... What I said stands true, HOWEVER I went on settings and turned cpu difficulty on easy and it made it a little bit better. Added with a roster update all my favorite players are in and the game is a little better. I can't help the graphics but those few adjustments gives it 3 stars. ✓ DisappointingAt first it seemed as though this game had great potential, and it does. However, it falls short on delivering a truly accurate experience. The gameplay itself needs work. Base-running resembles something akin to MLB baseball on the NES. It's next to impossible to throw out a runner from the outfield, yet the AI seems to have no problem throwing me out. Level settings are even more puzzling. Somehow on "easy" I can blow out a team by 10, 12, 15 runs or more yet when increased to "medium" I will win, optimistically, 6 games per season. Hitting, particularly in any game setting more difficult than "easy", is damn near impossible. I'd recommend that you swing at every pitch because you don't actually have time to react to the true pitch locations. More dynamic roster updates would also make for a more realistic experience. If you're looking for the best MLB game, this isn't it (try MLB PI16) However, If you don't mind spending a couple bucks for a game that you will enjoy for an couple days (and then grow tired of), give it a shot. I feel as though I've exhausted all of the enjoyment I'm going to get from this one..Version: 1.04
✓ Pretty good overall, but not greatThis game is decent. I agree with a lot of the comments here about the glitchiness of the graphics, and general bugs. The batting definitely feels more random than it used to in '15 though. You swing and hold the "joystick" down, and it still gives you a popup. In fact, there are way too many pop ups in general. Still a fun baseball game to play, without the weird marketplace aspect of Perfect Inning, but it would definitely benefit from a Y-axis for the strike zone, and not so much dependence on having to move the batter around in the box to hit various pitches..Version: 1.04
✓ Don't waste your moneyAlthough this game has some potential, the people who made it are an insult to baseball. The base running is horrid, and resembles games we played in the early 80's control wise. Runners will just continue running especially with multiple guys on base. There is no help menu or practice screen where you can try and polish up your skills or take BP. Possibly the worst trait of this quickly thrown together nightmare of a baseball game, is the starting pitching. I've pitched no-hitters through 4 innings and my pitcher is completely EXHAUSTED...cannot throw over 60 mph LOL! Soooo stupid, none of my pitchers can get into the 6th inning without throwing 50mph beach balls haha. For $6.99 this game is laughable, it's almost like they inserted blatantly stupid things just to annoy those of us who bought it. Shitty that MLB endorsed such an un-realistic bag of s*^t like this. Let's face it MLB, most starting pitchers these days can throw 5 innings...my "ace" can't get out of the 4th even though he's not allowed a run lol! I've always been a huge supporter of MLB but after buying this game they endorsed, I feel they owe me $6.99. In turn I will now be purchasing all my MLB clothing unlicensed, something I never thought I'd say - but screw it, they don't care...why should I?.Version: 1.04

✓ Not as good as 2016, but pretty goodLoved RBI 2016, and had hoped for an improved 2017--but that's not really the case. Issues with screen brightness/resolution, for example. ✓ The hitting sucksThis game has great graphics, up to date rosters, and great detail for the ballparks. What kills it is the batting. The friggin computer throws 95% balls, if you do hit a pitch, most of the time it goes foul or the computer catches it. Sucks the fun right out of it for me. ✓ A big step backwardsLast years version of RBI Baseball 2015 was much better than this version. The frame rate I'm getting on this iPhone 6s is terrible, last years was perfect in this regard. It's like playing a modern game on an old computer, so hard to keep track of the ball when it disappears as it's hurtling towards you at 90mph. Same problem with defense, where the heck is that ball going? The worst thing about this game though is the ridiculous "drop ball", a practically impossible pitch to hit that is used far too frequently by the computer to the point that it spoils the enjoyment of the game. The colour scheme is a bit better and the larger text in the game interface are improvements, but overall a disappointing experience..Version: 1.04
✓ Utter frustrationAs someone who loved (and was very adept at) the 2014 and 2015 versions, I am profoundly disappointed in the 2016 iteration. Getting hits in both the medium and hard settings is nearly impossible. The fielders' theatrics and the off-speed pitches defy the laws of physics. Perennial all-stars are batting in the .100s, while every pitcher on my staff has a sub 1 ERA and WHIP--literally every single one. I have played at least 10 games that went 18+ innings; a half dozen went more than 25. I played the hardest setting last year, and the results were much more realistic. ✓ Fun game but '15 playing experience was better.I've played all three iOS versions of this game now and '15 is definitely the better of them in terms of ball visibility when hitting and smoothness of the animation. In '16 the ball from the pitchers hand to the plate is tough to see. I think it has something to do with the lighter shade of green of the infield grass. '16 also has some jerky motion to it. Perhaps it's just too much for my iPad Air 2 with 75% storage capacity remaining to handle..Version: 1.04

✓ Some bugs...The game is pretty good, but there are a few bugs that kinda ruin the game. One of the biggest ones is when you have a guy on second base and your batter hits the ball deep, your second base runner has the opportunity to make it all the way home. The only issue is that if the CPUs throw to second, the runner who is currently on their way to home plate, is out... This is really annoying and needs to be fixed..Version: 1.03
✓ Currently Regret BuyingDon't get me wrong. RBI Baseball is still the best series of baseball games for mobile, in my opinion. But it wasn't worth my $8 to upgrade from 2015 because the frame rate is just not smooth enough to play with. I'm using an iPad Air 2, which should have no trouble with a pretty simple game like this, but it stutters like crazy. 2015 was nice and smooth, and the graphics weren't noticeably inferior. Also, 'easy' seems much more difficult than 2015, so maybe a greater disparity between difficulty levels would be good. ✓ Where to begin?1) if you pause between innings (i.e. Leave game and go to home screen) the game freezes when you re-open. 2) hitting is much too difficult for an arcade-style game. 3) I know diddly about app technology, but I feel like any sort of of online play and/or connectivity is par for the course for today's apps. Naturally RBI offers no such feature, with the exception of the occasional roster update. 4) on top of the above I actually PAID for this game It would seem that the developers put all their eggs in the ps/xbox/pc basket. ✓ Incompetent/lazy developersUpdate: After waiting months for a fix, I have decided to delete the game. None of the major bugs have been addressed nor has the glitchy gameplay. These devs are either done working on this game or incompetent. Not only am I deleting this game, but I refuse to buy another RBI game. A frame rate update would be much appreciated. Latest update, once again, does nothing to address the biggest issue. The baseball looks like a strobe light coming from the pitcher's hand. If the gameplay was fluid like it was in RBI 15, this game would be 5 stars. In addition to the strobe lights, why does the file size have to be so big?? Almost 3 gbs?.Version: 1.04
