Please Incorporate More Dark Sky FeaturesThere are many areas where this app falls far below DarkSky. Weather maps (precipitation in particular) are cartoonish and non-useful. DarkSky precip maps gave a fairly precise view of where it would rain and a longer view of where the rain has already occurred (3hr view of historical radar vs only an hour of forward radar forecast)-making it possible to see storm development. A forward radar hypothetical is significantly less useful than the map showing what has happened. In addition to the data in the maps, the maps in this app always look like they haven’t loaded fully - blurry and glitchy. Wind speeds and gust data are no longer available hour to hour and it seems like all of the widgets besides temperature lack the ability to look at an hour by hour forecast. Similarly, the precipitation rate should be viewable on an hour by hour basis. An 80% chance of rain at a rate of 0.02”/hr is way different than a harder rain. This is easy to find and use on Dark Sky and doesn’t appear to be available in the weather app. If Dark Sky is going “dark” in less than two months, please bring over more of its valuable features..Version: 1.8

An inferior Dark SkyAs a dark sky user I understood why apple bought it. Dark Sky is a fantastic app. Now they’ve integrated its data into the apple weather app, the original app is going to close down. Having compared both I wish it wasn’t. This app looks glossier but the information is much less clear and detailed. It says it’ll rain tomorrow but no indication of when and how long. The use of symbols in the hourly breakdown may look nice but is much less clear than the dark sky app, which uses shades of gray for cloud cover and blue for rain. It’s currently displaying wind symbols all day so there is no way of seeing how cloud cover will change throughout the day. At every turn information is less clear or missing altogether. Weirdly even though this app is supposedly using dark skies data it’s often different when comparing the apps and more often incorrect. I’m gutted to lose a fantastic weather app so the apple can improve a still inferior alternative. I wish they’d left dark skies alone..Version: 1.8

Weather unavailable messageAll weather of locations is unavailable! Useless app!.Version: 1.8

Gets worse every updateHourly went from being accurate every 5 minutes to in this latest update being bipolar about the rain in the next five minutes. Everytime it said it won’t rain it has, and everytime it said it would, it wasn’t. If you don’t know the weather, don’t update the hourly section like you do, it screws up peoples schedules. Apple literally prides itself on perfection but is so unaware of all it’s small issues due to being so self absorbed..Version: 1.6

It’s not there …yet.Is the Weather app getting better? Yes. Has it completely integrated Dark Sky functionality…yet? No. I have six different apps for weather on my phone, each of which serves a different purpose. DS was never accurate with wind and rain projections (or current weather), especially during the monsoon. I mainly used it to monitor dew point. Telling me that there was a 12% chance of rain sounds super precise unless it’s pouring outside. I did like playing with the history. Hopefully, that will be added at some point. To be honest, despite all of the hoo ha about weather apps, the most accurate is from a local television station. The KOLD app in Tucson is amazing. Just after broadcasts the meteorologist gives a video update. The severe weather warnings are immediate. They provide everything you’d have to pay for on other apps for free. So, my suggestion would be to select apps for the specific information you’d like to glean (without paying anything) but make one of your local affiliates your go to app for the weather. Most especially if there’s a chance of anything severe. Or, stick your arm out of your window to check the sky and your comfort level. That’s often the best method of all..Version: 1.8

DS’s Time Machine still missing, & as of 2/23, no scroll-down to any cloud-cover readingNovember 2022: in taking over Dark Sky, Apple claims that all of DS’s functions are being incorporated into its own app. One of Dark Sky’s features is Time Machine, able to show detailed weather conditions as far back as the 1930s or 40s, depending on location. This most likely from public info in the National Weather Service database. So far I see no past-weather option on Apple’s weather app. The only other app in the store offering as complete a weather-history search is WX, which throws two pages of full-screen ads at you with each day-search, and doesn’t even bother to offer a paid version to avoid this. If Apple really wants to bring the full functionality of Dark Sky into its weather app, it needs to include the Time Machine feature that Dark Sky still offers by default. Feb 2023: the Apple weather app also did not incorporate the DS cloud-cover reading. Visibility, which Weather does have, is fairly useless except maybe to pilots, who I doubt use their iPhones to navigate! All in all, Apple Weather is fancier & denser than Dark Skies was but less user friendly, less “at a glance” less easily readable.Version: 1.8

Only temperature is accurateThis app use to be so accurate but recently over the last few months it hasn’t provided accurate precipitation..Version: 1.9

Apples Weather appThis weather app is quite accurate the thing that annoys me is the red sunshine I do prefer yellow I thought for a start it was red for sunrise or sunset but oh no but is just a odd I just can’t look at it anymore.Version: 1.8

Untrustworthy weatherThe weather said it won’t snow today but it snowed today.Version: 1.9

Inaccurate dataTemps always show 2-5 degrees centigrade lower and for the last few weeks according to this app it’s raining when it’s been clear sky’s for days. Sometimes the weather app even shows clear sunny sky’s and the widgets show rain. It also hasn’t shown any rain at night, only during the day..Version: 1.9

So much harder to use than dark skyDark Sky was not the most visually stunning app, but it did what was important: convey the information a user needs in an easy to understand format. Apple have tried too hard to design this to be aesthetically pleasing rather than solve an actual need. Graphs are harder to understand. Other information is in a hard to notice drop-down that just uses an icon and no words. The radar took me ages to find for the same reason. So much text is really low contrast and hard to read. Everything just feels harder to scan or find. I’m sure once I can no longer use dark sky I’ll get used to it out of necessity but there is so much room for improvement..Version: 1.8

Good app, but inaccurateI use this app all the time, and it’s good, but the thing is, most of the time it shows a HIGH percentage of chance of rain, but it never does! For example, I’ve even seen MANY times that it showed 100% chance of rain, and guess what, IT DIDN’T RAIN A SINGLE DROP. AT ALL. So just don’t get my hopes up by putting 100% chance of rain in the forecast, if it’s not gonna be accurate! Also with 90% and so on. Other than that, great app..Version: 1.6

IOS 15 redesign is beautifulThe animation has never looked better, which is also perhaps the reason my iPhone SE 2 gets super hot the second I open the app. For the My Location weather, I don’t see why the name of the suburb should be smaller and sit at the bottom row. It has been like this for years and should be reverted.Version: 1.6

The data is incorrectThe weather app interface and feature is good, however the most important part - the data is so inaccurate. Compare to all other weather app, or previous ios 15, it is always 2 or 3 degree different. It is very annoying. Please fix..Version: 1.9

Dark Sky Mourning. 2.3 rating? Apple is deafHow cynical of Apple to buy Dark Sky, and then bin it. Sometimes there are things that cannot be improved, simply because they work so well. Any changes, are then made for change sake. With DS, at a glance, I could see the weather radar map, rain situation and hourly forecast. The warning notification of rain were almost 100% accurate. Apple’s Weather App is much harder see this information. I have to scroll around and tap boxes to get an overall picture of the next few hours weather, that I could see at a glance on DS. Further more, if you want to add a nearby town and the Weather app thinks it’s too near, it won’t allow you to store it as a favourite. Why do I want one nearby? Because it’s close to a very hilly area, and can have a mini climate of his own, different to my town just 10 miles away. With Dark Sky, this was no problem. RIP Dark Sky.Version: 1.8

Used to be great app but now is useless….This app comes with IPhone pre installed and was useful but now is useless as it can’t tell me if there is any kind of weather beyond temperature. Even when it’s snowing outside or raining can’t tell me as it raining let alone before. This has been a recent problem in last 6 months or so , have no idea why it went from good to absolute garbage but that’s wheee it’s at ..Version: 1.9

Still inferior to Dark Sky in every conceivable waySo all the hoopla over Apple acquiring Dark Sky was apparently just another move by Apple to eliminate a competing service. Apple Weather is a complete trainwreck of app design. While Apple Weather is (marginally) better now than before the Dark Sky acquisition, Dark Sky app is still light years ahead. Where is the hourly precipitation forecast? Where is the “Precipitation in XXX minutes”? Where is the hourly “Feels like” temperature forecast? All of these are part of why Dark Sky stood out from the crowd. Apple Weather takes just a fraction of Dark Sky’s data and presents it in a dumbed-down manner. Every square tile in Apple Weather focuses on the current time, but I also want to know what lies ahead. Even forecast data between Apple Weather and Dark Sky are not the same. For example, Apple Weather says tomorrow’s chance of rain is 100% while Dark Sky says 87% (not a huge difference, but you’d expect both apps to have the same forecast data, right?). Considering Apple’s focus on consistency and a “premium” experience, Apple Weather is shamefully disappointing in both respects. Too bad Dark Sky app will no longer function after 2022. I would gladly pay money to retain access to the Dark Sky API apart from Apple Weather..Version: 1.8

AccuracyThe weather is never accurate. I have to check other sources and this app never aligns with them. It shows different weather forecasts for different people standing beside each other looking at the same thing. It could be raining and thunder storming and the app shows that it is sunny the entire day. Not accurate at all..Version: 1.8

Ridiculously wrongIt’d literally be pour raining outside and the app will say it’s dry and sunny.Version: 1.8

Useless for rain/snowApp shows “cloudy” with zero precipitation when its pouring rain. Same for snow. Absolutely useless and never gets precipitation correct at all..Version: 1.9

Fine-I use it every day -‘Precipitation 12 hour forecast’ is a great way to visualise what to expect. It would be more helpful if you could slow down the speed to see clearly each hour. - ‘Next hour precipitation forecast’ NEVER works please fix - Lots of interesting information regarding wind, pressure, UV etc -Weather itself is constantly changing and therefore is impossible to predict with 100% accuracy so - no it’s not always exact- but it’s a close indication of what to expect most of the time. The app also updates often with any changes..Version: 1.9

Killed the weather appsDark Sky used to be this brilliant weather app that you paid £3 for. (In Uk obviously) I don't know about many other people's experience cos not many people i knew used it. But for me, It was brilliant. It could tell you when it would rain down to "in 1 minute" and then it started on the spot. Vice versa for "rain will stop in 1 minute". It had an interactive map that you could read back to the previous day's weather. Nearly anywhere in the UK, Canada and US. Had incredibly accurate forecasts a WEEK before. Then apple decided "its too good for the peasants, we'll take it and cheapen it" So they integrated it with Apple Weather, promising excellent weather data.. and it copies the same layout. to a degree. That's all. Reality is It's inaccurate, sometimes widely. Doesn't offer many of the details and information we were able to see on Dark Sky app. And I lost my £3 for no reason..Version: 1.8

Not updating to current conditionsUsed to be quite good, but last Lyle while doesn’t update to current weather conditions, way off!.Version: 1.8

Wrong conditionsIts been a year now, I think no one is paying attention to the app. App shows sunny when it’s thunderstorm. Cloudy when its sunny….Version: 1.8

Terrible AppGot told the weather was a lot warmer than what is was, but holly confirmed that her senses were saying it was -4 degrees not 20 degrees, please fix your app! Don’t want to see this happen again!.Version: 1.8

Incorrect time labels for each days informationNo wonder this app is inaccurate. I’m always cursing the thing, wondering why it’s (for example) raining when the app said it’s should be ‘clear’. I just found out why. So, when I click on the day I’d like to see the weather for, the chart opens up. All good. But when I start gliding over the chart to see each hours information (temp, rainfall etc) there is a discrepancy between the lower ‘time’ figure and what time is being stated at the top the chart. E.g the bottom says ‘6am’ and the top says ‘7-8am’. So thats a pretty big issue for a weather app to have - when it’s supposed to be accurate; it’s at least an hour wrong all the time..Version: 1.9

Forecasts are as accurate as a stopped clockI continue to lament the passing of good old Dark Skies, which was better in almost every way than Weather. The worst part is that Weather is so often, completely, blatantly, unapologetically wrong. It can be pouring down rain outside, and Weather tells me that it’s snowing. Or the precipitation forecast tells me that there’s going to be < 0.05 inches of snow, and on the same screen it tells me that from 9 to 10 there will be 1 inch of snow, and from 10 to 11 there will be 1.5 inches of snow. and on the same screen again, it tells me there will be 0.5 inches of snow for the day. Um…? When Weather first pushed out Dark Skies a few years ago, I figured “oh well, they’ll get it straightened out soon, this kind of embarrassing performance won’t be allowed to persist“. How wrong I was! The lights are on, but apparently no one‘s home. Often enough, Weather refuses to load national weather service advisories, too. At least I can turn to good old WTForecast for those. Kind of ironic that it’s more professionally developed and maintained, given its signature trick is cussing about the weather. The only reason I gave Weather two stars instead of one, is that sometimes it does return an accurate forecast. Sometimes a stopped clock is right, too..Version: 1.9

AQI inaccurateFirst of all, no complaints about the actual weather information. However, the AQI information rarely matches that of the Government of Canada’s or IQAir. There’s been massive forest fires not far from where I live and the skies have been noticeably yellow — no way this app is telling me that the air quality is only a low risk 2..Version: 1.8

It’s ok if it was usefulThe issue I have is the unreliable readings it gives you , the weather app changes it’s status day to day , I mean you can see what the week holds in store to plan as each day is different to what the app says for that , until you check on it on that day and you will find it has updated to suit the day but comes way too late , to put it bluntly it’s like they look out the window of that day and day “ ops better change it “.Version: 1.8

Not updatedIt shows cloudy but snow is gusting oh man you do better.Version: 1.9

Not a clueCurrently raining, has been for 6 hours, But app says no precipitation in the last 24 hours or forecasted today….Version: 1.8

The new app (iOS 15)The new UI is a step back. For example, the font color for minimal daily temperature is too dark and text is more difficult to make out, especially in a dark environment. Also, now I have to scroll down a few times to see the “feels like” value, which is the next most important parameter after actual temperature..Version: 1.6

Hopeless appThis app is never right.Version: 1.9

Used to be ok but now it says it is raining CONSTANTLYThis app used to be great but now every time I check it it says the correct temperature but shows the current conditions as raining. Every day. It hasn’t rained here in over a week - the sky has been perfectly blue. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling but it still shows the same thing and there doesn’t seem to be a way to contact App support..Version: 1.9

RIP Dark Skies appWhy did you take the best weather app that was literally like the Waze for weather (Dark Skies) with a huge loyal following of local weather reporters, buy them out, and supposedly “integrate their functionality and features” (this definitely didn’t happen) into the apple weather CR-app. The real-time Timelapse radar is a joke, and only shows on one small corner of the screen. It also doesn’t adapt to zooming in/out on locations. Darks skies excelled by having a loyal following of local weather reporters making their forecasts extremely accurate and almost to the minute on rain start/stop, etc. Now the apple weather app doesn’t have an easily accessible floating “report weather footer button” but rather is more hidden behind a button that makes it seem like your leaving a suggestion/feedback for the app rather than reporting local weather. Bravo you bought the best technology and have utilized none of it. It’s a hired assassination of our beloved dark skies. Shameful waste of money to shelve such great technology. And the weather Time Machine, a massive amount of historical weather data that was so cool to go through just gone up in smoke poof. Again shameful smh. Do better apple, tisk tisk..Version: 1.8

Carte radar ne fonctionne plus.Application super mais la carte radar ne fonctionne jamais. Svp arranger cela!.Version: 1.9

“Feels Like” valuesThe most important value is the “Feels Like” value, and there’s no option to display this on the widget. It’s also buried at the bottom of the actual app when you’re in there..Version: 1.6

WeatherI have just updated my phone… and the apple weather app does not show the accurate times for each of the countries that I check regularly.Version: 1.6

Extremely inaccurate.Always wrong, says it will rain when it’s totally sunny and no rain for days. Going to stop using it as totally pointless and I could make a better weather prediction by pulling it out of a hat..Version: 1.6

UpdateNever the right weather.Version: 1.9

Rubbish!I loved Dark Skies and could hang my washing out and get it in as the rain prediction was spot on to the minute but now Apple bought the app and have ruined it. Weekly prediction completely wrong and at times the total opposite of what is actually happening with the weather. One day stated cloudy and overcast but no rain, I hung my washing out looking at the dark clouds inching closer to me but the determination of ‘if the weather app says no rain then it will not rain’. I could hear my neighbours tittering behind their curtains that I was hanging my washing out when it was getting greyer and greyer. Determined to prove them wrong and the weather app right hung a second wash out. Though whilst pegging my husband’s boxer shorts on the line and smelling the beautiful whiff of fabric conditioner, felt a spot of water on my arm, NNNOOOOOOO it could not be raining as the weather app said no rain. 5 seconds later, I was hopping and jumping around my garden like a woman possessed ripping clothes off my washing line and trying to get inside as the hail and heavy rain lashed down on me. So clothes in the dryer, more electricity used, bigger energy bills and it’s July 2023! So Apple, go back to the developers of Dark Skies and pay them to overhaul the app back to how it was and let them take control of it once again!.Version: 1.8

Umm?This app can be total lies 😂 looking at the app it’s suppose to be “raining” where I am but it’s super sunny outside and no cloud in the sky. Beautiful day of sunshine with absolutely NO rain whatsoever. Not even a rain cloud. Lol.Version: 1.6

No Dark Sky replacementWhy buy Dark Sky and then not integrate the brilliant features of that app? For me the single most useful feature of Dark Sky was the hyper-local short term forecast “light rain in 20 minutes” with a radar map. Now we get “no rain in the last 24 hours and no rain predicted in the next 10 days” utterly useless (and blatantly inaccurate) information. If you are incapable of integrating features from Dark Sky don’t kill off the Dark Sky app! For people who value hyper-local short term forecasts over the apple design language keep Dark Sky running. I fear that Apple are becoming the new Yahoo, buying interesting companies and then killing them off but TOTALLY mis understanding why customers liked the product in the first place..Version: 1.8

Wrong location consistently displays!I used to like this app well enough, though admittedly it certainly wasn’t my only weather app, or even my ‘go-to’ weather app necessarily. Any satisfaction I had with the app changed once I upgraded & I bought my 5th generation iPad Air (in December 2023) and found that the app displays a fairly prominent information box on my iPad’s desktop — however it consistently insists on displaying the wrong location on my desktop (not my current location for weather). No matter how many times I have set the app to display my current location, it annoyingly insists on only displaying New York on my desktop instead! — (New York is one of several of the locations I have listed under my weather app, but it is NOT my current location). Even more bizarre is the fact that that the app still continued to display New York as the location on my iPad’s desktop even after I completely deleted New York out of my locations list. Even that still didn’t fix the problem! Just to note, my iOS is currently update, as is this app. I have previously reached out & written feedback to Apple about this problem with no response back and no remedy. PLEASE FIX THIS FRUSTRATING & OBNOXIOUS GLITCH!.Version: 1.8

Always WrongMy husband and I both have this app. Mine is always wrong. His is always accurate. I have no idea why they’d be different..Version: 1.8

Worst App OutI would not recommend using this app at all. It is not accurate at all. Be prepared to get wet when it siri says it doesn’t look like it’s going to rain..Version: 1.8

Delete this AppWas once really good. But for more than 6 months it resets back to default settings twice a week. So you lose all of the personal locations you have added, and instead get reset to the default locations. I’m totally sick of setting up and entering my personal locations twice per week only to have them deleted. This app has become useless. This problem has been talked about on many different chat pages. Nothing seems to have been done. Many people have the same issue. More concerning is the lack of programming skills of the app programmers in not being able to identify a problem and fix it quickly..Version: 1.7

WhyI bought dark sky in July 2016, and it was brilliant… I cannot remember how long it was before they ruined it with a terrible update, but it was no way as good as it was. I still used the app on my devises, but nowhere near as much as I did, and now you are stealing it away from us. I complained about this at the app store, and what happened… the whole thing was removed. I am not allowed to use the app on my ipad air2, yet the widget is the same as it is on my ipad pro, where I am allowed to use the new apple weather app, which has none of the functions that dark sky had. If I worked for apple, and nicked £3.99 from the petty cash tin, (which would probably contain millions,) I would get the sack, but apple seems to be able to nick the money from all of us loyal fans whilst seemingly sticking two fingers up at us..Version: 1.8

Looks great but the weather is inaccurateThe app is pretty. The main purpose of the app doesn’t work. It said it was going to rain all day and it didn’t a week ago. Now, it says it’ll be sunny all day and it’s storming outside. My phone is updated. I went to the real, recommended weather website and it says something totally different that this app. The app is incorrect about temperature, wind, rain, precipitation, everything. Useless. Apple makes nice things but will they work? And to the person only writing a “good review” because people wrote bad reviews and called them grouchy or unhappy the whole review instead of talking about the app. People can have their own experiences. People are not grouchy for storing negative reviews. We downloaded the app to get the ACCURATE weather and it’s not doing that so we’re going to say something about it so they can fix it. The weather shown to me is incorrect. Should I write a 5 star review just because it’s Apple? No. The reason Apple is the way it is today IS because people stand up and speak their mind. Thanks to bad reviews, they might make a change. But writing a review just to talk about other people’s experiences is just as pointless as this app. It doesn’t help anything because it doesn’t tell us anything..Version: 1.8

Apple is so far not meeting the DarkSky standardPlease integrate all of the features of Dark Sky by 1/1/23. Dark Sky is the best weather app available by a wide margin because of its accuracy and level of detail. This isn’t a personal preference from all of the users posting these negative reviews. It’s based on the data. People who spend their time in the outdoors need to know the weather FORECAST, not what’s happening right now. What’s happening right now is useless to us. Moreover, there are essential measurements such as “feels like” temperatures, % precipitation, wind speed and direction, UV, dew point that DarkSky provides hourly and these measurements are essential to staying safe. The ability to use the “time machine” feature and project into the future beyond 10 days and look back on past days is also extremely beneficial in planning expeditions. DarkSky’s data is not only more detailed but it is more accurate. Other apps will predict a high chance of rain during a given period of the day when DarkSky says the chance is actually very small and there ends up being no rain. Please democratize weather information and do not attempt to capitalize/advertise on it. If your developers don’t understand weather than hire people who do and have them communicate. This is upsetting a lot of people. Thank you..Version: 1.8

No Snowfall AmountsIt’s very clear the designers of this app do not have any experience in a cold climate. If they did, they would know snowfall amounts are basically THE most important weather metric for us. All this app indicates is whether it’ll snow, and what percentage chance. So for example, on Monday it has a snowflake icon and 100%… but 100% chance of light snow is very very different from the winter storm that’s coming with an expected 30-40cm. We need to know this! A weather app that is going to be any use in a cold climate needs to have expected snowfall in the daily forecasts, as well as in the hourly ones. Without it, this app is completely unusable..Version: 1.6

App crashesApp keeps crashing when trying to edit the locations list. Cannot get precise location even when selected. This app needs fixing. Especially when its the native weather info for many devices. Please fix Apple.Version: 1.8

Dark Sky killerSo Apple bought the app Dark Sky which is a far superior app for weather forecasts, in particular really great at letting you know when rain will start or stop within the current hour. Thinking nothing of it apart from the opportunity to integrate some of this goodness into their otherwise abysmal weather app. Apple has managed to butcher this opportunity… the Apple weather app has been “enhanced” in iOS 16, but maybe they have a different dictionary when looking up the word enhanced. All they’ve done is kill off competition and not really done anything fundamental about their own app. What’s more infuriating is I paid £6 for Dark sky 6 years ago, one of the better investments for any paid app only for Apple to do what it does best… investor return..Version: 1.8

Not workingHave deleted and reinstalled app and still doesn’t work just a blank blue screen..Version: 1.8

VelvetNot as good as before, can’t show location properly..Version: 1.6

It ain’t no dark skyOh Apple why oh why do you replace things that ain’t broke with crap that isn’t as good as what it’s replaced! I live in UK and we all know that it rains a lot! Dark sky would tell me every time it’s about to rain and as a dog owner and a family who like the outdoors it’s a brilliant piece of kit, I trusted it I knew I had 10 mins to get home. However your new updated Apple weather still has a feel it’s some guy looking out the window in Cupertino and guessing the weather of Bristol, England! The rain warning is sketchy at best it can’t be trusted. I know people don’t like change but people can work with it if it was just better than what it replaced. It isn’t and what’s worse is you owned both apps, please work on it. If it’s using the same service as dark sky did it may just be a tweak out of sync??.Version: 1.8

KuwaitCompletely inaccurate. It was somehow accurate several years ago. It seems that you changed your source of information to inaccurate one..Version: 1.9

STUPID WIDGET!Whenever it rains or snows the Lock Screen widget will switch from showing temperature and conditions to showing a precipitation graph. WHAT DO I CARE HOW LONG ITS GONNA RAIN FOR? I want to know the temperature!!.Version: 1.9

Always wrong about snow and rainThe app is alright for temperature and smoke, but it’s always wrong about the rain and snow, I have three weather apps on my phone (this being one of them) and the other two say that it’s going to rain and this one says that their is nothing but clear skies, any time I’m in the middle of a thunder storm it will still say that there is no rain and it’s perfectly sunny outside and there will be now rain the next day but come the next day more rain and thunder and the weather app still says nothing during the storm, would honestly rate 0 stars if I could, this sucks and your better off using and app like The Weather Network.Version: 1.8

Why has the weather app been so incorrect recently? For DECADES weathermen have accurately predicted weather for the next 5 days on the news. Not down to the time of rain, but at least if it was going to rain or not. But the last couple years this app has failed at predicting what the weather will be just the next day. I planned a kayaking trip on a cloudy day, forecast said no chance of rain until the next day. We get out to the middle of the lake and here thunder and lighting isn’t and immediately begins to downpour. I check the weather on my phone to see if it had changed, and what do you know, it still says it is CURRENTLY partly cloudy with no chance of rain until the next day, no thunderstorms, nothing. This was just the final straw that made me write this review. I have noticed this all summer long, the forecast shows the next day will be 85 and sunny with no chance of rain, and the next day comes and it is cloudy and rains. It feels like I’m looking at the weather for a completely different area (I'm not, I’ve reset my location multiple times). I am not sure what system or company Apple uses to get their weather from, but I think it’s time for a change. For the time being I will hope that other weather apps can acutely predict the weather that is currently happening before my very eyes at least..Version: 1.8

Dark Sky gone AWOLUsed the original Dark Sky for years and it was 99% great 99% of the time. Then Apple bought Dark Sky and made something fuss free, simple and intuitive into something bloated and ridiculously over the top. WHY? Everything I needed to know for the next hour, the day or the week was within a quick scan on a single page or a touch, a swipe and now I’m left with what feels like a deep dive for the most basic of weather info. Dark Sky was verypopular for reasons clear for all to see. Apple: please just drop the pedantic user interface that is clearly annoying most users and bring back what we want. It’s quite obvious what the vast majority of people are requesting..Version: 1.8

Horrible Excuse for a Weather AppI was dismayed when I read that Dark Sky was disappearing, but was reassured when Apple indicated its data would be incorporated into their basic weather app. While some data is incorporated, not everything is and what is presented is so chronically incorrect that it is worthless. As a cyclist who trains early in the morning (5-7 AM), accurate weather is essential to me. This app is simply never correct or accurate. This morning, I was warned about a 30-40% chance of thunderstorms from 5-9 AM, which made me leery of going out. Since this app has been so terrible lately, I checked two other weather apps that I have, which both showed 0% chance of rain. Weather maps had nothing nearby, so I went out and had a great ride, not a drop of rain or a flash of lightning. My wife later this morning had a similar dismal forecast for her golf game. Instead, she played in partly cloudy skies and bright sunshine. While everyone knows that weather prediction will occasionally be wrong, this app is not even close and it is just awful most of the time. Dark Sky was incredibly spot on with predictions, but this app is not. Please fix this app, it is beyond terrible!.Version: 1.8

Difficult to navigateNot easy to get a quick overview of the weather for the day that most people will care about. Is it going to rain? Be cloudy? Sunny? What about the temperature? You better be prepared to navigate multiple sheet presentations and charts to get that information. Additionally, the Home Screen widget only works by using your location, rather than a location specified by you. As the chosen location to pull weather from is many miles from my actual location (of which there is an actual location I can select in the app that is more accurate) the widgets usefulness is limited Looks pretty, but much better alternatives available..Version: 1.8

Make it customizableI need “feels like” on the first page…without scrolling…switched to another app. Sadly..Version: 1.6

If it not broken, then don’t fix it!This app is a great example of buying something (Dark Sky) that worked extremely well, enjoyed by a lot of people and was very useful, then killing the original. I’m a golfer and just need to know if it’s going to rain and how much. I got used the Dark Sky app in the rest of my life on a daily basis. It was quick and simple to make decisions based on the forecast. If you wanted more detail you could dig deeper. This app just took the functionality and data of Dark Sky and it throw it at you all in one go. Just please give us back the simple presentation of Dark Sky and the ability to get a daily summary first thing in the morning..Version: 1.8

Right now it displays 19’c in calgaryBut the temp in the dark in my yard is 24.8’c!!! SO WHAT GOOD IS A WEATHER APP FIVE DEGREES AWAY FROM ACCURATE? NONE!! AND DID YOU ALL SEE THE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS!! THERE ARE SO MANY 1-Star REVIEWS REPORTING CRAP THAT I REALIZE THIS APP IS -NOT- WHAT I NEED, looking out my window is the only accuracy I can trust..Version: 1.8

Bring back the previous version of weather appThe previous version in IOS 15 showed much accurate weather… while the current one in iOS 16 is not at all good..Version: 1.8

This app is literally never correctThis app is, quite literally, never correct in forecasting. It might be able to forward you some UV index or air quality values, but the precipitation forecasting is laughable. 0% will simply change to 100% when it happens, then on each subsequent hour, it will just do the same exact 0-100 thing as if to say “hey it’s raining now, but the next hour will be clear” (it never is). To be honest, this is an offensive effort from a company touting their all-in-one platform/app development environment as being worth the even-more-offensive prices they sell them at. Quintessential modern Apple: junk that doesn’t work as advertised with less than no ability for the user to influence positive change based on experience. But please, keep raising the prices of your same-as-last-year, not repairable, earth-desecrating phones etc. while telling us how lucky we are (to dubstep music) that you brought back an HDMI port on what is now a once-again-walled-off M1 platform (kind of like the one that made you obsolete before the iPod and Intel Macs in the mid 2000s, because you couldn’t do anything cross-plat with them). Thanks, guys. Bang-up job all around. Please recede once again into obsolescence, and take your “we need to satisfy shareholders by making users pay us when our stuff breaks and/or by making proprietary cables etc. etc.” nonsense with you..Version: 1.8

Ruined Dark SkySimply put they’ve ruined Dark Sky. Dark Sky wasn’t pretty but it was REALLY clear to work out the weather. A key point was it showed specific rates of forecast precipitation AND the probability it would rain. Both is key to judge if you need a coat or extra gear when I go cycling. The Apple Weather app just shows amount of rainfall not specific (mm/hr) other than a simple bar and NO probability. I’ve been screwed after going out without a coat multiple times now where this app said no rain. That didn’t happen with Dark Sky. Even if they thought it was unlikely it would rain it would still tell you there was a probability it might. STOP focusing on pretty pictures!!!!???? The important thing is the quality of the info!.Version: 1.8

Low contrastApp has useful info but is very low contrast text/graphic ratio on my iPad 5th Gen. Makes it too hard to easily read without concentrating. Won’t be bothering with this..Version: 1.8

Fantastic for a data scientistI loved Dark Sky, it did what it said it would do, simply, no fuss, and quickly. So imagine one day at Apple HQ a bunch of data guys gathered around the round.. y’all know that Dark Sky App we bought back in the day, we should take the phenomenal ease of working out if it will rain when you take the dogs for a walk and then go further because y’all need to know the barometric pressure, the UV status at 6am in the dark, which way the wind will blow so you can wear a scarf on that side of your face and then bring it together in a un-user friendly way that screams PowerBi and let you faff around for 20 minutes to figure out if it will rain/snow and not give you any easy option to view the data without the bells and whistles, hey, we should make it more data heavy than needed and definitely don’t give an option just to see a will it rain in the next hour page without participating in a puzzle to work out the icons. Don’t get me wrong, if I was a weather forecaster on TV or a data scientist, I’d be all over this. As it is, I just need a way of getting to the hardcore data that says, in 10 minutes you’ll need a big coat. Please, just give us the option for a Dark Skies simple interface..Version: 1.8

Predictions are uselessNot a problem with the app per se, but there is absolutely nothing reliable about the weather predicted. Not sure how useful an app is without being able to perform its main function..Version: 1.8

Please include ALL of Dark Sky’s featuresSince you purchased Dark Sky and integrated “most” of its features into your own weather app, kindly include ALL its features for users who still like and use Dark Sky and who will be SOOL from 1 January 2023 when you shut it down (that includes hourly wind forecast, oh and on that one - can we have km/h please? Not that hard). Your current weather app is still NOT as good as Dark Sky ever was. Some of us like detailed forecast..Version: 1.8

Looks nice, but some of the data just doesn’t add upVisually it’s a great looking weather app, however, I’d you tap on a specific day and then look at say precipitation, it will show you that rain is due across certain hours and how much in mm, but then at the bottom of the screen you’re given a ‘Daily Summary’ that states “total rainfall will be 0mm”, well how can it be 0mm when the data above is suggesting multiple mm’s of rain is due to fall?? Update: for some strange reason the per day hourly breakdown drop-down menu keeps randomly changing the rainfall description from ‘Rainfall’ to ‘precipitation’; not the end of the world, but why? 🤷🏻‍♂️.Version: 1.8

Why can’t I deleteI don’t want this app on my phone and I can’t seem to delete it. I’ve tried the normal way of deleting from screen and phone but it’s still there. It may sound crazy but it makes me incredibly uncomfortable when I have an app on my phone I didn’t download that doesn’t work properly. Is it actually a real app? I worry it’s one of those apps that steals information from my phone. Someone help. Please tell me how to remove. Or at least reassure me it’s legitimate. Thanks.Version: 1.9

Completely unreliableThis app doesn’t just miss on weather predictions by a little. It is an utterly useless app that my as well be randomly generating its information that it gives me each day..Version: 1.8

Woeful accuracyThis weather app is one of the worst. I rely on the weather forecast for work and have downloaded other apps for accurate weather as the Apple one is constantly inaccurate in every way. Case in point, yesterday it claimed overcast sky with sunny periods….. all day it was raining. Today it is claiming currently I am due for thunderstorms right now… the sun is shining with no clouds in the sky or horizon. Terrible and much better options out there..Version: 1.8

Weather app wrongI’ve noticed this last week that the weather app has been saying it’s raining when there’s not a cloud in the sky and also contradicts the bureau of meteorology’s app as well. Not sure what’s going on but it’s highly annoying that I can’t rely on this app and as I have the weather as my background it’s also weird to have it raining when it’s not..Version: 1.8

Never accurateThis app is the worst. It will be pouring rain outside and it says it’s sunny. Why is there not an easier way to report the weather in your area at least so it updates for everyone like with the traffic accidents on the maps app. It’s so unreliable. 0/10. Would not recommend..Version: 1.8

Doesn’t work on iPad mini 6I just found out about Dark Sky not being available soon as it has been integrated into this app so I looked to download it. Sadly it couldn’t download it because “This app requires specific features not available on this Device” but does not mention what features. My device is an IPad Mini 6th Generation and fairly new but the app works on my old iPhone. Dark Sky gives so much more information on an hourly basis than this new app which is why lots of people use it. Disappointing Apple. EDIT - I’ve just downloaded ios16 on my iPad and can now download Weather onto the iPad and it’s quite good. This app is much better than the Weather app on my iPhone and as good as Dark Sky. Sadly my iPhone won’t load iOS 16 so I may have to upgrade …. Darn you Apple..Version: 1.8

Front screen is nice but that’s allFront screen looks great and has that apple feel to it, but once you click in to get any details, it’s like a completely different app! Looks poor, information is badly presented and unclear. No severe weather warnings in the uk either. Should have been simple, upgrade the ui on dark sky and call it the apple weather app…. Also what’s with ‘windy’ as a forecast when you drill into a day’s weather? What I want to know is it that windy with sun?, windy with cloud?, windy with showers? Really anything besides windy! Especially as you can choose wind as an option for viewing the weather but can’t choose cloudy or sunny..Version: 1.8

Apple weather app needs work and soonI loved dark sky (I’ve lost count of how many people I recommend it to) and you took it and broke it - replaced it and didn’t make it better - as of now - please try and fix it with something apple won’t be embarrassed by. Dark sky had the best radar updates. It was easy to check if it was going to rain and how heavy it would be. (I live in an area where that is very important )Now apple weather doesn’t show the whole radar map. It’s inaccurate. It’s difficult to read. It’s clunky and feels cheap - not like an apple product. I cannot rely on apple weather like I did dark sky for my work or leisure activities. It’s a perfect weather app for someone who lives somewhere the weather hardly ever changes with low or infrequent precipitation..Version: 1.8

RIP Dark SkyI paid for Dark Sky many years ago and it has been my most-used app all that time, principally for checking local rain before going walking. Apple’s Weather app has made a poor job of incorporating the capability and I am still using Dark Sky with just a few days before Apple switch it off. I don’t like Apple’s Weather app and it has lost the detail of Dark Sky. Update: a few months later it’s no better. I’m currently sat in my car waiting for the rain to pass over. In the past so would have checked Dark Sky which would have showed me the rain radar. Weather just doesn’t work. The rain radar has blank areas and doesn’t show me the rain. This is the most rubbish Apple product by a comfortable margin.Version: 1.8

Apple purchased the Most Accurate Weather App; Still inaccurateApple bough dark sky and every day the past month when it has snowed at 30° apple has showed rain, or nothing at all. When I open my dark sky app it is still 100% accurate. I really hope it is not fully integrated yet and that this is not the final product of what u have decided to do with their info. U also have report a problem instead of report weather. Which can lead majority to believe that is not what that section is for. On top of not appearing to use the weather data u should have from dark sky, u also don’t seem to listen to the user reported info. I can assure u at 23° it is in fact NOT raining here in MI. Highly disappointed. I can look at your radar and look at dark Sky’s and it is completely different and dark Sky’s is accurate. From what I can see u purchased something great and made it as inaccurate as the incompetent meteorologists in charge of the weather channels. What a waste. I always talk up apple for so many reasons. I was ok with ur weather app sucking, but when u bought out the company who’s app I willingly paid for due to the accuracy, and u ruined it. I have nothing good to say about you in that area..Version: 1.8

Pretty but falls shortApple have done a reasonable job of integrating Dark Sky, however by focusing on making the graphs look pretty they have fallen short of the mark of surfacing data in a simple, practical and user friendly way [come on Apple, laurels are slipping] Suggestions Detailed Daily view : The aesthetic of the little chart is quite pleasing and I do like the graphic for precipitation. What would make it really cool and improve on Dark Sky is if the user could choose a secondary access, essentially being able to chart temperature and precipitation on the same chart (or any combination of 2 features) Detailed day view,: instead of squeezing all data onto a tiny grid and have the user use hold to find a specific hour- use a bigger grid and make it scroll , or even zoom. Map view looks so much less convincing than dark sky. Surely this could be brought up to the same quality ? Add alerts I never really used it much in Dark Sky, but Time Machine was fun. Any chance of some of the above features or not all ?.Version: 1.8

0% Accuracy when is comes to rainfall !For as long as I can remember the reports from this app have not been able to predict rainfall, not even once, it’ll say that there’s a 90%-100% chance of rain for the whole week, yet the sun will be beaming, the birds will be singing, like it’s a beautiful day and you’re lucky to even see a single droplet. I’ve learnt that my cat has a better chance at predicting the rain over this app..Version: 1.6

Many features but poorly implemented.I agree with previous reviewer. Dark Sky was a fantastic app that showed radar info and forecast 12 hr in advance. The expected clouds were sharp edged and moved smoothly. You could scrub the display forward and backwards easily and with precision. I used Dark Sky several times a day and it was easy to predict the arrival of bad weather, the radar giving high accuracy. Zooming (pinching) out have a satellite global view for the next 7 days. You could spin the globe around to check on weather anywhere in the world then zoom in for the 12 hour accurate radar version. Apple bought Dark Sky and removed these simple features. Note the 12 hour radar view now notches across the screen in a way that makes it impossible to take in. The cloud edges are diffuse and hard to identify. There is no 7 days feature. There are highly complicated graphs of temperature, precipitation etc but they are unusable and hard to switch from day to day. I never used this app before and I haven't found a replacement for Dark Sky yet. Apple needs to simplify the basic views and stop the notchy video and give us back the 7 day view. This would be a good start..Version: 1.8

How to sabotage a great ideaDark Sky was a brilliant app that gave really clear information about rain, wind, temperature, cloud and sun. And the scalable map/globe was a joy to use both for very short term and a few days ahead. It takes a really astonishing lack of understanding to have destroyed so many good features in ending up with this clunky piece of detritus. The daily percentage rain probabilities are quite useless, if you understand anything about statistics. The map is like something from a 1980s video game, moving in great lurches rather than smoothly. And why bin the globe in favour of a Mercator projection? The wind direction and speed is presumably just the current value, which I can find by opening my door. There is no forecast aspect to it. And all the other peripheral information, which also is only current and lacks any forecast, does not need coloured bars, charts or gauges to present it. The only reason I give this two stars is because it retains the one hour ahead rain indicator. Otherwise it looks like a badly executed high school project that would barely merit one..Version: 1.8

A poor replacement for Dark SkySo, all the other weather apps are informing me of a “ winter weather advisory” and of a “Special Weather statement” but Apple’s Weather app is silent about the advisory and statement. Keep in mind these notifications by the other apps are shown even if the normal Apple notifications for apps is off, they are intrinsic to the service offered by these apps. Also, Dark Sky used to include such notifications- so, Apple tell me again how your weather app is just as good as Dark Sky was! The failure by Apple to include government advisories is a major reason to not rely on Apple’s Weather app! Just received notification from this app that it is raining- well, Dark Sky, Carrot, and Weather Underground show no rain and guess what, it’s not raining. Still Apple insists they’ve incorporated the Dark Sky technology. Why didn’t Apple just rename Dark Sky, instead of perpetuating the inferior app they insist on keeping? Does not offer the details or local accuracy of Dark Sky, the app it is intended to replace. Plus the forecasts of the two apps differ, so how can Apple claim they’ve incorporated Dark Sky technology into their App? Just went to Dark Sky and it reported the temperature at my location is 65 deg. Then went to the Apple weather app and it reported 71 deg Checked the temp with a very accurate mechanical thermometer and it reported 66 deg So Apple explain to me how your app is now using Dark Sky technology.Version: 1.8

ManipulationThis is the “apple weather” app. Supposed to be accurate?! No. It is consistently lying and making it seem hotter or more severe than it is. Try another app and compare, better yet get your own outdoor thermometer. Compare what it reads to this, this will be wrong 9 out of 10 times. It doesn’t matter if humidity is next to nothing it will still say “humidity is making it feel hotter” it will give the “feels” at near 100 when it’s not even close. Maybe on a hot tarmac?? I’ve lived in the south nearly my entire life - the app is manipulating you to think it’s hotter than it is. The summer has been the same here EVERY YEAR, for well over 20 years, same with Florida. Stop falsifying stats! Today it’s full sun - wrong. Today it’s not 97 it’s not even close. It’s quite pleasant in the shade at 12:30pm even with a hot coffee. Stop making people believe your nonsense. I’d say delete the app and find one that is a bit more honest, it took me all of 10 mins, and the read outs were completely different and more accurate. Because this is the basic weather app it’s likely more people use it - seeing manipulated stats. Go ahead, try it. And yeah of course it’s hot in the middle of the road in JULY. 🤡 There is no “climate boiling” stop LYING..Version: 1.8

Apple gobbles up a great app then kills it.UPDATED Review: After using the Apple Weather app for a while now…it’s horrible. Dark Sky was soooo much better. Right now there is a storm in the area and large swaths of area are not showing the area precipitation. There are blocks to the north with rain but squares in our area are blank. Apple does it again! Buys a great app and screws it up. Why?? Dark Sky was the best weather app ever created for any platform. Apple “acquires” it then says the functionality will be put into the Weather app. Wrong. This is an example of what is wrong with Apple and an example of not listening to the tone of these reviews. The weather app is clunky and cluttered while Dark Sky was elegant and smooth and accurate. I’m disappointed to see Dark Sky go. Like Apple”s lame excuse for not having a calculator on the iPad, “We could not find a way do it well so we didn’t do it at all.” Really Apple? You can’t make a calculator app? Well you can’t make a Weather app either! The question persists, “Then if you can’t do it right, why buy an app that did it right and kill it?” It’s almost like, “If we can’t get it right NO ONE SHOULD!” Update 2: Storms and tornados in the area and the precipitation map will not fully load. I get a few blocks but the area map will not load!! Again, I never had that issue with Dark Sky. Apple had done it again!! Why?.Version: 1.8

Poor Ui and product ownershipIts unfortunate that a company has the ability to purchase a beautiful and premium utility based weather app like DarkSky which has am amazing user interface allowing you to easily view forecasts on a daily and hourly level many days ahead, view other stats hourly like wind speed, wind gusts and precipitation which is useful for safety reasons is you are on a great lake. Also UV, pressure and dew point also hourly. DarkSky also had a website where you could view weather as a globe and spin the globe seeing weather time lapsed so you can see things like the weather in siberia which in the winter usually is a 2 week prediction of northern us. Apple bought DarkSky which was at DarkSkys launch by far the most revolutionary weather app years ahead of everyone. Apple took some of the technology and put the tech into the Apple weather app which needed it. Everyone who has user interface experience and any weather background knows it was needed improvements and had very little utility and looked cheap. But the new Apple weather still has so much farther to go and is a 1 compared to DarkSky currently which is a 8. Now Apple is turning off DarkSky which for me enables my safety. This was very disheartening news. apple should have gave DarkSky a rename and themed DarkSky as the Apple theme and turned off Apple weather. this where product manager failed and is creating a safety issue for me..Version: 1.8

Rubbish compared to Dark SkyUpdate: 3 months since Dark Sky was brutally bumped off and I’m I’m begging for a total re-write of the plot; bring it back and we’ll pretend the past four months never happened. 🙏 Although Apple has bought and incorporated Dark Sky it really needs to use much more of the Dark Sky appearance which is far superior to the look of the Apple weather app. As Dark Sky support ends in January 2023 I hope more changes are brought to the Apple app, or come the new year, it will be a very dark day indeed. Dec 2022. Outlook bleak. Apple weather app still very much a kindergarten version of Dark Sky. Only a month until lights out. Christmas Day 2022, the End is Nigh! Dark Sky will soon be no more and Apple continues to ignore the legions of users who decry its end. It’s a no-brainier to just rebrand Dark Sky as the new weather app; tag on one or two additions from the existing weather app but keep Dark Sky’s far superior UI. Or at least give users the option to customise it to appear and function as Dark Sky. If Apple stubbornly refuses to change it I can see myself going old-school next week and just relying on radio forecasts and going all shepherd , and reading the sky..Version: 1.8

AverageBecause Dark Sky is to stop updating and saying that their know how has been integrated into this weather app I was looking forward to using this. It’s a better app to look at but not as accurate with its notifications. You can’t report when there’s drizzle. Prediction on rain is not as accurate. So as I said, it’s pretty to look at and the graphics are good but if it’s accuracy you’re looking for try something else. UPDATE….. this really isn’t living up to expectations. From a company like Apple you expect the best and this isn’t. The radar doesn’t work 50% of the time. The 5 hour prediction is average at best. I was used to using Dark Sky which was particularly good and I’m afraid this isn’t..Version: 1.8

Awful By ComparisonLike a lot of other people on here, I’m an ex-dark sky user. Used that app multiple times a day and for the most part it was extremely accurate. This app on the other hand is absolutely awful - I’ve had it now since DS shut down and it’s literally given me zero notifications. It’s been hammering down for the last 45 mins and yet the app shows it clear for another 2 hrs and then only a 30% chance of rain!! 🤷🏻‍♂️ I have no idea how they managed to ‘integrate’ such a brilliant app into this monstrous iteration, however I hope they read all of these negative comments, take it on the chin and manage to implement DS functionality properly. Any reviews over 1 star are simply because those people never tried Dark Sky so have nothing to compare it against..Version: 1.8

Not reliable or accurate. Missing data. Worst weather appDoesn’t work. I have terrible storms coming. Looked at precipitation map and it showed nothing past, present or future!!! Every other radar map shows bad storms coming including the news. The radar map on this app shows not precipitation anywhere in the country! DO NOT USE THIS APP. IT COULD HAVE LED TO SERIOUS LIFE SAFETY ISSUES. NOT RELIABLE. TYPICAL APPLE GARBAGE. If you’d focus more on your products and software and less on making pregnant men emojis….there could be progress. The colors used on the map for rain, etc. are stupid. Just use colors we all are accustomed to. Greens for rain. Pinks and blues for ice and snow. Why change the meteorological color standard ????! The radar screen shows nothing and then a minute later it finally populates with radar overlay. I’m on a gigabit internet connection. I can’t imagine how long it would take on cellular. No pollen forecast or alerts…..this app is terrible. Another quality pile of garbage from Apple. Update - a year later and none of the issues are fixed. Radar map still doesn’t work properly and takes 30-60 seconds to load the actual radar on a blank map. It’s set to update in the background. Obviously that isn’t happening. DO NOT USE. Apple doesn’t care to fix the app, but they keep making new emojis!.Version: 1.8

Updated… again… Can’t even SEE the radarMonths into the forced switch and radar is still terrible. Shows all around me but often leaves a huge square where I am unloaded. Forecast regularly shows storm systems making near 90 degree turns from history. Just the worst. :(( Radar had an update, now it completely fails on cable internet. Switch to temp and back and get some of the radar. Terrible app keeps getting worse. New one! Severe weather alert says rain today, forecast says nothing until Monday (it’s Tuesday), and tomorrow shows a foot of wintry mix. None of the three agree with each other… terrible app. Apple should have NEVER bought Dark Sky. Everything I said below, plus now: you can’t even zoom out the radar. On a cable internet connection it constantly fails to load large chunks of the screen and never tries again. Totally useless as a radar app… dark sky NEVER had this issue. >:( Better after ioOS 16, as others have said but still terrible compared to dark sky. This app is MUCH slower, and way less intuitive (yes I found what I was looking for but even knowing where things are they still don’t make sense. This was a BAD decision..Version: 1.8

Such a poor replacement for Dark SkyI walk everywhere and Dark Sky was my way to avoid walking in the rain. Do I leave for work now or leave in 15 minutes? Shall I stay a little later at work as the shower starting in 5 minutes is due to finish 30 minutes later etc. It has been truly wonderful. Dark Sky helped us plan our next hour and I recommended it to many people. One friend talked about taking their grandchildren to the zoo and going into a cafe for an early lunch as he could see a heavy rain shower was coming in 15 minutes. It did. They had a nice table and their food was already ordered when everyone else poured in to avoid the rain. This was how wonderful Dark Sky was but that amazing feature seems lost now. So far, it appears to have been absorbed into just another weather app with attractive graphs that don’t help to give relevant, detailed information at all. RIP Dark Sky I will keep searching and hoping for a decent replacement..Version: 1.8

Not compatible with iPad Mini 6I repeatedly get an error that the official Apple weather app is not compatible with the iPad Mini 6 running iPad OS 15. The app store will not allow the app to be downloaded onto the iPad Mini 6 and it disappeared from the device app library..Version: 1.6

DOESNT WORK!!!!!I was promised free Robux upon download however I was not gifted with us zero out of 10 would not recommend to my worst enemy.Version: 1.8

Nowhere near accurateI am sick of this App telling me there is no rain forecast and it is the opposite I keep checking to see if it updates with the rain coming down but no it still shows sun. I add my area in again and still doesn’t update. Frustrating as there was supposed to be no rain today yet it has rained all day..Version: 1.8

App crashesSince upgrading to iOS 15.0.2 app crashes continually.Version: 1.6

DisappointedI have been a Dark Sky user for years and LOVE it. It is, by far, the best weather app there is. Apple has bought them and integrated their technology into their own weather app but have left out some of the features that truly make Dark Sky the best. Many other reviewers have pointed some of these things out but I haven’t seen anyone mention the custom notifications that you can set up with Dark Sky. Not only do I get a daily weather summary every morning at an exact time of my choosing but I also set up notifications for if the wind reaches a certain mph, and if the real feel temp goes above a certain degree, and if the snow accumulation is supposed to get to a certain level. Not only can I customize these alerts down to an exact temp or level, but I can customize the time I receive these alerts down to the minute. I start my morning knowing how to dress, what to be prepared for, and if I need to leave early because we got hit with a bunch of snow overnight. This is my favorite thing about Dark Sky and Apple completely dropped the ball. I will continue to use Dark Sky right up until January 1st before sadly having to switch to the Apple app.Version: 1.8

InaccurateAlways wrong on rain. Some days it calls for high percent chance of rain when it never rains and now more often it doesn’t call for rain while it starts to pour. I just can’t rely on the rain forecast anymore..Version: 1.8

Rain Notification and Rain RadarI have been using the Weather app since my first Apple 3GS all the way to my current Apple 12. It’s an amazing app but it has two problems: 1) Under settings, I have the “allow weather to access” - location set to Always. But the last time we had rain I never got my rain start or rain stop notification. If I gave Weather permission to always access my location, why did I not recieve a rain start or rain stop notification? 😡 2) In the precipitation map, the rain is illustrated by a range of color to show llight rain to heavy rain. When you hit the play button on the Next - Hour Forecast to show the movement of the rain. The graphics in this application are poor compared to the weather channel app. The weather channel app shows a Radar map with rain movement illustrated in a bright green for light rain, yellow for moderate rain and red for heavy rain. Apple needs to improve this with a new radar/ doppler map with better graphics. 🤔 I sent Apple  a Report an Issue message using the app but I never heard from them. Maybe the right person will read this and fix it..Version: 1.6

Generally unreliableI live in Melbourne so we expect unpredictable weather but this app consistently gets it wrong - even a few hours before a change. I have used it in Japan and Australia and have seen incorrect results at least 50% of the time. Right now I am looking at pouring rain while the app shows slightly cloudy. It’s ruined more than one holiday booking - I need to find something else..Version: 1.8

What did you do?About 3 weeks ago, this app went from being the best app for predicting the weather to being almost useless. Rain coming? App predicts sunshine. Clouds on the way? App predicts downpours. Completely clear day in the middle of summer, with a UV index of 12? App says it’s cloudy and the UV index is 7. It has been drizzling all afternoon. App forecast? Partially sunny, 0% chance of rain. It used to be more accurate. I don’t know what changed, but it’s not an improvement..Version: 1.8

UnhappyI use this app to know whether to rug my horses or not. It used to be fantastic but multiple times in the last few months I’ve woken to unexpected rain. The long range forecast also keeps changing back and forth. My horses will be cold tonight - you predicted 14 degrees and no wind or rain. It’s windy and raining and feels like 8 degrees.Version: 1.8

Why so inaccurate? This app regularly tells me it is not raining when it is pouring outside and predicts no rain until next week (other forecasts differ). Also tells me no rain in last 24 hours but it has rained several times. Can’t even get recent weather correct! Apparently Apple blame IBMs The Weather Company, so I compared. When checked directly todays forecast was far more accurate than this app. So the problem is Apple. Fix it. I’ve hidden the app in a folder for now but it is the default and annoying..Version: 1.8

Tiny Text = Usability CrisisThe new weather app has a number of useful screens and ways to view weather information, but it appears that the professional standards for readability and usability have been completely thrown out and lost on the team that made this application. Even with 20/20 vision or with glasses the text is often so tiny that it requires a lot of focus or stillness to read the information. On a watch which we often use in motion while doing other things or needing to quickly glance at relevant information tiny text that requires a microscope to focus on his completely inappropriate for the usage contexts of a watch that humans wear on their wrist. It’s a shame because the weather data and incorporation of dark sky (RIP) tech has made the Apple Weather app a UX disaster. Apple Weather app is great on the desktop of my MacBook Pro. It’s great on on iOS — but on the Apple Watch it is a complete nightmare. This could also be concerning as a form of age bias, because certainly older people with less than standard eyesight will have an even harder time using this application. I strongly suggest the management team at Apple watch OS renew their commitment to human center design and update the app to make it actually readable and designed for the human contexts of the product..Version: 1.9

Wrong weather!!!I do snow removal in the winter. Last year this app was 100% accurate. Now, not once has it accurately predicted the snowfall?! Very disappointing..Version: 1.8

Incredibly inaccurate weather forecastsThe weather for Wellington, NZ is usually wrong in this app. Today no rain showing at all then we get a torrential downpour lasting for an hour. Rain hardly shows in the app. Please get a new weather provider - app is hopeless until you they can source accurate weather data..Version: 1.8

Absolute rubbish 0/10Are you serious? Yesterday the weather said there was a 30% chance of rain at 10 pm and it rained most of the day. It said there wasn’t gonna be any rain today and it’s been raining so heavy there a flood warnings now. If the Apple weather app is having trouble, predicting the weather I suggest you look at the window and when you see that it’s raining you update your app to say that it’s raining rather than having sunshine in clouds with no chance of rain. Far out. Yet this app is still suggesting a 30% chance of rain at midday, but it’s actually bucketing down so hard there a storm flood warnings posted by the government. Apple apps and products are absolutely useless. They will become the next Nokia…. 0/10.Version: 1.8

Most inaccurate weather app in the App Store!!The weather app is so inaccurate a child could advise the weather and forecast better…..I mean really?!!.Version: 1.9

Bring back Dark Sky!I have no idea why Apple doesn’t reinstate and just rebrand the now-shuttered Dark Sky app and call it Weather, and deprecate its crappy Weather app. After being forced to use the Weather app for the past week since Dark Sky was shut down, I can confidently say the Weather app is woefully inaccurate— in addition to its confusing UI. I live in the Pacific Northwest. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn’t rain nonstop for seven months a year. Each day especially during the months of October through June is usually a rolling mix of light rain, heavy rain, high wind gusts, merely overcast, peeks of sun, etc. The conditions change from hour to hour and can vary from neighborhood to neighborhood. That’s why Dark Sky was so fabulously useful. The forecast was hyperlocal and always incredibly accurate. The app UI/UX was drop-dead simple and consistent. Meanwhile, the Weather app tells me it’s dry conditions outside when it’s actually downpouring for an hour. On the main screen, you cannot get an easy visual that shows it’s high wind gusts and heavy rain— for that you have to tap for individual details. It’s clunky and a pain but the inaccurate info is the absolute worst “feature.”.Version: 1.8

Canadian weatherI agree with other Canadian reviews. Not accurate weather especially with snow fall. We don’t get warnings or notifications which is something people rely on. The precipitation is inconsistent between pages. One page says total for today says one one amount and the next page says total next 24 hours is a very different amount What’s the difference between today and 24 hours? And yes Canada measures snow in cm. Maybe a Canadian weather forecaster should be involved..Version: 1.9

Poor dataThis app always states current temperature 2degrees Celsius warmer than actual temperature. I can’t guess the days weather behaviour better than this app, I reckon they use a dart board.Version: 1.8

Showing wrong weather informationThe new updates of weather app is showing wrong weather conditions. At my location it’s snowing outside from Monday and the weather app still showing sunny day. New update is worst..Version: 1.9

Frustrating weather predictionsThe long range forecast on this app changes with such frequency - often within a few hours and with such significant differences - that I have become sceptical of its accuracy. It’s rarely in sync with other weather apps, is often conservative in its temperatures having to upscale them, and sometimes fails to display what is happening in real time. I understand weather is difficult to predict but this app in particular is quite frustrating, especially when it comes to its long range forecasts which seem to end up a few days later exactly where they ended up a few days before having gone through many revisions of entirely different weather predictions..Version: 1.8

Basic flawsI can’t see the wind speed in km/hr or in Beaufort? Was this designed by someone who’d never been out of their office in a US basement? I bought Dark Sky and liked it’s accuracy and it’s clear depiction of what was to come. This may incorporate the technology and so the accuracy - it’s too early for me to judge for me here - but it sure lost a lot in usability, not just customisation of units, but in providing a clear view of what’s important today and in the days to come. Those two views need different levels of info but need to be visible without multiple clicks. Most importantly different areas of the world need different information. When I’m in Vancouver I don’t care about the wind, there never is any unless a major event is happening. When I’m in the north of Scotland the wind is the key thing I need to know about, in fairly fine detail, as here it varies between force 6 and 11+ in a day..Version: 1.8

This is no Dark SkyWhen I found out Apple had purchased Dark Sky I was concerned. Dark Sky has been an awesome app, and while I understand why Apple purchased it, Apple’s Weather app still falls far short. The smarter thing to do is dump their Weather app and continue support for Dark Sky. The maps are not on par (one thing I liked about Dark Sky was seeing the weather systems on a global scale ON THE GLOBE. Maybe Apple is pushing Flat Earth?) There is currently a winter weather advisory but the Weather app doesn’t even mention one is in place, let alone give a link to read it. Where is the predictive alerts when it is getting ready to rain, snow, icy conditions, etc? Even with notifications turned on nothing like this ever happens like it did in Dark Sky. I think the Apple developers got way ahead of themselves on this without understanding how people use a weather app. They added a lot of bells and whistles at the expense of functionality and simplicity. Dark Sky should never have been replaced. UPDATE Now that Apple has turned off Dark Sky and forcing people to use their crappy app, I am going to look elsewhere. It is snowing right now 02 Jan 2023 and not even the map indicates there is any precipitation in my area. Sure they allow you to be the weather person and report the weather to THEM, but I think Apple should be paying us for the data..Version: 1.8

Can’t be trustedApp says zero precipitation, it’s snowing. Like many other reviewers accuracy is a major issue especially if you travel for work like I do. Based on how many comments there are about inaccuracy and how far back they date I don’t think the app creators care..Version: 1.9

Better after ios16, still no Dark SkyRaising my rating after updating to ios16 and seeing the Weather app is finally showing some evidence that they’re at least trying to incorporate Dark Sky features. Glad to see that it finally has multiple days of hourly forecast available. It still misses the mark in a big way for me. My biggest gripe is hourly forecast for Dew Point being buried in the “humidity” graph. Dew Point is the best way I’ve found to tell how “muggy” it will feel. Relative Humidity doesn’t give any such indication and is a meaningless stat on its own. For example right now the relative humidity is 80% but dew point is in the 30’s and it feels great outside, not muggy at all. On the hourly Humidity graph, it only graphs relative humidity, I have to scroll through each hour one at a time to see the forecasts for dew point. I travel a lot to un-air conditioned warehouses in the south/gulf region and dew point forecasts in Dark Sky have been my go-to for knowing how to dress and plan for the day. If it's 100 degrees with a dew point in the low 40's I know it will feel cooler in the the shade/in the warehouse, if it's 100 degrees with a 70+ dew point I know it will be like a convection oven, even in the shade with a fan blowing. I would prefer a tabular view of this data like Dark Sky had… at the very least give Dew Point it’s own graph please. Happy to at least see the data in there, but I continue to prefer Dark Sky..Version: 1.8

Apple: Are You Reading These and Do You CARE?I’ve only owned an iPhone for about a year and a half. Long term holdout. The weather app is APPALLING. It’s quite literally a safety risk. We’ve just experienced one of the worst storms I can remember in Northern California and it gave NO heads up till perhaps late in the night before. People who went to bed at ten and woke up for a commute would have thought “oh ok it’s raining” without any understanding of what they were headed into. I got an idea of what was actually headed our way from friends starting to contact me 24 hours before. A friend in FRANCE had better insight than this app. I’ve known for a while the wind speed is way off for my area. I keep sending feedback. Because I wasn’t much of an app user till I got this phone I never got to enjoy Dark Sky. Sounds amazing, and yes I have noticed some of the recent improvements to this app that others have mentioned that I now know come from Dark Sky. I’m particularly interested in what the person said about dew point and humidity. But really, Apple. Do you care about anything but money for your top execs and shareholders?? You could have left Dark Sky alone. The second star is simply for recent improvements. But I’m searching for a better app now..Version: 1.8

Sort out the rain functionalityDear Apple. You have gone backwards with your incorporation of Dark Sky into this weather app. The whole point of integration and development is to make things better and not worse; you have made it significantly worse. I don’t care about the user interface I just want it to work as well as the Dark Sky app. I have noticed that Dark Sky is by far the best real time rain predictor/actual app. Your new weather app is mostly inaccurate and does not produce the ‘hyper local’ function that Dark Sky was so good at. I have been checking the Dark Sky vs Apple predictions and you are not even close. I can tell if it’s actually raining because water is falling from the sky, Dark Sky seems to get this right. Your app will tell me it’s raining when it’s not, predict rain when it doesn’t happen and predict no rain when it is actually raining. The timings are never correct (unless by chance every now and then). The rain radar is jerky and not correct either, the predicted shifts in clouds defying the laws of physics. You should either up your game and get Dark Sky to tell you how it’s done or just keep Dark Sky functioning (I seem to remember paying for it a while back). I am entirely sure that you will ignore this problem and leave it as it, is as you are Apple and don’t listen to your customers..Version: 1.8

Bring back Dark SkyI loved Dark Sky, to the point that I rarely pay for apps, but after seeing and hearing what it can do, it was worth it. Even with most weather being difficult to predict, it was rarely wrong. So then Apple bought it and I thought ok, that’s only going to make the Weather app better, right?? Every single time I open the weather app, it’s wrong. Usually saying it’s raining, when it’s not or vice versa. It’s like they bought Dark Sky and then did nothing with it except to do the “rain is starting” push notification (which stays on screen whilst you have the phone unlocked; mildly hazardous when trying to follow directions on google maps whilst driving). I am forever filling in error reports for the app, but it never gets any better. So I beg of you, please bring back the Dark Sky app!!.Version: 1.8

Latest changesNow it’s way too cluttered. This has become a chaotic dysfunctional app. If you want to keep it like then then make “Feels like” below current temperature, along with “wind”. That pointless graph bar beside each day OMG ?! Who’s ego is being fanned here ?? … Drop the bar all together. The rest is just clutter/hoarding..Version: 1.6

Terrible forecasting on same day weatherI live in Canada and this app is consistently wrong about same day conditions if it has to do with snow or rain. I am literally looking outside and it has been snowing for hours, yet the APL says “cloudy”. Useless. Apple seems to think weather outside Cupertino is irrelevant..Version: 1.9

Not sure where the data is coming fromData is suppose to come from BOM au but recently the predictions and weather now is so wrong. It says it is raining in my suburb and city as I look at a blue sky. Rain is predicted in the next hour when the bom radar shows nothing for 256km and also the forecast for the entire city is 0% chance of rain plus no rain has fallen since 9am. Is Apple using data for the right area?.Version: 1.9

Ruined deckI treated my deck as there was no rain in the forecast. Twelve hours later a torrential down pour totally ruined it. App is totally worthless..Version: 1.8

Why is precipitation prediction off?It seems that lately the precipitation prediction for this app is off. Mostly saying no precipitation when it is snowing. Not sure what’s happening..Version: 1.9

Totally unreliableThis app is seldom correct. It never stops raining, yet the app says “cloudy, windy or even sunny! It cannot be relied on.Version: 1.8

Trash app - reposting because I was censoredThe weather app is 99% in accurate. They will tell you the opposite of what will happen. If it is sunny, prepare for rain. I have screenshots of the app and what’s happening outside and it’s inconsistent always. Take today for example, if you check Decatur, GA it will say 90% chance of rain. It hasn’t rained once today, and the forecast for the next 2.5 hours is only cloudy. They forecast rain at 1am on 3/22. How does that correlate to 90% rain the day before with a 0% chance hour by hour. I have written the GA state climatologist and weatherman about the largely inaccurate predictions by this app and false preparations that they insinuate to their users. This needs to be sunset for something that is accurate. In 2022, how are this apps predictions worse than some caveman forecast. If there were weatherman back during the dinosaur ages, they probably told all the dinosaur that the clouds were clear and it was gonna be a beautiful day….only for them to get wiped off the planet. That’s what this app is looking to do. 1am is now 0% but 2am is 100%. What are the odds I’m up at two outside and there is no rain. I will lose it. Fix your app or get off the store. How can anyone have faith in your predictions when you are always wrong. Apple listen to this. Get rid of the weather app as your stock app. Add something at least 30% accurate..Version: 1.6

Accuracy??Incorrect as much as correct ..ho him.Version: 1.8

Leave it to Apple to make the world flatWas excited to see the Dark Sky integration. That is until it happened. Buried information in submenus makes it useless and renders the whole experience sub par. Definitely, a step back, most especially because they’ve turned the globe (one of the coolest features of any app ever) into a flat map. Apple is great at making things look like high end design, but when it comes to data visualization this was an epic fail. As a frequent traveler, you get specific information about weather patterns by seeing how they move with the curvature of the earth. For thousands of years human beings have learned to read cloud patterns and ocean waves across a distant horizon not because they need to know what the weather is right now, but to be able to anticipate what it will be in two days. For kids to see a globe - heck, for adults to see a globe- brought an element of the natural world to life. Dark Sky was wisdom, not just information. Now it’s just another same-old-same-old two dimensional map. I really do wish the engineers would stay out of the product process and start listening to the SMEs who know something about mankind’s desire to mitigate uncertainty. We appreciate the technology. But it’s a tool for human beings in the real world. The real world is round. But Apple has made it flat again, and that is a step back..Version: 1.8

App has gotten worse over the yearsBring back the old weather app!.Version: 1.8

Hilariously inaccurateI wish I lived in the app, where every single day is bright and breezy… sometimes even at night!.Version: 1.8

I miss Dark Sky already :(Apple bought Dark Sky, which was my favorite app for years. Last week I got a notice saying Dark Sky will no longer be available on 1/1/23… oddly enough, that very same day Dark Sky started giving bogus temperature forecasts (-73, -68 low temps in September for example) and is suddenly not accurate anymore — as if they programmed it to fail (because my similar apps that use the same Dark Sky API source weren’t messing up like this). Well, so, I thought, Apple bought Dark Sky to have their UI/API, right? So I’ll re-download the stupid apple app to see if it’s like Dark Sky. NOPE. It doesn’t look similar, nor does it have the great hourly forecast functionality as Dark Sky. The last nail in Apple’s coffin for me is that the app only even loads 50% of the time when I open it (and I open it 4-5 times a day for predictions due to working outside often) half the time it shows a blank screen with little dashes where todays temp should be. Trillion dollar company… TRILLION… can’t make a basic app function right after gobbling up smaller awesome companies. Makes me so angry and sad. So, it’s back to the also not-so-great Wunderground app for me. Deleting this Apple app for the crap they pulled with killing Dark Sky and not releasing an equivalent. Boooo, apple. Booooo..Version: 1.8

Accuracy is 👎I’ve noticed that the app is not very accurate anymore like it used to be. Seems to be showing the opposite of what the day/night actually turns out to be. Not very reliant..Version: 1.6

Plainly not at Apple standard levelI love Apple. I love Apple products. I love Apple apps. But the weather app is not at Apple's standard level. It glitches. Limited settings. Inadequate information. We are in 2024. After giving it a second try, and try I did, I went back to the weather network. Let's hope the next iOS will revamp the app but I for now will prefer app with ads..Version: 1.9

Not accurate & no local forecastThis used to be my favourite weather app but recently it has proven to be very inaccurate and it no longer provides a local forecast. Sadly I’ve uninstalled this app after using it for many years..Version: 1.8

FeaturesCan you please add tide times and wave conditions on the app!! Cheers!.Version: 1.6

New forecasts are lousyThe change to the latest iOS has also moved this app to stop being an effective tool in New Zealand. The hourly forecasts for rain etc used to be uncanny, but now they are not predictive. Lots of times the app predicts no rain when it is actually raining outside. The data provider changed in this upgrade and that appears to be the issue. The Watch interface has also moved backwards, becoming less readable and requiring more taps to see the forecasts..Version: 1.9

Needs a lot of work!It has some nice features but still needs lots of work. For instance the zoom level of the precipitation map is ridiculous! When I open it I can see the rainfall radar from the top of Norway to Italy (I live halfway). Apple should at least introduce the option to set a default zoom level, like this it's useless. And then the radar itself is by far not precise enough compared to other weather apps. Other customisations are very much needed too such as the option to reshuffle sections in the layout. I can't imagine anyone using this as a proper replacement to alternatives in the App Store such as Weather & Radar. This is an Apple unworthy thing!!.Version: 1.8

Used to be goodThis app used to be reasonably good, but now it’s inaccurate enough to be useless. What has happened?.Version: 1.8

MehI like the format over other weather apps, but the accuracy is poor. Wouldn’t plan my day based on their forecast..Version: 1.9

Waste of timeMuch preferred the earlier version where it took you to your browser and you could actually access the information you wanted. So "fancy" now but lost a lot of basic info..Version: 1.8

The Ever Devolving AppThe Apple Weather App tore the soul out of Dark Sky and implemented the original Dark Sky technology and features in a completely dumbed down makeover. The premise on which Dark Sky was built was the ability to view the weather in close to real time showing precipitation patterns. Unfortunately the Apple implementation can’t even get this base function to work consistently. More often than not, the thumbnail of the weather when expanded results in a map of the area you’re interested in with no weather. Tweaking the map by zooming in or out sometimes overlays the precipitation data, but mostly it doesn’t. Not only that, but the map colours used offer little contrast. Living in the UK it’s an island. The colour of the UK countries when compared to the surrounding sea are almost non distinct. At least Dark Sky coloured the countries a mid grey so they stood out from the background. I suggest Apple focus on getting the core functionality correct before adding a plethora of features which mire the whole user experience. Another fine example if style over substance..Version: 1.8

Apple Weather app is horrible, takes forever to load weatherI’ve used Dark Sky for a long time. There are so many ways to look at the weather and conditions. Hour by hour, humidity, wind, UV, and if it was going to rain where I was. I could tell if it was going rain but much more than the city! TV weather people would say it was going to rain, but you couldn’t tell if it was where you were going to be or just their coverage area, which could be several counties. Dark Sky was really accurate in everything, not perfect but extremely well done. Apple bought them, and now they say they are including their technology into the Apple weather app. I’m calling a B/S on that. Unless things change between now and their ending Dark Sky in January, I’ll be looking for a new weather app! Hmmm, maybe they aren’t as dumb as we think! They end the app and they then sell millions of other apps to replace the Apple app? Don’t they get a cut from each sale? UPDATE It’s now the end of January and I’ve been using the new app since they deleted Dark Sky! It’s not even close as useful as Dark Sky was. My biggest interest in a weather app is to know weather hour by hour. I plan my golf tee times by the information. The new charts make it difficult, and sometimes impossible! This new app is no different than the others out there. Dark Sky was the best! Maybe someone builds another that competes with Apples but is useful!.Version: 1.8

Never accurate.Supposed to be clear all day with no rain in the forecast. It’s raining after we just painted our deck! Still saying no rain even now..Version: 1.8

I could guess better than this appThis app consistently puts up high percentages of rainfall and time after time nothing but clear blue skies and dry weather. I mean if you’re just going to put random numbers up as a percentage of whether something is likely to happen at least do a lower percentage so I’m not constantly let down by how bad this app is at guessing the weather forecast. 90% rain; doesn’t rain. 80% rain; doesn’t rain. 70% rain; doesn’t rain. 60% rain; doesn’t rain. Ok cool. Worst app ever..Version: 1.6

Inferior to Dark Sky in so many waysLatest…Absolute garbage. Connectivity is at times non existent and when it works at all its slower that any other weather app that’s available. Ok now the specific complaints. The app takes an incredibly long time to load if it loads at all. International locations especially so. The worst connection is the radar presentation. The loading time for the radar display is from non-existent to molasses in January. Again, don’t ask it for any location outside the US. Just tried to get a radar picture of the current conditions in Atlanta…”Not Available At This Time.” It is not an issue with my ISP, 5G when not on WiFi and other Apple load quickly and are immediately usable. Why would Apple deliberately trash an obviously superior app in Dark Sky for the clunky “Weather” app. If certain attributes of Dark Sky have been incorporated into the Weather app, the developers have done an excellent job of hiding them. It is surprising to me that given the overwhelming negative reviews of Weather, it was Dark Sky that was dropped. Couldn’t Apple management told the people responsible for Weather that Dark Sky would now be renamed Weather and they were all fired. I don’t know about the politics of what app gets support and anther gets canned but Apple got it wrong on dropping Dark Sky..Version: 1.8

Totally Disappointed - RevisedDark Sky has sold it’s app to Apple Weather. I received a notification that Apple Weather was ready to view with the new updates from Dark Sky. HOWEVER, the app is consistently giving me weather from surrounding cities and NOT CURRENT LOCATION. Dark Sky gave me minute by minute weather in my CURRENT LOCATION always. Being a golfer and traveler, this is huge. I’m not looking to Apple Weather as my go to weather app. I wouldn’t refer it to anyone. Update 1/1/23. Dark mode? How do you get out of dark mode? Where are the settings? (Other than choosing Celsius or Fahrenheit) Why is “weather on (my street name)” HIDDEN on the bottom of the page? Put it right at the top where I can see it. Can’t be my “go to” weather app until a number of these concerns are addressed. Update 1/4/23. Pleased to see I can now see weather at my location for specific hours of the day. Still need to see current location at the top of the page, and ways to get out of dark mode. Even a rainy day can be set as slightly gray and not black. Depressing. It’s bad enough that I have rainy/snowy weather for 6 months. But I have to have a weather app just as dark and get???? I’ll check back every so often, but whether channel is weather app. So sad..Version: 1.8

Apple missing the pointThis app is a prime example of Apple completely missing the point. I’ve been a long term user of Dark Skies, going back to before Apple bought it and you had to pay for it. While Apple may have taken the core data and integrated it into their Weather App, they have completely missed the point that data is only of use if you can get to it easily and efficiently. The GUI on the Weather App is shocking. Everything I want to see is buried multiple clicks in to menus. Dark Skies worked well as everything you needed was never more than a click away. Whoever at Apple who thought closing Dark Skies and replacing with this was a good idea really aught to take a long hard look at themselves..Version: 1.8

No good since updateSince apple update to 16.0 this app is totally useless and inaccurate. Over it, going to just delete it.Version: 1.8

Used to be goodNot even close to showing the actual weather. Pouring rain outside for 2 hours and it tells me it’s cloudy and there’s been no precipitation in the last 24 hours. It used to be accurate but the last 4 months it’s terrible..Version: 1.8

Inaccurate in Perth, AUSNear enough is not really good enough for a weather App. Not a cloud in the sky and this App is telling me it is raining. I checked the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) weather radar and nothing to indicate rain for the entire south west of WA. This happens very frequently. Despite numerous feedback reports on this and other inaccuracies (including temperature), I have seen no improvement. Also the App’s own weather radar representation needs work and contains glitches. Consider grabbing more of the BoM’s accurate data and this App might hold its own against other applications. In the meantime, I have moved on to a more reliable source, that provides the actual weather for my location..Version: 1.8

Devoid of all the Dark Sky detailThis is my first review of an Apple App but when Apple buy an excellent product such as Dark Sky and then it’s released under the logo without the majority of the content making it special, developers need to know. We live on the coast where conditions change regularly if you are in or near the sea. All of the hour by hour features of rain, % likelihood, wind direction, gusts, precipitation and UV are gone as well as the quality radar notifications. We’ve always used these as a steer, rather than a guarantee to know what to prepare for though these are all non-existent now. What is also missing is the detail in the 7 day weather predictions. Worst of all, Location Finder puts us in a town 5 miles away, not on the coast and with little of the same immediate weather. This should be so much better. Apple bought a winning app and have diluted its features so much to make it irrelevant. Developers please review for a future release and credit Dark Sky for what it did so well.Version: 1.8

Widget issuesThis app when used as a widget on iphone shows next several days for Ottawa i live in Scarborough. Do you people not even use your own app Ottawa is not even on my locations for the app. Lets get organized.Version: 1.9

Completely InaccurateUpdate - for the past couple of months this app has said that it’ll be storming practically all day every day. Every other weather app says there’s 0% chance of thunderstorms today, but my Apple Watch says yet again that there’s a 40% chance of storms every hour today. Why???? There’s no chance of storms. How has this continued to be so inaccurate for so long? This needs to be fixed. I absolutely hate the 24 hour temperature forecast. Right now it’s saying that there’s a high of 63 today, just because at midnight - literally at midnight 9 hours ago it was 63 degrees. The temperature has fallen ever since & will only get up to about 45 degrees today. Every other weather app is showing a high of 45 degrees. If I go by this app, I won’t need a coat today. But in reality I will. It’s the same with the lows. It’ll show you the low for the previous night as the low for “today”. This means the weather on my Apple Watch is completely unusable & I always have to check it against something else. Please go back to having the temperature forecast be for the same time frame as everyone else. Telling me there’s a high of 63 today, when it was 63 at midnight, does not help me in any way, shape or form..Version: 1.8

IT’S NOT RAINING!!I don’t know whether Apple are trying to sell more umbrellas or their developers are too busy trying to cool down the iPhone 15 but this app is constantly showing drizzle when the skies are clear and blue. Whilst walking outside to get accurate weather information is good for keeping our steps up, it defeats the purpose of having an app. According to this app, it’s been 12,886 days of rain and my garden should be lush and green. Explain to me the dry, shrivelled plants that I see after donning my raincoat, gum boots, umbrella and thermals and heading outside!!! Someone is having a laugh and I can assure you it’s not the lavender flowers that are halfway to becoming potpourri..Version: 1.9

Weather is just wrongThe weather forecast is wrong the last couple of days. Radar precipitation is poor..Version: 1.8

Average - much better alternatives availableWhilst, the app first impressions visually are positive, overall it’s pretty average functionality wise. I am surprised this was one of the most rated weather apps before App purchased it. The weather radar is pretty hopeless. The time scale is massive, so it jumps in such large increments you are hard pressed to get an idea what’s happening now. Ok, you can get an idea of what’s coming but it’s guess work in reality. The colour grading of the severity of the weather is baffling. With blue light rain (fair enough) but extreme weather as white!! Really, for one white almost loses itself amongst the other colours. It goes completely against all convention of grading. Common sense would say light rain is white, going to blue going to orange going to red and then black or dark red for extreme. It would also be much better that you can access or to precipitation radar as default as it’s a few clicks to get there. It’s the one thing I use a lot. I have been using Willy weather and that is so good from intuitively and the radar is perfect, I can see what is coming now and happening now really really easy, I can see tides, wave height etc. yes this isn’t relevant to everyone so I guess that’s why it’s not on the Apple Weather app. It’s a real shame that the Apple weather app radar can’t be improved because it’s a nice glossy looking app so I alway find myself having to go to Willy weather to see what’s happening now!.Version: 1.6

Worthless appThis app does not detect my current location.. I open the app and there is two lines - -… I try to send feedback and it says in order to send feedback location must be enabled… it sends me to settings and I put always allow… nothing happens…I actually entered my city and somehow doing that made it detect my current location… now it does not even do that..i tried deleting app and reinstalling.. it worked for like a day but went back to the same…on top of that when it was working my current location and my city had different weather..what a joke…they basically will not ever come up with solution and don’t care.. I like that the weather app is so compatible with iPhone but it’s not worth having a nonfunctional app wasting memory..I’m so fed up.. I got screenshot of issues but apparently you can’t upload… I am deleting app and going to look for other options.. I suggest if you have issues delete yours.. hopefully they can tell a decline and actually work on a resolve…and it’s funny you can’t actually delete because it will always be on you’re phone… it’s basically Apples way of controlling you and telling how it is… and if you want their phones you have to do what they say...Version: 1.7

Lose the useless stuffFirst, the bar on each line. I am perfectly capable of imagining how warm it is or will be based on the temperature, I don’t need a visual representation. This bar actually annoys me enough to consider switching to another app. Second, why is the first line under hourly temperatures ‘Today’?! In the previous version it showed the following day, which makes more sense. I already know what the weather is today, it’s in the ‘hourly’ section! Third, why does a whole precipitation map show up as soon as a few drops fall, and takes up so much valuable space? If you must include it, then put it under the 10-day forecast not above. And the Next Hour forecast that pops up right at the top when it rains: I don’t need to know exactly how much rain is going to fall over the next 15 minutes. All this info might be useful for some but all I want is to see the temperature & conditions now (a simple rainy cloud gives me a good idea, no details needed!) and the next few days at a glance. At least make the app customizable so that I can choose what info beyond the basic I want to see..Version: 1.6

Dark Sky was much better. They’ve bought Dark Sky and ruined it. The interface for Dark Sky is far more intuitive than the Apple Weather app and this App does not even include my current location, only a nearby city 10-15 away. The beauty of Dark Sky was that it told me the chance of rain and wind at my location. What’s the point of telling it’s raining 15km away? Weather is more localised. I want to see the hourly graphs like Dark Sky. I want to see arrows with wind direction. I want to see the precipitation radar every time I open the app, I don’t want to have to keep switching from the temperature map which is unimportant. Terrible design from the Apple UI cronies that doesn’t understand what people actually want from a weather app. Just a generic copy of every other weather app out there. Dark Sky is NOT fully integrated into the Apple Weather App. This is an app for US customers, the rest of the world just get a generic version with generic nervy cities. Apple have ruined the best weather app on iOS (Dark Sky) by purchasing and dismantling it. Edit: 2023 — Why are there dark blocks over the radar with missing data? Dark sky got the radar right… Apple Weather it’s a joke, missing data and fading blended animations that don’t show the proper rain movement..Version: 1.8

Why is it worseSo apply bought dark sky. Great! Why are we getting a worse experience then. Dark sky has so many great features. Yea it had its problems; however it had so many strengths v. Apple weather, thus why I spent the money to purchase the app. Now Apple is shutting down the app in 2023 without implementing the things about Darksky that mad it so great. I don’t care what the the projected volume of rain is going to be per day. What is the hourly chance of precipitation. As someone who is ing to ride their bike more it’s been immensely helpful to figure out my daily commute by seeing the hourly precipitation rate. The Apple weather app is basically useless for anyone not living in Cupertino.Version: 1.8

When will it rain? Darksky would have known.I had darksky for years and recommended it to others. I loved how as soon as I opened the app, I could see when and how much it was going to rain. That’s the main reason most of us look at the weather right? The visuals were appealing and it was simple to use, hyperlocal to my specific location and pretty accurate. The Weather app doesn’t easily show me this in the first second of opening, I have to tap around. It has sucked the soul out of a beautiful app and “applefied” it, complicating the interface and destroying its simplicity. As of April 2023, the Weather app has completely stopped working for me showing the location and “— —“ on a blank screen. Restarting and uninstalling the app doesn’t help, and when I try to report an issue is says the app is not connecting to the internet. (I have working wifi.).Version: 1.8

Well this weather app certainly isn’t correct at allEll this weather app certainly isn’t correct at all considering that it’s raining in my area or location and this app is saying that it’s not raining our showers well so much for the Australian government saying that they care about cybersecurity considering that the government website for bureau of meteorology isn’t even remotely protected by security measures because it shows a warning symbol for unsafe and it doesn’t say much about the overall security and safety of even this app because it is linked to it.Version: 1.9

SighI guess the weather reports are ok, they are after all just computer algorithms. But for me the animated precipitation maps rarely display properly, either loading very slowly and patchily, or not loading at all. For a few days this week they worked brilliantly, but then today back to the same old lousy loading. The animated visual rain maps, radar and radar forecasts, are the part of the weather display I rely on the most, giving you an instant snapshot of what’s happening and about to happen. It would make the Apple weather app the best out there if this feature only worked as it is supposed to work..Version: 1.9

Dark Sky at home - Bring back the Time MachineThis app is trash compared to the amazing one Apple bought and ruined. Competition used to make Apple thrive, the current weather app is proof that they now would rather purchase and eliminate their competitors rather than provide a better product. Not only is the weather data less accurate than it was before the transition, it’s missing entire features that I and many other users gladly paid $10 to use. The “Time Machine” tool allowed you to look at any past day and what the weather was like as well as jump forward as far as you want for a rough prediction. That feature I definitely miss the most but the map is also a gas station version of what Dark Sky had. You have to have the city added in order to view the weather data bubble which is annoying if you travel a lot because you’re only given 20 location slots. Also I have friends all over the world, sometimes I like to see what the weather is like and I shouldn’t have to add the location or switch to Google every time I want to do that. Apple really needs to fix this but it probably won’t. It’s all about quick profit. The free groundbreaking features that made the company special and set apart are now overlooked, outdated, and updated to meet expectations not exceed them. There is so much potential with this app so I hope they improve it to what Dark Sky once was at the very least..Version: 1.9

Not Dark SkyIOS Weather app is not as useful or reliable as Dark Sky was. People may wrongly assume that since Apple bought Dark Sky two years ago that the underlying forecast data must be the same, but others have shown that it’s not the case. There are numerous reports of forecast data or even current conditions being reported inaccurately now in ways that weren’t possible with Dark Sky previously. Also, Apple please remove the giant current temperature bubble laying on top of the radar map obscuring a significant portion of the territory surrounding the user which they are trying to see. The current temperature is already reported in multiple other places and is not relevant for the primary means of reviewing possible precipitation. Additionally, what’s with the temperature bars Apple?!? It took some digging to figure out what those were even meant to be. UX fail. They are fairly useless in current form. My initial assumption was that they were meant to visually show the temperature gradient throughout the 24 hours of that day, which could be much more useful. But even better would be a precipitation gradient since we can already see the high and low for the day..Version: 1.8

Dark Sky GoneStarting the new year with Dark Sky no longer working. I know the Apple Weather App is suppose to integrate with Dark Sky. I was hopeful that maybe it would be better than Dark Sky. The Apple App has implemented some of Dark Sky’s features but not nearly all of them. There new interface is not nearly as easy to navigate as Dark Sky was. Two of the most important features that are lacking are the ability to go back like a time capsule and look at weather in the past. I am a fisherman and like to record the details of my day fishing including the weather temps cloud cover and pressure and wind speed and gusts. Usually I never had the time to do this until the next day or sometime a week or more. I also had an alarm setup with Dark Sky whenever the days wind forecast predicted winds 15 mph or greater. Using this I would then decide to go fishing or not. It’s sad and frustrating when a big company takes over smaller innovative companies and then doesn’t make improvements and actually goes backwards. Why didn’t you just change the name of Dark Sky to your Weather App name and use there much better interface along with better features ? Da! Frustrating..Version: 1.8

Still not as good as dark skyAs you my know apple bought dark sky and have added some of the features to this weather app. They are apparently going to shut up sky at the end of 2022. But here is why I still use dark sky over this. Dark sky will tell you the week ahead and what % chance it will be raining .. Apple has also added this but on dark sky for instance of it says there is a 85% chance of rain tomorrow I can click on that day and it will tell me what time it will be raining and when it will stop. Ok so maybe not 100% accurate but it’s very close most of the time. All apple weather will tell me is it will rain tomorrow. Also dark sky lets you add alerts for things like “tell me if the temperature will drop below -1 over night. Doesn’t sound like much but when you have tropical plants that might need protection at -1 or -10 it can save you being caught out by a cold snap, it can also be used for if you want to keep you windscreen clear of ice if you have a 5am start and don’t want to be clearing it off first thing. If you want this to be as good as dark sky then add in these extra features apple !.Version: 1.6

Where is the Dark Sky functionality? After years of correcting my family and friends inaccurate weather forecasts because I was using Dark Sky and they were using the Weather App, I am now going to be forced to join them. Apple says the Dark Sky functionality has been combined into their app, but where is the hour by hour for future days and the ability to switch between temp, precip and wind? And where is the “rain starting (or ending) in x minutes” functionality? Dark Sky was popular with people who do outdoor activities, like cycling or water sports, because what matters is not just the chance of rain in a given day, but when it might happen. If I’m planning an outdoor activity, 50% rain chance on Saturday tells me almost nothing. If the rain is happening at 1 AM, I have nothing to worry about. If it’s predicted around midday, I might. The weather app, like not forecasting media, is designed to get you to keep coming back - the 50% chance means you’re refreshing constantly to see if it’s changed. Dark Sky is designed to help you make plans and stay safe (heavy rain starting in 35 minutes might give you time to get under cover before a thunderstorm) - and to time your activities (the rain chance is in the PM, I’ll go kayaking in the AM or the wind will pick up in the mid afternoon - perfect time to go sailing). Now I have to find some other weather app. Unless they keep their promise and bring over the functionality..Version: 1.8

DefaultnsettingAlways defaults to Toronto. Want mu location on screen.Version: 1.9

Weather wrongMy weather app is telling me it’s going to be sunny in the middle of the night from 12am till 6am. I live in NZ..Version: 1.9

Okay but has a problemI don’t think this is the best app to get for the weather because it’s not very accurate because sometimes is says it’s gonna be raining at a certain time then it completely doesn’t and I get really confused by that so I was wondering if you could fix that in any way you can but other then that it’s fine.Version: 1.9

Subpar & *dangerous* to healthSome of the backgrounds being used by Weather currently can pose dangerous health risks. Either there needs to be a warning placed, or customers need to be able to change backgrounds in the app-or both. Perhaps this can already be done, and I am just unaware, (I searched & could not find ) but - the ‘new developers’ *need* to know that there can be serious health emergencies involved with some of these aesthetic improvements. It’s simply not safe. For example, I have noticed, for instance, that during a storm, The background simulates vivid, bright lightning, producing an almost light-strobe effect. It does this without giving the user health warnings before viewing and/or using the app. It may not seem like much to most people, but for those who have seizures, brain trauma, migraines, or sensory sensitivity problems, etc. - it can cause dire and emergent consequences. I implore the developers - ***please consider the health of your users!*** ((Not to mention that these ‘improved’ aesthetics aren’t worth the loss of functionality that has come with the overall death of Dark Sky, anyway. Even if there were no risks, I’d still trade so-called lightning effects for more original app integration any day. But that’s not the overall point here.)).Version: 1.8

EmbarrassingUpdate following watchOS 10: I’m suffering from the complications not updating issue and Apple’s purported fixes do not work. The list of cities doesn’t even match any more between my phone and watch. I rarely ask for updates to be rolled back, I usually believe iterative improvements will eventually get software where it needs to be, but with this one all I can say is: BRING BACK DARK SKY. PLEASE. Doesn’t load data reliably and hasn’t for weeks. This has knock on effects, eg shortcuts won’t work if they call from the weather app, and because of the way Apple Watch complications refresh I’ve been in multiple situations where my watch face displayed erroneous data for an extended period, with no way for me to gauge its accuracy without opening up the weather app to check that it’s refreshing. As a former Dark Sky user the difference is stark, Dark Sky never once let me down – a small indie outfit did a better job of this than Apple. Displaying accurate weather data is the sole functional requirement of a weather app so this is extremely poor..Version: 1.9

Not accurateThis is not very accurate.Version: 1.9

NOT up to date!Woke up to snow from calgary to drumheller area covered in snow. No warning and app shows 0 precep in the last 24 hrs. No wonder people get stuck in storms..Version: 1.9

Failed Dark Sky IntegrationApple have done a terrible job integrating Dark Sky. None of the features you’d expect as a power user of Dark Sky have been brought across. For example, the hourly rain chart only appears if you set your location to London. It won’t work for your Current Location even though you are in London. They have also ignored hourly forecasts for the week ahead. So you won’t know what time it might rain tomorrow, only that there is an X% chance of rain applied to the whole day. They have also removed hourly wind and direction - a key metric for the cyclists of the UK, and I’m sure other outdoor enthusiasts. I’ll be looking for an alternative. Thanks for making my life hard out of the blue, like you always do, Apple..Version: 1.8

Absolutely uselessThis app is completely inaccurate and not useful at all. It has been raining all day today and yet the app says partly cloudy! The Weather Network app has it correctly, noting that there are light showers all day. Also, the radar feature is very glitchy and will not show the precipitation maps correctly..Version: 1.9

Weather App unusable on the iPadI use Dark Sky as my go-to weather app, I was disappointed to see Apple intend to shut it down at the end of 2022, they suggest using the Apple Weather App which has been “enhanced” by Dark Sky’s forecast technology, they also give a link to the “enhanced” app. Sadly, on following the link with my one year old iPad (running up-to-date iOS) I am told this App requires specific features this device does not have! No hint of what these features might be or whether there will be an alternative Apple app that will fill the gap left by my perfectly functional Dark Sky app. The Apple Weather App cannot be downloaded to the iPad. I assume I will have to use an inferior app provided by a third party developer who will no doubt hound me to upgrade to the paid-for version every time I try to check the forecast..Version: 1.8

Garbage accuracy- Not Dark SkyI used dark sky for years. It was insanely accurate and useful. At the new year dark sky was discontinued and “incorporated” into this app. At least that’s what was promised. Many of the features dark sky offered are here but zero accuracy. 3 separate days in one week this app said absolutely zero percent chance of rain everywhere. All three days it was pouring rain throughout the entire metro area… that level of inaccuracy says to me that only features of dark sky were incorporated. And absolutely zero accuracy. I cannot express my frustration enough. If I could rate this zero stars I would. Any developer or company associated with this should be embarrassed. The features mean nothing when the apps weather forecast is more often wrong then right. And not by a small margin of error either- an old neighbor on the porch looking at the sky would be 100% more accurate regardless of the region or rapid weather changes. My two year old can do a better job guessing the weather as he eats his toast and yogurt in the morning. I’ve NEVER been as disappointed in an app as I am with this was. Especially considering the promises made regarding dark sky. If I had employees that do totally failed on delivering promises to clients on such an impressively epic level such as this- they wouldn’t be employees for long..Version: 1.8

Please update imagesI wish this app had an image for when it was raining and windy at the same time, instead of just seeing windy all day and being surprised by rain. Otherwise generally good, just highly inconvenient putting the washing out in a city thats always windy..Version: 1.9

Where's the iPadOS and macOS apps? And why did you buy Darksky just to shut it down and continue using the inferior Weather Channel sources? Also the watchOS app is so bad I end up using my phone instead..Version: 1.6

Inaccurate, basic, annoying. Bring back Dark SkiesUpdate: I’m still giving this 1 star. My main reason is that the location name is incorrectly saved. I live in NYC which has 5 boroughs and many neighborhoods within each borough. There are micro climates in this large city in each neighborhood. It could be thunderstorming in one neighborhood and sunny in another. When I search for my neighborhood, the app finds it. I click on it to save, and when it’s saved, the location is saved as “New York” rather than the neighborhood name. Aside from being unhelpful, I’m unable to save multiple neighborhoods as shortcuts because they all would be saved as “New York.” This would not have happened in dark skies. I know that Apple claims that it uses data from Dark Skies to power this Weather App, but why is it so terribly inaccurate then? It’s thunderstorming hard in my neighborhood in NYC right now and this app is telling me the skies are clear. Yet Dark Skies is correctly telling me that it’s thunderstorming. What I really dislike about this Weather app is that it only gives you some inaccurate rough approximation of weather whereas a dark Skies gives you an exact hyper local weather forecast. I will lament the day when Dark Skies goes away in 2023. Annoying..Version: 1.8

Red sun update is horribleI like the hour-by-hour sun-cloud-rain indicator at the very top. It’s simple and visually easy to see if it’s going to rain … and if I should bring the washing in. However the latest update has changed the sun image to RED, and it’s now almost impossible to see the image and flick through the hours. Just change it back immediately PLEASE to yellow!.Version: 1.8

Extremely inaccurateThis app has become unbelievably inaccurate. It now regularly misrepresents the weather in my area. For example - it could be pouring with rain whilst the app simply says “partly cloudy”. My wife and I will regularly get different weather reports on this same app with the same iPhone model used in the same location… her phone would say “sunny with no chance of rain” whereas mine would say “cloudy with 50%chance of showers”. On the same app?? I recommend the BOM app if you’re in Australia. Much better data integrity. It’s just a shame Apple only uses this app on its Apple Watch so I can’t use my BOM app on my watch for more accurate weather. A bit anti-competitive there Tim Cook….Version: 1.8

Dark sky ending not happy then read onOk like me your here to give feedback your unhappy that dark sky app will be withdrawn well instead I discovered, go to weather app click menu on bottom right of screen then the 3 dots on the top right of screen. The clock on report an issue, now scroll to the bottom and give feedback instead telling them what you’d like to see. So far I’ve asked for the some of the best things about dark sky to be incorporated same notification sound, the same much better searching database of place names, I’ve explained the issue of the user interface being horrible for avid dark sky app users so and here is the kicker I asked if we could have a toggle switch to change to a dark sky user interface so we can switch back on forth from the weather app to dark sky mode would that not be cool. Go do this and maybe the developers will listen if we ask hard enough..Version: 1.8
