I Love Hue for Negative User Reviews

Too many adsSTILL too many ads and some of them randomly play sound at top volume even when my phone is muted. Thanks for making what should have been a relaxing pre-sleep game an absolute nightmare. Playing this in flight mode from now on, until you sort yourselves out. Would rate zero stars after that experience if I could. 2017 review: Cute concept, but there are other apps that are cheaper or with less advertising on the free version..Version: 1.1.14

A great game ruined by excessive monetisationA great game unfortunately muddied by a 50/50 play-to-ad ratio. In itself that isn’t too bad; I appreciate the choice between an ad experience and the option to remove ads for money, a kind of try before you buy thing that a lot of games do. But on top of that, there’s the time-based currency that you can’t play any levels without, and the game suggests you buy with real money to keep playing, or wait an entire day to get a measly five more levels. I find it really gross to force BOTH types of monetisation, and it kinda ruins the experience for me. It’s unnecessary and greedy, which is unfortunate because the game itself is very nice..Version: 1.2.6

Forces you to pay to playAlso too many ads which don't exit with cross but take you to site anyway.Version: 1.1.3

Great game but prisms are awfulThe game is great and I am having a ton of fun playing. My issue is that you have to “pay” 3 prisms to play a level. You get 15 prisms for free each day and you can watch an add for an additional 12. It’s very easy to get lost in the game and want to play multiple levels but sometimes I don’t have enough prisms and I have to wait 24 hours. I am used to games making you wait 30 minutes or so for a life in order to keep playing but this prism system is ridiculous. Even more ridiculous is that you have to open the app in order to get your additional prisms. You don’t auto collect them. I’ve been wanting to play but I haven’t been since I want to collect prisms. This is a ridiculous attempt to get people to pay to play. If they reduced the time to something manageable then I’d give this 5 stars. But as of right now the prism system keeps this game from being above mediocre..Version: 1.1.10

Great! It’s awesome but I’ve used all my prisms and it won’t let me watch an add to get more :(.Version: 1.2.6

Held back by moneyGoing just off of gameplay, I think this is a pretty great game. It's aesthetically pleasing, fairly laid back, just generally a nice game to enjoy and relax playing. It's somewhat upsetting that it's tied to the prism system, because without it it would be a very easy recommendation for anyone looking for a simple puzzle game. The prism system ruins it because it prevents you from actually playing the game. You get 5 levels per day, plus another 4 for watching an ad, and beyond that you just have to stop for a day or spend money to play the game longer. You can't even return to previous levels without using prisms, so you can't even just replay what you've already beaten. It's a massive issue that holds the game back from really being enjoyable for longer than a couple minutes, and I can't really recommend it unless it gets removed..Version: 1.2.2

Good but stingy currency systemI love this game, it’s really unique and relaxing. But you need 3 triangles to play a level and once you run out you have to wait like 15 HOURS just to get 15. That’s like 5 levels every 15 hours. And you can’t always watch an ad to get them free. It just ends up putting you off the game and I end up forgetting about it for a while..Version: 1.2.6

Addictive game. Minor flawsVery rewarding to slowly move colors around to see a rainbow pattern emerge from a random field of jumbled color tiles. I sometimes have a problem seeing the tile under my fingers frequently on the levels with small pieces. Maybe dev could have an selected option to offset the tile to 1 inch away on iPhones with 3D Touch, and rotate 90 degrees each time you press hard. Also, I think you can’t exit a game to play another one unless you’ve completed the current one. This seems like it would be a frustrating issue at higher levels where the difference in hues are very slight. I imagine people with marginal screens would get stuck and they couldn’t change games. The main reason I’m giving it a 3 star rating is that after I paid $10 to purchase the game, I read the fine print which said that the money was for tokens to play the game, more or less. If I knew this was the deal, I would not have bought it. Very sneaky..Version: 1.2.2

Can't buy prismsHave made multiple tempts to buy prism packs but keep getting “connection error” message. Obviously there is no issue with the connection (simply because you’re able to read this message means the connection works)..Version: 1.2.6

Let me buy itThis is a beautiful app for colour lovers and for those who want to improve their colour skills. However, I’m not really interested in scoring points or getting silly tokens etc. I’d be quite happy to purchase an ad free game for a single fixed price. Can we just be adults?.Version: 1.2.2

Too many adsGreat game but ads appear way to often.Version: 1.2.6

Game’s good, but also a bit greedyAs far as the game itself is concerned, I enjoyed it. You get exactly what was advertised. It doesn’t require much brainpower, and is a nice, quiet way to chill. However, this game is kind of greedy. Save for the first ten levels, you have to spend a currency to unlock a level. There’re a variety of ways to earn that currency “free” (one of them is to watch an ad). You can also spend real money to get more, and also remove ads (though when I did it, my game immediately crashed, and I got nothing for my money, which seemed awfully convenient for a game without any apparent bugs). I could deal with all of this if it wasn’t for this: you have to pay your currency to REPLAY a level. It doesn’t ask for much, but it’s still a baffling detail to me. It’s so minor and easy to bypass, but the fact that it’s there just makes me wonder, “Why?”..Version: 1.2.1
