Interesting but disappointingThis app can share an amazing variety of information but it’s difficult to navigate and keeps locking up. I have to sign out and reboot my course frequently. Very bad for what i payNo landscape mode. You open app on split view and it closes and you will loose all that you typed. Opening on tablet just destroys the whole article. Cannot highlight, justify one paragraph without it affecting the previous paragraph. You have to reinvite people to any space you create and some cannot be bothered to reapply. The edit menu to highlight, change colour, sometimes comes under the normal copy paste menu so you can’t use it. Basically very bad text editor designed very badly. Images added also have a mind of their own and the options for images sometimes don’t work. You type something and go get a cup of tea, the app restarts on its own and you loose what you typed. Takes a long time to colour text etc and you justify something to the centre and the top paragraph also does so. Sometimes the articles do not come according latest first and finally had to just give up. Wasted the 1200 I have paid over two years.Version: 8.118.4

Nearly unusable with voiceoverI have struggled to use this app for weeks with very little success. Using voiceover I constantly lose position, swiping often loops options in 1 screen rather than scrolling to previous/next screens, 3 finger swiping up or down screens is buggy and I constantly end up on the first screen making finding replies etc hit and miss. Many settings are inaccessible using non-standard controls so I am unable to set up location and other such profile information. So much more is non standard that after hours and hours trying to get a minimum of access I have had to give up on this app totally. It’s great to see private social networks like this but truly sad that not one I have tried is decently accessible for people with blindness/low vision when Apple provide tons of information for willing progressive and inclusive developers..Version: 6.2.1

Please add memory to your app!!!Love this platform in many ways. It’s a deal breaker that every time you navigate anywhere or close anything that you lose your place. So frustrating. The new version crashes a lot. Again. And now there are even more problems!I am on the fence on whether or not I like the new version. For the purposes of the group I’m in, it’s not nearly as good as the old version. But that’s life - it’s probably grand for everyone else. But, it crashes almost every time I open it. That’s ridiculous. Fix it already. I’m on iphone 14 and the latest ios. It shouldn’t be crashing this regularly. Update : April 1, 2024 - the app still crashes almost every time I open it. But now, in addition to crashing, I notice some of the longer comments in posts are being concatenated. It shows the ellipses and it looks like you should be able to click to expand the comment but there is nothing to click and I have yet to find a way to expand the comment to see all of it. Also, the notifications area - I can’t click on some of the notifications. I can mark them all read but I can’t actually “read” them via clicking. 6-character password isn’t acceptedI joined the “Leaders of Aersomeness” community using a web browser on my desktop Mac. I created an account with a six-character password. I tried to connect to it through the “Mighty Networks” app on my iPhone. The app can find the community easily enough. I enter my EMail address and my six-character password. I get the error message “Minimum password length is 6” even though I just entered the correct six-character password - so I am unable to use the app. Also, I was unable to find a way to submit a bug report. I’m writing this review as a way to communicate the bug report to the developers. So I guess this is a second bug report that there is no good way (that I know of) for submitting bug reports..Version: 8.93.3

Disregard’s User PrivacyA podcast I follow recently suggested we listeners use this app to connect. I downloaded it for that. The most important issue I have with this app, above all UI or usability complaints is its lack of respect for my privacy. This app publicly posts your location by default, without asking or alerting the user’s attention. It bypasses Apple’s restrictions because it uses your device’s IP address to approximate your location instead of the location services api that Apple provides. If I were an Apple app reviewer, I’d remove this app from App Store for this reason until this action is stopped..Version: 5.5

Nearly useless on iPhoneI primarily use social media on my smartphone to keep my work at my desk separate from my more social activities, but Mighty Networks is terrible for that. I can rarely get the feed to update. Each time I open it, I get the buffering signal of death that doesn’t even spin because it’s frozen, too. The iPhone app is okay for checking event and other static information, but if you expect to actually communicate with other members or get real-time updates, that is not the way to go. My MN Community is supposed to add value to a professional development program I am in. It primarily adds frustration and disappointment..Version: 6.6.2

Continous chat freezing kills the batteryChat freezes regularly, I loose the texts I have sent. After relaunching the program, the same thing happens again and again which makes my iphone’s battery low in some hours. It kills the battery..Version: 6.8.5

Formatting.Overall I love this app. But the formatting is a nightmare, especially for the mobile app. For some reason it just extends the writing so you have to scroll left to right to read it, highly annoying reading one endless line, especially on the app (the website does the same thing). There is also an issue on the website where you can’t backspace a line unless you highlight it and delete, don’t know if it’s related. Please look into this..Version: 6.2.1

Photos app edits are distortedWhen uploading an edited photo from the photos app, it does not preserve the sharpness of text, the color saturations, or contrast/brightness. I understand if it has to be compressed or converted to Jpeg, but the color inaccuracies are awful. These are just instagram pics and internet memes mind you, not even dslr or raw images. Every time I try to share any 1:1 photo (instagram size) it likes to crop different parts off. Even if I try screen shotting to add black bars it crops off even more. Some photos are fine, but most end up cropped weird when it should fit totally fine..Version: 7.84.3

It does the basic job, but a few things need workIt works okay, but not being able to easily add more pictures, that we have to use article mode, and still the photos won’t go where we insert them, doesn’t make it very user friendly..Version: 7.1.3

Slow, hangs a lot and poor designI find my app very slow and it often hangs. What I dislike most is that it is so dark. There is a grey overlay on photos and quite honestly if your eyesight isn’t good (and mine isn’t) I don’t find it enjoyable to use. They might be trying to win members away from Facebook but, despite facebooks nefarious operations, it’s much better designed..Version: 5.8.1

Tech support gets a zero, the app gets a zeroI was informed by tech support that they are not allowed to call members. That’s unacceptable customer service/support. Who’s not allowed to call a customer? That tells me there’s something underhanded going on. As an Accountant I EXPECT to verbally communicate with our customers, vendors, CPA, and department heads within the first quarter of working at a business. If I don’t, I can assure you that someone’s hiding something. Esp. if the bank account(s) reflect large balances and the product isn’t in line with those balances. Accountants reconcile customers, vendors, credit cards, and bank accounts, (not limited to) on a monthly basis and this would include both paid or coupon discounted memberships. Treating a paid member different than coupon member would be discriminating; the only good use of that word is when shopping for a metal detector. Thank you for reading my review. Unsure of its an app error or my phoneI am unable to access the app the past 3 days, I press on it and it reverts back to home screen. Also why can't I access it with 4G I am only able to open when I can using wifi🤷‍♀️.Version: 8.96.0

OkayThis app is okay. I hate that posts get lost in my feed. I wish they all stayed in order of when they were posted and didn’t jumpy to the top when someone comments. And sometimes I get a notification that someone posts but I can’t find that post in my feed for days, if ever. The second thing I don’t like is that I told it to give me all notifications of my group but I only get them if they comment after me or like something I said. I’ll see a post days later that has 15 comments on it and I didn’t get a single notification that the conversation was even happening. When I say I want all notifications I mean it. This isn’t Facebook where there is so much garbage on it that weeding things out is necessary. The people in my group matter to me and I want to know everything they post because we are helping each other. Lastly, it is annoying that when I do go to see my notifications that the number doesn’t go away unless I push mark all read. It’s fine if they are highlighted still after I’ve looked at them but didn’t click on them. To still have the notification number is frustrating. I’ve obviously seen the list of notifications and if they stay highlighted when I haven’t clicked on them I could see which ones were still new if I needed to. But that number should go away. Basically I want this to be more like Band. I never lose stuff on band but this group I’m in chose the mighty network instead..Version: 7.7.19

Login issuesSo, I was given a link to join someone’s network. I was asked by Mighty to create an account and I did so, however, Mighty is not recognizing my password (I always copy and paste so no typos here). I asked for recovery and was sent a link to log in - but this link shows the hub for a second and then forwards me to account creation page, which complaints that this email is already in use. Vicious circle….Version: 8.149.15

Getting thereThere are a lot of glitches but if it worked the way it was supposed to it would be a really awesome platform. I've contacted support about the issue with switching accounts - it's not cool that users have to create new profiles for every single network they join and makes no sense. Certain aspects seem to change from day to day. Support responded to me by sending two emails at once: one that said please consult the help topics which I had before contacting them, and do not address the issue at all, and the other that said they were closing my issue because it was resolved, which it wasn't! I often am not able to access a session in a course because it is randomly locked or says its deleted or that I have to complete previous sessions which all show as complete. If these glitches could be fixed by the developer it would be AWESOME!.Version: 6.9.1

No Longer Worth It Features Taken Does Not WorkI was on board early when MN offered reasonable plans and great features. They’ve taken away all plans but Business for $396 a month or year(doesn’t specify when you go to upgrade)!!!! No more support! No features! Just a dysfunctional social feed 😡If I could I would deactivate or delete account. Can’t even do that because Network Setting Feature is gone. This app is slow to load hard to navigate and TOTALLY USELESS NOW. For those using this platform as a social community (not selling content) it is WORTHLESS. All features have been removed that made it worthwhile. What is up with MN that they use us early members to build their business then screw us over and go from less than $20 a month for great usable features and take away everything after we have spent weeks/months/years building content and getting people to join. InaccessibleI am incredibly disappointed in the lack of consideration for disabled users in the design of this app or the browser-based version. This has prevented me from engaging with a professional network that adopted this app for comms - particularly frustrating when they’re a network promoting inclusion. I know they raised these access concerns with you some time ago, but there’s been no improvement in the app’s accessibility. The text is tiny and the colour contrast between text and background is poor. There are no accessibility options within the app to change font size and, although I have Large Text enabled on my iPhone, this app does t have dynamic text, so the font remains stubbornly small. It is so important that app and website designers learn about how they can make their work accessible to everyone and embed accessibility in at the design stage. Nearly 1 in 4 people in the UK are disabled, so that’s a lot of people to ignore!.Version: 8.149.15

Impossible to read a threadIn a discussion thread with lots of replies, the app shows a link like “PREVIOUS REPLIES 9.” If you tap it, it takes you to the LAST of the replies, not the first. On a phone screen, it means your place is lost. You need to scroll up to find the first of the 9 replies, which is not the same as the very first reply. It’s as if the developers don’t want you to read long threads. This bug makes the app a total fail for me. I contacted them and they said this problem was not on their todo list. No mention of “oh we’ll look into it,” or anything like that. Which shows the contempt they treat users with..Version: 7.3

Scalability issuesNice app, runs smooth, hasn’t crashed or hung. But the reason for the 3 stars is simple, none of the text or images are scalable, so for someone with visual problems it makes it hard to read, and the layout is hectic at best. Where Apple has succeeded very well is their attention to accessibility, Mighty Networks have strangled low vision accessibility by removing the ability to do a simple scalability with its text and images. I hope this can be resolved in a future update, otherwise it’s a fantastic bit of coding.Version: 6.9.1

Worst app and customer supportGuess what? Once this app is installed on one device, you cannot use it on another. Or any of the apps that use their platform. So if you ever change your phone, that’s it. It just keeps loading forever without any progress. It doesn’t matter that the apps have been deleted from everywhere else. It doesn’t matter how many times they are being reinstalled. Nothing. Worse than that is the support provided. I am pasting a message below, sent to me by them in response to my complaint. Nothing else has been done for a month now. The best part is that the message is from a mailbox which dies not accept incoming mail. Here is the message: “ Hello Gancho, Yeah, that’s an issue. The team has this on their radar and is working on a solution. We’ll follow up when there’s more information to share, consider us on the case. Best, Mariana’.Version: 8.90.0

Channel newsfeeds need chronological view option. algorithm is poorly suited. NeedIt’s very difficult to keep up with posts. We need chronological storing to ensure we don’t miss content on this platform. Current algorithm might work for other uses but is a big problem in iron council. Need bigger fonts!Love the info and how many options there are — but the threads are so tiny it’s hard for my eyes! Wish there was a way to make the size larger. Also wish the threads were like comments on Instagram, where you could reply directly to the each comment above. It’s hard to go back and respond to a comment in real time once a thread gets going. Also wish you could differentiate the different groups with more ease. We need the folks who design Apple to work on this app and make it prettier and easier for users! I do like how you can imbed photos and links into comments. Keep working on this and it will be awesome!.Version: 8.85.3

NotificationsThis section is terrible, only one option “mark all as read” Seriously! How about allowing the user scroll through and mark them as read. Also, no way to delete notifications, should be able to click on them and select delete either one or multiple notifications. The colour scheme being used to show which notifications have been previously clicked on is really poor. Rest of the app is put together fairly well, with only a few oddball GUI behaviours..Version: 8.134.18

My thoughts after 4 years as an owner of a Mighty NetworkI’ve earned well over $500,000 USD on my network with the business plan. Not saying this to boast, but to indicate that I’ve got the experience with MN to make some observations. Overall, the platform is very good. I’m not certain that I would have chosen MN if I’d known four years ago what I know now. My #1 complaint is that MN absolutely sucks at informing hosts of networks about things that matter. Case in point: I just found out that there was an update for the app when I opened the App Store. My #2 grumble is that MN constantly has glitches. There’s never not something that’s not working as it should. #3 MN is 100% committed to getting hosts to spend more money. These three are intertwined. When we launched on MN, the staff seemed to be interested in helping hosts build enduring communities. That all changed a couple of years ago when they started to focus on getting hosts to upgrade to increasingly expensive plans, buying “Community Building,” courses, and making ridiculous claims about how easy it was to make buckets of money. For example, “six figure summer.” MN feels like a marketing scheme where staff don’t care much about the quality of their product. Reminds me of when my parents got sucked into selling Amway back in the eighties. But here’s the thing: it’s actually a good product. Like that Amway laundry detergent. If they would do better at communicating with hosts and improve coding to fix the incessant glitches, which would require redirecting their energy away from the MLM vibes, it could be great..Version: 8.130.5

User perspectiveSeems like a reasonable app so far for creating an online networking space. I’m admittedly still getting use to the interface, but one glaring issue is that the app is very finicky about going into landscape mode on my iPhone X, even for the exact same content. Sometimes I can turn the phone and get landscape on particular content, sometimes not. No other app has this issue so my hardware isn’t really in question. And I couldn’t find anywhere within the app to contact the developers to submit a bug report..Version: 8.98.2

Super slow and buggyI’m using the platform for a series of classes and resources that I am subscribed to and while the content itself is great the platform is pretty terrible. It’s super slow to open, I can’t go to content connected to the notifications, and it’s been so hard to just get the app to function smoothly. For several days the app wouldn’t open and it wasn’t because I didn’t update my phone or the app. Days later the app was updated and then it immediately stopped working smoothly again. Confusing and glitchyGranted I was forced to download this app in order to use a group I get access to from my paid subscription I have. However this app is not easy to navigate and I ended up just never using the group I partly pay for due to how difficult it is to learn and navigate. Largely good video support for live less soReally need to work out their video support not everything is a mobile and they seem only focused on providing mobile not tablet support. Also the chat going up the screen in videos ala Snapchat or fb live is hugely distracting and poor ux when the content is much more focused on individual groups not just fire and forget social media things..Version: 7.7.23

User experiencesUnfortunately our experience to date as a space user has been very poor. We have had many issues to note here . Failed to provide refundI cancelled this subscription before my free trial ended and was still charged. After receiving a refund and confirming that I had cancelled my subscription, I was charged a second time a month later. They have now failed to reply to all of my attempts to get a refund for the second charge. Problems with the basicsI use this app to access course material and community chat for Sktchy, which sells drawing and painting courses. Just getting to my courses with this app is very frustrating, taking five or six clicks. I have to do a lot of work to remember and find the last module of a class I was viewing, and when I get there it doesnt remember how far through the class video I was. If I've been watching an hour long class, and wasn't able to view it in one sitting it just resets the video back to the beginning again and I have to figure out for myself how far I got. So the navigation is really confusing and hierarchical, personal content like classes feel really buried and it doesn't do a good job of remembering my progress..Version: 7.7.10

Video player needs workA pretty good app if sometimes fiddly to navigate. The video player is awful though. It doesn’t go full screen and there are no playback controls whatsoever. I have to go to the website to watch the videos which makes the app kind of redundant..Version: 8.128.22

Read This Before Using...Honestly, the network itself is great! I did my test run with a domain I owned taking advantage of everything the forum has to offer. I enjoyed the loading times, the fast and reliable site on mobile, as well as the features it has. Honestly, at first glance many would see this as a gold mine! Too quick to realize tho how limited your power is.. - Lack of capability to remove/hide sections of the network. - Lack of capability to make a simpler/less complicated community. - Remove unneeded elements The network is great! But a big chunk of what makes it so great can also be what makes it terrible. Many of my users find the network complicated and not easy to navigate. This shouldn’t be the case. It’s okay if one sets up a network to have all these features but maybe have the freedom to decide what he/she wants and what he/she doesn’t want you know? Just my opinion but please go back and give us as admins access to “hiding” some of the functionalities at least :)..Version: 5.4.2

Very BuggyI just tried to click on the notifications and none of them are clickable. I cannot click on comments to see what people have replied to me with. Really defeats the purpose of bringing people together. I have the most updated version too. And I don’t see any clear option to report bugs in the app. Quite disappointed..Version: 8.120.2

Close but...I love the concept, but it really needs a free option in which you can set your group to “closed” — I’d love to start my group on here and grow it entirely on this platform but I don’t have a startup budget for that and offering your community privacy is pretty essential to building trust. Also, I don’t think it’ll be able to effectively rival fb or similar platforms unless they add at least an option for a light color scheme (not black base) and smaller text, that you can separate from the images. A lot of visual clutter as it is now, though it’s flashy and “different.” But people won’t be as drawn to browsing it in the long run. It’s hard for me to spend much time in my groups as is. Simpler and lighter color scheme options would be a great step! And overall, it’s a great platform. I only offer my criticism because I think it could really be a game changer if tweaked and optimized! It’s past time for another social media option, and this one has great features..Version: 5.8.1

But the updates are getting more annoying especially when changes are made without announcements and with no improvements offered! Calendar sync is not supported now and that’s crazy. How are we going to stay on top of everything? Multiple hashtag doesn’t work either — only the first hashtag has recommendations. Why?? And chat has been as native as possible. Don’t waste your timeI had to join Sktchy Drawing School and they are using this app for their network with students. This is very frustrating as after 5th attempts I still can’t find my posts. It is extremely slow and confusing. As an IT person I can tell that this is not a user friendly system to use. Change it back?I spent a solid 10 minutes trying to figure out how to provide this feedback without giving a one star rating. There does not seem to be a way. I am a user of Mighty networks app as a subscriber to a community that hosts its content there. I find it a little bit fussy, specifically in the manner which new posts load, and what is hidden, but that’s not my main complaint. they used to have a really pleasant aqua color app icon and fun load screen. Keep getting locked outI like the interface of this app but it keeps locking me out of lessons from a network that I pay a monthly membership for. It’s getting worse over time and I am totally frustrated. Even MN couldn’t fix it. I do not recommend this app for developers of networks.Version: 8.120.2

I so so so want this to be great, but...The idea is fantastic to help creators move away from Facebook groups and into branded uninterrupted networks. However unfortunately the navigation between different sections of the app is not intuitive, and there is little breathing room for the community to establish itself and the way it works before you’re thrown right into an overwhelming feed of ‘stuff’. This makes the experience really hard to use and engage with the audience. I would also suggest showing previews of the first couple of comments under a post and not having them hidden behind a tiny chat icon..Version: 6.9.1

Needs WorkThe potential for a great APP is there, but as it stands, Mighty Network is confusing for the average user to use. Even advanced social media people are finding it difficult to navigate. That being said, I would not use it to replace my current social networks, and I would definitely NOT try to get my entire following on it. The frustration alone would get many people frustrated, and leave. It needs a lot of work and updates before I would trust it with my people. There’s also kinks when you register via FB, and then try to download your network to your app- there’s a disconnect..Version: 4.8.4

Horrible for Users with DisabilitiesThis app needs major accessibility improvements. The developer keeps saying they are "noted feature requests". 25% of the country has a disability of some kind. I love the group I'm a part of, but it's almost impossible to use with Voiceover. It's an exercise in frustration and I'm an accessibility professional. I always reach out first because I don't think angry reviews are the best path to resolution but the lack of responsiveness over the past year-and-a-half I've been using it is unacceptable. Accessibility does not have to be hard. Accessibility is a right, not a "feature request". Do better..Version: 7.7.13

Used to be good but not anymore!This service used to be pretty good and support was right on top of things. It appears they have grown and bugs have worked their way into the network and support takes days to answer now. Push notifications are slow or don’t work at all now and there are bugs with posting times. You work hard to build your network only to let your subscribers down due to very poor buggy performance. The CEO manages to find plenty of time to post political statements on Twitter though while the network continues to let us down over and over again. Huge disappointment for us and we are looking elsewhere now..Version: 7.1.3

Update problems?Updated as required but now it doesn’t even open. The app was working fine before. Frustrating. Now what?.Version: 8.97.1
