✓ Good over all...butI really like the app for the most part , I use the free version and it lets you do a lot of things and that’s great but... The only things that are bothering me is that annoying little yellow sign that says “remove limit” that won’t go away no matter what I do and it’s getting in the way of the video, and when I go on big screen the sign is still there and sound seems to stop, I don’t want to buy the pro version because to be honest I can’t afford it. ✓ Great App**To update. There’s a major problem with the time synchronization of the chroma key feature. I’ve created, multiple times, a backing video to use with a chroma key video. Both videos have been time aligned to the same audio track. Yet when combining the videos through chroma key the timing is up to 10 seconds off in spots. But not consistently. I’m looking for a different app now as I can’t find a solution through this one. So I love this app! I used to to edit an entire music video on my iPhone SE and it came out great. The features are powerful and it’s very intuitive. There’s only two real problems that I’ve been experiencing. First, I wish I could lock clips into place on the timeline. It would make it much easier to A/B different clips and B-roll during editing, instead of how it’s currently set where the next clip plays directly after. So if I delete a five second clip, instead of five seconds of white space my entire video from that point on is 5seconds out of time. Lastly, and it may be a user issue, but I cannot get the phone to upload this video anywhere in anything higher than 360p. Does it export in 360?.Version: 6.2

✓ I love this app. There is just one thing to improve.This app is very good for simple editing and is easy to use. I love how you can use Ken’s burns on videos as well as photos because it helps for my thriller videos to build suspense so I am happy about that. It is very easy to make cool slideshows just takes a second to load the photos you want on it and is easy to add music and cool transitions. No ads which is very good for me because I don’t like ads as they distract me and frustrate me a bit (even though I completely understand why you need them). Overall a great app. One thing you could work on is the chroma key because I would like to use green screen but I can’t get the “pro” version of this so I am a bit sad about that. But it is a great app and you should try it out. Edit: It keeps crashing when I put a minute long clip in it. Even though I duplicate it as it tells me to. ✓ Best I’ve Found, Still Hoping for MoreI’m on my 2nd year now of paying for this subscription. I found this app because I was annoyed with some of iMovie’s limitations, but wanted a good editing app for my phone. This has overall been an amazing app, but I am very frustrated with a few things: 1. There’s no option to duplicate illustrations, drawings, and other things in that category. 2. There’s no option to zoom in for edits. I’m trying to edit about 100 screen recording videos on my phone, but it won’t let me zoom in or flip to a portrait viewing even though I have selected that I want to make a portrait video so I am working with about 1”x2” of screen space. 3. When I want to edit text and drawings, it won’t let me type in a number for the size that I want the text or drawing. I have to press the down and up arrows for a minute until it gets to the size I want, and then with the illustrations it won’t let me make anything smaller than 20%. 4. At the moment I’m trying to edit something in the uppermost portion of the screen, but the video time stamp is hovering over the spot I want to edit. All of these problems I’m sure would be much easier to work with on an iPad, but I don’t have an iPad and I don’t see why these things would be difficult to change or add more options in settings. Overall I love this app, and I’m hoping that someone could make a few changes..Version: 7.7.1

✓ Easy to use, good functionality, very stable. Would recommendI needed to create a one off video for my son to demonstrate domino toppling to his cubs. This app was very easy to use and had a remarkable amount of functionality in the free version. The slow motion was very effective with the domino toppling. The free version has a logo on the bottom right corner but I accept that as I didn't pay for it. It also doesn't have free backing tracks although you can use itunes if you have any. I will probably pay for music as the app is well worth paying them a bit of money and if I ever need to create another video in the future, it will be good to have. Some of the other reviews mentioned crashing and speed, but I didn't have any issues on my iPad Pro. It was remarkably fast. The only down side is that when you move the videoes, the titles don't move with them.Version: 6.1.1

✓ Great app!I use this app to make gacha videos. With what I use, it works really well. I can easily load my iTunes music onto my video and I can change the time pretty easily too. I only have a couple have issues with it. The loading time takes forever! If you have a lot of pics like I do most of the time, it could take a good 5 minutes or so. I don’t like how the lowest time limit is 0.5 when it could be a little lower than that. Half a second may seem quick but when you TRY and work on even the tiny details, you might need a quick flash of a pic. Another thing is how big the watermark is. I understand that the watermark is there for a reason and that I can simply remove it with pro, but I’m a broke teenager who needs to save for a car. The watermark takes up a good portion of the corner too. It would be slightly better is it were clear. Luckily the watermark is in the unused corner. No text will be there. My sister got married recently and she wanted a video of her husband and her to show at the party we held and for it to be played to a specific song. This app allowed me to have photos last for very specific times, add lyrics at precise moments and time them also which was crucial to keep in time with the singer. Can’t wait for the next project! I purchased the one month Pro version for the wonderful added benefits (layers of music, writing, photo-on-photo,etc) so I didn’t miss any details for this special gift. Through using it, I only found one thing that made the process of making the video, tedious. If I wanted to edit a photo/video (like changing the display time) it would automatically zoom the picture in. So just make sure you get all your pictures set first, next put them in the order you want, then add your text (and PIN IT TO THE CLIP!), finally you add your music and playback to check timing and flow. I loved using this app!!! It allowed me to make a 30 minute movie, showering my grandmother with birthday wishes all over the country and brought back memories for her. I later took snippets from the party and made a thank you video to send to everyone in it!!.Version: 7.2

✓ Why is it free if you can’t save it?I spent a really long time, then I found this. When I was putting in videos, it kept the audio at the right space, it wasn’t confusing like some other apps, and I was able to do exactly what I needed to do. After a while, I finally finished. I was really excited, it worked perfectly, but when I went to save it, it would only save it if I paid for it. I don’t understand why it’s free if you can’t save all the work you did with it. Its due today and now I just spent a long time on this app when I could’ve gotten another one to do it and actually be able to export it. I can understand paying for more features but for exporting the video I don’t understand. I do pay for the subscription as this is the best app I’ve found for my usage. However, be prepared for it to lag and crash. I have to force closes the app every so often. Also, you do have to export your project and open it as a new one if you’re going to do a lot of layering with videos and pictures. It hasn't been bad enough for me to consider finding a different app. But sometimes…. Thankfully the one saving grace is it does autosave.. unless it crashes as your messing with a new component. I’ve never lost more than 30 seconds thank goodness. I do love and hate how long exportation takes. It can take up to five minutes for a large file, but the time it takes to export aids in the files staying crisp without any loss..Version: 10.3.3

Filmmaker Pro was a blessing when I came across it. It’s now my go-to for lyric videos. I accessed the free trial and I wasn’t disappointed, so I’ll definitely be subscribed to Pro. There are a few bugs/glitches, though? Sometimes the text won’t appear in the preview and when I’m exporting the video it will export half way and then kick me out of the app. Usually happens when I try to export with 1080 quality, but can happen with the other qualities too. I also get kicked out whenever I make an edit, it can be random, like me changing a text, or trimming a clip, or things like that, it’ll just crash. ✓ Review of filmmakerHi, I’ve been using the app for 18 months and I’ve really enjoy it, it’s simple and easy to use and very versatile, but the only things I would say have annoyed me at times is when I make longer videos it just bugs out and glitches or sometimes when I go to export it doesn’t let me because some clips have a higher FPS that doesn’t allow me to download even thought they are that high themselves. But other than that I’ve enjoyed using the app and will continue to use it to make my YT videos. I downloaded and started using this app before the de buckle over their at the world famous GoPro studios..Yawn! So I was using both app very frequently. I like the options this app has. It’s much better than SPLICE. I use Final Cut Pro for video art projects. It’s nice to be able to use an app like this on my new iPhone XS Max and with 512 gigs I’ve got tons of storage. I prefer to do my editing on my phone remotely no matter where I am, but I now am not comfortable finalizing and publishing all my videos without seeing them larger beforehand. I have been completely blown away with the capabilities, simplicity and quality of this product. I have dabbled with mobile device editing software but the capabilities were nowhere near the needs of some of my projects. Although I do not use this for professional works, I have used it for quick 30 second and 1 minute promos and they have been great! It is getting very close for me to use this professionally. ✓ Amazing but voice recording feature and text feature could be improved!This app is absolutely amazing, the array of fonts is above par, the control over the videos appearance is amazing, and all the cool text effects are to die for! One issue I’ve noticed recently is that I am no longer able to pinch the text to make it smaller, the only way I’ve managed to shrink the text is by holding down on the arrow that’s assigned to the text’s size. Another issue that I have is whenever I record background audio, and I start over, it doesn’t show the proper preview of the video. For example, if I’ve already recorded 30 seconds of audio and then chose to start over, after retrying it’d still be on the mark where I stopped it, rather then going back to the beginning of the clip. ✓ A handy and simple app with a lot of useful toolsI use this app regularly to spice up videos and time lapses I take with my phone and even GoPro . It’s great if you want to add some transitions, effects, text, music etc without getting into the nuts and bolts of a robust app with more control, like Luma Fusion or After Effects. I find that I often don’t need so much control and this is the great little skate to get to the corner store and back. The one issue I have and so not 5 star at this time YET- hoping it’s addressed- is there is no UNDO!! If you use the app like I do then you may have had the same moments of frustration where you have a lot going on and make one mistake and ruin the whole thing :( Please add an undo , maybe even a redo and I’d happily give this app 5 stars. After playing about with it for around an hour, figuring out each tool and such it is safe to say I am in love with this app. HOWEVER, as much as I love it, I just have a few pointers that could make it so much better and easier to use(not hard to figure out once you get going but...). 1) I would LOVE LOVE LOVE an undo button, my god, the amount of times I’ve accidentally placed an audio file on top of one I’ve already cut together and had to start again due to no undo. An undo would be SUPER helpful. Please and thank you. 2) Individual rows for picture/text, video, and audio so you can see it much better when your cutting audio with video because it’s a little difficult to set up the audio in my opinion. 3) Improve the cutting/trimming tools, it really needs a millisecond bar ideally. Also, when you’re trimming you can only have a minimum of a 3 second clip I believe, so it would be great to be able to zoom into the clip and cut it right down to that final detail Overall, this is a great app, and I would highly recommend (even payed for full version) Keep it up devs!.Version: 6.5

It took me a little bit to figure out everything and the little things that pop up when you press the plus to make a new film or whatever your doing is really helpful because it reminds me what I have to do! ✓ Mostly good, but buggy.Obviously I knew that there would be some risk with buying an expensive video editor on my IPad, especially when I haven’t really looked into different ones very much, but I know that this software, despite sometimes crashing, does have a lot of helpful features, if you need text on screen, picture in picture, sound effects and music, and a really buggy but otherwise enjoyable chroma key (green screen) effect which is a bit hard and sometimes impossible to pull off, especially with gradients. Now, the main point; it’s got one glaring issue that weighs my opinion of it down. When I add too many things or even one thing in, especially chroma keys, the whole thing crashes. **Disclaimer: This does not always happen, so it’s not too bad, but it does happen occasionally and is very annoying.** I don’t know why it does this, especially when I have plenty of space on my device and a good internet connection (although that shouldn’t be required). My suggestion would be to try to fix this (duh), but seriously, this is important to prioritize because of how badly it affects the product. Also, for free users, it would be helpful if you could display where the watermark appears, or maybe let them move it a little to make it more convenient. I had already been paying for the service, when suddenly it required me to purchase again. ✓ It suddenly stoppedThis app is very good for making the type of video I need. However after using it for about three hours it wouldn’t work. I would click on the app but then clicking on the video I was working on made the app shutdown. I have tried clicking on the video many many times but it still doesn’t work, I have powered my device off, freed up more storage on the device, left it overnight to see if that would make a difference, when it didn’t I offloaded the app and re-downloaded it but it still doesn’t work. ✓ Text bug? Great editing app!So I bought this app and I love it. I’ve made videos using it and it is great. I only use this app for music and very nice fonts. For what I use it for it works great. That’s why I give it a 5 star rating. I feel like if I used it for my whole project it would be harder to use. There is a lot of stuff I like about the app, and I highly recommend it. Something I’ve noticed, however, Is that the text repositions wrong. I can put a text and move it to the place I want (in the editing part where you can pick your fonts) then when I go to watch it it’s somewhere else. (Words have been cut off). I screen recorded the problem and honestly it’s a bug I really hope gets fixed. I don’t believe I’m doing anything wrong. I still love the app so I hope this can be resolved..Version: 6.8.2

✓ AMAZING~This editor is amazing! I’ve been looking for apps so I can edit my gacha life story’s. And I was watching someone’s gacha life movie and then at the bottom it said Filmmaker pro, I’m like omg is this a movie editor. Then I immediately went to the App Store and downloaded this app. AMAZING.Version: 6.8.2
✓ Amazing app but a few problemsThis app is really easy to use and wonderful but there’s a few problems. The first problem is sometimes when I try to load the app or continue a project the app would always crash, at least it doesn’t get rid of the progress well sometimes. The second problem is when I go to add on to a project I can’t make it longer then 15 minutes I would love it if I could make it longer but I can’t it always crashes the app. That might be the limit to the project but I would love it if you could make it so we can do the projects for longer. So please can you, the creator, maybe fix the problems bc it is getting rather annoying but the app is still amazing. Thank you! <3.Version: 7.9.1
