Bad serviceSix days after I ordered the tests i called to see where they are. they said they had back orders but they are in stock now and they would ship the next day. I phoned the next day and now they tell me they won’t make it in time.Version: 3.1.9

No one answers the video call and a wait of four hoursI spent $180 on the testing kit with Azova and Ellume because I was linked there by the Virgin Atlantic site. It’s for the 3 tests needed when flying to the UK from the US. When I logged in at my appointed time, no one answered the video call. I was on the line for 10 minutes. I rescheduled and called again later, again no one answered. Customer service was unresponsive to my inquiries. Four hours later, I got a message from customer service that told me to stay in the waiting room, and someone called me to tell me that I missed my appointment. When I told them I didn’t miss my appointment, they said you just have to keep waiting in the waiting room because the wait can be long. There was absolutely no communication of any kind from Azova about that. I ended up having to book an test at an actual clinic. The concept is good, but it doesn’t work at all. Don’t waste your money like I did..Version: 3.1.4

Received a false positive test which was confirmed at a clinic two days laterI hate to give this product a bad review since there is a four percent chance that the results are incorrect. However, it basically ruined the last three days of our family trip in Iceland as my result came back positive while the rest of my family’s came back negative. We had to rush back to the capital and keep me in isolation for two days. I knew that there was a very slim chance it could be inaccurate and I have been fully vaccinated since March and wore a mask the entire trip. However the mental stress it put on our trip was not worth it. Has we gone to the clinic instead they could have done another test or even a PCR test which would have confirmed it was a false positive. Instead the last two days of our trip was a disaster. Also despite excellent customer service during the observation, it took our family of four well over an hour as we had only two phones with the app on it and each one of us had to watch the video instructions. Our proctor Chandler was patient and kind. So the service was good yet the false positive was very upsetting. I almost cried when I went to the clinic and saw the negative result. I would have had to stay in Iceland for 14 days!.Version: 3.1.3

Avoid this company!So on my trip to South Florida, I purchased two of the home test kits with video observation. The day came to do the tests. My wife’s worked and my test malfunctioned. The test proctor told me to call the customer help line to set up a new test or get a refund. The agent on the phone offered to send out a new test kit in 2-3 business days. This was unacceptable considering I was in Florida trying to get home to Canada. He then talked to his supervisor to “request a refund” for my home test kit. This will take another 5-7 business days to get an answer. After this, the agent helped me book an in person test from the Azova website. This cost me an additional $149 USD. I registered in advance and even got a friendly message on the Azova app from the doctor that was going to be doing my test. When I showed up at 9am the next day the doctor knew nothing about my appointment. He stated that he has not been a part of the Azova testing network for months and he has nothing to do with that company. So now I had to pay yet another $149 USD to get a PCR test in order to make my flight home to Canada. When I called the customer service line again the agent stated that they could not issue a refund for my appointment as they had to confirm that the clinic in question was in fact no longer a part of the Azova network. I am still waiting for a call back from Azova and surprise surprise, they are not calling me back. I travel a ton and I understand things can go wrong. But the fact that I cannot even get a refund for a faulty test AND what I consider a fraudulent test booking is brutal. I will be calling visa and getting their fraud team involved. The bottom line here folks is do not deal with this company. Their customer service is severely lacking and they are bordering on fraudulent the way they do business. Stick with the good old fashioned in person tests booked by the clinic themselves..Version: 3.1.7

Flaws with scheduling and time zonesOverall, I’m pleased with the Ellume test kit and the proctored results; it makes the test requirement for USA reentry super simple. That said, there is something wrong with the scheduling system at least as it relates to Italy’s time zone. I chose my appointment time in Italy’s only time zone but the actual appt time was off by one hour; I only figured it out after waiting 2x for more than 30 minutes at my scheduled time only to have no one show up. For my third appointment, I joined 1 hour earlier than the appointment schedule showed and my proctor promptly appeared. Once I was connected, it was great but very frustrating in the meantime trying to guess why it wasn’t working (and unfortunately, customer service was not responsive to chats/phone calls while I tried to resolve)..Version: 3.1.3

Frustrating ExperienceWe used the Azova kit for re-entry into the USA. Our observer, Vernard, was excellent and took the time to walk us thru all of the different steps. The initial instructions didn’t tell us we had to download Zoom or Google to do the observation, so the process took approximately an hour to complete, vs. the 5 minutes advertised. We made it thru with Vernard’s help as he was very patient and worked thru everything. The app were frustrating as you had to go between the Azova and Ellume apps to do different things. In the end we got the results, but it wasn’t a good overall experience..Version: 3.1.4

The most horrible experienceToo bad there are no options for zero stars. The app did not work. I tried the chat function and it took 5 HOURS to respond. Then I called it and it took almost two hours to get the test done. It is hardly possible for this to be any worse. These people should be ashamed for selling such a horrible experience. I do have to say the people that I called were very pleasant - these people deserve better jobs than to work for such a pathetic company..Version: 3.1.6

FrustratingWhen it works this is a good alternative to waiting in line to be tested or even trying to find test locations when you are out of the USA. If you are using one device to perform the test and the video call then you do need to be pretty savvy with switching between apps and locating messages within the same app you are using for the video call. Of the 3 times I’ve used the service for COVID testing only 1 worked flawlessly, the others were a frustrating experience of calling customer care or texting in the message function within the app. I did not find it explained anywhere but when you need a COVID test for travel, you need to get a copy of your test results that contain your passport number. Without this you are likely to be denied check in. It’s great when it works but leave plenty of time before you need your results just in case like me you have to wait for hours for customer support to respond..Version: 3.1.4

Azova Covid test for HawaiiThe whole process was so disapointed!! They made a mistake with the QR Id number that you need to present on “Hawaii safe travel” app and I had to call 5 times and spend more than 4 hours on the phone. They put me on hold on all the calls for a long time, and they didn’t know how to fix it, on top of that they were trying to blame me on the error. They finally fixed it after all my calls. I strongly recommend to use other labs for testing to avoid a big headache and many hours waist of your time!.Version: 3.1.5

TerribleThis app and the website were difficult to use, I was scheduled and charged for 2 appointments at the same time even though I only booked one, the customer service was poor when I messaged them after noticing I wad charged twice, I feel like I was scammed by this company and would strongly encourage others to find an alternative.Version: 3.1.9

Unsatisfied CustomerMy school required us to order a COVID-19 test kit through Azova and when I order the kit, I was immediately instructed to pay as I placed the order. I had placed the order on August 1 and needed the kit by August 7 at the latest. When I would call during the week to check the status on my order they would repeatedly tell me they were unable to track my order. On August 7, I called them and asked about my order and they said it was supposed to have been arrived but it had not. I gave it an extra day and on August 10, I called and asked for a refund due to my not receiving a test kit that they told me would have come days prior and when I reached a representative they told me I could not get a refund. I have not received the kit and therefore I have not used the kit but yet I and unable to get a refund?! Come one now, I needed this kit for school but due to they’re poor communication I had to go I out of my way to seek another provider for a kit. I am disappointed with this service and would not recommend..Version: 3.0.2

Avoid Azova for Hawaii travel testingTheir only written commitment is results in 72 hours after the lab receives your sample. Problem is, UPS needs at least 12 hours to get the test kit to New Jersey. Even if UPS provides proof of delivery to the lab, you are at the lab’s mercy if they can’t find your test kit. Azova support is useless because all they can do is send a note to the lab and give apologies. Convenient that Costco and Azova refuse refunds even if Azova failed to meet their own timelines. Get an actual rapid test from somewhere that can be trusted. Don’t risk your pricey trip..Version: 3.1.1

App ok, underlying support poorWould not recommend. The link didn’t work when we bought through WestJet so (we thought) found the link to setup a proctor appointment on web site. At time of appointment, told we had the wrong link and had to rebook. Once we rebooked, the 30 minute timer on the battery- powered testor had expired and the kit was now useless. Wasted 2 kits and no refunds allowed, even though it was their poor process and a broken link that was the problem. Better to pay a few more bucks and get tested at a local clinic that can guarantee results within 24-47 hours..Version: 3.1.8

UnbelievableThis app partners with Alaska Airlines so we used it for Reentry into the US. They are in NO WAY affiliated with an actual test kit so you must register both on Azova and Ellume, and register between them, in a multitude of time zones which is baffling. No customer support, and when taking the test you need two smart devices, so if you only have phones you’re borrowing someone and constantly logging in and out of three accounts. The person watching you isn’t really, so one of our tests was done incorrectly in a way that the viewer should have spotted and corrected immediately. This “15” minute test results in over 2 hours of time to register and take your test. If you mess your test up you have to call customer support on each service, redo the link between them and start over from scratch. Killed a whole day for our crew and was insanely frustrating..Version: 3.1.2

FrustratingMy husband and I had a frustrating experience. My test went fine. But my husband’s came back saying “Test Error”. So he tried to re-contact our test proctor but was not able to get ahold of her again. A third test came in our package but when my husband tried to start re-start a new test, the app would not respond again. We tried re-starting my husbands phone, but the app still wouldnt respond. We ended up wasting all that money - and my husband found a cheaper “live test” in town..Version: 3.1.3

FrustratingThe test and scheduled proctor worked great for me. But my husband had another experience. Customer service is incredibly patient and kind but we were totally burned out by the process of trying to remedy the issues with his account. We were on the phone for over an hour and the problem was not solved. Luckily we were in a country that had excellent testing sites and went there for my husband’s test. Had we known that testing was extremely easy and quick in the country we visited I would not have bought the kits. As one of the other reviewers mentioned this was challenging using 2 apps and 2 customer service reps. Please streamline the process a bit more and work out the kinks on the app to make this a better experience.Version: 3.1.3

Not loadingApp is stuck at “Syncing your Data” screen. No way to reach app support too. Just useless..Version: 3.1.6

UnreliableDoesn’t work at all - just keeps telling me that it’s signing me in but there’s nothing I can see. Re downloaded so many times but still the same. Full of bugs and the worst part - they don’t send the documents via and email so at this point I’m stuck having to try to download this app and stare at the screen as it’s ‘syncing my data’ and pray to god it does that within the next 24 hours otherwise I run the risk of losing my £55 test and having to book a new one because they won’t just email my document to me. Just send me an email with the certificate - why do I got to download this buggy app when it doesn’t even work???.Version: 3.1.5

Don’t buy if you have Apple productsThe Apple app has several bugs which are crucial to be fixed before using. I would not purchase this service again. They have a product feature where you can’t enter your US address and have an international phone number for your appointment. Not a good feature. I thought I would enter my US number and then change it after completing the intake form. Unfortunately you can not change the number on your profile. So now I have an appointment with the wrong number and Azova customer service only suggestion was to buy a laptop..Version: 3.1.3

These test are NOT reliableThe ease of testing with a online proctor is great in concept...however, my recommend to people is to NEVER purchase and rely on them. Not only did one test give inconclusive result under a proctor...did another proctor test that gave a false positive...had to go to an actual physical clinic to be tested to show negative. These tests need to be fixed! They not only are a coin toss in accuracies…they can cause significant psychological and financial harm to innocent consumers. I recommend pulling these tests immediately and get them fixed as they are contributing to databases by giving not accurate data on results. I explained this already to a physical representative who admitted my experience is happening a lot. All the best.Version: 3.1.3

Unbelievably Awful!And, now, 5 and 1/2 months later, I get a “we’re sorry, we’ll do better” response. Awful. A total scam. Ought to be in jail. Recommended by Delta airlines, I bought the tests for trip to the UK. First you have to also download Ellume, which is a complete mess, too. Between the 2 apps they can’t decide what time it is! After making my first appt for a test, within an hour - I had THREE different times given to me, variously as PDT, PST and UTC, by both text and e-mail. I called the 800 number and was told “OH, it doesn’t matter, they are all the same time”. Just absurd service!!.Version: 3.1.9

Ripped off for two testsAfter a very convoluted process to get our family of four set up for a proctor, we ended up getting charged for two appointments we didn’t have because of errors on their end. Still trying to talk to someone about getting our refund, even with email proof of the mistake. It’s a very janky app and company, but the test observation went well and we got home. The problem was not communicated on their end and cost us $50..Version: 3.1.9

Beware of PCR testing for travelI submitted a saliva sample for a PCR covid test to travel to Hawaii. Upon submitting my specimen, it was sent to the lab and I should have had my results prior to my flight. After being advised I would be okay to travel and my results would post, I arrived in Hawaii. I am currently sitting on a 5 day quarantine essentially paying 1000 dollars a day to watch tv in my room. After contacting Azova, the pharmacy that conducted my test and the lab it was suppose to be sent to, I was advised my test had been processed but there was no results and they were unaware of where my actual test was sent. Apparently Azova switched testing labs and did not notify their contractors of the change so my sample was sent to the wrong lab that no longer services Azova. After hours on the phone with several people, there has been no resolution and I have not received my results. If you’re going to need a test, I would highly recommend using a different company so you don’t get put into the same situation..Version: 3.1.6
