✓ Lost ‘my device’ on both MacBook and iPad.This app was working nicely on MacBook and iPhone, and then on my new iPad. Suddenly my device isn’t showing on the MacBook, same happened on iPad but a delete and reinstall got it working, but same didn’t work on MacBook. So beware this app may not work on all apple products. Edit, now lost playback on both iPad and iPhone. and have to constantly reinstall on iPad if I accidentally close the app. Please sort it Please sort it, now no live view at all and playback either works or it doesn’t..Version: 4.21.0
✓ It’s Worth every PennyI can’t get enough of my camera’s Now this system is not for the set it and forget minded. You will need good internet for offsite viewing and make adjustments to get what you want from it but, its loaded with options. ✓ User ExperienceOverall app is pretty functional in meeting my needs. It does have a few flaws that need fixing, the main one is after logging out and logging back in at times you have to start the cameras again. Much easier if once you present your credential it brings up live view with all the cameras. Overall it’s pretty fast and provide quick access to notification, live view and play back.Version: 3.7.7
✓ Horrible system and poor support from Adt.We have 3 systems At home and 2 rental properties. We are unable to view all 3 on the hik app and the tech didn’t know how to fix problem. This is horrible. We wish we had bought Vivint. But Vivint is very expensive and we got tricked into signing a 5 year monitoring contract with Vivint. We don’t know what to do now. ✓ HiK-Connect a Must for PTZ UseI spent the money and had the commercial HIKVISION PTZ dome cameras installed on my home. They are very nice and come in useful when you want to capture license plates from shady vehicles driving up your street, or other suspicious activity. I have 1gig fiber internet and the NVR is hard wired. It’s an awesome system! The App is very easy to use, and highly useful when you hear things outside at night while your in the other room away from the NVR and monitor. You can record, control the PTZ cameras, review playback and digital zoom on top of the zooming in on objects that the camera itself provide. If you are not tech savvy, then this system may not be for you. You gotta know a little bit about bandwidth, I.P addresses and such to get the most out of the system. ✓ DS-HD1 doorbell camera configurationThis app is required to properly configure the DS-HD1. iVMS-4200 can do a lot to configure it, but this app is the only way I found to set the chime type to mechanical, for instance. Make sure that you allow the app to have “precise location” turned on in Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Hik-Connect, otherwise the app will not be allowed to read your WIFI SSID to copy it to the DS-HD1 during installation. It will be stuck repeatedly asking you to connect to WLAN otherwise..Version: 4.26.0

✓ Version 4.15.1 is good to goVersion 4.15.0 released on June 9, 2021 causes errors and full system crashes. After updating to 4.15 I could no longer view my cameras. On top of that I noticed that every time I did try to view them via the app the entire system would freeze up and reboot. My iPad with the older 4.12 version still worked perfectly……until it updated to 4.15 and now that one causes the same errors and reboots as my iPhone. Update: Version 4.15.1 released on June 24, 2021 and addresses whatever the problem was with 4.15.0. Everything works perfectly again..Version: 4.15.1

✓ Awesome (if configured properly)!Before we start...Here’s THE most important thing! Make sure your DVR/NVR settings are set properly; ensure the sub-stream for each camera isn’t pushing out full HD quality, as your playback and live feed will be slow to work on 3G/4G or WiFi away from home. If you’re unsure how to effectively set up the sub-stream properly for mobile playback and live feed, do you research, or ultimately ask a professional. But otherwise...... Great app for notifications based on ‘line crossing’, ‘motion detection’, or ‘intruder alert’ functions set up on the main system. Each camera on your system can be viewed on-screen at once, or individually; the default setting is low-resolution video both in live view and playback, but this can easily be changed to HD with the touch of the screen. You are easily able to capture a photo or video of live feed or playback files, and easily share these from your phone as you would do with any other video or photo. Advanced playback features, such as smart search, aren’t available via the app, but this is purely because of the limitations of the mobile network/WiFi away from home, and the ability to shift a massive amount of data in/out within a suitable timeframe. An absolutely great app, providing you have your stream, and sub-streams set up correctly..Version: 3.7.3
✓ Great app but needs more features.Have used two brands of cameras. Swann and hikvision. When researching was looking for:- 1. Affordability 2. Ease of installation 3. Quality of picture 4. Remote access and playback 1. Swann is more affordable 2. Swann is easier to install. It’s practically plug and play as the manufacturer has made everything standard. Hik needs a lot more work by someone with a bit more practical understanding and has time to read up on what they need to do. 3. Hik is hands down better quality. 4. Swanns new app ‘AlwaysSafe’ is amazing. You can set up everything on your system remotely. Hiks app is great but it could learn a lot from Swann. In conclusion Swann is really easy to use and offers people with little or no knowledge of cctv systems a really good experience. *IF* you have a little more more money and are practically minded I would recommend hik. ✓ People that complain are mostly ignorantI have a hikvision 4k nvr and also have installed many systems for customers. They are a solid product and the app is legit if you understand it. Most the negative reviews are from people that don’t understand the technology and just want to open the app on their device and it work perfect. A couple issues with that.... 1. Quality high speed internet that is connected to the camera system(dvr/nvr) is a huge issue on most the complaints. 2. Good cellular or Wi-Fi connected to the device with what you’re trying to view the cameras dvr/nvr on. 3. All dvr/nvr units have certain tech specs regarding max users max bandwidth(not local internet BUT bandwidth between the nvr/dvr and the cameras) that IS STATED AND AVAILABLE on the systems box instructions and online for your particular unit model and all models. 4. Ive never had a issue with quality from the cameras that is outside the specs to the dvr/nvr if you are accessing from the dvr/nvr unit itself via hdmi or whatever video cable you use, everyone that complains seems to be all from remote access devices and probably don’t even know how to physically access their dvr/nvr 4. ✓ Bad non responsiveI installed this update and thought it would be a new improvement. But boy I was wrong. Does not open every time. When it does open then you have to tap another icon or setting to open what you want. Then it lags you have to wait for video to catch-up. ✓ It does what it’s supposed to doI suspect that all of you who are having problems with this app must not know what your doing. It works just fine for me. I’ve never had an issue adding a camera, or NVR. The stream is selectable. It defaults to the sub stream (for a reason) but you can change it to the HD feed if you want. My only complaint is that I haven’t figured out a way to separate different alarms. I want to be notified by my doorbell camera if someone hits the button, but I don’t like my phone constantly alerting me every time a cat walks by! I wish I could silence the motion alarm, while retaining the intercom alarm.Version: 3.3.0
✓ Doesn’t work on PlaybackHad our system installed last week. Despite the quality of the sub stream being reduced to min, it freezes after say 15 secs. This is a major feature of the system we bought and it’s not working. Engineer been back and spent 2.5 hrs trying to sort it and couldn’t. ✓ Good function systemI have purchased a HIK camera and recording system for home and linking it to HIK connect application, using it for three months. The application is reliable and easy to use but not in the beginning for there is not intuitive function built in for the user. There is a significant learning on how to use what the application offers. This application is more geared for commercial use where persons are more experienced with security systems. ✓ Spectacular Views!We had two cameras to fitted to each side of our house recently. This has brought us peace of mind when we are asleep and some degree of assurance regarding security of our property when we are further away from home. The clarity of the images day and night are beyond our expectations!.. the quality of the Audio is also very sharp. We really like the ability to remotely check up on the property at any time of day or night..and the ability to review footage if we wish to check something. The Engineer who installed these cameras was also excellent. Giving us a thorough over view of whet we could expect once he had installed each device.. and then spent a good deal of time connecting them up to our phones... and gave us a practical workshop how to use the system. He was very methodical and thorough. We can Highly recommend him for the work he carried out for us... and his choice of product. It was a very good price and a Very good decision to go ahead and have them installed.... we’ve had them for about 6 weeks now... and feel confident to recommend this brand of product. ✓ Can’t zoom in While Pause the video in Playback sectionWhen playback a specific camera and then you pause the video and try to zoom in the footage it’s doesn’t allow you. This is some kind of bug in this app. For example you are watching the video in playback section and you wanted to note the number plate of car, when you pause the video it doesn’t allow you to zoom in. ✓ Great, but need’s enhancementsInstalled this app after having my home security system replaced. The app is great but suffers from a few minor irritations: 1. On iOS devices, when you get a notification on the lock screen, pressing and holding doesn’t show a preview of the image from the camera, so you actually have to log into the app, then press Playback to view the video. 2. In playback mode, there’s no option to adjust the playback speed, 2x, 4x. So if I want to view the footage for a camera from a certain day I have to watch it back in real time..Version: 5.3.0

✓ Very reliable camera and AppI have been using these cameras for two months. Very happy with the app. I have connected it via wifi and see crystal clear videos. And when I am away, I could see live from my mobile as I have connected it to a mobile wifi device. I also get notifications when there is a movement. But every small movement are also notified. But I can keep it in silent and browse the notifications later whenever i am free, as few seconds get recorded and stored in the cloud when there are movements. ✓ Notification issue in latest releaseGenerally a good app as long as the system is configured correctly in the first place. However, the latest update has introduced a bug with the notifications in that the the number of notifications keeps increasing on the app icon, even though you’ve been into the app and cleared/deleted all the notifications. The next time you have a new notification the number next to the app icon shows something like 73 which is the total number of notifications since installing the update, not the number of new notifications. ✓ My camerasMy cameras, I am 69 years young and 12 years old, that is from the date I was brought back to life after my first of three attempted murders where I was run over on a walk back from the Summerhouse where my wife was booking my 60th birthday, the incident caused two bleeds to my brain which where repaired by the Tremendous Surgeons at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, this was followed by two further attempts by the same offenders and by daily provocation and destruction of my property. My HD cameras are recording the activity of two offenders and their corrupt solicitor, I can then use this in evidence for my legal civil and Criminal actions against the people from Number 3 Woodfarm Barns, it is difficult on this long dangerous journey for a person with half a brain after such attacks and surgery, but having visual evidence supports my challenges against the offenders. ✓ A great app but needs more integration.This app is great but needs ANPR added so that clients can access ANPR activity and functions of their NVRs and administer ANPR white/black-lists. It would be great to see more integration with entryphone/access control giving users the ability to view activity and manage users and entrycodes. ✓ Top Notch Service and ProductOld black control box of Camera system was troubleshooted remotely and very effectively by Dermot Breslin of Reliable Security Products Ltd. From Dublin to our home in Rosslare Co. Wexford. Without Dermot’s skill and perseverance we would never have found the root cause of this problem. It is vitally important to us as we live abroad and rely on the Camera System. Dermot sent the Hikvision control box and a camera to us overnight and it was picked up in Wexford at 8:00 am next morning. If it doesn't work it has been configured incorrectly! As an installer we cant afford to have an app that doesn't work. This is professional equipment thats made to last. ✓ Outstanding app for Remote viewing CCTVI’m not usually one for reviewing apps but couldn’t help writing one after seeing the poor reviews. As a professional CCTV installer this app has to be the best one around. Once your system is properly configured it works a dream. The latest update has made it a lot easier to use as well. The door intercom system is also well designed. 5 stars to Hikvision for developing this! I can only imagine that the poor reviews are from people who have tried to set their systems up themselves without knowing the first thing about Hikvision products. ✓ Working better nowLike a lot of people on here I was quite angry being almost forced over to Hik connect and then trying to use buggy software but now, after many updates, it really is a joy to use. Works well on 4G as long as I don’t try to load 16 cameras, that should be obvious really. For example 6 cameras on screen Instead of displaying the preset screens 4,9,12. Also playback at the same time streaming on multiple cameras would be better. Also removing touchID/password/ and especially faceID would be good. As taking time to enter security during night or times of motion detection can be frustrating. Doesn’t need an app lock. I am using DDNS connection and the stream loads fine when tapped on but the new version has introduced a huge delay when switching (scrolling) through camera streams. ✓ Poor review made in errorI have completely removed my previous review which stated that this app was worse than useless - I was completely wrong. After further investigation it turns out that the problem with poor connection, static pictures and general rubbishness was entirely at my end. The way I had connected the system’s base unit to the router (using a device which sent signals through the existing house wiring to the router) was inadequate, meaning that the signal being processed by the app was inconsistent at best. I have now plugged the system directly to the router via a cable and the app appears to be working flawlessly. It’s still not terribly user-friendly, but that’s a different story... All I need to do now is work out how to send the signal wirelessly (and efficiently) to the router or find a way to hide the cable on its way through the house. Apologies to Hikvision..Version: 3.3.3

But everytime I want to see the playback, I’m frustrated with the timeline bar that always starts from midnight :( No one gotta watches things from the midnight. It should just point at the current time then we can easily navigate it back to 10 minutes before, or one hour before, up to our desire. And the 2x, 4x is nowhere. ✓ Brilliant App except - Needs AutomationWell designed app except it’s missing one very important feature. Automation! Developers: Can you please add a feature for your Door Control Modules where users can either use Apple Automation or app’s built in timer / conditional OPEN / CLOSE commands to enable users to Open and Close Gates / Doors at set times. This will be a great help for properties with gates to access the main entrance, or even for people who use apps like AirBnB as this will allow them to open and close doors / gates at set time etc. Hopefully this will get picked up by the developers!.Version: 6.0.110
✓ Great App-Again!I generally don’t write reviews for any app. The update that was released about 2 weeks ago caused me to lose the ability to control the camera from my ipad. I am running a Hikvision PTZ camera through a Hikvision NVR. I never had a problem with either device. In my opinion,the image quality of the Hikvision camera is unsurpassed. I was really disappointed when this problem occurred. Within days, Hikvision released an update which corrected the problem. I am very happy that unlike a lot of developers that release updates and abandon them, these developers seem to be pro-active and worked quickly to resolve problems with the app..Version: 4.15.1

✓ New Customer with 16 Cameras InstalledThis is my first night after installation/labor of 16 cameras inside and out and I’m pretty happy! I may need to add more outside lighting, however all inside/outside cameras are viewing great through the App in real time and I’m still learning how to view past video. I wish I’d done this many years ago!! A piece of mind, when you hear things bump in the night, is so worth the equipment/labor of cameras by ADT and the App works marvelous! I’m the one issue is the lack of iPad portrait support or rotation. Many of the IPads are mounted in Portrait mode since many other apps and uses benefit front such setup and the lack of image rotation to view the cameras is a major drawback. ✓ It doesn’t work!Updated both my iPhone and iPad with this but now all cameras are showing as ‘device is off line’ and consequently no pictures can be seen. I’ve deleted and reinstalled, tried by WiFi only and G3/4 only - nothing! It lists the hardware but nothing can be switched on or off and the print throughout is ‘greyed’. I admit to my shortcomings with such things but I am unable to find out either where if off I am doing something wrong (unlikely as all I have done is update the app) or what steps I can take to eliminate the problem..Version: 3.2.0
✓ No complaints & I’m a tech dummy!I really don’t understand any of these bad reviews. Unless the app just works perfectly fine for me and the other 5 star reviewers which is very doubtful. I had the iVMS-4200 system installed at my place of business a few years ago for security reasons mainly safety of my employees. I just recently started using this app in the last couple of months and it works fine. I don’t have any problems watching in real time with no lagging & picture quality is great. I installed this and have never did any of the updates since I read on here after people update they have problems. Very happy with this app..Version: 4.25.0
