✓ Netflix no longer works.Been using this App for almost 2 years now, 2 years this Christmas to be exact and it has worked great. It even let me get access to the American Netflix which was great because the Australian Netflix is always lacking good content but now it doesn’t work for getting around Netflix geo-restriction so I don’t know if it’s worth paying the $45 odd dollars a year again just to get access the blocked sites in Australia considering other free VPN’s allow me to access said blocked sites here in Australia..Version: 3.3.6
✓ Works some of the timeI switched to this from the VPN in Norton Mobile Security as that VPN blocked loading of Facebook, Maps and other pages every now and then and had to be disconnected in order to download content. This VPN started out much better, but is now also causing problems especially when it ‘closes down’ when your iPhone is locked and then takes a long time to connect just saying connecting during which time you can’t see certain websites (e.g. CEX) or load content. Switching ‘Connect on demand’ off and on helps speed up reconnection, but it shouldn’t be doing that in the first place..Version: 3.4.3
✓ Not impressedI am very disappointed in the service that you provide, I am very concerned about the level of rata ( unauthorized remote administrators that are operating illegall and federally banned mirroring software. ✓ False advertising and quirky seat management.They sell you a Norton Security license including VPN. In a big sticker on that ad it says “covers 5 devices”. Only after you’ve bought it do they tell you oh no, that doesn’t include the VPN, that’s only for one device. Shady advertising and that’s a shame because the security software despite its quirks is effective. Both the security software and the VPN seem to get confused when you renew the license. Despite my subscription being in place a number of windows PC’s told me that it had expired, regardless of how many restarts or reinstalls were carried out meaning some machines were exposed for around 24 hours. The VPN told me it could not open on my phone because the one seat was being used by, wait for it, my phone. Yes the phone it had never left. So in order to use it on my phone I had to cancel the VPN on my phone, then against any sort of logic it worked. On my phone. I would expect more from a flagship security brand..Version: 3.4.9
✓ Logs me out without warningKeeps logging off for no apparent reason. WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter don’t work for me when Norton VPN is connected. When I disconnect, they immediately start working again. Technical support got me to reinstall the app. No difference. They then said ‘some sites block some content when they don’t recognise where the signal is coming from’. If that’s the case, what’s the point in using VPN? Sure, your data is secure but you can’t use the most popular apps. They also said only to use VPN when using public networks as my home broadband and my 4g should be secure enough without it. ✓ Slow and CrashesIts slow to connect and crashes often. Every other month you open the app and it has logged you out, then it takes half an hour to try log back in. ✓ You should fire your designer!Whoever designed, agreed on and approved this new extremely ugly yellow approach and app icon should be fired without a 2nd chance! Run a pole if you don’t have the eye and taste to get what I mean. It’s UGLY like hell and hurts the eyes. Check how much turmeric he added! This much yellow is like an error sign, a warning post. Nothing can justify it or even describe it! Fire them and bring back the old beautiful easy on the eyes design. I’m giving 1 week and I’ll switch to another VPN, yes, because of the icon and yellow app. I care about my eyes, taste and sanity. ✓ Norton VPN, watch out!Like the anonymous online, but it can cause me to not get online now and again. Sometimes nothing will load in Safari, and when I turn off VPN and everything works fine. So it needs some work. A couple of weeks later: Received an email from “Ray” at support. Had several suggestions, one of which was to delete it from my ipad and reinstall from the app store to make sure I had the most recent build. That sounded like a good place to start, so I deleted the app, but it didn't entirely go away. There is 8 kb left on my tablet that WILL NOT go away. It cannot be deleted either from Home or Settings/General/ipad storage. It goes away and comes right back, even with a cold boot. This causes the app store to see it as still there, so the app store option is “Open”, but nothing happens. It won't run or reload. Two levels of chat support gave up on it, though they did give me 15 days extra on my subscription. Whoop-de-do. Also run on my iphone and National Weather Service app loads ten times faster when I shut off the VPN. I've been with Norton a long time and have generally been happy. Not this time. Looking around for another VPN, and not looking forward to the minor Norton presence that I can't get rid of..Version: 3.5.1
✓ Unreliable and exceptionally slowUpdate Aug. 31, 2020: Norton contacted me here on the App Store and asked me to contact them on social media. What? Looking at other reviews, they provide links to email or web resources. What makes Norton think I have a Twitter or Facebook account? What makes Norton think I want to reduce my privacy and allow them to link my App Store name/identifier to these ... especially Facebook? The point of a VPN is privacy! I’ve already spoken *at length* — many times — with Norton’s support on both this and their invasive and aggressive billing practices. They blamed Apple. I’ve been in tech for decades, and I’ve written a lot of software over the years — everything from small helper utilities to enterprise-class management systems, and beyond. Norton’s implementation and financial strategies are not Apple’s fault. This is simply irresponsible. The purpose of this review is to inform others, not because I need Norton to contradict what should be the mission of their “privacy” product. It’s certainly not because they are sincerely interested in actually fixing these issues. Norton: do you want more information on this issue? Look no further than reading these reviews and doing a simple web search. Too many people are complaining about this. There is no way you don’t already know. Get your act together. Rating was 2 stars ... now 1 star. —— I’ve been using Norton’s VPN for quite a while now. Unfortunately, its implementation is plagued with performance, reliability, and bandwidth issues. I’ve already spoken with Norton tech support on this, and they passed off blame to Apple. This product uses on-demand VPN, which means that it is not a persistent connection ... it connects only when needed. I can appreciate what Norton is trying to achieve with this, but the approach is flawed. In order for the VPN connection to initiate, an app or iOS needs to request network access. This, in turn, should initiate an on-demand VPN connection. You can’t connect to network resources until this happens — including local or internet resources, sites, or services. They simply hang until the VPN connects. The problem is that I can wait very long times for the connection to go from “Connecting” to “Connected,” and there is no simple notification to let you know what’s happening. Because Norton SafeWeb acts as a VPN, swiping down from the top of the screen makes it appear that your true VPN is connected, when it’s not. And, if I turn on the VPN without using on-demand (I.e. manually setting it to be on), it constantly turns itself off. I’m now in the habit of launching Safari and opening a new page, waiting for the VPN icon to flash at the top of the screen, closing the web page, and then proceeding. Reloading an existing page doesn’t work, and neither do most apps and services. Too often (read: more than 80% of the time), this still doesn’t work, and I open the Settings app and go into VPN to wait and see if it’s connected or spinning its wheels. Turning off the on-demand VPN (in the connection’s submenu) and then turning it back on sometimes works, but I’m usually still left waiting. For what it’s worth, I’ve removed the VPN connections completely, uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted my phone (iPad, my wife’s, kids’, etc, etc), and the behaviour persists. My kids usually turn it off to be able to connect, and location, internet service provider, or Wi-Fi vs. cellular all make no difference across all of our devices. Again, I’ve also gone through all this with Norton’s tech support. When Norton VPN is enabled, I can receive iMessages hours after someone sends them to me. I can be kicked out while performing a longer task, such as typing in this review on my iPhone (I’m also in the habit of copying the whole review to the clipboard before submitting in case my VPN connection turns itself off while I’m typing and my typing is lost to the ether ... this has happened a lot!). Edit: it just happened while attempting to submit this review! The convenience of using a mobile device is that I can quickly check email, the weather, check a website, etc. There is nothing convenient about jumping through all of these hoops to eventually be graced with a VPN connection or be forced to turn the service completely off to connect. Do you have a smart home? It also does not recognize local/LAN resources (my receiver, TV, computers, etc). This means that I, again, need to disable the VPN to access or control these devices. I have educated guesses as to why this is happening, but they all come down to cost-savings and an ill-conceived service. Finally, it is sooo sloooow! I’ve done many a speed test on all devices in our house using this service, and the speed reduction is terrible (Macs, PCs, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, phones, and tablets). All VPNs cause a speed reduction, but this is truly poor. I gave it two stars, because, when it works, I have more peace of mind than when I’m not using a VPN. All other times? Ugh! Why did I buy it? Simply: I really like their virus scanner outside of mobile, and the same license packs cover mobile. There are so many ways I could suggest to improve this product, but do big companies ever *truly* listen?.Version: 3.4.2

✓ Better than mostI’ve tried several VPN’s and this one like most will disguise your IP and block trackers but it also switches on independently meaning I turn it off it turns itself on, I turn it off it turns itself on - and so it goes unless you block its access. If it was auto protecting because it felt your Internet access was unsafe that would be one thing - but that isn’t the case. It can, I assume unintentionally, interfere with cellular data when wireless internet is not available and there is a large amount of pages that won’t display not because there blocked by the VPN but because there denying access due to the way the IP was masked and the “signal” as it were was routed. For example when accessing Google with the VPN on you might have to make several attempts to establish that connection and use Google. I don’t know if they have corrected this with the new update or this is simply inherent in all VPN’s only time will tell as tech improves. Oh and it is rumored that although - and I actually I like Norton - your personal history etc. is masked/hid Norton itself can ultimately track it - but that’s only if you believe some of the guys working in Military Intelligence- and no that’s not an oxymoron. So if you have to have one form or another of big brother watching I guess I don’t mind Norton. ✓ Fine where there’s a good signalUsed this for a while in more urban areas, and there seem to be few problems. Some sites don’t load fully, or lose functionality. That is frustrating. The killer is in areas with poor signal/Wi-fi connections where the VPN processes make connection very slow or impossible. Even when you relocate the selection to UK, the connection is slow, and then reverts to selecting some overseas location when you log out of the Wi-fi. Do I gain much protection? Hard to say. ✓ Terrible VPN experience on iPhoneYou need to download two apps for iPhone which continuously block each other. You think you have an active VPN connection until you either realise it has been cancelled on the Secure VPN app or your internet goes offline as Security app continuously refreshes itself and runs back to back device scans which blocks until the device is verified as safe. The account login in each app keeps on disconnecting and it is almost impossible to have a sales/customer support when needed the most. ✓ Not goodEven before the current coronavirus pandemic the Norton VPN service was poor. The speeds are terrible, the connection is intermittent and I’ve only managed to get it to work with US Netflix on one single occasion. Even then, the speed and subsequent imagine quality was so dire as to render its use painful. It didn’t take long for Netflix to warn me that I was using a known VPN and blocked my ability to stream content. During the current pandemic this lacklustre performance has only worsened. Even basic web browsing is a grind. Shame really. Given their market position and offerings Symantec could make a killing but using a fast, safe and reliable VPN offering as a gateway to their entire product and service portfolio. Contacted customer service and they said I would have to set up a new account because of the two factor authentication (?). Anyway, I asked why can’t they just change it to my new phone number. They said they can’t do that. Never received an answer as to why. I’m very frustrated. Asked them for a phone number. After a few tries of asking for a phone number to talk to someone, they finally gave it to me and said the answer would remain the same, no refund and I would have to set up a new account. As a customer, I am supposed to trust these guys? Absolutely NOT! I will take my business elsewhere. If I could give negative stars, it would. Never seen a customer service like this. ✓ Poor service for a paid appThis app can sometimes connect very quickly or it can take several hours to connect and then when it does it losses the connection after just a few minutes or an hour or so. I have this on an iPad Pro and an I phone 7. When I contacted Norton support they didn’t seem to know what the issue was and on the live chat I had with them I had to download another app for them to try and diagnose the issue and when they couldn’t come up with any answers they just stopped talking on the live chat. ✓ Nice IdeaI’m an avid Norton/Symantec user, and use them for all my PC’s and devices. I was quite pleased when I saw the mobile VPN and the PC version works fairly well (signs itself out unnecessarily), but unfortunately this app is still work in progress, and has some flaws: Times out frequently, lacks connectivity, misinformation - e.g. states it is connected to the UK but also states that the city is Dar es Salaam. If you put your device down to make a brew/answer the door/use the toilet, when you return to the device the VPN usually has disconnected. Most frustrating is the time it can sometimes take to connect. I’m looking forward to these issues been addressed and Norton VPN providing the service I have paid for..Version: 3.3.2

✓ App Stopped WorkingEver since this app updated a few days ago it stopped working. The first time I opened the app after the update, it asked to add VPN Configurations, which I allowed it to. Now, if I turn it on, it tells me it can’t connect to the server. I went to the support page which told me that in order to solve this problem, the app needed to be updated or uninstalled and reinstalled. Since the app had already been updated, an update wasn’t an option. So, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. The problem didn’t go away. I also have Norton 360 installed on my iPhone, which is working fine. It has its own VPN with its own configurations. I’m wondering if the two are conflicting with one another. It would be weird if they were since previously they were able to coexist with each other. Maybe the update has some kind of a glitch that pits the two apps against each other, I don’t know. The only other reason I can think of for it not working is that the VPN configuration it installed is incorrect and points it to a server that doesn’t exists. I should also point out that I’m using Secure VPN on my Windows laptop and it’s working fine. I’m only having a problem with the iOS version. ✓ Love it but could be better.It does what it is suppose to do however it doesn’t always help with the apps I use like Disney plus or Cartoon Network app. I want to use this so I could still access my apps like Disney plus and with the content and language still in English. It only turns the language into English and the content like the words of the places on the film are in the country that I’m physically in native language. I also would want a way to use it for my Apple TV where I could just change the dns to Norton server and then both the content and language would be in English but that is not an option either. ✓ I’m very dissatisfied...I found this app while browsing for a good reputable VPN service provider after hearing good things about it. I decided to try out the trial first to see how good it is and I have to say that I am very disappointed... First, the app keeps on disconnecting the VPN every other couple of minutes and you have to reopen the app and wait for it to connect again—very frustrating. I thought that maybe it was because it’s the trial version, so I ended up subscribing to the 1 year plan and boy was I wrong... The same thing occurs. And on top of that, they only have one or two location servers country, compared to other VPN providers that give you several servers available to choose from on a paying plan and do not disconnect on you every few minutes or so. I totally paid money for an app that does not do what it claims to do and I’ll probably be asking for a refund because this is just wrong. As a paying customer I expect to be given the quality service promised as advertised and in this case, Norton VPN has not fulfilled their end of the deal. ✓ Wasn’t sure whether it did anythingAfter installing norton vpn it didn’t seem to be doing anything. I had also installed Norton safescan and whatever else comes with Norton protection. I was getting tons of spam emails and phone calls and texts. Sometimes when I clicked on an email to label it as spam, I was offered the option of reporting it (to whom was never clear) as spam, but usually these just went to spam. All of these seemed to keep showing up and I kept flagging them as spam. Yes, I rechecked my settings numerous times. (Most obnoxious were the spam notices purporting to be from Macafee that wanted me to renew my account, although I haven’t had one for about ten years.) More recently this and other devices warn me when I’m accessing an unsecured network, and I think, though I’m not sure, that Norton’s vpn kicks in as it should. ✓ This has problems...I’ve been using this for about a week. Once this is installed on my iPad Pro 12.9: Using my SlingBox is not possible with my iPad mirroring to my Apple TV. It worked flawlessly before. Trying to use the FiOS mobile app, at home connected to my Fios router, it cannot find the set top box. It will not allow me to turn off the VPN and remain connected. Lately it just keeps turning itself back on, after I turn it off. Even when I can get it turned off, I have no internet connectivity both with the WiFi AND Cellular service. When I turn this software off, it should stay off until I turn it back on. It should not interfere with my internet connection when I turn it off! I have to uninstall the app to get my internet back. I’ve done this three times when I really need the connection and it would not let me get to the internet. As soon as I uninstall it, my FiOS app works fine. I am in my own house and I can’t turn it off. This should be fixed. I am a paying subscriber for other Norton products, and I just signed up to pay for this. Please get on these problems quickly. ✓ This is Not an “Always ON” VPN!This is Not an “Always ON” VPN. Recently, due to circumstances out of my control, I was a victim in a compromised network. I’ve used a few different VPNs before and always thought they were a good ideal pre compromise. But now having personally gone through a compromise, a VPN is not a luxury, it’s a necessity! This is what led me to try Norton’s VPN. It’s supposed to be an always on VPN and one of few well known companies that offer the VPN across both Mac and iOS platforms. Currently I’m only using the service on an iPhone. I limit my digital footprint and exposure as much as possible. I don’t use WiFi at all, the Norton VPN only runs on a cellular signal which never gets turned off and yet whenever I go to check it in their app8 out of 10 times it inevitability has to search for a signal and always takes a good couple minutes to find the signal an turn itself on. ✓ Auto-RotationThere really does need to be an iPad optimised version of this app, although the security and app perform fine most iPads are used horizontally especially when paired with a magic keyboard of some sort, so whenever I open this app with my magic keyboard attached the app will only open in portrait creating a sideways app experience, so to fix this I have to either rotate the iPad entirely with the keyboard still attached, or detach the keyboard and rotate the iPad to use the app and turn on the VPN. ✓ IntermittentI put this VPN software on my PC’s, works fine on the desktop PC but had to get Norton Support to load it on my laptop. On the laptop it works fine on my profile but not my wife’s profile, so will be contacting Norton Support about that when I have time. Also installed this app on our iPhones & iPads. ✓ VPN Configurations ProblemDownloaded the app maybe around six months ago. Worked great and was speedy in the beginning. After sometime it began to slow down my updates. Also, it used to two two locations with Japan and Singapore. Now it only gives the Singapore location. Suddenly, within the last month, the app won’t turn on and wants me to allow VPN Configurations. I allow it but it does nothing but gives me an error and won’t turn back on. I contacted tech support who really tried to help but couldn’t. ✓ JunkSince there has been no response from product support to the ongoing issue (other than the first one to this review which was no doubt a bot), today I switched my PC to McAfee and VPN to ExpressVPN. Goodbye and good riddance. The developer responded to the review in the App Store. I followed their instructions and there has been no response in over a week. It makes me think that the robotic response to critical reviews is for show only. As I said in my original review, I tried a few times to get Norton to respond before putting the review in the App Store. Proceed with caution. This app is junk. ✓ Not so hot anymoreThis used to be great. I mean I didn’t really strictly speaking need it, but it gave me peace of mind and it worked well. I had it on both my iPod touch and my iPad logged in on both all the time. Then last week I got an iPhone 8 Plus and I had to take it off the iPod and install it in the iPhone. From that moment on I had to constantly log in on one device or the other it wouldn’t have VPN on both all the time, and it wasn’t just a matter of turning it on or off but using the password all the time. Plus with it on the iPhone I found I could not get the phone to operate on wifi, it couldn’t update, it couldn’t connect to apps or online, nada. I turned it off and problem solved. There’s not much incentive to turn it back on, I tried putting it on the phone while I was out and it wouldn’t connect. Now my iPad won’t work at home with the VPN on. ✓ VPN issuesI just installed this on my iPhone after the VPN stopped working from another Norton email account which expired and was not told about the VPN expired. After contacting Norton antivirus and waited for about 20 minutes for support. Support was somewhat helpful except never told me why my account didn't work until my second call when I realized, I was being forced into another upgrade and that my second email account was only for three Pc's and not for iPhones. By this time, I had to contact Norton again and find out that I couldn't add my iPhone to an existing account/ email. Finally, I was able to get a new agreement and now, I have 5 devices, two pcs and one iPhone. After updating both my pcs and iPhone it worked but with a new issue. My iPhone kept looping and would restart the Apple screen. I did some research and after, uninstalling apps, resetting the app, pulled the SIM card, it still kept looping. Finally, I found out that Norton Antivirus had a Time bug, I had to change my date and time back to December 1, 2017 @ 5:42 PM and than reset my iPhone. Now my iPhone is working without interruptions. VPN is good at times but I have at times manually have to set the VPN, daily and if I logout I have to re connect it manually. ✓ Doesn’t work, limits phone usabilityThis app is a giant pain in the neck. It does not maintain a VPN connection on my iPhone 8, so I have to try to reconnect EACH time I want to use my phone, whether I’m in a WiFi zone or just using cellular data. Reconnecting can take 2, 5, 7, or endless attempts, sometimes not connecting at all. Without connecting, I can’t use my map app, my weather doesn’t refresh, and so on. This makes my phone usability total garbage. For instance, yesterday I got caught in a construction zone and needed a quick detour. I tried to open my map app and it couldn’t refresh with my location until the VPN connected. I tried to connect over and over, but it didn’t work and I couldn’t get a route. This has been happening the entire first month of my subscription, although the app worked much better during the trial period. I do not recommend this app. I really love the idea of a VPN, particularly when I’m using a public WiFi, but being required to wait a few minutes or more each time I lift my phone to use it in my own home or when I’m out on the road is a huge headache. ✓ Unable to connect at the worse timingUsed this service over 1 1/2 year. Initially was fine but in the 2nd year term experienced the VPN would not connect at the worse possible timing - when I need to really look up stuff online or need to connect to my HomeKit device. There are 4 devices installed with this VPN and constantly 3 of them would experience similar issue so the conclusion was not a device issue. The 4th device was my PC and the issue there was completely different. The software would only allow certain screen resolutions. Any unusual resolution that came as a result of connecting to my PC using Remote Desktop would crash the program. To fix the VPN connection issue usually meant to wait for undefined moment until their server was up or sometimes log off and log back in. The support available at anytime you need them using Facebook messenger (how I connect to them). Complained numerous times about the connection issue to them and their response about the satisfaction guarantee only good for first 30 days. ✓ Don’t download this app.While I was watching a free movie, this site popped up and made me believe I need to download this ‘Free App’ in order to watch the movie. Soon after that I found out that this was not free at all but a ‘free 30 days trial’. I immediately deleted the app and made a note on my calendar to cancel it before the due date of 20 June. A few days before the renewal date I searched the web, found out the VPN support address. Sent 2 emails to cancel it, but those were returned as ‘mail delivery system failure’. When they charged me full year subscription fee I got in touch with Apple support. They got involved to find out how to get my money back and also told me how to cancel these apps on Apple. Today, 24 June, I received an email from the developer to cancel it on ‘Google Play’ when it is clear I am an Apple user, and no mention of refund. But keen, that I should update my review. Update: On their last email Norton even told me that this app had not 30 days but only 7 days free subscription, but the charge was made 30 days later. ✓ Constant CheckingI have been a Norton customer for many years and to be honest they are good at what they do but this app for VPN does not live up to the standards we have been accustomed too, it can take some goes at getting it to lock onto a particular country even if you decide to use the automatic option and when it has locked on it will lose connection so your IP address is vulnerable and not protected. On a plus side Norton customer care is second to none, they will pursue a solution and phone you back after a day or two to make sure all is okay. ✓ Too many websites will not loadThere is a broader problem regarding internet security and privacy. Too many websites will not load when they detect a VPN being used. Two reasons at least why this is true: 1. Anonymizing software and services are use by mal-actors for illegal purposes 2. Anonymizing software and services prevent commercial websites from harvesting personal data that can be sold or analyzed for marketing. As a result I have to routinely turn the service on and off depending on which app I’m using or website I am browsing. Which of course means I routinely forget to turn the VPN service back on. Which greatly diminishes the value of the service. The problem is broader than whether or not a VPN service is “good.” In terms of service and performance, Norton VPN is 4-5 stars. ✓ When it works it’s fine but......This app is frustrating because it can take ages to load when an app on my phone needs a vpn tunnel. It often gets stuck on searching for a server and even when it gets one it can takes ages to secure the connection by which time the app that needs the vpn tunnel has timed out. ✓ Blocks your e-mails so think before you buy!As a long time Norton user I decided to add their VPN app to my I-phones and I Pad to offer protection on public wi-fi. It was easy to load and set up and seemed good(although you have no real way of knowing if it is effective). Unfortunately what they don’t warn you is that for many e-Mail providers including if you use Outlook and BT your e-mails will be blocked. You get a series of error messages saying that your account password may be wrong. The only way to overcome this is to switch off Norton to download your e- mails and switch it on again for browsing - hardly a great idea! Had lengthy web chat with Norton Support and was told “that’s how it is”. I don’t think I will be renewing subscription. Be aware..Version: 2.5.4

✓ Frustrated and stressed out.Worst experience for IOS recently Can’t understand why VPN needs to be manually started every time an IPad or iPhone was powered on. ✓ It’s horrible. Useless.When on cellular service, it just CHEWS up your data. It constantly blocks the internet, on Wi-Fi or cellular, I’m always getting “no internet connection” errors when trying to use my browser or any of my social media. You can only select the individual country, in Canada it just bounces between a few cities. You know you’re connected to Montreal, because all your ads are in French. This app is just as bad as all the others out there. Their tech support is useless too. ✓ Awful VPNI wish there was a way to give 0 stars. This is the worst VPN guaranteed on the market. Why? If any other VPN connects it is automatically better than this one. I really tried using this. I’m in Africa and a VPN is a must. But I have spent literally 45 minutes trying to get this to connect to any server and it fails every time. Doesn’t connect. I close the app out, pull it back up try again and nothing. This is nothing but a scam. Do yourself a favor and absolutely do not buy this app. If you want a way to waste time and be aggravated trying to get this app to connect then maybe this is for you! ✓ Don’t bother with a MacBook. Actually don’t bother at allIt’s really saying something about a company when you have to use a review platform to voice your problems because customer support is non existent. It worked fine on my iPhone even though it kept logging out and asking me for log in details which sometimes it recognises and sometimes it doesn’t. Anyway, stupidly decided to pay more to get another device covered (MacBook) and it doesn’t sign in at all. Customer support is non existent. My emails seem to disappear with no response. ✓ Can't connect to a serverIf I could give this app 0 (zero) I would. For the past coulpe months the Norton VPN keeps interfering with my home WIFI disabling it where my IPad can't even connect with the WIFI network (not the first time this happens). It also has great difficulty connecting with servers (also not the first time this happens). This has become so annoying that I keep Norton VPN turned off on my IPad 5. You should employ software engineers to do updates to the app. The grade 12 students you hire don't seem to have the knowledge required. It seems every time an update is done, the app gets worse. ✓ It's okayI've tried many VPN's and this one is eh. It doesn't communicate well with the other Norton apps. I have this one saying I'm not protected and my information is public. Then I go to the 360 app and it says VPN is on. Then one says my network is safe and the other says network not secure and privacy warning. I'm not tech savvy so I only know what the apps are telling me which is conflicting and confusing. Oh and I'm not a typical customer. My data has been breached over 75 times. My information is for sale on the dark web. I have app developers, 3D map developers, programmers that stalk me in person. People will walk next to me with a split screen of my phone and the other screen is me while they access my camera. Every brand new iphone is lacking certificates of authority. I'm unable to encrypt my mail and messages. I get denied certain features regarding my phone is MDM program but I don't get this through school or work. ✓ I like this app but has some cons!It works only 75% of the time u will half to restart ur phone to get it to connect sumtimes. And u can only choose a country I think it would be better if you can change state or change how often it changes location, it says I’m in one spot and one spot only no matter how meny times u turn it off and back on. ✓ Junk Mail Still Comes Into my HotmailI’m still getting hordes of bug scammer/junk email into my Hotmail account. Their return email addresses are obviously bogus! I got this program solely to eliminate this problem!!! WTH? My Bell email works well because they have their own bug fixer. ✓ Keeps turning itself off and I have to re-log in…I liked it better when LifeLock and Norton were one entity. Since they’ve separated , I have had issues , most of them revolving around having to restart the app when I check in on it to see if its working ( The VPN no log in one :Ironic , huh?) . It makes me re-log in . Shouldn’t it just work period? That’s the whole idea . I should be able to change where the server is , and used to be able to, but now it just turns itself off when I click on app , have to restart it , and it defeats the purpose of being a ‘no log in vpn’ . I talked to someone on other side of world for a long time a couple months ago to try to get the LifeLock billing correct and separate from Norton and besides the fact I couldn’t understand what he was saying half the time , he tried to sell me something I already had a version that allowed me to have 5 devices (I have a few) and to log into each one individually just to get it running was a pain , but like I said in above paragraph…each time I have to re-log in! ✓ Functional, but has its quirksI’ve only been using it a couple days, and for the most part it seems pretty reliable. Sometimes it drops the VPN connection after establishing and initial connection, but it usually recovers. I’m not sure if this is a problem with the app or the WiFi network I’m connecting to. After installing the app, for reasons unknown, I could never connect to a server after accepting the terms and conditions. This went on for several hours even though I could access several other Norton sites. For whatever reason it finally started working. I was about to give up on it and try another app. One minor annoyance that should be an easy enhancement would be to support landscape mode.
