RNI Flashback for Negative User Reviews

Saving to camera roll freezeThere is a very annoying bug, when you save to camera roll the app freeze and there is nothing else to do but force to quit. I think for an app Worth 6 dollars one should expect not to have such a bug. I would like to be able to swipe the photo left and/or right to go to the next or previous film simulation (filter) instead of keep clicking on the small circle at the bottom. I would like to name and save a particular film simulation so to apply it again on other photos of even better batch select/apply. Most of all I would like to be able to save to camera roll without the need to force to quit and relaunch the app afterwards since it freezes every time. On a six dollars app that has been out there for so long time, I would think that the developer would have debugged it from anything. If I knew about the bug I would not have spent six dollars in an app that can even take a photo. I would like my money back..Version: 2.3.3

Save presets/recipesAs an avid film shooter I can honestly say that RNI Flashback is the most realistic film app ever made. It's adjustment sliders have really filmic attributes, unlike anything I've seen. For instance, the "highlights" slider actually makes the skin tones look incredibly filmic, to the likes of Kodachrome. It's unique to Flashback. RNI's other apps don't work the same way, nor does professional software like Lightroom. My ONLY complaint is the inability to save "recipes." I spend quite some time clicking through the films, getting the look just right. I'd like to use that same look on multiples photos, but it's impossible. Please add the ability to save presets to this near-perfect app..Version: 2.3.3

Refund PleaseThis app is not what I thought it would be. Requesting a refund as soon as I can..Version: 2.4.43

Waste of moneyThey will turn into weird colors and you can’t change that. waste of money.Version: 2.3.3

Not bad......but it could be improved. - The grain is as mushy as the one in the RNIFilms app, and by default it is always generated at the half strength, it would be very useful to be able to turn it off completely in prefs, currently, one has to do it for each new photo loaded - By default, it generates ugly scratches, dust and dirt at the half strength, so just like the grain, it would be great if it could also be turned off globally - The smily face and the well done message after each save is annoying - Why only the PNG format for export in the latest version?.Version: 2.1

Waste of moneyLike playing a slot machine. You have no control at all over the result. Don’t waste your cash..Version: 2.4.2

Nice filters offered but crashesI really love all of the filter options but this app often crashes and I have to delete it and reinstall it for it to work again. Also, it would be great to be able to save favorites or adjust the strength of the filters..Version: 2.3.3

MehI was expecting a more manual editing software but its just a bunch of filters. Waste of money. Dont get this app..Version: 2.4.2

Great tool, excellent resultsThis is a great tool and the results are truly excellent. So, why only 3 stars? The developer is lazy. This is not a camera app, it’s an image processor. There is no reason why this shouldn’t work on the larger, more appropriate screen sizes of iPads other than the developer being too lazy to create those versions. Given the choice, I will always transfer images to my iPad (from camera or iPhone) for processing. RNI, please, give me that option..Version: 1.0

Am I being prankedI downloaded on my iphone 11 pro max, and find that i am unable to edit the filters as advertised. I downloaded on my ipad thinking it's just my phone but even worse, the image is so small and had so much white space between the pic and the button. idk, i was excited to use because of the good reviews but oh well..Version: 2.4.43

Mixed feelingsFirst I'll start off with the things I like about the app which are: 1. The concept is cool that you get unique images each time you use the randomizer 2. There have been great images that have resulted from using Flashback The cons: 1. I wish there was a way to reduce the strength of the filter outcome on pictures there were times where it was a bit too much for my personal preference 2. I have the iPhone X and the app screen size ratio is not compatible at all with my phone there's black borders all around the app which is annoying since my whole phone screen could be put to use..Version: 2.3.3

This app is a waste of moneyI can’t believe I paid money for this app, which just randomly applies filters to your photos. Don’t bother..Version: 2.4.34

Love it but...I really want to love this app. The film looks are so unique and cool. But, with the device of have (iPod Touch) whenever I go to render out a photo(75% of the time) the app crashes and I loss that film stock. 😭 If possible could you guys fix this. Love it bunches. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾.Version: 2.3.3

Problem with exportingGreat app, one of my favorites! but the past few weeks I haven’t been able to export my photos, it’s just been spinning..Version: 2.4.2

Ok but needs workProduces some nice effects. But the "advanced" mode needs something to help the user know what the settings they are editing are. Also, advanced mode needs a reset button.Version: 1.0

It’s missing somethingIt’s a good app that does most of the work for you but it lacks support for some raw files. I also think it needs the ability to export some image created in this app to RNI film app, this will allow you to further develop your image.. One major thing it lacks is the ability to save a preset and apply it to other photos (adding favorites do not persist between images)..Version: 2.4.41

Fun but too limitedThe randomly generated filters can be absolutely amazing and also utter trash. But that’s part of the fun of it. However, the lack of “save filter” functionality completely handicaps this app to the point that I’d consider it $4 wasted..Version: 2.3.3

Cool App but needs updateThis is a pretty cool app that does as advertised. However, when I pay for an app, especially as much as I paid for this app I expect the developer to do basic updates like optimization for the latest iPhones. The iPhone X has been out now for almost a year and the app looks outdated with the black bar at the top and bottom. Honestly, this makes me not want to use or recommend the app. Update and I would change to 5 stars..Version: 2.3.3

Not working on iOS 14Not saving photos to camera roll.Version: 2.4.36

Not as good as their free appWhile I can’t recommend the RNI free app highly enough, this paid app was a bit disappointing — doesn’t rotate into landscape mode or allow you to see full size image. However, some of the random film effects are pretty good, so not a complete waste..Version: 2.4.41

Orientation? It really is irritating that something as simple as having landscape orientation is not integrated into this or Colibri when RNI films can be used in landscape. How hard is it to integrate this feature? Most iPads sit in a landscape orientation when in a stand, many images are landscape rather that ‘portrait’ and so having the orientation automatically switch depending on the position of the iPad would be useful. The effects are great but I don’t use the app for this reason whereas RNI films is an app use all the time with Snapseed. Please sort out the orientation issue..Version: 2.4.35

Fun photo app No iPhone XSuper fun unique app. Needs to be updated. On iPhone X the highlight slider gets cut off and is hard to use. For that reason I would not suggest this for iPhone X users until this is fixed..Version: 2.3.3

Nice butLove this app. I wish it could be integrated in my Lightroom workflow but a desktop version isn’t available and not sure if it can be integrated with Lr Mobile. Also, some looks are amazing but they are generated once and cannot be saved for application on another photo for a consistent look across a photo shoot. Lack of a saturation slider is an issue. Also the white interface is incredibly straining on the eye, it should be dark like Colibri..Version: 2.4.45

Flashback vs ColibriWhat's the difference between Colibri and Flashback? The same apps....Version: 2.3.3

Doesn’t work with latest iPhone update?I’ve LOVED this app for experimenting with different editing looks, but it doesn’t seem to work with the latest iPhone update. Halp!.Version: 2.3.3
