DoneApp - Track Healthy Habits for Negative User Reviews

I’d pay a one off fee to make the app just do its jobThere’s obviously a tricky balance between making a simple, streamlined app to do one thing well, and earning compensation to support the apps development. IMHO this app has the balance entirely wrong. Every launch has a “limited time offer” nag screen. Most recently a second unskippable “new feature” video. This is without any in app purchases activated. I’d pay a one-off price to remove those but an annual subscription is unreasonable for the feature set I want (being charitable, perhaps it’s worth it for the features I don’t want.).Version: 3.2.2

$9.99CDN too much for this.IMO just a little too expensive for what this is. I know ppl gotta make a living but still - feels to high..Version: 1.10

Do not pay for this app (long term review)I was an early paid customer of this app. No problem paying to support a good app that I used regularly. It did the job well. Support was generally non-responsive but they fixed things in time. Now they have changed the model to a subscription model and began to ruin the experience of users who had purchased the app by having an annoying splash screen every time you open the app. Now I can no longer create a new habit without accepting an upgrade to the subscription model. I am not looking for new functionality but the developers have now taken away my ability to use the app I paid for. It was people like me that supported the development of the app in the early days and it's hugely disappointing to be treated like this. I'm moving to Streaks which seems much better..Version: 3.2.4

Great design but slowThis is a colourful, well-designed app with a lot of great features. It’s great to be able to track my progress so easily. However, it’s much slower than before. When I tap, it doesn’t register immediately. iOS compatibility issue? And I’ve emailed support twice, but no response!.Version: 2.0.6

Wont loadUnfortunately app won’t load at all and kicks me out as soon as I try to open it..Version: 1.19.1

Done with DoneI purchased and loved this app for so long!! But then they started inserting an upgrade offer that I have to click through not just once but twice EVERY TIME I OPEN THE APP. I paid for this app—I shouldn’t have to be subjected to this. I wrote several complaints with no reply. I don’t need to make a habit of declining an offer. I’m done..Version: 3.6.4

Pretty goodThe app seems very good in the adds, and looks like you can have a good range of different habits to keep up with. When you download the app and start adding your own habits, it doesn’t let you have more than 3 different ones without the premium pass. It would be a lot better if it would let u add more than 3 habits. The app is a great way to keep healthy and keep the same routine daily, weekly, monthly and yearly..Version: 2.13.0

DisappointedI used to love this app and it’s been crucial in helping me manage my adhd and make sure I take meds etc, but the updates have completely ruined it for me. Since they added the “limited time offer” ad it’s ruined the functioning of the app (the limited time also repeats itself every 24 hours so there’s most likely no end in sight for this). All the buttons are massively delayed in activating and it even freezes when scrolling. I emailed the developers a few times and they haven’t responded or changed anything. Hugely disappointed, im going to find a new app, even though this one has several years of recorded habits for me..Version: 3.2.2

Cancelled membership - Expected to Pay AgainI’ve been using this app for quite a while now and really enjoyed its design and functionality. The only reason I’m giving it one star and have decided to delete the app is that my full unlimited membership was cancelled without any reason or prior warning. Now I need to buy a new membership to enjoy the app without limits - a membership I paid for in the past. This is not the way to treat loyal users… Btw. the promo they’re running is not genuine- the 90%+ off full price renews right after the promotion ends..Version: 3.5.0

Crashes.I am actually really disappointed. I don’t know if this is a me problem/if it’s something to do with me or my phone and not the app, but for some reason when I try to open the app, it just crashes. I tried restarting my phone to see if it would solve the problem, but it didn’t. I mainly downloaded this app because I saw an ad of it and it looked really good and I wanted to try it out myself, but now I even can’t because it won’t let me in the app. I still don’t know what to do, because I don’t know if it’s my phone or the app. I’m sorry for this negative review, I believe that your app is wonderful, but I really want a solution to my problem. Thanks. ☺️.Version: 2.0.5

Fix your purchase restore button and the pop-up!The pop-up to get you to upgrade happens twice every time I open the app and is driving me crazy. I also can't create more than 2 habits right now because even though I have previously upgraded to premium, the "restore purchases" button isn't working. This WAS a pretty good app for tracking habits, but these 2 things really need to be fixed. It looks like lots of other people have been complaining about the same things in the reviews for a while now..Version: 3.6.4

Unresponsive developperThe app has always been good to me. Sometimes last year the app started getting buggy. I assume it’s because I don’t have a subscription because I bought the legacy app 4-5 years ago. I wrote several times to the developer trying to get some answers. I am more than willing to pay again, for the same app, if it can solve the buggy issues. Would love a reply. Thanks.Version: 3.7.3

Make one time paymentThe latest updates has changed things. I do not like it. Also make it a ONE time payment. I’m not paying annually $75 ANNUALLY or even $12.99 that’s ridiculous I’ve already spent nearly $100 that should be enough forever, especially if you’re going to change things and it’s not doing what I need anymore. Your app was great, I would have given it 5 stars, but now you’re just being greedy like every other app out there..Version: 3.1.0

Dishonest MarketingOffers free year for growth bundle but charges you anyway. Not honest with their marketing..Version: 3.6.3

Could be so much betterNice and clean UI. Too bad they insist on annoying you with a “Claim your free bundle of other products we have that you clearly don’t care about” with nearly every app launch once you’ve subscribed. Dear devs, I don’t want it nor care for it, please give me a setting to hide this ad as having an ad in a product I already paid for is not acceptable. Also, the “count down from” goal is a great idea, but they have an off by one error as the first press doesn’t do anything. If you have a goal of less than 5, its six presses on the “+1” to reach 5/5. Five means five, please fix it..Version: 2.3.0

It’s actually kind of funny how crazy this is!I downloaded after seeing an ad on tiktok and it looked very helpful but it’s definitely not!! My biggest reason being it only allows you to have 3 habits before you have to PAY THEM for making a CHECK LIST lmaoo! First, I wanna get this out of the way, the tiktok ad… false advertising! Nowhere did I see that on the video! The only thing that could be argued as a “warning” would be where it says there’s in app purchases but that could be anything. A majority of apps I see with that and are similar to this one (aka self help apps), the in app purchases are extra bonus features. An example is on an app I have to do a daily check in, one of the extras are videos teaching you about mental health such as anxiety or stress. That makes sense why it would cost extra. The main function/feature of the app doesn’t cost anything unlike this app! This leads me to my next point… I believe this app is a scam! Honestly, who would benefit from having only 3 habits on their list?? At that point it’d be easier and cheaper just to write the list down either as a check list or even a sign in your room or something!.Version: 2.13.0

Not what I paid forUpgraded to have unlimited habits but can still only add 3. The app consistently asks me to upgrade, acknowledges I have already paid for it but doesn’t allow me to use the features properly. Have emailed and messaged on Instagram a week ago but no response except from a bot asking me to sign up as an influencer for the app. Completely dissatisfied. Do not recommend..Version: 3.5.0

Dishonest and greedyThis app used to offer a one time purchase for the premium features, which I paid for. It’s now asking me to pay a subscription to access features that I’ve already purchased. Customer support finally responded to me after numerous ignored emails and told me they wouldn’t honour my previous purchase and that I needed to pay for the subscription. These people are crooks, do yourself a favour and use any other habit tracker on the App Store!.Version: 3.2.2

My lifetime access was revoked and they won’t talk to meI bought the lifetime premium version years ago, soon after I started using the app. Months ago it suddenly got revoked. No explanation, no warning. The “restore purchases” button does nothing. The app insists I have to pay them another twenty quid to keep using the bonuses I bought “lifetime” access to! I’ve emailed support five times, I’ve sent them my purchase reference and screenshots of my confirmation email, I’ve submitted screenshots of the app pestering me to buy the upgrade I bought years ago, and NOTHING! No response at all. The issue has persisted past multiple updates, and at this point I suspect it’s never going to be resolved. So be warned - that “lifetime” access they want you to pay for apparently doesn’t mean much. 🙁.Version: 3.5.0

ConfusedI downloaded a fair few habit tracking apps to try them all, and liked the look and feel of this one the best. That said, once downloaded this looks nothing like the App Store preview. I can’t seem to find a way to add monthly or yearly timeframes - only daily or weekly. I also can’t find a “quit” habit. The previews also show a streak / calendar view which I have not been able to find either. Has this app been updated with features removed? I purchased the annual subscription to see if these were premium features, but there is no change other than unlimited habits now available. Bit confused and disappointed. Would appreciate developer feedback, and would definitely suggest the listing is updated with updated visuals..Version: 2.13.0

Can’t open the appIt doesn’t even load, I click it, it opens, it crashes. I’ve tried deleting it and reinstalling it and restarting my phone..Version: 1.19.1

The upsell is relentlessWhat a great app. It does exactly what it says it does. Easy and elegant UI effective reminders. So good that within 2 hours I had bought an annual subscription. Yet even with that purchase I get relentless prompts to buy the package of apps every time I open Done. This would be an easy 5-star app if you could disable the relentless nagging to buy their app package for stuff that most people already have (better) apps for, like calendars and task managers..Version: 2.5.0

BrokenGlitch does not recognize or let me purchase the new year new me bundle. So I cannot add more than 3 habits..Version: 3.6.3

What’s going onSo I just downloaded this app not even five minutes ago and it opens, then just takes me back to my home page. Not sure it’s a bug and if anyone else is experiencing this, but I am sure not impressed..Version: 1.19.0

Needs shortcuts integrationPlease add apple shortcuts support, would help a lot. having to delete the app because there’s no point having it if i can’t automate things really quickly (i have adhd and a single notification won’t cut it, especially if i’ll have to open up a separate app to log stuff).Version: 1.20.0

Was 5 stars for past few years until most recent updateI have been using Done religiously for several years now and it’s been 5 stars all the way...until they recently did something that now does not allow me to see all my goals in one view. I followed all the FAQs to troubleshoot which didn’t work and eventually sent in a support request a few days ago and never received a reply. I have been a “premium” member for all this time so it would be nice to at minimum get an automated reply that said thanks and we’re reviewing- but I didn’t even get that. I do understand their move to the subscription model but I think that should be applied to new users, not people who already bought the app with the understanding that our purchase price was for the entire thing as a one and done deal. Hope they fix these issues soon - I want to remain a fan..Version: 1.16.0

Crashes immediatelyI click on the icon and it won’t even open just crashes.Version: 1.19.1

CricketsI paid a one-time $7 premium upgrade in 2019 and have been using the app off & on since then. Now, all of a sudden with no warning, since the latest upgrade, I’m getting a nag screen every time I open the app that “minimizes” to take up space on the bottom of my screen trying to up-sell me to Premium which I already purchased long ago. Not only that, but the app is now slow/jumpy/doesn’t scroll quickly like it used to. When I try to contact support, I get no response. I liked the app for its simplicity and tracking but it’s not something I’m going to pay $60 for. I don’t even understand the pricing listed as it still lists a $9 One-Time Premium Upgrade. But I already paid that in 2019. So why would I pay for the app AGAIN when it doesn’t even perform as well? Plus just because the company decides to go with a subscription model, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t honor previous purchases. I WON’T be paying to upgrade. The app will be deleted soon if the nag screen continues and my previous purchase is not honored..Version: 3.2.0

What gives with the downgraded widget?I’ve been using Done since May 2020 and while I love it as a habit tracker, the old widget is what kept me consistent. It seems like not too long after iOS introduced embedded widgets on home pages, the new widget has become useless; I kept waiting to see if an upgrade would bring the old one back, but nope. It used to only be available on the far left widget page, which I didn’t mind scrolling to bc it was visually and functionally just like the actual app. I used to be able to expand the widget to see all 15 of my habits/chores and I could press the number on the far right to log that habit as done - just as you would on the app. Now, you can only see the progress of either 1 or 4 habits with zero interactive capabilities - clicking on the widget just opens the app. Part of what made tracking with Done so effective for me was how frictionless it was to access bc that far left widget page is also one swipe away from the lock screen. Ever since this change, I don’t use it as nearly as much and rarely find myself in the mood to log my habits retroactively. Please bring the old widget back! 🙏🏽🙏🏽.Version: 2.5.0

Used to be GreatI really used to love this app but like others have said, recently it has just stopped working for anyone needed support, with a previous premium subscription, or who wants to get rid of pop ups. I also had a premium subscription that seems to be invalid now? I’ve had it for years and the other apps continue to work but now It “can’t restore my subscription” and customer service has been of little help (they replied once again trying to get to me buy a subscription when I was already a premium member and haven’t replied to either of my other attempts to contact them) Not to mention the constant upgrade pop ups that are made even worse when you already have paid for premium It worked great up until maybe 5 months ago maybe less. Really sad that it is not working well anymore it was one of my favorite apps I hope they sort it out..Version: 3.2.4

Avoid app - No support for paid version of appBeware before spending your money on this app. Support is non existent. Look elsewhere for a habit tracker app that you purchase if support matters to you. For some reason the developer of this app is obsessed with doing complete overhauls of the app for what appears to be no gain to its users other that introducing bugs. This used to be an excellent app during the version 1 releases. Then version 2 and 3 releases followed with major bugs that in some cases still haven’t been fixed. One other major change is the developers obsession with using the smallest possible fonts everywhere. Earlier versions had clear large fonts that made it easy for users to use and interact with the app. Again if someone is paying for an app you would think that the developer would provide some level of support. Any message that get sent to the developer reporting bugs never get a response. All other paid apps from the app store have someone that responds to support messages and address bug reports. Hoping the developer sees this message and posts a response on why there is zero support response offered to those who paid for the app..Version: 3.2.0

Can no longer see a tick for done todayI pay for the app and have lots of habits. I’ve recently updated to the latest version and instead of a tick for the day the tick now shows if I’ve met my goal for the week or not. I can no longer easily see the tasks I’ve completed that day and what is still left to do (before every habit had a tick or no tick for the day which was easy to see as I worked my way through them). It’s no use to me without this so I’ve started using a different app..Version: 2.13.0

Extremely annoying upgrade modalsUsed to really enjoy this app and its simplicity but recently started using it again and would get an “upgrade to premium for a discounted price” modal every time I cold started the app. This was incredibly annoying and completely antithetical to how simple the interface is otherwise since I had to close it with the tiny x button every single time. I finally relented since I wanted to add more habits than the standard version allowed, and they charged my card the full (and absurd) $60 instead of the promised $10. To add to that, I *still* get infuriating modals every time I open the app telling me to upgrade *yet again* to the Growth bundle. I now have to talk to customer service to get refunded the difference and the app remains not worth using regardless because I get this modal every single time. Devs/leadership telling the devs what to do, please don’t make your users close this modal more than once. It’s obnoxious, intrusive, and has lost you at least one user..Version: 2.2.3

The app is not quite mature and devs seem to focus elsewhereThe app is a great start but I’ve had to turn off notifications because I still get nagged for things I’ve completed. And I get nagged to log my activity even when I’ve done everything that day. Was hoping the devs would continue to tweak it but the last two updates have been trying to sell their other apps and push a subscription model. Will stop using if it carries on like this.Version: 1.9.1

I was excited too:/Doesn’t even let my in the app that’s all I have to say.Version: 1.19.1

Amount of goals you get without premium is ridiculous.I thought Done was going to be a great app for tracking my goals until I actually downloaded it. You can only have three goals unless you pay $80 for premium, no point in downloading this with a limit of 3 goals. Not great and pretty disappointed..Version: 2.0.6

It’s good, but could use some easy improvements for night shiftersI work night shift at a hospital so I typically go to bed around 11am. This causes my daily goals to be reset halfway through my day. They have in the settings an option that lets you change your days start time which helps fix it, but only lets you go as late as 5am. Why limit it to that? Why not allow any time? They let you go back to previous days to fill it in, but it’s annoying to have to go back to the previous day every time you want to add to it. Also if you use their widget to easily update your goal, even if you change the start time to 5am, it clears the goal at midnight. That’s not that bad though because even though it looks like it’s starting over on a new day, if you go in the app it’s still adding it to the correct day in regards to your start time. I like the app but a few simple fixes could make it way better for all night shifters..Version: 1.16.5

It didn’t even let me in the apppI can’t believe it.Version: 1.19.1

Done with DoneI wish I could do 2 reviews - one for the app, and another for the developer. The app is great - simple, stable, easy to use, motivating. I have used it for over a year and was willing to pay its going rate (a one-time fee). I thought it was worth the low price. Now the app has gone to a subscription model and the price has skyrocketed. To be fair, the developer has given me a period of time to upgrade to the subscription model at a good discount. But the fact is that this is a pretty simple app that doesn’t get updated very often, and rarely adds new features. Seems to me a subscription should get me a lot more than a bug fix a year and no real new features. And what I liked about Done was that it really needed no new features - it did just what I wanted and the price for that was fair. I see that almost every similar app costs, so I will have to pay for something. But unless the app gets frequent updates or features, I won’t be paying for anything on a subscription model. Too bad - Done is a great app - but I’m done with Done..Version: 1.15.4

Paid for app then changed to subscriptionI paid for this app when it was charging a one off fee for the premium version. I loved the app and used to it monitor changing eating and exercise habits while I underwent a 34kg weight loss. But it then changed to a subscription service and it’s just not worth paying a subscription for. Now I feel ripped off because I paid for the app and I can no longer use it for what I paid for it..Version: 1.16.5

APP UPDATES HAVE RUINED ITHate recent updates. Loved this app for years but just recently they have inexplicably REMOVED functionality - for instance, habits can now only be daily or weekly, not monthly or yearly. It also used to display a tick when you’d completed a habit that day, which was incredibly useful, but that’s gone now too. It’s like they’re moving back in time and releasing earlier, worse, versions of the app. WHY??? UPDATE: and now they’ve messed with the ordering of habits and I’m not able to change them back to the order I want; they’re locked into groupings by frequency. I will not be renewing my paid subscription..Version: 3.0.1

Save your money and buy something elseI purchased the full version but I can’t add any more than three habits, the offer to purchase the bundle never goes away and when I restore my purchases or try to purchase it again it just goes round in circles. I’ve emailed support twice and have had no response or help. If I could I’d give a 0/5 which is a shame because the app has great potential.Version: 3.5.0

Too big, too little, too expensive100mB for a tracking app that relies on basic steppers?! Then you want to try and ask for over 12$ to unlock more than 3 habits? Would not recommend, there are many better, free options, or even options under 3$ that are great and worth it..Version: 1.13

Great concept, frustrating executionLove the idea and the app itself seems easy enough to navigate, however every single time I open it I’m bombarded with a full page ad to “upgrade” to a subscription service. Has completely killed any interest in using it, the only habit it’s formed is sighing in frustration at dismissing an ad before I can log my goals throughout the day..Version: 1.17.3

Great app but functions can improveI have been using this app regularly. Love the design and simplicity. The sync between apple watch and mobile app is inconsistent often giving me different counts. The two apps are not in sync. I rely on my watch app to keep tracking up to date and unfortunately this is not working for me now. I have paid for the app and now I’m annoyed. Please resolve this asap..Version: 1.8.1

Used to love it, horrible customer serviceI loved using this app to build structure and work on habits I developed during the pandemic. However, since using it - if I delete on of my “ goals “ to add a new one, I can’t get it back (even though I have less than the max amount for my subscription). Since the fall, everytime I open the app it offers a discount for premium. You cannot get rid of this screen even if you don’t want the discount. Since I can’t seem to add any new goals - I’ve tried to activate the discount but it always tries to just immediately charge me full price. I’ve emailed customer service about it MULTIPLE TIMES, never heard back. There’s no phone number listed, only an email with no response. I loved this app but this feels really bad and confusing. if you have like 3 goals and don’t care about having to exit out of a false discount offer everytime you use the app - this could be good for you. Otherwise I highly suggest folks look elsewhere for probably an equally effective service. Shame on you “done” team..Version: 3.0.1

Promotions on app, won’t go away and hinders app performance.I’ve been using this App for a couple years now and it has been great with really helping me build good habits and stick to them. I’ve built a daily routine and use the app daily. Unfortunately I now keep getting promotions to claim my offer on the Home Screen, which won’t go away and hinders the performance of the app and doesn’t allow me to use the app properly. Ex. I try to scroll down, and then it thinks about it and then it tries to delete a task or now it takes 30 seconds to mark off you’ve completed a task. (When I don’t have the promotion add. Marking off a task takes 1-2 seconds). I have emailed support several times and have not heard back from them. I am now going to look for an alternative app which allows me to use the app as expected to help me stay productive, vs now un-productive. Very sad to see this wonderful App, take a turn for the worst, just to upsell you. There are better ways to accomplish this, than hindering the performance of the app itself..Version: 3.2.0

Updates have made it worse!I loved this app and still use it daily. However, I’m considering finding something else since the updates that have been made have made it less usable! It’s a shame! I can no longer add monthly or yearly goals, (eg. Wash car once a month, or Go to Dentist twice a year). This was a big pull for me as, as a woman, I like to plan things on a monthly basis according to my energy levels through the month. Weekly doesn’t work for me. I really hope you rethink this as I know a lot of women are increasingly beginning to plan in this way. The fact this app allowed for monthly planning was a big pull for me! On another note, the fact you cannot choose the habits that are shown on the widget is really annoying. Also the monochrome widget option shown in the photos on the App Store doesn’t seem to be an option for me. Which is misleading and frustrating as it’s much more aesthetically pleasing than the coloured widget. Overall, used to be a great app, but please reconsider the changes! And update the widgets..Version: 3.1.0

$499.99 for an app??This is hilarious. You’re either grossly overestimating the value of your app, or you’re straight up lying to trick people into thinking they’re getting a good deal. Neither of those options are a good look..Version: 3.6.4

I’d give a 5 star review but…I’ve just got the basic free version with only 3 tasks, it’s great and I’ve been loving so far and I haven’t had an issue with functionality PLUS I don’t need any more than 3 tasks so I was very happy until today. I go to make an update and I’m basically being forced to sign up to premium if I want to continue because I can’t click on anything other than the box that says claim my offer. BUT I don’t NEED premium. Why would I ultimately end up paying $90 a year for some I don’t need??? NOTE TO DEVELOPERS: don’t say you have a basic free version if you don’t. Say it’s a trial. I don’t like being forced into purchasing something that I don’t want or need. So if I can’t continue using it with just three tasks for free, I’ll find something else. Sadly chances are if I’d continued using it, I may have found other things I want to track and upgraded or at the very least told my mates about how cool it is. Not likely now..Version: 3.2.4

Do not purchaseOver 2 years of non-existent customer support, the app slows down more with every update, reported glitches have never been fixed and have actually gotten worse.Version: 3.2.0

Developers please fix this app!!TLDR: I love this app, but I can’t currently recommend it with the insanely long lag-time. Really hope it gets fixed and they re-institute some of the old features. Currently testing with another habit tracking app because the lag time has gotten so bad. Such a bummer. Full: I’ve used this app for several years to track habits and I’ve loved it—but recently it’s become frustrating to use. It is laggy to the point where it takes several minutes to input my habits for the day. Only allows day and week habits (previously offered monthly & yearly habit tracking). Additionally the advert for subscribing is annoying—it’s constantly “counting down” to when the offer ends, but it just restarts the offer when the countdown runs out 🙄 DEVELOPERS: Number one priority is speeding up the responsiveness. It is incredibly slow!! - Return the swipe date feature! (It was swipe right at top to go to yesterday.) - Requesting being able to add monthly and yearly goals. - Current division of habits (by day, week, month) is not my favorite—too much empty space on the interface. I could see more of my habits in one glance with the old interface—I liked when they were all grouped together. Maybe make it an interface option to sort alphabetically or by frequency of habit..Version: 3.2.4

ScamI paid a one time premium upgrade, and now they are asking for more money after removing features I paid for back in the past. Don’t trust the app.Version: 3.5.0

Now doesn’t workUsed to like this and went back to it recently. I’d previously paid for lifetime use, then on reinstalling it, I now get this annoying message asking to upgrade to lifetime package. This blocks some of the screen. Even when I click to upgrade and it accepts I have paid, still the message pops up. Can’t add new tasks now either. Tried to reinstall but still getting the message. Now unusable. Contacted the support team but no response, now hoping to get refund. Wouldn’t recommend..Version: 3.5.0

Removal of features makes this app no longer perfectI miss the ability to see how long ago I last did each item. The removal of this feature was very disappointing & makes me unwilling to update this app again in fear they’re just going to remove more features with each update. I don’t understand why they would remove the ability to see when you last performed an action, and move it to an entirely separate application. I don’t want to have to check or use multiple apps for something so basic. Done was so perfect before and helped a ton with habit building, but with the splitting of these features into separate products, i am looking to see if another app exists with this combined functionality. Furthermore, I hate that I had paid a one time fee to get premium features and they decided to switch to a subscription model. Very disappointing..Version: 2.13.0

Did I just waste my moneyI have just payed for the premium version of the and I see absolutely no difference????.Version: 1.19.2

Update has made the app worseThis app was really helpful in tracking my habits / routines etc, but the new update has made it a bit frustrating to use. You used to be able to easily swipe between days (e.g. if you forgot to track something from the day before, you could go back and change your data), but the new update has erased this feature, so now you have to go into the calendar and select which day you want to go back to - essentially it just takes longer (they could’ve added the calendar and kept the swipe). The app also used to have a streak for the habits that you managed to do everyday (e.g. I had a 14 day streak for crocheting everyday), but this new update has gotten rid of it ?? It’s almost less incentive to consistently do the habit because you can’t see how long you’ve been doing it for (the streak was like a mini achievement). Please bring the old version of the app back! Or at least add these features back..Version: 3.0.1

Mini rant about an decent product with poor premium experienceI’ve been using the premium version of this app every day or so for the last few months to track habits and goals, especially since I’m under going diagnosis for ADHD. It’s nice to see the streaks and monitor my consistency - And the app gets the job done. But today, I had to write an email to the support team because every. single. time. I open the app, I get an ad for their “bundle”. Why am I getting targeted to buy their apps when I already paid for one of their apps?! It doesn’t make sense!! It’s not encouraging customer loyalty!! It’s not keeping in mind user experience!! It’s taking advantage of a customers willingness to pay for something with trust that they will be getting what they paid for!! This app is not special. I don’t need it. The marketing and app development teams need to remember that in order to sell more premium subscriptions, the product and experience need to live up to what it is marketed as! I feel like this is fundamental!.Version: 2.2.5

One time payment has turned into subscription modelWhy.Version: 3.2.1

GlitchySuch an awesome idea of an app. Love the simplicity of it. It is eye catching and easy to use. Such a shame though it doesn’t work properly. I can’t set the start of the week to the day I want. It just reverts back to Sunday. Also when I flick through past days it then brings that information forward to ‘today’. I’m peeved I just paid $15 bucks for an app that is this glitchy..Version: 3.2.0

An Exaggerated Sense of Self WorthI despise marketing which incessantly push their other products into your face. These developers believe that if you use one of there products you must use them all !!! After restoring years of archive history to a new phone, the app continually tells me I have UNLOCKED A SPECIAL GIFT and I can’t get rid of the message !!!! So after years of using the product I’m forced to say goodbye. I refuse to enable this sort of company arrogance!!.Version: 3.1.1

Excellent app, questionable pricingDo NOT subscribe through Done. The prices are more expensive. I wanted to buy this app, but it seems like the one-time purchase is no longer an option. I swear it was there a few days ago, and I read a MacRumors app recap from August 23 that mentioned the $8.99 one-time upgrade. In the Apple Store, both Done and the Growth Bundle state that the premium upgrade is available in-app. However, the only options in the app are $20/yr for the standalone app or $30/yr for the bundle. Maybe they changed their pricing scheme and haven’t updated the descriptions. However, pricing isn’t consistent across apps: the others offer the Growth Bundle subscription for $19/yr, which makes the annual subscription for Done more expensive than the entire Growth Bundle. I’m really disappointed because I wanted to support this app, but due to what seems like price gouging, I won’t. If you must, I’d recommend subscribing through one of their other apps. And if you’d like to purchase one, not subscribe, the four apps besides Done and Tally are reasonably priced at $3 to $5. It would honestly be cheaper to buy those four for life than to subscribe for a year..Version: 1.15.1

When will the sale bug be fixed?!😤I’ve been patiently waiting for the sale bug to be fixed and it’s been MONTHS and nothing has happened! I’ve paid for the full membership and it’s still not working. I’ve emailed 5 times and no reply. This incessant ad is infuriating but even more infuriating is paying for an app that’s not working and having zero customer service response. I’ve been patient because I love this app but months with no response and no update is ridiculous. If the bug is fixed I’ll change to a 5 star review but idk what’s going on..Version: 3.6.4

Extremely disappointed that a subscription is neededI’ve been using Done for years now, since the beginning of 2020. I have always loved the app and decided to purchase the full version to unlock unlimited goals because I thought it was totally worth it (and it was). While the app has stayed almost exactly the same since then (not many major updates in my opinion that should change the value of the app), I’m incredibly disappointed that the purchase I made years ago is now not being honoured and that I need to pay a subscription fee to continue to use the app as I have been. Truly, it is a rip off to make someone pay a subscription for this app - a one time purchase makes a lot more sense given that the app content is rarely changing/improving, and even if it was - I can’t see how it could be worth an ongoing subscription unless I’m getting a personal motivator who is actively pushing and helping me reach my goals. Shame on you Done for making this greedy change. Honour your long time purchasers and don’t rip off new users with a subscription (BRING BACK ONE TIME FEE). I once loved and recommended your app to everyone I know, but will think twice before doing so now..Version: 3.2.0

There should be no ads on a purchased premium versionI’ve purchased premium and there are repetitive ads on there that show up before I can use the app. You have to manually dismiss the ad in order to use the app. Absolutely unnecessary and irritating..Version: 2.2.5

ScammersI tried to add a new habit only to find out that it wants me to subscribe to a monthly or yearly plan. I purchased the premium version of this app a few years ago as a one-time payment. Now, it says I need to subscribe. Rip off..Version: 3.2.0

Could use some improvementI appreciate the simple design, the colors, the interface, and the vibration when a habit is complete. The premium is great but doesn’t come with that many more perks. Some improvements or features that can be added to the next update are: - a quick jump between today, yesterday, tomorrow. (instead of clicking on the calendar then day). Like a line with the days of the week over the “all day/ morning/ afternoon/evening”. - being able to select which day weekly habits repeat (you can’t do this now, it will automatically repeat on the day you created the habit). - not asking you every time if you’re sure you want to undo adding a tally to a habit - add monthly habit option - update emoji selection - summary % of how many habits completed overall per day -summary chart has one overall chart for all habits so you can follow trends. - more color options. - health app sync improvements (glitch doesn’t correctly track the number of steps). - being able to include times or timers for habits - having a habit archive: here you can dump a list of habits you want to work on and will add in time. - more appearance features. - adding an option of timeline for when you want to complete the habits each day. This app is great but an update is necessary. I would be disappointed if there isn’t one coming soon..Version: 3.5.0

Somethings wrong.I’d love to use this app, I saw it originally on TikTok and thought it was a great idea as idea really love to get some healthy habits, like making my bed and not forgetting to eat. I’ve downloaded this app twice now, and each time, it downloads fine, but when I go to open it, it just closes. Please fix whatever this problem is! I’ve been looking for an app like this for a while!.Version: 1.19.1

Done reviewRip off, make a free app😂.Version: 3.0.1

Incessant ads for premiumNonstop “limited time offer” ads for premium. all have fake countdown timers to incite FOMO. the same offer is presented to you again and again and again with refreshed timer so it’s false advertising “limited” offers. Why are you so predatory towards users who aren’t interested in your premium to the point it ruins the user app experience????? find a balance jesus.Version: 1.20.0

Can’t even open the appWanted to try it but it crashes as soon as I tap on it. Deleted..Version: 1.19.0

Upgrade doesn’t workI made the mistake of paying for the upgrade but the app won’t apply it. Can’t create more habits and it keeps spamming me with ads to upgrade, even though I already did. What a waste of money!.Version: 3.5.0

Why’d you remove monthly habits?Paid for this app years ago and was still using it but since it’s just getting worse and worse. I liked having daily, weekly and monthly habits so now I can’t track monthly stuff? Why remove that its ridiculous. deleting the app. 🙄.Version: 3.4.0

Really?Would like to make more than 3 habits, subscribe to our growth bundle for $73 a year! Hahahaha what the actual fk is this.Version: 1.17.0

Huge disappointment.Wow. I cannot believe how this app turned from being so beautifully simple to un unbearably slow and glitchy. The previous update had already messed with the functionality of the app with all its promos for bundle buys and restricted choices. After updating the app to the newest version, scrolling was incredibly slow or the screen kept freezing altogether. The next time I opened the app, my habits of five years were gone, things that I had meticulously wanted to keep track of, and the app had reset to yearly subscription. I am unable to restore to the lifetime purchase I had initially bought and can only work with three habits. This app has become incredibly frustrating and now a ripoff for those who had already bought what was a then dubbed ‘lifetime’ access. I’m beyond believe. I loved using this app for years..Version: 3.2.4

Weekly habits are bad. Widget is bad. Reminder feature is bad.I started using this app a while ago so I still use it because of habit, but the widget use to be much better. If you could at least go back to sorting the habits on the widget that would be great. I don’t understand why the 4 habits on the widget are preset and I used to love being able to move the habits into/out of the widget throughout the day as I completed the morning ones and the evening ones still needed to be done. Now I’m stuck forever with 4 random habits on the widget which makes it pretty pointless to me. Also, regarding the reminders setting. I remember previously, that you would only get a reminder for a specific habit IF you had not completed that reminder before that time of day. I don’t see that option anymore and it’s annoying to get reminders for things that I already did. Please bring that feature back. ADDENDUM for version 3.0.1. Weekly habits now start on Sunday and end on Saturday, yes this is the case even after you go and specify in the app that you want your weeks to start any other day than Sunday, your weekly habits will start counting since Sunday and end on Saturday. Extremely annoying. Please fix this soon!!.Version: 3.0.1

Not worth itDefinitely not loving it. I bought the premium membership thinking it would make organizing easier but the premium membership is literally just for you to create more than 3 habits you can track. Nothing extra. Also if you really have this app to stay organized it’s pretty annoying. There’s no way to organize it in ascending or descending order based on what’s already completed for the day. If you have a bunch of habits you have to keeeeep scrolling though to see what hasn’t been done despite the reminders option it still would be nice to see it upfront. Also it’s color coded and shows bar graphs for each individual tasks… why would there not be one full graph showing which tasks are completed more than others? These just seem like pretty basic features the app is lacking especially for something you have to pay for. Not a bad app but should be free 100%. I can’t imagine recommending it to anyone just to keep a to do list that you can’t stay fully organized with..Version: 3.0.0

Used to be AMAZINGNotice that all of the rave reviews are from 1-4 years ago. I’ve used this app for 3 or 4 years—a LONG time. It’s a huge part of my day, it’s how I remember to drink enough water, workout, stretch, take my supplements. It also has great stats and charts to track how many times you’ve reached your goals throughout. It’s fun to know my water intake for an entire year, and to compare stats from year to year. Unfortunately, in the last six months, each thing I love has slowly dropped off, one by one. I lose stats consistently, stats I’ve been collecting for years. It crashes. And now every time I track something, it automatically doubles or triples and I have to go in and ‘undo’. I’ve attempted to reach someone many times, with absolutely no answer. It’s like they’ve given up and abandoned the app. Really disappointed I’ve recommend it a ton and loved it for a long time. I now have no choice but to find another app to use. :(.Version: 3.0.1

Currently unusableI’ve relied on this app since paying £5.99 for it a few years ago—I use it more than I check my emails. Yet for the past few weeks, an ad demanding I pay £9.99 a year for unlimited habits—which I thought I’d already paid for for life—pops up every single day, counting down the hours until the “special offer” runs out. This makes the app so difficult to use, as it’s painfully slow and I can’t add any more habits. Why can’t I opt to reject this, as I paid for my lifetime access years ago?.Version: 3.2.4

I don’t need ten appsKeeps asking me to upgrade to a bundle I don’t want for a price that is extraordinary, would be perfect if all functions of all the apps were in one app for a reasonable price..Version: 3.2.0

Used to be great, too many recent changes and glitchesI started using this 2+ years ago and loved it. It had a lot of customisable options and synced well with my Apple watch. About a year ago they started updating and making changes to the design. Initially it worked fine but as of recently there has been issues. My apple watch doesn't update as it did. I can't add tasks that are tracked over a month or a year any more, can only do days or weeks. Today they changed the view to go by day, week or month... What was wrong with the previous one where I could arrange the tasks my self. Now it's not reading the count for the week correctly. Instead of starting the week in Monday, it's counting from last week, seems to be a glitch. I'm sticking with it as I've paid for it, but if you are a new user, I would no longer recommend this app.Version: 3.0.1

Dishonest gougingThis used to be one of my favourite apps and have been using it for years. It was a one time purchase which they’ve now purposefully slowed down to unusable unless you buy a subscription. Pathetic and shameful..Version: 3.2.3

What!!!😡😅This app is so bad I saw a add about it on TikTok I told myself wow 🤩 this will help me for not being lazy but I could not even use it it took really long to download when it finally finish I click on it and it kicked me out I could not even see anything about it.I turn off my phone because I thought that it was my phone but it kicked me out again.I was looking at the comments on the add on TikTok and a lot of people said they did not have a chance to see it kicked them out like my.☹️I don’t know how to some people it is working some people said that you need to pay for some stuff I don’t know they say it doesn’t work this is why I gave a one star.I understand if your fixing it right now or something but you should of at-least told us that you are fixing it!!! A lot of people spend their time to look at this app and just for them to get kicked out,are you for real.I will still have the app just in case hopefully you read this because I want you to fix this thank you for your time!!!😅😡.Version: 1.19.1

Excellent Before Update - Removed FeaturesI used this app with much success to create and track habits. Not just daily or weekly habits, but longer term goals that would span across a month or year. This was incredibly helpful to see progress on goals both on a micro and macro level. Sure, I may want a daily goal for drinking a certain number of cups of water, or a weekly goal to get a number of workouts in per week. But what if I want to track a goal to contribute to a charity some number of times a year, or to try a new local restaurant some number of times a month? The previous version of the app allowed me to do this, and it was a major part of the reason I stuck with it and recommended it to others. If the developer restores this functionality, I would revisit this review. I haven’t heard back from their support team having asked a few times now about this issue over the last few months..Version: 3.0.1

Used to be so goodI *purchased* the premium version of this app years ago. It was great, I used it everyday. Now whenever I open the app I am given an ‘exclusive offer’ to upgrade to the premium version. This ‘exclusive offer’ never ends. I can no longer access the premium features that I previously paid for, I cannot restore my purchase. I emailed the developers twice and never received a response. Total scam, they took my money and now they want more. Do not recommend!.Version: 3.5.0

Don’t buy this app!I have been trying for three months to contact the support team to help me with my subscription. I want to continue with the app but need some help and I can’t get it. Will need to switch to another habit tracker app because of the lack of support..Version: 3.7.0

App wont open - subscription just renewedConcept of the app is fine, when you remember to use it. The subsceiption renewed today which reminded me to use it. Ive cancelled for next year - the notification says that I can still access the app for the next 12 months since the payment has been taken…. But i cant open it. Will give it 24 hours. If it cant open i would prefer the subscription refunded..Version: 1.19.1

Not happyI’ve loved this app for a year now, but in the last week it’s updated - so I can’t see my streaks which is the biggest part of my motivation. Also, I changed my subscription but was charged the most expensive option - what the hell?!! Why did you mess with a great thing?.Version: 3.0.1

NoI can’t get into it.Version: 1.19.1

Do not buy. No support responses. Ever.APPLE SHOULD REMOVE THIS DEVELOPER FROM THE APP STORE. Horrible experience. Zero support. I purchased a lifetime license for Done, yet every time I open it I get a full-screen ad asking me to purchase what I have already bought. I have emailed the developers via the email address in the app, and almost FOUR weeks later, no response despite me emailing them 4 times now. The app is good. Using it though is a horrible experience due to the ads which is extra irritating when you have already purchased what the incessant ads are promoting. If the developers finally fix this issue, I will delete this review. I am not holding my breath though. P.S. I switched to Onrise app. It’s way better. Much nicer UI. No horrible ads either..Version: 3.7.2

Latest update is awful.I have used this app for over 4 years and loved it. Last year it crashed for a few weeks which was ridiculously frustrating. Then it started working again and I was so happy because the UI is perfect and it’s the most intuitive app I’ve used which is why I pay for it and keep using it. They just pushed a new update last week and it’s TERRIBLE. The UI is totally different, I can’t see my total streak anymore anywhere in the app, which is so frustrating. The main screen uses to show me how many days or weeks in a row I’ve kept up a habit and they just removed it. They replaced the font with one that’s smaller and harder to read. They removed swiping between days and replaced it with a calendar “choose” option which is infinitely more difficult to use and takes so much more time. I loved swiping between days. Overall this app is going downhill. I don’t know why they continue to change stuff, it was perfect as is. Change it back, then leave it alone!!! I’m searching for a new app because this one is really letting me down..Version: 3.0.1

Purchase doesn’t register no customer supportI really enjoyed this app, found it incredibly useful so I paid to be able to add unlimited habits etc. however months down the line the app has still not registered the upgrade and will not allow me to add new habits. I’ve emailed their customer support line many times and had no response from them. It’s a real shame because the app is great apart from that but it’s completely ruined it for me and has become less helpful as there are new habits I want to track and goals to set but I have been unable to do so..Version: 3.6.3

Please fix this issueDespite paying for a lifetime subscription, every single time I open the app there is a message that pops up telling me to purchase the lifetime subscription. I shouldn’t have to deal with this frustrating ad considering I’ve already purchased. Its been over two weeks now and this ad continues to pop up every time the app is opened. Would like this fixed..Version: 3.6.3

Won’t openThe app won’t open for me and I’m not sure why?.Version: 1.19.1

AwfulHi It’s now going on 3 weeks after numerous emails and dms I still have not been contacted . Your app that I paid for is still not working please contact me.Version: 3.2.0

Great but frustratingReally easy to use and great for keeping track of workouts and such. However, the constant pop up to ‘claim my offer’ that says it will expire never does and not only does it make the idea of getting the offer less appealing but also just counts for an annoying pop up that doesn’t disappear even though it says it will expire soon. Apart from that the app is great it’s just hard to use sometimes when every button you press brings the offer up!.Version: 3.2.3

CrashesI couldn’t even open the app it crashed every time I tried. 0stars.Version: 1.19.1

Paid for membership but never got itI paid for lifetime membership but never got upgraded from basic. No one replies to support email.Version: 3.6.3

I liked this app, but now…I have been really enjoying this app, finding it useful and using it every day. Since the 3.0 update 2 months ago I have had an issue with the main screen not showing the correct progress for my weekly goals (I have my week set as starting Monday instead of the Sunday default). Also, when I enter info for a goal with a custom count, an extra entry is being added by the app. I have contacted support 4 times and have had no response from them and the bugs are not fixed with the updates. And now my previously purchased one time upgrade to premium has been revoked and I’m being forced to enter into an extremely overpriced annual subscription. I’m very disappointed with these recent happenings..Version: 3.2.0

Other reviewers please use the report scam functionalityThe developers changed the app. It was a quality one time purchase app, now they’ve turned it into a low quality app with a subscription. Their positive reviews and awards are unrelated to the current app which is just here to scam old customers and new people..Version: 3.2.2

Great app but slowI like the the design and function of the app. I’ve been using Done for almost 2 years now and it’s a been a great companion for habit tracking. The only thing that bugs me is how slow and unresponsive it can be when tapping on a tab and when viewing habit data. For a simple app, this is unacceptable and it should’ve been fixed long ago. The unresponsiveness kills the whole experience of entering data as quickly as possible, which is why I’m giving it 2 stars..Version: 1.18.1

Claim the offer I paid forI need customer support to get access to the lifetime offer I paid for. I like the app. Aesthetically pleasing. Easy to use. Motivating. But I need help : I am stuck with the free features only. I paid and I want to get access to all features. I want to add an habit and I am limited. I would put 5 stars for the qualities of the app Down to 4 stars because of bugs (regularly need to restore purchase cause the app turn into free access mode) Down to 2 stars because I don’t have access to all the features I paid for Down to 1 star because the company is not responsive. Does not answer email nor Facebook messenger.Version: 3.7.0

Bad recent update and unresponsive customer serviceI’ve been using this app since 2020. I paid for the premium version. Since the recent update I’m no longer able to add any additional habits and it keeps prompting me to upgrade to premium with an annual subscription. I’m unable to restore my premium account and I’ve contacted the developer twice now with no response. Very disappointing. I see I’m not the only one who has experienced this. I’ll no longer be recommending this app to family and friends..Version: 3.2.4

Nice app, terrible pricing modelDone is a really nice, functional app. But there are constant prompts to upgrade to a premium bundle with a high-pressure countdown timer to warn that the price will go up to $75/yr within a few days. Does this mean that I would have to pay $75/yr going forward to keep using it? Super not worth it. No info is offered as to what the restrictions on the free version are, or whether there’s a one-time purchase option for just this one app. I’m not going to get in the habit of using the app if I have no idea what the real long term price will be..Version: 1.17.1

-Idk if this is the apps problem or mine but after downloading the app exits itself within a minute of opening I’ve tried everything but it won’t open, so I can’t really right a fair review but if this is a bug please... FIX IT.Version: 1.19.2

BadWould be a good app if they didnt lock everything behind a paywall..Version: 3.2.4

Was better before the updateUPDATE: Data corrupted!! After updating to the latest version I lost a bunch of entries and now my 75 days streak is broken up into smaller stretches. I was a yearly subscriber but I will now be uninstalling the app. Huge disappointment. With the recent update, the interface is a tiny bit sleeker but it's become extremely laggy at times (I have a recent phone). Some functionality such as removing a habit doesn't seem to work at all. For a product with a recurrent pricing model, I was expecting the product to get better over time -- not worse. Another complaint I have is about privacy. The app itself can be locked with a passcode. However, it seems that the app pushes hints to Siri, so sometimes you will see "add one count to habit X" on your home screen. It's not something I opted in either. I generally don't leave reviews but as I have been using this app daily for several years, I sincerely hope the developper can fix these issues..Version: 2.1.0

Good for the first two daysThere is a premium purchase choice that pops up every 5 seconds in the app and you can only make one or 2 habits before you either have to delete the app or buy the premium. Bad for every day.Version: 3.0.1

Latest update doesn’t workThe latest update just crashes - can’t get in at all. Downloaded 30th May 2022. I love the app - very useful when it works. Downloaded next version 3rd July 2022. No longer crashes - just hangs in startup so still can’t use the app. Looking for a replacement app to track my habits. Second software release on 10th June seems to have made the app work again. So someone somewhere can tick that off as DONE. In the meantime I have been using an app called Streaks which is great..Version: 2.2.1

Pretty good but improvements neededI like this app after about ten days of using it but I’m running into one bug and have a feature request. The bug is that the widget week always starts on Sunday even though I have the tracker set to start the week on Monday. The feature request is to have a calendar view as an option with ability to swipe between screens for each habit. So for example my “stop drinking” habit would have the normal tracker/progress bar at the top with a calendar view of the full month or last 6 weeks at the bottom. And I could then swipe right to go to the next habit in the same view. I would find this more motivating for longer streaks. Finally the give feedback, request a feature, and contact us links in the app don’t work so not sure if the devs are still working on this app or not..Version: 1.19.1

Have to PayThe app has a great idea going for it, and I know it’ll help many others the same it’s helped me. The purpose and the ability to customise each task is amazing, and super helpful. However, you have to pay for a subscription as soon as you go to add a fourth task. Seriously? Three tasks and you have to pay if you want more. It’s such a ridiculous concept to have people pay simply for more tasks, and it’s such a small amount too. At the least let people have 5 or something before having them pay a subscription, but 3 is way too low..Version: 1.16.5

Changed my mindI wrote a review a few months back about how much I loved the app and how unobtrusive the upgrade prompts are, and they immediately switched to a very annoying (and misleading) daily countdown to try to strongarm me into an annual subscription. I’m sorry but this app is not worth $75 CAD/year (seriously are you out of your minds? It’s a colourful checklist). I liked that this was a simple and straightforward app that was pleasant to use, and I don’t want badges or prizes or achievements to unlock. I would like to continue using it as I have been - happily and for several years - without these pressure tactics or unnecessary bells and whistles..Version: 3.2.1

It has become unusableI paid for this app a long time ago. I liked it’s simplicity for keeping track of goals and streaks. Now every day they offer me a special offer for a subscription which cannot be dismissed and sits in front of the text on the page. I am also unable to add new goals. Very annoying since I paid for it. Deleting..Version: 3.2.0

App developers are scammersBought the premium version of the app for the one time purchase option that was available at the time. They’ve now introduced a subscription model, removed most of the functionality that I had with my existing version (for example, can’t add more than 3 habits), and constantly keep trying to get me to sign up for their subscription model….all of this for what is a very basic app. How is this even legal?.Version: 3.2.0

Please stop with the countdown of “special offer ending”Since my last review about the annoying countdown offers, there are now TWO overlapping ones. Please please please stop all of this. *** This supposed “limited time special offer ending”countdown has been on the app for years - please think of something else. I’m still never going to pay for pro, because there will likely be something else annoying always popping up - and the temptation for removal of this incessant “offer” pop up would be the only reason to do so. It’s the oldest, laziest trick in the app marketing playbook, and it’s tired. Please do better..Version: 3.6.2

App is brokenI’d previously give this 5 star but it’s latest updates have broken it. My streaks aren’t syncing properly. It seems the app cannot understand my week starts on Monday and keep count accordingly. Very frustrating The issue has been ongoing now for weeks now. Is the clock set to one particular region as my new week attempts to start Sunday morning rather then 0:00am Monday. Sorry if this sounds more like a customer complaint then a review but the staff seem to ignore any emails I send PLEASE FIX and I’ll revert my review back as the app use to be great.Version: 3.2.0

Used to love it, now it is brokenI have use this app for over a year. And it has been fantastic. I have not had any billing issues like some of the reviews talk about. I pay for the app on a yearly basis and have no problems with any weirdness regarding unusual billing. The problem, however, is that they have done some updates recently that have basically broken the app. I no longer look forward to using it. I just updated it again today and restarted my phone and it is still terrible to use. The problem is when you try to check off some thing that you’ve done the app now takes four or five seconds to register the click. and after you have clicked a habit, the app becomes hard to scroll, and will register that you’ve clicked on things that you haven’t. I will not be renewing this app when my yearly subscription is up if these issues don’t resolve..Version: 3.2.2

DesperateNot only does this app rely on being constantly “on sale” for the premium subscription, which presents pop-up banners every time you open the app, coming off as nothing short of desperate to get you to sign up. Furthermore, recent updates appear to be more geared towards aesthetics than functionality. The most recent of which actually made the app less intuitive and less of an incentive to keep up streaks, by removing the streak count from your daily goals..Version: 3.0.1

Needs a few tweaks4 years ago I tried this app however the reminders even after tasks had been marked as complete was annoying. Unfortunately this still hasn’t been resolved from what I gather. Up until one of the most recent updates you used to see how many days in a row you’d completed a task when marking it done. Now you have to open the tasks to see the streaks which is a bummer. Other than that the app is great, I often complete all my tasks for the day which is great..Version: 3.0.1

Buggy in app purchase, no supportStay far away from this company - they don’t even bother answering their customer support. Horrible..Version: 3.6.4

Love the App, Customer Service Not So Much…I looked at every possibility before choosing this app, and I have to say it meets my needs 100%. Unfortunately I have what may be a simple question and that is how to make it work in the cloud between my iPad and my phone. Right now, it only works on my phone and the app which downloaded automatically on my iPad is blank and not in sync like my other apps. I’ve reached out to customer service through their contact section multiple times and have not heard back. This is probably a simple answer and I would change my rating to a five star if they would just get back to me to tell me how to do it. I really dislike having to use a review as a last resort to get their attention, but I also think potential users should know that there is an issue with lack of support. That should be the easiest part!!!.Version: 3.1.2

Intolerable promotional bannersI’ve been a long time paid user of Done and I still use it daily - does a simple thing really well. Some of the recent UI changes have been a mixed blessing but functionally it does just what I want. So I’d love to continue with it, but the incessant badgering to upgrade to a bundle with subscription pricing for features I don’t need or want is making it almost unusable. Every time I open the app. And I do mean EVERY SINGLE TIME! I’m presented with a full screen upgrade message I have to wait to dismiss, with a ‘limited time’ countdown that runs out and then just starts over. After which an ever present banner obscures the bottom of the screen. It’s a pretty bad sign when an otherwise happy user who actively likes and wants to use the product is so put off by such and utterly infuriating and apparently never ending ‘offer’ they take to an angry 1-star review just to say: ‘No, I’m okay thanks, just let me use the thing I paid for and let me turn off this promo PERMANENTLY.’ 🤯.Version: 3.2.7

Awful since updateI love this app. I use it every day for a variety of different things. Home, work, gym. However, since the last update it’s really gone downhill. Clicking the habits is really slow and responds poorly. The filters are also not working, so habits I’ve completed for the week are still showing in my list when they shouldn’t be. I like the new look, but the usability has really deteriorated and needs sorting..Version: 2.0.2

App lost functionality after payingThe app was great when I was using the free version with a limit of 3 habits. When I paid for the app I lost the ability to swipe between days and the total number of tracked days in each habit is not showing anymore. I’ve contacted support and have had no reply..Version: 3.0.1

HmmmWell i’ve been using this app for about 4 weeks now and i’m not really sure i’m going to carry on with it. the fact it has a monthly subscription surprised me for an app that is basically like a note pad. You could quite easily just write down your habits into the iPhone note pad and keep track that ways. unless you want a reminder to do something then this app is for you. it looks too basic to even warrant spending any money on it monthly. i think this app would be better charging a one off fee rather than a monthly fee..Version: 1.16.1

Won’t openJust downloaded it and when I click on it it looks like it’ll open but just takes me back to my homepage. Writing this review so others like me can see it’s been happening to others too. I’ll wait until they fix this but not for long. Looks like a cool app but no idea what it’s like as it won’t open.Version: 1.19.1

Great app, however…I have used for years, but for some reason latest update is super flaky. User Interface and functionality seem to have gone backwards, and incorrectly displays number of task completed, which is in essence foundation functionality. 🤞 next update is just around the corner..Version: 3.0.1

Backwards upgradeThe last update now means I cannot add a new habit even though I’d paid for a lifetime as they now require a subscription. Doubling up to screw money out of customers. Functionality of latest upgrade also poor, now have to find the date in a calendar you want to check instead of the simple swipe and it adds a count of one every time you add a custom number. Developers need to take a good hard look at themselves..Version: 3.2.1

Beware of “gifts”!! A scam! The app advertised a deal to upgrade for an annual price deal of $12 but it charged me full price $73 instead! This is disappointing and misleading to the consumer and I wish I could get a refund or at least the $12 price I was expecting. Definitely not worth $73 for this app..Version: 2.10.1

Great but…Amazing but won’t open anymore, just flashes and returns to my Home Screen :(.Version: 1.19.0

App no longer workingI purchased the upgrade several years ago and have been using this app religiously. Simple, straightforward, exactly what I needed. I was happy to find I could also add this app to my Apple Watch, but realized this past week that the app was no longer syncing. So, I updated my watch, uninstalled then reinstalled the app to the watch, updated the app on my phone, removed the app from my phone and reinstalled (which deleted years of data that wasn't recovered when I reinstalled the app), restarted phone, restarted Apple Watch, tried to restore data from backup, quit app restarted phone and app again. Now it appears that the app not only doesn’t work on my watch, but also doesn’t work on my phone. In addition, after the update on my phone I was forced to do a trial subscription which I have no interest in, so immediately canceled the subscription. All I see is a blank screen when I open the app. Really disappointed, this app has been a staple for me for years but if they have moved to a subscription model, I will figure out another way to track my habits..Version: 2.2.0

Note properly supported on the iPadDeleted this app after installing, the compatibility on the iPad is not really what i expected when the app only fills half the screen on forced portrait mode with no landscape mode support, the newer iPads mainly using landscape mode with the stands / keyboard cases so Turing the iPad sideways and only having 1/2 the screen in use is not worth it. This app may be good on phones but i would of preferred something that i could use on both my iPad and iPhone. I would not of downloaded the app if i knew it was not properly supported on the iPad. Shame because it could of been a very useful app..Version: 1.14.3

Not what's advertisedFirst of all, this app does not work on iPad. I can maybe understand this incompatibility if it at least said that plain and simple on the app store. But instead, I wasted time installing it just to not work at all. Even after that small hassle, I downloaded it on my phone. I was beginning to believe this system would work for me, until I realised this is practically a subscription. You can hardly use the app at all, certainly not in a useful sense, without spending money every month just for an organisation app. This was not said in advertising at all. Thanks, but I feel sorry for people who actually install this then start paying money to these people :).Version: 1.19.1

Nice app, but ridiculously overpricedI like this app and have used it for a year and found it very useful. The catch is that the initial subscription price was £10 annually, which was fine. The renewal however was over £50, which is ridiculous, and not worthwhile at all. There doesn’t seem to be any way to renew the subscription at a sensible price: offers keep popping up but when I tap to accept the offer only the full price is available. There’s no way I’m paying £50 a year for such a simple app, so I guess it’s goodbye..Version: 2.13.0

Great app but is crashing every timeHas worked well for a few months. Excellent user design. But now it’s crashing. When I try open it, it just returns to home page. Help?.Version: 1.19.1

I’m apparently on a subscription with it and need help because I can’t figure out how to cancel itI don’t remember ever signing a subscription with them but its in my active subscription section on my apple settings and it says that it’ll renew later this month i don’t know how to cancel this or if it’s going to immediately draw the money from my account I also am unsure how to contact anyone for help and would really appreciate if I could get some.Version: 3.6.3

Great but…I’ve tried lots of habit trackers. This one is amongst the best. Amazingly most don’t allow you to have a habit over a year with a numerical count (ie read 12 books a year), such a small and obvious thing to include. Two things that do need addressing 1. Adverts for their other apps when you’ve paid for this one is not acceptable. No one wants to pay and get ads. 2. The short term special offer got me on board but given there’s no life time option, I will be hunting for an alternative until that runs out. The functionality is too simple to copy to justify that payment model..Version: 2.4.3

Didn't get what I paid forI paid for the lifetime premium membership and never got it. The pop-up constantly reappears asking for me to buy the membership again.Version: 3.7.2

Good app but annoying pop up never stopsI really like this app, and I use it every day. But every time I open it, I’m shown an ostensibly limited offer for a reduced rate on the premium version. Every time I open the app, I have to cancel this notification, not once but twice. Every time I have to do that, just to log a habit entry, I think about deleting the app and finding an alternative. Please, can you give me an option to disable this permanently? I would love to give this five stars, because the UI is excellent and I like the graph features. But until the infuriating pop up is gone, I’ll always be eying the door..Version: 3.6.3

This is not a free app. Deleted it. Waste of time. You can only track 3 habits for freeThis is not a free app. Deleted it. Waste of time. You.Version: 3.6.4

I payed the 1 time fee. Why am I now forced to pay yearly?I payed for the premium one time fee a few years back. Why am I now forced to pay 79$ a year for this…. Sad..Version: 3.2.0

Mostly badI really like this app. It works with my ADHD. The app generally works fine, and it’s nice to look at. But, two things I don’t get. First, the color palette where I choose the background for my tasks changed today without warning. My old tasks still appear in the old colors, but I can’t make a new task in the old colors, only in a new, muted palette. So being who I am (and someone who relies on color coding), I have to go through and change alllllllll the tasks so they match again. Sigh…okay. Also, the ability to make a monthly task seems to have vanished. I made a monthly task when I first got the app, so I know it was an option before. Why? This is so basic. EDIT: Downgrading my review, because the things I mentioned were actually facets of the same issue. Since I got the app weeks ago, there have been countless unannounced design/format changes. Every time I add a new task, the creation process is somewhat different (ie, you used to be able to add tasks to custom groups; suddenly all my custom groups are gone and tasks can be sorted only by time of day). It’s confusing and makes me wonder if I paid money for a product that was incomplete. EDIT 2: Possible scam? I paid for a growth bundle and it only applied to one app instead of the whole bundle. In-app links for support/feedback are all broken. Nice. If you want to complain or request a refund, try going through Apple. Developer does not want to be contacted for some reason..Version: 3.2.3

Not happy.Hate the update!! Also changed my subs and it didn’t take the change and still charged me the old cost!!! I want to be able to see how long my streak is from the front page, not have to go in to each habit to see how long my streak is. Super disappointed..Version: 3.0.1

Long time user - disappointedI’ve been using done for YEARS, i track my entire life on it and i need to do so as i have a lot of health issues and a poor memory. it’s suddenly gone from being a one off premium payment to $98 A YEAR. this is outrageous. i’m not able to work due to aforementioned issues so there’s no way i can afford that. on top of that, they’ve throttled the app so that if you don’t upgrade to the new subscription then the app is too slow to function… so i haven’t been able to track things the last few days. sadly i’ll have to find a different, less expensive app and somehow move all my habits over..Version: 3.2.0

Can No Longer Add Habits Without Buying SubscriptionI used to use this app a lot and it was great, however I got out of the habit. I went back to trying to use it, and thought I’d adjust the habits so I deleted some and then tried to add some. I currently only have FIVE habits, and yet every-time I try to add more I am block, with an add telling me to buy I premium subscription. Its an absolute joke that you only get five habits now, I will be deleting this app and finding a better one to use. It’s a shame as this app is pretty nice overall (like a 4/5 otherwise), but it seems your greed got in the way of your app being actually usable..Version: 3.4.0

AlrightSo far it’s good I’ve made lots of “habits” and easy to make simple icons and colours for the aesthetic side of things but whenever I try to add or make a new task it keeps coming up with a new years thing that’s £20 which I don’t want to pay but it seems like I can’t use the app unless I pay it and it just keeps popping up when I press the + button and it won’t go away so that’s needs sorting immediately.Version: 3.6.3

The billing service is a scam.I have nothing to say about the application; it's great. But the billing service is a scam. I had subscribed to the promotion 7$ 1 year then price after but they changed me 54$. I disputed the bill but they told me they can't correct it and that it's a bug that happens sometimes. They offer me other services to calm me down without refunding my money. They are thieves..Version: 2.13.0

PotentialReally excited for this app! Currently it does not open, hope the devs will fix soon!.Version: 1.19.1

Expensive for what you getOnce you start setting goals you will realize this isn’t free and that this overpriced apps costs $12 and you just wasted 20 minutes of your time.Version: 1.13

Too many bugsHonestly, very disappointed with this app. Doesn’t seem to do the most basic functions and randomly adds tasks completed without me actioning. Defeats the purpose of what it’s supposed to do. Also paid for the premium version which is frustrating as there’s so many competitors out there so out of pocket as well Big thumbs down.Version: 3.1.2

Love it, but overpricedI only bought it because it was 70% off and still that’s way more than it’s worth. I think it’s a beautiful app but to allow people only 3 habits for the free version is ridiculous. This isn’t a very difficult app design so charging so much is crazy. As much as I love the design of this, I will not subscribe again next year for full price when I can find something cheaper to do the job..Version: 1.16.5

Too pushy with subscriptionI just wanted an easy-to-navigate app to help with building habits. Done app (free version) seemed to tick my very basic boxes. However when I open the app, a pop up screen with a ‘limited time offer’ subscription comes up. At first I ignored it because I thought it was a welcome offer for new users. However after a month I still get that pop up EVERY SINGLE TIME I open the app to check in. Which is annoying and defies the definition of ‘limited time’. Soooo, I will be looking for another app that isn’t so pushy with their subscription..Version: 3.2.4

Ruined by the recent updateI had been using this app as a tool to manage memory problems caused by a disability. The most useful part for me was the design on the widget which meant I could easily view a large portion of me task list from the widget page, completed tasks disappeared from the widget and a new task automatically appeared at the bottom of the list (arranged by a priority I set myself) I found this feature so useful and the format worked so well for me that I was happy to pay for a yearly subscription. Unfortunately the new update has made such hugely detrimental changes to this feature that the app is now not useful to me. It’s quite frustrating as it had taken me some time to find the right app for me to manage my disabilities and this was really working well, it’s no longer what I paid for and it’s quite annoying to now have the app change without warning or reason to something different to what i actually paid for. If there is a way to revert to the previous version I would be very grateful to know how to do this, however if there is not then I will be requesting a refund as this isn’t what I purchased..Version: 1.18.2

Non-functioning, developer ignores usersI started out loving this app; I paid for the premium ages ago, and enjoyed the app updates. However I second other reviews - the latest updates have broken the functioning of the app. Any time you click on a habit, even if you close the counter box, it adds a count. Pretty much defeats the purpose of a habit tracker if the app is always adding an extra count that I have to manually remove each time. On a personal note, I really dislike not being able to swipe between days anymore; the UI just adds additional steps to change the date - as another user mentions, it’s like the updates have taken the app backwards! The latest updates have removed features that are working well, and ignored features that are not functioning. I’ve emailed the developer directly and responded to their request for footage; I’ve had no response. It saddens me that there is no indication anything will be fixed; I really loved this app but will have to move to another one..Version: 3.1.5

RIP OFFHave been using "done" since the beginning of the year. About a month ago I opened the app and the screen is blank and I cannot see any of the tasks or options to reset. I paid for my premium account. Have tried to contact apple as well as the app developers and have had no luck in fixing the issue. I have also deleted the app and reinstalled it and the blank screen is still there. Honestly so disappointed!.Version: 3.2.4

Bug, please fix.I love this app - but this bug is very annoying. I’ve paid upgraded to the lifetime subscription even though I’m 100% sure I did that in the past anyway. Nevertheless I’ve done it again but it won’t let me past the subscription screen, it keeps on prompting me to resubscribe. But it’s taken the money from my credit card. I’ve tried everything from turning my phone off to rebooting the app and even deleting and reinstalling the app. It’s recognised that I purchased the lifetime subscription but won’t let me add new habits without pushing me back to the subscription purchase screen. Please help.Version: 3.6.3
