✓ A Classic, RebornThis game transformed my adolescent mind when it first arrived, and it’s a pleasure to report that the remaster retains all of its greatness (and that my mind remains properly warped). Fun, funny, clever, and bizarre, all the ridiculous twists have aged perfectly (like so many errant cheeses and WINES), and are married beautifully to a gorgeous graphical update. An update that, should you have the urge to wallow in your own pixelated retro-pool, you can readily switch off and bask in the glory of it’s classic look - bit tunes and all. It’s a pleasure to witness the ingenuity of the original side-by-side with the beauty of the remaster. The only caution I’d lend is that this is a classic point-n-click adventure game in the truest sense. If you haven’t been down this alley before (or if you have!) some of the puzzles are ridiculous and head-scratching, but if you go in expecting that madness to unfurl and ready to embrace it, you’ll be deeply pleased. ✓ Sweet Christmas!! DoDT is on the iPhone!!Cool my favorite game of all time is now on the iPhone! Comparing to the original, this is a straight up improvement. The HD graphics is an amazing update, the touch control is really well made, with a new hud wheel instead of the S.C.U.M.M. Control for a seamless touch experience. I feel like with the touch control and HD graphics, this is how the game should be played, great job guys for taking an amazing game and improve it even further! ✓ Great game, make sure you turn off muteFantastic game, remember playing it as a child, immediately purchased when I saw it. It plays really well however I had no sound and was puzzled how to fix it. Turns out I had mute on (even though I had sound). To resolve I just swiped up from the bottom of the iPad to bring up the control centre and pressed the button with the bell to turn it off. Now it works perfectly..Version: 1.1
✓ Incredible gameThis game is exactly what I was looking for! I miss the old point & click adventures from when I was a kid, and this is wonderfully done! Some of the puzzles were difficult but the characters were hilarious and I like how long the game was. I don’t like the press and hold to skip scenes. I missed some dialogue by accident because I would touch the screen thinking it was time for me to do something and I skipped stuff instead. And there’s no way to go back and hear it again. So that was frustrating. I’d rather have a confirmation do you want to skip this? ✓ Hilarious and a great game.I played Day of the Tentacle back when it came in a box with five floppy discs to install it. To see it getting remastered I had to try it again. It is just as hilarious, challenging, and addictive the second, third, and fourth times. I even have my ten year old addicted to the game. ✓ Takes you backThey don't make them like they used to, well they hardly make them at all any more. The good old days when point and click adventures were in fashion... it was all about story and using your brain while relieving the stress. No constant shooting or stressful gameplay, simply just sit back click your mouse and figure out puzzles. Maniac mansion was also a classic wish they would port that one to. But day of the tentacle is brilliant and it really brings back memories. This game does really well on iOS touch screen and I feel like iOS is a perfect platform for point and click adventures. And how great is it to have a game anywhere you go... well almost, wish they would bring iCloud saves so it's synced between devices as most people probably would play on iPad at home and phone on commute. That said this game was great then and it's still great to this day. All I can say if you're a point and click fan there's really nothing to thing about paying $4.99 for plenty of fun. Ps. The game play for this one is fun and quirky and the controls are easy unlike other point and clicks. ✓ Excellent!The only bug is as follows: when Hoagie receives a particular document from the present, it doesn't show the jon as backed up. Oh,and if you do the tooth puzzle before chopping down the tree, the cut sequence doesn't show the teeth chattering as they should have been. There. Minor, you say? Extremely minor. The only reason I mention these ridiculously minor bugs is to show you how much I know this game. I played it through twice, the second time with commentary on. Yes, it's worth it doing that too. This is one of the best adventure games in the history of gaming. The remastered edition makes the graphics perfect for today. I kept thinking how the little mannerisms of the characters, the voice acting (superb) and the amazing story, how they all tied up to make you laugh and enjoy yourself for hours. Try not to cheat, and the enjoyment will be ten times as much, trust me. This is my second Lucasarts game after Grim Fandango, and I cannot wait to see what else they have on the iPad. I missed the game at the time of its initial release way back in 1993, but the game holds up really well today. The updated graphics are of a classic cartoon style and are superb, as are the classic cartoon style voice characterisations and sound effects. The puzzles and jokes, which include cultural and historical references, are both clever and challenging but not too difficult. (Well, in most cases!) Highly recommended for all ages!.Version: 1.1

I recently replayed The Grim Fandango on my iPad and it was a fantastic journey down memory lane. I never got my hands on a copy of this title, so I was delighted to see it re-released for iOS. As expected of a LucasArts title, the graphics were great, story and dialogue really fun and the "controls" goofy. It was also at times very difficult to figure out what to do next, but that is what walkthroughs are for. This for me is more about nostalgia than getting a perfect 10 in problem solving. But because the three friends are stuck in time (one in the past, one in the future), you can freely jump around between three iterations of the same house, each iteration vastly different. With the addition of a time machine for you inventory items, you can send (most) things back and forth through time to a different character in order to solve puzzles. This layout and this inventory time travel mechanic creates an incredibly dense, thoughtful game that challenges you without ever feeling overwhelming. Games with larger, nonlinear areas can often feel overwhelming because you don’t know where you’re supposed to go, or whether you’ve exhausted all of your exploration options. For example in Grim Fandango I was stuck for a long time simply because I didn’t know there was a lighthouse I could go to, as the path to the lighthouse was not obvious. In DoTT, however, since the house structure is basically the same within each time period, you’re given a set number of rooms to explore, with very concrete problems to solve, and it’s just up to you to solve them. You should never feel like there are rooms or areas you haven’t found. The puzzles are also very clever and goofy without being too illogical or ridiculous. There were occasional spots where I didn’t know what to do next, but I was always able to overcome with just a bit of time to think. You’ll often need to switch back and forth between your characters to think about your inventory and where those items could be useful. The game is funny, and the interactions of the items with other characters or things are often entertaining to observe as well as a way to gain useful knowledge about what an item might do for you in game. For example (light spoiler) you have a green textbook in your inventory at the start of the game. I let it sit there without doing anything with it for a long time, until I was slightly stuck later on, so I tried to give the book to someone for them to read. I thought, hey maybe they’ll want to read this textbook. My character then proceeded to read the book out loud to the other character, and the character told me to stop or he’d fall asleep. This gave me an “aha” moment, as there happened to be another character in a different location that I needed to make fall asleep. Anyway I’m rambling. The game is fantastic. It’s dense, it’s smart, it’s hilarious. Remastered update looks amazing, and I just really can’t complain about any of it..Version: 1.2.1
✓ One of the best games ever.Truly a classic and was enthralled to see it in the App Store. The updated graphics were extremely well done, but I love that they also included the original graphics as an option. The same goes for the control scheme. Extremely polished and very happy with overall. File size is quite large, but that's the only thing I can possible gripe about. The quality graphics and sound were well worth it.
