Baby Led Weaning Recipes for Negative User Reviews

WasteThis app was a waste of money. You can get more info and recipes for free on pinterest..Version: 1.18

Don’t be fooled! You don’t get all the recipes!I purchased the app after questioning it for some time as it was obviously an additional cost opposed to the free apps out there. As soon as I paid for it I got excited, pen and paper out ready to get creative.. first recipe I try “click here to subscribe to our quarterly group for $$$” in other words.. couldn’t see the recipe. I thought my purchase just hadn’t gone through correctly, because after all I did just pay $10 for RECIPES!!! I then tried another and another, all with the same response. I’m actually LIVERED! how dare they sell you an app full of recipes only to take your money and demand more from you! I want a refund ASAP! In times like today it’s not fair they’re doing this!.Version: 2.0.11

You can find better !!You pay for the app but still have to subscribe and pay to see the recipes. Waste of money.Version: 2.0.11

Not worth the priceI purchased the bundle for $13.99 aud and still some of the recipes are locked. You have to pay more to be a “premium” user. It’s a rip..Version: 2.0.11

4 week plan doesn't work. The 4 week beginner plan doesn't work. Which is why I bought the app on the first place. I want my money back!.Version: 2

High sugar contentThe breakfast recipes contain a lot of added sugar. Will not be using any for my baby..Version: 1.7

Don’t waist your moneyYou pay for the app then you need to pay extra for some recipes. Why???.Version: 2.0.12

Not as goodFirst issue, started reading “the guides”. Bold of the author to assume that all families are “mommy and daddy” and that “mommy” prepares the food. Way to solidify toxic patriarchal stereotypes! Deleted the moment I read that sentence. Second issue, recipes repeat, just in a different form. How many ways can you make an avocado toast? Mashed avocado toast. Sliced avocado toast. My mind is blown. Third issue, recipes are not divided into age groups. You can’t just give a bunch of non-cooked raisins to a 6-month-old, unless you want a choking baby within seconds. This app and the cookbook is clearly written by someone who just heard about baby-led weaning and decided to make some cash out of it..Version: 2.0.12

Mostly goodThere are some good recipes which I have used from this app, but there are quite a few I wouldn't even cook because of the high sugar content. Maple syrup seems quite popular in some. Also quite a few with a lot of cheese which I just modified myself..Version: 1.13

Good buy why pay more ?I’ve had this app for a few days and i have to admit it is really useful knowing it’s low salt and sugar and being able to cook meals for myself my girlfriend and our baby all in one ! Some recipes also tell you when to take baby portion out and what to add for adults ! This could quite easy be a 5 star but a lot of the recipes are locked and to see them you have to become a member for something like £2 for 3 months which isn’t a lot at all but you already have to pay for the app and you don’t really want to think about a membership or wonder when you can get out of it as such ! I think it would be best if it was just added onto the price seeing as you have to pay anyway !.Version: 2.0.11

The steps are very vague and shortThe recipe ideas are nice but the steps are so short and not much explanation given and some of the steps were skipped. Not really convenient..Version: 1.18

Not worth paying forAverage recipes and not particularly toddler friendly.Version: 1.18

DisappointedI’ve had this app for a few years now and always go back to it. I’ve always been able to access all the recipes, so imagine my disappointment when now some recipes require payment every few months. Not happy about this..Version: 2.0.5

Very over priced appI would be happy to pay no more than $2 for this app. You can find more information by just googling baby led weaning. Wouldn’t waste me money if your thinking of purchasing. Very disappointing.Version: 1.18

Do not waste your $I know she put lots of time and effort On this, but not what I expected. Lots of recipes are just full of sugar or foods I am able to make without having to look for a recipe. I was hoping to get actual meals with pictures, also foods more appropriate for beginning of BLW and so on. I made the mistake of buying the bundle of 3 😭😭 this was money thrown to the toilet If you are someone who doesn’t really know how to cook, this is for you.Version: 1.13

Not greatI recently bought this app to make mealtimes easier with 2 children, however all the recipes I’ve made so far have resulted in undercooked food despite following the steps accordingly. Can’t help wondering if steps have been missed out or the recipes haven’t been tested. I won’t be renewing the subscription and will search elsewhere for mealtime inspiration. I also dislike that I paid for the app and then find I can’t access recipes. I wonder if the premium would also lead to inaccessible recipes too..Version: 2.0.8

Don’t waste your money!I found this app through the website and was so excited to get some recipes for my 10mo son. What happened is that lots of recipes are for subscribers (have to pay extra bucks monthly) and all of them seem to have some kind of added sugar. I wish I could have my money back, so don’t waste yours!.Version: 2.0.11

Great recipes, unhappy about the subscription feeI paid £5 to buy the recipes. Scrolled through and found some good looking ones I liked, however some of them you have to “unlock” by subscribing. I don’t mind this at all but maybe you should put them in a different section. I have already paid for this app so when it came up I couldn’t access the recipe I felt ripped off. I would happily take back this one star and set it to five stars if this was removed and put into maybe another section. How annoying when you find one you like then have to pay extra... it almost tricks you into buying. Don’t mix the ones I’ve already paid for with others. And advertise that not all of the recipes will be unlocked by paying £5... just feel like this is really unfair to the users who pay. You wouldn’t buy a book and have to pay to open the pages. Other than this extremely frustrating feature the app is great, food is great and easy to use..Version: 2.0.11

Waste of moneyMost of the recipes are not suitable for babies. Thing like sugar, salt and hard textures are present in most of them. I wish I could have my money back..Version: 2.0.5

Not all inclusiveYou buy the app... but then not all the recipes are free... I don’t like that. I don’t wanna spend money on something and then not be able to use the whole app?.Version: 2.0.7

Too bad for egg allergy...So many delicious and simple recipe ideas I'd gladly try myself. Unfortunately many of the recipes call for eggs, which my son is allergic to. Grateful that milk allergies are dealt with in this app at least..Version: 2

Wish I didn’t purchaseSo $5.99 for the app yet half the recipes are LOCKED! Such crap! I wish there was a money back if I didn’t like it in the first 5 mins..Version: 2.0.12

Why pay for the app and then pay more?I don’t get it! If I paid for the app, why do I have to keep paying to get all the recipes!? No! That’s wrong!.Version: 2.0.11

Paid for the app, don’t even get all the recipesWhat’s the point in paying for an app and then not having access to all of the recipes?? The fact that you have to pay for a subscription on top of paying for the app, or in my case, the app bundle, is ridiculous. I’ll be asking for a refund. There’s better recipes online for free..Version: 2.0.12

Feeling Let DownWhen I bought this app I had access to all the recipes. I paid for the full version. Now I find that I have to pay more for “premium recipes” even though I’ve already paid for the app. This feels like stealing. And it’s rotten. Once you pay for the app, the recipes should all be available. No adding them later and asking for more money. I’m not even sure why “banana pancake bites” should be “premium”. I would prefer my money back and to move on from using this app. Despite comments from the developer, my review still stands and is completely valid. I haven’t had any desire to use the app since I’ve been unable to access all content. For the price paid, asking for a subscription after the fact, is ethically questionable..Version: 2.0.7

Don’t buy for baby, buy if you have a toddlerI don’t like that only a fraction of the recipes are available... I could google recipes for free on my own. If you’re going to charge people for an app, don’t charge extra for different recipes. I should have read the reviews before buying... none of this is suitable for my 7 month old!! Such a waste!!.Version: 2.0.11

App ok but support group damagingThe App services it’s purpose giving you Recipes in one spot, requires some translation to use in Aus with measurements and ingredients. Recipes are basic and could be considered not true to the baby led weaning concept in some cases. Facebook support group has lots of bad misinformation about baby led weaning and discredits the concept of the App..Version: 2.0.9

CrashesEvery time I try and go back into my saved favourites the app crashes/closes. So frustrating. Otherwise a fantastic app. Lot of added sugar in some recipes though so I won't be using those.Version: 1.8
