Docket® - Immunization Records for Negative User Reviews

Doesn’t workDoes not work for people in the UK.Version: 2.2.29

UselessMy wife and I received our 3rd vaccine shots over 3 weeks ago. Still our records have not been updated. The app says the last records update was in early August. Refreshing does nothing. We got our shots at CVS and they have verified the state has the vaccinations properly recorded. You’re better off laminating your vax card and scanning it in. Update: one of the other reviewers mentioned that although the app doesn’t reflect the current vax record, it will show in the downloaded pdf. She’s right - I downloaded my pdf and shared it to my email, and it is current. Even that wasn’t working properly. When you hit the download button it just shows the spinner-busy forever. After about a half hour I hit download again and it miraculously displayed my pdf record. Not so much for my wife’s record. That’s been spinning for hours and no pdf. This app is a total fail - the idea was that it would be an easy and verified way to show your vax status. Nope. Also the page that displays the vax status has no identifiers for who it is so a person could very well be showing some other member of their family’s record to enter a space. Terrible app and the states should definitely look elsewhere for an app that works..Version: 2.2.24

Inappropriate Access to PhotosSigning up took some effort: a pop-up screen kept getting in the way and made it difficult to create the initial password, and it kept complaining that my 9 character password was shorter than the required 8 character minimum (I think it wanted a special character or number, but didn’t say so). After overcoming this road block, I provided the necessary info (name, DOB, etc.) and it correctly found my COVID vaccination info (although it kept reporting “Searching…”). However, I was taken aback when I selected the 3 horizontal lines in the upper-left (settings?) and clicked on the “Docket” in the blue circle and saw my iPhone photos. I’m not sure why the developers need access to this, so I immediately deleted the app. Nice idea, but not ready for prime time!.Version: 2.2.10

Carenina QI have rec’d my J&J vaccination and booster. Along with my husband and son. Everything was on the app for our vaccinations. All was working well for a while until we received the boosters. They were never updated on the app. Shortly after that, I purchased a new iphone and all of the information was erased off the app and now I am unable to even log on to the app, let alone find any of my immunization information. Its especially fun when you go to the city for dinner and then cant actually sit down to eat with your friends and family whom you haven’t seen in months because you can’t even get into the docket app to pull up your immunization records. UGHHHH.Version: 2.2.36

Very BuggyAt first it took days of trial and error in order to get the app to show my vaccination record of two shots. They have my name backwards. My first name is listed as last and last is listed as first. Last week my wife and I received boosters. Her shot appeared on her app the next day. Mine still hasn’t been updated. I logged out then in. It didn’t matter. However, when I click my NJ COVID record in the app I see my record clearly updated with my booster. I contacted the Docket app by email. They responded that I should contact New Jersey. Clearly, New Jersey got it right. I wish Docket would step up and do their job instead of deflecting. What good is an app that you rely upon as evidence of compliance if the app fails at delivering accurate data?.Version: 2.2.25

Confusing to set up and tedious to log inI eventually got my identity validated but it took about 30 minutes. It should have taken less than 5. They say you can email them for support but all I got back was an automated email telling me to contact my state health department. When I logged out and back in I had to go through the steps to select my state all over again. It does pull your immunization records down fairly quickly, mine took only a few minutes. It's clunky and basic but works..Version: 2.2.20

ImprovingWhen New Jersey first implemented this app it searched and found my immunization record but there was no way of viewing it. I spent way too much time spinning my wheels pressing every button trying to figure it out. I finally gave up. A few months later I decided to try again. Still did not work. But it’s important at this point. And needs to work. I decided to try updating. And now it seems to work. There should be an automatic update. This app is too important to have been released with bugs that made it useless..Version: 2.2.16

Good idea, such a bad implementationI've been a software designer, developer and manager for more than three decades and I have rarely seen a technology concept that was such a good idea so poorly designed, built and tested. Seems like the marketing people, obviously new graduates from the Imagineering school at Disney, felt that animated squirrels were more important than useful error screens and functional test scripts. Experience with the app from my extended pool of Utah Friends and Family ranged from poor to exasperating with the median results being the ability to create an account, have the app find immunization records, report the same and universally never display them. Mostly showing a pretty blue page with nothing on it except "Immunization Records updated on" xxxx Date. And that's all. No pdf, no display, nada. Through probably 60 trials over the course of fifteen days of various combinations and permutations of app deletion, account deletion and anything else we could think of, that's all we got. Bupkus. We suspect the money folks allotted 80 percent of the dollars to squirrel design, fifteen percent to coding and five percent to quality assurance. Well, ya got what you paid for. Too bad, cuz you could have built a helpful and profitable product instead of an infinite rewrite morass. Sigh..Version: 2.2.15

SketchyAt first I was happy with this app as it recognized my two vaccinations. I got the booster shot over a week ago, and the app has yet to find my booster shot and add it to my records. I used the HELP email and I got a HELP handout of steps to try. Nothing worked. The other alternative was to contact the state, using a paper form which was supposed to be sent through the mail. Too much personal information requested. I hope I don’t lose my vaccination card, because it is the only record that shows the booster. LIVE support, even if it was via email, would be great..Version: 2.2.24

Major bugsThis is a cool app, or would be without the bugs. One of my children’s records consistently contains information from her sister’s immunization record and none of her own information. Also, I have lived in several states whose information isn’t supported, so my record shows me as overdue on shots I got a few decades ago. It makes it hard to know if I really need a booster or not. I’m looking forward to seeing this fixed. When the app is really up and running, it will be nice to keep track of all of my children’s information in one place and be able to stay on top of the vaccines we all need..Version: 2.2.26

Great idea; Doesn’t WorkI thought this would be like the NY COVID Vaccine app. But it simply doesn’t work. SMS phone confirmation didn't arrive for 15 minutes the first time I tried. I tried again today & it worked. But the app STILL can’t find my vaccination record. I used the exact name on my card. NJ has both my cell # & email. As does the health system which administered the shots at a state mega site. Very frustrating since the US really needs a federally verified app for international travel, concerts etc (like the EU app). This at least would have some official standing. Disappointed..Version: 2.2.11

Account setupUnable to add a UK mobile number.Version: 2.2.3

It doesn’t workMy record showed up immediately but it was shown with a wrong phone number. I contacted Support with supporting documentation to update my phone number and email. They said my contact info were updated on their end but the app still didn’t reflect the changes. I removed and reinstalled the app and removed old search results but the new searches still came back with the wrong number on my record and no email option. Either their updates aren’t made available immediately or my record wasn’t updated at all..Version: 2.2.12

Does Not UpdateI took my 3rd shot almost 2 months ago and the system has not updated. It only shows the 2 shots I took in January and February. I sent an email to Docket a few weeks and the response I received could have been in a different language for all it was worth. The screen on the app says something like drag to update or refresh but I don’t see anything to drag. For the 2 shots, its a good system. Not so for the 3rd . For what this is worth, I have friends experiencing the same problem. Its a disappointment..Version: 2.2.26

Docket still not working after IOS 14.8 update on my iphone.Once the iphone updated, Docket app stopped opening. Just the blue screen with the Docket logo. I have tried turning off/on my iPhone. No change. I have uninstalled then reinstalled the app from the App Store. Turned phone off/on to reset. I see that it reloads from an icloud icon. Does that mean it is not your newest version with your app update from a day ago? Nothing changes each time I try. Next week I have to prove vaccine status with my NJ school district and now I cannot use this vaccine registry on my device. Please fix the issue or provide info on how to get it to launch correctly. Thank you!.Version: 2.2.21

Assumes we have modern equipmentThis app cannot be downloaded to my home computer, only to a phone or tablet. That’s limiting. This app insisted on sending a text message to my phone. But my home phone is a landline that does not have text facility. That is a problem, to say the least. Allow a voice response please. Then it did allow a voicemail to my landline for a second part of the signup (but not the first part). But it rattled off a ten digit “PIN” number so fast you couldn’t keep up. Try a bit of beta testing, young techies. Get with it. We are not all millennials with all tech gear. Make your stuff useable by the people who are going to use it, including 75 year olds like me..Version: 2.2.11

Not easy to useThe first ten or twenty times I used this app it didn’t work, and the frustrating thing about it is that you can’t tell what has gone wrong. My first three attempts to verify my identity failed without any explanation. A few weeks later I tried again and it worked. Then it says “here are your immunizations!,” and then presents me with a blank screen. I drag down to refresh; no response. Drag ten more times; no response; then one more time and the animated squirrel appears, telling me nothing. A little while later my records finally appear. I haven’t checked them for accuracy..Version: 2.2.32

Does not work on iPhone 8This app does not work on my iPhone 8. First it did not want to let me set up the account at all. I filled out all the personal profile information on the setup screen over and over, but it didn’t want to save it and let me move onto the next screen. When (after six more attempts) I finally got it to save my profile, I got an error message saying that I had not entered my birthdate. So I entered it again, but again it would not save the information. I tried once more, and the same thing happened. At that point I gave up. Apparently this app just does not work on iPhone 8. Too bad..Version: 2.2.11

Don’t rely on it yetThis will be great when they iron out the flaws. I was trying to show how it works to a friend. I got only a blue screen that said “Docket” on it - tried a couple of times, turned off phone etc. Then, after calling the number found on line, deleted and then reinstalled, tried to log on and it didn’t recognize my password. “Reset” using same password as before. It now appears to be functioning but I’m thinking I’ll still need to carry my vax card for now - wouldn’t want to be standing outside a restaurant trying to do all this..Version: 2.2.22

Super complicated and buggyAfter setting everything up, providing additional information only highlighted in the detailed help documentation, but not as part of the standard workflow (including submitting a photo of my driver’s license by entering the URL shown in the app in a desktop browser in order to be able to attach the file), multiple exchanges with support, deleting and recreating the original search which still asked me to wait … I finally got it! Setting up the Clear app with my local healthcare provider took about 10 minutes. Docket came to about 3 weeks. This is not an app for the masses..Version: 2.2.11
