✓ Need to read this.This app is great. The filters are really good, and so unique it's fantastic for Instagram. BUT, your asking price isn’t the norm for a ‘filters app’. Let’s see, VSCO, Darkroom, Focos, just to mention a few, offer tonnes more features and are cheaper or about the same cost as your app. Reality check please..Version: 3.11.4
✓ Very unhappy about the slimy subscription hook.The instructions about the subscription ar every in clear. It asks if you would like to start your free trial (in smaller text says 39.99 a year) which I did not see (because it is small) and accidentally bought the subscription u knowingly!! ✓ Changes in their privacy notice-beware!I love the great features, but when I went to use the app, the privacy policy has changed. I have just deleted the app from my iOS devices because while I don’t mind that I agree that they can access my library of photos so I can adjust them and change them while I am using the app, I do not give my permission to use my personal data to send to anyone of their choice. Once a person clicks on the top agreement to give permission for access, 2 other boxes appear to check mark and if you do not click in those other boxes, the app will not work. Very manipulative on their part. That permission was not there previously. They just lost a customer and in this day in age of information exchange or stealing of personal data, I don’t agree with their changes in the privacy policies..Version: 3.9.11

The free version of Lightroom requires only account creation, no dodgy, “we take your money if you don’t stop us” nonsense. Almost the whole app is available on the free version. It’s top of the range and a market leader. I believe, my points still stand: - 3 days is very poor. - It’s not competitive. - Too many hurdles to even try the product. Which might be good but why bother when there is better out there and it’s easier to access, and cheaper, potentially free, depending on your needs. ✓ Prisma AppI initially liked this app so much that I took out a one year subscription. However, at some point early on in the subscription it stopped working. When you open it it displays the photos from your IPhone photo library but everything on the screen is frozen. You can’t choose a photo or any of the menu options by clicking on them as nothing happens. I’ve tried to contact the developers but can’t get through to them on the App Store link. ✓ No Longer WorksThis was my favorite app ever. Operative word: “was” as in no longer. For the last several months, I have experienced all kinds of glitches even after removing and re-downloading the app. When I first open the app and select gallery to get to my photos, I must wait up to a minute before the photos appear, and sometimes they never come up. When selecting a style, I frequently get a message that something went wrong and to try later. I have now tried three days in a row and I still can’t get half my favorite styles. ✓ Charged a year without asking after free trialIt goes beyond me how an app requires you to put in your credit card information before testing out the app then automatically forces you into an annual subscription after 3 days. ✓ Once good app ruined by subscriptionI remember first downloading this app and was amazed by it. You could choose all these different filters and never even had to pay. Then one day when I joined, there was a new update where loads of filters had to have some gimmicky subscription which I won’t pay for. ✓ Won’t workI’ve had this app forever now, and have always loved it! It’s something that I like to use to mess around with pictures to make them look interesting, but mostly my own art. ✓ If you use this app you have to give them ownership of your contentI have not used this app because I scanned through the fine print - which seems to say that though users nominally own what they create - this company can do whatever they like with it, including publishing it, modifying it etc - the world over. ✓ You got GDPR wrongNice little update. But now you can’t use the app unless you give permission for the developer to use your data. That’s not how GDPR is supposed to work (I work in CRM - I know how this is supposed to work). You are not supposed to force people to opt-in you are supposed to give them the right to choose. It is not supposed to be a condition of use. You also have no need (fair usage) of my data. This is a photo editing app. Use of MY data cannot be considered fair usage by the developers. This is a shame because this is one my favourite apps and I have had to delete it because you insist that unless I give you permission to auto process my data, I can’t use the app. Well guess what? ✓ Way too expensiveDown loaded the app then get hard sell to upgrade to full version for just over £2 per month…. Cancel at anytime! So it says BUT you can only have a 12 month subscription for around £25. Why do these developers advertise a monthly cost … cancel at any time when the minimum cost is annual £25. The 3 day trial is yet another trick unless you cancel as soon as you start the app many will end up paying for a whole year. Although the company ostensibly offers a three day trial so that customers can evaluate - but cancel prior to the end of the evaluation If they decide not to go forward with a purchase - others may find, as I did, that it is very difficult, frustrating, and time-consuming to actually cancel during trial period & prevent the company from charging your card. ✓ Great app, but can’t get it to work anymoreI love this app- use it everyday. Except a few days ago most of the styles stopped working. My premium subscription is active through September. I tried updating and then only the first two pre-loaded styles would work. The other 5 would not, it would just freeze. When I tried to add styles it takes you to style screen but it won’t let you click or type on the search bar. I tried deleting and reinstalling. Same thing happens. I have reached out to their support and they had me run a diagnostic and send. I did. Tech support said they did not have information to help me. I have reached out a few more times, without a reply. I really wish I could get this to work again. It’s a bummer. I loved the app and created some awesome work with it. Please -it would be great if support could help make this operational. PS I use it on an iPhone that everything else works fine on and this did too- until it didn’t. ✓ Very disappointedI have been using the Prisma app for six years or more…. It has been excellent up until a couple of days ago…. On my iPhone, 11 it has simply stopped. Uploading filtered photos….. I have contacted Prisma… they asked me to delete and upload again from the App Store. ….. I did so it is still not functioning at all. They say they will fix it but they have simply stopped responding to my email messages. I am very disappointed because I have really enjoyed sharing. ✓ Be carefulI had this on my Samsung and purchased the latest copy, now I have a iPhone which has been provided by my company I am still getting billed from these guys, when I first signed up I was paying just $26 a year, they have since increased the price and have billed me the new price. ✓ GoodFantastic app use it literally every day but it’s crazy that paying for HD , I still have to click on the inferior free one and wait for it to load wasting valuable time then being allowed to do the HD download. I paid for HD I should be able to go straight to HD on my iPad Pro. It’s astonishing that a great app….literally the best out there hasn’t fixed this problem. I’m never going to download anything except my HD renderings so why after being a 4-5 year customer am I being aggravated with this. I only write this because at one point in time, you could choose only to use HD which was perfect and what I paid for. Why did it change? ✓ Disappointing privacy policy or lack of oneFirst tome starting the app since the GDPR came into effect and was asked to agree to t’s & c’s, fairly standard, but once you click on them two more boxes appear that if you uncheck mean you can’t use the app. Forced stuff like emails and selling data should be optional so left with no other choice than to uninstall. Edit - further to the developers response it still isn’t good enough that you cannot opt out of having your data sold and emails sent to you when that’s what the gdpr is all about. The free 3-day trial subscription is automatically followed by annual premium subscription if you don't cancel it. A free download trial version is a normal concept and after well over twenty years online I am very familiar with that option, which has lead to my purchase of a great many programs for Macs and in the more distant past, for PC. But I am pretty new to iPhone apps and this one has caught me out. Given that I have invested a lot of money in Mac Pro desktop and laptop machines and powerful photo and graphic packages, I am a bit sceptical of the potential this app might have in comparison. ✓ Sluggish, not high qualityI got this bc I read you could create high quality book covers, but they only save in 72ppi and do not look good once you try to convert to print quality. The edits you can do are pretty neat but not really what I was looking for, and some of them take forever and freeze my phone up. ✓ Interesting but very slowThis app has some very interesting filters but oh my goodness you have to have the patience of a saint to use it. I have around 50,000 photos in my photo library and use iCloud to store them, and it can take Prisma up to five minutes to bring up my photos in order to choose one to filter. That’s a crazy amount of time. I’ve reported this as a bug to the developers but it’s something they simply can’t seem to fix, even after the latest update. It’s a big that really spoils the rest of the app for me. ✓ Really cool app; really un-cool business model.I have been buying iOS photo/graphics apps for a very long time now, and this one produces some of the coolest finished products I have ever seen. BUT, unless you pay for a monthly subscription, you cannot save in “high resolution.” Therefore, it converted the 4032x3024 image from my 8 Plus to a 600kb 1792x1344 one. If you are creating stuff for texting or to post on a website, then that is not an issue. But if you want to save your image so as to be able to incorporate it into a print someday, you are SOL without the monthly subscription. Further, some of the filters are apparently owned by third parties, and launch begging pop-ups when you go to use them. I really like what you can create with this app, and would gladly shell out a flat fee for it. But I will not pay a monthly fee for something I might only want to use every now and again, and I didn’t buy an 8 Plus to work with .5MB image files..Version: 3.9
✓ Do not subscribe - disappointing productGrossly overpriced and as many others have noted, it only allows you the three day trial period and then charges you an inordinate annual fee if you don’t cancel in time. Honestly don’t bother to try it, I regret having signed up because the various effects just come out looking like a novice playing on old school photoshop. I know someone put their heart and soul into this app, but it needs a lot of work, “brush stroke placement” for example makes no logical sense when viewed in relation to the image or say features of the face, light etc; I find their subscription option unethical, so I don’t feel guilty warning people not to bother..Version: 4.3.1

✓ Could be so much betterWhen I first signed up for this app, I had no complaint. The filters are beautiful. I love looking at other users’ photos. But there’s this thing that’s been happening consistently for the last five months. People are getting banned for no reason. They are then told by a prisma representative that they were flagged by multiple users for inappropriate content. But the offending photo is something like a tree, a building or a road. It makes no sense. And it takes days and tons of e-mails back and forth to resolve the issue. When prisma support finally realizes the user has been unfairly banned, their explanation for what happened seems like a cop-out. The solution to this issue seems obvious. Have a prisma rep check out the “offending” photo before banning. But it’s still going on. I paid for a year’s subscription to prisma before this started happening, so I’m still an active user. But I probably won’t pay again once the year’s up, if this issue isn’t resolved. If you’re thinking of paying for the full prisma app and you’ve made it through this whole rant, you might want to think twice..Version: 3.11.1

✓ Filters don’t work the way advertised.This app is a meh at best. The filters advertised turn the photos into the intended style, the actual app simply changes colouring and the photos lining. The app works fine and is relatively nice to use, but it by no means is helpful..Version: 4.7.3
✓ Not feeling good so farI just started the free three day trial. I don’t like anything that requires me to sign in using google or Facebook. That’s just a way for them to keep track of you and collect your data. This requirement comes AFTER purchase. I don’t like that at all. So far the product is not intuitive. ✓ Trial Of This AppIt looked good on the adverts - However there are only 2 design features worth trying and of those 2 one of them cuts you’re picture and zooms in automatically cutting other people off the image. So really only one worth trying. Which makes it an expensive app. I think it’s more in the development stage at the moment... So due to its current lack of features & designs i won’t be subscribing at this time. Tried the Free Trial for Only an Hour then Cancelled. Will be deleting the App after writing this. Genuine Feedback. Given 1 star just for the one feature design only. The rest of them i can do on the i phones own camera edit settings for free..Version: 4.1.0
