✓ “Enhancements” are hideousAfter spending hours scanning photos, I noticed the auto-enhance feature was adding fake pupils to the eyes. I can’t remove the “enhancement”, so I have to scan all of them again. I wanted some color enhancement, but it’s all or nothing. So that feature is worse than useless. The edge detection for auto cropping is okay, but not great. There’s really nothing this app does particularly well. I hate this app. And I hope the developers focus on improving it, rather than responding to reviews..Version: 5.10
✓ It’s okay (you get what you pay for)I've been looking for a reasonably priced app that will allow me to scan and restore old pictures. I read reviews about many different apps and decided to risk $7.99 on this one. After playing around with it for a while, I have to say that I am disappointed in the results. The app works okay when it comes to scanning, but it didn't do anything to help restore pictures that have become discolored. You are provided with some editing tools, but despite much effort, I was not successful in using them to suitably correct the discoloration in the old photos that I had scanned. There is no RGB adjustment tool to tweak the color, only settings to change things like picture warmth, tint, brilliance and saturation. I downloaded and played around with another app called Photomyne and it did a fantastic job of automatically restoring my discolored pictures during the scanning process. In my opinion it's much better suited for scanning old photographs, but only if you're prepared to spend $40/year to subscribe to the full unlimited version. Unless you're scanning a bunch of pictures, that's a steep price to pay..Version: 5.30
✓ Not updated for agesThis is obviously made for older iPhones and the developers have no interest in updates. This app does not take into account newer iPhones with multiple lenses and therefore does not macro. Shame..Version: 5.30
✓ Bad exporting optionsThe scanning works well, though the cropping doesn’t work properly when scanning pics of different orientations. Exporting full albums only possible without captions, and you can’t export more than 10 photos at a time to google drive, local folders or cloud. Support is very responsive but the exporting abilities for a large amount of photos simply doesn’t exist. Just false advertising. May be a useable for sharing in about 2 or 3 updates.Version: 4.0
✓ Not recommendedTried it on an 8+ but not good at identifying multiple photos on one scan. Also distorts some photos. Does not work as advertised. Only seems to work on single images and then not always..Version: 1.92
✓ Real Problems with This UpdateReal problems with this update - when I go into scanner it just rapidly takes photos without me pressing anything- and the photos it takes are NOT saved anywhere. Only way to stop it taking photos is to double press the iPhone home button and swipe upwards- needs fixing asap.Version: 1.41
✓ I don’t recommend for old photo albumsI have old photo albums that I can’t remove the pictures without ripping, when I take a photo of the entire page, this app does not detect the different photos and separate them. I get a photo of the entire page. I tried another app for a free trial and it was amazing but was a subscription. So I switched to Pic Scanner Gold because it’s a one-time payment. It will work if you don’t mind taking one photo at a time or if you have loose photos..Version: 4.90

✓ What am I paying for?I’ve only tried 1 old pic and it was slightly curved and the app did NOTHING more than take a pic of my pic. Don’t need an app to do that! Then even though I paid for the Gold version I had to pay another $3 to save it to my camera roll. Your response is NOT true! I tried to save an uncaptioned photo to camera roll and required to make in app purchase. If it’s not required give me my money back!.Version: 1.94
✓ How do I get a refundFollowed the instructions but this app does not perform I had 4 photos placed apart the distance as stated Instead of finding 4 photos it found 1 and thenused the original image of all 4 pics together as a photo?!? ✓ Yes, but....Earlier this month I needed to embark on the gigantuan task of digitising almost 2000 old prints. With an iPhone 12 Pro Max and after carefully researching the options, I settled on Pic Scanner Gold - and I’m pretty satisfied with the choice I made. But I am disappointed to report that of the 2 support questions I emailed, neither received a reply. It seems that although user support is offered, responding to such questions does not rank highly in the developers’s priorities..Version: 4.60
✓ Ok but could be betterWould’ve given 5 stars except when exporting unlike the iPad version only allows you to copy to OneDrive one at a time even if you select multiple, even though I had a reply from the developers saying: But you CAN upload multiple photos to OneDrive - on iPhone as well as iPad! Please email us, so we can show you how - and you can then add the stars you held back 😜" This response has taken over a month and by then i sorted a much simpler way to scan photos and upload to onedrive using my camera on my iPhone X and editing within photos..Version: 2.41
✓ Didn’t WorkI needed to scan a ton of photos for a slide show. I tried to use this app and two out of three pictures were bad. Maybe I was doing something wrong. I exited the app and just used my camera software. It was quicker and seemed to work much better. I wish I wouldn’t have paid for this app..Version: 2.80
✓ Nothing Special “Free”Apps just as good !!!Does not do much that your not able to do with the “Free” Photo Apps !! ✓ Waste of moneyAfter reading the reviews I was keen to try this app, as I have so many photos taking up cupboard space and was thrilled at the idea of digitising them. What a letdown when I started to use the app only to find that the quality of the scanned photos is terrible (even though I had selected the high res setting). The clarity of 40 year old photos is way better than the scans I wanted to replace them with. Looks like I'll go back to using my iPhone to take a photo of each individual original - at least that way I know I'll get a decent result..Version: 2.71

✓ DisappointedI bought this app, but it is no better than just pointing your phone camera at a photo. It fails to scan the edges of the photo and more often than not when trying to scan two photos at once it treats them as one. Total waste of time and money. ✓ NopeI don’t review apps very often. I limit them to apps that are either spectacular or a major disappointment. This purchase was a major disappointment. The editing tools are the only positives but there are free photo editing apps that offer the same. There are several things missing that I’m able to get with free scanning apps. Crops are limited to proportional only, no way to create or scan within albums, no auto-scan option, lighting has to be perfect or your image ha grain and glare. Really regretting my purchase - should have stuck with my free apps..Version: 4.90
