Jambl: DJ Band & Beat Maker for Negative User Reviews

Looks good, wish I could use itHi, I downloaded the app about an hour ago but it won’t let me use the app at all, I have tried deleting, re-downloading, resetting my phone. I just get stuck on a picture with some pickles on it. The app looks super cool though, I hope you can fix it :).Version: 2.9.0

Requires a subscription to useThis app requires a subscription or a free trial leading to a subscription to even access the app..Version: 2.36

This app is great, but we need more access to the other jam packsDon’t get me wrong. This app: AMAZING. The only downside is the lack of access to the people who don’t want to spend money. From my personal experience with the free packs (cheeky plug here: check me out on Mudfishh) and the comparison with the other basses and melodies, the app is a non-competitive pay-to-win. The jam packs you’d get from premium are WAY better than the free ones. Also, a lot of the featured beats have been made by people who bought the premium. If the devs would give the non-spenders a little bit more access, it would be a 5 star. Perfect for simple beats, and complex ones, perfect for beats all around. But not enough access.Version: 2.8.4

For weirdo suburb loner wytesDO NOT SUBSCRIBE OR DOWNLOAD!!! It’s not free at all but I paid to help you save money and time. It’s just a stupid overpriced low quality stepper wannabe drum machine. If you have no friends and want to be a not hip wanna be wigger making ABC 123 beats and never plan on getting any sex based off music made on this app that you should be embarrassed to show anyone unless you plan on hanging it up afterwards, then this is the app for you. This app is built specifically for loser virgin c uck neckbeards like the pig that advertised it. Even suburban whit boys that never even met a colored in their life but like the music should be smart enough not to buy this obvious genre exploiting pyramid scheme money maker where all the paid user are just ertards that want to fit in but never would so they buy this. Don’t be a loser. Download a REAL APP elsewhere like FL Studio or somthin.Version: 2.46

Nice ideaReally fun to use but.. the ads..... please it’s every 2minutes and 30 seconds..Version: 2.31

PriceyLiterally ten dollars a week, I know that’s how developers make money but come on man, that’s a bit much, and when you add it up to a month you get a price around forty dollars, add it up to a year you get five hundred, five hundred dollars just to make music isn’t really useful, I don’t normally write reviews but I was a little disappointed. I can’t stop you from buying it..Version: 2.40

Good but please take this annoying thing awayJambl is a really good app but not as good as I expect it to be. First off I know the subscription is for the ads and if you get it you won’t have any ads, BUT even if you don’t get the subscription it doesn’t mean you have to spam ads so much. When I want to unlock a pack I know I have to watch an ad so I watch it and when it is done loading another 20 second add pops up. It’s like everything I press I have to watch an ad. Last thing is when ever I make music sometimes the button delays like it generates the note to early or to late. Please fix these to major things it will improve this app greatly..Version: 2.39

Actual garbage?I don’t know who is rating this high. This app is a worse version of dozens of other music apps, and the cost is a joke. Do yourself a favour and try literally anything else..Version: 2.37

A little disappointedThis is a good app, but after playing around with it for a little bit, not everything repeated itself when I held my finger over the rightmost column of the drum rack. And when I close the app out, for at least 15 seconds the loop that I had composed kept on playing despite being closed out. Also, the ENTIRE video function didn’t work whatsoever on my phone. I don’t know what that was about but it just wouldn’t loadBut all in all I think that this app rises above the rest of the simple beat making apps. And just something I’d like to see in a future update is a dubstep sample pack. And maybe a way to compose real songs and not just loops? Anyway, I hope you take my suggestions into consideration and fix the issues that I mentioned above, because this is an app that has potential! Thank you for listening..Version: 2.0.4

Pricey garbage$50 a month😂🤣😂 what a joke. Who do you think you are?.Version: 2.43

Cant use without buying subscription :/You can’t get 10 seconds into the app without it making you sign up for a “3 day free trial” or buy a subscription. You can’t even get a demo of it. You still have to pay for the “3 day free trial” as a teen without a credit card I don’t wanna spend money on something like this because I have no idea what it even is or how to use it. :/ A version thats actually free with no “x number of days free” subscription with limited sounds would be nice at least then you can actually try it and see if you like it..Version: 2.40

ScamYou guys say it is 4 and but you have pay 70$ how does that work.Version: 2.39

Used to be betterDont know what happened. Interface change, canot record à complète trackp... used to be really great..Version: 2.0.3

Too many adsWay too many ads, the game section of the app literally forces you to watch a 5-10second ad every 30seconds. Which basically forces you to pay their subscription to get any enjoyment out of the app, I’ve been making music for years and this is way too simplified giving you barely any freedom in making music, if you want a good music app that is intuitive and has 0 ads, “Figure” is a much better option.Version: 2.46

Jamb five stars!Jambl straight up is the best music app I have ever downloaded. More creators should be able to make music packs on this cool app though and more possibilities will be made after the community is able to make packs. Apart from that the game is amazing and the music is top notch. The updates bring something new everytime and more changes will come!.Version: 2.23

Overpriced as usualI don’t care what app it is, I am never gonna pay £8 a week for it. There is no way this app is worth £400+ a year no way. I can think of some quality DAWs and instruments i would rather spend that money in, and so I will. As a music producer it’s a shame to see such cash grabs around, their everywhere and it really is a shame to see people being ripped off..Version: 2.43

Ripoff appTo use this app you have to sign up for a subscription, costing 12$ a WEEK!!! So you can make a beat, I’ll reconsider this app when it’s free to use or just a lower price, because right now this is ridiculous.Version: 2.43

PaywallCringe paywall at 15$ a month haha dreaming.Version: 2.42

The App maker only cares about moneyThe Ui/Ux design is CENTRED to make you buy a subscription, they probably spent months only on that. Is it actually even possible to put that cancel cross more hidden?? Hope this doesn’t work out..Version: 2.43

Pretty bad.Okay it’s fun for 5 minutes lack of depth and content not to mention the subscription fee for £8 a week I would expect at minimum bi weekly updates and not just improvements but features and content too, considering the last update was 4 months ago no thanks. I don’t see an option to use it for free if you used the free trial either, as the developer says the subscription can be closed and used for free with ads..Version: 2.43

EhIt was really good when it first came out, but now to do anything you either have to watch an ad or get premium, nice to see it get turned into a cash grab. And every time I get an ad the entire app stops working, I can’t hear songs, I can’t place sounds. I have to leave the app and if I’m in the middle of a song that’s gone..Version: 2.23.3

Great potential but ultimately greedyI have given this app quite the chance considering it’s free and have thusly put up with all the ads considering a subscription once I have the extra change around to do so. Well today with the latest update I was instead saddened to find myself locked out of the app with a subscription page with the usual exit button missing from it, leaving me to close the app or buy a subscription... thusly this is the last time I use this app. Goodbye, Jambl. You will be missed in my App Library.Version: 2.38

It’s okay. It’s a fun thing to do for a few minutes when you’re bored. I was actually one of the people that was promoted by the creator from the game who gave me free pass I could use to keep making music. He was an okay person but clearly using me just so I answer all his questions as a experienced user on his app. What happened? In DMs he told me about a upcoming amazing update of December 2019 which mind you never came. What’s changed? Absolutely nothing, sure a few packs were added, most of them costing money obviously. They barely changed the UI to compensate for the lack of features. Guess what before all this in the earlier versions you didn’t have to watch ads every time you wanted to do something, you didn’t have to sign up an account either. You didn’t have to pay money to use the feature that existed there since the very start of the game. This game turned into a sad money grab, when you sell ads so comfortably to the consumer it just loses all the respect in a free app. A free app is never free because you are the product..Version: 2.21

Not great for the moneyVery restrictive and not conducive to real creativity, just predetermined loops and samples.Version: 2.10.1

More interaction buttonsNeeds way more stuff like lower bass beats and different sounds, I’ve been using this app for 3 weeks or so and yet a lot of jam sessions sound a like, it is a very fun app don’t get me wrong but you will get get bored very quickly😁.Version: 2.38

How do I create music?!?!I have downloaded Jambl yesterday and went into it today but I can’t find anything that lets me create music so I’m sorry I’m rating it a one star ...Version: 2.16

GlitchyGlitchy and no way to change individual loop length. Would be great otherwise.Version: 2.7.1

Instant delete.Looked at the pricing etc at the home/install screen and immediately deleted the app..Version: 2.43

You say it is ages 4 and upSo you say here oh it is ages four and up yet there are many appearances of the a word I really do not appreciate it so if you could remove all of the a words for the younger users thankyou.Version: 2.16

It’s not freeIt’s such a cool idea and it’s executed pretty well but it has ads out the wazoo. On top of that, you get 1 day free and then you have to buy a subscription or else you can’t use it anymore..Version: 2.43

Overpriced. It costs $15/month to play World of Warcraft, a game that has intense depth and satisfaction for the people that use it. Jambl - not so much. It costs $8/week ($24+/month - $9 more than WoW) to use this app to create nonsensical music. It’s even more surprising that the app would even have the audacity to charge this amount to customers when there is absolutely no way to organize the different music arrangements you make within the app into a song. This is an absolute cash grab and you are being manipulated if you have been duped into using it. It is without a doubt underdeveloped and its creators definitely released it prematurely and are unworthy of your money. Respect yourself and your dignity and look elsewhere..Version: 2.18

Fix this rubbishThis app is absolute crap. It’s fun to make music but the notes are broken. Half the time when I press a note either there’s a delay or it just doesn’t press it. Sometimes it shows I’ve pressed it but it makes no sound.Version: 2.38

Too expensiveJust run ads. Don’t make people pay $15 a week to screw around and make beats. Thousands are just going to be installing and uninstalling daily. You’re not even targeting professional musicians, I’ve received ads on YouTube videos making it seem like a game. No one is paying $15 a week for a game. But hey, what do I know? Nothing. Absolutely nothing..Version: 2.43

ScammersStay away everyone!u will be scammed!.Version: 2.46

Cool but a lil annoyingIt was a good app idea, but it bothered me a lot that I couldn’t skip the tutorial. I just thought it seemed so intuitive and easy to use which was good so why force a tute?.Version: 2.7.1

Way too many adsI understand you make money off of ads but there are wayyyyyyy too many ads can’t even click on anything without an ad popin out.Version: 2.43

Can’t even use the appIt has a horrible lag when pressing the sounds you want so timing the beat is impossible, which is the whole point of making a sound. If I could give 0 stars I would.Version: 2.43

What a stitch upSays free, go into the app and get three day trial forced to pay after that and all I read is the app glitches....developed for ten years? Poor effort, people there’s much better apps out there for free.Version: 2.11.1

$8 a week? Seriously? This app is another waste of money! There’s plenty of better apps that don’t charge subscription. $8 a week is $32 a month $384 a year! Who came up with this ridiculous price for an app like this? It’s a waste of money for an app that will not be guaranteed at the end. Apps can disappear and become obsolete and then any money you spent on an app wouldn’t be worth it. Maybe they can charge for things like being able to save. That would be a smart way to get people to buy the extra features and not have a subscription just to use the app..Version: 2.46

Good if you don’t actually make musicTerrible for anybody that actually knows their way around a DAW or musical tech of any kind. Looping something in time is made impossible by the stupid touch controls that aren’t intuitive whatsoever. If you are looking for something to muck around with and you’re musically inclined don’t even bother, I found it incredibly frustrating. Not to mention the ads that literally ruin the experience and tend to annoy you rather than entice you to buy the full version. I’ve unfortunately decided to delete the app..Version: 2.38

This app is NOT freeThey should tell you that you have to pay for it in the add. You have to pay monthly and it costs more then Netflix. It’s a ripoff.Version: 2.46

Too expensiveOverall it’s a great app and it’s creative, great controls, fun and has a community but it is super expensive. $15 a week? Not even Microsoft charges prices that high..Version: 2.9.0

Can’t unsubscribeCan’t seem to unsubscribe! It’s cozy me $13 which is fine but now I can’t find how to unsubscribe! It was a great app but it didn’t suit my style. Help. Also my emails playing up so I can’t ask for help... so help hahaa.Version: 2.18

Really don’t download just creepyThis app is horrible just some middle aged man wanting some kids to pay him money so he can watch is through are phones don’t download I keep getting pop ups when I’m not even on the app saying allow camera access to Jamble.Version: 2.16

Fun and simple, but too costly.I got the 3 day free trial for this app and I have to say it’s really entertaining and I would happily spend hours on this app however £8 a week is just too costly for me (especially with this covid19 crap). I know projects like this are expensive but I’d much rather watch a bunch of ads than pay that much money for a DJ app with a limited amount of tracks, it just doesn’t seem worth it. Apart from that it is an awesome app that is totally addicting, but not addicting enough that it’s worth £8 per week..Version: 2.16

WhyWhy in every music maker game you have to money to play.Version: 2.35

Great fun but Too many adsThis is a great app but way too many ads in the free version. Too annoying..Version: 2.43

Overly Expensive 💸“Only” 13$ a week?! 😡 I am not anywhere going to pay over 600$ a year just to play some gosh darn MUSIC! Do not install, this is a waste of time..Version: 2.46

Another subscriptionIt tricked me into a trial immediately upon opening and I forgot to cancel it. I used the app for less than 5 minutes and was charged $12.50.Version: 2.48.1

Closing outI started playing around with this app for fun, because I am a musician and thought this would be interesting. Although it is interesting, there isn’t enough for people who don’t wanna spend on this app. Even at that, there aren’t many presets in all. Along with that, I have lately been experiencing the app closing out every time I try and play it. It’ll open just fine, and I’m able to click on a preset and start playing. As soon as I start playing it’ll close out after making a weird blip on my phone. This is not how it should react after I play it how it’s meant to be played..Version: 2.0.4

Erm…In the ad I say it mentions nothing about how you can only literally ONLY PLAY IT BY DOING A FREE TRIAL THAT PROBABLY DONT NOTIFY YOU WHEN OVER like your either stuck with paying without knowing after 30 days or paying like 11 dollarydoos every month also good job on your game it looks sick but y know. Oh and don’t forget 180 dollars a year for tunes, sorry but that ain’t for me oh one more thing ITS JUST MY OPINION!!!!!.Version: 2.46

Useless. Sorry. It’s not that great. 10 years to make this? Come on this is like a fake kaossilator combined with a wanna be figure app. There’s nothing unique or original here folks. Nothing at all except the weekly membership. I listened to a few of the bests and it’s something that a first generation app would produce. Nothing crazy. Better off downloading launchpad or kaossilator or figure where you actually make the beats. Don’t waste your money here. Come on ten years to make this? If this app had ableton link and pitch control then you’ll see more practical usage out of this but so far 1/5 stars. Sorry but if you expect people to buy from you then expect to hear harsh criticism..Version: 2.10.0

Delay in touch pads is the deal breaker(20 mins of using this app) Take this from an artist myself; this app actually seems to be pretty usable, easy to understand and fun. For beginners and experts. You do have to pay to pretty much do anything cool, but that’s pretty much every app now days. But for the love of everything holy in this world-PLEASE FIX THE TOUCH PADS! There not responsive what so ever and its so bad il have a rhythm for a melody in my head and ill find its easy and takes up less time to just play the d*mn thing on the keyboard!.Version: 2.43

SCAM ALERTThis garbage app disguised as a DAW doesn’t mention that it cost 13 buck per week...not per month or per year...but over $50/month, until the last panel of it “getting started “ This developer needs a lesson in business ethics! CROOKS!!!.Version: 2.43

How do i play it not workIts not work.Version: 2.43

Subscription to create music? (Limited functionality)I would not say this is a great app. $8 a week to make music on a app that doesn’t even compete with garage band? Sounds ridicules! It’s not money that’s really the problem here. It’s the principle of having people pay money to even get an experience. What’s even funnier is that the experience is very limited. I’d rather buy garage band ( Which I have ) & have much more Intuitive experience with that! Especially since you can record nice crisp external audio & somewhat master it. Not to mention you can always finish the product on your Mac Laptop.. this is a weird way of trying to get people to make music or even get into it. It’s preying on new musicians and can’t even offer a better wide range of sounds or actual song development. It’s like buying a toy piano when just for some extra bucks you can buy yourself a real piano and actually have great sound with a greater experience. Don’t sell yourself short with this app. Theirs is even better ones for free 🤦🏽‍♂️.Version: 2.9.0

So much potentialIt’s fantastic with a great variety, but I got 5 things that annoy be with using this app. 1. You can’t look at the beats you liked. I feel like that should’ve been a thing from the get go. 2. I have to close out of the app with it still running in the background for it to load a page or just my own songs. 3. I wish they added different beats more often. Yes there is a bunch of different styles you can choose from, but if you use the app a lot, the options feel more limited. 4. When you remix someone else’s beat, there isn’t a way to get the remix if you close the app. Another thing I would’ve liked to see at launch. 5. This one might be the cherry on the top, but there isn’t a erase feature. Yeah there’s an undo, but if you’re feeling something one moment and create a sick beat just after it but it doesn’t fit the first one, you gotta either get rid of it in a very roundabout way, or you gotta undo the new beat to get rid of the old one. That being said, this is one of my favorite apps to create beats with. But some of these problems really make it hard to look past.Version: 2.40

Scam app to steal your moneyFyi, this app charges $12.49 PER WEEK! If you want to spend $650 a year on music production software buy Ableton, Pro Tools, or Logic Audio instead, It'll be cheaper!.Version: 2.43

Cannot Skip the premium offer.Theres a black box at the top that is blocking me from pressing the X thus forcing me to get premium..Version: 2.40

Way too priceyCheck yourself, $15 is a monthly kind of price champ..Version: 2.8.8

Crashes continuallyI was enjoying this little app until it started crashing continuously. A lot of fun when its working..Version: 2.7.1

Requires payThis app seems like it’ll be free for the first maybe 1st minute then it will say that the app is being personalized for you then you have to pay maybe as little money as $3 and upwards as possibly $20 at most (not proven) so if you want to spend a whole bunch of money on this app, you do you. It seems worth it depending on who you are but at some point I think you’d rather have an actual music instrument or board would be cheaper that way. Not a scam, but not worth money that’s for sure. Also I bet that the other t star ratings are faked.Version: 2.46

If you know how to Make music this isn’t for youWhen you tap on the instrument there’s a type of lag to it so you cant get the type of beat/synth/melody you want. It isn’t as good as it does have good sounds and a verity for packages to chose from. It isn’t a bad game but does need some improvements.Version: 2.43

Fraaaaaad and scumYou are bunch of scums I installed the app then i see i have no way instead of paying your frads drad.Version: 2.35

Requires subscription for free trialDon’t bother downloading. You’re required to comment your payment details even to access the free trail. Try one of the other millions of apps on the market..Version: 2.37

I can’t get by the title screenI bet this is a good app but I can’t get past the main screen without buying it for a year or for a week pls help.Version: 2.38

Awful app!The app is useless and is a money grabbing scam! DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP! Be aware! I cancelled my trial and I still got charged!.Version: 2.45

Could have been a perfect appSuper fun and easy to create surprisingly cool beats , when the app runs correctly. Sometimes there is a delay between the moment you touch a note , and the moment it plays, making every note off timing. Could be a probleme with my phone , but i doubt it. Also the app is totaly overpriced in my opinion but overall it is a great app🤙.Version: 2.30

Ok-ishSome of the samples are good, but there isn’t enough. And at times when you press a button, it responds sluggish so you have to keep deleting the loop and doing it over again until the app responds quick enough for you to make the beat quick you want..Version: 2.17

Please watch this 45 second video before reading this reviewThe worse the ads are, the worse the app. By that scale, this is one of the worst apps of all time. 6% of the development time was spent making the app, 94% of the time was spent coming up with obnoxious ways to shove candy crush down its users throats. “Please buy this app, it’s absolutely worth a weekly subscription, we just have to monetize the free version we promise.” Any app developer who would allow any version of their app to appear/behave this way is not to be trusted. Ever. Under any circumstances. I don’t know if I’ve ever written an app review before. This is the only one I can remember. It’s that bad. Run away..Version: 2.14.1

Can’t use without payingTo do anything you either need to subscribe or do a 3 day trial. No free tier. The subscription is £8.99 per WEEK! Sorry guy, that is ridiculously expensive. It looked like it might be a fun tool, but it is really just a poorly executed money grab. So before you even see what the app is about, you need to commit. And I’m sure enough people forget to cancel the trial to make it profitable. Ugh. Avoid..Version: 2.46

Didn’t Know I Had to PayI understand the app developers need to get some sort of recognition, but if there was a “lite” version or something similar i could try first that would be helpful!.Version: 2.35

EDITED REVIEWEdit: Opened the app today to arrive at the 'remove all ads' screen. No X option to close out of it. My ratings' dropped to one star. The app had greatly improved since when I last left a review. You no longer have to watch an ad everytime to unlock the effects and DJ, but you still have to watch an ad for the other soundpacks, which isnt much of a bother me. Here's my suggestion though, how about the ability to sort of copy and paste parts of your beats? Like I try to make my Chords match my Melody in some of my songs but its EXTREMELY hard to duplicate it by ear!.Version: 2.37

Why say app is for freeIt ain’t free bud u gotta pay to use it.Version: 2.48.1

Hit and complete miss...This would have got a 5 star review but the creator was clearly a greedy person and instead of getting a one time payment, I’d of paid £10 for this, they wanted a monthly/yearly subscription 🤢🤢🤢 real shame tbf. - so I’m even more confused now as the developer replied, so if everything can be unlocked for free, why are you charging a weekly/yearly subscription??? Just sounds like a complete con now....Version: 2.11.1

TrashThis app is probably one of the lower tier basic beat creating apps to put it in terms. The sounds are dry. No matter the combination. The bass frequency isn’t consistent. You’ll hear it and then it fades away, you’ll have to restart the app to fix it just for it to do it again. So much lag too. The response time on each note has some mad delay. Tried it on my buddies iPhone 11 it was laggy on his as well. Cool concept, I can see it being enjoyable for someone with no real beat production experience or a good past time while sitting on the John. My recommendation if you want a basic beat maker game/app for IOS, use GarageBand..Version: 2.23.3

Nothing special10 years to create this app? But it’s so... simple... it’s good at what it does, but it’s a one trick pony. You can change the pitch, tempo and the sound that plays. That’s it. And you can’t add notes that aren’t a single beat. This is a toy for a bit of fun. Not for creating actual beats like advertised. Very disappointed.Version: 2.5

Won’t load past the “use headphones for best experience” screenI decided to get the app after the hundreds of ads you put on tiktok and it won’t even load past the first screen, I will move the rating up when it fixes this.Version: 2.16

So you seriously cannot use without paying?I was excited to use this app but apparently u have to pay! it’s a joke.Version: 2.43

MoneyThey have taken 30 dollars within one week what the hell, I requested a refund nothing yet.Version: 2.16

Slowly getting thereIts definitely fun and the sounds are great but its hard not to compare with other music sequencer apps with great ease-of-use and a premium purchase or pay-per-pack model. There’s also a couple of strange choices like Ableton Link but no background audio and unskippable tutorials. I get having one, but when opening it a separate time to play with my saved file some more, another one shows up. I really like the potential for this little groovebox app and i look forward to the devs continue to integrate it into the ios music landscape..Version: 2.5

Doing good keep it upI like this app very easy to use and also fun to use would be nice if layering was possible for the individual sounds allowing for more complex beats; possibly a little more guidance as to how the different functions work..Version: 2.11.0

Why can’t I use your appI literally tried to use Jambl but it won’t let me do anything until I start the trial but I don’t want to use the trial why can’t I use your app.Version: 2.27

Awful interfaceThis has one of the worst interfaces I’ve ever seen. There are apps constantly, they also ask you every single time to subscribe to their app. It makes it almost impossible to get a flow going. It’s only a good app if you pay otherwise they bog it down but constantly making you watch apps..Version: 2.38

Slight changes will make this a great appI’ve been try to create some sweet tunes an I really love the app but I can’t quite get the timing perfect with the bass and drums and it’s really bugging me that I can’t change the midi notes like if there was a feature to where I can move the notes timing a little bit this app would be 5 stars but in it’s current state I wouldn’t fully recommend it.Version: 2.46

Really good but keeps crashingWhen I save a song I kicks me out then when I try to get back in I just get kicked back out. Good app tho.Version: 2.7.1
