Coding the i3 has greatly increased the usability of the car, and allowed it to be much more usable in challenging situations. I turned on Video in motion, shorten Seatbelt wanting time from 100 seconds to 5 seconds, Rolling up windows and sunroof with key fob. Turned OFF disclaimer. ✓ Good, but does not use iCloud for BackupsI recommend not making too many changes at once, as often your car may not like the changes you do. Doing a few at a time then driving around for a few days gives you a chance to ensure the programming changes are received well by the car. If not, you’ll have to reset the module according to the backup you have (saved on your phone - not iCloud). My one request for this app would be that they would make backups save to iCloud Drive so that they are not lost when you switch devices..Version: 4.1

If you're using ENET cable and your phone, make sure you have a good quality cable and ethernet dongle. ✓ BMW i3 upgradesWith this tool, coupled with the VGate Bluetooth OBDII connector, allowed me to fully customize my car. I was able to add 30 miles of range, add a warm up sequence for the remote which was eliminated when the bmw app 2G support stopped, eliminate annoying warning alarms and customize heated seat temperatures. I made some changes that I didn’t like so I had to use my backup file to go back to the original options, which I did with no issues. I used to have a Pontiac G8 which are made in Australia and I remember looking with a buddy on how to remove the video in motion limit... A company out of Australia wanted 400 bucks for the unit to disable it and then you had to send the thing back... For my BMW I paid 20 bucks for the OBD sensor and 27 bucks for this app and I have already coded about 8 things for my car.... Heck I would have paid 27 bucks just to get rid of the annoying nag screen you get when you start the car before you can change the radio station.... Worth every penny!! Thanks for the great app!!! ✓ Very well done useful app.This is a well supported app for safely coding your BMW. It allows you to safely change and adjust features on your car and ensures the current state is backed up prior to update. The developer was extremely responsive to my question and is very engaged in adding options to the existing feature set. I would suggest adding a “basic” mode for the least sophisticated users that hides the underlying structure of which modules you are actually updating, and just lets you check off common functional changes that the end user is likely to want to change. A sample list would be: Video in motion Mirror fold on locking Sport display Brake force flashing Keyfob close rear hatch (x series) Keyfob close windows/roof Etc. Also I found the app doesn’t like to initially communicate with the WiFi obd2 dongle. If I go into the WiFi and renew the lease once or twice, it then consistently connects to the dongles WiFi existing connection (iPhone 7). I’m assuming this may be able to be tweaked by an app update..Version: 2.5.1

There is no access to engine ECU with this app only interior headunit, dash, lights etc. Follow the instructions and the app is intuitive, fast and easy to use. ✓ Great. FYI for any e61owners......my 2010 e61's headlight washers now go off when I push the rear hatch open button--having tried to turn them off. No joke. Sprays right in my eye if I'm standing at the driver door reaching down to hit the button. Did I get hacked? Great troll on BMW's part. I've confirmed it's not this app's fault. I just programmed my remote and car button for the lift gate to CLOSE also. Why this wasn’t set like this at the factory is beyond my knowledge, but it’s super convenient. There are literally a a hundred settings which can be modified depending on the model and features. Simple things like having the remote open all 4 doors, etc. Great App and updated frequently. ✓ Worked well with BMW i3Recoding my i3 with this app gave my car the ability to go on much longer trips than the original coding. I can now drive the car hundreds of miles between cities using the Rex, and then commute around the area using the batteries only. This recoding alone is worth hundreds of dollars and more to me. I can now run up and down mountain passes at 70 miles an hour. That would have been impossible with the original coding. It would have been a very disappointing car for me if BimmerCode had not unlocked these features. I used the kiwi 3 adaptor with the app and had no trouble..Version: 3.4

✓ Massively usefulI recently acquired a BMW M123d and wanted to change various functions; primarily to remove the annoying Auto Stop & Go, and eliminate the frankly baffling auto door locking. I bought a Veepeak OBD2 module as my existing Carista didn't work with BimmerCode. I plugged the Veepeak into the OBD port and was connected to it immediately via the BimmerCode interface. Within moments I had stopped both of those functions operating, I added a digital speed readout on the dash, changed the wiper intermittent delay at 0mph, adjusted the behaviour of the interior lights, kept the window lifters active for longer after switching the ignition off, added in a brake light check, and shortened the rear intermittent wiper delay. Blummin' marvellous! Definitely the best app I've ever used, just so easy to operate, and so flexible. Superb in every way and without a doubt worth the £35, certainly if one considers the cost of getting these things done at a dealership or specialist. Five stars. Bosh! A quick foot note if you're going to go for this app. Make one adjustment at a time. It's clearly very easy to get carried away and before you know it you'll have changed too much, and then you won't be able to remember what you changed and in what menu you made those changes. ✓ I was nervous, until it worked!I had done a lot of research between Beamerlink and Bimmercode vs Carly. I decided to go with this one because it was a one time purchase. Also the veep peak adapter was also less expensive. As soon as I plugged it in and hit the connect button it worked right away did everything I wanted it to do and I couldn’t be more thrilled. All in both apps and the adapter about $95. It has already paid for itself in the first 30 minutes of use. I couldn’t give a stronger recommendation. ✓ ‘free’ version very limitedWhat it doesn’t say is that the ‘free’ version merely connects to the car and reads the current settings. You cannot save any changes without paying for the full version. So far I have connected to my F25 with one of the approved adaptors, and I have made some changes (with the full version) which have worked. Connection via wifi is the usual mixed bag that you get when you connect an iPhone to something that does not have an internet connection, but I was expecting that. ✓ Personal help from developer…I have to leave a positive review after encountering an issue with the software. After installing a larger display unit for iDrive, I coded the car accordingly. However the BimmerCode software did not work in coding the car correctly. Looking to the forums, this was a known issue with models of my year. It needed to be coded using eSYS. I reached out to the developer and was offered a personal coding session. Time was spent to help and get the issue with the coding sorted. ✓ Bimmercode I love you!I have never spent so much money on an app but it did exactly what I wanted. My 2014 F31 is now rocking Enhanced Bluetooth (EBT option) functionality. I had reservations but this app is well worth the outlay if there’s one or more features you really want. For me, the other coding options are more cosmetic/nice-to-haves e.g. more control over your lights and an audible ‘blip’ on locking (I love it!). For those who have BMW that rolled out of the factory without many options e.g. comfort locking/tailgate controls this will be great. My huge thanks to the developers you have made my day and I’ll be telling everyone to buy this app. 5/5 Update: if it helps anyone, I used the app on a 2014 F31 with CIC headunit, no NAV but with combox fitted. ✓ Great, but can be riskyWhen it works it’s greatest, although: On my X1, I only deactivated the passages seatbelt warning, because just putting my bag on the seat gave me the warning, but doing this deactivation also deactivated the driver’s too. Then I just wanted to reactive it and only deactivate the passages seatbelt reminder I encountered the fallowing errors: 1.- Front-end collision warning failure 2.- Pedestrian collision warning failure 3.- Traction control warning failure 4.- Front camera failure 5.- SOS calling failure... also it cleared my clock and the speed warning too.. ✓ Fantastic. No, really! It’s fantastic!This app, combined with the bluetooth/wifi plug, is very easy to use and automagically creates a backup for you. Note: I sat my iPhone down during the coding process and it went to sleep. I lost connection to the adapter and instantly saw 10 new errors in the notifications. After reconnecting, the app found those errors and corrected them with the latest backup. I only needed basic mode for my mods, but expert mode is available. Worth every penny..Version: 4.1
