✓ Ads for weather??My kid asks me about the weather every morning. I decided to empower him to find the info for himself as a habit by getting the apple app. It’s what I use on my phone, ad free, no problems. The iPad version can’t find our location, even with location services turned on, has half the screen taken up by an ad, like my kids (or any of us) aren’t advertised to enough. It asks you to upgrade to a subscription plan for basic features as the main intro screen every time you open it ($10/mo???). I’m left angry with this version of the ap and very disappointed. I’ll keep using it on my phone, but I’ll clearly be looking for a less obnoxious option for my kid’s device..Version: 2.1.6
✓ Very disappointedI downloaded this to my iPad assuming it is the same free app that comes with my iPhone as the icons are very similar if not identical. As soon as I opened the app I was hit y a subscription offer to unlock various features and not a cheap subscription either. ✓ Not very accurate and misses some needed informationI downloaded this app just to see how it was gonna be for the rest of a Thursday night at 10:00. It was raining outside and I wanted to see how long it would rain for. I checked the weather and it said it was sunny and hot. It was dark outside and rainy. There are good qualities and bad qualities of this app, but I overall wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone. I’ve read the reviews and I was confused as to why this app was working for a lot of people. But I did read one review that was very similar to mine, about the rain. Please check this out, I’m sorry if I did too much critique on this app but I’m still very confused as to why it said there was no rain on a very rain thunder-stormy day. ✓ Dreadful upgradeI have cancelled my subscription after the last app update as the app has become unusable. The hourly forecast no longer includes the wind forecast. In addition when you scroll across the hourly forecast it doesn’t tell you which day it is for so you have to carefully keep track as you slowly scroll across. I’m sure someone thought it looked prettier this way but it was obviously someone who doesn’t use the app or know anything about the weather.Version: 3.0.3

✓ Deceptive 3 day free trial click-thru charging $10 mo subscriptionAfter downloading this free app containing in-app purchases, the first page you see is a large white screen listing a few of the app’s features and a large continue button at the bottom. Also in small print, it states 3 day free trial and $9.99 monthly. What is deceptive about this (which may not have been intentional) is that the initial page, immediately after downloading the app, is actually a large pop-up that can be closed with a small X in the corner to continue onto the forecast but is not immediately evident since it takes up the whole screen. To continue on the the actual app, most people will think to click on the large continue button to go on to seeing the weather forecast without realizing that doing so would initiate a charged monthly subscription. Instead of “Continue”, the button should instead say “Buy” to make it obvious that they are clicking thru to charged content and not to the free version that they were intending to use. We did not want a free trial nor a subscription to the app and it was never our intention to do so. We would like a refund..Version: 2.0.22
✓ Poor app...limited detail unless you pay!There are many weather apps on the App store that offer hour by hour forecast generally offering a premium service to give a longer range forecast. This app is unique....you have to pay a premium to even get hour by hour. The basic version only offers a 3 hour range. Complete waste of time. ✓ Does not work unless you buy PremiumThe app does absolutely nothing unless you buy the Premium. This is no exaggeration. Supposedly, the app forecasts the weather of the location that you enter in a text box. Based on my experience, it doesn’t recognise any city/town/sensible location as a valid entry (until, I presume, you buy Premium). I even tried “London”, but the app just presented an ‘X’. Additionally, it frequently asks whether you’d like to buy Premium. This makes for an annoying user experience, and I find the marketing highly aggressive. In short, the app serves no useful function whatsoever. The developers are just trying to fleece customers – don’t give them the satisfaction. ✓ Great weather app but...Gives a good general forecast for a wide range of locations but every time I launch it the settings have reverted to default (e.g. Celsius has reverted to Fahrenheit). If it saved my preferred settings I would have given 4 stars. If no ongoing subscription: 5 stars. ✓ AwfulDownloaded to see the weather while on my very enjoyable holiday so i can plan the rest of my enjoyable holiday but to be able to plan i needed to check the weather. ✓ Radar Map issuesOverall this app does provide accurate weather data for my home area. The issue I have is the radar map. It takes a very long time to load and when it does it has multiple blocked out areas where no data shows. There radar shows properly outside and behind these overlayed block areas. ✓ Honest opinion- terrible appI would give this app a 2 out of 5 because once you get this app, you would have to pay, yes pay to see hour by hour forecasts, day by day forecasts, and you would also have to pay to get weather alerts. I do NOT recommend getting this app because what if there’s a hurricane or a flood near your area? This app wouldn’t alert you unless you pay, your basically paying this app to save your life. ✓ Can’t change settingsI downloaded this app today bc the apple weather app was glitching and i saw that it took up very little storage. first of all the way they have ppl subscribe is so sketchy. they put a full-screen pop-up with a big blue button that says start (as in start the subscription) but the x to close is tiny, in a corner, and only a few shades darker than the background of the pop-up. second of all $10 monthly for a weather app??? ridiculous. when i close the pop-up, the app is defaulted to: paris france as the city, in celsius and the date is november 18th. i’m writing this on september 23rd. what even. when i try to change the city it doesn’t work, and when i try to change the celsius to fahrenheit it also doesn’t work, i’ve tried closing and opening the app as well as uninstalling and reinstalling. this app is awful i’d give it 0 out of 5 stars if i could.Version: 1.3

✓ It’s nice but it wont show towns or cities I wantThis is a fine weather app but there are 2 problems. First, you can only see weather for every few hours for 2 days, and it only shows the forecast for that week, unless you pay for the subscription. Second, the only town I was able to get in was the one I live in (because it used the find my location) but none around me. For example, I could live in Philadelphia Pa. ✓ App said no rain during a severe stormI could tell it was going to rain. I wanted to know when and since my phone was charging I downloaded this app for iPad. Well it isn’t clean a design to read as the app on my iPhone, but it seemed like it was the same or similar from the icon and it was free, so I downloaded it. It showed partly-cloudy and no rain for the rest of the evening. Within minutes a thundershower began. So I went to my phone now charged and sure enough my Weather Channel app says Sever Thunderstorm warning and even clocked the lightning strike I heard with my own ears within a minute of it happening! Meanwhile, this app still shows no rain. I’m deleting this app and sticking with Weather Channel app..Version: 2.0.2

✓ It’s OKI needed a weather app for planning purposes, so I thought I’d try this one out. Bad decision, (in their defense I have an old iPad that’s laggy in general but no app is as bad as this) it crashes all the time, is soooo extremely glitchy, and most of the time the weather isn’t even correct. I’ve been using it for a few months but then randomly today it said I need to put a city in and I looked up my city and nothing came up just a blank screen, and that’s when I decided i was just done. Weather apps is for looking at weather not some game this isn’t a game, this is an important piece in life! What if there was a tsunami coming to your part of the country and you use this app to check it, you wouldn’t be able to look at it because it costs money I mean come on! This isn’t a kids game where it’s an in app purchase.. oh wanna know something funny? It’s funny how this app gets a dozen of positive reviews and rates when it’s really expensive! ✓ Pointless even downloadingThis app is absolutely ridiculous as when you download, it asks about purchasing premium, of course I said no as I wasn’t going to PAY to look at the weather! After I said no, I tried to search my own city, an ‘x’ kept appearing so I searched everywhere and anywhere and it kept happening... the dreaded ‘x’. I have tried everything but a pop up kept saying ‘unlock all features’ which pretty much means unlock the whole app! They are just trying to get money off you. ✓ Whole numbers???Why would anyone want to use this app when the weather is in whole numbers. Temp 9, 10, 11, how about 9.2, 10.5, 11.8 and feel like too. Totally useless. And who would pay a subscription for information I can get for free. This app should have a upfront payment and that’s it. Remove ads. Done. Could have been so good. ✓ Do not get this app terrible !So I wanted to get this app because it looked pretty Good so I got it and I searched in my city because I need to know what the weather is going to be like and then I tapped search and it kept on coming up with an x and I tried so many times and and it done the same . ✓ Honestly it’s pretty badThis app does the basics. But you have to pay to unlock 10 day forecast?! And pay to unlock hour by hour forecast?! I can go to the weather channel and get a 10 day forecast for free plus a radar that tells me when it’s going to rain. That’s not the only thing. I’m currently on vacation and I’m trying to get the city that I go to the beach. I’m typing it correctly and nothing shows up. I don’t recommend getting this app unless you’re frickin’ rich. $9.99 per week plus tax. That’s about $500 per year..Version: 2.1.1

✓ Not worth itThis app looks really good but when you open it it asks for a premium subscription. Like most apps there is a limited amount you can door so i thought but whenever I tryed adding a new city a cross sine came up and it cancelled. ✓ Meh...This app was okay...It MADE my buy a membership but I declined the offer. I tried to buy this app to see what the weather was Bc obviously goggle does nothing and I could see what was going on in my area but I tried to go to see what tomorrow’s weather was going to be and it said I had to buy the membership. If you want a weather app that ONLY tells you that day’s weather and convinces you to buy it over and over go for it. ✓ Loved it until they added a big ad when you open the appI think I’ve tried almost every weather app out there and found this one to be the most usable design in terms Of giving me the details I wanted in a way that was easy to scan. (No more confusing the time for the temp!) But I’ve switched to a 2 star rating because the app now takes soooooo long to load (15-30 seconds) ever since they made it open with a big ad to subscribe. I have to X off the ad to get away from it, and then the actual weather info takes forever to appear. ✓ Not worth the subscriptionAmbient Weather sent me a pitch for this confusingly-named app (hello, there’s at least one other app named “Weather”, maybe you could’ve gone with “Ambient Weather” instead). The monthly subscription was unreasonable, but the annual subscription would have been okay ... IF they had included my Ambient Weather-connected personal weather station to it! I really don’t understand why Ambient Weather was plugging this app if it couldn’t meet that basic functionality test. Also, because the cost is per-device, it doubles (at least) my initial spend. ✓ Warning. Not the free apple weather appDownloaded this app in error after setting up my new iPad. This is NOT this official apple free weather app, but is cleverly designed to look like it. I was charged £9.99 for a months subscription after two days of use without being asked. Although when I contacted iTunes I was refunded fully, so not big deal. ✓ Weather app subscription greed...This is a nice, clean, simplistic app that would be a great version of weather for the iPad. I would buy it in a sec...if it was for a realistic, once off price. Unfortunately, this does not provide that. Instead the developer has attempted to guarantee a regular income for himself and only offers an astoundingly expensive subscription service. ✓ Pop-ups completely block usability.I was using the Weather Channel app, which I have been using for several years, refusing to update it, knowing it would be worse and would try to get around privacy settings/desire. The app crashed and had to be deleted/reinstalled, which led to a terrible new interface (developers: simple = better). Searched for a new one and found this one (which reminded me of the old, simple Weather Channel app). I don’t mind a non-animated/distracting add at the bottom of the page, but this one has pop ups which block the whole page and worse yet, one pushing the premium version, which try’s to trick you into clicking into endless monthly payments (class action waiting to happen). ✓ BAD 😡This app is bad. To start off it advertises it’s premium soooooooo much and you press on an option and it says BUY PREMIUM! Then when I want to find out another city’s weather it doesn’t give me it. I searched Melbourne, nothin. I searched Perth but I got the Perth in Scotland. I do NOT recommend this app.Version: 2.1.4
