SleepWatch - Top Sleep Tracker for Negative User Reviews

It’s okOther apps such as sleep recorder gives the ability to listen to 15 of the recordings for free. I tried this all out last night hoping to be able to check my snoring in the morning. I was sadly surprised in the morning when I wasn’t able to access any of the recordings without having to pay. I wasted my time on this app and I wish it just disclosed from the start that I would not be able to access the sound features..Version: 7.5.8

App stopped tracking sleepThe app has stopped tracking my sleep. I even make an effort to charge the watch before sleep. Rather frustrating. Some advice would be appreciated I’ve lost a considerable amount of weight. So my watch is quite loose on my wrist. Unsure if this would cause it Update. I accidentally disabled heart rate monitoring on my Apple Watch. Which caused this. You may want to put a notice in the app saying heart rate detection is required..Version: 6.20.5

SleepThis app you have to pay and that’s ok , and you have to wait 7 days to see the results and I don’t get how it can know what’s wrong. I’m 11, I’ve been waking up in the middle of the night no idea why my therapist says she think it’s because of my anxietu it may be that she said but it never started and she said it could mean you have to use the bathroom and I do but I never use to wake up so I’m trying to find why and my mom doesn’t think I can go to a sleep test in person because that’s for adults and not for kids. And with covid it’s probably not open I would have to wear a mask when I sleep. So I don’t know what to do I do take sleep gummies to help me fall asleep but I don’t think that’s the case and it does make me tired becaus sometimes I can’t fall bavk asleep I was up for 3 hours. And I wake up different times it depends. So please help thanks. The app is not really helping me and I know people say it’s good but please give me a overall of This app because I don’t understand it I’m trying to find ways to help me. And it’s very hard during a pandemic but I apprieavge you making this up but I just need a understanding. Thanks.Version: 6.14.2

App glitchingApp has started to glitch and turn off after last update.Version: 7.0.2

Accuracy is an issueI’ve been using the premium paid version for many months now and based on my sustained usage do not feel this app is accurate. Needs to be improved before I would continue paying for this app..Version: 6.1.4

Useless for meI downloaded not realizing it needed an Apple Watch which I do not have. Without the watch it’s pretty much useless..Version: 6.3.1

App crashes everytime I open itWasted money buying this app, it crashes everytime I open it. Can't complete the setup before it crashes so can't even use it on my apple watch. Don't buy it!!.Version: 2.0.3

No support at allAbsolutely loved the app. However, it has completely stopped workong doesnt track my sleep doesnt track my heart rate anymore. Gone through all the troubleshooting steps and it still does not work. Contacted the support email over a week ago and heard absolutely nothing. Quite disappointed as the app seem to stop working around the same time I paid for a premium subscription. Feel quite conned as without any contact I have no way of getting a refund either!.Version: 6.11.6

Avoid this appIt is okay - I was premium subscriber for 3 years but no more! There are similar competitors out there and I’ve had a terrible experience with their customer service department. For some inexplainable reason the app requires an internet connection to tell you how your sleep was. No one can answer why but when I really need to calculate my sleep and vitals accurate while climbing a mountain internationally, I didn’t have signal to connect to the internet. Their customer service couldn’t answer why - I can only assume because they are selling the data. If my phone and watch are connected by Bluetooth why do I need to connect to their servers to register my sleep? Plus I find it is a battery hog and I would look at the competitors first! Update: they say their customer service team responds “swiftly” - 1-2 days between messages is not swiftly. And the response attempts to misdirect. None of the reasons listed here are justification to require internet connection as a mandatory requirement to confirm sleep. They don’t even explain why it is required. And I don’t wish to do without connectivity as a rule just in the rare times I don’t have internet, which I explained but they don’t listen to..Version: 7.1.4

Great but can’t turn on screenI love this App and it is by far the most accurate one I have found with the most features. I definitely plan on buying the premium version however the one thing that is holding me back is that when I’m getting ready for sleep and I turn on sleep tracking when I touch my Apple Watch screen to make it turn off the time is displayed on the screen and the only way that I can get rid of this is to turn off the always on display and turn it back on in the morning which is a huge nuisance. This is definitely something going on in the app because when I turn on sleep mode on my watch and tap the screen it is black but when I have sleep mode on and the app tracking my sleep the screen is always displaying the time and bright white numbers I hope this gets fixed or there is at least an option to toggle this feature..Version: 6.20.1

Poor customer serviceI bought the app when it wasnt free and a few months later they made the app free and introduced the premium service. For the people who already paid for the app and premium services in the first place, they get nothing much anymore and now we have to pay monthly to even use the app for its full features which we already paid for. I think they should have atleast rolled out 6 months free premium at the very least..Version: 6.11.3

Completely inaccurateIt said I slept almost 8 hours when I was awake all night, except for about 1 1/2 hours of sleep just before waking for the day. I was wearing my fit bit versa as well and it was a little off, saying 3 hours, but way more accurate. Also, I wish SleepWatch was a little more detailed about cycles (as in rem, deep, light, awake) Fitbit also reports estimated oxygen variation which can be an indication of nocturnal respiratory problems such as sleep apnea. Having asthma, I like having that available. Wish it was offered through SleepWatch..Version: 6.5.0

What’s in it for me?Like so many businesses / products / services today, we are often asked for our feedback. Human nature is to be helpful; we obligingly fill out surveys or answer a few brief questions. To what end? I’m giving my time and opinion for their benefit. I don’t mind doing this occasionally — on my terms. DAILY alerts to “tell us more about yourself” besides the “how rested do you feel today?” All while, I do not see a reward of my participation in these queries for the data crunchers and bean counters. Of course (I assume), if I pay for the extra features, I might gain some insight from my routine do-gooder helpful and honest responses. Please add a setting / option to opt out of the survey pool. On to a fresh complaint: the sleep detection is losing accuracy, reporting far less sleep than I actually get. Nearly every day for this week, I’ve needed to manually set my sleep times. What gives? One more thing, if I fail to charge my watch or just plain forget to wear it for one night, then comparison data returns “ not enough info, please wear your watch at night” when there is clearly 783+ days of info on me with only random single night gaps” surely a trend greater than 3 days would yield a far more accurate picture off sleep health. Can you compensate for the occasional fall from grace wherein the user bares all (wrists) in the boudoir?.Version: 6.0.0

GarbageWhat a surprise the only review is from 2 years ago. I used it one night in what was supposed to be a “free” trial. Premium upgrades kept popping up preventing me from accessing features in the app. When I finally got around this and set it up to use for the first night I was eager to see the data, and hear the sounds in the morning. What a surprise (sic) again that I need to pay to hear the sound data. I deleted the app and I am very disappointed…I’m not paying for anything unless I know it works and if the free trail doesn’t work that’s telling me something. Don’t recommend..Version: 7.3.6

LOVE 💕 but one concernI have been using this app since September 2020. I enjoy checking it and using the tips to help me work on better sleeping habits. I love the fact that on Sunday nights it pops up with a tip to remind me Mondays are my most difficult day. I alway report feeling somewhat fatigue or very fatigue on Mondays. I have two dogs and most nights they wake me up to go outside around 3am. “Sleep disruption.” It tracks that, which is very cool!! Now my concern is, and this has only begun to happen since December, it does not track my sleep correctly. Example; I’ve gone to bed at 8pm, known I’ve fallen asleep within the hour but the tracker does not begin to track my sleep until hours later, like midnight. It’s very frustrating when I look at the tracker in the morning and see its incorrectly tracked my time. I pay monthly which I like because I don’t have a commitment and because of that I have contemplated canceling it which saddens me. Does anyone else experience this same issue..Version: 6.14.4

Won’t let me past first screenGarbage app do not download won’t go past first screen..Version: 5.6.2

Subtle insults to goad you into sleep “health”This product has been just okay. I don’t find it completely accurate but it has helped for what I needed from it. I do wish it had a “I have small kids” option on it as I am woken up often with babies. I am just about at the point of deleting this app due to their most recent marketing scheme. I was sent a message that said(my interpretation as I can’t remember exactly) “76% of users are better at using this app than you, upgrade to our premium level to do better”. Whew. I mean who needs a toxic partner when you have your sleep app comparing and putting you down.. No, I will not upgrade to your premium level. I might continue using this app until a nicer and perhaps more encouraging one comes out. - a tired momma … Update: six months later I continue to receive guilt/shame messages about how 86% of other people are better than me. I’m disgusted with the tactics that this app uses and will remove it from my phone/watch.Version: 7.0.1

It just stopped workingI loved this app until it just stopped working. For months now I have an error saying Missing Watch Data Detected. It’s not syncing with Apple help. I’ve followed the instructions many times and have even had a friend try. Still no luck. I’m so disappointed..Version: 6.2.1

Simple and excellentI love this sleep app. Set it and forget it. It will do all the work for you. I tried a few others and they are expensive and not as intuitive as this one. One small price and you’re good to go. It’s so worth it. This one tells me everything I’m after except temperature which I’m sure they will do at some point or maybe I missed how to do that. Try it and love it. That is my recommendation.Version: 7.5.7

Wow, this app SUCKS!!!Wore my watch to sleep for a week and this app didn’t track anything! Kept saying not enough data. Use a different sleep tracker. Don’t waste your time with this one..Version: 6.2.1

No longer detects my sleep properlyI’ve been using this app for over a year and generally like it. But in the last two months, it has started to miss large portions of my sleep, requiring me to manually add it. And often this will be like a two hour gap in the middle of the night. The other sleep tracking app I use has no problem, and shows that I was asleep..Version: 6.4.2

Very inaccurateTracks sleep when I’m up and using my phone, says I’m awake when I know I’ve been sleeping. Not at all an accurate measure of sleep. I’m very disappointed in Apple Watch that this is the best they can do..Version: 6.11.6

Great till it started crashingBefore the last update it was great. Now it doesn’t work.Version: 7.4.1

TerribleTracking was spot on. Then iPhone updated and now it doesn’t track sleep accurately. Sometime not at all. Watch is on wrist snug. Nothing I had been doing has changed. Looking for a new app to track sleep. Fitbit had an awesome sleep tracking..Version: 6.13.0

Top rated crash?Tried this app, but it wants to know how well rested you are but you can’t enter anything because it’s a continual communication error. I just deleted it after three days of trying it cause it wouldn’t let me get past that page this time. I wouldn’t recommend this app..Version: 7.3.6

Ridiculously inaccurateI was awake till 3 am using both my watch and phone, walking, sitting, going up and down the stairs even and it says I slept from 9pm to 9am!!!!!.Version: 6.6.1

Woke up half way it had me waking up in the futureWoke up in the middle of the night. Checked the data recorded. To my surprise, it had me in the future😂. Data was for the next morning when the morning had barely started. It had my heart beats shown as a data for the next morning. What a joke!! Come will probably reply back saying it’s forecasted data. Or a screen shot saying we had mentioned that. Well that would be untrue cause I have read it all. Don’t trust this app or the company!!.Version: 6.3.3

Don’t trust this expensive app, it is a privacy nightmareThis app absurdly expensive, especially when other apps do a better job for a fraction of the price. Add to that you are paying for the right to have your data mined for targeted advertising. I’m so over snakes who start their privacy policy’s with double speak, starting with the words “we do not share you information” then following up with all the ways they do share your information. “We also use your information to promote features or products that we think you would be interested in. “ We may transfer information to our service providers, corporate affiliates, and other partners who process it for us, based on our instructions, and in compliance with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures. These partners may provide us with services, including for customer support, payments, information technology, server infrastructure, sales, fulfillment, marketing, research, communications, data analysis and surveys.” Nobody in their right mind would pay 50 bucks a year to have their data mined..Version: 6.3.1

Very disappointingThe watch/app does not detect sleep; it detects movement. I deal with chronic insomnia by listening to radio programmes and podcasts to keep calm and suppress anxiety. I listen to numerous programmes and news broadcasts during the night—hour upon hour—and what does the app report? 8hrs 25min sleep. I wish! Don’t waste your money on this app. I suspect they’re all as dodgy..Version: 5.6.2

Good info but painful experienceI’ve had this for a few years and have liked but not “needed” the information. It was a great program. I have the “free” version. In the past year the developer has turned the simple experience into a terrible experience. Every time you open the app, a splash page opens to encourage you to upgrade. The interface is now littered with blurred out placeholders for all the options you don’t have. Recently, they added in-app ads. When you try to scroll in the application, it will snap back to the ad to make sure you’re seeing it. Obviously the free plan makes no money and they’d like to make some. I never had a need for the pro features though. I wouldn’t mind paying a small fee for the application with its current features but I’m not going to subscribe for an ongoing payment. The experience has gotten so bad that rather than upgrade, I’d rather look for another app to replace it..Version: 7.4.24

Forcing me to provide dataBe prepared to receive messages asking you to provide more information, like “Access Workouts” and ONLY ONE OPTION TO CHOOSE- a button “OK”! - this is RIDICULOUS! I decide what I do with my information. Deleting it from my phone now - and I suggest more people to do the same..Version: 6.11.7

Not workingGood app however after last update the app will sync with Apple Watch..Version: 6.2.1

Not accurate for meFails to accurately record the amount of sleep I’m getting. Always says I’m getting a fraction of what I know I’m actually getting. Also too many pop up questions throughout the day for my liking..Version: 6.10.4

Incorrect data tracking.I enjoyed this app for two years, Recently, it has become awful as it is inaccurate and increasingly crushing..Version: 7.5.9

Paying twice? Ridiculous.I PAID for this app earlier this year because of the features it offered.... Now a few months down the line, I’m being lured in to paying a monthly fee to get features - the SAME features I paid to use months ago with the app. I loved this app until you did this update and tried to scam me out of more money to use features I previously loved. It was the only app I could rely on to track my habits and patterns regularly, now it’s just a joke that I have to pay even more money on top of the app to get the same features I paid for earlier this year..Version: 4.7

Like it but need to fix issue..Update: After trying so many time to get the app to show the reports on my watch it finally worked. I had to make sure I download the UPDATED version and that it’s the one for the watch NOT the phone. (When you search in the Apple store for the app, next to it should say Apple Watch) So I reinstalled it again, it started working. Still keeping at 3 stars due to me being patient enough to keep trying to get it to work on my own. I like this app it. I have tried a few and this seems to be the most accurate one that tracks my sleep with me wearing my watch to bed. My only issues with the app this is that I can’t see my reports on my Apple Watch (series 5), hence the only 3 stars. It still say “Setup Required. Complete setup on iPhone to continue.” I even uninstalled and reinstalled every way possible and restart my phone and watch still nothing. I even gave it two days before writing this review just so it can show up on my watch. I have tried everything that they recommended on the website for it to work but nothing. I even try clicking on the “feedback and support” in setting and it said that I don’t have an account, which is weird because I do and I’m logged into it. So I’m out of options. Please, please fix issues so I can fully get the best experience and report with this app. Thank you..Version: 6.6.0

Tracking issuesDoesn’t track my sleep sometimes. Please fix or I’m going to stop paying the subscription..Version: 7.5.14

Just okI purchase this app a long ago and used it happily. Then they restricted features because they went to a subscription model. That was annoying, but my biggest compliant is that it uploads all my data to the internet (and then likely sells it). It pretends to be trying to import it from your Apple Watch but if you put it on airplane mode you can't see your sleep data..Version: 6.10.5

Doesn’t work properlyIt always says I got way more sleep than I actually did, adds a couple hours almost every time.Version: 6.13.4

Great reports. Annoying notifications.I love using this app to track my sleep. It has given me some very useful insights to help me sleep better. What I don’t love is the notifications it sends me. For example: Every morning when I wake up, I open the app, log how well rested I feel, and then review its metrics for the night (sleeping heart rate dip, etc.). That’s the only interaction with the app I need. But five or ten minutes later, it pings me with my daily sleep report. But I already know what it’s going to say, because I just looked at it! Then there’s the recommendations the app sends me for improving my sleep. They were very useful at first: I sleep better on days when I exercise. I’d feel more rested if I got 8 hours and 15 minutes of sleep every night. Great. But it just keeps giving me those same recommendations over and over again. I don’t need to see them anymore. And then there are the ongoing inquiries as to why I slept particularly well or poorly the night before. My answers are usually always the same: I exercised the day before. Or I didn’t exercise. The app has already identified this connection between sleep and exercise for me. And it reads my workout data, so it knows how much I exercise. So there’s really no need to keep asking! I know. I can turn off notifications. And I probably will. But the app would be much better (IMO) if these issues were addressed..Version: 6.0.1

Upselling is terrible nowI enjoyed this app until the last few months as they have been upselling like crazy. I can’t open the app without getting a full page ad and the interface really shows what I am supposedly “missing“. But I was a premium member and I didn’t find it that useful so I stopped. I really wish they hadn’t started on this draconian upselling. It makes going to the app unpleasant and tedious to always dismiss the ads. So much I’m thinking of leaving it now..Version: 7.4.1

Doesn’t work on Apple WatchI was planning to get yearly subscription, downloaded on my Apple Watch 7, and automatically on my iPhone XR. It started working straight away on my phone, didn’t work on my watch. Showing message that I should finish setting on my phone and continuing “updating” whole night and next day. Actually next day I’ve got all updated info about my sleeping on my phone, and still nothing on my watch - just “updating”.. I didn’t want to buy the app only on my phone, so sorry, but I uninstalled it and cancelled my subscription. 2 stars only because phone app was working fine.Version: 6.20.12

GarbageThis app used to be good, but it is useless since the last update. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere for a sleep app..Version: 6.11.6

Worked great for a few weeksWorked for a few weeks and now it rarely works. I found the Fitbit sleep tracker the most reliable I wish I could get that app on my Apple Watch..Version: 6.11.10

UnreliableI like the app, the idea of it, but it definitely is not accurate at least not with my iPhone 11. When paired with My iPhone 8, I get very disrupted and only light sleep. I rarely get deep sleep and only for a few minutes when I do. This is probably more accurate, thought I hope I get more deep sleep than it records. When paired with my 11, I sleep like a baby, getting about 50% deep and light sleep. It usually notices when I get up to use the restroom but not if I just wake for a bit and go back to sleep. When it does know I get up, it usually thinks I go right back back to sleep even if I am awake for an extended period. Also, yesterday, I forgot to replace the watch after showering and it recorded the whole day as me ( light) sleeping when it was home and I was at work. You would at least think it would recorded it as deep sleep with no heartrate and no movement..Version: 6.16.0

Doesn’t work at allYou’re better off to get a fitbit to wear at night! The sleep tracking is amazing & doesn’t cost a cent. I couldn’t get any info out of this app at all without having to pay 😒.Version: 6.3.1

Not reliableI am super bummed about my rating and this app. I bought the app after reading the reviews. While I understand that nothing will be full proof and 100% accurate with recording my sleep by just wearing a watch. However, I’d be more accurate knowing my sleep if I just looked at a clock before I went to bed and when I woke up. I could manually calculate my actual sleep. Here is the background. I have a newborn, so I wanted to see how much sleep I was actually getting. Figured the reviews were good enough, the app wasn’t expensive...it is worth a shot. Well, it was recording 7+ hours of sleep a night. Anyone that has ever had a baby knows you don’t get 7 hours of sleep in the first few weeks. So, I realized it was wrong. Twice in the last two weeks I haven’t even worn my watch at night and the next morning it told me I got 7 hours of sleep one night and 3.5 hours another. When I opened the app, it showed time of restful sleeping and not. I am guessing my watching charger got a good nights rest one night and not another. Clearly, the app doesn’t work correctly. Save your money folks..Version: 3.6

NapsI doesn’t keep good records of a nap. After I’m awake for two hours and I take a short nap for 45 minutes. It shows asleep disruption in my sleep pattern which is totally stupid. I will be watching it for the next couple weeks if they don’t fix it I will be switching apps. I used to use Fitbit and it worked fine with naps even after being awake for a half an hour if you lay back down and took a nap it showed a nap not a sleep disruption. You would think with the programmers they would be able to figure this out when writing software but apparently not. Fitbit must be the only one that can figure it out or maybe just this companies too lazy. I just looked and there’s several apps in the App Store that do a better job tracking your naps and your sleep time. For the fee they charge you would think they would care more. The response I got is we will look in to it. Really look into it!! So I will be canceling my subscription for anybody for future reference I would refer you to a different app if you do naps in the middle of the day. This one is worthless!!.Version: 6.18.0

Privacy concerns; not recommended for trans peopleClaims to "value your privacy" and then buried about ten pages into the privacy policy, reveals "Cookies and similar technologies help us to recall things about you [...] to enable our partners to serve ads for products and services". The attempt to hide this by burying it pages and pages down did not impress me. Granted, this portion is for the website and may only be referring to using Google Analytics, but if they are so committed to privacy they should find another analytics solution that doesn't potentially give users' private medical information to Google. The app itself also says it "may" use IP address as a proxy for location even if you deny the app access to your location data, which is not something a company truly committed to privacy should be doing, ever. And an unrelated issue for trans people, the app requires you to input your biological sex (fine in itself, it's potentially medically relevant) but then gives no option for people on HRT to indicate so despite testosterone level being more important than birth sex for heart measurements, and then continues to list the user as their biological sex on their profile. The word choice of "biological sex" on the signup screen also seems to imply the devs are fully aware transgender people exist but feel they should be referred to and medically treated as their birth sex..Version: 6.22.1

What’s up with reading when you sleep?I have been using this app for around 1 year now and I have one major problem with it. It is always getting my sleep times wrong. If I am inactive on the couch of an evening it says I am asleep, sometimes from 9pm!! Wouldn’t you link it to when you put your phone in sleep mode? Fix this guys and gals and it’s a good little app. Without it it’s completely inaccurate..Version: 7.5.6

Not the answerI was really hoping that SleepWatch would help identify what is causing my sleep and severe fatigue that I have been experiencing for 2 years. Whilst the data and insights provided by this app is interesting, it went no way to help with my sleep and fatigue issues. Fortunately I am now having proper medical sleep analysis (full polysomnography) and moving in the right direction towards a solution. For me, despite initial high hopes of the app, I’m afraid that this is no more than fancy “snake oil”. That’s NOT to say that the app will continue to be a very useful tool for other users..Version: 7.4.23

Mistracks sleepI had my watch on the charger all day and the app tracked 2 hours of sleep even tho the watch was charging. The app also uses tracked sleep from the day before after a certain time and adds it to the next day. That is wrong and should not do that. I sleep during the day cause i work nights. All my tracked sleep should be all on the one day not split between two days like this app is doing. I’m currently on the trial and when that is done i will be deleting this app and will stick with the other sleep app i have..Version: 6.0.1

Not worthI tried this app to track sleep information but it doesn’t track anything. I didn’t get any help from the support group either so just uninstalled it..Version: 6.10.1

Great app but….Pretty sweet app here. Great looking and except for a slow load in the morning, it’s difficult for me to give this app the business. All said, I wonder why Sleep Watch has not followed the way of Apple or Pillow. RE: sharing the REM Deep sleep stats with the app. The developer sent out an email maybe a month ago saying that this option would be available. But it’s been crickets. I also am not a fan of the “tag” section. It’s getting unwieldy and the user can’t edit this section. Especially add a tag. I take Advil PM every now and then before bed. Would like to see how that affects my sleep over the weeks and months. And I would love to delete the many tags I will never use. It would make the tagging option visually appealing instead of being on steroids looking at all of the tags there now. Five star app if the developer makes these two easy changes..Version: 7.3.2

ScamThey like to charge your card and even though you didn’t sign up to there subscription. And they make it almost impossible to cancel it. Complete scam.Version: 6.5.0

Waste of money.Waste of money really. It doesn't do anything more then the generic I watch app does not to mention it's harder to work out. Already got a much better one..Version: 6.9.0

I SERIOUSLY HATE ITOkay I know hate is a strong word but for one night I tested it I kept moving around and it wasn’t tracking it my phone is an iPhone eleven it is incredibly smart so I know what I am doing and I find it really hard to get to sleep I go to sleep at midnight and wake up at three your app doesn’t help me go to sleep with the white noise and all it just doesn’t I don’t actually know why it is on here but pls sort it out otherwise I am deleting it plus I go to bed around ten at night surely it shouldn’t take this long for someone to fall asleep DONT DOWNLOAD UNLESS THEY SORT IT OUT.Version: 7.4.23

Proprietary calculations…I use a couple of other sleep trackers, and this is the most frustrating. It seems to heavily weight your “sleep score” based on interruptions. I had a particular score after 5 hours of sleep, which seemed appropriately low, but even when I went back to bed an hour later for another two hours, the app LOWERED my score, despite me feeling more rested and energetic. When I contacted support to ask why that would be, the answer was “we use a propriety calculation I can’t share with you.” Seriously? Just give me general idea of the logic here. Some of us can’t always get our full night sleep in a single straight shot. Telling me a nap to make up for it actually made my sleep worse makes no sense. Sorry that I fell for the annual subscription…definitely won’t be renewing. I’m not trying to abscond with your formula, I just want to know the logic here..Version: 7.5.5

Not convinced this is very accurateI am sure this app works great for people who have normal sleep patterns. It certainly is not accurate when reporting my sleep score. As an example, last nightI was particularly restless. My watch reports at least one minute of standing/walking around at 1 AM, 2 AM, 3 AM. This app reports light sleep during the same period. I have been in contact with support about the problem with the app and all they suggested was changing the sensitivity to high then changing the sensitivity to low when that did not work. Honestly it seems their support is merely there to use automatic replies rather than actually listening to the customer issues. As an update to this review. Heard from support again and honestly they are simply unwilling to listen to their customers. I only wish I had not subscribed for a full year as there is no way to get a refund. I have now deleted this app and downloaded one that costs a fraction of the cost and provides highly reliable data..Version: 7.1.1

Freezes too oftenThe app freezes almost daily and doesn’t let you complete the sleep report.Version: 6.10.3

Completely InaccurateI can be wide awake, putting inputs into my apple watch, and this app will report me being in a sleep state. it’s sleep tracking differs significantly from the native Apple sleep monitor, which seems to be far more accurate regarding sleep/waking states. Save your money, look elsewhere..Version: 7.5.7

I can’t trust the resultsI’m a terrible sleeper. The app often over estimates my sleep. How does it not know when I visit the bathroom? I always screenshot my watch face when I wake so I can record how bad my sleep was in my photo library and compare waking times to the app in the morning. I have to amend the app sleep times every single night. Again, how does the watch/app not realise I must be awake to press its side buttons simultaneously? Now testing the low sensitivity setting to see if it’s any more reliable..Version: 6.22.1

Storage Full - Will Cancel Service if I Don’t Get A Timely ResponseI originally really liked this app and is accuracy, so I opted for the premium subscription. But I am realizing that 1/4 of my phone storage is being taken up by this APP! There is a “data deletion request” option, but you have to email the developer to get it done, which seems like an entirely unnecessary step (???) There HAS to be an easier way to either free up some space within the app OR make it so the app doesn’t take up so much space in the first place (15+ GB is EXCESSIVE!) I Will Cancel Service if I Don’t Get A Timely Response….Version: 7.4.1

Pretty much uselessDid not track anything correctly and the information provided tells you next to nothing about how you actually slept. Save your time and get a different app..Version: 6.2.1

Increase sleep time than reallyIts extend sleep time.Version: 6.11.9

Not AccurateIt skips many hours of sleep nightly. I’m really not sure why this has so many high star reviews 🤷🏻‍♀️.Version: 6.12.1

Everything free is fakeIf your looking for a FREE app where you can actually track your sleep schedule, this is NOT the app for you. I tracked my entire sleep overnight expecting all of the benefits it promised me in the morning and every single review was locked and you had to pay for it. I recommend finding a different app to track your sleep, no one is willing to pay a stupid amount of money for that. Don’t fall for the scam..Version: 7.5.9

InaccurateI can get out of bed and walk outside the house at 1am and in the morning apparently I’ve had an undisturbed sleep. Totally inaccurate..Version: 6.15.0

Not worth itVery inaccurate. Nights that I have tossed and turned and actually gotten up show as uninterrupted sleep. Used for a month. Not going to anymore..Version: 5.9.5

PoorSleep times are completely inaccurate.Version: 6.2.1

Confusing to UseThis app is a great idea, and comes up with some interesting data. However, I find it confusing and unintuitive to use. It lacks a obvious start and stop switch for when you go to bed then get up. As a result, I got spurious recordings eg: on one one occasion it started recording sleep while I was watching TV at 9pm, them reported a restless period between 10pm and 11:30pm while I was washing up and preparing for work the next day! On a another occasion it didn’t start recording my sleep until 3:30am (even though I had gone to bed and slept from 11pm) and reported I had had only 3 hours sleep. There is a ‘refresh’ function, but this is difficult to initiate (could be an Apple Watch issue?) and then seems to be forever ‘Updating’..Version: 3.8.4

Not freeApp literally tries to make you buy premium to listen to your sleep sounds. Don’t waste your money..Version: 7.5.12

AverageI’ve always been a Fitbit user and changing to Apple the sleep apps really don’t compare I know I wake in the night even got up to get water and this sleep app still thinks my sleep was not disrupted.Version: 6.17.5

Was goodNo idea what’s happening lately but I wake up in the week for work around 7am this app seems to think I’m still asleep until 9.15am average time I don’t know if it’s the app with the Apple Watch ultra as I last used it on a series 6 Apple Watch with a 12 months premium sub and it was great but this time not a great experience which puts me off buying it again the sleep app on Apple health shows the time I got out of bed so has to be an app issue.Version: 7.4.3

Used to be superb now is prettyUselessI’ve used this app for years but lately, following A series of apple updates it’s become so inconsistent that it’s useless. I’ve followed every bit of advice from their support but most have been useless. My app still tells me I have to update the app which I have done on countless occasions. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled all To no avail. I suspect support is all AI as it comes back with the same useless comments. I’ve been a long time fan of this product but have now cancelled my subscription and will look for something else. Incidentally I have the latest iPhone and my Apple Watch is the last but one model. Hope this helps. Look elsewhere.Version: 7.4.23

Used to be a accurateUsed to love this app but for unknown reasons and me even playing with the sensitivity settings it’s rarely accurate. Quite disappointed.Version: 5.9.5

Bad MoveJust noticed many people are annoyed with their decision to bullying us into subscribing after allowing users to use app for free. Sorry, but this was a very bad marketing stunt. You used to have good reviews and now lots of old loyal users are furious and leaving bad reviews. Let us keep using a free version with adverts but don’t just take it away like this. We could’ve had at least a warning that the Ts and Cs were going to change. Very disrespectful towards loyal users. Bad customer service and marketing..Version: 7.1.8

Fun at first but terribly inaccurateLiked this app at first and all its various measures and monitors, but after a while they became just meaningless fluff. But the one that interests me most, probably most people, is terribly unreliable and inaccurate. That is the graph that shows Sleep Pattern. Some mornings it will show I had a period or two of disrupted sleep which I have no memory of. So I think it’s doing it’s job. But then, much more commonly, it will show I’ve slept undisturbed, even tho I remember waking, and even often when I’ve pressed buttons on my watch to check the time or some other info; even when I’ve laid awake stewing about the rumble from my partner, or dog barking next for, that woke me and now kept me awake; and sometimes even when I’ve gotten up to go to the toilet it still insists I slept undisturbed!! So, I’ve decided that Sleep Pattern measure is next to useless. So, really wonder why I bother with this app anymore. 🤔.Version: 6.1.6

Not accurateA selling point for this app is supposed to be the fact you don’t have to tell it you’re going to sleep however it’s not accurate at detecting when you do. It has me as sleeping for over two hours when I was still awake, it even had me in a deep sleep! it’s not like I was laying down with my eyes shut, I was as alert as I am typing this... I have noticed since starting to use it, it was never aware of times I’ve woken in the night unless I physically get out of bed so it’s only really useful for tracking how many times you get up in a night and your heart rate. The rest is unreliable.Version: 6.14.7

Version: 6.11.3

Stop pushing premiumUPDATE: Not only the intrusive in-app notifications are getting worse, but it’s been several weeks that when syncing with my Apple Watch the app just crashes. So, the time has come for me to abandon this app. Btw, with iOS 16 and WatchOS 9 you can track your sleeping patterns for free, I’m not gonna need an extra app. The reason why I’ve started using this app years ago is because despite having a subscription plan, you could easily use the basic functions to just have quick reads of your sleeping patterns. With the latest updates there are full page intimidations to go premium, now a new main locked section just for premiums that replaces your last night sleep record. If they’re going to push premium this hard I will be using another service, there’s plenty out there. Plus Apple has its own now, it’s crappy compared to this one, but at least I’m not forced to give them money monthly. Enough with subscriptions!.Version: 7.3.0

I wake multiple times but according to this app I don’t!As a new mum I got this app to see when I’m getting sleep etc and if I need to try and catch up on some. My baby is 4 months old and sometimes I can be up, up to 4 times in the night and this involves getting up out of bed and walking to the cot, picking my baby up feeding and putting her back and when I check this app in the morning there is no record of some of these wake times, sometimes it says I am in deep sleep at these times. So because of this I don’t trust a thing or says with regards to deep sleep etc..Version: 6.11.3

App is useful but buggyOn my IPhone XR running 15.6 os the app won’t let me look at the questions ..Version: 7.0.8

Rem sleepWould be helpful it is calculated rem sleep too.Version: 4.11.2

UselessWaste of money. No go after 3 days. No response to emails. Promises so much & delivers nothing!!!!.Version: 2.2

Communication errorEvery time I try to save anything in this app it says Communication Error: your response could not be saved, please try again. It’s stuck on a screen asking how rested my sleep is and will not go away, I have even restarted my phone. The only option I can see is to delete the app, but this will delete all the data I’ve saved to date too. Ridiculous..Version: 5.9

Not very accurateI have found now after removing the app twice that it isn’t accurate in the least bit. Today for instance it says I got 9 hours 50 minutes sleep. In reality I received less then 5 and feel it too. I have changed settings, deleted the data and started over and still the same inaccurate readings. You would think with a top tier Apple Watch it would be somewhat accurate. It isn’t . I upgraded to my Apple Watch from a Fitbit charge 4 and yeah no comparison. I have wore both my Fitbit and my Apple Watch and the Fitbit blows this app and apple out of the water. This app over estimates every single night. Fitbit is not 100% accurate but it’s better then this app and apple watch less then 25% accuracy. Here I thought I was getting an upgrade when in fact I went backwards. Oh well..Version: 7.4.18

Good info, but frustratingThe app gives good sleep information, but the constant push to get me to subscribe is really annoying. Pop ups almost every time I open it, and now they have this new, truncated view of the screen that shows the sleep info, which you have to click through every time..Version: 7.5.9

Data is only as good as its accuracyI got this app because I wanted to track how well I am sleeping while taking care of a newborn (not well) and while it’s fun to look at all of this app’s data, I’ve noticed inconsistencies in the metrics that make me question the validity of what the app claims to track: 1: In the morning when I verify my sleep times, the app tries to suggest that I slept during times that I clearly did not, and was active, talking, and standing. I can delete these obviously, but it makes me wonder what the app saw during that period to think I was sleeping. 2: The disturbed/light/deep sleep tracker is wrong and doesn’t track when I get out of bed. Last night, I got up to let my dog out twice, and the app only recognized once. If you’re going to offer all of these metrics in your app, people are trusting that they’re accurate, and not just guessing at when you’re asleep, which is what it feels like this app is doing..Version: 6.1.6

Watch out! You better be awake when that alarm goes offI previously used Sleep Cycle - which I love and very much support. Since apple Made changes to WatchOS, the Apple Watch App disappeared and I was looking for an alternative: SleepWatch. Overall, the app works well, BUT (!!) it has no snooze - and after checking with the support team (which is actually quite responsive), there will also be no snooze button. Apparently snoozing is bad for you (not surprising) but if you want to (need to) wake up at 4:30am to go about your day or catch a flight - you better be awake after the single vibration alarm that you’re getting. To me, this kills the experience and my ability to rely on the app. So far I have not missed any flights (I travel frequently) but it resulted in a few stressful mornings. Verdict: add snooze or loose those who don’t set ‘normal’ 6/7am alarms. Nobody wants to snooze for 15mins, but a 2min reminder to get up should definitely be expected. I cancelled my premium subscription.Version: 6.2.0

Problems with Apple Watch series 7A week ago I would have given this app a 5 star rating. It’s the best sleep tracker I’ve found and the information and tips have actually helped me improve my sleep habits, especially when I use the premium features…and here lies the problem. I upgraded from the series 4 to the series 7 last week and now there is no way to use the advanced sleep tracking without it COMPLETELY draining the battery. I tested it by charging my watch to 100% immediately before going to bed, it was still dead before my alarm could go off. I think it probably has to do with how it works with the 7’s new “always on” watch face. This is still a pretty great sleep tracking app even without the advanced sleep tracking but it’s a bummer to have paid for premium features I really can’t use anymore. Hopefully they can figure out a way to fix the issue..Version: 6.20.9

Generally okayI find the app records my non-sleep as light sleep, no matter what my setting and most recently it records me as falling asleep within one minute, even though half hour guided meditation has played out and I’m still awake. Not very accurate in that term but is accurate if I only look at tested sleep for actual sleep..Version: 5.11

Enormous delay after pressing notificationNotification asks you how you slept, you click on it, then you have to wait 30 seconds or more for the thing to load before you can answer. Very frustrating as the notifications appear throughout the day - I do think they would be a useful element but at the moment with the delay they make it unusable. Getting into the car about to drive off - clicked on the notification to answer, have to wait a minute before I can leave. About to jump in the shower, quickly answer the notification, have to stand and wait for it to load. Want to stop the music and switch to a podcast - nope, have to wait for this app to load. Disappointing..Version: 6.13.5

Tracks time at restHave been using for about three weeks now and usually tacks times I’m watching tv sitting reading as time asleep. It lets me know part of this time is good sleep I had hoped for an honest Record of my sleep. patterns.Version: 6.0.2

A great tool, but needs more personalisation and improvementsI mainly downloaded SleepWatch because as far as I know it's the only sleep app that uses apple watch data. Its nice to have this data synced into apple health, but I find it's quite buggy and clunky to use. I'd love to have a 'lite' version of the app or a one time payment that's just basic tracking and the smart alarm watch feature. I don't care about any of the other paid features and can't justify the pricy renewing membership for stuff I don't use. It'd be nice if the dashboard could be personalised to data I care about and not have to click into everything. Otherwise, if you just want something simple and you're not into data and , this is worth a try..Version: 6.15.0

Was amazing until latest updateLoved the app use it every night to track my sleep don’t pay for the subscription as I’m only interesting in times. HOWEVER I Updated it last night and had the option to have the microphone on which I declined as I didn’t want to drain my battery yet my battery went down 44% over night! It had never done that before the update and checking my battery usage this morning showed no other apps using a significant amount of battery power overnight. If it stays like this I’ll have no choice but to delete the app I can’t have it running down that much overnight every night. It’s shocking that this wasn’t mentioned as a warning to users before updating or noticed by developers before releasing the update. Kind of a difficult thing to miss..Version: 6.20.7

Time glitchI was enjoying the app. Unfortunately it keeps adding 10:20 am to 11:30 am as sleep time, so it shows the entire time as disturbed. I set my sleep time fro 12:30 am to 8:05 am, so this shouldn’t happen. The developer failed to answer my email for support. With the glitches and lack of support, going premium would be a mistake..Version: 7.5.10

Was once 5 stars but now only 3-starsFor quite some time I have used this app and couldn’t fault it (except for maybe a couple of minor things). But most recently I’ve noticed that for intermittent days it says ‘sleep not detected’. What I’ve narrowed it down to is that this seems to occur for the days that I haven't opened the app on my phone to sync the data of each nights sleep within the same day of waking (i.e. before midnight the next night). This wasn’t the case before - I’m not sure when things changed in this regard. Sometimes I just have a busy day ahead of me and don’t get around to opening the app on my phone during the day or before going to bed the next night. Once upon a time you could open the app on a later day and it would sync previous nights’ sleep so long as it was within the last 7 day. Now seems it has to be done on same day which sometimes is just not practical. As a result, the stats may no longer be a reliable source of data over a longer term because it’s skipping many a day that supposedly sleep was not tracked. Well, sleep must’ve been tracked because I wear my watch every night, but you’ve changed the app to need us to open the phone app within a certain period of time before midnight the next night) to be able to sync data. So this app was once rated 5-stars with reasonably good data (albeit not perfect) but is now a 3-star. I’m considering not bothering with it now because the data may not be relied upon anymore!.Version: 5.4

IOS 14 update ack! Please hurry and fix the issues. Zero tracking capability since the latest update. Support: please fix! Before this loved the tracking !!!.Version: 6.11.4

Doesnt connect anymoreUsed the app for quite some time but since the last update it doesnt connect anymore to the server. Guess i have to throw it out and use exclusively Pillow..Version: 7.5.8

Broken since last Apple Watch updateThis app worked fine before since March when I bought my watch until the most recent Apple Watch update, I have tried deleting the app and reinstalling it both on my phone and watch and that doesn’t work. I heard there was a fix for it but can’t seem to find it. It says I’m sleeping when I’m not and when I am sleeping there are big gaps of it not registering that I have slept at all, I have to go in and delete all the false readings and add the actual time I went to bed and woke up and then of course there are no rested or light sleeping tracked or heart rate tracked during those times..Version: 6.12.1

Very poor at actually picking up your sleepSo disappointed with this app. I’ve worn my watch in bed three times and twice it’s only picked up part of my sleep. The first time it worked great. The second time it had me sleeping from 4am - 6am which missed the first 5 hours of my sleep. Today it’s had me sleeping 2 hours only. You can edit the times but it says there is insufficient data to give you an idea of things like quality of sleep. What a waste of time and means you’d be crazy to actually pay for the additional features through in-app purchases. A lot of work needed to make this a fully functioning sleep tracker. FitBit destroy this at the moment..Version: 6.11.9

6 month reviewGreat app at first. After a few months of use I am not entirely sure what to think about it. I know that it records me as asleep when I am wide awake and very still trying to fall asleep. This is frustrating. From a high level it’s great to get an idea of how much sleep you’re getting. From the micro perspective it’s been a fail. I have been playing video games and not shows me as asleep.Version: 6.11.6

Was great, last update ruined it.I’ve used sleep watch for over three years and love it. The data it throws out is great, the reports are insightful and it has really helped me understand my sleep patterns and ultimately get much better sleep. That was until the last update, since when I’ve almost stopped using it. I pay for premium which gives extra information about sleep stages. However that data is no longer picked up. Which makes the whole experience a little redundant. It may be because my Apple Watch is a little old but if this is the case, could I not just continue to get the old data as before rather than the whole section show no data at all? Also, there was nothing wrong with having 5 minute increments for waking in the night. If I went to the toilet in the night, five minutes was fine. Now it’s minute to minute, who the hell knows, plus it also picks up other times where apparently I’m awake for a minute. Without the insight detailed sleep watch score data this means nothing… Please can you sort this out….Version: 7.3.2

PoorThis app is not accurate at all, the fitbit is much more accurate. You would think that apple would be more advanced.Version: 6.1.6

Started off fine, then it stopped tracking my sleepThe app started off fine back in July when I first used it with an Apple Watch. It tracked my sleep very accurately. More so than the Fitbit I had which had started to die. I’ve since found in the past 4 weeks it’s stopped doing that. If I take my pain meds at 5 am (which I need to do each morning) it assumes I’ve woken up and assumes that’s the end of my sleep. Even though I always go straight back to sleep until at least 7:30 am, sometimes later. This is frustrating because it means each morning I have to add in extra data it should have tracked itself. I’ve decided to try another sleep tracking app and then may return to this app if I hear it’s improved it’s sleep tracking abilities..Version: 6.11

Bit uselessI had the free week trial to see if this was any good and wore my Apple Watch series 1 to bed every evening. It doesn’t even detect me getting up to go to the toilet. Waking up to reports of zero disrupted sleep when you have been to the toilet twice makes me think that the rest of that data is made up too. Bad data is worse that zero data. If this worked I’d have gladly paid for it but it seems a bit pointless if it can’t even detected me getting up and walking to the toilet and back..Version: 6.17.7

Not happyI deleted it because it not tracking my sleep right..Version: 6.11.6
