✓ It’s ok, but huge flawsTopps Skate is fun, but it pales in comparison to Topps Bunt. The trading system in Skate is terrible compared to Bunt (in Skate, you have no idea what others need). The odds shown in Skate to find inserts are wildly inaccurate - I just opened 27 packs in order to get one card that had 1:5 odds. Too many sets have the lowest value insert card as 1:10 odds or worse…I don’t want to open 270 packs to complete a 27 card set. Duplicate rates are awful…when you’re looking for thst last card for your set, you’ll accumulate 11 or 12 duplicates of 10 other cards. Topps Bunt really goes all out with new avatars every year (rookies, deaths, retired numbers, etc), and Bunt gives free coins for every big achievement throughout the year, whereas Skate does none of that. Topps Skate needs to connect a lot better with hockey fans, and it leaves a lot to be desired..Version: 19.0.0
✓ Battery power thirstyThis is a great app for about 15-20 mins because after that time you realise almost all your battery life has been eaten up and you need to recharge your phone again!.Version: 9.3.16
✓ First year was great, downhill sinceThe first year in 2017, this app was a lot of fun and generally seemed in order. Since then, Topps has taken away the things customers liked and added things we complained we didn’t want. Odds are also, maybe, as stated, AT BEST. I used to get lucky when opening packs on occasion, but it’s consistently taken at least the stated odds to pull anything. I prefer physical cards anyway..Version: 16.8.0

✓ Sad.After a few years of playing this, this product is definitely pay to win. You use to be able to grind and get good cards off of coins, but now you almost certainly have to spend money on diamonds. I’ve opened over 400 packs the past two months and hit a staggering 3 super rares. I’m done. Completing base sets is only fun for so long. ✓ Pay to playFrustrating when the only way to get lower card count cards is to spend actual money. Good luck trying to trade for them because people hoard them and then won’t trade unless they can rip you off. ✓ Worked once...kindaWell for starters, I tried signing up with Facebook out of the options given but it wouldn’t work. Then all seemed fine when I just continued as a guest. The app worked when I was using it the first time I was ripping packs, collecting cards, crafting better cards, even though it was super confusing what the point was and the sets(like the red, green, white, among others). Eventually I just signed up with apple to keep the collections and whatnot. Unfortunately I’m going to have to delete it from my phone since I can never get past the loading screen anymore. It gets to 40% and then gives me an error message. Not a terrible app idea especially with the card collecting interest surge since the pandemic. Needs some work to make the collections/sets more laid out and clearer. I was confused if when I crafted the card I’d lose it from the collection and overall kind of confusing so I guess me not being able to log in is a blessing in disguise since I won’t be more confused by this app and the sets/collections..Version: 16.6.0
✓ UnfortunateI enjoyed this game, and have spent more than I’m proud to admit on diamonds, and then ran into an error where the purchase ‘completed’, my money taken, but no diamonds received. I reached out to customer care, and provided all requested, but was continuously told to provide more. Not worth it. Play it safe folks, and avoid spending money on the app if you do download it. ✓ Good but could be much betterMy main gripe about this is not being able to track my VIP points. Last month I was going for the Silver VIP and thought I had enough, but I was only awarded the bronze. I’m sure I only missed it by a few bucks/points and was pretty disappointed I didn’t get the silver. Again, I wish they would let us track that so we all know where we stand in VIP points..Version: 18.1.1

✓ Pretty good, could be better - no market place?!Ive been enjoying the game for the most part, picked it up this week. Disappointed theres no rewards for completing the top 100 set, my buddy showed me the rewards for it last year - some nice signature cards. A bit expensive for in game currency and would like a better way to gain coins instead of missions and 3rd party ads Would like to see a market place, buy/sell cards for in game currencies. The costumer service isn’t that great also. ✓ Change the layoutI really like the app, but it would be so much better if it was in the layout like your other card apps. Wheel spins, crates, daily coins, etc. the fact that it won’t let you see your sets like in the other apps is disappointing. I have no idea how many cards I need to finish off sets. ✓ Fun but deceiving.I’d honestly give the app a 2.5 but that’s neither here nor there. My big grief is with the odds listed when ripping packs to find an super rare, iconic or legendary. I just ripped 200,000 coins worth of tribute packs & didn’t get a single “super rare” card. I do appreciate the layout of the app. It’s easy to find your own cards by rarity which is something panini lacks in. I do also think topps can or should add an auction house. That would give the user the opportunity to try to get the cards they want without having to trade for them while also being able to gain coins to either buy single cards in the auction house or rip more packs. Trading is a nice feature but it doesn’t show users specific value in some of the rarer cards. With an auction house, it’s easier to gauge what other users expect/hold as value to cards like 1/1 or booklets..Version: 18.4.0
✓ Topps is Pricing themselves outUsed to have fun in this app. Odds were fair to get a decent card and you didn’t feel the “need” to buy diamonds as often. You found always find a trade and usually end up with the card you wanted. I had fun interactions with others on the app who were true fans of the game of hockey and collecting. More recently Topps has made it almost impossible to keep up wit collections…laziness in cards where you see same pictures being used on different sets. Legendary upon legendary cards with awards, forcing you to buy hundreds of dollars on diamonds just to keep up, but with pack odds and actual value of cards but equal to what you get. Many long time collectors are leaving due to costs, horrible people holding cards for ransoms and fear after seeing what happened to Kick. Some folks on here spent thousands per month and no longer get the card they want. This is either a result of greed for $ or terrible direction from someone at Topps. Either way, they are going to lose more loyalty and folks will stop dumping money in the app. If that’s the goal to just make this go away, then I don’t see Topps changing..Version: 19.18.0
✓ Clunky, unresponsive interfacePlus points: -Cards are nice, graphics are nice. -Don't need to spend real money to get cards, you get free packs 'erry day Downsides: -opening boosters and swiping through new cards does not work (on my iPhone5c) - unless you first flip the card and then you only see the backs as you swipe through, which kinda ruins the experience. - 'My Cards' section is so unresponsive I thought my touch screen wasn't working. Physically cannot scroll through to look at the collection or trade from it - makes the app pointless. All other selection screens work fine, which is odd - so definitely a bug that needs fixing. - Having to look at Claude Giroux every time I open it 😂.Version: 6.3.4

✓ What the….?I have been using this app everyday for months. I follow all the rules, never have any problems. Two days ago I open the app and I am logged out. This had never happened before, but I was not worried. I try signing in and it says “this account does not exist”. I send a ticket to support and don’t receive any feedback. 24-hours of not being able to sign in or know what is happening. I missed coins, contests, and completing sets. Now I am able to sign in but I don’t have any explanation on what happened. You really screwed me with this and I deserve an explanation..Version: 18.0

✓ Update neededGood game!… but the cards really don’t have any real face value, you guys need to add a market to the game to buy and sell for diamonds, coins or even real $$$. Even if there was a reasonable percentage of the earnings that you took from each trade made. It makes you money not only that tho brings the game & cards to a real market! Not just that, but the majority of the money would be going back into buying packs and will make the game explode not only that but will bring a serious market to your game & value! kind of a no brainer really… It would give the real collectors out there a new outlook on collecting cards since everything is going digital now a days! ✓ Freeze freeze freezeI played on your app for a few weeks and had fun, but it kept freezing when I was either trying to buy a pack with gold or diamonds. And when I say freeze, I mean FREEZE! To the point where I would close the app, come back 4-5 hours later and it’s still frozen. Very aggravating! Only way it can be unfrozen is to totally reboot my iPhone. I should also point out every time it deducted whatever I was using to make the purchase and didn’t ever give me any cards. ✓ Why ask for review right after update?Why would you ask for a review right after someone updates the app? Topps always asks for a review before the customer has even experienced the update. ✓ Fine game, terrible peopleI have played this game on and off for years. The game itself is awesome and is very enjoyable. What is not enjoyable are all the other users. Never have I seen so much hate and bullying in one place. When you report it the customer service is terrible. It takes days to respond and if they actually respond they just give you the link to the rules and do nothing. I have now deleted the app since the game is a very toxic and unwelcoming community. ✓ This app is a joke.This quickly went from being one of my favorite apps, to being an annoying cash grab by Topps designed to take advantage of people with poor impulse control. Pack odds are a straight up lie, and sets are practically impossible to complete without purchasing “diamonds” using micro-transactions. Last season (23) wasn’t even remotely like this. If odds say 1:3 I shouldn’t have to rip 20 packs just to chase one uncommon card. Collectible design has been extremely stale this season compared to last year. Cards that were given out for free on a daily basis last season (Top100) are now only collectible if you pay for diamonds. There hasn’t been an “Event” all year. ✓ Update to Mystery BoxI enjoy the app and use it with my two sons. We are avid hockey card collectors. I feel like in the most recent update you have changed the pack contents for the Mystery Box. The mystery box used to periodically give a super rare card (rain crafting) and in the current version it seems like every card in the mystery box is just base variant. Liked it better the old way.
