✓ Worst MOBA everThis game is not real 5V5, basically it’s just you vs 9 robots, which is super boring. There is no active players in this game. You will realize who is robot in your team ( sometimes 4 of them plus 5 in the counter side are all robots) you can tell this by just watching their movement pattern. Tip for developer to let your robot be more like human beings(at least cheat real player better): at least make Robot learn to press ‘vote’ button. Real person will choose yes or no. ✓ Matchmaking is the WORST among All Moba GamesMatchmaking is manipulative and it is obvious and bold. When it wants you to win, you have to no matter how you feed, and when it wants you to lose, even the top professional player cannot save the match from the feeding teammates. Moreover, it not only manipulates the game through matchmaking, the system itself controls and adjusts the game data in matches such as damage, damage reduction, and most importantly, gold increasing speed. So there is often abnormal cases where you find yourself controlled by the game and no matter how hard you try you cannot beat the system. Additionally, the game uses AI players to better manipulate the game. However, I can always tell which are real players and which are AIs. The funny thing is, the AI players in your own team are always feeding, and the AI players on the other team sometimes can be much better than pros. Also, this negative manipulation is much stronger on players with high online time, and the positive manipulation is applied on players with low online time. ✓ Kinda disappointedIf I’ll be fair the game definitely looks really good and gameplay wise is awesome. But from when I last touched the game(literally almost 2 years ago), I still find that Oceana players still get bad ping. Sure the server has improved over the years but it’s not in the state that would be suitable for “competitive” play unlike mobile legends. I still get around 110 ping on wifi and it’s of course better on 4g averaging around 67 ping, but that’s still not good enough. After a while he asked if I wanted to play again and I said yeah because I hadn’t played in a while and I remembered how much fun I had playing- But when I opened the app my account was longed out of and when I tried to sign in again with my Apple account it didn’t sign me in and instead tried to make me create a whole new account. That completely ruined my whole desire to play this game again. Why is my whole account gone and why can’t I sign back in using the same Apple account I had before? Guess I’m done playing the game because I don’t feel like playing the game for months just to get back everything I had before. UPDATE: After probably 10 minutes of me trying for some reason this game transferred my account to my Facebook account instead of my Apple account even though I never signed in using Facebook and only signed in using Apple? ✓ Great game, but basically unplayable in AustraliaArena of Valor is genuinely a great game. It’s a really well done mobile moba. I enjoy playing it a lot. That said, there are no local servers. Asia is the closest, but you’ll constantly be told you can’t queue because your connection is unstable, and you’ll easily get ping of <150 constantly if you do manage to get in. ✓ Okay, I guess.The gameplay loop is alright, save for the strict meta for new characters that essentially dominate games and which are only available through Xeniel’s Codex (battlepass) and only become available to non battle pass users a couple months later. Almost any cosmetic worth having is only acquirable through gambling, there is: Liliana’s “Lucky” Draw, Liliana’s “Magical” Draw, normal “lucky” draw, limited time offers, “Great Deals” and even more bull they use to hide cosmetics behind. I absolutely understand requiring some kind of income to continue working on a game, and I’m behind that. What I can’t abide by though is trying to leech even more money out of people by forcing them to gamble to get something they want. If they would just make it to where everything cosmetic could just be purchased with vouchers directly, I would have a lot less harsh of an opinion of them. Back to the battle pass, it essentially makes the game at least partially pay to win when you don’t get access to the strongest character in the game for a couple months because you didn’t buy the pass. ✓ So much wrong with this game.I have been playing about 10 months now and I still have gripes with this game. Is it fun? Not really. The community is full of toxic players. This game is about bragging rights higher rank/league badge/beating players that aren’t as good as you etc etc. If you are In the UK be warned most of the players you will meet are Turkish and complain non stop. And when you get beaten by better players (because matchmaking is very broken) not only do you have to suffer the indignity of losing, your teammates can report you so you lose credibility points and get a warning telling you to take the game seriously. Just another kick between the legs. The only reason why I keep playing is because I have invested a lot of money on skins and heroes. ✓ Don’t bother. Another mobile farce.I uninstalled the game as soon as I finished my first match with Veera. The opponent had a veera also. The fights went as follows: who lands the auto aim cc wins. Doesn’t matter how much magic defend or AP I bought. There was no alternate outcome from either of those situations. The game has too many cop out heroes. Heroes where every skill is auto aim and wipes the floor with any skill based hero. There are no benefits to picking the hard route. Every match you play ends up 1v9. Which is typical of a moba. However it’s more of an issue here. Because of item balance issues everyone ends up having to kill everyone else twice for the kill. The servers are laggy. The heroes are unresponsive. The umpire is obnoxious and annoying. 90% of the players I meet are obviously AI bots and the menu chat itself is dead. This leads me to believe the game is dead. As expected by any release from tencent. Oh, did I mention the game is not balanced? Yes, they pump out crappy lexicon, op heroes and pay to win events but don’t balance anything. And it will have its detractors saying it is pure garbage. AOV is a beautiful and well designed game at its core. However, initially fun and interesting play is quickly overshadowed by poor matchmaking, AFK’ers, and balancing that favors control. I would jump on HOTS if I wanted 50% pure garbage matches and playing with a fidget spinner while I wait for my stunlock volley to wear off. So if you want to go hardcore/play with friends/are one of those mindless drones who have a blast 24/7 because you can ignore design issues: have fun. If you’re familiar with MOBAs/play solo-casual and don’t want the usual frustrations: stay away. AOV treats you like all games in this genre seem to. It shoves you into a lurch between repeated garbage matches (even those you win) and rare nail biters with reliable teammates/comps that reel you back in. Regardless, it merits a try if I haven’t convinced you otherwise; there are a lot of great features and F2P friendliness. NA server lack of motivation to punish map hackers, they constantly spend effort on making new skins to make money but never banned hackers which destroying the game right now. I have reached out multiple times as well as some of my friends that used to play this game to ask about the serious hacking issues as well as the win trading issues in the high tier of the game. Basically, there are at least 2 hackers every single game. Personally I am an ex-conquer player and I used to have so much passion for this game, I also showed my support for the game through a lot of transactions in the game. ✓ Over powers Markman charactersI don’t really understand why Yorn and 2 other marksman characters are really really fast and can best a whole team without a problem. Should I be cheap too? And just play Yorn? It seems your game is very unbalanced and the only thing that really made me interested is the DC characters which are good for the first game you play then all the sudden they are very weak for like 5 games. Balance your marksman characters and everything else. I’ve spent enough money and played enough of this game to see the flaws and these are major. You’ll always see Yorn in a match and I wonder why lol because he’s faster than most of the characters and his ultimate can hit you from across the map. Last thing is that your Hook game mode and the soccer one are unoccupied meaning no one plays them at all so I think you should remove those modes and make something different because doesn’t look like anyone plays them, I could wait for 10 mins and not find a game. I’ve tried other MOBA games, the difference is that after I lag or get disconnected for split sec, the game will reconnect and no problem 2-3 sec and is playable. However, players still send flaming and racist speeches not only in games but also in general announcements without being punished. I understand that it’s quite common that people may become easier to get angry while playing games, but certain speeches should be forbidden. Furthermore, the rate that I’ve met players going afk is quite high. ✓ Huge FlawThis game by no means deserves one star, however there is one crippling problem that needs to be addressed. I’ll start with the positives though: Amazing game, the mechanics are great and highly intuitive, especially if you’ve played any MOBAs before. I love the art style, and the inclusion of DC characters is a welcome change from the usual assortment you get in anything similar: would love to see more characters introduced from other things like TV shows or movies (John Wick would be great if you could get the rights!) However all that aside, there is one huge flaw in the game. The matchmaking system is disgustingly poor at balancing the skill levels of players so often you’ll have opponents of much greater skill levels, or teammates who are playing some of their first games, even after over a week of playing 5+ games every day. Highly disappointing as this seems to be something that every other similar game manages to get right. Also, a couple of smaller irritations; please fix your chat system, it censors “this is” presumably because the algorithm thinks people are trying to say “Isis”, and the filtering options on the guilds screen don’t appear to actually do anything. I just got out of a game, where two players got upset, stop to play in their positions, I was juggling had to protect their towers and for that did not grow did not evolve. In the end the same two players insulted the Team. Me, that tried to help, lost points in the game, while the players that insulted everyone, did not played in their positions and disrupted the balance of the game did not got penalized. If you are an auto attack reliant hero, then you can’t reliably target who you want. There are so many times when I wanted to jump in as Zanis and CC the enemy carry, but instead I jump the opposite way and CC a jungle monster. The controls need heavy improvement, otherwise the game is nearly unplayable. The other major issue was the lack of role enforcement. I lost so many games because I would call jungle, but someone on my team would pick Butterfly and go jungle anyway. You need a system that allows people to queue for a specific role, so that you don’t end up with 2 people fighting over a role mid game. The last thing that killed this game for me was the DC character sellout. I understand Tencent has rights to the characters, but part of the fun of MOBA is all the unique characters to play. ✓ Game is good, players make it......The game dynamics are good, plentiful heroes, every week you get different heroes to try out. The game itself is pretty great, the problem is the other players. The game runs a point system, if your reported or afk you lose points which lose you bonuses to your game. The problem begins if you don’t pick one of the dozen great heroes, you lack the ability to play competently. Which in turn means you need team components that more often than not don’t exist with these players. So if you play a tank, more often than not you’ll get no support for DPS or god forbid healing. If your a Squishy mage or Assassin, you’ll more often than not get killed far too easily with no team mate back up. When you die too often from lack of team, because you don’t have one of these “best characters” your so called team can report you, which knocks down YOUR score. The other heroes cost way too much in game currency and if you want the “best characters” your best bet is to buy it with premium currency. I’ve quit and tried to replay this game 3 different times now. You won’t get a connection warning until after you already enter a match, in which it tries but will fail to reconnect you. And after it says you can’t get reconnected you get penalized for it as going afk. When penalized it takes down your credibility score, and if your score goes below 90, you cannot play ranked. So not only is this game bad when it comes to servers (I have crazy wifi, 20 ping when playing Xbox, but 140 when playing a match here) the characters are super unbalanced. And there is an abundance of crowd control in this game with minimal was to counter it. And none of those ways are even effective at that. ✓ This MOBA Can Use So Much Work.First things first, the servers don’t ever let you understand what good ping is. 200 ms becomes normal and it’s sad because my WiFi is new at that. Most of Tencent’s priorities are money and skins as their other games also demonstrate. The gameplay is the best part yet it isn’t even fun. My main issue here is the heroes. Marksman that have harass are just the pinnacle of broken. They are supposed to scale late game and be weak early. Why are marksman good in every stage of the game? They have an early game that depends on the player and late game or mid game makes you wonder why you installed the game to begin with. Not only that, but he has a stun. So, when you face off a good Valhein, he can just easily win in lane. Of course, there are multiple other champs that are way too over powered. But it would take too long to talk about all of them. Then, there’s the ranked system. It’s easy to rise up in ranks if you’re experienced, but when you reach your limit, it’s more about your how good your team is, rather than personal skill. The game play is great with lovely graphics, the majority of the community is not as bad as other games, and they have new heroes and skins constantly in the works. But the recent report system is the worst. The game now mutes and punishes people based off of the computer thinks they said something wrong, instead of have the community or team decide. The computer reports a bunch of random words and phrases and you don’t know what they are until you are muted. So far words like “sacrifice” or “this is” will get you muted for 15minutes. And using the words “weird” or “bread” in general will get you banned for 24 hours the first time and 3 days the second time. So for three days you can’t talk to the community, your guild, or your team in any way in game and in the lobby. U can only dm your friends if you are at the starting lobby/menu. There is no way to “appeal” this process either. There is a tab in the customer service link which basically says “you did something to be muted. There’s no delete account button, which is said to be there by the non existent customer support. (Probably also automated) When I tried to report bugs I have video evidence of, it asks me to ‘upload a screen shot or video’ yet only allows for photo upload, not video! And just recently I’m not seeing any floating numbers for in game damage and healing. Again, trying to show this in the “report bug” system is impossible as you can’t upload videos! ✓ Your matchmaking is crying for an update!!!After playing the game for about 2 years, I have come to the conclusion that matchmaking is getting worse. After certain win strike you get matched with low tier players and specifically from certain areas which feels like it stuck into an area an play almost with the same players again and again. However after certain loses in a row, 6-7 to seven my case, the game decides to favourite you by playing against low tiers and win with a tremendous score difference. Also the report system is weak because it never verify the game events took place, for instance playing in dragon lane and request for back up for quite a while no one shows up and then get attacked by almost the whole team and get reported for feeding when clearly had no help. Please get shorted the matchmaking and point system you because the game is crying for help and players get frustrated, at least the free players. We understand that there is a paid version just don’t make it so guided and obvious that is a play to win game like the majority out there. P.S.: Before it happens I am pretty sure that if you reply, it will be an automated response and probably will not do any changes as it’s works for you and paid version of the game. ✓ Useless supportSo I started playing the game, ran into an issue that caused me to lose multiple rewards that if not for the issue I would've got and would highly affect my gameplay. Obviously these stuff also available to purchase for real money. So obviously after reposting the support staff just recommended for me to buy them even though they agreed that the issue - that is purely the developers fault, not mine - is what caused me to lose out! I didn't want to leave it at this cause Ive already spent money on the game and I found it absolutely rubbish that the support just doesn't give a single duck about you, just that you spend your money! So I submitted and Official Conplaint to which they responded to after 5 bloody months!!!! Like what the hell?!? ✓ Great ideaThe game is decent BUT, the random lag spikes and DC’s are annoying especially considering my ISP is very good. Class balance is awful, they release a new hero if it’s a coded hero that you have to pay for almost like early access it’s op, also some hero’s are straight up useless and get unwarranted nerfs. If you have 5 people to que with the game will be better, otherwise your subjected the rather toxic community, people will play what they want, ignoring what roles are actually needed, if you use a hero they want they will either feed the enemy kills or go afk and leave you 5v4 all game. The abuse and racism in chat is totally unacceptable. There is zero match making in standard games so if you que up solo you will possibly be against a team of 5 using voice comms giving you zero chance, this also gets abused in ranked with high rank players on alternate accounts deciding to farm low rank players. All in all the odd occasion you don’t get a team of toxic players who afk or feed the game can be fun, but those are 1 game in 10, which is a shame as the basis of a great game is here. ✓ Great game, awful penalties.I actually love this game, but the penalty system is grossly unfair. If you’re not playing up to your co-players expectations, you’re hosed. I was earning MVP reliably every two to three games, then got promoted. I’m not playing any different to before, but suddenly I’m getting the “please take every game seriously” every third game! :-( By the time you struggle through this and start being competitive again, then you get promoted and the whole thing repeats. I’ve been advised by two people the way around this is to not actually try to win, but instead aim to lose with a good kill ratio until you get into the top band. I’ve tried this, and it seems to be working so far but really seems just plain wrong and takes all the fun out of it..Kalrissa_RVersion: 1.34.1.10

✓ Nice Update, but bugs are insane.I’m saying this since I love this game and wish it longevity but the game has been buggy after the new update. Death match I found not too fun but somewhat tolerable. But, the main reason I feel negative is that when I played a 5v5 game for a second time I was immediately kicked out. This resulted in me not being able to play. I tried to go back but it kept crashing. So I had to restart my phone and boot up arena of valor. Then I had to wait an excruciating 2 minutes for the game to load. Then when I played people had started to ask me why I left. And I couldn’t tell them due to me being under 16 (which I don’t know why you would stop people under 16 to talk.) Because of this I lost the gold I should’ve gotten. And I lost points. I’m now slightly scared when I play that I’ll be kicked off the game. Please make sure this gets fixed. Thank you for listening to my rant if you guys read this. ✓ Very fun but needs a lot of balanceI’m very fond of mobas and I’ve played them for about 8-10 years and I’ve recently started to play this game, while playing I noticed that the higher cost players clearly have a lot more power and mobility then Lower class players SPecifically the super Hero characters are beyond broken. I understand that some characters are supposed to have strengths but some of them have 0 weaknesses besides CC. Before releasing any character there should atleast be 3-4 characters the counter him fairly well, but players such as flash running in and doing massive dig with using a ability that you can’t target him is way beyond. Especially when if you put him ability to ability to most mages he significantly out damages them with the same build. If your willing to spend atleast 20$ on the game I’d say buy it go nuts, but if not I wouldn’t waste your time. Go to a moba with more balanced corrections. Just because the game has time with it doesn’t make it balanced. For instance I was a HEAVY smite player reaching top 10 in the world for a couple of years and was the game balanced ? Definitely not. Although each god did have a counter pick to them to even the playing field in some ways. CC chains should not be the only way to shut down someone, period..Moderate phone player(:Version: 1.24.1
