I tried to verify my age and its just a pdf document, I downloaded it from them and it was still the same thing I couldn't type on it to sign. ✓ Release issues.Amuse is an ok distribution app for your music starting off but there are WAYY too many people having issues with their releases for me to recommend this app to anyone. I am using it right now. I just dropped a song through amuse but it wasn’t distributed to all the stores that amuse is SUPPOSED to distribute to. Im using “amuse boost” by the way…yeah I paid for a subscription yet they aren’t delivering on what I paid for. I WILL NOT recommend anyone to use this or spend money on this app UNLESS they fix this issue. There also seems to be issues with their support team. ✓ So annoyingI have literally only just downloaded the app and it’s causing problems. I accidentally put in my artist name when it was actually asking for my real first and last name. I only realised this one a couple of slides later it asked for my artist name. Once I realised I made this mistake, I wanted to go back and change my first and last name to my actual first and last name. That was all fine and I was able to get that changed, but when I wanted to go back to put in my artist name it said “ too many requests”. And now I literally cannot try and sign in. I made a mistake and just wanted to change my name. And now I can’t login because of too many requests. I only tried to log in once! I don’t understand how that’s too many requests. It’s honestly infuriating as I just want to sign in and it’s literally not allowing me to do so, and I only requested once how is that too many requests.Version: 4.0.6

✓ Needs major improvementA good app to start out, free to distribute, but the downsides outweigh the positives. usually takes 3 weeks minimum for your song to hit platforms. experienced problems with my songs not hitting all platforms when they finally released. support team took over a month to finally respond to me and fix the problem, even though i contacted them 3 times. the biggest issue is the cover art situation. many times i attempted to release a project and a week later was told that it couldn’t be released because my cover art was “blurry” even when i selected “cover art is blurry but it’s supposed to be” . when this happens your 3 weeks until release completely restarts. if these problems are fixed than this could be an extremely beneficial app for up and coming artists, but until then, i will gladly pay a website such as Landr $6 a month to have my music perfectly released as soon as 1-3 days of submission..Version: 2.6.5
✓ StressfulIt’s already an uphill being an artist, coming up with creative melodies and lyrics to touch peoples hearts. the easiest part should be sending the music out, after all the money has been spent on promotion, marketing, studio time, copyrights but with a distributor like Amuse, it’s not the team is slow, the app seems to crash often, the website seems stuck, slow responses, customer service via email only. Lyrics upload is difficult, I can’t even chose my genre without an uproar Records is being held out and delayed due to the slow process. ✓ UnreliableThe insights/analytics page (where it shows stream count, etc.) goes offline for weeks at a time. Sometimes album submission confirmations show up as “confirmed” on the ap and “denied” on email simultaneously. And if you’re on the free plan, customer support takes about a month. ✓ Amuse used to be great, before they changed thingsAmuse used to be a great alternative for me, already having to pay to release elsewhere. However, they now charge more than most other distribution companies and with a fraction of the features. Almost everything you had the option to do for free, now costs, including being able to freely change the record label of your release as you wish. You may as well just pay to release your music elsewhere, whether it be Distrokid, Symphonic, CDBaby, Tunecore whatever. When I pay for Symphonic I at least have an option to add the lyrics to each of my songs so it shows up in Apple Music..Version: 3.6.5
✓ Garbage serviceThe service team (or whoever’s handling accounts as well as whoever’s handling emails), are completely naive and disrespectful. i haven’t been able to take even ONE TRACK down, because despite how much ive tried to email/contact amuse, it takes days for one response, and i have yet to get anywhere in terms of progress on deleting the track. the customer support is completely awful, anyone i’ve tried contacting @ the amuse cs email has been so rude or unhelpful, it would’ve been less stress just to have not contacted them. i am truly amazed at how long it takes to get anything done with amuse, and how poor their service is..Version: 3.5.5
✓ Great to use for distribution, not for statistics.So it was really easy to use the app to get my music streamed on all the major platforms, but there is a lag and inconsistency in the statistical information (how many downloads, streams, and the financials). Thus far, it seems like the app only provides data based on iTunes streams, but doesn't give streaming, download, or financial information from any other platform. For instance, 15 of my coworkers downloaded the song via iTunes or Google Play Music, and my stats still show “0 Downloads”. I also use a separate app to keep track of my google play streams. I’m well into the thousands, but stats from amuse show only a couple hundred ITunes streams..Version: 1.9

I upload all my songs and it’s asked for a email to verify, I give them my email to verify and it takes like 16 hours to get my email. Then a week later while I’m waiting for my songs to be approved it’s says they did not approve a CLEAN album no curse words nothing! They say to check my email to see why and I’ve been waiting for 10+ hours just to know why MY SONG, TOTALLY CLEAN is not being approved. ✓ Account frozen and due to be terminatedSo, I have been trying to understand what I need to do for my debut song to be released. I have put others out and I have been told there is a sampling license that they want me to have for frank Sinatra’s fly me to the moon. I do not have any way to get this and I am unsure as to why I would need it, the beat itself sounds slightly similar, the vocal sample has been changed at the start to sound different. Though now my current releases and account are due to be taken down, as a new artist who is independent, I would’ve appreciated a bit more guidance as to what the issue is as this is completely unclear as to why the song can’t come out here, doesn’t get any copyright strikes else but amuse won’t put it out. ✓ Finally found a proper way to release music on streaming platforms, just two problems.Im glad I’ve finally managed to release music on multiple streaming platforms. However I’m writing this review because of the earnings part. When I try to verify my phone number, nothing happens. I go back to setup my wallet, but problem is even after I try to verify my phone number it says I have to go back to account settings and verify my phone number even though that’s what I already did. Second problem is when I try going on the website to report the problem, it freezes me as I’m typing the subject and description of the issue I’m trying to report..Version: 4.2.0
✓ Too many requirements for pictureI really came into this with an open mind, but at the end of the day my cover art was rejected twice. First time was because it was “pixelated” which I could understand. So i fixed the picture, put the title of the song in japanese (because it looked cool) my artist name and then added a “parental advisory” sticker on the corner of the art. It was then rejected a second time because there was “ text unrelated to the release and/or because it didnt match the title of the song exactly”. ✓ Songs keep getting denied for no real reason.I have the free version of this app. It worked for a while, I was able to upload a lot of music for a while. Then, all of a sudden out of the blue 3 of my releases got denied in a row because “there was sampling”. I had NO samples whatsoever in those songs. I tried re submitting one of the projects that got denied twice and the third time it finally got cleared. Did everything exactly the same as the first 2 times. Not only that, it’s been about 2 months since, now my amuse app wont even open. I click on it and it just takes me to a blank grey screen now and I don’t want to delete and redownload it if I don’t have to. ✓ GREAT UNTIL HYPERWALLETI am an artist that has been using amuse for some time (I would say about 2+ years) and I NEVER had a problem with getting my money out. But then came hyperwallet that has prevented me from pulling my money for the past 4+ months. For the very first time I logged into the hyperwallet portal the email told me I have to make an account. I go to the website and there is NO register button. So I use my email and my password that I use for amuse. That did not work AT ALL and it got to the point where they suspended my account and I’ve never even logged in once. The customer service number is just to some card company and I feel as if they will not help me one bit. Everything was fine until they added hyperwallet and made things so difficult . ✓ Strict Cover ArtI don’t like the fact that they have strict cover art regulations, as an artist your cover art is apart of your creativity & they need to fix that because if your cover art doesn’t get approved then your 21 day release starts all over, it’s extremely frustrating. They lost me because of that I submitted my cover art 3 times and still won’t get approved & then when you ask them to help you understand what needs to be done so you can get approved they won’t do help, that’s why I switched over to Distro Kid, I got my cover art & release approved in no time ! They haven’t replied to my emails in like 10 days. They still haven’t fixed another major issue to do with Instagram and my songs. I have been using this service for about 2 years and it’s pretty disappointing that their verification codes never work, while the support team takes as long as they want. ✓ Very displeasedI have been using Amuse since 2020 and I can say this app is great for musicians that are just getting started, but when it comes to continued use, they are terrible. You have to jump through several hoops just to upload music, and 9 times out of 10 they will send back your files. I’m currently trying to release an album and after EIGHT attempts they still will not except my files for what seems like a new reason every time. The upload process has taken several hours and my release date has been pushed back several times because of them. My fans are unhappy and SO AM I. Here I am trying to submit my new album and the artwork got rejected multiple times (although it fits the criteria) and now the release was flat out rejected leaving me to take it down entirely. I’ve tried reaching out to them but their website is barely functional. Def wouldn’t recommend and looking for other options. ✓ Incompetent company. Do not use amuse.I was a pro user, my subscription of $60 was renewed less that a month ago (march). In April I sent a single for review, a couple of days later I go to the app to see if it was approved and I see a message saying “not approved l, check you email”. I then checked my email and there were no emails from amuse. I reached to customer support, and the answer was that my account had been frozen and my releases taken down because they detected fraudulent streaming activity. I don’t understand how is it possible that an account that was more that two years old and with less that a 1000 streams in that period of time is accused of fraudulent streaming activity. I don’t get it, but they closed my account and of course, no money back. They took the $60 for a full year subscription less than a month after I paid for it. ✓ Disappointed in the Direction of this ServiceI am a producer for a studio that I own and operate. I have sent dozens of my artists to Amuse over the course of the last two years. The only recognition that my studio gets, was when artists would fill in my studio name under the label. Just recently this became a paid only feature. How do I justify sending my clients to Amuse when it means my studio get no credit? Mix and production credit is not enough. Label should not be a paid “feature”, especially when it’s been free for several years. Amuse free is being stripped to the bone and all we can do is sit and watch as corporate ruins one of the best things that’s come by for musicians in years. It’s shameful..Version: 3.3.1
✓ Don’t Use This App! use the website instead.Twice when I’ve had issues I’ve been told by support that I should use the website instead of the app. The website has better data reporting than the app. Also, the app has trouble uploading songs. When that happens you have to start over via the web - so you may as well begin on the website anyway. Amuse’s distribution setup seems fine, just don’t use the app. For the boilerplate developer response - I have contacted support for these issues and each time I was urged to ‘use the website’..Version: 4.1.4
