Monoprice Whole Home Audio for Positive User Reviews
✓ Great AppThis app is great. Works well on iPhone and iPad devices. Family uses it almost daily. I’ve used it with an intact Flex and then when that died the Monoprice adapter which is listed in the app description(though the Monoprice adapter itself was a chore to setup, but not because of this app). Highly recommend if you have the Monoprice audio amp. I have two amps setup for a total of 12 zones and this app controls both very well..Version: 1.8
✓ Awesome with monoprice 6 zone home audioThis works great! Very responsive to commands, no time to load. I have two amps together, and it gives you what the monoprice amps give you; 12 zones and 6 sources. Thanks for this app!.Version: 1.2
✓ Get the right parts!I wanted to write this review just to let folks know that this app 100% works but make sure that you get the right parts. I got an off brand RS232 serial cable and that made this not work at first. Make sure you get the right parts. This is a great app that does exactly what you want it to!.Version: 1.4
✓ Perfect compliment to the Monoprice multizone audio. This app is a perfect compliment to the Monoprice 6x4 and 6x6 multi-zone home audio system. Being able to control all of the zones without having to go to a controller makes the system exponential more user friendly. Well worth the price! My only thought/request for a future update would be the ability to group or select more than one zone so that you can change apply a change across multiple zones without having to go to each one individually (specifically changing the source). Otherwise an awesome app!.Version: 1.1
✓ Great App for Controlling Monoprice 6 Zone Home Audio Multizone Controller and AmplifierI purchased a Global Cache iTach Flex IP and a Flex Link serial RS232 cable to connect the Monoprice controller to my home network. I used the iHelp software from Global Cache to locate the IP address of the iTach Flex IP. Once I had the IP address, setting up the Audio Control app was simple. I now have full control of zone volumes and audio inputs from multiple phones! Thanks!.Version: 1.2
✓ No frills, it just works! I wish there was a Watch version. We’ve been using this for 5+ years now and once you set up the hardware properly, it just works. I just wish they made a version for the Apple Watch! :-).Version: 1.8
✓ Perfect app for Monoprice controllerThis app flawlessly controls the Monoprice multizone controller. I have two of the controllers together and this app allows me to control all zones. Unfortunately, it does not allow me to leverage all of the sources of the 2nd controller as the app only allows you to define 6 zones which is why I give 4 stars. If you only have 1 controller, this is definitely a 5 Star app..Version: 1.2
✓ Update from 4 years ago. Still going strong.I’m now running an iPhone 12. I moved my amps, changed my network configuration and was delighted to see the app ran on first attempt. I contacted the developer a year ago when I had hit a snag. That snag was likely network related. But I got amazing support and suggestions. Try getting that from the large companies! Thank you for building and maintaining this great app. It is the making of the Monoprice amps..Version: 1.7
✓ A Must Have App For Monoprice 6 Zone AmpI love this app! It is simple to use and is quick to load. I didn’t even install the keypads. I use this app to control everything and have never wished once that I had keypads. Saved a lot of wiring and install cost. Thanks for the great app and updates when needed!.Version: 1.5
✓ New Zone group support is amazing!Works excellent.Version: 1.5
✓ Love this appThis app is super simple and intuitive. It makes the Monoprice 6-zone amp much more functional. One suggestion - it would be perfect if the group function included a source selection so you don’t have to change each zone independently. Otherwise it’s amazing..Version: 1.6
✓ Does what it saysAV Pro here, this is solid for what it is. Works well. Deployed in my home and a few lower end clients..Version: 1.4
✓ Perfect app for the monoprice 6 zone ampThis app simply works and works well. The only thing missing is support for grouping zones. This is the perfect solution for when I don’t want to get up and go to the keypad. Well done and beautifully designed app. 5 stars in my book and well worth the money..Version: 1.2
✓ Works GreatI’ve had the Monoprice 6 zone system for over two years and have been enjoying it. Actually....I love the amp. Just decided to try and add app support, app works great. No lags, it just plain works. I do have one question however, I have two of these amps and they are not linked via the flat cable. They are being used as two separate 6 zones, one system upstairs and another downstairs. I don’t see anywhere in the app to add a second amp. What’s the fix for this? Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars..Version: 1.4
✓ App Version 1.8 Broke controlUpdate 12/6: the developer reached out via email and assisted in troubleshooting, got everything back online up and running. Overall app works very well for what I need it for. App has always been pretty spotty as far as connecting, but it worked often enough to turn zones on/off/control volume when needed. Since the update to 1.8, I haven’t been able to connect at all, error unable to connect to server. Rebooted everything multiple times, tried changing ip’s, double checked all ports, deleted and redownloaded the app, and nothing! Can’t find a way to reach any tech support, please roll back the app or release a new version that fixes this asap! Need some music in my life..Version: 1.8
✓ Works wellSo far so good, changes made on actual keypads do not reflect on the iPad app, am I missing something?.Version: 1.4
✓ Works great suggested improvementThis app works flawlessly, a suggestion for improvement would be to add Siri Shortcuts or customs scenes options so one touch could set speakers, volumes, and source..Version: 1.4
✓ 1.8 version and OS 16.2App appears to broken with 16.2. Hopefully the developer will address this. I would pay for this app to work correctly..Version: 1.8
✓ Great appLoving controlling my monoprice 6-zone amp via my phone. Setup was straightforward. Interface is clean and intuitive. A few suggestions to make it better. These would improve the app to me - it’s already a great app - just buy it! 1) when using groups allow changing of the source for all zones in the group window; 2) ability to have a master volume control for groups (so if using speakers for some zones and amps for other zones the levels can remain relative vs adjusting separately); 3) ability to change the order of the zones/groups on the display; 4) change all zones to the same source vs separately; 5) browser interface (or Mac/windows app) to control the amp in the same manner as the app. Love my setup and streaming music throughout the house controlling exclusively with this app..Version: 1.7
✓ HelpI have connected the ITach and have a connection and can confirgure the IP address but am getting an connection error message on the app. Global Cache advised their product appears to be working properly. Need assistance. Thank you!.Version: 1.4
✓ Works Great! Not sure why others are having issues. Works great for me..Version: 1.8
✓ Excellent! This app is amazing. Simple to use and great interface. Well worth the price..Version: 1.2
✓ Does what it’s supposed to. Missing a couple featuresFirst and foremost, if you have the device this app works with you need it. You don’t even need the wall controls. there are a couple of points that need to be fixed: First, there is no way to move a configuration between users other than typing it into each device. This makes setup and Management a pain. Half star off. Second, there should be a feature to lock out an input from being available on a particular output. Imagine a surround sound stereo is along side this as the sound system for the living room. You may want to have a football party and play the game throughout the house, so an input is needed. You may want to be able to send the same music as the rest of the house is playing into that room, so an output is needed. However that input and that output running at the same time would be a feedback loop that would be horrible for all devices in question, so it would make sense to be able to lock out that input from ever being selected on that output. Another half star off..Version: 1.4
