Misguided 5 star ratingsDriving for Postmates is pretty good. I make decent money, although admittedly it’s due to good tips, not Postmates pay. But the app is garbage. We’re here to rate the app, not the whole delivery experience. No one who has used this app can honestly give it 5 stars. I’ll give one perfect example from yesterday, but this is not a lone case. I actually had three large issues yesterday alone. So I’m sent to a restaurant to pick up an order. I’m then sent to a second restaurant for an “order and pay”. They tell me I’ll have a 20 minute wait. I have hot food in the car. I can’t wait 20 minutes. We’ll order 1 is going to an apartment less than a mile away. Obviously, I should deliver order 1 now, and come back for order 2. The app won’t allow this. It doesn’t give me an option to do so and doesn’t tell me order 1’s actual address. So I decided to cancel order 2 as not to wait. However, the app cancels both orders. Now I have food and no where to take it. So I contact support. I tell the app to make the call and as with every other time I’ve attempted, I’m told my “call can’t be completed as dialed”. Well good news, the app has a text chat option for support. So I choose this option and I’m informed there is a 59 minute wait for a live support person. COMPLETE GARBAGE APP! I did get free pizza though :).Version: 5.32.5

I like it but I don’t at the same timeI just started this app couple of weeks ago and it’s pretty good I like the Walmart orders better because you get more money. The thing I don’t like about this app is when you go to the areas that are red ( high volume areas ) where people are supposably ordering like crazy. You get there and it take anywhere between 20min to almost an hour to get something and the food you only get 2.00 and when you get tipped it doesn’t come in at the same time as when you delivered it. How are people suppose to do this and have it help with some kind of bill if you only get like 3 food orders and you only get like 8 bucks? And you it’s rare to get Walmart orders cause everyone is out fighting for the same thing. And sometime the app doesn’t work you have to reload it and hope to the gods it works or sometimes the card doesn’t work for whatever reason....this needs to be fixed ASAP! Because it isn’t fair that when you go to those high volume areas where people are order and you don’t get anything I was out there the other day in those high volume areas and I was fro around for two hours wasting gas and I still didn’t get anything this seriously needs to be fixed.Version: 5.32.7

Refuses to pay drivers or respond to requests for supportI am a fleet driver and I’m having to track every delivery because every day 1-2 deliveries do not post to my account which means no earnings. I have to send emails, wait for over an hour on hold and rarely get connected on the phone or get email response. Additionally, their system was hacked on January second and my earnings were drained onto a debit card that was not mine. I held on the phone for over an hour to get a live person who assured me “you will be paid immediately” and yet nothing. I have sent ten follow ups, held for over three hours on the phone and no response and no pay. This should concern everyone because Postmates has credit card information for customers and all of the drivers personal information. I am disgusted by the lack of concern for the drivers and the blatant refusal to respond to support requests for missing earnings. We make less than minimum wage as it is and put wear and tear on our vehicles and there is an expectation that we will be paid as well as an expectation of security in the app to protect our accounts and personal information. I understand now why multiple states are bringing class action lawsuits.Version: 5.33.0

Never got paidI delivered and made some decent tips but I wasn’t able to receive any of my earnings. Every single time I tried to verify my identity to set up my banking/card info, it would say that I needed to verify with the text it sent to my phone number. Problem was that I never got any text. My phone works just fine and my number is correct on my account, but there’s nowhere to change the phone number or any contact info button like it says there is on the app on the support page. I think my fleet app must still have issues even after the update cuz mine looks different than my moms (who also delivers and has gotten paid). It’s been weeks now and I just stopped delivering and wasting my time and gas. My car is starting to get issues now and there’s no way I can pay for it. I’ve tried calling and emailed support, but I haven’t got in contact with an actual person. It just says that so and so is writing my answer and when I click on “view answer” it takes me to the help page. Like seriously? Terrible support, not worth the wear and tear of your car, overall not happy with my experience whatsoever. I just want my money for the work I did..Version: 5.26.1

Bluff promosThere aren’t enough orders to get you through the promos. I have been online for 3 hours now and no order. Average pay per order is $4 irrespective of the distance to the restaurant, then to the customer and then either wait for one more hour for next delivery or drive 10miles. I have been trying to complete my 140 deliveries but don’t get enough delivery even after reporting it several times and trying all hot spots and expert driver suggestions. You rip off your own driver - the main source of income for this company. Some people are trying to make out a living out of this job, don’t be so inhuman and think about your fellow drivers. We drive all day long with lot of risks and headaches and still don’t get paid the fair amount. The CEO should be ashamed of himself. If there are more drivers than deliveries then invest in getting more restaurant business instead of ripping of your drivers. Check my active status for today and this entire month and last month you will know what I am talking about!! Drivers please use grub hub or doordash atleast they show you the pay. Here they keep a secret because if they show the pay per delivery before you accept it then you will $3.64 is not worth traveling 10+miles.Version: 5.32.7

NOT WORTH ITI have been using the app since January just for some sort of extra cash . I was sadly disappointed w it , first the app doesn’t even have a support line . They rather you speak w someone via chat (which you have to wait about 20 minutes for a representative to even join the chat) . I could do 6 delivery & literally get less than $20 . They basically pay you like $4-5 dollar for your trips (w/o tips) . Most times I have a problem where I get to the pickup spot & the business has shut down , now I’m stuck here waiting for a response from their support them PLUS on top off that , you do not get paid for cancellations. Many times I have been in this situation & I have not gotten paid for the trip I have taken even though the order can not be placed . I say this all to say it is not worth it , you could make so much more money doing something else besides wasting your gas & time . It was not be appreciated w this company . I also have screenshots of my chat w a representative where she basically kicked me out the chat when I asked her about receiving my earnings ..Version: 5.30.0

Very poor live support for issues with ordersSo here’s the thing, for many of your orders, you’ve got to take a picture of an itemized receipt. That’s perfectly logical, but on one particular order, the merchant couldn’t produce a receipt. THERE IS NO WAY TO COMPLETE AN ORDER WITHOUT A PICTURE, and there’s also no option in the live support settings for such an instance. This is far from the only issue that I’ve had with the app. Also, sometimes a customer will insist that you call or text them to summon them to the lobby of their building (or whatever) but because Fleet (wisely) reroutes your calls and texts through another number, whenever I try to call the customer, it says, “please dial the extension” what extension? And whenever you try to text them it says “message not delivered” so then you’re just sitting at the persons address, waiting for them to notice that you’ve arrived, and then they berate you for not calling, but you did! And there’s no place to report that issue either! So I’m writing a review to let everyone know how terrible fleet’s live support is, they should really have a number so I can call and berate them like customers have berated me over flaws beyond my control. It’s an overwhelming positive experience (note the sarcasm).Version: 5.19.2

Ultimately terrible as a 3-year courierYes you can make money but they have all of the control unfairly. The entire premise behind making money with them is based on completing the number of deliveries that they decide. This removes your ability to be independent. They do not care about providing any kind of courier support. They do not care about your health and will do everything to make you accept alcohol deliveries that require customer contact even when you request not to do them multiple times. They will do tricks like send you orders with the bottle in the bag from a sushi restaurant so you thought you accepted a simple food delivery. They will start lowering your bonus incentives if you achieve them too much. They manipulate the entire system to seem like it’s working for you one day and against you the next. Terrible driving experience if you are trying to achieve the bonus because you’re constantly worrying about whether you will be sent enough deliveries unlike Doordash that pays you fairly and you decide how long you work each day. With post mates, to make all the money you should, you have to do the number of deliveries required for the bonus which becomes doing what they say which means you’re not independent. They should continue to be sued by more and more couriers..Version: 5.32.7

Avoid Ubereats & PostmatesAttention please! to all wise people that check for honest reviews before applying for a company. Do not work for Ubereats. Some drivers say that the tip system is flawed. Also the app has a failed photo verification system. Every now and then it asks you to verify your account by taking a selfie 🤳, however sometimes the system will not recognise you and you will be locked out of your account for 24 hours. It’s a waste of time and effort. The most annoying part is if the system didn’t recognise you once and you try again in 24 hours the system may not recognise you again so you’ll be locked out again for another 24 hours. To be honest because time & energy is our most valuable asset as people, Let me help save a whole lot of time by telling you Don’t waste your time with this stupid company drive for Doordash and Grubhub instead. Trust me it’s too many cons then pros about this failed company. Do not drive for Postmates either. When entering in your bank info for direct deposit it’s ok, but when you want to add your debit card for instant cash out Postmates do not support certain cards (Example: Discover Debit Cards are 1 out of many not supported). Again now we have 2 failed companies Ubereats & Postmates. You want to know what’s really funny? Ubereats just bought out Postmates 🤦🏾‍♂️. So now Ubereats own Postmates it’s funny because both companies are trash..Version: 5.29.0

I cant stress this enough, terrible app, dont waste your timeVery few orders, and when you finally do get an order, very little pay. Sometimes the app will add more deliveries to my route but them cancels them within the minute. If I get an order and the restaurant is closed, there is no pay even though I have to drive there and waste my time. Tips can take forever to show up, if you even get them. For most orders, I have to show up at the restaurant and order them myself instead of the app doing it, making me wait at least 15-20 minutes. On the bright side, i get 7 cents a minute that i wait, which adds up to almost nothing. I can make $80 a night with doordash, but with postmates i struggle to make $80 a week. There is nothing positive about postmates except that you will get some money. It takes a long time and it is not nearly enough money for the effort, but it’s something. If you have a choice between any type of delivery service or job, put postmates as last, you won’t regret it. It could be a good app if there was any type of customer service or work put into it but unfortunately, its just bad..Version: 5.23.7

PostmatesI like postmates myself but the only thing I don’t agree with is the pay. Sometimes it’s ok but most of the time it’s not. I can make a pick up and go across town for the drop off and make only 2-3 dollars when the meal was about $30. I have gas and other things to look out for. But a app like instacart you can make $20 after one drop off but they’re time consuming. I would be more motivated doing postmates if they paid more than what they’re giving. We can’t always rely on tips because everyone don’t tip. Give me at least 5-8 dollars and I would be more content with that. Especially for the long rides. I’m burning gas and putting miles on my car for just 2-3 dollars a trip. Some of us are unemployed or in between jobs etc. I live in north county of St. Louis and had to travel to south city and made only $3 for that the other day that drew the line for me. So I burned about 20 miles of gas for $3. And that is a 30 min drive from where I’m located. Come on postmates you can’t do me like that. And using the prepaid card can be time consuming also for little pay..Version: 5.33.1

Super Disappointing 👎🏼I used to love doing this app, but as more problems came to the surface I have been starting to dislike it more and more. First off, customer service is completely terrible. When I first needed an issue addressed. all I could see how to contact postmates was through email. I hate emailing and it took me MONTHS to find the actual customer service number. Then my next problem which just recently started happening, and it’s a major issue that interferes with my orders. When I’m out doing an order and the merchant doesn’t have what they requested, my option to contact the customer DOES NOT WORK. I have called to let postmates know my number changed which I thought was the initial problem. I have deleted and reinstalled the app. Logged in and logged out. Updated the app every time there was an update, and still nothing!! It’s pretty upsetting and super unprofessional that I have to cancel an order because I can’t contact the customer to get items replaced! Second, I see way to many orders of customers ordering items that the merchant aren’t even making anymore. Honestly this app isn’t worth it. You drive around just to waste gas because you sure won’t make up the money for it. I will sit in red zones and drive in red zones and even during bonus hours I don’t make decent money. The pay is horrible! Super disappointed in postmates, I recommend door dash. I’ll just end up deleting this app..Version: 5.12.1

They need to just give upI signed up because I wanted to make a little extra cash however I am signed up with doordash and dash everyday but thought I would give postmates a try... SIKE I got my card and bag and then went online and right away there is issues, first it doesn’t show you a guaranteed price like doordash does so you know if it’s atlease worth it or not and I bet they do this because they know they pay so little and no one would want to accept it, right after that I closed the app and get a bunch of emails and stuff saying to start delivering for them but I’m deleting it after I delete my account from them, on top of that the order was two cities away and then deliver back in my city no way in hell im doing that, so postmates if your reading this you got a long way to go before anyone will want to work for you on average from 5-9pm for doordash I make about 50-70$ so I’ll stick with doordash even though their pay isn’t too good either it’s way better than postmates I don’t even want to try an order for the fear I will waste time and gas when I could be doordashing and know what I’m making instead of hoping for it to be worth it..Version: 5.12.5

Uber has sent this app downhillI haven’t been driving for postmates incredibly long, but I’ve been driving foe around half a year now. When I began to work for them, Uber had not bought them out. Back then there were guarantees that gave an additional 1-2$ per delivery, and guarantees where if you made 7 deliveries over the course of 3 hours, you’d be guaranteed up to 55$ not including tips. Now the additional money per delivery is gone, and the guarantees have gone down (ex. 40$ for 7 deliveries in 3 hours). I just logged on today and saw a guarantee for 17$ if you do 4 deliveries in 3 hours. To give some context, the average delivery (for me) takes 30 minutes to complete. The average delivery also pays 3-6$ (depending on how far you have to drive). So at a rate of 2 deliveries an hour, these numbers don’t even come close to minimum wage, and I still have to pay for gas and upkeep on my car, as well as quarterly taxes. I’m writing this review in the hopes that Postmates will get their act together, but I seriously doubt it. TL:DR = Postmates has gotten progressively worse to the point that you make significantly less money than minimum wage BEFORE expenses you’re required to pay..Version: 5.29.0

Thieves! Do Uber Eats insteadI did exactly one delivery for Postmates a few months ago, and immediately despised it. First off they don’t let you know how much you will paid for the delivery, until after it’s done. Not Fair! With Uber Eats, I know exactly what I will be paid and the amount of time I will spend on the delivery as well. Also unlike Uber Eats, there is NO option to actually call and speak to anyone about issues the app has. The only way to ask a question or give a concern is through a bogus email address. I received $8.43 for that one delivery. Smh pitiful I know. However, that $8.43 belongs to me! Postmates has yet to deposit my money into my bank account or onto my debit card, although I have linked them both to the app. My mistake they did deposit .1 cent into my bank account a few weeks back. So clearly they have the correct account information, smh.I’ve sent several emails regarding this, and I have yet to get a response from anyone! About 2 days after you send an email, they will send a auto generated reply, telling you that your question has been closed!!! Keep in mind though, no one has ever opened the freaking question, so how has it been closed? With that being said, Do Uber Eats if it’s an option. You will make more $, and if you encounter an issue they will actually help you and NOT STEAL YOUR MONEY!! Shame on you Postmates...Version: 5.28.0

Worst delivery app everThis app is the worst delivery app. I have done others and it is hands down the most customer unfriendly, driver unsupported, app unaccommodating app I have ever witnessed. No customer support without waiting for 10 minutes plus. Cancelled orders without letting you know and then you can’t contact anyone unless you want to wait for 10 minutes plus. No I’m app maps so you have to go back and forth out of the app. Don’t know how much you are going to make or can’t even view in real time your completed orders. You don’t see breakdown of your orders to know how much you make and how much Postmates makes. No flashlight in app to take a picture which is required for some orders. And it deactivates your camera so you have to take a pic in the dark. You have to wait at restaurants while they make the food, oh and you dont get paid for wait time. Randomly cancelled orders while you are in the other map app and you don’t realize it was cancelled until you get there. Oh and most people don’t use this app so you sit around waiting for orders that don’t come. And now someone else can wait for those orders that don’t come because I will never use this app again nor will I promote this app to anyone. Not even my enemies. 4.7 rating for this app is a joke. If you like to waste money apply herePostmates is a joke, you have to place the order right, check the order pay for the order take a picture of the receipt of the order to get $1.70!!! Drive how ever far they send you for .50 a mile away then you get an amazing .75 for dropping off in a hotel or apartment that has you walking around for at least ten minutes. Then wait weeks sometimes for a tip. When you add that up basically you get $5 maybe for 25 minutes. I forgot they pay you a off the charts .07 cents a minute to wait for the order which breaks down to 6.50 an hour. That might work somewhere like a third world country but in the USA that’s beyond a joke. They take in millions a day doing nothing but sending drivers to peoples houses, basically an app middle man that takes 90% of the money. Boycott all apps based where drivers get screwed and the app makes all the money and takes zero risk. They don’t pay minimum wage or for insurance or anything. They treat you like an object not a person risking their life to bring lazy people who can’t wear a mask food. They threw 20 million at California to pass props so they don’t have to pay us like employees. You could spend all day working and not make enough to fill your tank back up. 150 miles in Southern California for four hours and make $60!! It is what it isI used to do a couple postmates here and there when i needed a little extra cash on top of my normal job, but since losing my job due to COVID-19, I have been trying to drive full time, most nights I end up 10-20 miles from my home and I am not reimbursed for this drive. Yesterday, some restaurants were closed due to it being easter, I still received orders from these restaurants and wasted gas to get there. When I canceled these orders because the restaurants were closed, my weekly completion rate went down, lessening my potential for bonuses. there are also many technical glitches with the app including inability to open orders and randomly disconnecting. this app is far more focused on paying drivers the LEAST amount possible than providing customers with their food while it’s still fresh. at times i will pick up an order, pick up 2 more orders, and drop the last two off before the first one, giving a customer cold food. postmates has paid my bills during this hard time, but unfortunately i’m realizing that i’m better off collecting unemployment than working for 3$ an hour..Version: 5.16.2

WrongPostmates need a lot of fixing today I literally sat online all day on my day off my full time job trying to make a lil extra money. And I literally didn’t get a order all day while being online and then around 5pm finally got a Walmart order with a 4 dollars bonus so I accept the order and follow the directions up to the Walmart just to get there and call Walmart and they tell me that another driver has also accept and is there to pick up the same order. I was being told by Walmart since I was there first and been waiting that I would get the order over the other driver and that I had to wait I said ok and started waiting time started going back roughly a hour went by and I was still sitting in my car wasting gas waiting on this order so I called Walmart and told them I been waiting for a hour what’s the update just for them to tell me that Postmates is the one who sent two drivers out on the same order and that the other drivers name was on the order and not mine and pretty much told me they couldn’t do nothing about it it was a Postmates error..I’m here to say this isn’t the first time this happen to me so I’m definitely done with postmates until they fix their issues with the app man.Version: 5.5.1

Serious issue with app no longer functioning properlyOverall I don't have many issues with this app, I don't intend to go into any of the likes or dislikes I have about it -- thyis review is intended to make the developers aware that there is some kind of glitch that no longer allows me to view my deliveries under the quick links. This seems to coincide with my downloading of the latest update. I'm also unable to report any issues with deliveries as there is simply no data available for the deliveries I've made. I've done every single thing suggested when there's an issue with the app -- force-closing and restarting, logging out and back in, checking from a different phone, deleting and re-downloading the app, shutting my phone off and restarting it, trying Wi-Fi vs. my usual 4G LTE -- and nothing helps. I will certainly change my rating once this issue is resolved and I would appreciate a response from the developer as Postmates Support is unable to give any information about why my app no longer works properly. This is a very serious issue that I hope is resolved quickly..Version: 5.6.0

Do yourself a favor and never work for postmates.They won’t talk to you. They won’t support you. You’ll never get to speak to a real human. They send you a credit card and expect you to do all the risky, hard work for $3! Then they’ll use a flawed algorithm to flag any account and permanently deactivate it. Without even telling you what you supposedly did wrong. And finally stop answering your emails all together. This company treats fleet drivers like they’re disposable. As far as this app, it’s super annoying with so many notifications that have to be kept ON if you want to deliver. Stupid notifications like what’s going on with them. Nothing to do with deliveries at all. You’ll also have to keep your location on at all times. THIS APP DRAINS YOUR BATTERY FAST! The map looks extremely outdated and too often sends you outside of a reasonable distance for an underpaid delivery, without the ability to reduce your driving radius. And finally, postmates thinks it’s ok to not encourage the customers to tip, so don’t expect a tip, because they’re very rare. Don’t fall for this scam. Not as advertisedI agree with some of the posts. U don’t make up to $26/hr. It’s more like $10-14/hr. Even if you rush it some places like fast food isn’t worth it Bc postmates will pay you only $2.88 for the entire delivery even if u drive far to pick it up, they based the pay from time of pick up to drop off point and u have to pray that they’ll tip u (most cases they won’t). I wish they gave more for the waiting times. Sometimes it’s worth it. The bonuses needs to be more local. I signed up for deliveries in the OC, but a lot of the daily bonuses are for the LA county area. And it’s hard to make 9 deliveries in under 2 hours during lunch for that $45 bonus. It’s a lunch crowd and restaurants make u wait Bc they don’t have the orders ready. So meeting that expectation is a way for PM to get u make the deliveries knowing u have a 50/50 chance of completing all deliveries within that shot time span. But for something on the side it’s ok. I wish the pay rate was higher on some. $2.88/delivery was not worth it. ***i know a few ppl and we HATE the prepaid card. Don’t sign up for it. Postmates doesn’t tell u on the App prior to accepting...so when u arrive to pick up the order it takes longer Bc u have to place the order for them and wait. BEWARE OF HACKERS!!!Postmate platform is hacked by Dark Web and drivers account and personal information are being stolen. I have been what is called “Phished” witch is someone claiming to be a postmate rep and requested some of my account info otherwise i would be suspended off the platform. I didnt feel comfortable knowing postmates never asked you for your info over the phone but this person had all my info already. She was good and it sounded legit but boy was i wrong. I ran an experian report and found that i have been surveillance on the dark web. People do alot of fraud as well and im pretty sure its set up to look like i never made the delivery. Postmates is great to work for imo with 800 deliveries under my belt. But beware! Make a new email not tied to any number or icloud account and change your before every shift. Tips are not accurate as i dont always get one even tho customers have to tip? One customer tipped me $15 and i never got it. Where did that tip go? Pay outs are low and tips are high so be ready to be hit hard come tax time. They dont have any real good support everything is sent over seas and even them i feel like im being phished. Good money if you treat it like a job but horrible if you only do a few here and there. Just remember this statement when downloading...BEWARE OF THE DARK WEB!!!.Version: 5.33.1

Thankful but not too sureDefinitely thankful for the opportunity during the Covid19 outbreak and allowing me to making some money. Instead of leaving a negative a review I will add some suggestions as everyone should. There should be a required tip or fee for lower amounts and deliveries if we have to order for them plus driving. It doesn’t makes sense for us to wait in line for 20 minutes during peak hours for $3.46 with no tip. That’s very frustrating as a driver and your customer know they can use it for a cheap rate. The miles and gas do not add up to the payout and our services. Looks like you have lots of investors to pay with the numbers I’ve calculated. I’m an entrepreneur so I know how this works. Im a start up myself. Your customers I feel are not valuing the service and what’s being done for them. As a driver I feel a bit taken advantage of. I will still hop on from time to time now but I have switched to doordash for now since the payouts make more sense as well as consistent deliveries when we schedule instead of waiting. I feel I can make a bit more and I feel it’s convenient for us and making sure we make money and it’s worth our time. It’s more of a easier process as well, I feel if you make some adjustments both demand and supply things might feel better. Thank you for the opportunity and the extra money. HORRIBLE WORKING EXPERIENCE.So I was doing deliveries during quarantine, for like 2 months or so, and everything was going fine. Suddenly one day I received an email saying that my account has been suspended because I breached the Postmates Fleet Agreement as well as the safety community standards. So they deactivated my account for 2 days for no reason at all, so emailed them back and forth and they told me that I breached the agreement and my account was under review. All I did during my employment with Postmates was to just complete deliveries in a consistent manner everyday. In the end they deactivated my account permanently without reversal, they claimed over and over the same thing “You breached the Postmates fleet agreement”, but they never went into the specific details of why they fired me for no reason at all. They said that for security reasons they will not disclose that to me and told me how appreciative they were towards me during my employment and wished me good luck in future endeavors. I question their integrity, work ethic and overall the reason to fired me, and they never clearly stated one that makes sense to me. A lot of problems(Before you read, the average payout I receive without tips is $4) You guys really have a lot of problems to fix. First off when you get a delivery to an apartment complex most of the time we don’t get the gate number or even where the apartment is, it just takes you to the gates then suddenly your on your own. Makes the delivery take a lot longer. Secondly, the payouts are horrendous. I’ll drive across town just to get paid $4 and then the costumer has the option to not tip?! Tipping in this industry is everything especially if your only gonna pay out $4 to the driver. I’ve had a lot of people who choose not to tip and it messes a lot up financial wise. You guys need to think about where ur taking the driver because if your gonna take them a long ways $4 isn’t gonna influence us to do much here, the driver not only has to go get the food but take it to the person who ordered it. It doesn’t sound like a lot but what you guys are missing is we eventually need to get back to where we were, and like I said $4 after you send us a long way isn’t gonna make people wanna do this for much longer..Version: 5.32.3

This app is infuriatingOk so started doing Postmates cause I thought it would be a good way to earn extra money considering work has been a little slow lately. I see they have a deal going right now where you complete 55 deliveries and get $400 guaranteed — sweet! Problem is, I went out today planning to get 10 deliveries done. I started at noon and it didn’t even send me an offer until 12:40. First order took a half hour to complete with waiting for food and then driving to the drop off location 20 minutes away. So they take forever to send you offers, claiming there aren’t any near you, then when you drive into a hot spot, they send an order, and it’s 10 miles away from your location. I had to drive two towns over for my first delivery. You have to drive to the red zones on the map or they won’t even offer you a delivery, and when you do get into the red zone, it almost feels like the app purposely updates right then and suddenly the red zones are all the way across town. I drove around for 2 hours today, wasted so much gas, and didn’t even make $10. $10/hr isn’t even a good wage either. I really thought this would be a good way to make extra money but it’s a scam. You do all the work and the company rakes in the money. Also, people rarely tip..Version: 5.11.2

Need live supportWhen there are no issues with an order the app works just fine. But when there IS an issue I’ve been left feeling totally helpless. There is no way to contact live support from the app and when you try to submit an email ticket you go around in circles because sometimes it just directs you to a help page and they do not respond right away anyway. For example, when a merchant is unable to fulfill an order and the customer wants to cancel I have no options to say I can’t fulfill the order (even though the help page indicates this should be an option) and the customer is upset (not at me) because they are going to get charged if they cancel. I have also experienced a frozen account due to a customer canceling after I had already paid but before delivery began. The app was literally stuck on the order for three weeks before they were able to clear it, which meant I could not work during that time and there was no communication about how long it would take to get fixed. Unfortunately, I don’t think this company is going to last with all the competition if they continue to not care about supporting their fleet..Version: 5.12.5

Many many glitchesIn general but I’ve run into many problems and glitches revolving the app itself. Also if I ever run into a serious problem and a customer is waiting on me and I need pertinent information.. I HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE PHONE NUMBER TO CALL! Only the message board and email which never fixes the problem in time. For example I had to deliver to two different people in the same order but after the first order I selected that I dropped off the food to the first customer, and suddenly the app completely deleted the second customers address and phone number while I’m sitting there with their food trying to figure out where to drop it off. That is just one flaw in the app overall it seems to work most of the time, but there are many many glitches that I run into daily and I’ve heard from many other people the same thing. But please we need a customer service number for the Fleet that I can call in the middle of a delivery or a transaction if need be thank you..Version: 5.4.0

You’re held accountable for everything!This app resets personal rates you weekly. Which at first seems pretty cool because it gives you the opportunity to have a clean slate try for incentives. And it’s easy to keep a 100% completion rate when merchants are open and have items requested of their own web site. But sometimes they’re closed and never updated their new business hours. Or the customer does not want to substitute what they initially ordered with something else in the event that it’s not available. You’re forced to cancel. Even if it’s the merchant’s fault, you’re still held accountable for everything! With the cancellation counting against your delivery rating. It’s absolutely maddening! When the ratio to try and raise your rating back to at least 95% is a ridiculous number of deliveries. Ex: I “attempted” 16 deliveries but could only complete 13. Had I completed all 16, my rating would stay at 100%. But since the merchants were closed, the app said I would have to complete another 36 orders to meet the 95% rating! What kinda of algorithm does this use?!?!!.Version: 5.17.2

Major bugs and issuesNoticed lately slower response time for receiving deliveries. The notification of a delivery completion, as well as the GPS indicator where it shows the direction your vehicle faces always appear to face the wrong direction opposite to where the vehicle actually faces, and whenever I open the app the map shows the San Francisco area when I’m literally in the Los Angeles valley area. (Please address these issues I’ve contacted fleet support multiple times to the technical department and I’ve not properly received emails to my reports, as well as noting the engineering team is supposed to address this issue properly and effectively for everyone whom receives the same bugs and issues as well as I.) And the most ironic part is I’m using 5G which should have a much stronger connection response as well as receiving data quicker than 4G LTE. I’ve worked many months for fleet and I’ve done my dedication as well as I still plan to continue my support for fleet and I ask to check in this major problem and these bugs/issues shouldn’t be left unchecked for it’ll lead decrease in quality and services I’m supposed to provide for the customers as well as being a driver myself..Version: 5.31.3

New version super glitchyI just updated the app and it’s even worse than before. Now I have issues seeing my order number; it won’t show up on the bottom of my screen until I open either my profile tab or the other tab (on the left), then close the screen, then my order number will show up. Can no longer see my balance, and the app is loading up orders with no regard for ppls food. It wanted me to take a 45 minute detour (driving, ordering/paying, waiting) for another order between picking one up and dropping it off. Imagine having to wait that long from when your food was picked up, let alone how long it’s been sitting there before I got to it. This is a great way to get zero tips. Fix the bugs and work on your algorithm. Update: when you get an order that you have to order, pay, and wait for it’s usually because the restaurant isn’t an official part of the program, so Postmates calls in the orders. I’ve had many restaurants tell me they have tried to distance themselves from Postmates, but Postmates just does a work around. If they can’t get through, they foist it off on us at .07$/minute. Meaning when you wait 30 min for an order you are making $2 as well as missing out on the quicker orders. Be careful, drivers..Version: 5.12.0

You can do better!I have been with Postmates since they started and what can I say, it tried to get better. The lack of live customer service representatives during a live delivery is not set at a high or good standard leaving us, delivery drivers stuck figuring out what to do to help the customers, which is ALL of our customers who essentially allow all of us to do and be in business! The app must be updated, in reference to what restaurants actually want to work with the food delivery platform during this pandemic time to ensure that us as drivers are not wasting our own personal resources when the Postmates app doesn’t compensate us for the time traveled to the restaurant or wait time. So, when we arrive on site only to find out that the restaurant doesn’t wish to work with the platform we have now not made money and wasted gas and time, all while a customer is awaiting an order they are not aware that they will not be receiving to only then have to get a refund and place another order elsewhere. Thus, possibly inconveniencing them with a basic and bare necessity of life, FOOD! FIX IT PLEASE FOR ALL OF OUR SAKE LOVES!! THE PEOPLE ARE HUNGRY AND WANT FOOD NOT PROBLEMS!.Version: 5.33.1

What has happened?!This is the second review that I’ve written on postmates but this will be my last as I just have to delete this app and I won’t be inviting anyone else to join either. We obviously need money or we wouldn’t be doing postmates but we shouldn’t be taken advantage of either. I hate the updated app, you have to go through too many steps to accept the orders. Maybe there are a lot of dumb people that cant follow simple instructions but the older app was a lot better to me. On top of that the pay doesn’t match the drive and wait times. I’ve accepted orders 5 minutes from my residence but have had to deliver almost 20 minutes away! Then once you reach that area you may get another order that takes you further out of your way. And don’t do Walmart orders, I just had to sit and wait almost two hours on groceries just to get paid $7.63! The app is saying that I only waited 15 minutes, smh. I couldn’t cancel the order because postmates wouldn’t pay out and I had already burned my gas, that screwed up my night. To top things off, it’s starting to feel unsafe, I have had to go into some shady areas. The pay, time, gas and safety issues are just not worth it..Version: 5.12.3

One star isn’t low enoughI signed up for postmates not even knowing how popular it was in my area or if it would be worth it. After waiting a week for the prepaid card to come in, I was ready to go...until it came time for the background check. The screen says “this should take 5 minutes” and then went on to take an entire month. I checked the website for help and they gave me some links through an automated response. I pressed both. One asked me for information that I had already given and the other was to check my status of my background check. Even after a month it says that there was no background check that had even been started. I tried using their help page, which they outsource to “postmates experts.” The experts didn’t do anything. The link says to click on it for the answer and then it would take you to the generic help screen so you could ask someone else. Both requests timed out. Finally I put in grievances, threw the card away, and sent a complaint with all of this info. It’s not worth the hassle. If you have questions, don’t bother asking them. They’ll give you an automatic response or outsource you to someone who won’t answer..Version: 5.23.7

Postmates does not care about their fleet!Do not waste your time with this company! They did not care about their fleet drivers at all! I spent 20 minutes at the restaurant placing the order and confirming it with the employee. Just as I was about to check out, the order was canceled with no compensation! This was despite being in contact with the customer about the progress of the order. I am certain the cancellation did not come from them. Postmates decided to cancel the order because they thought it was taking too long, even though I was diligently doing my job (the merchant was slow and barely spoke English). After spending 20 minutes on this order and the embarrassment of having to cancel the purchase after everything was made, I spent 30 minutes on hold with support to find out what happened with this order, only to be told they could do nothing to compensate me. This is almost an hour of my time and energy wasted on slave labor for this company because I’m not getting paid one penny for it. Absolutely despicable! Competitors like DoorDash at least give half pay if the order is canceled after you arrive at the restaurant, and their pay is better. I will not continue with Postmates as long as they continue to treat their drivers like trash!.Version: 5.5.0

SHAME ON YOU POSTMATES!Postmates is a Scam. Been working for them for a long time now. They will attract drivers with the promise of making money with their bonus. But beware, I once you start getting those bonus they will shadow ban you. It happened to me MANY times. One example: last night I needed 14 runs from 5-9pm to get the bonus. So I’m busy af from 5-8. Non-stop, like crazy. Made 13. And then, magically, my phone didn’t ring for one hour. And I’m in a busy area of the map on their app. In Hollywood. It’s all coding. When you’re about to get your bonus they will either stop sending you orders or they will send you orders that were refused by other drivers, orders that are so far you won’t be able to make that and one more to hit the bonus. Again, that happened to me TOO MANY TIMES. Scammers. I wish someone had money to sue them, but obviously if you’re working for Postmates it means you don’t have much. And that’s how theybtake advantage from their drivers. If you don’t hot the bonus you get paid $3 per delivery. It’s a joke. Also if you need to contact support, GOOD LUCK! You will get an automated email response with a broken link to reply after they don’t resolve your issue. Need to cancel an order because a merchant messed it up? Good luck finding a reason that it shows it’s not your own fault and that you will be punished. I could give a minus 5 stars to this company that treats their drivers like garbage. Getting scammedLocation: Los Angeles, Ca. My experience was alright. There are definitely better apps for this. The promos are worth it but I found I couldn’t complete orders from 10:30am-1:30pm as simply there was too much traffic in my area. When it came time to pay I was having app issues and it’s been a month since I was promised to be payed but still nothing. I wouldn’t recommend this app as they don’t tell you when the person cancels on you, how much you are going to be payed and most importantly the distance of delivery. I was scammed by a customer twice. Apparently the customer is able to cancel their order as you are delivering to them. If you confirm the pick up and the customer decides to cancel the order the app won’t notify you of this and give the illusion that you “completed the order” but won’t register it... I.e. scamming. You are only able to contact Postmates through email which is terrible in my opinion. Any other app is better than this app for drivers. If you getting food delivered to it’s pretty cheap. Reconsider if you are seeking some cash and look the other apps such as door dash, Uber eats, insta cart etc..Version: 5.26.1

AwfullllIm not writing this in a state of anger. I still use this app however I just want to be truthful and let everyone know what they could possibly be getting themselves into. Post mates is the last service you want to deliver with. There is no estimation for how much you’ll make before accepting the trip. Even if the trip is far you aren’t compensated you’re only compensated from the time of pickup. Where as competitors like Uber eats pays you long distance fees. It’s been times where I’ve left the app on for hours during peak lunch hour and didn’t receive one trip. The estimate an hour is inaccurate. It’s really more like 6-10dollars an hour IFFFFF the customer tips. I’ve been blessed enough to get a tip on all trips but if I wasnt I would be very disappointed because the pay is so low. There is No base pay and it’s 50 cent a mile. 🥴 when I need five dollars for gas I’ll use the app. However you might use all the gas you do have in order to make the five dollars. All in all not worth it. Don’t expect to pay your bills driving for them or even a billl. You’d be lucky enough to pay for a meal that day. Good luck to all.Version: 5.30.1

Joining incentive SCAMI joined postmates to make a little extra cash. After trying to join and the page closing on me and having to reopen it “from where I left off” I found out that postmates selected my market area as the OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE USA. Like, my market area should have been in Oregon and they put it in Massachusetts. Then upon realizing this and reaching out to postmates SEVERAL TIMES, they refuse to help me with my joining incentive by changing my delivery area to the correct area. They refuse to offer any other bonuses while my *month long* joining bonus is active. Sure, I can deliver in my area, and will likely continue to.... but that’s not what I signed up for. Also, because of this, it seems the friend that I was invited by will also be screwed out of their invite bonus because of this whole thing. So, there you have it. Postmates does not stand by their word. They refuse to call me to figure it out even after they asked me to provide specific time frames, time zones, and phone number so they can return a call. All they do is email the same exact copied and pasted message and tack on a different agent name. I’ve got I think 3 or 4 different names now of agents who refuse to find out what happened and refuse to help me with this situation..Version: 5.12.1
