AT&T Call Protect Pros

Absolutely amazing great appSince I found this app I wouldn’t use any other app I kept on getting spam calls telemarketing etc. it was very stressful I would miss very important calls just because my phone ring all the time and usually it was spam since I downloaded this app my life has been a lot more stress-free knowing that 99% of spam calls are blocked and you can also just send them to your voicemail in case you think it might be someone that you want to call back they have many different features that allow you to do a variety of things including reporting phone number that keeps calling you if you are tired of dealing with spam calls telemarketing and unwanted calls I would highly suggest downloading this app.Lilthis N thatVersion: 2.31.0

You’ll need to turn off notifications and be patientFirst, notifications: if you have that turned on you get s whole series for one phone call. Basically once every second. Might be related to how the app identifies fraudulent calls. Not sure. But supper annoying when they keep popping on the screen. Second, patience: seems like we, the users, have to train the app. Of course people perpetrating these robo calls have thousands of phone numbers so you’ll spend an eternity writing them up. Almost as annoying as the calls themselves. Not sure if the app has ever identified a fake call before I’ve logged it as such. With new trick of attaching a fake name to calls things might become harder as they are read as “identified call”. So, my patience is wearing thin. Is AT&T (and other telecoms) putting this on the subscribers rather than trying to figure out how to simply stop this crap from ever reaching us? Yes, is my guess. Kinda like the “convenience” of bagging your own groceries (a labor savings for stores in reality) 😂.Derek49Version: 1.6.180

AT&T Call Protect Cons

Blocks some callsThe app works well enough I guess, but still inundated by ATT based cell phone calls NONE I am personally dialing. My own # supposedly calls me, up to 25 times in less than half an hour... which finally shows up as flagged, over 120 times of it calling me total (so far) later. My neighbor’s number still calls multiple times an hour and I had to manually block theirs. They did not know my number at all, nor do I advertise it anywhere publicly. When these phone #’s are searched they often turn up as Spam or Scam, and yet NONE get blocked unless we do it ourselves. This app still doesn’t help stop spam especially those who claim to be associated with ATT services. Research into those numbers show they are NOT genuine. And sadly it does NOTHING to aid the countless spam and perverted texts that won’t be caught by the number to text spam calls to since many of these use a jumble of letters and numbers as an email address instead of phone numbers.MomB of 3Version: 2.23.0

Not ImpressedSo far this app hasn’t worked as I hoped. First of all, I couldn’t find an operating manual or explanation anywhere. So, use is based on best guess. Telemarketers still ring through, you just get a warning that it is a telemarketer. The app has completely missed one telemarketer phone number or they are figuring out how to get around it. Since starting to use this app my fraud calls have tripled. They don't ring through, but my phone looks like a strobe light because they just keep calling every few seconds. I want a way so anyone not in my contacts list can’t call me or anyone not in my contacts list would automatically be sent to voice mail except fraud call should be blocked in this case. These two setting could just be under settings in the app for those who want them. Also, you are going to have to answer the telemarketer call and find out who they are so you can fill out the information section. This defeats the whole purpose of the app. I answered one of these calls by accident and I now get 20 or 30 calls a day..Fief puddleVersion: 1.4.146
