✓ Deleted, too expensiveI downloaded this after seeing an advertisement on Facebook, so it turns out after playing for a whole of... three minutes.. that most of the features you see on the adverts are not free. I understand you gotta make money on your app, but after starting a story, within the first 10 taps there was an image (that we have to subscribe and pay for) and it was important to the story, due to not being able to view them I lost track of the story quickly and removed the app. Try charging for “premium stories” or something, and offering short stories for free, including the images... Five minutes of my life I won’t get back..Version: 5.6.0

Let this be known I was full on convinced that I could see Tap stories for free. I couldn’t. They didn’t even asked for a log in, just dived into a story. I wasn’t interested. After endless tapping, it suddenly tells me I have to wait a certain amount of minutes until I continue with that same story. I have no interest in that! ✓ Slightly DisappointedI am an avid wattpad user and I absolutely adore the app. I had been really hyped for the Tap app, but when I got it... well, it wasn’t as great as I thought it would be. First off, I’m not paying for extra features, so I do not get to see images, listen to videos, or choose alternate endings. However, because I’m not paying, I. Can’t. Choose. Once you’re in a story, there is no home button. That was something I immediately noticed. When it really became a problem was when I was in a story and had to choose between two options. When I clicked either one of them, a banner advertising premium popped up, saying I couldn’t choose unless I got it. I tried to get out to the main menu, but nothing worked. The only way to get out of a story is to complete it, so if you don’t like the story or you don’t have Premium, sorry. There’s no way out. I had to redownload the app to my phone. I’d like to see a feature where we can watch ads to unlock more taps, or stories, or see images. I understand the creators need to make money, but if there are advertisements, the people behind them have to pay for them to be on the app and the creators will be making money. Premium would be cheaper but still better as you wouldn’t have to watch an ad for everything. Perhaps there could be a limit to ads each hour/day? Also, please. Make a home button! ✓ DisappointedIt’s really annoying that I have to pay to do something I can find another app to do for free. It's just a bunch of text conversations, nothing exceptionally mesmerising about it... and certainly nothing worth paying for. Users could get a similar experience elsewhere for zero cost. I deleted it literally a few minutes after I'd installed it. The 20 minute wait is beyond ridiculous, especially for stories that weren't particularly engaging or creative. Practically pointless to have this app unless you're willing to pay. And expecting membership in exchange for viewing media? A shameless money grab attempt. ✓ 1 starThis app is so annoying.... When you first open the app, you have to go through a story that you DONT want to read. After one chapter of the story I was forced to read, I though that it would let me close out and choose my own..... I was wrong. I couldn’t close out of the story so I had to wait like 3 hours before I got more taps. So basically you get to tap on a screen ten times, wait a couple of hours to get more, and then go through that process until your done reading the WHOLE story. The problem with this is that the story’s they choose are so long. I’ve had this app for almost a week, and I’m still not done with the story. Absolutely ridiculous. I love Wattpad, but this app is just trash and it needs to be removed from the App Store. ✓ RidiculousI don’t ever write reviews but considering this app was based off the illustrators from Wattpad I had high expectations. Only to find that this app is a rip off. We have to wait 20 minutes after a certain amount of taps and also have to PAY to be able to see pictures in the stories and basically play the whole game. You have to pay weekly for an app to read fictional “interactive” stories.. don’t advertise something without saying you need to pay to actually get the full version of the app..Version: 5.5.0

You’re better than this.I’ve had so many chat story apps, and I was expecting this one to be impressive, just like the Wattpad app. First, I’d like to say, I have no regard for the demon child story. That is not why I downloaded the app. Having to pay $8 for VIP is almost as ridiculous as the premium version of Wattpad- no one wants that. If the pictures, calls, etc. are essential to the story, I should not have to pay to view them. That is impractical, and certainly does not convince anyone to pay for them. A developer as successful as you should not feel the need to drain as much money out of your following as you can. I do understand the timer, as chat stories are a much faster (and less interesting) read than the stories on your other apps. However, that does not make this a sufficient story app. You cannot simply take the ideas of others, dress them up as your own, and make the people who have been supporting you for years pay for the same swill everyone else is peddling. My opinion is that if you're promoting an app, you should be showing the best parts of it. Whether you chose to take my advice into consideration, or if you don't even read it at all, I don't mind. ✓ It’s begging for moneyOkay so listen. Wattpad is a great app and I got Tap to see what it was like. All I can say is that it’s begging for you to buy premium. On Wattpad, premium wasn’t a big deal and you don’t have to buy it to enjoy it. I read it because I figure that's how it welcomes new readers. First time, free thread, show you how it works. I get to the turning point of the story and it brings me to a page where I buy the membership. It says buy the membership or wait 20min to read again. First let me say I just downloaded this app, and immediately deleted it, so this review may be non-credible. Upon downloading there is a text story waiting for you, the story is pretty long but I tapped through. After the initial story ends the app immediately wants you to get a free trial (and we all know w/ a free trial you have to put in your credit card info) or wait 19 minutes. ✓ Improved!When I first got Tap, it was horrible. I couldn’t choose the story I wanted to read, I couldn’t read the description of any stories, and overall I couldn’t get to even the home page. Now, I am able to get to the home page with just a swipe, choose the story I want to read (and even search specific ones up), and can now read the descriptions of stories more easily. I recommend creating an account or logging in, since the app seems to work better when you do. You just can’t do the “choose your own ending” stories, which is annoying since almost all the ones that I want to read are like that. ✓ NOT WORTH ITI downloaded this app a while ago with a friend, then deleted it. Now, we wanted to sign back into the account, but it came as a big surprise that we literally can't sign in anymore. It traps you on a story that I surely didn't choose, and more surely don't want to read! Also, unless you want to wait 19 mins, you have to start the "7 day free trial" which then after they charge you 10.00 a month unless you cancel it. That is as much a Netflix subscription!
