✓ Could have been greatHow the developers could have tested this and been happy with it is beyond me, what is such an obvious fault, destroys what would have been a 5 star game, a great game! The fault The huge! bright! pink! and yellow! Polka dotted elephant in the room is: Unit positioning, vital to strategic outcomes, is all wrong, the two finger pinch just does not work, you can never get units to face up where you want. There's not to many situations that call for your units to be upside down back to front in random columns, but if there ever is I'll be ready. There are so many ways this could have easily been achieved with 5 minutes of thought. I'm not the first to point this out and I wont be the last..Version: 1.7.1
✓ Bad AI or bad Pathfinding?I love total war Attila,which is basically the pc version of barbarion invasion. But the AI for barbarion invasion is just terrible, I was doing a siege battle and ordered my troops to go to the town square because the enemy broke through my rear guard and I needed to defend the town square,anyways,instead of going through a street which was unblocked and useable the troops ran out through a gate,ran through enemy arrows and onagar fire which practically decimated that unit,it then proceeded to run around the entirety of the city and go through the gate at the back WHEN THEY COULDVE GONE THROUGH THE STREET LIKE 6 FEET AWAY. Anyways the by the time the unit got to the town square it had 16 soldiers left and instantly routed when it got to the town square.....please fix the path finding or the AI,which Evers fault it’s was. PS I did win the siege battle because I had reserves which some would use the street and others ran around the whole city..Version: 1.12

✓ RubbishLove the port but this is rubbish, the controls are terrible, its sometimeish and the does what it want not what you command it to do, I have tried and tried and tried because I really love this game but in all honesty it’s rubbish on the iPad, I wouldn’t even try to imagine what’s its like on a phone..Version: 1.12

✓ Post battle crashesI do love this, I liked the original Rome total war app as well. This would be getting 5 stars were it not for the fact that almost every time I complete a battle on the battle map and then tap the check mark to return to the main map the game totally crashes this forces me to reboot the app and redo the battle still resulting in a crash. This means I have to auto run every battle please fix! Having said all that I do really like this and some of the new features like night battles and swimming please keep up the good work would love to see more of these games come to the App Store!.Version: 1.7.1

✓ I was good but I can't play anymoreI was good but now whenever I try to load it it says I need to download something so I click download. It then gets stuck on the processing page and won't download even after I left it for an hour. Whenever I try to reboot the game the same thing happens again. ✓ Night attack crashGame crashes always when you try night attacks further in the campaign.. this happened in all my campaigns when I touch the button. I enjoy total war games and I bought the expansion because most of all the night attack feature. if you can make a new patch solving this it'd be 5 stars.Version: 1.12
✓ Love it but two things.When I bought this game I had thought it was only 3.6 storage space but when I got it it was more than it said it was I didn’t want to know I wasted 5$ so I had to delete almost all my games now I can’t get ANYTHING. NO MATTER HOW SMALL! I honestly hope anyone near full storage don’t get it if you don’t want to delete about all your apps and games! I was a fan but now I don’t know if I like the Rome games. ✓ CrashWould get 5 stars if it worked properly. Sometimes it seems to work just fine and is good to play... then it starts crashing and lagging and when you try to zoom camera in battle mode it jumps all over the place. ✓ ComplexWhat is the mania for icons? From computers to cars, icons, icons. Why can't there be titles to icons? The icon designers have no problem remembering what they represent, but when the user is faced with dozens of icons, it becomes confusing, frustrating, time wasting and error producing. The introductory tutorial goes much too quickly, the text sometimes obscures the icon being described, and the icon is often not hi-lighted enough. Please try not to make this an exam of icon recognition and memorization!!!.Version: 1.7.1

✓ Need to improve the battle controlsLoved this game growing up, hope it was going to be just as good, and it would have been, if I was playing on a PC with a mouse and keyboard. The campaign over Europe works ok, but difficult to see all the information on a phone, even on the iPhone plus. Trying to place troops during the battle is hopeless though, commands and gestures hardly work or they get interpreted as something else. Then when you start the battle I had troops running in all different directions. Shame as the graphics are just as good as I remember. The battles worked great on a PC/laptop, on a phone they’re just too complex to handle. Developers, if I can get a refund that would be great as I won’t be playing this again, shame. Should of just downloaded it to my laptop!.Version: 1.11
✓ Very clunky and frustratingThe nostalgia is nice but at the same time is a huge step down from the second rome total war. After playing the second game for a long time and returning to this I forgot how frustrating the first game was/ not as fun. The garrison feature of the second is truly missed and makes the total war series better. Now having this game on a phone is ridiculously frustrating and clunky. The units just don’t simply follow what you want to do a lot of the times. The AI is beyond stupid and won’t listen to the route you choose for them. The controls are so infuriating and makes a simple battle hard and trying to setup a formation and get things how you want is a chore. I get it’s easier and faster with a mouse but saying this game was redesigned for iPhone is misleading as it doesn’t feel like it should be on an iPhone after trying to use the controls. Half the time you’re trying to figure out what to do/ how to do it/ where the heck to go!! The tutorials aren’t much help. Don’t buy this at full price, you’ll regret it. Sweet for nostalgia but the frustration ruins this gem..Version: 1.12
✓ Game freeze very annoyingLove the game but the game will freeze on my iPad after a battle and the screen just locks with a closeup of horses and soldiers and you cannot get out of it it has happened twice and the only thing you can do is delete game and reinstall very annoying if you have been on a long campaign for it gets wiped out.Version: 1.7.4

✓ Not bad game , BUT!!!I'be played this game on PC many years ago, it was my favorite game. It could be a really good game for IPad but lots of things missing from PC game, like formation units. Also I meet problems with balancing of units, my limitans lost 2/3 of squid against priests,PRIESTS!!! 3 stars because I still have good memories from PC game.Version: 1.7.1
