✓ Don’t believe the "no ads" adsDec 2022 edit: An update a while ago meant you can restart levels without having to watch ads. That’s good, and I should have acknowledged it at the time; sorry I didn’t. Unfortunately, a more recent change means that forced ads will now interrupt you in the middle of levels, which is scum behavior and an instant 1-star: devs that do this deserve neither your money nor your time. Original 2021 review: Some of the ads for this game promise “no annoying ads”. This is, of course, a lie - but at least they’re all skippable. I haven’t seen any cases where forced ads make you watch the whole 30 seconds, unlike many other games. The downside is you’ll be seeing a *whole lot* of these skippable ads [edit: now during the levels as well, which moves from “annoying” to “hostile”]..Version: 2.7.0

Unskippable ad. Out of moves? The game won’t tell you unless you tap the hint button. Now, it doesn’t actually use one of your 3 hints if you’re all out of moves, BUT if you didn’t have any hints to begin with, you have to watch another 30 second unskippable ad just for it to tell you and end the game. Not to mention the app runs poorly, causing my phone to slow down and heat up after 3 rounds. Yeah, it’s fun for a week or so, but not really worth keeping after that..Version: 2.7.0

✓ Bluetooth headphones not workingPrior to purchasing the game (remove banners etc) I could listen to Apple Music at the same time. Now it disconnects my headphones and plays through the phone speakers instead (i have iPhone X) Needless to say, I play this game (and enjoy it) as I commute. It is frustrating that I had to play it in silence. If this a glitch and will sorted with an update, I’ll wait. If not, I would like a refund as it next to useless for my purpose. ✓ Terrible! Full of adverts!I was forced to watch an advert even before I played the first game, a very long advert. Solitaire is meant for a quick bit of relaxing fun when you have 5 minutes between tasks, if 3 of those minutes are taken up by some nauseating, mind numbing, coma inducing adverts, what is the point?!?! Stay well clear of this game and any game by this developer, maybe these developers will get the message about not ramming adverts down our throats if we all complain!!.Version: 2.4.1
✓ Ad update ruined the gameI have played this game daily for sometime now. Like most any other free game, they play ads in between games or as an option to get extra tools (very normal and reasonable). No biggie. But a recent update has the game stopping abruptly for ads….in the middle of the game. It’s super obnoxious and has completely ruined the game experience for me. Not only will I delete this game, I will not download any others by this developer. The only way these “free” games work is with a fair compromise: the developer makes money off ads, we watch the ads between games/levels. ✓ Game stopped workingGreat when it works. Most enjoyable solitaire game to play that I’ve found. HOWEVER: The app stopped working all together about a week ago. All my other apps and everything else works fine. When you open the daily challenge shows that it’s Nov 21 everytime, but it is March. (Writing review on March 19). You can not hit play on it, or anything else, you can’t select continue game, or new game, home, settings, awards, nothing. ✓ New update ruined itI had loved playing this game before bed each night and enjoyed the regular “picture challenges” and improving my stats. Unfortunately, the latest update has removed the stats so I no longer have a challenge for myself - it has no point any more. Also, if I had made a mistake I used to be able to go back several steps to retrace and correct my error. Now you’ve removed the ability to do this. So not only have you removed the point of the game by wiping out statistics, you’ve also made it almost impossible to play because perfect games are very few and far between. One inevitably needs to backtrack to correct an error, but on this game that’s now not at all possible. ✓ Too many ads/not enough winningThere were too many ads so I purchased the ad free version. My top score (before purchasing the ad free version) was 49,000+. Now that I’ve spent the money to bypass the ads, I can’t seem to score more than 5,000. It’s just solitaire so I’m still going to play but it seems a little fishy that there’s so many random shuffles that result in “no more moves” with no way to replay the hand. Also, before purchasing, the app lagged really badly and my phone got super hot. I won’t move any cards from the bottom, and I’ll go through the deck and can’t make a move so hit hint and I get no available moves. This mucks up your stats. ✓ Ads Keep IncreasingI have loved this app for awhile and, until recently, would have given it 4-5 stars. I like the daily challenge, the leveled games and the periodic “events.” It has always had ads, but that’s expected in a free app, and they were always pretty reasonable. Well, that all changed with the most recent update. The ads are suddenly required more frequently and they are noticeably longer. I am always suspicious of any app that is so obviously just trying to keep the user on longer and longer. I get that the developer needs to make money, but this latest jump is pushing me out. ✓ Too many adsI’ve been playing daily since getting the app over six months ago. I really like the design, it’s simple and clean and I really enjoy the weekly events and checking my stats. In the last month or so they did an update where now I’m inundated with ads while playing. Before there were ads at the beginning and end info the game, plus if you wanted to go back a play or use a joker, and I was fine with that. Now in addition to those ads they’ll interrupt my gameplay randomly 2-3 more times per game. It’s too much and has overall greatly reduced my the time that I play the app. At this point I’ll probably still play the daily challenge, but stop playing the weekly events that used to be my favorite..Version: 2.7.0
✓ Out of moves and adsI don’t usually write reviews, but this game is slightly annoying. On one of the events no matters what you do you run out of moves, forcing you to use a joker (unless you quit)- even then, you still run out of moves. The advertisement that led to me downloading this game stated that there were no ads. Which is probably too good to be true seeing that they had to pay for that ad meaning they would get no revenue and end up losing money, but nonetheless that’s what was “promised”. No ads. ✓ YikesThis game is so much fun and I have lots of fun playing on my free time but for some reason it makes my phone overheat REALLY bad. It gets so hot that I have to hold it with a blanket and recently my iPhone alerted me that I couldn’t use it because it overheated SO MUCH!! This doesn’t happen with any other app and once I close the game my phone is fine and cools down in less than 30 seconds. I’m not sure if this is just a problem with my phone or the game but this phone is barely a week old. ✓ Ads are out of controlFirst I’ll say that I’ve played this app daily for nearly five years. Like most free apps, this one sells ads. I didn’t mind because they would pop up after your game and you could close them after about five seconds. After a recent update, an ad now plays DURING your game about 2 to three minutes in, which is absolute absurd. Also I dislike how you can no longer go back and look at your stats from previous daily challenges. This is a change that happened maybe a year ago — so if you want to know your time after a daily challenge game, you have to look at it before you close the app otherwise it’s gone. There are too many other free solitaire apps to waste time with the incessant ads on this one. It’s been fun, but I’m moving on..Version: 2.7.0

✓ Used to be GreatIn the past I would’ve given this version of solitaire 5 stars. But recently some changes have really rubbed me the wrong way. I just play the game casually when I’m bored. It used to be that you could undo as many times as you wanted, which was great for a casual experience. But now the number of undos is limited, so I never use them anymore, lest I have to pay for more once I reach zero. Moreover, this is a minor gripe, but the game no longer tells you when you’re out of moves? It’s a minor inconvenience, but when playing a game as quick and simple as solitaire, the alert would be nice. Also, this has been mentioned in other reviews, but getting a high score is totally luck-based at this point since within 3 or 4 games, you usually reach an unsolvable level, I assume again so that the player needs to pay for privileges to keep going. ✓ Great gameplay, but overrun with adsThis is a fun, well-designed solitaire game. It has a clean design and some nice features — a “tournament mode” and options for Draw 1 or 3, sound on or off, and even an optional left-handed mode. However, I can’t give the app above 3 stars because it is absolutely loaded with ads. Ads show between every game and even during games. The ads are full-screen and stop gameplay entirely. They cause the device to overheat and drain battery. Most ads are only 5-10 seconds long but many use dark patterns to make it difficult to close them. They also replay the same ads frequently. I understand running banner ads at the bottom of the screen to generate revenue for the developer (oh yeah, they have those too), but seeing a full-screen ad literally every two minutes is a massive nuisance and frankly ruins the experience for the user. ✓ Missing componentsI have been a google pixel user for a few years and i had been playing the solitaire that easybrains has places on google play. i recently switched to iphone. it’s almost the same, except with 1 major component. the google play version settings allows me to switch to draw 3 and let’s me choose the scoring i want. there is no draw mode or scoring mode on this apple version :( i love this app and it’s still my favorite solitaire app to this date, but it’s frustrating that those 2 big options aren’t there for me.Version: 2.4.0

✓ Turned bad nowI know they said every level is beatable, some challenging but able to be beaten. However, I played this game before and had never failed the first stage. There’s no reason for the first stage to be challenging in any way. I used to play this for maybe two years on my old phone and it was never like this. Now it makes you watch an ad to figure out if there’s no moves left. It used to just say “No more moves” and I’m almost 100% sure they intentionally made it easier to run out of moves so you’ll be forced to watch an ad to get the hint and watch an ad to get a joker to continue playing. ✓ Cannot Restart Without Using HintsThere is no way to restart a game if you want to. If you know you are out of moves, you have to use hints. The hints will offer you a joker first, then you can restart once you’ve used both jokers. Sometimes the hints are wasted on a suggestion to move a card from the top back into play just to move a different one into the finished stack. Pointless moves just to be told to use a joker then to finally restart. It would be much improved with an option to restart the game without having to go through all of these steps.Version: 2.5.1
✓ Great game but adverts getting more and more intrusiveThis game works really well, is intuitive and runs smoothly. When I first downloaded the game the ads popped-up quickly and disappeared when I clicked on the delete cross in the corner of the screen. That was an OK trade-off in exchange for a free game. However, the ads get more and move intrusive as time goes on. Some of them have long videos that you can’t get out of until they’ve finished, others the delete icon is hidden, and one of them I couldn’t even work out how to get back to the game. The team have allowed the balance to go way too far in the favour of the advertisers. I’ve now uninstalled the game so the company isn’t going to get any money from me now: probably not the best long term business model..Version: 1.1.5

✓ HiThis game is great. I love solitaire. The problem is that when you press the stack you get just one card instead of three which is what usually happens in a game of solitaire. I looked at the settings and set it to “draw three” or whatever it’s called and i confirm and all that but it still won’t do it and it makes the game like, SUPER easy! I don’t know if anyone else feels the same way or if it’s just me so yeah whatever but other than that it is ok. ✓ Only 1 Undo, No replay, lots of adsIt’s got thousands of pre generated levels, some are very hard. I like the challenge. I do not like two things: that this app doesn’t allow more than 1 Undo and that there is no “replay” button for a level. Solitaire is a single player game. If I paid you I should get as many undos as I want and restart the level if I want. All of the other apps come standard with these two features. Also this app has a ton of ads. They really want you to buy the premium version, which was okay. Cheap but this app doesn’t have the features that most other solitaire apps do. Would love to see that change in the future! I’ve now started getting ads that pop up in front of the game almost every minute. Also if you want to play the tournaments you can’t put it on airplane because your points won’t get counted. ✓ Privacy issues!!!The app asked permission to search for local network devices. There is absolutely no reason to do that other than to spy on players. Additionally, you literally cannot opt out of targeted ads. If you click the gear icon for preferences to do so, you get directed to a web site that has instructions for blocking surveillance for advertising that do not work. There is no simple toggle within the app. Seriously thinking about uninstalling. I hope Apple cracks down hard on this kind of nonsense. ✓ Hitting the unsolvable wallOverall, there is a lot going well for this version of solitaire that i just decided to buy the ad free version. Always appreciate that Easybrain gives that option. The issue i have with the current build of the game is what feels like an “unavoidable wall” you hit when you’re playing a high score marathon. I get that not all solitaire games end in a solution… but the way the game progresses from stage to stage, youre basically guaranteed to run into and unsolvable stage by stage 3-4. It makes the high score more of a stroke of dumb luck than clever tactics or persistence. Perhaps all stages can be solvable and a limited amount of stage start over option available that allows players to reattempt? Also the single move rewind is basically useless for speed solvers like me. Often the single move back is just a card flip from the main deck..Version: 2.6.0
✓ Automatically ends gameI hate that the game abruptly ends once you move to a spot that causes no plays left. As someone who isn’t a pro I am endlessly stressed that every move I make is going to end the game instantly. I like to learn from my mistakes and it doesn’t let you attempt any more moves and doesn’t let you “inspect” your plays or figure out where you went. It just shuts you out. I appreciate the thought that it’s saving me time not playing a game I already lost but sometimes that’s part of the thrill. Can I move anywhere else? Is there a way I can save myself? ✓ I’ve never written a review before but this app makes me mildly infuriatedThis Solitaire app is the only app on my device that makes it drop frames, heat up, and lag. I play other games where there are tons of graphics and my friends have problems with lag and frames dropping but I have had no problems with those games. It is only this game that really messes with my device. Sometimes, whenever I watch ads (either to get undos, hints, or just because I finished a game of Solitaire), the game freezes or just stops working for no reason. Then I have to restart the app and lose my progress. Now, with this recent update, for some reason the game consistently changes the screen orientation for no reason even though my device has been still. Sometimes it gets stuck like this in a different orientation, has the screen cut off, and I have to restart the app. I don’t know if this is just a problem with my device or the game itself. But otherwise, the app has a clean interface and is overall a fun experience (barring those annoying problems that mess up my progress). ✓ It’s okI purchased this app because I’m a huge fan of Sudoku and Killer Sudoku by this team—all have simple, clean, beautiful interfaces and calming gameplay. However, I gave 3 stars because the app ends the game/streak as soon as there are no more moves left. This makes it a little stressful. I wish there was the option to at least replay the game. So if you’re looking for unending solitaire with the option to choose winning games only or random games (and other options), keep looking lol. ✓ Great app, good design, TOO MANY ADS!!!Honestly this game has the most potential of any solitaire game I’ve played. I get it, developers deserve to get paid for their hard work and users can pay to disable ads. But, the ads in this game are too intrusive, hard to skip, interactive, make sound, and are beyond disruptive, repetitive, and annoying. If the ads were less repetitive or required fewer taps to exit/skip/return to game, then this could be a 5-star app. Is the plan to annoy users into paying? Developer, seriously try playing the game with ads. Is it fun, or do you play a couple rounds and then get annoyed into doing something else? Improve the ad experience and people will play more and end up seeing more ads. Also, don’t make me watch the same ad 10 times in a row. If I wasn’t interested the first 5 times, I’m not clicking on that ad.
