Garmin Golf for Negative User Reviews

Garmin Needs to step up its game!I have used this app for two years. When Garmin decided to take all the golf functions off of Garmin Connect and link them to this app they RUINED it! It is more or less useless since all it does is record your rounds. You can get the same function using the GHIN app and at least that app will give you useful stats such as GIR averages, putts per round etc. This app won’t even give you hole by hole averages even though the data is right in it easily available. This tells me that Garmin couldn’t care less about its golfers using its hardware. I like using my Vivoactive HR for golf and its golf function works well but the app supporting it, this one, is a loser. Step up your game Garmin!.Version: 1.28.6

Stopped workingRecent update has meant that this app will no longer open on my Ipad. Not sure what is going on!.Version: 2.1.1

Very disappointingI was so exited to get a garmin watch but the app doesn’t work with the garmin s10, the one I have The app is now useless and I could only leave 1 star, I would have left 0.Version: 2.2

Won’t connect on phone with Garmin ConnectFor many weeks, everything worked as advertised. Now, When I sync the Garmin Connect phone app with the watch, the data doesn’t transfer to Garmin Golf. I have to wait until I can plug the watch into my laptop and launch Garmin Express to upload golf data. Once uploaded via the laptop, the round will finally appear on the Garmin Golf app. I’ve tried all the suggestions on the Garmin web site but always the same result. The whole point of the Golf app is to be able to see your round right after you finish but I can’t do this when Garmin Connect and Garmin Golf won’t talk to each other..Version: 2.8

Severely DisappointmentI purchased the Garmin R10 launch monitor and this app is the companion to that. First, the device is wildly inaccurate. Definitely NOT worth the money. Any positive review must have been paid for. Second, this app looks to have been designed by a child, and not a very intelligent one. Pretty much all launch monitor software will show you almost all of the important shot data right on the screen, front and center. Not this one. You get three pieces of data. Now, you can choose which three, but come on. Three is a joke. Especially when using an iPad and there is plenty of screen real estate. Garmin falsely advertises that you get to sim courses for free where other launch monitor charge. That’s b.s. You get a one week free trial, then you have to pay. None of which you can do from their app. All there app is, is a launch pad into all the other apps from third parties, aside from the feeble driving range app. That one is all on Garmin’s head..Version: 2.11.1

Getting left behind...GPS on the watch is generally good, but the app is so basic on an iPhone it’s not worth using. No option to switch to google maps and measure distances to hazards that way. Trying to do it on the watch a fiddly and takes too long. On several occasions the app has completely missed holes that I’ve scored using the watch. I can’t go in and edit the scorecard anymore (maybe it’s a software error) so I’ve given up using the app and now use either Golfshot or Hole 19 as it’s better and more reliable The watch screen is so poor quality compared to an Apple Watch, especially in darker light and the colours are so hard to differentiate. As a result, the S40 I have will be going on eBay soon and I will probably go for something like Shotscope v3.Version: 1.29.6

Course update for Craigieburn Golf CourseThe Craigieburn golf course has been modified please update the Garmin app accordingly…. Why is it not up to date?.Version: 2.8

Garmin Golf on S60Used the S60 watch with this app for a few months now. It does the basics but it’s not as good as I expected. Some of the issues: - distance tracking is inconsistent, sometimes the watch doesn’t pick up when I’ve hit a shot - doesn’t detect when shots are hit - the scoring system doesn’t have an option for “sand shots” like other apps do - the Stroke Index for each hole isn’t available Also, accessing your scores and stats on the watch is incredibly limited. And you can’t store more than 1 at a time! These issues mean that you end up referring to your scorecard or other apps for various reasons. A few improvements to be made to make this half decent I’d say....Version: 1.19.2

Half BakedI am surprised this app is rated 4+ stars. The foundation of a good app is there, but the execution is half baked. For this app to really be of use from a shot tracking and playing statistics perspective (which is what will help golfers improve) here are some much needed improvements Garmin should make: - The ability to edit the number of putts - The ability to add custom clubs beyond the stock list (7 wood isn’t even a listed option) - Tracking basic stats like sand shots (see other successful golf tracking apps like GolfShot or The Grint) - Edit shot type (full, punch, chip, etc.) so a 40 yard 4-iron punch shot out of the trees doesn’t impact your average distance and caddy recommendations - Optional satellite images of courses rather than just poorly drawn images Without features like this, the watch is basically just good for GPS. The shot tracking features are all mostly worthless. If that is what you are after, Arccos is a much more refined solution..Version: 1.28.8

No course statsBeen using the g80 for 3 months. Scorecards upload to my iPhone after each round. Also sync to garmin connect on my computer. The garmin golf app shows all score cards and the courses played. I can see each individual stats for each score card but the course stats DO NOT SHOW on the app. I can login to computer garmin connect and see my stats for each course played but I want to see it on the iPhone in the app. I have complained and garmin says they fixed it with the lasted release. NO THEY DID NOT. Also in both the golf app and garmin connect I am unable to get course stats for my playing parters. For the 500 bucks I put out for the g80, consider another manufacturer. Garmin needs to get their programming right if they are going to have those features in their apps and do it timely..Version: 1.26

No iPad native supportIt’s unbelievable that an app like this doesn’t support iPad natively. When pared with my Garmin R10 I want to use on my iPad, not on a small screen. Landscape support is also poorly done. The app could offer more customizations at the UI level. Overall it’s good, provides a lot of useful data. The only problem I see is the unpolished interface..Version: 2.14

S62?Does this app link with the S62 golf watch?.Version: 2.12

Swing and a miss! Zero stars if it allowed it.Couldn’t be more unimpressed with the garmin golf app. I’m not the type to typically write a review about anything. Having said that, this app is soo soo bad, I felt compelled. My father-in-law has raved about his garmin golf watch for years. I finally took the bait and purchased the S62. After setting up the watch and downloading the app AND starting the free trial ahead of the $100 annual fee…I promptly canceled the app after the first round of golf. It syncs with the watch to track your score and that’s honestly about it. The fact that the same GPS distance data isn’t available in the phone/app view is nuts. Compared to golf logix, grint or any other golf app…the garmin app might as well be a score card…actually that’s not a good comparison either. A typical paper score card provides more course Intel than this completely useless app does. If your still reading. This app is absolute trash. …so much so that I’m honestly starting to regret purchasing the watch. Thanks Garmin. Feeling sufficiently bamboozled after this one..Version: 2.11.1

Continual crashingThis app was great until the recent update. The app now crashes around the 5th to 7th hole on different courses I have played. This has also been the case for my playing partners. Please fix this issue!.Version: 2.1.1

Stats and Strokes Gained Needs WorkIt would good if the strokes gained showed up as overall performance to your round like most other apps in terms of total shot impacting your overall score from each element (currently gives you a weird decimal which doesn’t correlate to the real world or 0.33). Also need to advance the app stats feedback like driving accuracy. Currently this is only available on the Garmin watches, which I have, but I would like to look back and review the rounds in the same detail on my phone later..Version: 2.13.1

Scores not uploading from S20 since latest updateScores have stopped being uploaded from Approach S20 to this app since either the last iPad update or watch firmware update. Made this app obsolete for me, since they have also taken the stats out of the Connect app as well. Been reviewing my rounds for years with this but they have been making the experience steadily worse (the connect app gave better data than this app until they removed it). Shame, I would have given 4/5 stars, previously….Version: 1.29.6

Simulator is half bakedBought the approach R10 and set up my indoor simulator setup with projector. The HUGE problem is that the simulator only works in the app. There is no way to use on a computer, there is no option to stream directly to a smart device (Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, etc), and the absolute lowest option isn’t even available either in the fact that you can even put the phone in landscape mode and mirror the phone. The ONLY option is the mirror your phone in VERTICAL mode. So you have a tiny vertical iPhone screen in the middle of your TV or projection when you cast/share your screen to smart devices. These are such basic things to iron out when you spend all this time advertising a simulator. At the very least set up your app for landscape mode! So disappointed..Version: 2.0.2

Not really accurateStarting to realise my Approach S60 is not as accurate as it should be. As much as 15 meters out. Have compared it with my range finder and other players range finders. It’s only good for data collection now. To be honest even that is questionable. For putting stats, what is the length of a short putt, or medium putt, or long? Not good enough for what is paid..Version: 2.0.2

A62 Watch is fantastic. The app is not.It may work better if all clubs had the CT 10 accessories. However, I don’t feel you should need them to be able to get semi-accurate shot statistics. For example, I accidentally put that I hit a 3 wood off the tee. When I went in to look at the round, I noticed that I hit the 3 wood button. I updated that to my driver, but it still shows that drive as the average for my 3 wood. I hit the ball nowhere near the average 3 wood totals in the app. I have several clubs like that now, but Garmin uses your last 10 rounds, so it will be on there for awhile. No way to manually update it. I really wanted the help of this functionality to tell me how far that I’m hitting each club. It isn’t valuable with all the skewed data. Since the CT 10’s connect directly. They would probably help with this, but I’m not ready to spend that kind of money until the app gets a bit better tracking. The watch is fantastic and functional. GPS works great and the features are first rate. I will keep uploading to Garmin Golf just in case it gets better in the future, but at the moment this isn’t helpful..Version: 1.29.6

Below average golf app and trailing other applications advances.I use multiple Garmin golf devices, S62 Golf watch, R10 Launch Monitor and C10 club sensors for in game data collection. There are LOT of opportunities for these product lines to integrate into the Garmin golf app for much better data collection and followup analysis. Other applications such as 18 Birdies and Golf Shot are advancing technology in terms of player performance for game improvement. 1. Strokes gained per round. Garmin Golf doesn't provide that information. It uses averages over 10 rounds. 2. Strokes gained for specific clubs. Garmin Golf bunches shots into Drives, Approach, Chips and Putts instead of strokes gained by club. I would like to know which club or range of clubs I should work on. 3. In round GPS overview using the phone is far far behind the other golf apps. One can't look at distances for possible shots. That information is available on the watch but that can be cumbersome. Additionally, the overlay is a 'cartoon' graphic where other apps use photos with more details. Overall, while I using the multiples Garmin devices where I do like the concept of a centralized app to collect all my data, this application is in need of a complete redesign to keep up with the competitors..Version: 2.14

So much potentialThey have so much potential to compete with the other golf apps, but they’re software execution in the golf space feels like a total afterthought. As a result you get what feels like a bunch of hastily done or half baked features that are kind of “meh”. I’m annoyed by the unrealized potential..Version: 2.9

Concept great, but stopped working. The app used to work really well but over the past 2 months it has refused to download any rounds, rendering it useless. Rounds get lost in the ether. I’ve tried everything but no luck. Time to move on I think..Version: 2.6.1

S12 WatchA friend of mine recommended their Garmin watch to me. They showed me their S10 which has the ability to track your shots. I ended up purchasing the S12 on sale, thinking it was a newer version. I was EXTREMELY disappointed to learn that the newer S12 lacks many of the features such as shot tracking that the S10 has. I should have bought the older version..Version: 2.13.1

Doesn’t Download from WatchI always use my watch (Approach S20) when I play. The course always loads, and I enter shots, putts, fairway hits, and penalties, finish, save the round, and review the stats. However, the round doesn’t always upload to the app on my iPhone. It doesn’t matter if I have the app open on my phone during the round or not. I have revised my rating to downgrade from 3 to 2 stars. I played a round today and used both my watch and the app to log my scores, fairways, and puts. The scorecard is the only thing that shows up. It’s the first time I used the app to record the stats, but still no hole-by-hole shots. I have those from other rounds without using he app. I would not recommend wasting your time with the app since it’s so hit and miss if you’re going to be able to review your round. There are many other apps that are much more reliable..Version: 1.29.6

Time for a redesign! This app is kind of a joke when you compare it to 18 birdies or Golfshot. It’s bad when I’m thinking of going Apple Watch just to use other apps. You guys are going to start losing money if Apple figures out it’s battery. Give us more social features, give us deeper stats to view to make meaningful changes, give us course planning and previews with satellite images as well as cartoon, give us tee time purchasing, make a perfect use between watch and app so we can use both effectively on the course, really just get your golf guys out and using Golfshot and 18 birdies and then get in and redo this app. Your watches are great and the golf apps on the watches themselves are working but this app on the phone is junk. I mean your main screen is just a picture with a start round button. Really?? Come on Garmin you can do better..Version: 2.14.1

Love this app, please include a Left Handed user settingI love this app with the Garmin Approach R10, comes with tons of golf courses including tiny municipal courses and executive courses. The interface is great, this should be a 5 star review, HOWEVER…. There is no left handed support at all in this app. I am using with a ball flight tracker to improve my swing mechanics but I have to mirror all of the visual data in my head. I’m sure the interpretation of the ball flight data is favored towards accuracy of right handed shots, and I’m ok with that, but the user interface visuals should be easy to add (literally just mirror the images) and I am sure the left handed community would greatly appreciate it! Hopefully this happens at some point then I will be happy to change to 5*.Version: 2.1

Garmin GolfNot working anymore after latest update. Just frozen screen title page.Version: 2.3

Good app but remove for a lot of improvementNeed to add stableford points system! Mapping seems a little off for my home course when I go back and review my round after using my Garmin Approach S20 watch. Stats don’t seem accurate at all but again that seems to be an accurate mapping issue. Would be good if you could add the amount of putts in which would help with stats.Version: 1.14

GlitchyI like the app and will give 5 stars once this glitch is addressed. I’ve had my Approach 20s for two weeks now and have played around 10 rounds with it. I’ve enjoyed the watch and app when they’ve worked together. However, my last 3 rounds, while saved in the watch, did not migrate to the GGolf app. First of all, I’d like to see my score from yesterday as I didn’t keep it on a card. At this point that whole round is gone. Secondly, I’d like to see where I need to improve. A handy feature when the watch and app work well together. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app. I’ve turned the watch off/on. Disconnected reconnected the Bluetooth. Disconnected reconnected the Garmin connect app. Tried syncing both GGarmin and GConnect app to watch several times. I get notifications from phone to watch. I see my steps and “activity”. It’s only the scorecard that doesn’t sync. Without that it makes the watch good for distances only. Which is not worth it. Please fix this issue!.Version: 1.28.8

Need iPad VersionReally disappointed that this app isn’t offered in an iPad version..Version: 2.12

Good app for R10 but could be betterLove the app and practice range while using my R10. Pretty accurate throughout my bag. The app gives loads of data, however something that could make this app 5 stars is the ability export this data to Excel or Jmp. I’m a data guy, and a lot of the people that would put that kind of money out for an R10, are probably data guys as well, that would like to perform data analysis to create metrics and trends to improve their game. Otherwise this is a pretty good app, but could be better..Version: 2.8

Serious problem for shot trackingI have been using this app along with my s42 and T10 for than 6 months. So, when it works it’s fine. But, I can’t never get by not editing every round I played. It’s impossible and It’s very FRUSTRATING when it miss track which shot is played at which hole. I often need to spend nearly an hour edit it if only it is allowed. Every once a while it will record all the shots from two or three holes I played in one. So I will have 10+ shots recorded in one hole, and there is not a single way I can change those shots that’s miss recorded to the correct one. They have the gps coordinates why can’t I’ll it just let me move it to the other hole??? The miss shots diluted statistic so I will have to exclude the whole round from the data. I just wish they can add a few more features in the post round edit. I am pretty sure many people have experience the exact same thing I have and they would definitely appreciate it. Anyway, I don’t even know if they read this stuff. I hope some day they will get to it…...Version: 2.8

The latest upgrade has regressionsI like the app. But the latest update created a big inconvenience. The functionalities added are fantastic though the UX change is questionable. Now we cannot swipe left and right to change data screens in driving range sessions - we must click on a button then select the screen to look at. This is a horrible change, feels like going back to the 1990s in terms of usability. Please fix this..Version: 2.7

Not enough we buy your device?!Greedy!🤑🤮.Version: 2.11.1

Shot tracker not displayingI just changed from Fenix 5x to Fenix 6x Pro. I’ve played two rounds with the new 6x and recorded my round and saved. All I get is a scorecard. With the 5x I got individual shot tracking displayed in Garmin Golf and was able to edit shots and add club data. The app had been excellent until I changed but now it’s no more effective than a pencil and paper scorecard..Version: 1.29

New update has issuesLoved the app but new update has bugs. Course front 9 and back 9 are around wrong way. Shot tracker on map no longer working. Very frustrating as won’t work into stats from previous rounds to compare..Version: 2.1.1

Would be nice if …Really great app and I find it invaluable in letting me know my club average distances. But, after a while some figures can get distorted by bad reads leaving you with putter distances of 400+ yards!? Can a reset option be added for clubs in my bag. Per club would be perfect and/or the option to break down over a select number of rounds! On some courses the green sizes are not picked up, which means even though I have hit the green in regulation it’s not recorded. If I try to move the shot onto the green it says I cannot add putts. Which then means my figures are not a true reflection..Version: 2.12.2

Okay but they don’t appear to update course dataI submitted updated score cards months ago and despite acknowledging it, they’ve still not made the really simple change required. No map updates were needed. I did the same for Arcoss and they made the updates within days. Worth bearing in mind when purchasing expensive devices that their ongoing support is poor..Version: 2.11.1

Don’t waste your time on the R10Absolutely horrible device. Have been using for 3 months and has turned into me almost using it as a golf ball. Results are incredibly inaccurate and inconsistent if it even picks up a shot. Would leave 0 stars for review if it was possible..Version: 2.10.1

Stops Working. Freezes upNot sure why but after 8 holes the App freezes and stops working..Version: 2.1.1

Update to Connect removed statisticsVery disappointed at the latest update, which removed from the Connect app all the hole by hole statistics that were highly valuable. The statistics in the Garmin Golf app are aggregate only and so are of minimal use.Version: 1.28.5

A few improvements would be niceGood overall app, what you’d expect from Garmin, couple of small things letting it down. 1. I’d like to be able to add and change my handicap in the app so I could see my net score. (Or link to the My England golf app handicap) 2. After I’ve forgotten to mark my score on a hole until after my next tee shot (if that next tee shot is a par 3 and I hit the green) I am unable to add a shot later on in the app as technically no shots were recorded on that hole. It wound be nice to add that option. 3. The club stats could include dispersion ↖️⬆️↗️..Version: 1.29.6

Won’t allow downloadIt won’t even let me download the app.Version: 2.6.1

Useless. Does not map shots accuratelyI have a Garmin Venu. I bought this $400 watch instead of a cheaper Fitbit because I loved the golf features. Except that the golf app is horrible. It shows all my shots, and even the flag, as being behind and way to the right on the map. I’m a bad golfer but not that bad. I cannot even see what my drive distances are because the tee where the distance is shown is off the screen. You cannot zoom in/out, feels like a 2007 app. Btw, I reached out to support twice about the issue, never got a response. I have deleted and redownloaded both the connect and golf apps multiple times. I cleared the golf course cache on connect. Nothing has helped. If I could return the watch and get arccos instead I would..Version: 1.28.5

Terrible UX for r10You have to click into each swing when reviewing driving range stats, then switch to the data panel you want. Would be much better if you pick your data display screen and swipe through each swing, or default to the last data panel and open it up first when clicking into a swing. Makes it a chore to click 3 times to switch between data for each swing. User experience for the app is so bad, that im likely to return the device. Also noise from other golfers at the driving range, and varying distance between the ball and device missed nearly 1/3 of the swings i attempted to record..Version: 2.12

Problems using Fenix 5x with thisFrequently my golf scorecards don’t load into Garmin Golf for no explicable reason even through the activities show up in Garmin Connect. I use a Garmin Fenix 5x watch. Contacted Garmin support and they could not help..Version: 2.12.2

Cool app but needs more features for the cost of the watchI switched from an Apple Watch to the Garmin family. The golf app is lacking and competition is catching up and utltize the Apple Watch as a input! The animation of the course is very unwellming. Scoring is pretty easy from Tee to Green but entering putts can only be done post round on the app! I like to review the performance data post round for areas for improvement! I would like to see more data by Par 3, Par 4, and Par 5s. I really wish Garmin would connect to the GRINT or other scoring and tracking apps to easily input scores and performance stats. I will say the Garmin watch is an upgrade over the accross inserts in every club! Don’t plan on putting inserts in my putter and wedges!.Version: 2.0.2

Freezing mid-roundGet between 4-10 holes before it freezes. Haven’t been able to keep stats in more than a month.Version: 2.1.1

Lack of ability to download data or i put putts/holeI can’t download my stats to figure out things like , how often do I 3 putt ? I also can’t input Pitt locations or the hole location to measure putting stats like make % at different distances.Version: 2.10

Bugs need to be fixedReally useful out on the course using a Vivoactive 3 for yardages, hazards, score recording etc. However, there is an intermittent problem where at the conclusion of the round it uploads to Garmin Connect but then scorecards don’t upload to Garmin Golf to be able to look back over each hole and the yardages of shots etc. This can be fixed by connecting to Garmin Express on a computer but that’s a faff and means you can’t look back at the round in the club house etc. Seems the problem has been around for years and Garmin just can’t or won’t fix it..Version: 1.29.6

No real use for S60I’ve tried several times to find some use for this app over the years since it was first introduced but end up deleting it every time and am about to do so again. Having Bluetooth enabled on my S60 watch while playing is a futile affair as it is constantly receiving and displaying messages that obscure the critical golf information I need in that moment. In addition the information it actually gives as an app is far less comprehensive or helpful than that displayed on the Mac. So having tried once again to see if it’s improved I’m reverting to simply using the Mac versions of both Connect and Golf..Version: 1.28.5

Was good, now not.First 5 or 6 rounds - absolutely great. Didn’t miss any shots and when I was on the green - prompted me to input putt number and then onto the next hole. Now, just stays on the green overview when on the green - doesn’t pick up putts at all and I have to come back out of the page and into scorecard, select the hole and input scores manually - really annoying this has started. Have written to retailer so hopefully get an exchange. Also - a really annoying feature is not being able to see your gross strokes per hole when you’ve selected stableford scoring. Yes you can pretty much work it out but would be nice to know total scores (for example if you shoot 7, it just gives no score) - not great when you’re trying to track improvements on strokes over a whole game but using stableford while playing with friends that day. So close, yet so far for me..Version: 1.29.6

UselessIt’s fine when it functions, but far too often it won’t even launch. Another broken update. Maybe test it a bit before you release it?.Version: 2.1

App stats and club tracking is poorFor me the watch is great and the tags work well. The issue for me is the golf app is really poor for what is one of the most expensive systems on the market. The tracking of clubs is way out because it counts shots you do around the green with irons, lots of chips with an 8i 9i etc, it shouldn’t count these as it messes up the distance for a normal shot. The card at the end of the round does not give you much info, would be nice to have total for hole, Stableford points, puts etc. not a lot to ask? Your handicap doesn’t adjust to the course rating. The stat center is poorly laid out and doesn’t really give you clear stats, on putting numbers, left or right off the tea etc. When you go to score card and below this you have each hole that you can click on to give an overview, the number of shots on the right doesn’t give you total for the hole just a number of shots with no puts, surely this should say what your total was for that hole. Virtual caddy very really gives me the correct club, this may be because my tracking for 7i-pw is not accurate. Anyway just some of my disappointment with the software because the watch is great, just needs an update on the software..Version: 2.11.1

Won’t open after latest updateWon’t open after latest update.Version: 1.29

Jan 2023 update no goodPan and zoom works but the default hole map is TINY and there’s no ability to “move shot location” (the option can be selected but then it actually can’t be done). Previous version was absolutely fine - this update is wildly unnecessary and far less user friendly. Hopefully the bugs get ironed out but GARMIN aren’t known for their good customer service..Version: 2.11

What a tease! When I got my s60 a couple months ago and started using the app I could add/delete shots to my scorecard when the round ended. Then after a recent update they removed this feature from the app but you can do it on the website. Also now when you delete shots that assigned to the wrong hole, it removes that hole from the scorecard for editing. The score and stats for the hole is there but you just can't view that hole anymore. Does this on both the website and the app. Also wish it would show all your clubs and the average distance like the website does..Version: 1.13

Keeps signing me outEvery other week I have to re-login to this stupid app. Really frustrating. Also right after a round, for some reason it takes a while before you can see the hole-by-hole statistics.Version: 2.14.1

Could be the best, but isn’t.If Garmin were interested their set up of watches and app could be far and away the best on the market for golfers. As it is, the data collection and presentation is really poor, missing glaringly obvious improvements in what it records, how it presents it and the quality of analysis. It’s all there when they can be bothered to take it seriously! Then they will be head and shoulders better. As of now - it’s below average compared to other options..Version: 2.16

Good start, but missing some key featuresGot my Garmin s42 and was really excited to start playing with it. The watch works great and although it takes some time getting used to - it really works well to make scorekeeping and distance finding easier. My main critique is on the app - the main points I feel are missing: 1) the app should show you where you’re on the course during your round. It helps visualize what’s around and seems fairly basic since both the watch and app have gps. Sometimes going to the phone helps dial the distance a bit to a hazard. 2) The strokes gained high level trend statistics are ok, but I really want to know how I’m performing on a hole by hole basis. Maybe add the stat of strokes gained on the summary section when reviewing my post game shots?.Version: 2.13.1

Lost driver distanceWhen I got my watch it measured my drive distance in golf. After about 3 weeks this feature was lost. I tried everything to fix this but no success. Spoke to an idiot at Garmin who had no idea what he was talking about and suggested it was the angle I was coming at the ball that was causing the problem. My brother bought the same watch Garmin Vivoactive 3 and his did exactly the same thing. What is the point in having a golf feature that only works for 3 weeks?.Version: 2.11.1

Impossible de se connecterDepuis septembre, l’application est très lente et ne me permet pas d’enregistrer mes parties de golf. Aujourd’hui, j’ai essayé de me connecter. Impossible?!!?!.Version: 2.1.1

Not really an improvementDoes not seem to improve things at all. No longer has the Long Drive function.Version: 1.11

Garmin should step upGarmin S62. Watch has great potential, but software limitations make it a not-so-great gadget. Both the watch and the app should add many more things; and not necessarily complex things: watch should count shots in the main screen, for example. App should be way more intuitive, it’s archaic, and unless you go very deep into stats, you don’t really find anything easily. You should even be able to send good information over email with a detailed report for example… Also, only using stats based on last 10 rounds is very very poor. There is no long-term improvement evolution with this setup..Version: 2.5

Needs different game optionsIt is a relatively good and uncomplicated app. What would stop most golfers I’ve spoken to from going to another app is the option to select other round types. For example Stableford, probably more common than stroke for most golfers. Would love to see this on an update. Mitch.Version: 1.21.1

Leaves a lot to be desiredI love my garmin watch. Great for tracking shots and yardages. The app does not match up unfortunately. I use the premium version of hole 19 and have used golfshot in the past. Both apps are way better for tracking and displaying stats. The garmin app is not very user friendly and the layout is awkward. I’d gladly pay an annual fee to have an app of similar quality to the ones I mentioned above. Love the watch, app needs an overhaul.Version: 2.6.1

Scorecard enhancementsIt would be awesome if scorecards included distance and stroke index..Version: 2.12

Keeps crashing after latest update. Was working perfectly until latest update to 2.3 and now won’t open. IOS 15.3 installed and no difference……..otherwise has been a great app..Version: 2.3

DistanceMy distance seems to under read 12 yards on each hole compared to other Garmin watches.Version: 2.13.1

Need landscape mode supportApp works well with R10 unit but lack of landscape mode prevent me from projecting the golf courses and driving range into the screen. This feature is definitely needed in order for me to justify monthly subscription of other features..Version: 2.1.1

Good but could be better.I would love to use this as my sole GPS app as I have a garmin vivoactive 3. But it’s just not quite as good as other apps out there. A couple of suggestions: 1. When you choose a round to “exclude scorecard from stats” this should also exclude it from “club performance” (or give a second option on the scorecard to keep club performance stats) 2. Deleted rounds should not be included in club performance stats 3. Add GIR % to “Performance stats” 4. Add average PPH (or putts per round) to “performance stats”.Version: 1.28.1
