Jaipur: the board game for Positive User Reviews

Jaipur how I adore theeThis is a solid port of a great card game! New content has been added that keeps the game alive and interesting for solo players. The artwork reflects the spirit of the IRL card game..Version: 1.4.1

Like tabletopSame quality as tabletop, even have a few extra rules to keep the game fun in campaign mode. Pace is okay, but the character that tells you you've lost the game stays on the screen for what looks like an eternity. Cannot touch the character to skip so it Becomes irritating, almost intolerable, when trying to beat a specific level 20 times..Version: 1.0.1

Fantastic campaign! The campaign makes the game very, very fun to play. Only slight downturn is that it's hard to distinguish where you established monopolies or not: so hard that i wonder if i imagine a slight difference in colour tone or not? That being said: buy the game, you won't regret!.Version: 1.4.1

Campaign Mode thoroughly enjoyableGreat little two player card game. Light but with enough tactical choices to make it interesting. The campaign mode really makes this a worthwhile purchase even if you own a physical copy as it adds plenty of variants and change ups. I found it thoroughly engrossing and was hooked until I taken control of the whole map!.Version: 1.4.1

One of the best!I hope this game sticks around for a long time because it’s just perfect. Complex enough to be endlessly strategic while being simple enough not to be overwhelming. Great and colorful graphics as well..Version: 1.4.5

Great game.I really love this game but I cannot win on any of the hard parts of the map. I don’t know if this is down to my gameplay or if it’s an impossible task? Has anyone else managed it? It would be good if you could spend your coins on something other than gaining new territory to trade in, my coins are mounting up, but I can’t open up new territory as I can’t beat the hard territories..Version: 1.4.1

Great implementationI only played the offline mode, but this is a really nice implementation of the game, which includes a single player campaign mode. The game itself is about matching card sets to buy goods - goods change in value as they are purchased and some goods are worth more than others. In the campaign game the rules are adjusted to vary the challenge..Version: 1.3

Odd resolution issuesGreat game, but some of the graphics are weirdly low resolution while other things are very sharp. Strange..Version: 1.2

Fun game, beautiful art, enjoyable campaignI think I like the art on the app better than the board game art. Very fun. Personally I haven't had any trouble exiting a game and coming back to it later (I've only done campaign mode.) Works fine on phone, although it does take a chunk of storage and significant battery power to play, that's less of a problem on iPad. I love the variations on the rules in campaign mode and the side stories. I read some of the less positive reviews and apart from acknowledging a few bugs I didn't have any serious problems. I found the hard AIs harder but definitely not unbeatable. You can get a lot of satisfying play out of the game..Version: 1.4.1

Love the game but it could use a couple enhancementsThis game is very fun, the interactive tutorial is great, and the interface for playing the game is easy to use! Kudos to the developers. My biggest complaint is that you cannot close the app and continue a Pass and Play game later. As soon as the app closes, you need to start a brand new game over when playing with another person. Unfortunately the app just recently froze on us (which rarely ever happens), so we lost our 10 minutes of progress into the game..Version: 1.4.5

All fixedGame appears to be fixed with today’s update (March 2019). Only quibble is lack of Game Center to allow campaign to be transferred between devices. Otherwise, an excellent addition to your library..Version: 1.4.5

Great gameGreat game, however the only issue we have, we have now lost the ability to see our cards! It was ok yesterday. But other than that...fantastic game.Version: 1.0.1

Great appJust like the card game but you can play one player 😊.Version: 1.0.1

ExcellentI wish all digital board game versions were done this well. Great graphics, thematic music, and a smooth and intuitive interface. There’s even a single player story mode. Love it. Keep up the good work..Version: 1.4.5

My new favourite adaptation of a great gameLoving this!.Version: 1.0.1

The most elegant pass and play mechanism!Love it!.Version: 1.0.1

Love itPlease make it full screen on iPhone X and above..Version: 1.4.5

Card funJaipur: A Game of Duels (Jaipur) is a polished port of an older card game with additional parts (currency). It is a product of its time (2008?): quick to pick up and offering tension around a few card suits of varying and fluid value. I very much like this genre, but it is hard to make a case for a relatively simple card game given the potential of iDevice handling greater board game depth. Maybe the children will dive on it?.Version: 1.3

Great!Very good execution of the cards game. The campaign addition is nice too!.Version: 1.0.1

Very funThis game is very fun. I haven’t had any issues with the game freezing or crashing..Version: 1.4.5

Try againI skipped over this game originally because of some of the comments and I don’t think it was ready. I picked it up again about a month ago and my wife and I have been playing it a lot. Can you please exactly like the physical game it is much easier to reset! I found no issues at all and it said many times now..Version: 1.4.5

Well thought outReally fun, easy to play. Love the different modes. Husband and I have just been sitting in pub playing pass and play!.Version: 1.0.1

Game crashes on ipad air 2 randomlyHappened twice during the campaign.. please fix. Otherwise excellent implementation. Variable rules in the campaign is awesome for single player..Version: 1.4.1

Recent fixed restored the game to its glory! An engaging strategy card game with layers of depth. The Campaign Mode adds a good measure of variety which keeps the game interesting and fun. The game also had variable difficulties which range from easy to quite challenging, with a good mix of both..Version: 1.4.1

The till doesn’t chop yer hands offLike an episode of open all hours, I’ve got everything from 100% unofficial designer t shirts to 300k gold Michael Kors earrings. A trading game set in India with you trying to make as much wonga as possible before cards or money runs out. The game itself is simple and can eat a bit of time (if thats what you are after.... certainly your camels will if you don’t). I’ve played this for 3 days so far and start to see a bit of a routine to this , that’s not to say I think it’s monotonous it’s still enjoyable. I hope they bring out a expansion for all those flipping camels I end up with at they end of the game..Version: 1.4.5

Perfect TransitionThis game is a perfect conversion from its physical card origins to the digital app. The varying difficulty settings and the Indian music are brilliant additions to this easy to grasp and fun game..Version: 1.3

As Good as it Can BeEdit: Well darn. After a day or so I get the complaints. This app needs an update. It crashes fairly easily when trying to move between apps during a game. Don’t really understand the lower score here. Jaipur is a fantastic simple card game and this digital implementation is as good as I could ask. They even made a campaign mode, which was a nice extra. Definitely recommend the app and especially the physical game itself..Version: 1.4.1

Jaipur rocks! We love this game! I play it nearly every day. The kids love it too. It has none of the aggressive marketing that some annoying kids' apps have. It's quite a relaxing strategy game. You can also play a game with others by passing the device between players - great for road trips!.Version: 1.4.5

My favourite game everI love the campaign, although the leather and tea mode is a bit tedious. I must have done it a 100 times by now. Just deleting the app to restart it again..Version: 1.4.5

GreatSolid game , zero bugs in close to 100 matches played multiplayer. Solid game.Version: 1.4.5

FantasticThis app is a fantastic implementation of the game Jaipur. The campaign mode offers hours of fun considering Jaipur is a small card game. Highly recommend this game..Version: 1.0

Brilliant gameThis game is so good that I bought the real version which my wife and I love to play..Version: 1.4.1

Great game but has a few bugsGreat game but doesn't save game when closed, 2 player version doesn't show points and closes sometimes which means we have to start a new game. Please fix these bugs!.Version: 1.0.1

Better than expected! As a big fan of the physical game, the low app ratings deterred me initially. Happily, I overcame my trepidation and was rewarded with a beautiful, faithful, feature-rich digital experience. The campaign took roughly 25 hours for me to complete. While certainly challenging it was never repetitive. Several gameplay variants, characters, and quests engaged me as a player. Even on my tiny 4.7in screen the Dutrait art shines. The music, backgrounds, and sound effects are all immersing. Animations do not hinder or distract from gameplay. Disappointing that as of this review the rating is below 3 stars. The app is cheaper and better than its real life counterpart product..Version: 1.4.5
