✓ Spend 15 on Pepsi product and lays and get 5 $offI received this coupon and when I went to buy with this coupon, it didn’t show up at the store. ✓ Not liking the updateUnlike many commenters the app actually works for me. I don’t like the update and I feel the previous version was more user friendly. I don’t like that clipped coupons are no longer separated from new/unclipped coupons. I’ve discovered by scrolling that sometimes unclipped coupons are mixed with those that have already been clipped. If I assumed the new coupons were all at the top I would miss the coupons mixed in below. Thus far I haven’t found a way to show only unclipped coupons. The notifications for new ads and messages is a bit annoying; would rather be notified of new coupons and spins. Oh! And the spins... okay it looks pretty but is it really necessary to have all the animations when the spin happens and then you have to wait until the animations are complete to clip the coupon? The previous version was simple and user friendly and although I’m not a senior, I’m not sure this is senior friendly..TijatVersion: 4.0.1

✓ Coupons don’t always attachI have had this app for about a month and a half and I love the digital coupons available along with the store $5 off $25 coupons, but, I’ve had issues with coupons not attaching with the identical product, thus overspending from what I had originally planned. Pleeeassseee fix that! I’ve been in the store scanning items to make sure they attach and they did before the purchase; but once I took it to then register; they did not. You also need a price checker available on the app; it makes it so much easier to see what the true price is, especially with clearance tagged items..Meli_beeVersion: 3.4.2

✓ Needs improvement.I got the app and it nice but it doesn’t let me search for items in their store it just basically a coupon app where is tells you wants on sale. I have the dollar general dollar and I can search for any item, example if I need cat food. I type in cat food it gives me all the brands they cover and then under each brand of a coupon Exists it’s attached to that selection so you don’t have to search the entire list of coupons. If you can fix this problem I would change my ratings to 5 start. But unfortunately this app doesn’t help me because I just don’t have the time to sit and look through every coupon for the things I need. Thanks for the app I hope you can change it. ✓ No SKUA few little tweaks and this app would be great. SKU numbers in the item description (since many products look so similar (I’m looking at you toothpaste and mouthwash). Also if the search bar was more user friendly, like typing in a general search (not brand specific), and having all the choices populate… Updated review….Changed my mind, it is actually pretty useless. I go to multiple stores, and cannot figure out how to get rid of the one it decided is my “home” store. I literally just want to find out if a certain store opens at 8 or 9. When I search for it on the map, it only shows my “home” in the results, despite being in a different state, and easily 30 miles away!.BillybobjoebobjeffVersion: 4.15.2

✓ Store ManagerOne day the store manager didn’t know how to work the app in a iPhone. Lost the clipping and told me she couldn’t do anything about it. She stated the customers are never right. She stated she didn’t care who I called she wasn’t going to honor the mistake she made. So with that being said. I have to drive additional 25 mins to go to the store I have always went to since I was 4. I’m very disappointed in the store in Opelika Alabama. The manager name is Fre. She also called her “General Manager” Stacy (I think) that was locates in church to verify that customers are not right and family dollar or any can’t correct the issue. I’ve been in customer service since I were 15 and never have I told an customer their wrong. I was saddened at the training this Manager showed. She told me disrespectful remarks. ✓ Family dollarThe app has been ok so far however my local store needs to get it together. I went in today ready to spend my coupons I wanted to get some right guard deodorant but of course all they had we the 2 packs and even though the app said it would work with my coupon the store employee wouldn’t let me use it because it would make the item free. I also wanted to get the bic razors the had them on sale for $2.50 I had a $3 off any 1 bic razor when the cashier ran it up it was coming up $3.50 so after about a 15 minute debate with this woman I was finally able to get my razors for an out of pocket cost of .18 she had to fix the price from $3.50 to $2.50 and she still made rude comments. I will not be going back to my local family dollar. If I find a good deal I may travel to another family dollar location but I think I will stick with Walgreens for the most part there coupons and employees are awesome and always make me feel welcomed..Click1987Version: 3.4.3

✓ Family dollar feed backThe Family dollar in Adairsville Ga. is amazing! Those ladies are wonderful, they are always willing to go out of their way to help you find things and they ALWAYS have a kind word to say!!! That is why I will drive 35-40 min out of my way and drive past the family dollar in my own town to go there. However, the family dollar in Cartersville has the rudest staff of people I have ever encountered. And the worst one is the person you hired to represent your company. Beth and I have had several encounters that have been less than civil!! She has accused me directly in front of other customers of try to return items that did not belong to your store, when in fact I had proof of my purchase, but I did grab the wrong item out of my car, I just needed to switch them and she would have seen my mistake and HERS! But instead she was yelling and making a seen and told me and my 5yr old child that we”better NEVER” come back in her store and she was calling ALL the stores around the area to warn them about me. This is not the only bad incident or encounter we have had with her, I have called and emailed your corporate more than once and NEVER once did I get a response. So now if there is anything I really want or need from your store I will drive to the Adairsville store..JZ in cartersvilleVersion: 3.1.0

✓ Need produce!The store is the only store close by my house, (I live in a rural area), so this is a convenient spot for me to get things that I need. However, usually the things I need the most frequently are fresh produce (since they go bad quickly). The items that Dollar General sells are all canned and shelf items- things that last a long time. So I don’t usually have a need to come here. Produce items are the items I have to buy frequently, and if I’m going to drive all the way into town to buy produce, then I will buy all my other groceries there at the same place. If Dollar General starts selling produce, I will go there all the time, and it will be my main place to buy groceries. But for now, I hardly ever go there..EvilzombiebirdVersion: 4.12.0

✓ Better, but not great!If I was to compare this app to say Dollar General it’s nowhere near where it needs to be. The totals in your cart don’t add it up for you so when you are planning a Saturday trip it makes it annoying to have to exit out of the app a million times to use my calculator to add everything up and subtract coupons. Makes it way more complicated than it needs to be. Also when it comes to the options from in store vs the options in the app it gives you is not accurate whatsoever. This being said it makes my trip to the store for Saturday more annoying because I have to type out an extra item. For example: I want to add 2 febreze sprays to my list but it won’t let me do a quantity of two so I therefore have to type out “febreze” and try to remember that I have a coupon trying to attach to those items because that also doesn’t not show in the cart or “list” Makes it really annoying and frankly want to exit the app all together and just go back to an easier navigating site like DG to not have all of this fuss.. ✓ How is store open?LOVE THE FD APP👍 Unfortunately I may have no use for it soon. I understand good help is hard to find. However, the store in Pittsfield, MA makes that statement more true than its ever been. If you’re lucky you may find what you’re looking for in a box in the aisle because the shelves are pretty bare leaving only the generic items that no one buys. The boxes of shipment around the store are never ending. I don’t understand why this keeps happening because it does. I love Family Dollar and get my taxables for the month at this store so I’ve seen it at its worst, improve with new management, go downhill again, and here we are back at its worst! You should bring a trained team in to get this store in shape, train the proper employees the correct way and give this store a chance it so needs and deserves. ✓ Decent App but Actual Store not as goodJust left the Ayer Family Dollar Store and our visit was very disappointing. The whole store is in complete disarray with the wrong prices and discounts displayed. For an example there were 40% off bathroom products signs all throughout the store. They didn’t honor any of the price’s, stating that the bathroom products were not on sale. Also a HUGE slogan of theirs is $5 off $25 which was showing in the store along with the app. They would not honor that discount either saying that they haven’t had that deal in a long time and it was only for about a week or so. I don’t believe that because it’s still on the app. They won’t scan any barcodes on the Family Dollar App saying that’s what they’re told not to do so. Overall poor attitudes bad customer service and and very very poor customer service remedies. ✓ Vicki the stare down clerkI’m not really happy with the customer service that Vicki ( cashier) gives to many of family dollar/ dollar tree’s customers. It’s been many occasions where I have came into the store and She simply refuses to serve me . I understand that you have the right to refuse service to unruly people and or rude customers, but just not want to service a person for no apparent reason feels somewhat WRONG. The last time she did service me was over 4 months ago and she sneezed into her hands and of course I said bless you , but when she went to grab my merchandise I asked her kindly to use a bit of hand sanitizer and she got very belligerent about it and dropped my change on the counter and had an odd stare down with me . I left my change on the counter and attempted to report her to the store manager, which quite frankly went into one ear and out of the other. I feel a bit awkward coming to this store now knowing that she always calls someone else up to service me . Even if it’s a line she rings the bell and makes other customers wait . I come to this location because it’s convenient for myself. I shouldn’t have to feel embarrassed or anything when spending my money in the family dollar location. She’s an employee not the owner. ✓ Inconsistent & jips your coupon amountsI’m only giving 2 stars due to the fact that the digital coupon that I clipped on the app was not given to me at full face value when I purchased the required quantity of the items listed on the coupon. For example, I had $1 off coupon on canned cat food, but only received $.60 off when I checked out...which basically was just a free can of cat food. The cashier at the store could do nothing to correct it or take the additional amount off of my total because it was a digital coupon downloaded on the app. Had I known that, I would have shopped somewhere else that the cat food was a lot cheaper by the can on a daily basis & saved more than just $.60 on the quantity that I purchased. ✓ App is a work in progress.Positives are: Great to have your savings barcode to scan and a list of clipped coupons in “wallet” button. It’s nice and easy using coupons. They automatically come off total if previously scanned. The digital flyer is great to brows if you didn’t get one in the mail, It’s fairly easy to navigate searching for items or browsing. It’s great after clipping coupon I can scan items and indicates if product applies to specific coupon. Mostly* ** My main con The reason for 2.5 stars and something that seriously needs worked, the scan button is horrible. When I have been in person, in store, I e scanned the item to see price. ✓ App is great most of the timeDon’t know if this is a problem with the app or an issue with the coupon system. I use the $5 off on $25 frequently, however, a few of times in recent weeks, Family Dollar notifies me via email or app notifications that the $5 off $25 coupon is available, but when I go to the app it either isn’t there, or like this week, it was there but clicking on it results in failure to clip coupon. Then today, Saturday. 11-26, it disappeared completely. I did try and clip a different coupon that was successful, and there was about 6 coupons automatically clipped that I didn’t ask for. If you don’t want to offer the $5 off $25 for that Saturday, then don’t offer it and then yank it away. Makes you look ridiculous. If you offer that coupon, I will shop with you that Saturday. ✓ Wish It Had A Shopping ListI enjoy using the Family Dollar app, but when I plan my shopping trip, it would be nice if I could create a shopping list in the app, and use it when I shop. Right now, I have to use pencil and paper to write down the items listed in the ad that I want to purchase, and use that while I shop. Having a shopping list built into the app would make shopping, finding items and using coupons a lot easier, because I don’t have to juggle my phone and the shopping list. ✓ Worst customer service and managementI love shopping at family dollar but the location I went to today always has the worst customer service ever the employees are always on their personal phones talking about their personal situations no one is ever working doing whatever they want. I went in and had some coupons which the worker said he applied to my purchases when I loaded up my car and looked at the receipt I noticed he did not so I went back in to talk to the guy and he had no clue what I was talking about there was another employee who was super nice trying to explain to him on how to do everything and he paid no mind and didn’t care and told the manager to come take a look the manager did not care he was standing to the side on his cell phone talking about personal business and just told the guy I had to go get everything from my car and return it because they couldn’t give me the discount from the coupons and walked away continuing his conversation on the phone I told them to return my items and I was no longer interested in giving them my business or money anymore. I work in retail as well and know we have to do anything it takes to resolve a issue and not be on personal calls during working hours especially as a manager. ✓ Great app but...I do like this app, it’s easy to use and to match up coupons to the products they will apply to. The only disappointment is in-store pricing. Until you are in the store looking at the listed price there is no way to find the price of an item. Not even on the Family Dollar website can you see the price of an item unless it is listed on the ad. This has prevented me from going to this store more often and using the $5 off $25 coupon. It would be much more beneficial to see the price and plan my shopping trips ahead of time. Having to wonder around the store and hope the prices are correct at the register makes the app only useful to see if coupons are available. ✓ Saves someAT FIRST, I had given this app 5 stars. However, now I am noticing issues for example I scanned every arm and hammer liquid detergent the store had to see if it would match my coupon and it said t wasn’t compatible. I tried every size and scent and IT WOULD NOT WORK. I double checked everything looked through all fine print and it wouldn’t work. The store is often misleading about what it has on coupon sale. It says this week we could get gain dryer sheets for a final price of 95 cents with app coupon so I go and look and there is no coupon for that but it’s advertised in the flyer for this week. I may just have to go back to Walmart if this keeps up. I loved the app but if I’m not saving money anymore there is no point. Sorry Family Dollar, DO BETTER PLEASE!!!! ✓ Please add prices and possibly a list featureI love shopping at family dollar! Especially using the digital coupons , just about everything about this app is perfect except for the fact it doesn’t tell you your item price when you scan an item! I throughly enjoy the item qualified or not feature, but adding prices to scan while we are in there for items that we just want an not couponing for would be AMAZING!! ✓ Smart Spins no longer worksNot to be a knock-off dollar store Karen but smart spins no longer works as of at some point since the last update - while I realize the smart spin coupons are mostly for change amounts off absolute garbage products, every so many spins there tends to be a decent one of which the clipping and redemption are worthwhile. As an avid Family Dollar stopper-at-ter such a fluke is inconvenient, not to mention a considerable disappointment for a bargain thrill-seeker such as myself. In consideration that smart spins may be spun ONLY on the app - and NOT on the website - the inconvenience is insurmountable, to say the least. ✓ Missing Important FeaturesThe app should include an inventory locator for items showing as “Not Available At This Store.” There should be an option to see which stores do have the searched item. Also, I’ve physically been in stores scanning an item with my phone to confirm deals/coupon eligibility and the results show that the item isn’t available/sold at the store that I’m in, even though I’m in the store with the item in my hand! This happens regularly. So it seems a connection to live inventory definitely needs work! Also, after a coupon has been redeemed, it should no longer be visible with the active coupons. ✓ Good... few suggested improvementsI want to be clear that I’m rating the app and not the store. I love the store and the employees at the FD where I shop. I like the app. The digital coupons are a great way to save money. The in store scanner is a great way to make sure you are getting the correct product. What I don’t like... the in store scanner does not show price so I don’t always know what something will cost. That would be a huge improvement I’d also love to see a function to get price information when I’m not in the store. I’m on a budget as most people are and this goes a long way to help plan a shopping trip.
